Chapter 19 "Moving Forward"

Aiden inhaled deeply as he stepped out of his car that bright and sunny morning. It felt good to be back on campus, and the man was actually eager to get back into academics once again. The next best thing to writing itself was teaching others proper writing methods, and he was truly looking forward to another semester of instructing young, eager minds on how to get their stories out of their heads and onto paper.

Five Paw Community College was a private college intended for those who wanted to pursue the creative arts, with different schools specializing in different fields. Aiden was only really familiar with the School of Creative Writing and the General Education School, having attended almost no classes in the other fields. Each school had it's own building with offices and classrooms equipped for the students and faculty.

Aiden was smiling as he made his way from the faculty parking lot to the Creative Writing School, glad he had come in a bit early. It gave him plenty of time to set up his office and relax before his first class, and he wanted to make sure he was awake and aware enough to differentiate between classes he was teaching, and classes he was a student in.

"Good morning, Aiden." A kindly, middle aged woman greeted him as he walked into the offices. "Did you have a good vacation?"

"Good morning, Gladys." Aiden smiled back to the woman, who acted as secretary for the writing department. "I suppose I did, yes. And yourself?"

"Oh, I went out to California with the family. Not too much to tell though. By the way, they've moved the offices around again. You're in office seven now."

"Seven? You mean, the big office?" The very notion had Aiden a bit confused. There was no way he had earned his way up to one of the larger offices yet. He hadn't even earned his Master's degree yet. "There must be some kind of mistake."

"No mistake, but don't get too excited. You have to share it. They're doubling up some of the larger offices to save space."

"Well, I guess that makes sense." Aiden sighed, not as happy with the notion. A part of him would have prefered a small office to himself rather than share a large one. "So, who am I rooming with?"

"I don't think you'll be too disappointed." Was all Gladys would say, returning to her work. "Have a good first day, Aiden."

Aiden couldn't be sure if she was being serious or not, but his question was answered the moment he stepped into the office and found Marcus already sitting at one of the desks. "Hey there office buddy. Looks like we're rooming together again."

"Guess we're stuck together for life, huh?" Aiden chuckled, adjourning to the empty desk. "At least we know how to stay out of each others way."

It wasn't much of a joke. Though the office was large for one person, with two it was actually a bit cramped. Even with the desks pushed against the walls, and the bookshelves spaced apart, there wasn't much room to stretch out. Still, they had shared a dorm room before, so sharing an office would be easy.

He settled in quickly and soon had his desk set up the way he wanted it, at least for the moment. With plenty of time left before classes, they both relaxed to catch up and get back into the feel for school.

"Man, I had no idea how much work went into planning a wedding." Marcus groaned with a pathetic smirk. "Seriously, I thought we just had to pick a date, find a place and buy a cake. But then Terra gives me a list a mile long of things we have to plan and order and set up. And of course she wants to do it as a couple, so I'm getting dragged along for the ride."

"Well, you've still got some time, right?" Aiden asked, hiding a smirk behind his coffee mug. "Have you guys picked a date yet?"

"Oh yeah, and it's sooner than you think." Marcus blew out a sigh. "Probably my fault. I made her wait so long, and now she can't wait any longer. She wants to get married in April, this April, right with the start of spring. So, we've got six months to plan everything."

"That seems like plenty of time. Unless she wants to travel to another country for the ceremony or something like that."

"No, nothing like that. But, turns out most wedding related things prefer you to book this stuff a year in advance. I guess it's because of the demand." Marcus shrugged, looking a bit defeated already. "Terra's being really stubborn about the date, too. She's actually gone to her dad to help grease the wheels, and she almost never does that. Things are going to be pretty chaotic for the next few months at my place. Do you know what needs to be done?" As he asked again, he leaned forward, ticking the tasks off on his fingers. "We have to book the location for the ceremony AND for the reception. We have to set up catering, which involves food tasting and menu planning. We have to get a cake, which against involves tastings. We have to get the invitations ordered. She wants a custom made dress just for her, so we've got to do that. We need to pick out bridesmaid dresses, and tuxedos for the guys. We need to hire a DJ. We need to pick out flowers. We need to make hotel arrangements. And this isn't even all of it! It's just what I can remember."

"Damn. Sorry man, but I am really glad not to be in your paws right now." Aiden was trying not to laugh, but given how long it took Marcus to actually propose, this almost seemed like a fitting retribution for making her wait. "I don't know how much help I can be, but you know I'm here for you."

"So long as you don't mind me complaining, we should be good." Marcus cracked a smile, then snapped his fingers as he remembered something. "There is one thing, and I do want to get it out of the way, since you're here. Aiden, you and I have been friends for a long time, and it's thanks to you that Terra and I first met. So, if you want, I'd like for you to be the Best Man. It'd mean a lot to both of us."

"Of course, Marcus." Aiden said with a soft smile. "It would be my honor to be your Best Man. Plus, doesn't that mean I get to plan the bachelor party?"

"Yeah, I guess it does. So you better make it a good one." They shared a laugh at that, already feeling like old times between the two friends. "You know though, all we have to do for the wedding wouldn't be so bad, if Terra wasn't adding to the list. She wants to take dancing classes too. She wants us to be able to dance properly at our wedding, instead of the usual crap most people do."

"Dance classes? Hard to imagine you agreeing to that."

Marcus shrugged, suddenly pretending to be distracted with a pen. "It probably won't be so bad. I can't say no to anything that means spending more time with her."

That brought a light chuckle out of the fox, which drew Marcus' attention once more. "I never would have believed you'd be the first of us to settle down, but look at you now. I remember a horny tomcat who was always on the prowl for pussy, wanting to go out every Friday night and find some action. Now you're settling down, getting married, and even taking dance classes. Looks like our little Marcus is all grown up."

"Shut up, man!" Marcus countered, throwing the pen at Aiden with a laugh. "And I still get tail every Friday night. It just happens to be the same tail, and that's fine by me."

"Yeah, you've certainly changed since freshman year." The fox quipped, smiling to himself as he thought about it. "But, it's a change for the better. I'm really happy for you. For both of you."

"Thanks man. Hell, I'm just lucky she stuck around long enough for me to get past my nerves."

Aiden was about to respond, something along the lines of Terra likely popping the question if he had waited much longer, when a knocking came from the door. "Hello Nii-san, Marcus." Jessica greeted as she stepped into the office. "Or should I be calling you professors?" She couldn't help but smirk, wagging her tail as she sauntered over towards Aiden's desk.

"I don't even make my students call me professor." Aiden responded, getting up to give his sister a hug. "What makes you think I'd make you do it?"

"I make all my students call me that." Marcus said. "Can't help myself; I love that feel of authority."

"You with any kind of authority is frightening." Aiden had to laugh, finally tossing Marcus' pen back at him.

"Just be glad you don't take any of my classes." He countered, awkwardly dodging the projectile. "Editing classes have a more rigid grading system than creative writing."

Aiden just rolled his eyes, indeed thankful not to have to take an introductory editing class again. Once was enough for him, as he much preferred the writing side of things. Shaking his head, he turned his attention to his little sister. "So, what brings you around? Eager for your first day?"

"Yeah, though I'm pretty nervous too." She admitted, though her energy and excitement were apparent as she bounced on her paws. "This place is bigger than I remember it being though. Do you think you could show me around, just so I don't get lost?" As she asked, Jessica leaned in closer, giving Aiden a big, innocent smile and batting her eyes at him. "Please, Nii-san?"

"I'm not sure I have the time for that." Aiden sighed, glancing at his watch. "I'm teaching a class at ten, and I don't want to be late. Plus, I don't really know the Communication School all that well. I think I only ever had one class in there, and that was years ago."

"Aw, but I wanted to spend some time with you." Jessica pouted, not letting up just yet. "Not even a quick tour of things like where the library and the cafeteria are? We've got time for one quick walk around the campus."

He tried to think of a way out of it, but when she flashed those baby blues, there was no way Aiden could say no. With a resolute sigh, he caved. "Alright, but just a quick one. I'll show you where all the important buildings are at least."

"Yay!" Jessica practically jumped for joy, taking Aiden's arm in hers as she lead him out the door. "Thanks so much, Nii-san. I knew I could count on you."

"Yeah, yeah..." He rolled his eyes, waving over his shoulder at Marcus. "Looks like I'm going for a walk. Catch you later."

Jessica didn't really need the guided tour of the campus. She remembered the layout pretty well, though the refresher didn't hurt. Really, she just wanted some time with her brother, alone time like the sort she hadn't had since he moved out on his own. She missed spending time with Aiden, and intended to remedy the problem while she could.

"So, this may be touchy but, you really broke up with that girl?" The sly vixen asked nonchalantly as they walked through the campus grounds. "You weren't with her for very long."

"No, it didn't work out." Aiden hesitated a bit in his response, thrown off by the sudden questioning. "And I didn't break up with her. She broke up with me."

"Whatever, it's still her loss." Jessica shrugged, as if it didn't really matter to her who initiated it. "You can do better than her anyway. A guy like you could have anyone he wanted, and deserves someone who truly loves you for who you are. Someone who knows you inside and out."

"I've heard that before." He muttered, missing her pointed look as he gazed off into the distance. "Really, I think I'm not going to worry about dating for a while. I'd rather spend that time working on my novel."

"Well, if that makes you happy." Jessica leaned into him, hugging his arm tightly. "You don't need to date other girls anyway. They're all just a distraction, and up to no good. You're little sister is all you need, right Nii-san?" She looked up at him, flashing those baby blues once more. It was the look she used to make both her father and brother melt, knowing they just couldn't resist.

"You are something else, kid." Aiden chuckled, ruffling her hair a bit. "What's with the sudden concern about my dating life anyway? Since when is it your business who I'm dating?"

"Since always." Jessica countered. "You're my one and only big brother. I need to make sure you don't get tricked by some devil woman who'll only use you then rip out your heart and tear it to pieces."

"I think you're being a bit over dramatic." Aiden chuckled. "Nothing like that is going to happen. I think I'm a better judge of character than that."

"What about Layla?"

The question caused him to pause, but Aiden managed to work through it. "Layla... was a mistake, I admit. But I've learned from that mistake, and I don't intend to repeat it."

"Well, I'll just be here to make sure you don't." Jessica grinned, giving his arm a squeeze. "No one's going to break my Nii-san's heart on my watch."

"You're such a goof." Aiden laughed, breaking away to poke her nose. "Thanks for the concern though. But if I'm to be a good nii-san, then I have to make sure you get to class on time. It's your first day, so get going. It'll also look pretty bad if I'm late to teaching my own."

"Oh alright." She sighed through a smile. "Do you think we can have lunch together? I don't have any classes between noon and two."

"Yeah, I should be free around noon. Just come by the office again, and I'll properly introduce you to the wonderful culinary choices of the school's cafeteria." His words were dripping with sarcasm, but they only brought a laugh to his sister's face.

Not wanting to be late, Aiden left Jessica to find her own way to class with little more than a kiss on the forehead and a wish for good luck. She knew her way around though, and was just happy she could once again spend time with her older brother, just the two of them.

Especially without having to worry about some girlfriend getting between them.

"Another day, another dollar." Jacob muttered to himself as he locked the front door to the art supply shop, flipping the sign over to 'Closed'. It had been a fairly productive day, too. Thanks to the proximity to the community college, they always saw a nice uprise in business at the start of each new semester. Students would come scrambling in to get their much needed art supplies, and teachers would come in to get ideas for projects for their students.

Of course, it didn't matter who came in for what reasons to Alice, so long as they made a profit. "Have I ever mentioned that I love the start of the school year?" She asked aloud as she counted up the day's profits. "It's seriously better than Christmas."

"Yes, you have." Jacob chuckled as he started to sweep up. "In fact, you mention it every year when the school opens again. You might as well declare it an unofficial holiday."

"Oh, that's a good idea." The gears were already turning in Alice's head. "Next year, we could set up signs, and take an ad out in the paper or something. Maybe do a big BOGO sale: buy one, get one half off on select supplies. I bet we'd make a killing."

Jacob could only shake his head and laugh. No matter what anyone might say, Alice truly was a savvy businesswoman. People thought she was crazy for buying out and taking over the failing supply store in the heart of the city, but she managed to turn it around in just a few years, especially by marketing towards the college and giving special discounts to students. It had become quite the success, and while they weren't exactly rolling in it, the store was able to turn a decent profit year after year.

"So, how are things going with you and that hunky fox?" Alice had to pry as she finished up some paperwork. "You said he broke up with that girl he was dating, right? Have you swooped in to fill the void yet?"

"No, Alice." Jacob responded a bit indignantly. "I'm not going to pull some underhanded move like that. Aiden just got broken up with, and he's a bit off still. What kind of friend would I be if I took advantage of that for my own gain? Plus, I don't want to just be some kind of rebound. I'd like more than that."

"There you go with that conscience again." She chucked, leading the way out. "You should be proud of that though. It'll make for a better relationship in the long run."

She locked the door tight and turned to the coon with a wide grin. "Hey, let's go out and celebrate! We made a huge profit today, so we should get our drink on. We could relax, knock back a couple beers and just enjoy the night. What do you say?"

"Sounds good to me." Jacob said with a shrug. "I could go for some beers, and it's been a while since chilled together. We can hit that place near my apartment. I swear they have the best nachos in the city."

"Well now I'm sold." She laughed. "How could I pass that up?"

The small dive bar Jacob had mentioned was the perfect place to relax and celebrate a day's victory. The music was upbeat, the atmosphere was friendly and the nachos were indeed sublime. The two had found a small table where they could knock back a couple beers and unwind without being disturbed, and the bobcat was eager to take advantage of the situation for more gossip.

"So, how long are you gonna wait before you try to hook up with him?" She asked bluntly. "Knowing that guy, if you wait too long someone else will snatch him up again."

"It'll happen when it happens." Jacob said with a bit of annoyance. "Aiden isn't just some hot guy I want to get with, he's also my friend. His feelings are important to me, and he's worried that people just use him and take advantage of him. I don't want to do that, out of respect. I just have to keep being his friend, and let him know that there can always be more."

"Smart. The show of respect should help you get into his pants." Alice grinned at him as she took another sip of her beer. "I mean, it would certainly help you get into mine. Better for a long term relationship too, especially if you want to get serious with him." It was then she looked sternly into Jacob's eyes. "How serious do you want to get with this guy?"

"I... I don't know." Jacob pulled back, glancing away awkwardly. "Isn't that getting a bit too far ahead? We're still just friends; it's a bit too early to be thinking about anything like that."

Though he was looking away, he could still feel his friend's glare fixed on him, and it was making him nervous. "Jacob, I've known you for a long time, and I consider you a very close friend. It's because of this that I know how you get when things start to get serious. You always start to become distant, and end up pushing the other person away, or scaring them off. I love you babe, but I think you may have a serious commitment phobia."

"I do not." Jacob countered defensively. "I admit I may not be the best at showing my true feelings, but I am not afraid of commitment. You want someone like that, look at my friend Marcus. He dated the same woman for six years before finally proposing to her. Now that's a guy with commitment issues."

"You're deflecting." Alice teased, forcing a nacho into his mouth before he could talk his way out of it. "Look, I just don't want you falling into the same cycle again with this guy, considering all the work you're putting into this. Plus, I'd hate to see a friendship ruined over a bad attempt at dating."

Jacob frowned at her as best he could with food in his mouth. It didn't help that there had been a slice of jalapeño on it, which quickly reduced him to tears and deep gulps of beer. "Dammit, Al." He finally managed to mutter through stinging tongue. "Listen, I'm grateful for the concern but I don't think it's gonna be an issue. Aiden's my friend, and I've already told him how I feel about him. I'm not gonna give up, but I don't want to pressure him either. Whatever happens, happens, and that's all I can realistically be satisfied with."

"I suppose that makes sense, in a passive aggressive sort of way." She teased, nabbing a chip for herself. "And you're a totally pussy if you think these are too hot." The bobcat ate the chip, jalepeño and all with a satisfied smirk. "Barely even tickles."

"Yeah, but you practically live on spicey food." Jacob snorted, still waiting for all the feeling to return to his tongue. "I don't really care for it myself. You know I prefer savory and salty foods."

"Is that why you eat so much take out and microwave meals?" Alice continued to tease. "Do you even know how to use a stove? We should move in together, so I can cook for you and make sure you get some healthy foods in you. Make sure you get all your veggies and proteins and what not."

"I eat just fine, thank you very much." Jacob countered. "There are plenty of vegetables in Chinese food, and with the right toppings a pizza can cover all the basic food groups. And I assure you I get plenty of protein." He smirked over his beer glass for that one, not able to help himself.

"Suit yourself." She shrugged, choosing to ignore the innuendo. "Hey, what you really need to do is bag yourself a cutie who knows his way around the kitchen. I could just picture it now: waking up in the morning to the smell of coffee and bacon, and heading into the kitchen to see that hunkey fox standing in front of the stove wearing nothing but an apron. Now that's a good way to start the day."

"Heh, yeah..." Jacob muttered, now stuck with the mental image of Aiden in nothing but an apron. "He does know how to cook, too. Took a couple classes back in college. He said it was to help him date women, but I think he just genuinely enjoys it. Cooking is like his hobby."

"Well that's perfect then." Alice declared triumphantly, raising her glass high in a toast. "Here's to hoping things work out between you two and you make out like bandits all night long."

Jacob could only laugh at that, indulging her as they continued to drink and talk. After a few more rounds they ended up back at his place, neither one sober enough to drive. They ended up on the coon's couch, him sitting at one end while she lay across it, her legs in his lap as they shared a joint.

"You should get that fox stoned." Alice muttered from out of nowhere, never one to let a topic die until beaten to death. "I bet he'd be easier after some of this stuff."

"He can't smoke anymore." Jacob responded with a puff of smoke. "He's a teacher over at Five Paws. If he got caught with it in his system, he'd be out of a job. We used to all smoke together, back when we were students, and I don't think he was ever easy then. It's alcohol that usually gets Aiden in trouble."

"Really? This stuff was always a guaranteed way to get my pants off." She mused, taking the cigarette from him and pulling a drag. "Of course, you knew that already." The bobcat couldn't help but smirk, playfully running her paw under his chin. "Man, we had some times, didn't we?"

"Yeah, well a lot has changed since then, hasn't it?" He chuckled, pushing her paw away. "It just didn't feel right anymore after you came out."

"Oh sure, you could fuck me when I was a man." She laughed. "Of course, you helped me realise who I really am. Oh, check this shit out."

She suddenly sat up, giving Jacob the joint back before lifting her shirt and bra. "You haven't really seen what those estrogen pills have done, have you. Give these babies a feel and tell me what you think."

"Not like I have anything to compare to." Jacob rolled his eyes, giving her petite breasts a squeeze. "Squishy, yet firm. Is that what they're supposed to feel like?"

"Yes." She stated rather proudly. "And they're finally big enough that I can wear a real bra. Still, I'm thinking of getting some implants to make them really noticeable. Nothing crazy, just one more cup size and I'd be happy."

"Certainly be easier than the other surgery you need." Jacob nodded as he killed the joint. He slowly let the smoke out before continuing. "I suppose you've still got some time before you can get that though, huh?"

"Yeah, unfortunately." Alice sighed as she redressed. "To be honest, I'm scared to death of that one. Implants are relatively minor compared to complete gender reassignment. I've never really liked the idea of surgery anyway, so it's been pretty difficult to wrap my head around." A smirk crossed her face then, a bit of deviousness in her eyes. "Say, you want to see it?"

"Nothing I haven't seen before."

"Yeah, but the estrogen has had an effect on it, too." Standing up, Alice undid her pants, lowering them and her panties to give Jacob a peak. "See; small and dainty, and a lot less manly than it used to be."

"Most people would be ashamed of that." Jacob chuckled. What he once remembered as being a rather pleasant looking, average sized penis had shrunk down noticeably. Her balls also seemed to be a bit smaller than he remembered, though it had been some time since he had last seen them. "I suppose all that really matters is that you feel comfortable in your own body. If it helps, then who's to complain?"

"Not me." She admitted, covering herself once more. "I don't know if I'll ever build up the money or courage to actually get the surgery, but for now this definitely helps."

She sat back down next to Jacob, leaning against his shoulder. "Hey, wanna go a round for old time's sake? That stuff's making me feel a little frisky."

Jacob could only chuckle, already shaking his head. "Sorry Al, but I'm gay. I don't really like having sex with women."

"Only you could reject me in a way that makes me feel better about myself." She laughed, giving him a light punch in the arm. "I'm still stealing half your bed tonight though. Want to enjoy the comfy mattress of yours before you stain it with fox spunk. I know you can bag him if you try. You're a great friend, and anyone would be lucky to have you as a boyfriend."

"My bed is your bed." He smirked, rolling his eyes at her perversion. Still, it was a bit easier to sleep with a friend nearby. Jacob sincerely did hope that one day, very soon, he would be able to enjoy that comfort with Aiden. Her words had filled him with a bit of confidence, and as Jacob lay in bed, Alice snoring next to him, he was already imagining just what he would say when he next approached the fox.

"You don't really have to stay here with me all day, y'know." Max sighed as she threw a sidelong glance Cheryl's way. "I appreciate what you're trying to do, but if you're just going to sit around bored, then you might as well go back home and get some work done."

Ever since Max had been attacked, Cheryl had come by the apartment everyday, for at least a few hours. It was fun at first, but today Max just wanted to relax and catch up on her shows. The torgi was being a good friend, just trying to keep her company while Aiden was at work, but she clearly had little interest on watching DVR'd episodes of things like "Glee" and "Dancing With the Stars", and her boredom was starting to get on the skunk's nerves.

"I'm just trying to help." Cheryl pouted, scooting over to lean against Max's shoulder. "I just want to make sure you're going to be okay. I know how your thoughts get when you're alone for too long."

"I'll be fine." Max said, forcing a smile. "Relatively speaking anyway. I can go back to work again next week anyway. It'll be better once I can leave the house and work."

"So, your head doesn't hurt anymore?" Cheryl asked, innocently walking her fingers along Max's thigh. "No more headaches or dizzy spells or anything like that?"

"Not for the past few days." Max admitted. "Honestly, I feel like I could have gone back to work this week, but the Mistress insisted I take another week off. I mean, Aiden got stabbed and he's already back to work. I get a bump to the head and I'm put out for half a month."

"She's probably just afraid you'll get dizzy and fall off the table." Cheryl teased. "That would be rather embarrassing; her best dancer falling on her ass in front of all those customers."

"Yeah, I guess that would be pretty bad for my reputation." Max laughed. "But if I take too much time off, I might get rusty. Can't let people down with a piss poor performance."

"You? Never." Cheryl smirked, leaning in closer. "Though, I suppose there are ways to stay in shape here at home."

Max arched an eyebrow at that, finally noticing just how close her friend had gotten. "And what exactly do you have in mind, perv?" She asked, knowing full well the answer.

"Maybe some stretches, heavy breath exercises, things like that." Cheryl smirked playfully, her chin resting on Max's shoulder. "All things we can accomplish with a good fucking."

"You're so predictable." Max chuckled, rolling her eyes."

"Well, we don't have to." Cheryl countered with a small pout. "But, it has been a while, and neither one of us is seeing anyone right now. It's supposed to be good stress relief too. Just think of it as a kind of therapy."

"You're something else." Max smirked, never surprised by her friend's boldness. "Alright, I suppose we could go a round. But nothing too crazy; I am still supposed to be taking it easy."

"You know I won't push you too hard." Cheryl said with a grin, leaning in to lay some kisses on the side of Max's neck, which quickly brought out a gasp from the skunk. "We'll just take it easy and enjoy ourselves, like we always do."

Cheryl was quick to make her moves, purring softly into Max's ear as she trailed kiss along her neck. Her hands were softly gliding over the skunk's stomach, keeping her close as she worked to get her friend in the mood. "Oh Maxi..." she moaned softly, nipping at her ear as she cupped one of her breasts.

Max was too busy gasping and moaning to answer, craning her head to the side to give Cheryl better access. The idea of some tender loving did have it's appeal, she had to admit, and at least Cheryl would be gentle.

Soon she was on her back, the torgi laying atop her as she kissed and licked at her sensitive neck. Her hands roamed over the skunk's body, sneaking under her shirt to find and grasp at those big breasts. Their bodies writhed together on the couch, not needing to speak as they moved in unison, both falling into the feelings of lust and companionship.

Cheryl lifted up Max's shirt and bra with ease, freeing those breasts before sitting up to remove her own shirt. "Maxi, is it okay if I use them for a bit?" Her hands were gently massaging those furry mounds while she bit her lip guiltily. "I won't make a mess, I promise. I just... I'd like to feel them, if that's alright?"

Max sighed, but there was a smirk on her muzzle. "Well, alright. But just for a little but, okay." She cupped her hands around her breasts, squeezing them together nice and tight. "Go ahead, have your fun."

Cheryl squealed as she unzipped her shorts, freeing her shaft and giving it a few soft strokes before pushing it between the skunk's breasts. "Thank you Maxi. I know you don't care for it but it just feels so good." Giggling, she placed her hands over Max's and started slowly thrusting, getting a shiver from the warm embrace and soft fur brushing over the skin of her penis. It was a tight and perfect fit, as far as she was concerned.

Max just rolled her eyes and let her have her fun. She was content to just watch for now, figuring she'd get her turn soon enough, as it were. She closed her eyes for now, trying to relax and just enjoy the feeling as best she could. If she concentrated, she could almost feel Cheryl's heightening pulse through her dick as it thrust in and out of her cleavage. It was, admittedly, calming to be intimate with someone so trustworthy, and Max soon found herself moaning softly as she lost herself in the moment.

Suddenly, Cheryl reached up to pinch Max's nipples, giving her rings a light tug. Normally, the skunk would enjoy the treatment, but this time she felt a twinge of pain, and winced sharply. It was a pain similar to what she had felt that night, and it had her mind recalling the scene despite her best efforts to forget it.

When she opened her eyes, she saw Cheryl leaning over her, with nothing but kindness and desire in her eyes, and some concern it seemed. But whenever she closed them again, it was Walter Schleck looming over her, abusing her breasts for his own sadistic designs. It was enough for her mood to shift, and her calm demeanor was quickly giving way to panic and fear. She wanted to open her eyes and see Cheryl over her, but was too afraid that it would be the weasel, and that she'd be forced to relive the nightmare all over again.

"S-Stop!" She suddenly cried out, wrapping her arms tightly around her chest as she tried to push away. "Please, get off me!"

Cheryl hesitated for just a moment, taken by surprised by the sudden request. But as soon as it registered she slipped aside, kneeling on the floor beside her friend. "Maxi, it's okay. We don't have to do anything more. I'm right here, honey. It'll be okay."

Max was breathing heavily, but when she opened her eyes and saw Cheryl there, her fears finally left her, though a few tears remained in her eyes. "I'm sorry." She muttered, her voice a bit choked. "I tried... I wanted to do it. But then I saw him, and... I just couldn't."

"It's okay Maxi." Cheryl insisted, placing a comforting hand on her shoulder. "It's alright. We don't have to do that or anything else you don't want to do."

Max rolled over, wrapping her arms around her friend's shoulders in a tight hug. "Dammit, I don't want this." She muttered through a few tears. "It's not fair. I really wanted to do that, too. But, I just don't think I can."

"Maybe you just need a little more time." Cheryl offered, not really sure herself. "Or, maybe you just need to do something empowering. Something to help you feel more in control of your own body." She didn't really know if it would help, but it sounded reasonable with her. She pulled back from the hug with a smile as an idea crossed her mind. "Hey, how about some shopping therapy? We could go buy you some new outfits, cruise around the mall a bit, and just do whatever the hell we want."

"Well I do like shopping." Max said with a sniffle. "And I could use a new winter outfit or two."

"That's the spirit." Cheryl cheered her own, rising to her paws and putting her shirt back on. "And then maybe after we can treat ourselves to a nice dinner, or do something really crazy, like get body piercings or something."

"Okay." Max nodded, sitting up to adjust her own clothes. "But, what about you, and that?" She pointed to Cheryl's crotch, feeling a bit guilty. "I don't want to blue ball you or anything."

"Oh I'll be fine." She insisted. "I can suck myself off later tonight or something. I'm more concerned about cheering you up. Now, come on! Let's go paint the town red."

"Alright, alright." Max laughed, glad to have Cheryl around to cheer her up. The idea of a new piercing had certainly peaked her interest at least. And she had always enjoyed shopping.

The two women spent a good portion of the afternoon shopping for clothes, hitting the various outlet stores and liquidation centers to get the best deals on the latest fashions. The bargain hunt was good for Max; a distraction she enjoyed that kept her mind off things and made her feel better about herself. Of course it helped having Cheryl around, as the two spent just as much time goofing off in the dressing rooms as they did actually shopping.

After a few hours of shopping therapy and a nice meal and a local diner, the girls were on the road again, milling about the streets as they gossipped about nothing.

"Hey, were you serious before?" Max suddenly asked as they drove aimlessly in the late evening. "About doing something crazy, like getting piercings?"

"Yeah, I guess." Cheryl smirked from the driver's seat. "Why, what do you have in mind?"

"Well, why not just do that?" Max shrugged. She was feeling a bit impulsive, wanting to continue that somewhat selfish therapy. "Let's go get something pierced."

"Really? Sweet. Let's hit that place that did your nips. They were pretty good if I remember right." She was already making the turn towards the parlor, a bit of excitement in her own eyes. "Any ideas on what you want to get done? Maybe add to your pussy or something?"

"No, nothing like that." Max was already shaking her head. "I like my clitty ring, but I don't want too much down there. That'll just be a distraction. Honestly, I've been debating between a few things, like the bridge of my snout, or one of those beautiful corset style piercings. But for now, I think I'll keep it simple and go for my belly button."

"Oh, that sounds nice. Simple, yet so much you can do with it. I could so see you wearing one of those waist chains, especially while working."

"Yeah, I was thinking along those lines." Max admitted. "Or perhaps some nice charms. What about you? What do you want to get pierced?"

"My tongue." Cheryl said without hesitation, sticking said organ out of her mouth. "I've always wanted to get a tongue stud, but I just never bothered to, or I chickened out. But tonight is a night to be impulsive, so I'm finally going to do it."

"You're such a perv." Max laughed. "You just want one of those because they're supposed to help with giving head. You've got such an oral fixation I swear."

"No, that's not the only reason." Cheryl snapped back, blushing slightly. "While it is true, they are supposed to making giving head feel better, I also want one because I think they're hot. It's a subtle, sexy thing to show off my wild side while still being able to look professional when I need to. Besides, I don't really need any extra help with my blowjobs."

Max laughed at that, Cheryl clearly proud of her boast. She couldn't doubt her friend's words, either, given the torgi's love of that act.

They arrived at the parlor in short time, Cheryl's eagerness getting the better of her as she practically dragged the skunk inside. "We're here to get pierced!" She announced boldly, startlingly the artist behind the counter.

The man, a lean and heavily pierced otter in his own right, smirked as he looked the two women over. "Alright then. You two haven't had anything to drink tonight, have you? We only cater to sober customers."

"Sober as a priest on Sunday." Cheryl proudly reported, to which Max gave a confirming nod. "We're just in a spontaneous mood tonight, and want to do something special to celebrate life, or whatever."

"Fine with me." The man shrugged. "So, what are we getting tonight, ladies? We going for matching sets, or are we each getting something different."

Cheryl looked back to Max, who had turned to look through the various pieces of jewelry available. Some of the nipple rings had caught her eye, and she was thinking of picking up a couple while they were there. "You go ahead hun. I can wait my turn."

"Suit yourself." Cheryl grinned before turning back to the man. "I'd like to get my tongue pierced please. Right through the middle." She was already sticking her tongue out, as if expecting him to shove a needle through it right over the counter.

"Alright, come over here and we'll take a look. You're friend can come to, if she wants to watch."

Admittedly curious, Max did follow the two around to the back room, where the expert set Cheryl up in a chair. "Alright, first we have to make sure you can get your tongue pierced. Some people have a vein that runs right through the tongue, so we can't pierce that. If you're good to go, it'll just be a quick prick and you're good to go. Just remember, you'll have to brush your tongue every day to keep it clean. Use mouthwash after every meal for about six weeks to prevent an infection, and you can't take it out until after six months. No solid foods for a while either, and if you have any bad tastes or pain in your mouth, go see a doctor. Now, with that out of the way, are you all set?"

"Let's do it." Cheryl answered bravely, stealing her nerves for this. "I want to do this before I chicken out."

Chuckling to herself, Max watched as the man first checked Cheryl's tongue, then deciding it was okay, pulled out a small pair of tongs and a rather large looking piercing needle. Despite her curiosity, she had to look away as he stuck it through, though she heard Cheryl try to gasp, jumping a bit from the sudden bite.

A few seconds later and she was done, left holding some cotton against her tongue. "Let that sit for a bit, just to make sure it isn't bleeding, and you should be all ready to go. Let me know if you feel dizzy or anything. Don't want you passing out."

"I'm fime." Cheryl tried to say past her swelling tongue, though she was feeling an odd rush of excitement and adrenaline from it all. Still, she was quite proud of herself for finally going through with it.

"Alright, and how about you?" The otter turned to ask Max. "You getting the same, or something else?"

"Actually, I just want to get my belly button pierced." She responded, lifting up her shirt to show off her stomach. "Preferably with a gold colored piercing stud, if you have any. And you can save the typical speech about keeping it clean. I've had work done before."

In keeping with trying to feel empowered and in control, she lifted her shirt the rest of her the way, grabbing her bra on the way up to flash the man. While she never really minded showing off for people, Max just wanted to have the control over who and when she showed off.

The otter smirked, nodding his head at the work. "Very nice. Please tell me you got them here."

"Well where else would I go?" She laughed, fixing her clothes. "This is the most reliable place in the whole city."

"Glad to hear it." He smirked, leading her into the seat as Cheryl sat to the side. "I think we have a piercing stud that's gold plated. I'll have you set up and ready to go in no time."

This piercing was a bit simpler than a tongue, and certainly more so than her nipples or clit. After a bit of surface disinfecting, the otter deftly worked his magic, pushing the needle through the top of her navel with ease. Max winced with a sharp intake of air at the pain, like a strong, lingering pinch, or getting stung perhaps. But like Cheryl it was over quick, with nothing more than a lingering numbness and some cotton to deal with.

"Try not to put any pressure against that for a few weeks." The man advised. "And no taking it out for at least six months. After that, you can change it out for whatever you like, or even get larger gauges for it."

"Oh, I'll definitely be back for some of those." Max promised, leading Cheryl back to the front counter so they could settle up. "I'd also like some of these charms, for my nipples. Those butterflies are too cute to pass up."

After paying for the damages, the two ladies got back in the car to head to their respective homes. Cheryl said very little, but every time she tried, her swollen tongue made her sound ridiculous, so she eventually gave up trying. That was fine with Max, who was still enjoying the thrill of spontaneity. It seemed odd, but that one simple act had helped her feel just a bit more in control of her own body. It was something Schleck had tried to take from her, and something the skunk was determined to get back, no matter how difficult to journey.

The first week of school came and went in a flash, as it usually seemed to as far as Aiden had noticed. Very little real work ever got done in those first few days, students and teachers alike too busy getting back into the swing of things to properly make any progress in classes. Still, the fox didn't think he'd have any trouble this year. He seemed to have a fine set of eager young minds to mold over the course of the semester, and his own classes looked to be both interesting and informative. Over all, he thought things were starting to look up once more.

As per his usual routine, the end of the week found Aiden sitting on a stool in his favorite bar, just a few blocks from home. While others may have been spending their Friday night wallowing in misery or drinking to forget, Aiden was just there to unwind with a gin and tonic and relax his mind.

One thing he didn't want, however, was to end up in someone elses bed by the end of the night, an occurrence that was too common for his liking. Cheryl's words still stung with some truth, and Aiden was determined to try and correct that issue, that easiness and susceptibility that seemed all the stronger after a couple drinks. That was why he had given the bartender explicit instructions not to let him go home with a stranger tonight. He just wanted to have a couple drinks, then go home to crash in his own bed. A nice, quiet, relaxing way to end the week.

Aiden was about halfway through his second glass, feeling rather mellow and at ease, when a hand clapped him on the shoulder, making him jump and almost causing him to spill his drink.

"I thought I might find you here tonight." Jacob was smirking somewhat proudly as he slid into the stool at Aiden's side. "Always gotta end your week with those gins, don't you?"

"You know me too well." Aiden chuckled, tipping his glass in acknowledgement. "Maybe I am too set in my routines, but they help me feel calm and grounded." He went to take a sip, casting a sidelong glance the raccoon's way. "It's not like you to come out all this way for a drink though. What brings you to my dark little bar?"

"Ah, yeah, well the thing is..." Jacob suddenly cleared his throat, his confidence crumbling a bit, rattled by nervousness. "The truth is, I was hoping we could talk... about us."

Aiden blew out a sigh. He knew this would be coming eventually, even he wasn't that dense, but was still somewhat thankful that Jacob was going to be direct about it. He turned to look more directly at his friend, not exactly resistant to the idea of at least talking. "I guess we should, huh? Though, I admit I don't really know what to say."

"That's fine. I was honestly expecting to do most of the talking anyway." Jacob quickly looked around. The bar, while quiet, was rather populated that night, lacking any real isolated areas for personal conversation. "Could we go somewhere more private though? This isn't really the kind of thing I want to talk about in front of others."

"Sure, we can just go to my place." Aiden downed the last of his drink in one gulp, then groaned with a shake of his head. "Wait, Max is still home. She's still on leave for her concussion and doesn't go back to work for a couple more days."

"Well, why don't we just go to my place then?" Jacob offered, trying not to sound too excited by the idea. "It will just be the two of us, alone, and free to talk about whatever we want uninterrupted."

Aiden hesitated for a moment, looking the coon over. He was trying hard not to go home with other people after drinking, wanting to end the habit of one night stands that always seemed to follow. But this wasn't just some stranger; this was Jacob, his friend for quite a few years. If he couldn't trust him, who could he trust?

"Alright then, let's go." Aiden decided, quickly paying his tab before following Jacob out to his car.

Somehow they managed to avoid the more important topic on the ride to Jacob's apartment, distracting themselves with the usual banter about video games, music and science fiction novels. it was the typical kind of conversation that put them both at ease and that their friendship had essentially been founded on. Through it all, Jacob was intent to see if that friendship could turn into something more.

"Make yourself at home." Jacob offered as the two men entered his small yet cozy home. Little more than an all purpose living space with attached bathroom, Aiden always though the unorthodox layout always felt so appropriate for Jacob. They entered into the living area, set up with couch and tables, and a kitchenette to one side. The bedroom, as it were, lay just further in, though no walls separated the two rooms, making the whole place feel bigger and more open.

Aiden made for the couch while Jacob headed into the kitchenette. Would you like anything to drink? I've got a couple beers still, and there's some whiskey running around here somewhere."

"I think I've had enough booze." Aiden admitted with a chuckle. "Some water might be nice though. Don't want to be hung over in the morning."

"You don't look nearly drunk enough to worry about that." Jacob laughed, bring over a couple glasses of water for them both. "But, if you do get hungover, I'll be more than happy to take care of you."

"I bet you would." Aiden smirked, accepting the glass with a nod as the coon sat beside him. "But I'd rather pass on the headache if I can avoid it."

"Of course." Jacob nodded, and the pair quickly fell into silence after that. Jacob's nerves were getting the better of him once again, knowing what to say but afraid he might come off the wrong way. If he could, he would have simply tried to take Aiden right then and there, but this wasn't just some pick-up at a bar; this was his friend, and someone who he had deeper feelings for. Plus, he didn't want the fox to think he was taking advantage of him.

For his part, Aiden was just waiting for Jacob to say something, anything at this point. He knew what the man was likely going to say to him, and admittedly he wasn't sure he had an answer for it. He still wasn't sure if he quite felt that way about other men, though he had never really thought about it before. Still, if he was going to explore that possibility, better to do it with a friend than a stranger, right?

"So, uh, I'm not really sure how to say this." Jacob muttered, rubbing the back of his head nervously. "Tried to plan out this conversation for days, but now that you're here, I'm feeling a bit tongue tied." With a self depreciating smirk, her turned to look more directly at the fox. "Aiden, I want you to know that I value our friendship first and foremost, and if I can't have anything else, I don't want to lose that. But, if there's a chance we can be something more than friends, I'd like to try for it. As I've told you, I've kind of had a bit of a crush on you for some time now, and I can continue to ignore it if you'd rather we just stay friends. I'm not expecting any kind of commitment, mind you, just... I don't know. I just want my one chance is all, if that's alright with you."

Aiden had to think about it for a moment, but he never broke eye contact with Jacob. The request was pretty much what he had expected, and the directness left little confusion in Aiden's mind was to what was really wanted.

"I don't know." He admitted at length. "I've never really thought about being with another man before. I know I did some things with Cheryl that made me question myself, but she was still basically a woman. I don't know if I like men that way, in all honesty."

"Well, I can help you figure that out, if you want." Jacob couldn't help but smile softly. He hadn't been outright rejected yet, so maybe there was still a chance. "Nothing crazy mind you, but we could just try making out for a bit and see where things go."

The thought mulled around Aiden's head for just a moment before he placed his glass on the table with firm resolution. "Yeah, why not? I'm not dating anyone, so I guess I can do whatever I want. Plus a little experimentation never hurt anyone."

"That's the spirit." Jacob was grinning like a fool now, already moving in. "Don't worry, I won't bite. Unless you're into that sort of thing."

"Just keep your hands where I can see them." Aiden shot back, not backing down as Jacob's muzzle got closer to his own. "I don't want to go crazy now."

"No, let's take things nice and slow." Jacob agreed. "We're just two close friends, trying things out and seeing where they go. No need to rush into anything drastic." He slowly crept in closer, till his lips were just an inch from Aiden's. They could feel each other's hot breath as the reality, and a bit of excitement, dawned on both of the. "After all, " Jacob murmured, "it's just a kiss."

Unable to hold back any longer, Jacob finally leaned in. AIden felt those hot lips press against his own, the desire passing through him and causing him to moan slightly. His lips, the lips of a man, felt surprisingly different from a woman's. They weren't quite as soft, yet still firm and pleasant, and the fox was soon into it, leaning into the kiss as their lips locked.

Jacob was already lost in the kiss, placing his hands on Aiden's shoulders as he tasted the fox once again. His tongue flicked out sporadically, testing his friend's lip, asking for entrance, as his body kept leaning in. Instinct was taking over, and it wasn't long before he had Aiden on his back, his hands wrapped around the fox's shoulders as his tongue tried to enter that hot mouth more forcibly.

Aiden didn't resist for any of it. In fact, he found himself enjoying it more than he expected. The whole things generally didn't feel much different than with a woman. His hands pressed against the coon's back, holding him close as he allowed the tongue entrance. Those organs dances in their mouths, tasting each other as the occasional moan or gasp escaped their tightly sealed lips.

This continued for a short time, before Jacob finally felt satisfied. He bit on to Aiden's lower lip and gave it a quick tug before sitting up, smiling down at his friend with a confident, and somewhat dominant grin. "So, what d'you think?"

"I think I might be just a bit gay." Aiden smirked back, giving a little chuckle as he licked his lips. "Of course, I don't know if that really makes me gay or whatever. Never thought I'd be questioning my sexual identity at twenty five."

"It's not all that complicated, really." Jacob shrugged, still sitting comfy in the fox's lap. "Marcus kind of had the right idea, for once. You still find women, and the female body, attractive right? The thought of a naked woman can make you horny?"

"Well, yeah." Aiden admitted, trying not to think about such a thing lest he prove it to the raccoon's ass. "But that should be obvious, given my dating record."

"Right, well what about a male body?" On a thought, Jacob lifted off his shirt, tossing it aside then posing a bit. "Do you find this male body attractive, like you would a womans?"

The display caught Aiden off his guard, and his eyes roved over Jacob's torso, taking the sight in. It wasn't like he had never seen Jacob topless before, but this seemed different, as if you were looking in a whole new perspective. His hands rose from Jacob's hip to brush up his sides then over his chest, feeling the soft fur and firm muscle beneath. His breath shuddered at the feel, really taking it in, letting his mind imagine what the rest of his friend might look like without clothes. It was an image he could get used to, that was for sure.

"Looks like you're aroused to me." Jacob smirked, placing his hands over Aiden's and pinning them to his own chest. "You're probably at least bisexual then, if you care for labels." Jacob's heart was pounding from the touch, though he tried to play it cool. He hadn't expected Aiden to feel him up like that, and now that touch had been made, he found himself wanting more. But he had to be patient. The time would come when they would both be ready for more, but not yet.

"I guess you're right." Aiden smiled softly, looking into his friend's gray eyes. He was feeling it too, that rush for more, but there was still some confusion, the awe of a new personal discovery, that was distracting him, helping him to hold back. That didn't mean he wanted to just stop though. "Maybe we should run some more tests, just to be sure."

"I like your thinking." Jacob wasted no time in removing Aiden's shirt, revealing that trim, lean torso in all it's glory. He was on the fox in an instant, kissing at his neck and chest, doing his best to try and excite him further, to see where the boundary lay. "Oh, how I've wanted to do this." He muttered before lightly biting into Aiden's neck, eliciting a moan from the man. "The things I could show you."

"One thing at a time, please." Aiden gasped, his hands around Jacob's shoulders. If he hadn't been so distracted, he would have realised how similar this all was to being with a woman; how little difference there really was when it came to intimacy. But his mind was more focused on Jacob's tongue and teeth, gasping with pleasure at each bite.

"I'll try, but it's hard to resist." Jacob admitted just before biting at Aiden's nipple. That made the fox gasp, clinging to Jacob as pain and pleasure mixed. "I never thought it would be this much fun to tease you though."

He suckled on that nip for a bit more, enjoying the sounds Aiden made as his tongue worked it's magic. But eventually his mind wandered to other things, and he went back to trailing kisses along Aiden's torso, slowly making his way down to the waist. There he paused with bated breath, staring at the bulge that had formed in the man's pants. "Proof positive; you're enjoying this." Unable to hold back, he pressed a kiss against the bulge, desperately wanting what was hidden inside.

"I don't know if I'm ready for that." Aiden managed to say, watching a bit nervously. "I thought we were going to take things slow?"

"Yeah, but, just a little?" Jacob pleaded, so close to the man's crotch he could practically smell his musk. "Just a little oral at least?"

"Well..."

Despite his wants and his desires, Jacob saw the hesitation in Aiden's eyes. That uncertain look that always came right before caving in to pressure. "Well... I guess..."

"No." Jacob suddenly sat up, telling himself more than Aiden. "No, you're right. We said we'd take it slow, and go at a pace that's comfortable for both of us. If you don't think you're ready, then you're not ready." He looked Aiden square in the eyes, staying resolute. "I can wait until you feel up to it. It's better that way, for both of us."

"Jacob..." Aiden was admittedly touched. It had been some time since someone had shown such care for his own feelings, and it made him feel closer to Jacob than he expected. With a finger he beckoned the raccoon over, taking him in an a warm embrace and letting him snuggle into his chest. "Thank you Jacob. It's good to know I can really trust you to care."

"Hey, that's what friends are for." Jacob smirked, just as happy to be in Aiden's arms as to be in his pants. And for once, the thought of being Aiden's friend didn't seem so painful, as the idea seemed to be taking on a whole new, and exciting meaning.
