Ok , I know that it is a little early for a Valentines Day Story, but I wrote this for a competion on Deviantart.
I hope everyone likes it! Cause I loved writing it!

What is the best way to show someone you love them?
Flowers?
Chocolates?
Dinner at a swanky restaurant?
What if the one you love doesn't like these things? Then what do you do?

He sat at the kitchen table, arms crossed and head resting on them.
"Hey grumpy," a light voice said, as a flash pink hand bag was dropped on the table in front of him. He gazed at the fluffy tail that wagged from side to side and locked his gaze on the stark white tip, as it hypnotically waved in the air.
"I'm not grumpy," he mumbled. "I'm just deep in thought."
"Pull the other one."
"It's true."
She turned around and looked at him, then smiled and slowly sank into the chair opposite him, falling into an identical posture, and gazed into his eyes.
"What are you thinking of then?"
He smiled back.
"Maybe I don't want to tell you."
She pouted at this.
"Awws, come on, tell me."
"Ok, I was wondering what you were cooking for dinner."
She smiled at this and rose from her chair turning to the cupboards.
"You can be really mean sometimes Eric."
He smiled and rose as well, coming up behind her and putting his arms around her waist. She giggled quietly and leaned back into him, nuzzling his cheek gently. He smiled and kissed her muzzle, causing her to murr gently.
"Only cause your such a tease Shana," he whispered in her ear. She smiled and turned around so she could sink into his arms. She ran her furred hands over his bare arms. Her light touch sending shivers up his spine, and causing goose bumps to appear on his skin.
"So you want some dinner huh?" She playfully pushed him back onto the table and lay down on top of him, pinning him down. She slipped a hand up under his singlet to feel his lightly muscled body. Even though he was small, he tried to keep in good shape. He didn't go to the gym everyday or anything, but he still kept himself in good condition.
Shana smiled as one of his hands rose and gently rubbed behind one of her pointed ears, brushing away the blonde hair. He bit his tongue to stifle a laugh as her furred paw ran over his chest. He lifted his head to gaze at her, the sun shining in through the window behind her, causing her grey fur to glow.
"I was think of a side course of Eric, followed by something wild."
The way she had said 'wild' meant just that, as she brought her other paw up under his shirt and pulled it up and over his head. She kissed his neck as she did so, murring. He freed his other hand and gently stroked her back, she arched it at his touch, pressing herself firmly to him. She kissed her way up his neck until her muzzle hover close to his mouth. She was already panting deeply, her hot breath caressing his lips and cheeks.
Before she could move forward and kiss him, he lifted his head further from the table and planted his lips against hers. She closed her eyes as she pushed him back down onto the table and kissed back, cupping his cheek in one of her paws.

A few hours later, and after relocating to their bedroom, Wolf and lover held each other closely, both deep asleep in the others embrace. Shana stirred first, nuzzling against her loved one's chest, bringing a large smile to his face and waking him up. He gazed over at the clock to see it was almost 9pm.
"Are you hungry sweetheart?" he whispered, unsure if she was awake or not. A quiet Mmmhmm answered him. He smiled and stroked her head again, caressing her ears gently bring a smile to her muzzle.
He pried himself from her clutches and walked into the kitchen to retrieve the phone and a small pamphlet. He dialled in the number for the pizza place and order a large pizza. He turned at the sound of claws on tiles, to see Shana wrapped in the beds sheets, looking incredibly sexy.
"Hey hot stuff," he commented as she took a seat at the kitchen table. "Dinner will be 20 minutes."
"That's ok, I can wait that long.
She blinked a bit and looked at his back when he turned to the fridge. Her eyes widened a little and she rose and came up behind him, tracing her fingers over his back.
"Honey I'm so sorry."
"Huh? About what?"
"These scratches, some of them are bleeding, I hope I didn't hurt you."
Eric turned and smiled, pulling her into an embrace.
"They don't hurt sweetie, you never hurt me."
She smiled gently and snuggled into his embrace, breathing in his soft human scent. She couldn't understand why her parents hadn't like him initially. He was such a wonderful person, so gentle, kind, caring. The fact he was human never bothered her, and she knew it never would.
She lost track of how long they had been standing there in one another's arms, but the ring of the doorbell quickly snapped them out of their revere.
"Dinners here already?" Shana pouted slightly as Eric stood up straight.
"It would seem so sweetheart."
He walked to the front door, grabbing some cash as he went to pay for their dinner. Shana went to the fridge and got out some ice to put into their now warm drinks as the wonderful smell of pizza flooded their small home. She sniffed at the air, guessing at what Eric had ordered.
She placed their drinks on the table and waited for him to return.
"Mmm, meat lovers pizza, my favourite."
"How'd you... never mind."
He set it down on the table and opened it, Shana diving right in.
"So, what are your plans for my Valentines Day surprise honey?"
Eric smiled.
"If I told you hun then it wouldn't be a surprise," he said with a chuckle. She pouted at him and took another bite from her pizza.
"Just remember, no bouquets."
"Yes."
"No chocolates."
"Of course."
"And no fancy dinners out."
"Don't worry, I think you'll enjoy your surprise."

Eric rose early, careful not to disturb Shana who had draped herself over him during the night. He dress as quietly as possible, then giving her a gentle kiss on the cheek, he left, wallet and a small piece of paper in his hand.
He had a few things to do today, before Shana returned from her work. He was lucky that he worked from home, and his pay was pretty reasonable. He drove to a large shopping centre to get a few of the things needed for the night.
First stop, the butcher to get a nice cut of meat for dinner. Then to the bath shop to get some lovely smelling soaps and other things he knew she loved, as well as some pretty paper. Then he left to go back home, stopping off at a florist. Even though she said no flowers, she would love what he was going to do with them.
He got home and smiled at the empty driveway. Shana had left, which meant he had all day to prepare for her coming home. He had a few things he would need to do before lunch, like start on their dinner. His phone rang, which he quickly answered while he was opening the front door.
"Hi mum. Yeah I just got back from the shops. Yes mum I'll start the roast now. I know the long it's cooking the better. No I won't burn it. Are you coming tomorrow? Ok good, get here around 5ish. Alright bye."
He set his things down and went about preparing the wonderful cut of meat the butcher had supplied him. To be honest, he was glad his mother had rung. It was only his third try at a roast, and the other attempts had all ended in disaster.
He was determined to provide Shana with the best Valentines Day dinner she had had yet, even if it killed him. Well not if it killed him, because then Shana would hate Valentines Day for the rest of her life.
He smiled at where his mind could lead him sometimes as he sharpened a knife, then set to cooking just one of his surprises.
When he finally finished cooking all the delight of the night he looked at the clock on the wall.
"Damn, 3:30 already, I'd better get going, other wise one surprise will never be."
He cleaned himself up and rushed out the door, grabbing his car keys, the door self locking behind him. It was at least a 40 minute drive to the city. If he was lucky, he would miss the large chunk of rush hour traffic.
As he drive away, he hoped everything would go alright. The meat would be fine left on it's own for several hours, or so his mother had said. If he put it in on a low temperature, then it wouldn't burn, and it would still cook nicely.
Still the drive to the city was agonising, as his mind kept wandering back to the oven.
Finally, after a 50 minute drive, he made it to his destination. He got out of the car and shoved some shrapnel into a parking meter while he dial a number on his phone.
"Hey Emily," he said when the person on the other end answered. "You haven't forgotten about the letter for Shana right? That's good... Really that many huh? I'd bet if you could see Shana's ears, they would be bright red. Ok, yeah I'll see you tomorrow, bye."
And with that he walked into a store.

Shana fidgeted in her chair all that day. Several of the other girls had had things come for them, notes, flowers, gifts. Her best friend had even gotten a Singing Songbird come and sing to her how much her lover loved her and what she could expect when she saw him next.
Shana never got jealous, but she could feel the tips of her ears turning red.
It wasn't that others had gotten things, it was that she hadn't received anything. Even though she had told him not to send her flowers or anything she still sort of expected him to do something. The clock ticked over 4:30pm, time for Shana to leave. As she was packing a few items into her purse, one of the secretaries came up to her.
"Shana."
"Yeah Emily?"
"I was told to give you this before you left."
Shana smiled and thanked the tabby cat before taking the small pink envelope. She waited as Emily left, and then eagerly opened it, to find a small folded piece of paper.
"Come in the front door," was all it said.
The note was perplexing to say the least. But she smiled at it, thinking Eric might have planned a surprise in the garage or something. Wanting her to come in through the front door, instead of the garage so she wouldn't stumble upon it prematurely. She smiled to herself as she gathered her things. All that was left was a short half hour drive, which she impatiently fidgeted through the whole way.
When finally she arrived home, she had to fight the urge to peak under the garage doors at what was in there. But she was a good girl, taking hold of her handbag and walking to the front door, which strangely had another small pink envelope pinned to it.
Intrigued by the second note she eagerly opened it.
"Follow the red road."
She opened the door, and giggled at what she saw.
Red rose petals had been scattered over the floor, in a small path of sorts. She dropped her purse on the couch as she followed the rose petal path, surprisingly to the bathroom. Hanging on the door was her fluffy bathrobe, which had yet another small pink envelope pinned to it.
"Enjoy your bath sweetheart, I'll be home soon with your valentines surprise."
She took down her robe and pushed open the door.
Several candles gently burned in strategic places in the room. The lights were off and the candles cast a soothing gentle glow around the room. She striped off her work clothes and turned the taps on, looking at a small collection of scented soaps and fizzy bath bombs sitting on a small table next to the bath, along with a bottle of her favourite wine and a glass, with another small note.
"Don't drink too much," it read. She smiled and took a blue bath bomb, dropping it into the warm water, watching it fizz, and sniffing at the wonderful scent it gave off.
She slowly slipped into the wonderfully warm water, and poured herself a small glass of the wine.
After being at work all day, all her body felt like doing, was drifting off to sleep. So she rested her head back against the tiles and closed her eyes.
She awoke to a kiss on her forehead. Her eyes slowly opened and she gazed up into her lover face. He smiled back at her warmly, and stroked her cheek.
"Your back early," she whispered. "I only just got in the bath."
His smile widened at little.
"Actually honey, it's almost 6:30. You've been in there for quiet some time."
She smiled as she realized the water was no longer warm, but was now cold. Not unpleasantly so, but enough to make her want to get out and be in Eric's arms. He moved the bottle of wine and the empty glass and soaps, then placed a white fluffy towel in their place.
"Dinner will be ready soon sweet," He leant forward and gave her another kiss. Her eyes closed again, only to open when she felt him draw back.
She smiled as he walked out of the bathroom and closed the door gently. Only then did she see what hung there. A beautiful red dress, that would be past her knees, hung from a coat hanger. Shana recognised it straight away. It was a dress from a boutique in the city, one she had said she would love to have. There was yet another note pinned to the dress.
"Happy Valentines Day."
She dried off with the towel, and smiled as she felt the loose dress slip over her body. She smiled at how smooth it was. So delicate, it felt amazing. She giggled, looking at herself in the mirror. As an after thought she grabbed her curling wand and used it on the front of hair, framing her face with a few curls.
She walked out of the bathroom and immediately was hit by a heavenly smell. Deft on her feet she followed her nose to the living room. She smiled as emerged from the hallway.
Eric stood next to a table covered in a white table cloth, and in the middle was a three pronged candle stand which glowed invitingly. Eric himself was wearing a nice suit and smiled when he saw her.
"You look stunning Shana."
She smiled, feeling her cheeks burn bright red as she blushed and walked forward so she could give him a warm embrace.
"I thought I said no fancy dinners," she whispered in his ear as he pulled out a chair for he to sit in.
"Hmm, must of forgot about that one," he had a cheeky grin on his face as he slid the chair in under her. "But this is a special day, you remember why?"
She smiled as he pour some wine into her glass.
"How could I? We fell in love on Valentines Day."
"We had our first kiss on that day too if I remember correctly."
She nodded and sipped her wine as he retrieve their dinner, her eye widening at the sight of what he brought to her.
"Don't tell me you cooked that?"
"I sure did," he smiled and began slicing off pieces of meat from the roast.
"Wow, not only are you the most romantic man I know. But," she tasted the roast and smiled broadly. "You can cook divinely."
Eric smiled broadly and gave her some more of the food. Shana was amazed at how delicious it all tasted. But the really surprise came after they had their dessert. Eric took away the dishes and then returned and took her hand in his, getting down on one knee.
Shana was shocked and put a hand to her chest.
"Eric, honey what are you doing?"
"What I should have done a long time ago sweetheart," he reached into on of his jacket pockets and pulled out a gold ring with a red gem on it. "Shana Swift, will you do me the honour of becoming my beloved wife?"
Tears were beginning to streak down Shana's cheeks as she nodded and quickly bent forward to embrace her beloved.
"Yes Eric, I want to be your wife!"
She couldn't hold herself back any longer, and pushed him back onto the floor, kissing him with a passion. He stopped her long enough to slip the ring onto her finger, before she resumed her kissing, her hands stroking his cheeks and neck. His sliding up her sides and stroking her head.
"I love you," Eric managed between her kisses.
"I love you too Eric," Shana said with a slight moan.
The End
Happy Valentines Day Everyone!
