HATSSSSS Chapter Thirty-seven
Imported from SF2 with no description.
And thus, their new little routine was added to their repertoire over the coming months. A mix of movies, games, and the occasional too long music session had wormed its way into Leo’s life. Sometimes they rubbed up too closely to his own hobbies. And sometimes they didn’t. Sometimes they were perfectly fine.
October had slid into existence faster than Leo had expected, and without any major hiccups either. For the most part. Missy’s insistence on nightly touches had become more erratic and shaken out of the usual schedule. Nothing he couldn’t handle, of course, but nothing he particularly wanted to handle, as he told himself.
Aside from Halloween itself, Leo’s worries of a Thanksgiving feast popped up far more than he cared for. At some point he’d have to take Missy aside and explain deep ground rules. Despite his current position being rooted on the couch watching a large turtle punching a bug, his mind was wholly focused on the plan for leaving for at least a day. Assuming he could drive quickly enough. Assuming he could pry himself loose from his parents that quickly. That wasn’t fair to them.
“Yeah, see, the turtle is cool and all but he literally could not take on the big lizard,” Missy said.
“They’re not the same guy?” Leo asked.
“Don’t even joke like that. I’m gonna make you get glasses next.” She looked to him. “I think they’d fit.”
“I’m just going to take that as a compliment.”
“It was, silly. What, you think I was saying like, ‘oh yeah he would look even more boring’?”
“That wouldn’t be far off from what I would guess, yes.”
“You might even look sexy in ‘em, ya know, like some kind of office clothes model.”
“That I will not take as a compliment.”
Their movie continued and came to a familiar climactic end with explosions. They were pretty explosions to be sure. Leo checked his phone. Right on cue, time for bed. He had gotten pretty good at nudging Missy into fitting with his schedule. As the credits began to roll, Leo began standing up.
“Alright, I’m going to head off to bed now.”
“Hey, hold on just a sec.” Missy’s hand darted out and grabbed his. “I was thinking we could, y’know, do it here? Just real quick.” Her expression wavered from uncertainty to curiosity. That was a push too far.
Leo pinched the bridge of his nose and rubbed his eyes. “I bet you would, huh?”
“Well, yeah.”
“I bet you’d also like me to just tear off all your clothes and do you right here, huh?” Leo asked and leaned forward. Missy turned her head and pulled back a smidge. “Just right here and now, without stop.” Leo pulled back. “No. This isn’t the place for it.”
“OK, dude, sheesh.” Missy rubbed an arm. “Later though, right?”
As if he had a say in the matter. “Later,” he said. Leo walked off to his bedroom. His hopes that Missy would eventually tire of him never came. If anything, his acceptance of her strange condition only made her all the more brazen. Talking about it right after a movie. Leo shook his head. Couldn’t even keep her thoughts in her pants for a minute longer.
He undressed and settled into bed, half focused on whether or not Missy would come in, and half focused on what to do for the encroaching Thanksgiving season. Missy had proven she could stay on her own, what was a few days? But then his parents might question why she didn’t come along.
“Hey,” Missy said. Oh, right.
Leo sat up. “Hey,” he replied. Missy sat down on the bed next to him, entirely in the nude. It was just normal now that this was so close. “You mind if we talk about something?”
Missy shook her head. “What is it?” she asked softly.
“Just wanted to know how you felt about me leaving for a bit in November.”
Leo had gotten used to watching her in low light and could see her expression drop. “Seriously? You’re thinking about that right now?”
“It’s important. Plus you wouldn’t let me pause the movie, or the ridiculous game to ask you.”
“Well, dude, not right now, OK? We have more important things.” She paused. “I mean uh, not important, but you know.”
“Yeah, I’ll pretend I didn’t hear that. Alright, whatever, let’s just get this over with.” He motioned her over with a hand.
“Just a sec. Sorry, I didn’t mean it like that, you know?”
“I get it. I forgive you. Now let’s do this before I really get annoyed.”
“But!” The woman scooted closer, bringing her with her that strange simmering sensation. “I could make it up to you, you know?”
Leo’s eyes narrowed. “If you’re implying what I think you are, it’s a no.”
“I know that’s not what you’re thinkin’. Your boner isn’t the smallest thing.” Missy looked away and the back. “I mean, uh, you know, it’s hard to hide it.”
“You really do not have a way with words.”
“You get it though! We’re on the same wavelength here!” Missy placed a hand on the bed on the increasingly small space between them. “It’s only fair, right?”
“What’s fair is you getting out of my hair once we’re done here, and then I can get to bed.”
“I know you’ve thought about it.” Missy let out a low hitching grumble.
“Dirty thoughts about the monster next door sounds like a comedy bit.” That was what he said. Of course he had imagined it one or two, or three, or four times. That’s just how the human brain worked. He was a man like anyone else, goaded on by lust and a creeping sense of curiosity. “Now are we doing this or what?”
Missy stared at him. Her hand inched a bit closer.
“That really won’t work on me, alright?” he lied. Rather, just saying it didn’t might bring that into reality. The way her body was able to draw out some tension in him was something he still didn’t quite understand. Sometimes it was there during their sessions, sometimes it wasn’t. That wasn’t to say she wasn’t generally arousing now, in her nude form, but sometimes it felt all the worse.
Missy didn’t move for a few seconds, then, seemingly giving up, she scooted over to him. Leo set his hands to his sides, silently agreeing to allow her onto his lap. The woman took up her human throne and waited. Leo slid his hands into place and began his work.
“You could not believe how many hours I was thinking about this,” Missy said. She sighed and melted into him, going slack. Her chattier nature during their sessions was one of the other things that began to nag at him. He prodded up against her button, causing her maw to snap shut and start muffling moans.
Somewhere in-between her grunts and groans, Missy pushed her butt up against Leo’s groin, wiggling it a small amount. He winced, feeling a droplet of pleasure ripple through him. He’d give it no attention. That was just a twitch of her body. She had those before. Not as direct, admittedly.
“Other hand,” Missy mumbled. “Do something.” Leo followed her order. His free hand slid up from her thighs to her stomach, and drew up on a breast. She wiggled again, grinding up an all-too-aroused erection. Another zap of delight. A sigh slipped from Leo’s lungs. Missy then slowly gyrated her hips, drawing more out of him. That wasn’t an accident.
“You’d better stop now,” Leo said.
“Huh?” Missy said in-between moans.
“You know what you’re doing.” His motions slowed, teasing a threat of stopping.
“I don’t!” She whined. “Move, move, move!” Her hips grinded against his hand.
“Missy.” It should have been touching, in a morbid way, for her to want to return the pleasure. Yet, Leo imagined she didn’t exactly have the most prim and pristine intentions behind. A misguided hope that she could turn him into some fuckbuddy for her to use, or maybe not. Maybe something better. Something resembling a relationship. Not a far off impossibility as it once seemed.
Missy’s fervent grinding slowed to a stop. “You know you want to,” she hissed.
“I don’t want anything except for this to be over with.”
The dark woman shifted back, nuzzling her nose into his ear. “It would drive me crazy if I could see your dick, you know? It would make this quicker.” Her warm breath caressing his ear coupled with her dripping words, pushing all the wrong buttons in his mind. Leo’s mind froze, then kicked itself back into gear.
“Sure would drive me insane, too. Mad, even,” Leo replied. He nudged her back into place with his shoulder. “Now let’s finish this and go to bed. And no, not together.” His body, however, was already imagining it. Arousal already pumped blood to the familiar places, rousing an erection before long.
“I can feel it, you know. I always could.”
“Alright.” He slipped a digit into her folds, hoping that would shut her up. Missy twitched and groaned.
“It’s only getting bigger,” she said. Didn’t work. Of course it didn’t work. Missy shifted again, rubbing her pert rear against him.
“So? What would make you happy? I admit it. You got me. Now are we finished yet?” Leo’s hand wrapped up around her breast in another vain attempt to smother her in pleasure.
“You aren’t finished. Like, how many times have you thought about whipping it out, huh? Thought about jerking it after?”
“You are really pushing your luck. Quit it or we’re done, and you’ll have to make do with your sticks for fingers,” Leo said.
Those words caused Missy to stop, but only for a brief moment.
“Sorry,” Missy said with a giggle. “You just get me all gooey sometimes.” She pushed back into him. “It would make me happy to make you happy, you know? You know that, right?”
Leo sighed. He was partially disappointed he could be aroused by her in the first place, and partially that he allowed her to get to him like that. What a terrible and nice gesture.
“Like, like, like, uh, you know, you do my needs, I do yours.” She really had to say this now, naturally. “But uh, I only clean, and talk, and be here, but you do all this for me. Clothes, TVs, games, movies. It’s a thank you!” Her voice was cheery yet trembling, as if she was deciding on bursting in joy or fleeing. “The best thank you.” Her voice hitched as he pushed against her button again. She really wanted to say this.
“You don’t need to do that, alright?” Leo replied. It was like dealing with the drunk friend, except the drunk friend wanted to suck your dick. Well, not like he hadn’t a few bad girls from a crowd admit that to him. Missy’s drug was just an unfortunate side of her biology, as far as he could guess. In a way, he could say that about himself too.
Leo wanted to add that ‘only people in a relationship did that.’ A romantic one. Yet, did he even really believe that himself? It was just an excuse, wasn’t it? He hadn’t forgotten all of the past. The woman shifted her hips back as he switched to a fervent rubbing, damping his boxers with a hint of her lust. Damn him and his stupid body. Damn her stupid libido. It was all in his mind, he knew, but the warmth pooling at his loins became unbearable.
“You’re just saying all that stuff, aren’t you?” Leo said. “This is just one of your stupid moments?”
“It’s not stupid,” Missy replied. She leaned back, resting her head against his shoulder. “It’s true.” She gasped and squeezed her legs. “Fuck. It’s true.” A stupid moment for sure, regardless of whether or not it was specifically for the reasons he believed.
Leo kept his mouth shut and pushed deeper into her, slipping another finger into her folds. Her hand came up to the side of his face, caressing it. He tried to ignore the calming sensation. For a brief moment it felt good to hold her. Missy was thin but still a body to be next to, to hold onto. Even if he wouldn’t admit it, he missed the closeness another presence would bring.
Funny to think her drunken rambling would bring the most out of him at that moment. He was slipping, or so he would’ve said at one point. Giving her an inch every time she asked. Leo sighed, inadvertently causing Missy to shudder. A sigh of complacency or relaxation, he wasn’t sure.
Suddenly, Missy crossed her legs and forced Leo’s hand in place. Her hand pushed his head against hers as she finished. A growling interspersed between whining gasps signaled she was completely done.
“Thanks,” she said. Her hand lingered for a moment longer, then dropped to her lap.
Leo had hoped that would bring him back to reality. The simmer was gone, for sure, but the feeling of closeness remained. Well, they could stay like that a little longer. Missy certainly seemed like she had no intention of letting go of him. A firm reminder of where they were at in their situation. Relationship?
“I do have to clean eventually,” Leo’s sense of duty said.
“Just a little longer,” Missy heaved.
Just a little longer, then.
_
Usually, a new day with no work would bring Leo some discomfort. The workday helped to reset some of the strangeness that arose after treating Missy. Now, it only brought curiosity. He stopped to look out at the forest around him and closed the mailbox. There was a curious feeling of it being crowded, but it must’ve been his body reeling from Missy’s touch. He headed back inside.
“Hey, get back over here already, you’re missing it!” Missy said from the couch.
“I paused the thing. It’ll be fine.” He shuffled through his mail. Bill, trash, trash, trash, bill. He sat down. “A lot of return to sender.” Leo plopped the whole mess of it onto the space next to him, knowing that if he got up again, Missy would yell.
“I wanna see!” Missy immediately said, reaching over and settling onto his lap.
“Hey, easy,” he said with a huff.
“Relax, dude. I just wanna read the mail.” And he was the only available seat, apparently. “Wow, you don’t want coupons for Wendy’s? What’s wrong with you? My buddies used to have a pile of these.”
“Unless you’re planning to walk there and back, I don’t think we’re going.”
“Hey, man, don’t give me a challenge.” She tossed an envelop back onto the couch. “Community message? What’s a community message?”
“Trash. It’s trash.”
“OK, well, if it’s trash, I can just open it up and look at it, right?” Missy asked.
“It’s illegal to open up someone else’s mail.”
“I’m sure it’s also illegal to own a wolficus without a license.”
“Couldn’t even begin to imagine the permit costs for something like that.”
Missy cleanly sliced into the mail and yanked out the message, leaning back and using Leo as a chair. She was humming as she read.
“Don’t you wanna get back to your movie?” Leo asked.
“Hey now, I wanna see what goes on in your hobbit village.” Her claw danced along the text. “I wasn’t even sure there were ten whole people within ten miles, but look, you’re a whole group! You’re not endangered after all.”
“They’re nice people but I don’t really have the time to get involved with whatever they want.”
“So you’re just gonna ignore them?”
“Yes. I’m going to ignore them. I stay out of their business, they stay out of mine.”
“Harsh!”
“It’s not like I never help them or anything.”
“Duh, you gotta show your tools off to someone.” She giggled, then snapped into a gasp. “There’s gonna be a Halloween party?!”
“Yeah, and?”
“It sounds like something you could do.”
“No, no, no. That’s a community center thing. People don’t host those.”
“Seems like that’s not happening this year,” she cooed and handed the paper to him.
Yep, right there in black plain text. ‘Due to recent renovations and at the behest of our elected community president, we are now seeking hosts to hold this year’s Halloween party. Please send pictures along with a written letter if interested!’
“A shame I’m not actually interested. So that’s not happening,” Leo said.
“You really don’t wanna bond with your neighbors?”
“Bond with my neighbors? Let me ask you a question, has anyone you’ve ever known want to bond with their neighbor?”
“Well uh, no, but you seem like a guy who would. Sorta.” She stifled a laugh. “OK, no, you wouldn’t. But you should! I know how you are. Everyone thinks you’re like an old mysterious guy who lives in the woods.”
“Everyone else here also lives in the woods.”
“Yeah, what is it with nice people in the woods? Are they hiding something?”
“Hiding away from people. Which is why they’re nice,” Leo replied.
“Nah, see, look, they have Halloween parties and community events.” She waved the paper about. “They wanna be with one another. You don’t.”
“So?” Leo shrugged. “Do they want me to be part of it? After all, I’m the mysterious guy in the woods. Hosting their party would put a crimp on the whole thing.”
“Soooooo what I’m saying is you can turn that around. Meet new people!”
“And have them walk around my house, messing everything up? I think I already have that position filled by someone else.” He poked Missy’s back, causing her to flinch.
“Oh, they’re nice people but they’ll mess up your place, huh?”
“Not intentionally, no, but you have to imagine what even 15 people might get up to in a house like this.” Leo nodded his head from side to side. “17-ish, maybe.”
“What are the two extra?”
“Family of the people who showed me the place when it was up for sale. They were pretty nice. One of them is the president in the letter, I bet.”
Missy perked up. “There it is again. Those nice people. Everyone is always nice here.”
“They’re hiding away from the annoying people.”
“Well that makes no sense. Annoying people are more fun than nice people,” Missy replied.
“So you finally admit it, huh?”
“You admit I’m fun, then?”
“Guess you got me there.” Leo rolled his eyes.
“But seriously, come on,” she patted his leg, “give this a shot.”
“You know, I can’t believe you’ve been in such miserable places that you think annoying people are fun.”
“And I can’t believe you’re a twenty something guy with all the money in the world and aren’t doing anything fun with it.”
“You know I’m spending that time with you, right?”
Missy paused and tilted her head. “No, that’s not gonna work. You deal with me, you’re not having fun with me.” She folded up the letter and bapped him on the head with it.
“That’s pretty rude,” he said. “So you want me to host a party for nice, boring people.” Leo started counting them on one hand to cement them in Missy’s mind. “People you don’t know. People who’ll mess up the house. For a few hours. No television. No videogames. Especially none of your music.”
“Yeah, that’s fine. The fun part is the people. New people.” There it was. She gasped. “Oh! And a costume! I’ll need a costume.” Her eyes ran across Leo. “You’ll need a costume.”
“OK, well, I’ll think about it.” Leo nudged Missy to get her off his lap.
She gasped again, causing Leo to pull back his hands. “Oh, that’s right, nobody can see me too.”
“Took you up until now to realize we can’t really host anything with you around? Not unless you want you and I to be chased out with torches and pitchforks.”
“Well, you would shoot them if that happened, right?” Missy asked.
“I’d rather it didn’t happen in the first place.”
“But uh, I can pretend to be a costume!” She shifted to the side and looked at him. “See? I’ve already got my costume!” The wolficus frowned. “No, that would be boring. We’ll have to add something.”
“You think someone would buy that? They’d just look at you and think ‘wow, cool costume’?”
“What, they’re gonna think I’m a literal walking monster out of their worst nightmares?” She bared her teeth. “I’d be honored, but they’re not gonna think that, dude.”
That was something of a fair point. Anyone’s instinct, especially an adult, wasn’t going to picture that Missy truly was a ravenous night beast, but the threat still lingered in his mind. “And what about you? You think you could handle all those people?” Leo asked.
“Do I look like I can’t?” She raised her brow.
“Well, think about it, when’s the last time you were in a group of people? It’s just you and me now. New people can be scary.”
“Pshh, you’re scary. I deal with you just fine.”
“I’m serious, Missy. I don’t want you freaking out when people start filing in. I don’t need that, you don’t need that.” A crying Missy was good for no one, least of all him.
“Well, thanks…” She picked up the letter again. “But I think I can handle it. I’m not such a nerd that I’d cry.”
“Yeah, well, we’ll see.”
“You mean it’s happening?!” She shifted into a cowgirl position, placing her hands on his shoulders. “We’re really having a party?”
“Easy, easy! I meant we’ll see as in ‘I’ll think long and hard about it.’ “
“And that there’ll be a hundred rules in place. Yeah, yeah, I know. But you better tell me yes or no soon! I’m gonna think about it the whole day! I won’t forget!”
“Say, you want some popcorn?” Leo asked.
“I’m not that easy, buck-o.” Missy carefully pulled off of Leo and stood up. She hastily stuffed the letter into her pocket.
“Hey it was worth a shot.” Likely she’d remember sooner or later, though, and there would be hell to pay.
“But yes, I’ll have popcorn.”
“Get it yourself.” Leo stood up alongside her and switched off the television. “I’ve got boring things to do.”
“And you better think during those boring things! I want a response by twelve hundred hours, soldier!” Missy scampered off to her room and shut the door. Lord only knew what was going to go on in there.
“It’s three P.M., Missy! That was three hours ago!” Leo shouted after her. Missy said something back, but it was too excited and muffled to make out. Now he just had to think of whether or not that was actually something he wanted to do or distract Missy with something else. Over the past months she had nothing but gifts and touchy feely moments. Granted, she paid for the gifts in her own way.
Leo moved on over to his little hobby exercise room. Guns needed cleaning, but admittedly he didn’t want to scare Missy out of approaching him, especially not now that she had an actual reason to bug him. He settled on some casual biking to do while he sat and thought about it.
Well, there was the chance that someone found out Missy was indeed Missy and not a weirdo in a very expressive costume. There was the fact that cleanup would take longer than she would like, so he would have to help. What could he get back from her instead? Nothing? A whole week without wearing her ALF shirt? Maybe she could make her own dinner for once. Well, he did like cooking so that would only disservice him.
Leo cycled faster. Could just ask her to be as polite as possible if they went through with it. To some degree, he did care about the opinions of his neighbors, and it was no doubt word spread that he had a girl hanging about. Would be nice if they didn’t think the guy next door, or a mile away rather, was harboring a runaway with issues. Hm, not far from the truth.
There would have to be food, and decoration, and appropriate music, and appropriate areas. If he moved a few things it wouldn’t be the worst, and the outside area could hold a few people too. Missy would definitely have to clean. Likely she would say yes, then renege on the deal. And a costume? What would they go as?
Not that Leo hated the idea of dressing up, but the last time he had worn a costume must have been at least a decade ago. He seemed to recall Missy did the same ‘I am my own costume’ shtick as well. Good to see she grew up in some way. Though that did make him intensely curious what she would consider good enough to dress up as. Hopefully not as ALF, ugh.
Even if he were to go through with it, there was no guarantee they’d pick him. Some of the folk around here had some impressive real estate that made his look like a shack by comparison. It was a good shack, though.
After much mulling, cycling, and wondering. Missy called out, “Hey! Leo! Get over here!” There was a pause. “Please!” That’s more like it. Leo got off his bike and moved out into the living room, where the wolficus was clicking away at a million things on her fancy little computer. Hopefully she felt proud of the thing. “Yeah, you! Get over here.” She waved him over.
“Hey, you, what’s wrong?” Leo asked. As he approached, he could see a million different tabs open. Fabrics, models, Egypt, Rome, ‘avaunt guard,’ black with red, military time. Research was in full swing. He sat down next to her.
“Whaddya think about something like this on me?” Missy asked, clicking over to an image of a near nude woman with a leotard that looked like it had gone through a shredder.
“On you? It’s barely on her. I’m not sure that qualifies as clothing,” Leo said. “You want to be that for Halloween?”
“Not for Halloween, duh.” She shook her head. “I was thinking something like this for my own around the home stuff.” Another click, bringing up an outfit that looked like a web of threads hanging loosely off a bikini. “Huh? Huh?”
“You want less clothes, then? Isn’t a shirt OK?” It did fit Missy, though. In a Missy way.
“Fine, we’ll look at Halloween stuff since you’re so wild about it.”
“Wild is one word,” Leo said.
“You think I can pull off that Roman look?” The image switched to a model wearing what they likely simply assumed was Roman garb.
“Didn’t you go on about how dresses hide the quintessential Missy?” His brain didn’t mind placing her in the dress, though, and she might pass as some sort of knowledgeable mystical woodland beast. Until she opened her mouth and called you a loser.
“They do, but I could make this outta your curtains or something.” She shrugged. “Easy stuff.”
“I could just buy a pack from the store. I think there’s one of those party stores in the stripmall.”
“Bro, I’m trying to have fun here. Make my own stuff. I bet everyone at the party is gonna be some kinda boring movie character or television thing. I’m gonna be the best whether they like it or not.”
“You do know that they’re going to think you are your costume, right? I think you’d already have them beat.”
“Aww, you think I’m that pretty, huh?” Missy giggled. “But I gotta be better than uh, me. If that’s possible. I know, I know, tall order.”
“What’s the other one you picked out then? Is that going to push you over the edge into stardom?”
“Cleopatra?” Missy switched images. Yep, that was someone posing as Cleopatra. “Did you know she didn’t even wear crap like that? You think she would, but I guess she was riding that Roman dick too hard.”
“I’m glad to have gotten that history lesson. I’ll keep that down in memory. So you like the garb at least?”
“I’m not sure I like the paint.”
“Not sure I want to paint your fur either. Even with the dog paints. I hear they attract fleas.” He looked to her arm and pinched a bit of her fur.
“I’m just gonna pretend I didn’t hear you thinking about using dog paint on a wolficus. That’s sacrilege.”
Leo looked back at the screen. Missy wouldn’t be a bad fit for Egyptian, in fact, she could really pull off the goddess look, with all of their strange animalistic deities. “You think you could pull off an Anubis?”
“Again! Not a dog!” She pinched back.
“Well, I mean, you could pull off that elegant look, don’t you think?” He nudged Missy over and googled ‘Egyptian art.’ “See?”
“Huh, I guess so. I’m not just a girl with a funny head, though, I’m all of me.”
“You get the idea.”
“So we gonna do this or what?”
“I don’t know, Missy.” Leo shook his head. “Even if I submitted, I might not get in, and the setting up and the scheduling. It’d be a nightmare.”
Missy sighed and slouched. “It’ll be fine, trust me.” She looked at him. “Trust me.”
“Trust you? When have you ever organized a party?”
“Shh! Trust me!” Missy placed a hand on his head and gently stroked him. Leo relaxed. “Just trust me, OK? Everything will be fine.” A little calmer. “A party would be really nice.” A little softer. “I think it’d make us both happy. Don’t you wanna go?”
Leo said something. He wasn’t sure what it was, and it was hard for him to pry himself from the gentle trip further into nowhere.
Missy became a blob in his vision.
“Just relax.”
