#12 of The Silver Dragon

Hello. Well here's the next chapter and I hope you like it! Credit to artist of pic and if you see any errors please point them out in the comments! Thanks for reading!

Silver flew through the clouds, carefully cradling the limp boy in his arms to make sure he didn't cause him any more pain. He reached Sky's house and flew through the open window in his room. He landed gracefully and didn't mess up too much of his friend's room.

He carefully placed the injured boy on his bed and quickly went to the bathroom to get the first aid equipment.

"At this rate, we'll have to buy a new one of these!" Silver thought.

He was trying to lighten his own mood, but the fact remained his friend was hurt, and he wasn't there to help him. He felt so useless. Next time he could get severely injured, or worse...

He didn't want to think about that. Its bad enough he wasn't there this time. So he decided to take it upon himself to keep his friend out of danger, even if that meant secretly following him around when he left the house. He knew Sky wouldn't agree but he couldn't see any other way to keep him out of harms way.

He scooped up the kit and returned to his friend. He was calmly sleeping and didn't appear to be in too much pain. Silver hastily unpacked the equipment and sorted it for quick, easy access in case something happened while he was treating him. He delicately pulled off the human's shirt and inspected his chest. It felt a little awkward but he just ignored it. He was shocked by the condition of the boy's chest.

It was all bruised up badly and some areas were bleeding. Silver didn't understand how anyone could look so calm in his physical condition. So he grabbed the disinfectant wipes and cautiously cleaned the wounds, trying to be as gently as possible and avoiding revisiting the painful areas. When he had finished he felt very hot and noticed he was blushing heavily. He couldn't help it; he found the human's body to be rather... attractive.

He just ignored it and pressed on. Before he applied the bandages he made a makeshift splint for Sky's broken fingers and carefully wrapped it around his fingers for support. Then after making sure it was on properly, delicately lifted his friend up and wrapped the bandages around his torso. Silver's face was an intense red as he finished because he realised what he needed to do next. So focusing his thoughts on something different; He carefully undid the humans trousers and slid the off.

His heart was beating wildly as he just tried to centre his thoughts on treating his friend. It was difficult though, and he felt really embarrassed. Thankfully he only had minor injuries on his legs and it only took a short time to treat. He was trying not to make it any more embarrassing by not looking "there" but his gaze caught sight of it a few times and made his heart pound harder. He felt sweaty and hot and wanted to finish quickly.

Finally he finished and let out a big sigh. He carefully slid the covers over the limp human. It took a lot longer than normal because he had to be extra careful not to further injure the human with his claws. It was lucky his uncle wasn't in; he didn't want to make the situation any worse than it already is.

He felt exhausted. Today had been an eventful day, very eventful. And he hadn't even got to ask his friend about what he decided earlier. He wanted to know what he wants to do when the strange armoured man returns for him. At least if they went to his world, they wouldn't have to hide and sneak around. But they also wouldn't have the PS3 or the TV... Silver wondered if they could bring the PS3 and TV with them.

"I don't think they'll work in my world... that sucks." He said to himself.

He could live without it. As long as his friend was there they'd have plenty to do.

He sighed. He didn't want to think about anything at the moment, too much was going on. So he sat down and turned on the TV to escape his thoughts and constant questions. It turned on and the news man appeared wearing a nice suit and was talking about a car crash on the highway.

Sky had told him, amongst other things, about cars. He thought of them as strange, automatic carts that carried people and goods long distances in a short time. They could travel as fast as him when he was flying! He found it strange that back home they had things like this, but made completely differently. Take his music player, in this world it's powered by electricity and you put music on it through a computer. Back home there powered by special sun crystals and you put music on it through... well he didn't actually know that. You just take it to a special shop and they take it and put the music you request on it. Now he was wondering how it actually worked....

Silver tuned into the news man's report when he mentioned Sky's school. The camera then swapped to an "on field reporter" who was standing outside the school with some people.

"Were on the scene with some eye witnesses. Excuse me young man. What exactly happened here today?"

The man looked quite young and was wearing a nice, blue suit.

"Well I was just leaving the school's administrative office because I just finished work. When I looked up and saw what looked like a giant, scaled bird! I couldn't believe it!"

Silver froze. They couldn't be talking about.... oh crap.

"A giant scaled bird? But that's impossible. Birds have feathers not scales."

"I know! That's why I couldn't believe my eyes! But I swear something big and scaly flew past and headed in that direction!"

Silver was worried now. He was pointing to the direction were he found Sky. Were they talking about him?

"Just in! We have managed to obtain a photo from one of the witnesses and... Wait what is that!? THAT'S NO BIRD! WHAT IS THAT!?"

The news reporter was freaking about the picture, but he isn't the only one. Silver was horrified when he saw a picture of him flying through the air came up on screen! Thankfully it wasn't clear enough to capture any clear details but it got his basic body. He was freaking out!

"Shit! How did they get that!? I didn't see anyone! Oh fuck! It's clear as day that it's not a bird! Crap, how am I going to explain this?"

He really didn't want his friend to know about this. At least they didn't know where he is. But he'll have to be extra careful now.

"Sorry viewers I lost my cool there. But for good cause! It's clearly not a bird and no other animal like it has ever been seen before! So were declaring that anyone who can get a clear photo or even catch it will get a large sum of money!"

"Oh great!" Silver said sarcastically. "If it wasn't bad enough now there hunting me!"

This isn't good. Especially if they found out Sky was hiding me. It would get him in serious trouble and it would be his fault!

"Why do bad things keep happening!?" He bellowed.

He put his hand over his mouth and realised that Sky was still asleep just behind him. He calmed himself down and glanced over at the human. He looked so carefree and calm. He wished that he could be where Sky is right now, so he could just forget about this whole horrible situation.

"....Silver."

He looked at Sky quizzically. He was talking in his sleep, he smiled. He thought it was rather cute.

"....Silver....Silver..."

"Yeah Sky." Silver replied. He didn't expect him to hear his reply.

"....Silver...I-I....."

Silver could see tears coming out of the humans eyes. He was crying. It made his heart stop, to see his friend crying, even in his sleep.

"Shhh, its ok" He reassured the boy. "I'm here and I'll always be here."

Silver spotted a smile creeping along Sky's face as he calmed down and whispered in his sleep,

".....Thank you......."

Silver smiled. And sat by his friend thinking of a way to resolve the situation...
