Max is sure that Carter is the love of his life, and today's the day they finally meet.

[CookingWithCarter says: Are you sure you can take off work today, sweety? I don't want to be a bother. We can always meet later when you aren't as busy.]

[KnightsAndWeekends says: No, it's alright. If I don't take time off, they'll work me like a dog, and my vacation time will disappear. You're more important than whatever my asshole boss thinks of me.]

[CookingWithCarter says: Oh, you charmer. I'll make sure dinner's nice and hot when you get here. Oh! And I've got a new recipe you're going to love! I won't spoil it, but make sure you save room for dessert. <3 <3 <3]

A smile cracked Max's face. Carter was the shoulder to cry on that he never knew he needed, sending him new pictures of his latest culinary concoctions and listening to his problems, no matter how trivial they turned out to be in retrospect. Max almost felt selfish whenever he spoke with Carter, but there was never any judgment in the man's messages.

When they spoke on the phone, Carter's voice was the most soothing thing Max had ever heard, and from the moment he first took in those honeyed words, he knew he had to meet the 'dragon' in person.

Max still had no idea why the sweet man selected 'dragon' as his race on Monstr. He was so far from draconic that Max would think he was someone's favorite grandma if he didn't know better. The man baked like a pro, and his desserts were so perfect that you would expect to see them in a professional's cookbook.

Tonight was the night when he could finally repay Carter's kindness. Though he didn't know what the man looked like, he wanted desperately to kiss him, and he just knew that everything would fall into place from there.

Max was already so smitten that he'd caught himself browsing engagement rings before practicality won out. He couldn't 'count his chickens before they hatched,' as his father always said! Still, his gut told him that Carter was The One, and he couldn't wait to confirm his feelings.

Stopping by a flower stand to grab a bouquet for his favorite 'dragon,' Max pondered the assortment of blooms. Memories of one of their first conversations brought a smile to his face. He knew what to buy. Blue Hyacinths. In Victorian flower symbolism, it meant "Your loveliness charms me." Max couldn't think of a better way to show his feelings and commemorate their relationship.

Carter's home was in an unusual part of town. Instead of the suburbs Max grew up in or the apartment buildings near downtown, Carter lived in the warehouse district. Max could only assume that it was some hipster "reclamation project" where they turned an abandoned property into a home.

[KnightsAndWeekends says: I'm here. Do I walk in, or do you have to buzz me?]

[CookingWithCarter says: Oh, I left the side door open! Walk right in, but be a dear and close the door behind you. Dinner's almost ready, so make yourself at home! <3]

It was now or never; time for Max to meet the love of his life. Bouquet clutched in trembling fingers, he stepped through the open door, pulling it closed behind him and finding himself in a dimly lit space.

Surprisingly, the dragon's home was nothing like Max's expectations. Unlike the warehouse one would expect from its outer appearance, the inside was closer to a high-end penthouse, with immaculately clean hardwood floors, tasteful paintings lining the hall, and dozens of rooms lining either side. Just how rich was Carter?

A rich, creamy scent floated past Max's nose and nearly made him drool, leading him to a pleasantly warm, expensive-looking kitchen with an industrial-sized stove. "Oh! I wasn't expecting you to come in here." Carter's voice, shy and with the barest hint of an Italian accent, was music to Max's ears, and he turned to catch his first glimpse of the man with whom he wanted to spend the rest of his life.

Max's jaw dropped. Rather than the human he was expecting, a towering dragon at least eight feet tall stood in front of him. With scales the color of blood with an iridescent shine to them and a light coating of flour dulling their luster, and pure white horns sweeping back to curl behind him instead of hair, Carter looked straight out of a Dungeons and Dragons manual. If not for the soft smile on his maw, gentle yellow eyes, and the lacy apron covering his front, Max would have found him intimidating, but instead, the dragon gave off a marshmallowy nurturing vibe. Of course, the squishiness under that apron certainly helped.

"I'm not what you were expecting, am I?" Carter almost seemed hurt by Max's surprised expression, slumping over slightly. Fingers clutched at his apron, and tears gathered at the corners of his eyes. "Everyone's always intimidated by my size, or worse. I had to remove my pictures from Monstr because of it."

Max shook his head. He wasn't intimidated. "No, it's not that. It's-" He struggled to find words to express the oppressive, fuzzy feeling in his chest. Failing that, he crossed the distance between them and threw his arms around Carter's waist, squeezing him tightly without ruining the bouquet clutched in his hand. "You're beautiful. So impossibly beautiful that I can barely stand it." It was the truth, though it could barely describe how he felt. Carter was stunning. Like something out of a painting, not a scale was out of place, and rather than hard scales, his midsection was pleasantly doughy, with just enough squish to welcome Max's embrace. In a word, the dragon was cuddly.

"I-I am? I'm-so-glad-I-was-so-worried-you-wouldn't-like-me-I-kept-thinking-I-should-call-off-meeting-so-I-didn't-ruin-things-" Flustered, hurried speech rapid fired from Carter's muzzle, and Max had to resist the urge to laugh at the dragon's adorable confession.

Despite their height difference providing a significant hurdle, Max wrapped his arms around the dragon's neck and silenced his worried babbling with a deep kiss, his feet dangling below him. Months of yearning and pent-up feelings poured through his lips, and he felt the dragon relax instinctively into him, scaled arms returning his embrace and those bright eyes fluttering closed. Time stopped, and Max couldn't focus on anything but the soft pitter-patter of the dragon's heart against his own and the tentative roll of Carter's tongue against his.

"M-Maybe it was a good idea to meet, after all." Carter's face held a dopey smile as he leaned down to let Max regain his footing. Thick tail wagging behind him like a dog's, he finally noticed the flowers in Max's hands. "Oh! Are these for me? You remembered my favorite color! They're so pretty."

After a short sniff to sample the flower's scent, the dragon placed them in a vase on a small table nearby. "Dinner's almost ready. I only have to toss the gnocchi in the sauce after they finish boiling. Sit down and make yourself comfortable. We can talk while I cook." With a swish of his tail, Carter returned to his spot in front of the stove.

"So, how did you end up in this place? It's such a lovely home." Max took a seat, turning his chair to watch the dragon bustling around the kitchen. With a blush, he realized Carter was shirtless behind the apron. Grey sweatpants left nothing to the imagination below his waist, accentuating a plush rump and outlining every curve perfectly, while a bulge peeked out every time his apron fluttered.

Smiling in reminiscence, Carter leaned against the counter. "It's kind of a long story." His eyes took on a far away look, and he rested his muzzle on one scaly, flour-coated hand. "I guess it all started with Mamma. My favorite color is blue because of her, you know. Her face was the first thing I saw when I hatched, and her eyes were the prettiest shade. She had this way with people. She'd look at you, and you felt safe. Like you were her whole world." Practiced hands drained pasta without breaking his stride and added more to boiling water.

"Of course, she wasn't the one who laid my egg. My birth parents died, and her husband brought me home from their hoard, thinking my egg was just a large jewel. Honestly, though, I don't think it mattered to her that I'm a dragon, and she wasn't. I was her son, and she was my Mamma."

"She raised me just like her sons, taught me to cook, clean, sew, and paint. Even though my claws were clumsy, she never gave up on me." Whoosh. Flames lit the stove, and Carter tossed the first batch of gnocchi in a pan of creamy sauce, stirring it slowly.

"Even protected me. I can still remember the first and only time knights tried to take me from her." A soft chuckle quaked through Carter's scales. "She broke a broom over their leader's head and beat him with the pieces. Imagine that. A four-foot-five grandmother filled with righteous anger beating the fear of god into a man in the prime of his life."

"Anyway, when Mamma died, my brothers let me stay with them, and I've been with them and their descendants ever since. Found a hidden part of my birth parents' fortune in their old lair and invested it in my adopted family, and they've been successful merchants, businessmen, and such for generations now." He gestured around him as he transferred the pasta to a plate and repeated the process to start the next batch. "They bought me this place. I don't have to worry about people trying to out my existence here, and they visit me every few weeks. You should see their kids. So cute and playful. They think I'm a dinosaur! I don't have the heart to correct them."

Carter lit up like a light when he talked about his family, and Max couldn't help but find the nostalgia he emitted endearing. One of Max's favorite things was when a subject that someone truly cared about came up in conversation, and they couldn't stop themselves from gushing. It never failed to show someone's true character.

"Oh, I must be talking your ear off! I'm sorry." Carter slid Max's plate in front of him and sat across from him, quietly and daintily digging into his pasta. Even the way he ate was adorable, taking small bites despite his toothy maw and holding his silverware with the tips of his claws.

"No, not at all! You've got a pretty voice. I'm so used to being forced to carry conversations that it's refreshing to listen." Max tasted the gnocchi and nearly dropped his fork. Impossibly light and fluffy, the dragon's pasta was better than any chef's, and the sauce was slightly acidic and delightfully peppery despite its creaminess. He had to stop himself from shoveling the food into his mouth.

They ate in comfortable silence, though Carter seemed to notice Max's appreciation, a smile curling the corner of his lips each time the human took a bite and the soft whoosh of his heavy tail behind him showing his excitement. It seemed it wasn't often that he got to show off his culinary talents in person.

With their meal finished, Carter leaned down to take Max's plate, bringing his curved chest a few inches from Max's face. Max couldn't resist a peek down his apron, and he swallowed at the mouthwatering sight of the dragon's soft belly and slightly doughy pecs. How could someone covered in scales look so squeezably soft? He wanted to bury his face in that belly and use the dragon as a pillow!

"I should go shower and get all this flour off me." Carter seemed to notice Max's leering stare, and the human could almost swear that he was blushing. Something about the way he couldn't meet Max's eyes and his hands wrung his apron told him all he needed to know, despite the way his scales hid any actual flush in his cheeks.

"You're perfect just the way you are. I don't mind at all if you don't clean up." Max stood and stretched, stopping the dragon before he could scamper off. His arms slipped around that scaled midsection, his face rubbing against the soft fabric hiding the dragon's belly from his face. "Is there someplace we can sit and talk? I want to get to know you better." Perhaps there was a less savory motive in his voice, but they'd been together for nearly a year before today, so why shouldn't he want to take things further?

"Oh, the living room is a few doors down. I just got a new overstuffed couch that's so comfy." Shy as he was, Carter jumped at the opportunity to break the embrace, taking Max's hand and leading him from the kitchen into a cozy room with a fireplace and the most humongous TV Max had ever seen covering almost the entirety of a wall. In front of it all, a massive overstuffed leather couch that would qualify as a bed sat, covered with crocheted blankets and decorative pillows. At Max's raised eyebrow and surprised expression, he stammered out. "I-I didn't buy any of this! My nephews bought it for my birthday last year! Okay-maybe-I-bought-the-couch-but-comfort-is-important-and-I-like-to-nap-in-front-of-the-fireplace-"

Again, Max silenced the dragon's panicked voice with another deep kiss. Though this time, his tongue was far more adventurous, dipping into the dragon's maw and flicking over Carter's with passionate abandon. Gods, every part of him was so soft. Even his lips and tongue were pleasantly plush.

Surprised, the dragon fell backward onto the couch, but Max followed him down, never breaking their sweet oral embrace until a vibrating, gentle groan shook the quivering dragon, and they came up for air.

"H-How are you so good at that?" Awestruck yellow eyes stared into Max's grey ones, and Carter's fingers raised to his lips as if he could still feel the ghost of Max's kiss. "You keep blanking my mind. It's like you're casting a spell on me." Gods, his innocence and earnest words were too adorable. How could anyone resist him?

Max didn't answer, only leaning in for another fireworks-inducing kiss. Like a man on a mission, he untied the dragon's apron, revealing his bare chest. Greedy hands softly squeezed draconic pecs as he perched himself on Carter's lap, seated on his twitching bulge but never pushing things further.

"M-Max. C-Can I- I mean- Um, Can I be on top?" At Max's nod, quivering hands took hold of Max's hips to hold him in place. After repositioning, Max found himself lying beneath the dragon's bulk, ever so slightly pinned beneath his huggable stomach. Reverent, gentle hands raised his shirt, careful not to tear it with blunted claws. "Oh gosh. Can I touch you? I don't want to do anything you don't want me to do." Claws balked before they touched Max's average stomach, their tips ruffling his treasure trail and fingers twitching with the desire to go further.

"You don't have to ask permission. I want you to feel comfortable with me." Max encouraged the dragon, reaching up and rubbing one scaly cheek with his palm. Already growing hard just from watching Carter's flustered expression, it was taking everything he had to stop himself from grinding against the dragon's stomach.

Reassured by Max's words, the dragon's finger pads spread out, feeling over the human's stomach and chest as if memorizing every inch of him. Tentatively, the dragon's tongue slipped from his mouth, and he dipped his muzzle down to trace the curve of Max's pec, silky lips mouthing at his nipple. Those perfect suckling lips only remained for a moment, just long enough to send a jolt of pleasure through Max's body, before Carter's cheek pressed against him, his horns carefully angled to prevent hurting the human.

Tracing slow circles over Max's belly with his claws, Carter listened to his heartbeat in silence before a quiet voice free of embarrassment or stammering broke the silence. "Thank you." He kissed Max's pec, and Max could feel his muzzle drifting lower. "Thank you for respecting me." A kiss at the bottom of Max's ribcage sent a shiver through him. "Thank you for making time for me." Another, just above his navel. "Thank you for never pressuring me." A final kiss, just above the waistband of his pants.

Freeing Max's erection from his pants with a slow tug, Carter captured the bobbing shaft between silken lips, burying him to the root in wet, heated bliss. Thorough, circling licks massaged his member, and pretty yellow eyes closed while nostrils flared, taking in slow, even breaths. Large paws sought Max's hands, encasing them in a soft grip while luxurious suction bathed his member in a slow bobbing, almost worshipful oral embrace.

Trapped beneath Carter's weight, Max could only squirm and throb deep inside that talented maw. Like everything the dragon put his mind to, his suckling affections were a masterpiece, drawing crystalline sensations with every motion and letting no mess escape his lips. The only evidence of his maw was a glistening layer of dragon saliva on Max's length, and every drip of arousal from Max's bouncing tip disappeared down Carter's throat without complaint.

Carter was insatiably sensual and in no rush to end the moment. His slow, rhythmic slides drew increasingly desperate noises from Max's mouth, but he never faltered or changed his pace and refused to let the human take control. Instead, he seemed to delight in Max's increasingly vocal approval, pinning him under his weight and vibrating Max's shaft with approving growls.

Rather than a fleeting moment of pleasure, Max's orgasm slowly built, crashing over him like increasingly heavy waves. With a strangled gasp, he exploded against Carter's tongue, painting the depths of his maw with the most voluminous and long-lasting orgasm he'd ever had and watching in awe as that hungry muzzle swallowed every bit without spilling so much as a droplet. Pretty eyes remained closed until the final dribble graced his tongue, and he let the slightly damp shaft slip most of the way from his lips, kissing and nursing at the tip with half-lidded eyes.

"Where did you-How did you- I- I love you." Max could think of nothing else to say. Mind shorted out by intense, extended pleasure, he felt like a bundle of raw nerves, and even the slightest touch of the dragon's tongue nearly forced a moan past his lips. This situation wasn't exactly how Max imagined the four-letter word would come up, but Max meant it. He'd been in love with Carter since before he met him, and he was sure now. Carter was the love of his life.

When Carter heard Max's confession, his eyes lit up. With one final kiss on Max's softening shaft, he sat up, and the human could see the bulge in the dragon's pants throb violently, his tail thrashing behind him. "Y-You do? You love me?" Excited by the prospect, he looked as if he'd mess his pants without ever being touched, and Max licked his lips as he watched the dragon's member bounce within its cloth confines.

"I do. I love you more than anything." With the creative use of his feet, after shimmying out of the pants pooled around his ankles, Max hooked the waistband of Carter's sweatpants and dragged them down until a massive, red, steely shaft popped free, slapping against the dragon's stomach. Like the rest of him, his erection was impressive, and also, like the rest of him, the sight of it sent a thrill through Max's body.

"I love you too!" Engrossed in their embrace, Carter let his member flop down against Max's, dwarfing it with its massive pulsing length and grinding with abandon. "I-love-you-so-much-and-I-was-afraid-to-say-it-because-I-didn't-want-to-scare-you-off-but-you-said-it-first-and-ohmygosh-" Babbling in that adorable, overexcited way, the dragon humped Max's body. Pushing his mildly scented, iron-hard member against the human's stomach and pinning him against hundreds of pounds of panting dragon, his eyes took on a hungry desire.

Max could only hang on as that draconic member slickened his skin, and its thrusting head peeked from its hooded foreskin, pulsing with the dragon's heartbeat. "That's right, big guy. Let it all out. I love you so much." He cooed, encouraging the dragon's efforts and wrapping his arms around that oversized shaft, planting a kiss on its leaking crown as each heavy thrust smeared its length across his torso.

Almost chanting 'I love you' under his breath, the dragon's efforts grew more desperate, and his shaft twitched heavily, its underbelly heaving with unrestrained desire. "G-Gonna." He tried to warn Max, but there was no way to anticipate the absolute flood of gooey seed that unleashed from that massive shaft, coating Max entirely in thick dragon batter. Max held his breath as heavy white cream swallowed his world, clenching his eyes and stroking the dragon's member with every bit of himself.

After an impressive amount of time, Carter's orgasm petered off, and Max could hear him gasp as gentle fingers wiped his face, clearing his vision and allowing him to take a grateful breath. "I'm-so-sorry-I-just-got-so-carried-away-and-you're-so-attractive-"

Licking his lips free of dripping love, Max drew the dragon into another world-shattering oral embrace. He didn't release the dragon until those lips welcomed him and the dragon's tongue slipped past his lips, filling his mouth with its slippery length. When their kiss broke, he winked at the dragon's dopey, pleasured expression. "We're doing that again." Max cupped the dragon's cheek in one messy hand and stared into those pretty eyes. "We have so much lost time to make up for~."
