Chapter Four - The Altercations
#5 of Life's Changes
Holy Gawd that one was rough... A little longer and harder to write than the first few, definitely a lot of emotion and conflict. Took a while to try and figure out where to go with it. Thanks goes to Destiny for helping out a bit. Sorry for the mucked up ending, might try and edit it later on. Anyway here's chapter four, thanks for reading and hope you enjoy it!
-DISCONTINUED-
Due to a really shitty turn of events I have to cut this story off...
The school day seemed to drag on for centuries, minutes seeming to take hours as I watched the clock tick away on the wall. I was filled with too many emotions to sit still. Being Friday, we only had a half day of school, and being the night of the school dance. I was excited and nervous. Scared and overjoyed. I didn't think it was possible to feel so many emotions at once. My mind eased as I thought of Nate, thinking of all the fun we'd have with our friends tonight. The flow of happy thoughts stopped abruptly as fear began to fill my conscience and how my parents would react to finding out I was dating another boy. I bit my lip and ruffled through the fur on my tail as I imagined how horrid that conversation would go over with them. The world seemed to catch on to my ever rising fear and time began to quicken. I was brought back to reality as the bell let out its ear spitting shriek. I shook my head and laid my ears back as the tone echoed throughout the halls. I sat and watched as the other kids quickly stood and made their way out of the classroom. Letting out a large shaky sigh, I finally stood and slowly drudged my way to my locker. The thoughts of the terrifying conversation playing over and over in my head, getting worse each time it repeated. I must had been surprisingly deep in thought. I hadn't even noticed Aaron walking beside me until he grabbed my arm. My ears flew up and eyes opened wide, shooting in his direction. "Sorry man, didn't mean to scare ya. Just looked like you had stared death in the eye or something." I gave a small whimper and my voice seemed to match my fear as it came out a soft crackle, "I- I'm just worried about..." My voice trailed off and he gave me a concerned look. "About telling your parents?" I gave a small nod as fear filled my eyes. By this point Zach had joined us in walking while Aaron filled him in on what was bothering me. They both gave me a tight hug and assured me everything will be alright. "And hell if it does really go that bad your always welcome at my place." Zach's tone was uplifting and relieving. "You know we got your back bro." Aaron said giving my shoulder a good squeeze. My stance straightened and I felt a bit more confident knowing I had good friends on my side.
We were the last ones of the group to make it to the cars we always met at. All the circling fear in my head seemed to wash away as I saw Nate look our way and smile at me. Everyone greeting us as we finally made it over. "Took you long enough." Logan said in a sarcastic tone, smirking slightly. "Yeah, what took so long? We've been standing here forever." Brittany said trying to sound annoyed, and failing I might add. Chuckling I just waved them off, "got held up is all." Shrugging in disbelief they let it slide and we began talking about when we'd all being meeting at the dance. After a little arguing we all finally decided on 9 o'clock. We all said our goodbyes as the girls, Faith, Brittany, Kayla, and Brook, all headed off to Brittany's house to start getting ready. Logan, Aaron, Zach, Daron, and I all stayed by the cars and continued to talk a little longer. We had been trying to find a place to go after the dance and "afterparty," Zach's house was the first choice since his house was the biggest; But his parents had quickly shot the idea down. Thankfully Aaron had thought ahead and asked his father if we could all commandeer the finished basement at his house. His parents were divorced so it was just him and his dad in a rather larger house. The basement having a good sized living room and three or four spare rooms there would be plenty of room for all of us. We all continued to talk about the details as Daron's mom rolled up in her car and Daron waved as he jogged over and hoped in. Once he was gone Logan turned to me and questioned me. "So what is this plan you guys having going on?" Zach's expression matching the question. Aaron and I shared a smirk to one another before we filled them in. Brittany had started talking to Destiny and found out she thought Daron was pretty cute, so Britt convinced her to go to the dance stag with her. Once there we'd accidentally push the two together. We all shared a small laugh as we began to head our separate ways.
Nate and I hoped in my car and started toward my house. The fear and anxiety quickly returning. Nate reached over and held my paw and gave me a warm, reassuring smile. I squeezed his paw and returned the smile as my nerves calmed a bit. My ears and tail twitching as we pulled into the driveway. I took a deep staggered breath, "you need a couple minutes babe?" Nate's concerned look had returned. I shook my head, "no. I just wanna get this over with as fast as we can." He nodded and we both exited the car, slowly making our way up the house. I felt weighed down as we walked inside and walked to the other end of the house toward the garage. I took another long breath and a shiver shot down my spine all the way to my tail. As we entered my mom gave us a cheerful hello. "Hey sweetie. Hello Nate." Her expression quickly changed to concern as she noticed me shifting nervously on my hind paws. "What's wrong son?" Her tone one of that of a worried mother. Todd looked over to us as his face showed a concerned puzzled look. My voice shook and cracked as I finally spoke, "mom, Todd. I have something to tell you." They both look to one another and shifted in their seats giving Nate and I their full attention. I looked to Nate and he gave me a slight smile. I turned back to my parents and let out a whimper like sigh. "Nate isn't just a good friend." Their ears perked up as my head hung low and my voice grew into a whisper. I took Nate's paw as I spoke, "he's m- my boyfriend."
My heart nearly stopped as the room grew unnaturally quiet. I slammed my eyes shut as it felt like time grinded to a halt. I squeezed Nate's paw harder as I finally felt a paw on my shoulder. I looked up to see my mother giving me a small shy smile. She pulled me into a hug and brushed the fur on my head, "honey, you know we love no matter what. We're on your side no matter what. If you want to date boys, we'll be supporting you all the way." I wrapped my arms around her as all the weight and pressure quickly faded away. Tears welled in my eyes and a soft sob escaped my muzzle. She gave me a tight squeeze before letting me go and Todd wrapped my into a big hug. "You know you can always tell us anything and we'll fight at your side no matter the odds." His voice was soft and warming. We broke from the hug and I wiped the tears from my eyes. "We love you no matter what, as long as you're happy, we're happy for you." My mothers voice a gentle loving tone. I gave her another hug, "thank you so so much. That means more than you'll ever know. I love you both so much." I said hugging her tighter. She just chuckled, "we love you too, and glad you found someone that makes you happy." She let me go and Nate quickly came over and we embraced each others tight hug. We nuzzled into each other, as we broke, both my parents gave Nate a hug. "Same goes for you Nate, we love you and glad you came into our sons life." My mother said smiling as she hugged the both of us again. "So is this who you're taking to the dance then?" I nodded as I placed my arm around Nate and pulled him close, "yup, he's the one." We stared into each others eyes, our tails wagging frantically. "Well you boys better get ready then." Todd said flashing a glance at the clock. We nodded as we headed inside. Stopping to let them know Nate's parents would be here after while for pictures.
Nate had run out to my car to grab his bag as I collected my clothes and things from the bathroom. I told him he could use the upstairs shower while I used the downstairs. He came back inside and we ran into each other in the hallway, sharing a kiss before retreating to our separate showers. Shutting the door behind me I set my clothes down on the counter while placing my soap and conditioner in the shower, turning the water on to get it warmed up. I slid out of my clothes and slowly got in the tub, letting the water coarse through my fur as a strong feeling of relief swept over my body. I lathered up my fur with soap as I began to scrub away the days filth. Conditioning it and letting it soak as I smiled to myself, excited for what the rest of the night would bring. I quickly finished my shower and hoped out. Grabbed my towel, drying myself down. I pulled my boxers on followed by my nicest pair of black slim fit jeans. Placing my paws on the counter I looked myself over in the mirror, smirking as my black and purple fur seemed to shine with the same excitement I felt inside. I pulled over a white Three Days Grace shirt for an under shirt before sliding my black dress shirt over my arms. Slowly bringing may paws out each end and buttoning it up. I began to brush my fur as the straightener warmed up. Trying to to get all the knots out, straightening it into its usual soft spiked look. Satisfied with my final look I exited the bathroom and walked up stairs. Hearing more voices from the garage, Nate's parents must've already showed up I thought to myself as I headed for the upstairs bathroom. Knocking softly on the door "you about done love?" His tone was more excited as I heard him reply, "yup, just about ready." I smiled and spoke lovingly, "okay, I'll be out in the garage. I love you." I chuckled as I head him get all giddy and fidget before speaking again. "Okay babe, see ya out there. I love you too." Smiling brightly as I retreated to the garage. Both mine and Nate's parents complimenting my look as I took a seat, thanking them and joining in on the conversation.
A few minutes had past before I heard Nate's mom, Racheal, let out a gasp bringing her paws to her face and staring at the doorway. I turned to follow her gaze and my heart skipped a beat before seeming to melt as I saw my boyfriend enter the room. Time stood still as I observed his beauty. Fur shining bright, his marbled white and silver gleamed in the light. Eyes blissful as ever as their slivery tones seemed to glow with excitement. His black and dark purple skinny jeans matched perfectly with his black and purple dress shirt he had picked out yesterday. I didn't even realize I had gotten up and slowly walked over to meet him halfway in the room. We slowly approached and took each others paws as we met. His face blushing slightly as he smiled shyly. Before he could speak I pulled him into a deep kiss, an almost electric shock shot through me as our muzzles touched. Pulling him closer as I drew into the kiss more. Losing ourselves in each others warm embrace, only breaking apart and snapping back to reality as we caught multiple flashes out of the corner of our eyes. Both of us blushing brightly, I draped my arm over him, as we turned to face our parents. Both his and my mom holding up their phones and talking more pictures as we smiled and posed for more. All four of them complimentary how adorable and well we looked together. I'm pretty sure I even caught Racheal shed a tear or two. We talked for a few and took a few more pics here and there before letting them know we needed to get going soon. We gave them all hugs, said goodbye, and let them know we were staying at Aaron's house that night after the dance. They all agreed it was fine before taking a few last minute pics and seeing us off as we started to walk inside.
Making a quick pit stop at my room we both grabbed our over night bags before heading for the front door paw in paw. We exited the house, placed our bags in the trunk, and I opened the passenger door for him as he smiled and gave me another kiss before hoping in. I quickly hoped in the drivers seat and brought the car to life, turning on Hearts Burst Into Fire by Bullet for My Valentine. I held his paw under mine as I shifted gears making our way back to the high school. My phone went off while on our way. Zach had texted me. "Yo, where you guys at?!?" Typing back, "yeah, like two blocks away." "Okay, were in the hallway right before the gym." He answered back. I slid my phone back in my pocket and slowed down as we turned into the parking lot. Being a little late we had to circle the lot a few times to find a spot. Upon parking, I killed the engine and turned to Nate and signed happily, staring into his majestic eyes. "You ready for this?" He finally broke the silence. Giving him a quick kiss, "yup lets do this." We left the car and I wrapped my arm around his waist as we walked toward the door. Once we entered we got a rather curious stare from the teacher sitting at a table. We showed her our school ID's and she let us in. Getting even more stares from other furs as we walked down the hallway. Hearing bits and pieces of different conversations. "Is that..." "Are they dating..." "Can they do that?..." "That's disgusting..." Honestly I couldn't care less what they thought or said. I had Nate and that's all I cared about as I pulled him closer. Making sure everyone knew he was mine and I was his. We eventually spotted our group standing in a little circle and talking amongst themselves, waving us over as they saw us approaching.
"Oh my God you two look so adorable!" Kayla nearly shouted as Nate and I finally reached them. "Damn you clean up bro." Aaron said chuckling, giving me a hug. "What? I don't look good the rest of the time?" I said jokingly. He motioned his paw up and down my entire body. "Not this good." He said laughing. I gave him a good shove as we got lost in conversation. Complimenting everyone on how well they looked and thanking each other before starting to make our way to the gym. Upon reaching the the big double door entrance, I pulled Nate close and gave him a quick kiss before walking in. With the main lights dimmed, the DJ and sound system to the right was shrouded in a brilliance of colorful lights from the two light bars on either side. Giving the dance floor a beautiful array of twists and swirls of colors as furs danced away. They had a few tables set up with food and beverages to the left where others gathered to snack and chat amongst them selves. Aaron and Kayla quickly running to the dance floor to join in the fun. Logan and Daron quickly headed for the snack table, go figure. Zach and Brook stayed with Nate and I as we found some empty chairs off to the side to sit for a bit. Pulling my boyfriend into my lap as we sat down, both our tails wagging from excitement. I reached a paw out and brushed Brooks arm, "hey. You having fun?" She had seemed lost in thought as she looked around, snapping back at my touch, giving a shy smile. "Yeah, I am." She never really went out to big social events like these but she did look like she was having a good time so I just smiled and nodded as she went back to people watching. Nate doing the same as Zach and I went to talking about our cars. He was telling me about something he wanted to do to his engine. I knew enough about cars to get by with fixing small stuff here and there, but he really knew how to tear them apart and really work on them. I tried to follow along but he ended up losing me rather quickly.
Brittany had eventually found us and made her way to us. She had arrived with Destiny so we hadn't seen her until she found us. She told us the plan to get Daron and her to run into each other was still on. We had figured out a way to bring them together when the next slow song came on. I was going to drag Daron up to the dance floor during one of the more hyped up dance songs was playing while Britt would do the same with Destiny. Once the song drew to its end we'd push them into each other as the slow song would start. We still had a little time to kill before then though so we all sat at talked about little odd and end stuff. Mostly about what we'd be doing after the dance. I'd let them know that I had convinced my parents to let me take the half a bottle of vodka they had in the liquor cabinet. It wasn't much but it'd be enough for the eight or nine of us, depending on if Destiny came with us. Zach let me know he'd already picked up some mixers, mountain dew, monster, and a few red bulls. I nodded and we all agreed that'd probably be enough. Nudging Nate I cocked my head and asked him if he wanted to dance. His eyes lit up and his tail wagged faster than I'd ever seen before. He quickly yipped a yes with excitement as we got up and made our way to the dance floor. Zach and Brook headed for the snack table to catch up with Logan and Daron, while Brittany, Nate and I weaved our way through the dancing furs and found Aaron and Kayla. We joined them in dancing like idiots, not caring what we looked like, just having a good time enjoying ourselves.
After a few songs we were all panting and sweating a little we started back for the table we had originally sat at earlier. The others must have gone back out into the hallway as we didn't see them anywhere near by. We shrugged it off, we'd run into them eventually. We had just gotten into conversation as Destiny made her way to us. She must have some how caught wind of what we were up to, cause her tone was a little accusing as she pointed at me. "You. I need to talk to you." I gave a light fearful look at the others as I slowly got up. "Uh okay." I followed her as she led me toward the other end of the gym into the other hallway where there was quite a few less furs roaming about. "Okay, I know you guys are up to something, now what is it?" Her voice had a slightly annoyed tone to it now. I gave a slight shy look and rubbed the back of my head with my paw. "Well, guess the plans off now." I thought to myself as I spoke, "yeah we uh, were planning on making you and Daron um run into each other during a slow song a little later." By the look of surprise on her face, I guess she had thought we were planning something sinister. "Oh, well um..." Her voice trailed off as she blushed and bit her lip. "What are you guys waiting for then?" Her response shocked me a little. "You... Want us to push you two together?" My eye brow lifting as I asked the question. Her blush grew deeper as her voice was soft and shy like. "I mean, if you guys still want to... He is pretty c- cute..." Her voiced trailed off again and a small grin growing on my face. I grabbed her paw and gently pulled her back in. "Well come on then." "This will work better than before," I thought to myself.
We returned to the table where Nate, Zach, Aaron, Kayla, and Brittany still sat at. Before anyone could speak up and ask what was going on I quickly grabbed Zach and whispered in his ear. He looked back at me and raised an eye brow. "Now?" He asked, I nodded. "Yeah, now. Go go go." He got up and headed to find Daron, while the others tried to question what was going on. Hushing, and assuring them, I got them to stand and follow me to the dance floor. Going over to where Aaron and Kayla where still dancing. They continued to pester me about what I had planned out as I arranged them into a normal looking circle with Destiny mostly hidden behind Aaron. "I don't have time to fully explain, just trust me, and act natural. Talk dance, I don't know. Do what ever it is we do." They shared a confused look and tried to figure out what was going on as I ran up to the DJ and requested him to play a song next. After giving him a quick run down of what I was trying to do he agreed. I came back to the group right as Zach and Daron had walked up, sharing the same puzzled look as everyone else. "What a... What's going on dude?" Daron asked. I smiled and wrapped my arm around his neck and pulled him close. "Just figured you could use some cheering up man. I know you've been a little down lately so wanted to surprise you with something." I didn't give him a chance to speak, right as You & Me by Skrux started to play, I pulled Destiny out from behind Aaron. I pulled them together as they both blushed brightly. Destiny giving a shy, but bright smile.
Daron immediately shifted awkwardly on his hind paws as a shy smile grew on his face, still bushing brightly. Destiny finally broke the silence, "H- hi, I'm Destiny." Daron's voice was cracking as he spoke. "I'm uh... My name's um Daron." Glancing down and away before looking back at her. His tail and ears fidgeting and twitching. Destiny chuckled as she watched to poor wolf trying to calm his nerves. All the while he kept shifting his weight nervously. He seemed to calm bit as Destiny asked him if he wanted to dance, giving him a reassuring smile. He nodded as his tail went wild with excitement as she led him further onto the dance floor. He blushed even more when she placed her arms around his neck and placing his paws on her waist. They began to sway back and forth with the music and I swear I could still hear his staggered breathing, trying his best to ease his over eccentric nerves. He seemed to relax more as she smiled at him and whispered something in his ear. His face lit up and they began talking a little bit more normal. You could still see hints of embarrassment and shy awkward moments between them. Blushing and giggling as the stared into each others eye. Eventually they pull themselves in close into a hug and continued to sway gently back and forth. Both their eyes closed as their tails started to wag softly and a shy soothing smile across their faces.
We stood and watched as I pulled Nate close and we began to sway side to side, wrapped tightly in each others arms. Aaron and Kayla joined us in slow dancing only they had both their arms on each others shoulders and their foreheads leaning down touching one another's. I smiled as I turned my head back to my boyfriend and we both gently nuzzled into each others neck. A feeling of pure blissed washed over me as I couldn't think of anywhere else I'd rather be then right here, wrapped up with my cute fox, enjoying every minute as we danced. The song unfortunately came to a close and we slowly pulled away from each other, smiling brightly we shared a deep kiss. I looked see where Daron and Destiny had gone to, but I quickly found them still locked in each others grasp. Aaron and Kayla still slow dancing as the next song came on. Everyone else had seemed to disperse as well, some sitting, while others went back to the snack table. I nodded toward the double doors, silently asking if Nate wanted to hang out in the hallway for a minute. He smiled and nodded in return and we started to walk over my arm still holding onto his waist. We quietly slipped out once we reached the doors, there were a few other furs out there as well. Some out here talking to each other since it was quieter, others so deep in kissing they probably didn't even know where they were. Nate and I stopped over by the wall, his back to the wall, I gently pinned him to it and became lost in each others kiss. Our paws playing with one another's fur as our muzzled locked together.
A few minutes had gone by until I broke the kiss and stared into his brilliant eyes. A spark seemed to be popping between us as we practically melted in each others arm. Only to be interrupted as I heard someone behind us scoff, "fucking fags..." I turned my head with a dirty look across my face to see Eric, rather larger great dane leaning against the wall on the other side of the hallway. Standing just over six foot and looking like one of those furs who gets way too excited about going to the gym, he was definitely your typical jocky douche. His a disgusted looked flashed across his face has he caught me staring at him. "What? You got something to say?" His paws giving a tiny motion like he wanted me to come at him. I shook my head and turned back to my boyfriend. Giving a soft huff as I grew calmer, focusing in back on Nate. "Yeah, that's what I thought." I heard Eric chuckle as his buddies joined his chuckle and paw bumping him. Jake was taller hyena with a bit jackal, his slightly toned frame was covered by his shorter brown and back speckled fur. Andrew was beefier german shepard with light brown with grey and soft light black patches. All three of them continued to smirk and chuckle amongst themselves. I tried to block them out but their constant comment making towards us started to make it more and more difficult. "Why can't you take that shit somewhere else?" Jake called out. A light growl grew inside me as I went to turn my head again, Nate stopping me and holding my face with his paws. Mouthing 'please just let it go,' he didn't want a fight to break out. His soft and hopeful gaze put me at ease. "Hey! You hear me faggot? I'm talking to you!"
My blood began to boil as a louder growl escaped my throat and I heard him start to walk over. I felt him jab at my back as he spoke, "huh? You listening you little homo? Take your fag boyfriend and go somewhere else." I took my arms off Nate and turned around, trying to keep him safe behind my back with my arms outstretched a little to protect him. A small snarl growing on my muzzle, "why don't you fuck off and find a better place to take up space." His face grew more fierce and he bared his teeth slightly, "the fuck did you just say to me?" My toned grew annoyed, "you need me to spell it out for you?" He snarled and growled as he grabbed my shirt and picked me up, growling lowly at each other. "You gonna hold me here all day or what?" He growled louder and set me down, he turned away and I started to turn back to Nate as I felt the blow to the side of my head. Enough force behind it to knock me down and sliding a few feet. I quickly shook my head and tried to shake the dizziness away, looking up just in time to see his next punch aiming for Nate. I let out a loud menacing growl as I ran for him, tackling him before his paw could connect with Nate's face. Pinning him on his back I crouched on him snarling and snapping my teeth at him, "Don't you fucking touch him!!" Eric came to his rescue and delivered a solid kick to my side, sending me tumbling to the side as I slammed into the wall. I let out a loud yelp as I scrambled to get back to my feet. Other furs quickly started to gather as they heard the commotion. Eric had picked me up and pinned me to the wall, "you really wanna play this game?!" I bared my teeth as I spoke, "do you?!" I brought my knee up and made contact with his bottom jaw, his grip loosened and he dropped me with a light whimper. He started to get up as his voice was more growl than actual words, "oh you're in for it now you son of a bitch!!" Right as he brought his paw up Aaron came up from behind him and grabbed his arm. "You don't really want to do that." Aaron's voice was calm and collected, he never really was a violent fur. Only resorting to violence when the situation truly called for it. "Yeah, and what are you going to do to stop me?!" Eric's voice echoed with hostility. Aaron just huffed as he pulled him away from me and shoved him back to his buddies. "Nothing so long as you don't push me to mop the floor with all three of your sorry asses."
The teacher from earlier had finally caught wind that there was a fight breaking out in the other hallway and quickly rushed over. Miss J, she was medium height cat, slightly heavier set, but still retained and fit stature with dark orange and black striped fur. "What's going on here?" She demanded as she approached. "Nothing, just a small altercation is all." Aaron's voice still as calm as before. She obviously thought otherwise, seeing the small amounts of blood splattered across the floor, she quickly began scanning all of us. "I want to know who was fighting who this instant!" Jake pointed at me "that fag tackled me and kicked Eric in the face." I glared at him and low growl emitting from my muzzle. "Krys! Is this true?" I shook my head, "yeah, I tackled him, right after he punched me in the back of the head." She turned back to Jake. "That's bull shit I never punched him!" He barked. We began to argue back and forth, our voices and growls echoing through the hallways as our yelling got louder. Miss J finally shouted enough, and grabbed both our arms and started to haul us off. Dragging us up to the front door she pushed both of us out yelling. "We'll check the cameras on Monday and figure out who the assault charges will be put on! Until then, both of you out! Now!" Slamming the door behind her, I looked over and saw Jake still glaring at me panting slightly. I let out another growl before turning my attention to my phone as I felt it vibrate.
"Yeah hello." I answered. "Yo dude, did she really throw you guys out?" Logan's tone slightly shocked. "Yeah man, out and banned from the rest of the dance." I replied. "Damn that sucks." He sighed. "Tell me about it." Jake gave me a dirty snarl as he started to walk away and I bared me teeth flipping him off as he left. "Just as well, the dance is ending in an hour or so anyway." I heard Logan say on the other end of the phone, turning my attention back to him. "You guys gonna stay for the last bit or ya just wanna leave know?" I asked. I heard him murmur to someone else before answering me. "Yeah, we're gonna come out now. Just give us a few to find everyone." "Alight, I'll be at my car and is Nate okay? Is he safe?" I asked shakily. "Yeah, he's with Zach, they went off to find people." He replied. "Good, thanks man." I sighed. "No problem bro, we'll see ya in a few minutes." I acknowledged his response before hanging up the phone and walking to my car. I opened my trunk and took my dress shirt off, my white under shirt had absorbed most of the blood that was slowly dripping from my side where Eric kicked. I gently touched and tried to feel it, didn't feel like anything was broke, but was certainly tender. I winced from the pain a bit before throwing my shirts in the trunk and opening my door to start my car. I left the door open as I lend against the side and turned on Die Like Your Brothers by The Plot In You. Screaming the lyrics with the song, trying to get all the anger I still had built up. Usually that would help, but I was still so fired up from the fight and hostility earlier.
The song came to an end and the soft opening to Orion by Metallica started and that seemed to do the trick. My tension and adrenalin began to fade away and I let out a long sigh as I saw Nate, Zach and Aaron walking over. Nate ran up and gave me a tight hug making me wince and whimper as he squeezed my side. He quickly backed away and apologized. I just grabbed him and pulled him back into the hug. "It's alight, just not so tight." He nodded and nuzzled into my chest. I turned towards Aaron, slightly puzzled. "Where's everyone else?" "There on their way, the girls needed to make sure they had everything." I rolled my eyes and smirked a little, "of course they do." We all shared a small laugh. "Are you okay babe? That kick looked..." I placed my finger over Nate's mouth gently shushing him. "I'm okay love, just a little bruised up is all. Are you okay?" He nodded and I smiled at him, "that's good." He smiled back and rest his head against me. Aaron, Zach and I began talking about the fight and what had happened and what Aaron had seen. Conversing a bit before everyone else finally made it out and over to us. We all discussed if we were all still going to Aaron's house and we all quickly agreed. Nate, Daron, Destiny, Brook and I all crammed into my car while Zach, Aaron, Kayla, Logan, and Britt squeezed into Zach's car. I followed him as we began the drive to Aaron's. I held Nate's paw as we drove, excited to sit and relax. Kayla had offered to look at my head and side once we got there, I wasn't to worried about it but she insisted, so I agreed. All I wanted was to get there and go back to having a good time, cuddle my boyfriend, hang out and talk with everyone else. That drink was also sounding a lot better at this point too...
