“ARE YOU AN IDIOT!!!!"
'Maybe I should have gone home to take a nap before coming in?' James sighed as he watched the woman in front of him rise up from behind her desk, green eyes blazing in fury.
“No, I'm not."
“I can't tell with some of the dumb shit you pull!!" Jessica was nearly foaming at the mouth, her anger just that intense.
“Should a police captain be acting this way? I mean, really...this is kinda pitiful."
“Considering your actions as of late, you're lucky I'm not throwing the book at you!" the Growlithe by the younger woman's desk growled, standing as though it were preparing to attack the blue haired man; however, a sharp look from the Lucario hushed the canine. The Growlithe quickly settled itself back onto its haunches when the Aura pokemon's hair extensions rose up.
“The book, huh? Not a medal for my outstanding service?" tired crimson eyes blinked as the officer Jenny clone curled her manicured nails into the oak desk in front of her, the wood furling into thin strips.
“Medal? For what? Going undercover for several months without contacting anyone here in the department?!" the woman began to tick off, her face slowly glowing red. “Or maybe for not taking my advice and staying out of this Team Fusion mess?!" James opened his mouth to counter, but a bark from both woman and puppy pokemon silenced him. “Oh, and let's not forget how you dragged two of the department's own into obvious danger on this cockamamie investigation of yours," James rubbed his forehead at that. “by the way, the chief wanted me to tell you that if you ever drag his granddaughter into a dangerous situation like that again, that'll he have kicked off the force."
That made the blue haired man chuckle.
“I doubt he worded it nicely, but I'll keep that in mind." knowing the chief, the older man probably said something along the lines of having his balls chewed off by his gruff Houndoom partner if he ever took Mimi from her lab again.
“Is this funny to you, cause I don't see a joke!" Jessica was so red now that she looked like a cherry.
“It's not funny at all," James shrugged. “but at this point if all you're going to do is yell, I might as well get a good laugh out of the deal."
“DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA HOW MUCH TROUBLE YOU'RE IN!!!" outside the door, several heads knocked into each other as the onlisterns jumped.
“I do, but I can't really care at this point in time."
“Oh? And why not?" Jessica sat back into her seat, her fingers tapping together as she listened intently.
“You really want to know, Jess?" the smile that touched James's handsome face was enough to make the woman's anger simmer down just a touch. “I'm tired." that caught the woman off guard. “I'm tired of you - who are supposed to be my supportive girlfriend, I should remind you - and your fickle ways. I'm tired of this department, which acts like it doesn't care about justice in any remote way imaginable. I'm tired of having to deal with the people in power ignoring the truth that's right underneath their noses because it's more convenient for them. I'm tired of pokemon being hurt because of human selfishness. I'm tired of it all, Jessica."
James bowed his head, a wave of sorrow shooting from off of him as the dam of his emotions burst free.
His shrink had warned him that when everything he had been dealing with finally sunk home that he would break down, but as the tears came unbidden to his eyes, James didn't think as he let everything out,
“I spent eight months in a hellhole trying to find evidence so that we could bring justice to corruption of the Black Market, and what's my reward for that?" James sobbed as he clenched his teeth. “I get yelled at. Haha, by someone who should be just infuriated at what's going on, if not more so." the Lucario came over to stand behind his trainer, reaching out to press against his back gently with a black paw.
James didn't even feel it.
“And do you know what's worse? While all the time I was thinking 'its Team Fusion who are responsible for what's happening to the people and pokemon who are being hospitalized', there was actually someone else behind those tragedies. Someone who went unnoticed, by me, of all people, despite all my investigating; months of investigating to try and find the truth within the underground, and I never caught so much as a whiff of what they were doing. And just a few hours ago, someone managed to kill most, if not all of those who had been given false fusion stones just to cover their tracks." James had gone to the hospital before coming to the Torren Police Station and what Mimi had told him shook the man to the bone.
Apparently, an unknown stranger had come into the healing center right before a sudden power outage overtook the hospital. After that, well...it hadn't been pretty.
“And now people - children - are dead. And all because I didn't see the obvious before it was too late." Jessica looked almost scared as she watched the man begin to shake with laughter. “Ten miles from my house, there was an underground facility where stones were being made which changed humans and pokemon into monsters, and I, a veteran detective, didn't have a clue."
The Lucario hugged his partner tight.
“James, that wasn't your fault," Jessica began carefully.
“WASN'T IT!!!" crimson eyes shot up, piercing the blue haired woman like a Venonat along the edge of a knife. “My job is to protect and serve: who the hell am I serving or protecting when I can't even save anyone in my own town?!" James shouted.
The silence that echoed throughout the room was loud enough to deafen.
“I think," James began once the rage in his heart quieted, “I'm going to go now and reassess my life's decisions because I'm obviously too incompetent to be a defender of the law." the last part was said more to himself than to the woman staring at him, wide eyed.
“Where are you headed?"
“For a drink." the Lucario stiffened at that. “I do believe I deserve one after the hell of a year I've had so far."
“James, you can't…" Jessica started, but stopped dead when the older man stuck her with an almost hellish look blazing within his red eyes.
“I...don't think you want to tell me what I can or cannot do right now, Jess." the bite of steel in his voice made the temperature in the room drop.
Without another word, James took his pokeball from the strap along his belt, clicked it, and then summoned his partner back into its darkened void.
“Sorry Christopher, but no drinking for you." the fighting-steel type barely had time to let out a cry of shock before he was phased into red light.
If the police captain hadn't been scared before, she was now bone cold terrified.
James never treated Chris in such a way; the blue haired man valued his partner maybe even more so than he did his job or the intimate relationship he and she had forged together. So in seeing him turn and then walk out of her office without another word, the police captain was at a loss over what she could say to rectify this situation.
Passing through the throng of officers that tried to console him, James barely heard than more than a few garbled words of consolation as he made his way to the elevators. In his despair, he never noticed Matt, his dark skinned partner, walk up to stand by his side. The brown eyed officer said nothing as the doors to the elevator opened. Hitting the ground floor, both men remained silent all the way through the ride down to the lower lobby. Passing by the half asleep female guard, the pair made their way outside, past the parking lot where Matt's car was waiting for them, without stopping.
“Do you know where you're going?"
“Nope."
“Do you care where you might end up?"
“Not really."
“Then let me take the lead."
That was how the two found themselves walking through the heart of down Torren, a strange quietude wrapped around them like a thick blanket despite the sudden splash of thunder rolling overhead.
How long they traveled James had no idea of, his mind caught so deeply within inner turmoil playing within the background of his thoughts - the visions of various faces, all filled with different meanings and purposes - dancing around inside of his skull until the blue haired man felt as though he were going to have a headache.
It was only when the scent of sweat and something else...thicker and muskier caught along the edge of his senses that James realized that a uniformed arm was in front of him. Turning to look, he saw Matt pointing towards an open wooden door,
“The Protein Shot, favorite hangout for pillow biters and tail raises," James blinked as he looked into the darkened interior of the place.
“Oh." it was the most articulate thing he could think to say as he was forcibly coaxed into the establishment.
“And why are we here?" the crimson eyed human tried to think of any good reason why they would be at a...gay bar, but he kept drawing a blank.
“To get you laid."
The words made James snap his head around hard enough to make his neck pop.
“I'm pretty sure that you and the captain are not going to be getting back together after your little spat," James gave the other man a look but Matt simply pressed on. “so I decided to steer you here to my favorite watering hole on this side of town."
“I'm not…" gay was the first thing on his lips, not that he had anything against homosexuals, but what came out strangely enough was , “interested in shacking up with someone tonight." all he wanted was to make the pain of his yearlong failures go away under the influence of a stiff drink, and then maybe apologize to Jessica for being such a prick tomorrow.
“Fuck that," Matt grunted as he brought the two of them into the center of the mahogany colored room. “you need something much stiffer than a drink tonight, James." the made the blue haired man blush. “And trust me when I say that this is the place to find it." the taller man leaned down and then whispered into his ear, “Being as cute as you are, you're bound to find something here to take your mind off the shit floating around inside here." two dark fingers tapped at the front of his cranium.
“Thanks, jerk, but you know that me and Jessica and I are…"
“Dude, you've been gone eight months on a solo undercover job," leaning in closer, Matt finished with, “do you really think she's been THAT loyal to you?" with a pat along the shoulder, the dark skinned man wandered off.
'Figures,' even though he and his captain had been having sexual relations with each other for what should have been three years now, it was naive to think that an 'Officer Jenny' wouldn't be getting hit on by other men...and women. After all, they were some of the most beautiful, smart, and intelligent professionals out there. 'And I've been sleeping like a bum inside of a cardboard box with my Lucario.'
James didn't say anything for a long while, his mind slowly turning over just how stupid he had been to give his life over to his job.
Though, in all honesty, he still felt a deep sense of dedication towards being who he was and doing what he had done, however, 'I'm going to take some 'me' time tonight.'
The off duty detective looked over to see Matt sitting in a medium sized both, the older man hugging up close to a larger tanned skinned male. The two laughed over a polite joke, hands gently rubbed over each other underneath the table in a very familiar way. When bright hazel and brown eyes locked onto each other, James found himself feeling slightly envious,
And then a Charmeleon wearing a thong and a bow tie walked by.
Instantly his mental train crashed and then exploded in a fiery ball of white hot 'what the fuck?!'.
James gaped as he watched the red lizard carry the tray stacked with two milkshakes over to Matt's table. Once at his location, the burlier of the two humans nodded, grabbed one of the drinks, and then handed the fire type a single rainbow colored bill. The blue haired man found himself in slight awe as the well trained pokemon took and then slipped the money into the side of its neon green underwear, the size of which was dangerously small along his hips; the silk material was strained so tightly around the pokemon's meaty waist that James wondered how the reptile could stand walking around in it. As the Charmeleon bobbed its head in thanks, the fire type turned and walked pass him, its long flame lit tail brushing across his crotch hard enough to make the man jump.
'I...did I...did he...,' James tried to form some kind of a rational thought as to what just happened as the leftover pieces of his mental train exploded again, this time in a fiery supernova of denial.
A sly look from the playful fire lizard was the only evidence that the shorter, yet oddly muscular creature, knew what it had done.
Shaking his head, he thought, 'Calm down James, it was probably just an accident.'
Turning to watch as the pokemon swayed his plush rump back and forth while going to the bar, James was not prepared to see the red reptile's long tail lift up, revealing a thin strip of neon green fabric snuggled tightly in between its crack.
His eyes went wide as he noticed something shining along the sides of the fire type's split,
'No! NO! That's only sweat! That is NOT what you think it is,' this became a verbal mantra running throughout the blue haired man's head as the viscous substance dribbled down the length of pokemon's muscular cheeks.
And then reptile curled the end his tail around so that the ever glowing flame at the
tip could highlight the sight of his wet cleft.
Sweat began to run down James's face as he found himself growing hard downstairs.
Quickly looking around in an attempt to try and compose himself, the off duty detective decided to survey the rest of the area.
The club itself was very atypical with its mahogany walls, darkly lit ceiling, and slightly smoky atmosphere. A long pine counter stood tall opposite the door with fifty year old, refurbished stools seated in front of it. Behind the bar were numerous shelves lined with a variety of aged spirits while several refrigerators filled with countless local and imported beers hid themselves on side of the shelves. Over to the far left, a large blue and black karaoke machine huddled itself into the far corner of the room; the sounds of classic jazz drifting across the air as the machine blared softly. James found himself nodding at the bar's taste in music, even though he preferred soft rock, personally. Several billiard tables were surrounded with males of different shapes and sizes knocking pool balls into pockets sat at the far back of the place; thankfully, those were the only things being knocked around instead of...
That sudden shift in thought made James bite his lower lip as memories of the Black Market underneath Helios City assaulted his senses like spiked whips.
'I know I shouldn't expect everywhere to be like that place, but...' the phantom visions of bodies writhing around together were still imprinted deeply onto James's psyche, his counseling sessions with his shrink having yet to purge them.
Letting himself drift further back into the time when he had been at the place in question, the blue haired man found the sticky, wet scent of the club burning hot within nose; ears filled with the phantom moans of sexual pleasure being both given and taken, James wondered if there was something in the air of the bar that suddenly made him recall all of his. It didn't help that when he turned his crimson gaze back towards the bar the Charmeleon from before was now stretching its muscular form in an obvious show of seduction; the highlights of the lizard's well cut muscles caused James to whimper slightly.
Shaking his head, he moved over to the bar, several feet away from the smirking fire type, before plopping himself down onto an empty stool. Slamming his head onto the counter in defeat, James thought, 'The next time I see my shrink, she and I need have a two hour session instead of the usual thirty minutes.' to say that the therapy was helping was...something of a stretch, but he could admit that it did at least help prioritize the happenings of the past eight months. 'Maybe I should give that hypnotherapy thing a try?' James didn't know how to feel about letting someone play around inside of his head, he was already sure that his several months of drinking himself into a stupor had created more than a few demons upstairs.
His sanity was already in question for having gone undercover for so long, so who knew what having a psychic pokemon running around inside of his mind would do to him if…
The presence of a figure moving in front of him made James flip his head up, “Can I get you a drink?" Dark amber eyes shone brightly behind thin, wire frame glasses as they looked down from the face of an elderly gentlemen who had to have been in his sixties, at least.
“Tonic water would be nice." a nod from the gray haired man followed with a glass filled with bubbling water appearing on the counter like magic. “Impressive."
“We aim to please here."
James nodded as he reached down to grab his drink. Lifting himself up so as to sip at the bubbly liquid, the blue haired man replied with, “If you keep treating me this way I will definitely be pleased." The older bartender merely smiled.
“How much do I owe you?" reaching into his pocket, he pulled out his wallet.
A white gloved hand stopped him.
“The first one if one the house."
“Thanks.
“Famous words for anyone running a business, wouldn't you say, James?" the detective turned his head around at the sound of such a familiar voice.
Green hair was the first highlight that caught his notice, followed by electric blue eyes, and a cheeky face plastered with a Persian-like smile. Watching as the figured pulled up a stool next to him, James barely noticed the bartender nodding before backing away to give him and the pair a moment's peace.
“What are you doing here?"
“Shouldn't that be my question, Mr. Police Officer?" the smirk that crested along the younger man's face was enough to make James snort.
“I'm here to get wasted." picking up his half finished drink, he turned to try and ignored the other.
“Really?" a slim hand raised up, the sleeve of the black t-shirt the other was wearing falling backwards, before the unnamed person dropped his chin into his palm, “That's a big change from the other night. Did something happen?" the concern James heard was honest.
And for that he was subconsciously thankful.
Letting a crimson eye roll over the guy, who had to have been in late twenties, James surveyed the cargo pants wearing pokemon trainer for several seconds before turning his head sharply,
"It's none of your business."
“Ouch, that hurt." the mirth in the other's voice was as clear as a ringing bell. “Come on, tell me. Even if I can't help, I'll at least be a good shoulder to cry on." a wave to the bartender found a cool beer being served to the green haired trainer.
“Thanks, but I already have a shrink."
“Things that bad for you?"
“You don't know the half of it." James eyed his now empty glass in disdain.
“Only because you won't tell me," a look to the bartender found the glass being filled again, but this time with a milky white substance that bubbled slightly.
James merely raised an eye.
“Calm down. It's just one of the bar's famous protein drinks mixed with a little rum." the green haired man teased as he patted the other on the shoulder.
A strong pull from the milky drink was chased by a slight cough.
“Strong stuff!"
“Featherweight."
“Hey, I do not do this that often!"
“I can tell." when well manicured fingers danced in the air a copy of James's drink was placed in front of the green haired human. “Let me show you how it's done." Tipping the glass up, the unnamed man threw his head back and then downed the milky thick brew in one gulp.
“Show off." James followed suit, if just to spite the other guy.
“Can't help it that I'm good at what I do." a lick along the younger man's lips found James rolling his eyes.
“Oh please,"
“Ohhh, someone is really touchy today."
“I'm trying to politely tell you to fuck off, can't you take a hint?!"
“Do you need me to change your tampon for you, sweetness? I think you're bleeding downstairs."
“FUCK YOU!!" James roared as he stood up from his stool to glare down at the shorter man.
“You wish." another look to the elderly gentleman found the same drink being poured for both men. “But I think we both know that you'd be the bitch between us."
“You know something, you're a real shit!!" James growled.
“Oh? Now tell me how you really feel about me." The green haired man turned to regard the blue haired man with the same disdain one would give a crawling Caterpie.
“Son of a bitch!" the detective was snarling now, his teeth bared as though he were an angry Arcanine.
The other man simply blinked at him, totally unfazed.
After a full minute, James sighed and then dropped himself back to his seat.
There was silence between the two for several minutes after that, both men focusing on their respective drinks, and then,
“It's all your fault!" James blurted out suddenly.
“My fault? What did I do?"
“You're working with them," James suddenly grabbed the guy by the collar of his shirt, yanking him from his seat. “aren't you?"
“Uhhh…"
“Don't try to lie. You were down in that place the other night because you're working with them!" that his voice was rising was not missed by anyone.
“With who?" blue eyes blinked in honest confusion up at the older man.
“With THEM! I know you're working with them!" that James shook the other trainer seemed to amuse the green haired man to no end. “That's why you're following me!"
A light chuckle bubbled onto the other's lips before slowly growing into a full on laugh. James quickly found himself hating how much he liked hearing that laughter.
“I have NO idea what you're talking about," shaking his head at the bartender when the other tried to come over, the green haired trainer continued with, “but if you're asking about what I was doing 'in that place', well," pulling something from behind his back, the off duty detective found himself staring into the face of,
“Agent Peter Yuzuki Grey, age twenty-eight, Division 5 of the...Pokemon Protection Agency?" if his brain wasn't so cloudy James would have found it funny that a man with a last name like grey had green tinted hair. “You're work for the government?"
A nod answered his question.
Agent Peter dropped like a rock when he was suddenly released.
For a long moment James said nothing as he stared accusingly at the shorter man.
And then, with a loud sigh, he slumped into his seat.
“Oh Arceus, what's wrong with me?" James reached up to rub his forehead as he continued to speak. “Have I really been on this Team Fusion case so long that I'm now jumping at shadows like some kinda of scared Pichu?"
“Team...Fusion?" Peter asked, his eyes blinking owlishly as he stared at the defeated man next to him.
“It's a long story," James reached for his glass.
"Tell me," A red eye turned to regard the other curiously. “if nothing else, you'll at least get it off your chest, right?" Peter's friendly smile brought a soft hum from James's lip.
Silence took hold over the space between them for several minutes, two more protein mixed drinks being downed in that time as James tried to rebuild his composure.
“You ever been working a case so long that you being to think that you know what the perp will do before they do it?" asked James.
“Yeah. I've been so deep on some missions that I've been afraid that I'll get pulled in and killed because I let myself go too far."
“Exactly!" James cheered. “You do your job, the job that you spent your whole life training for, and you get to the point where you can't tell where the assignment ends and 'you' begin."
“Like falling down a dark tunnel." Peter whispered. “You fall, and at first, you think, 'ok, I can handle this. Just get myself upright and then reach out for something to hang onto'."
“But then you realize, there's nothing to hold onto. That you've crossed the event horizon and that it's only down from that point on." James rubbed at his face as he tapped his glass for a refill. “I think I crossed that line a long while back and just now am being pulled back up to reality."
“How so?"
“I…" James looked around, sensing that he and his companion were being watched, and then pulled closer to Peter. “I was working on a case - spent eight months undercover - only to realize that I missed out on some MAJOR facts. So much so that my captain tried to pull me in order to 'save' me." Lifting himself back, the blue haired man shook his head. “But it was way too late for that. I was hooked. And...I let the people I was supposed to protect get hurt because of it."
“You can't blame yourself. If you do, you'll go crazy." Peter hid a tear behind a strong pull of his own drink.
“I'm already crazy!" James yelled. “I was looking so hard for a monster that there were ones right underneath me and I just blindly ignored it!"
“Huh?"
“I went undercover to find evidence for a case I had been working, only to find out that someone was sitting in an air conditioned office manufacturing paperwork to hide what was going on in this city!" James began to tear up as the weight of his failures overcame him. “I'm let those people in the hospital die because I didn't see the facts sitting right in front of my nose!" slamming a fist onto the counter, James said, “I should have seen the signs, they were right there in front of me! But I didn't. And now...so many people and pokemon are dead." James snarled as a sudden burst of rage ignited within him. “And to make it worse, corrupt public officials sat back and watched all of this happen as though they were playing a game of chess!" several heads turned to stare in wonder at the obviously inebriated man but Yuzuki simply waved them off.
“Sounds like you've got it rough," Peter reached around to stroke along James's shoulder; the quiver he felt running along the other's body made him frown.
“I don't care about having it rough! I care about the system not working and me being a part of it!!" James slammed his now empty glass onto the counter hard enough to make the glass splinter. “I'm supposed to protect the ones who can't defend themselves! That's what I've always believed as the separates the 'good guys' from the 'bad ones', and here I find that everyone else has been pissing on that truth for their own self gain!!"
Peter turned his head away at that, “Well, take it from me, it doesn't get any better the higher up you go." James swung his head around, “The more power they have, the easier it is for people to lose sight of their goals and ideals. You try and tell yourself, 'Hey, I can change this! I can make the see fault with their plans!' But that's just Rhydon shit and everyone knows it."
Turning their glasses towards the bartender, both men growled as they watched the older man look at them with pitying stares. When their cups were filled again, both James and Peter took a swig, noting with some mild amusement that it wasn't rum that painted their tongues, but a fruity tasting beer.
They finished it anyway.
“And that's the problem!" James snarled. “People don't have any loyalty! They do whatever they feel like and then blame someone else when things turn to crap!" More beer in the glass. More beer down his throat. “I hate it! I. HATE. It."
“Humans aren't a very nice species." Peter admitted with a dark chuckle.
“I know. I sometimes wish I could have been born a pokemon - like fifty percent of people in this world, probably, - but I wasn't. That's why I have to make my species better. If I don't, the world's going to become more and more malicious until it starts making pokemon inherently cruel."
The green haired man sat back at that, fear written clearly on his features.
“Do you really think pokemon could ever truly be that way?"
Pulling back from his third beer, James leaned close enough to Peter until his lips could almost brush the other man's ear before saying, “I've seen things,"
“Like what?"
“Pokemon kill and eat their own trainers."
“Really?" blue eyes shot wide at this news.
James's head bobbed like a rubber ball, “Back in the Black Market. When a trainer would abused a pokemon too much, they would turn and kill their owner. Then, some of them would eat their remains."
“How sad."
“That's why I have to be the champion of humanity - for the pokemon's sake, if nothing else."
More beer followed that declaration.
The two continued to talk after that, though the conversation shifted from work to how much women sucked when they felt the had an agenda to pursue. Especially women captains who sat in cool offices filling out paperwork instead of going and doing actual police work. Both men laughed at that. A second round of refills and James openly admitted that he had contemplated quitting his job to work as a private investigator.
A half shot of whiskey and Peter confessed that older sister were a pain the ass, and that he had a screaming fear of garden gnomes.
James laughed.
Two shots of protein powder mixed with tequila and James acknowledged the fact that he was jealous of how sexy his Lucario was and that was why he got the, at the time, illegal mutation done to his formerly hazel eyes. He always wanted Christopher to think of him as a brother instead of a trainer. But he'd never try anything with him. Because that was bad. And Lucario were the epitome of everything honorable and good.
And because Chris's knot looked too big.
Peter hugged him.
Two more glasses of beer and the green haired man said that his first time had been with his pet Eevee when he was still in middle school - the fox-like pokemon having snuck into his bed and then onto his head while he was asleep. It somehow ended up with its sheath on his nose. Peter snored. Things happened. His mouth was really salty the next morning. His sister had taken a picture of him to blackmail him. He was grounded for a month after burying her favorite plush Lapis doll collection in the backyard.
James laughed again.
James's first time had been with a friend from sixth grade who had been jacking off to two Houndour mating while they had been having a sleepover. The guy was a pokephile. James hadn't known what that meant, but he didn't care. Male on male Houndour were awesome. And then, they made a bet. James lost. But James gave good head. At least, his friend had said afterwards.
Peter told him to stick out his tongue. He did. And then the green haired man gave him a thumbs up.
More beer and then Peter admitted he liked to be in a gangbang with every male Eeveelution there was. Except Espeon. They creeped him out. But only because his sister had used hers to leave him tied up in a closet all night when their parents were out of town after he mooned her and her stupid friends during their prom night sleepover.
James patted his back.
The blue haired man admitted that his first pokemon had been taken by his dad after the older man and his mother split up. James hated him. But his mom let him catch his Riolu after they moved in with his grandmother.
James remembered that he should call her.
Another two beers, mostly wasted on their clothes, and James admitted that Peter had a pretty pair of lips.
The green haired man nuzzled underneath his chin.
And then two were exchanging breath.
Crimson eyes met blue, and then the cop in James decide to come out to play,
“I'm drunk." the admission was enough to make Peter pulled back with a laugh.
“Me too! Go figure," and then the lips were on him again. James opened his mouth to gasp when a hand reached out to stroke his cheek.
Tongues clashes playfully as the two men tasted one another.
'He tastes like berries,' they thought at the same time.
The blue haired man pulled away again after he realized his groin was getting hot, “I have a girlfriend,"
“But didn't you and she have a fight?" Peter let his hand trail lower until it rested on the blue haired man's own. James blinked as he noted how easily their fingers interwove themselves together.
“Kinda...sorta…" he sighed. “I was probably stupid for shouting at her like that,"
Was he still even mad anymore?
The alcohol made it hard to think.
And why was there a hand on his crotch?
“You weren't stupid," blue eyes gazed deeply into James's hazy red orbs. “you were upset. And I think you still are, aren't you?"
“I...yes?" his head was bobbing yes, but his mind was still holding a debate with itself.
“Then how about we do something to take away the anger?" Peter moved closer.
James let his mouth drop just a touch, his head shaking slightly.
"We're both smashed. We probably won't remember it anyway. Come on, what do you say? Let's end the day with a bang?" Peter asked gently. James tried to whimper out a response. “I'll let you top,"
James's crotch throbbed.
****
Somehow, he managed to get his key into the door of his apartment. That in itself was a feat for which James was grateful for, especially considering how deeply Peter was pushing his tongue down into his throat - the younger man seemed determined to possess every breath that came from his throat.
And James was ok with that.
Because Peter was a good person.
Nimble fingers struggled to wiggle the small metal to the right as his current lover reached down to grope his bulging crotch.
“Wh-whoa there, slow down." James ordered, crimson eyes somewhat foggy as he stared down at the younger man who growled up at him.
“Why?"
“I-I need to get the door open…"
“Open it then."
The blue haired man turned to undo the lock, the glaring heat from his younger lover's hungry stare made him sweat.
Once the door opened Peter tackled him.
James went down like a sack of bricks. Flipped around and then shoved down, red eyes blinked as a pair of soft lips were pressed into his own. Pushing the other man back to get some air, he panted hard, “Someone's horny."
“And you're not?" the hand that was pressed intently against his midsection dipped into the waistband of his jeans. James hissed when he felt oh so soft fingers caress the length of his rock hard dick.
“I am, but…were still in the doorway."
“So?" the fist stroking him made the older man's hips jump. “You're mine, and I really don't give a damn who knows, sees, or takes pictures."
James moaned into Peter's mouth as a familiar tongue delved deep back into his throat. When dexterous fingers moved down to unzip his pants, Peter was not pleased to feel his lover try and squirm away.
“H-hey...you might like the exhibition thing, but my landlady is a light sleeper." James gasped as he pulled back to stare nervously at the younger man.
“Not used to displeasing someone in power, are we?" Peter chuckled.
“It's called 'respect'."
“It's called submission," blue eyes twinkled as they peered down knowingly. “and I happen to like that in guys I have underneath me." Peter rocked his hips into James, earning a polite groan from the other. “I can wait to have you bent over and howling for me."
“I-I thought...I was...gonna be on...top!" James hissed when his neck was taken into a firm bite, human teeth pressing warningly against the pulse of his throat.
“You will, as you're riding me." Peter snickered.
“Jerk."
“You love it and you know it, bitch."
James snarled at that but another nip along his neck found him shuddering like a leaf in the wind.
Peter didn't bother to make another side comment at that, instead, he grabbed James by his shirt, hauled the other up off the floor, and then shoved his tongue back into the older man's mouth. Hands moved like lightning as the green haired man undid the detective's pants - the blue haired cop wasn't wearing underwear - slipping the cotton fabric down to the other's ankles at the same time James kicked himself out of his shoes. Once freed from the restrictive cloth, the crimson eyed human found himself grunting as deft fingers reached down to tug at his impressive seven inches.
“Geez, you talk tough, but you're really are eager for it, aren't you?" Peter asked with a broad grin spinning across his face.
“It's...been awhile,"
“I can tell." A tug along his balls had James hissing in need. “I don't get how someone like Jessica could let something like this go to such waste." When a stray finger rolled around to press in between his clenching anus, James nearly howled. “Or maybe you were playing keep away with her because what you needed was something hot and thick up underneath your own tail?"
“I-I've never…"
“I know. You were saving it for your Lucario." the blue haired man leaned forward to hide the pink tint he could feel covering his face. “Maybe you should let him out so that he can play? After all, you want him about as much as you want me, right?"
James was silent at that, and yet, his body quivered with unspoken desire.
“Can we just shut my door and get to the couch?" James asked as he put his hands on Peter's waist, pulling back to look at the younger man earnestly.
“Heh, wow, you really do need to be broken in before you admit to what you know you want, don'tcha?" Peter reached out to stroke alongside James's face.
“I...I…"
“I'll let out my partner if you let out yours." James whimpered, his eyes saying yet, but his mouth muttering...
“I can't...I just…can't..."
"Shut up." Peter barked. James snapped his mouth close. “You think too dang on much." Pressing a finger into his pucker, the green haired trainer purred as James yelped. “Just feel." Going deeper in, the lengthy digit spread the older man open to the point where James unconsciously pushed back. “Let him out. Let Chris decide for himself if he wants to breed you hard and deep like you're supposed to be." All the way up to the second knuckle, the blue haired man was left gasping for breath as his eyes fluttered closed. “I shouldn't have to tell you how much he adores you. How much he'd do ANYTHING for you." James groaned when the finger inside of him began to move back and forth steadily. “The way he looks at you when you think he's not aware...it's magical. So let him out. Let him decide what he does and does not want to do to you. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised by his reactions."
“Sh-shut the d-door...first." Peter couldn't help but chuckle at that.
“Fine," the finger in his ass slowly slipped itself free. “But you better be naked on the couch with a pokeball in your hand when I get there. Otherwise, I'll have to punish you for disobeying me." whether he was serious or not, James didn't know, but the blue haired man made a beeline for the couch.
Peter laughed as he watched the other do as commanded.
James had just managed to seat himself on the sofa, fishing for Chris's pokeball from off his belt strap as he did so, when he suddenly got hit by the feeling that he was in danger. Looking up, red eyes had just enough time to watch Peter put his hand around the doorknob and push it close before it was suddenly thrown back towards him. The green haired man let out a cry of surprise as he was suddenly squashed underneath the wood with a heavy thud.
Crouching low to the ground to avoid the door handle which sailed over his head, James blinked thrice as something very big and very heavy stomped into the room without warning.
“Oh you gotta be kidding me…"
Snarling with a muzzle filled with elongated fangs stood a monster bearing the mishmash shaped both a human and Pyroar. The creature, naked as its feral counterparts, paid no never mind as it stepped onto the door, gaining a moan of discomfort from the probably unconscious human underneath it in the process. Moving towards the half naked human with all the grace of an ancient predator, the chimera bore a look of hate so deeply within its brilliant ruby eyes that the blue haired human felt a primeval shudder tear through him.
This creature was not here by mistake.
It was here to kill.
