April stood stock still as the red beam scanned up and down her body. The woman tried to appear not too impatient as the machine did its work. After a few seconds the beam flicked off, something beeped, and then the metal doors in front of her groaned as they ponderously opened.
"Welcome, April Izcoa," an artificial voice spoke stiltedly as she stepped through the opening. "This is visit number three."
April nodded, not really listening. Her attention was instead focused on what resided in the room: a single large screen on the left wall, a bigger mirror on the right, and a simple metal circle in front of the wall she faced and a strange looking metal spike hanging above it. She approached the circle, coming to a halt when the artificial voice spoke.
"You may remain clothed, April," the voice beeped. "However, CausDek is not responsible for torn, ripped, melted, incinerated, shrunken, enlarged, tattered, stained, or otherwise ruined clothing."
April smiled and began to undress. It was her third time being in here and she'd forgotten the same procedure all three times. In a matter of moments she now stood naked, her clothes piled against the closed metal doors. Now nude, she stepped onto the metal circle. She looked up at the spike.
"April," the voice said. "What will it be today?"
"Hmm," she mumbled. She looked towards the screen, which now displayed a detailed display of her body as well as some options.
"Let's go random this time. No." She shook her head. "Not completely random. Something..." She scratched her back absentmindedly. "Aquatic. Weather's nice today."
"Yes it is," the machine agreed. "Very well. Confirm random aquatic."
"Confirm."

April shivered as unseen energy shot from the spike above to her. Immediately, numb but very real sensations racked her body as she began to change. The first alteration was to her skin. It became slimy and slick and scaled as her hair dissolved and her already lean muscles lessened in mass. The hair on her skull receded while her scaled skin shifted hues so that her body pattern consisted of alternating rings of light blue and black scales. She reached with one hand to her now bald head just in time for her face to push forward into a serpentine snout, nose being replaced by two slits on either side of her muzzle and teeth sharpening into small fangs. Her ears faded into the sides of her head while she experimentally flicked her tongue out. Something else pushed out at the same time from the base of her spine. She looked back over her broadening shoulders as a tail slithered its way out above her rear, growing to a full six feet in a matter of moments. While she wiggled the new appendage, her hips contracted and her breasts began to recede. She turned her attention to her chest in time to see her girls fade away, leaving her chest totally flat. In addition, her nipples and belly button had disappeared as well. She blinked, her eyes shifting to reptilian slits and then shuddered at a strange sensation in her crotch. She looked down at her sex and saw it was different than before. The scaled lips were more indrawn and her clitoris was gone, making the whole configuration seem more like a genital slit than anything. She prodded the scaled slit a little bit and felt something stir inside. He withdrew his hand, not wanting to completely awaken what was in there just yet, if at all.
April looked away from her crotch and to the mirror on the wall. His reflection showed a lithe male sea snake anthro, still slender and thin but taller and less muscular than before. It was this last observation that April latched on the most. He didn't mind being male, the addition of his tail, but to be physically weakened was intrinsically unappealing. Whatever form he decided on, he wanted it to be one that could keep up with the rigors she put it through. This one was nice and sleek and no doubt quick in the water; however, some endurance would be helpful in a multitude of activities, some more carnal than others. With this in mind, April turned around towards the screen.
"Computer," he said, his voice coming out in a rasp that wasn't that much lower pitched than his previous pitch. "Randomize."
"Unhappy, April?" the artificial voice asked. "As a reminder, the maximum amount of times you can be exposed to Beta radiation this day is four or eighteen in a one hundred and twenty hour period of time. Still confirm randomize?"
"Confirm."

As April shuddered while another blast of energy flowed through him, he considered whether going random really was the best course of action when he really only had a limited amount of chances. Once he recalled how the last two times had ended, however, he smiled toothily. No matter what, he'd figure out some way to make his chosen form fun.
April looked down as his body once again altered. His scales joined together, softening into rubbery skin that was more slick than slimy. His hide lost its hue momentarily, rendering him pure white until the majority of his form darkened to black save for white spots just above his eyes and a large patch from his chin to his groin. His body as a whole began to put on more mass and muscle than the last, though not much more. More noticeable was the increased weight on his chest as his boobs returned in triumphant fashion, bubbling out into bouncing ivory breasts that swelled to a size far larger than his usual normal sized breasts. His nipples too returned, puffy and thick and black in contrast to what they were attached to. April shifted uneasily as he felt the manhood he had only possessed for a few minutes shrivel away in his genital slit, feminine lips puffing plumply out as she returned to feminine form. Her hands and feet had greater changes this time as her fingers and toes merged so that she ended up with three thick digits on her hands and two on her feet. For a moment she couldn't breath and then she was breathing differently as a blowhole formed in her cranium. Her hips widened farther than before and her waist pinched in as a large dorsal fin pushed out from the middle of her back. Her tail and head reshaped at the same time, tail thickening and end growing out to a fluke while her head grew bulkier and melonlike. His eyes' reptilian slits rounded into blue tinged pupils as her tongue grew thicker and shorter. Just as April thought the changes were complete, her breasts swelled out to one size larger. She reached up and hefted them with her three fingered hands, turning to the mirror with them still in her hold.
She had turned out to be quite a busty orca. She was more muscular than the sea snake, larger for sure, but the most noticeable aspect of her was her big breasts. Although being so well endowed did have a sort of thrill to it, to be so top heavy seemed out of place in comparison to the rest of her streamlined form. Although she was sure she could attract plenty of attention as she currently was, that really wasn't her goal. Even with a proper bra, she wasn't sure how fast she could swim or run with these puppies. Still...
"Computer," she said, her voice barely higher than it had been as the sea snake. "Save this form for later. I like it, but...randomize."
"Saved," the computer replied. "Confirm randomize?"
"Randomize."

April let out a deep size as the Beta radiation washed over her. Immediately some of the weight on her chest was relieved as her breasts shrank in her hands, diminishing until they were a much more manageable size though she was a little sorry to see them shrink down smaller than even normal. She had to remove her hands when claws grew from her fingers, dropping her arms to her side as her fingers regained five-fingered function and her toes regained two of their missing number. Her skin once again sectioned off into scales, though these were thicker and tougher than the sea snake's own had been. The hue of her scales deepened to a uniform dark green while thick muscle grew under it, finally granting the bulk and power she desired to her body. Unfortunately, the fat she had lost earlier on her breasts migrated down to her stomach. She stared down in dismay as she developed a belly of sorts, one that didn't do much to obscure her toned abs but made her softer than she preferred. Her rear too developed a little more padding. She looked back to look just in time to see her dorsal fin disappear in her back while her tail's fluke folded into a thick point and the rest of the tail broadened out accordingly. Her vision was suddenly obscured as her melonlike head flattened, snout extending into a pointed, V-like shape. Her spaced out teeth poked out from elongated jaws and more grew in to fill missing places. She squinted her eyes at her snout, finally determining the shape meant crocodile while her optics reverted to green slitted eyes. Finally, her form received just a bit more toning and then this form's changes for complete.
For the third time April looked to the mirror. She was a crocodile alright, muscular and strong. She flexed her arms a bit, admiring their muscle until her eyes again caught sight of her belly. She placed both her hands around it, noting how it protruded a bit more than she had originally thought. Even though she was happy with the rest of her form, that little bit was just too much of a deviation for her to be totally happy. Of course, she could just ask for the computer to remove that small portion of fat, but that would be cheating. What was the fun in random if she totally negated certain aspects of it. No, if she wanted to make a change it would have to be all or nothing.
"Computer," she said. "Randomize."
"Confirm randomize?"
"Confirm."

April grimaced this time in pain as the spike's beam struck her. The effects of this change were actually painful unlike those before. She winced as she felt her scales split apart, forming into smaller shapes even rougher and tougher than what she previously possessed. Rubbed one way they would be smooth and slick, but rubbing her hide the other way would break the skin of those touching it. Her shagren's dark green coloration drained of nearly all its hue until only a dull gray remained. April let out a sigh of relief when her stomach faded in well-muscled flatness. She tilted her head once she noticed her small breasts shrinking and ceasing to exist, leaving her with strong pecs and nothing else. She shuddered when her shoulders broadened as her waist filled out while her extended muzzle began to withdraw into a small, pointed snout. She screwed her eyes shut as they became totally black and pupiless. Many, many teeth grew painfully within her snout, row upon row for chewing and devouring even the toughest of meat. The claws on her fingers retracted while the fingers themselves thickened. She curled her finger into a meaty fist and then bent over in pain as a grey dorsal fin pushed itself out of her back. Simultaneously her tail reformed with twin fins at the ends and one pointing up in the middle of its length. April gritted her multitude of teeth as once again changes occurred at her crotch. She looked down in time to see her clitoris pulse and thicken, growing out and out until it was obvious he was to be well endowed.
"Wow," April said, his voice deep and husky. He watched as his manhood finished growing into impressive size and girth before retreating into his freshly reformed genital slit, where it would be out of the way until it was truly needed. Finally, his rear toned and firmed as his legs grew just a bit longer.
April turned to the mirror. What stared back at him was a handsome and muscular male shark anthro. He put his hands on his hips and puffed out his chest. He had to admit he looked good, properly powerful, streamlined, and...
April's black eyes fell to his crotch. He wouldn't mind using all of this body's gifts to its fullest given the chance. Was this truly perfection? Of course not! April was sure he could find something he disliked about if he put a little more thought to it, but right now he only had once more chance and this was the one he was happiest with at the moment. So...
"Computer," April said. "I'm done. Thank you."
"Thank you, April," the computer replied. "CausDek appreciates our valuable customers."
April nodded. He picked up his discarded clothes and stood before the metal doors. As they opened, April couldn't help but smile as he walked passed them into his home. Installing the CausDek device had been the best investment he'd made in his home since he bought it. He couldn't wait to see what else he could be in the weeks to come...but he'd better enjoy this form first. He'd just have to find some proper clothing and then he could go running, swimming, or even go engage in some more carnal activities that deepened his already toothy smile.
In a few minutes April left wearing just a swimsuit, ready for whatever the rest of the day brought.
