'When a hiker stumbles upon a hidden, magical valley, he encounters a unicorn who will change his life … quite literally.'

So, something a little different! I wrote a transformation story a while ago. About otters. It seemed to work pretty well. Unicorns, this time. Not sure why I settled on that, but I had always wanted to try another transformation tale and hadn't gotten around to it. As usual, steamy happenings ensue.

The rain came out of nowhere, a torrential downpour that cooled the air, filling it with a deafening roar.

Paddy cursed, stuffing his camera into his backpack and shrinking into his all-weather jacket. All-weather? Rainproof? Hah! He was already soaked through. His teeth began to chatter.

Paddy knew this place was a temperate rainforest. He'd been prepared for drizzle, maybe something light and steady. But this? This is a deluge! He'd checked the radar before he'd struck out, too. There'd been nothing to indicate a storm of this size.

No use complaining now. Just find some cover.

The male, just shy of his thirty-eighth birthday, had wandered off the main hiking path to take some pictures. But with the rain coming down so hard, he couldn't see well enough to find his way back. Disoriented, he raised a hand in front of his face.

Over there … the trees are thicker there, I think?

Securing his backpack over both shoulders, Paddy sloshed toward the cluster of trees. He almost tripped and slipped a few times along the way. Once there, he gave a heavy, exasperated sigh. At least it offered some protection. Better than nothing.

Looking upward at the roof-like canopy, he tried to make out what types of trees these were. They were thick. Lots of leaves and interlocking limbs.

_Never seen leaves shaped like that … _

Turning around slowly, Paddy squinted.

Whoa.

Was that … ?

It was.

He saw a light source! Someone else must've taken cover here, too. That had to be a flashlight.

“Hey!" he yelled, waving his arms. “Hey, you!"

No response.

Studying the light more closely, he saw it didn't waver in direction or intensity. Not even a bit.

“Hmm … "

Paddy decided to investigate.

Weaving and wiggling around the wet, sturdy trunks, he felt his pulse quickening. A flashlight doesn't put off that much power. As he got closer, he even felt warmth. _What can it be? _

“Is anybody there?" Paddy asked again.

Still no reply.

Pressing further ahead, he finally reached what seemed like a cave opening.

“I probably shouldn't go in there," Paddy said to himself. However, the photo opportunities might be once-in-a-lifetime! You'll win first prize in the state fair for sure. He shrugged off his pack, took out his camera, and put the pack back on his shoulders. Clutching the camera, he went into the cave.

Paddy always felt safer with his camera. It was like having a weapon or a shield. Psychologically, it emboldened him, removed him a few degrees from reality. I'm just going to see what's going on in here. Take some shots. Then I'll leave. Nothing to be anxious about!

The 'cave' wasn't all that long of a trek. Within half a minute, he was at the end, and the source of the light became evident.

“Holy heck," he mumbled, brown eyes widening. The other 'side' of the cave had an exit. It opened into the same place he'd been before. The same mountain terrain. Only, the rain was gone! Not even a hint of cloud cover. The sky was deeply blue and clear, full of light. That was the light source. The sun!

“But … what … " He looked behind him, back through the cave. Darkness on that side. He could even hear the sound of the rain, echoing faintly. Then, looking back to the sunny landscape, he mumbled, “Huh … night and day. Almost literally."

Before him was a valley with a winding river running through it, meeting a sparkling lake. And then the water left the lake from the other end, going around a mountain bend and out of sight. The plant growth was lush and green. And there was a lot of it. Wildflowers added additional, vibrant stretches of color.

“Okay. Okay … there has to be an explanation for this," Paddy told himself, lifting his camera and taking a quick succession of shots. Snap-snap-snap! I can figure it out later. Gotta document it first. He adjusted the zoom depth of his lens and took more pictures. Snap-snap-snap!

Soon, Paddy decided he needed another vantage point. He'd gotten plenty of shots from above. Maybe going lower in the valley, getting shots from below? Looking up? Yeah. That'd be cool. Get the peaks in there.

As he walked down into the depths of the valley, he devoured a granola bar from his backpack.

“Mm, so … there's gotta be an explanation for this," he said to himself as he chewed. He couldn't let it go. He wanted to understand. “Some kind of meteorological phenomenon? Or, like … " He chewed. And swallowed. “The mountains. That must be it. They're so tall here that they sorta barricade the valley from outside weather. It's sorta like an island. Except on land." But why wasn't there any mention in the national park's guidebook?

When he reached the bottom, Paddy looked back up and made an 'oof' noise. “That's going to be more work getting up than coming down … "

He told himself to remember where that cave was. Memorize the spot. Don't forget! It was likely the only shortcut from this valley to the outside. If he forgot where it was, he'd have to cross over the snowy tops of the mountains to get out of here. And I'm definitely not equipped to do that!

He could possibly follow the river. But that might take him away from civilization, further into the wilderness. I don't have enough food to last more than a full day.

This vacation is turning into one to remember. _ _

It was at this point that he began to come down from the 'high' of discovery and remember: “My clothes are soaked." They were starting to chafe. Stopping by a clear, bubbling stream, he dropped his backpack and put his camera down.

“Not like anyone's going to see me … " He shrugged and began to strip. The sun was out, and the air was warm. If he wrung all the water out of his clothes, maybe they'd dry out a little. Besides, he should stay in one place and rest a while.

At around six feet, one hundred seventy pounds, and being an avid outdoorsman, Paddy had a respectable figure. He wouldn't be mistaken for a body builder, but he was in shape.

Off went his shirt. Jeans, too. Shoes, socks. And, finally, his underwear. He wrung everything out, twisting, bunching up each item of clothing before spreading them all out atop some nearby bushes.

“That feels nice," he whispered, of the warm sun on his skin. He savored it for a second before returning to the stream, blowing out a deep breath and placing his hands on his hips. He smiled at his reflection, flexing his arms and twisting his chest left and right. “What midlife crisis?"

Then came a yawn.

“Mm … "

And another.

Wouldn't hurt to take a nap. Why not? Just an hour or two.

Before he did that, he got his phone out of his backpack. No signal. Not a surprise. Had to check, though. He put it back. _ _

Crawling into the shade, he laid in the grass. It wasn't the most comfortable thing ever. As splendid as the valley looked, he was still on a mountainside, not a bed.

His fatigue overtook him, however, and he drifted off to sleep …

Paddy awoke sometime later to a tickling feeling. Eyes still closed, he lazily swatted a hand down his body … and it touched something. Something soft, velvety. Warm. Something not belonging to him. It was sniffing. And … licking?

Paddy sat up and screamed.

The creature whose face had been exploring his chest and belly lifted its head. “Hello!" she said brightly, towering over him.

“You're … you're … " A horse? No. No, that thing on its forehead. A horn? No way! “A unicorn?!" He couldn't decide which was more remarkable: that he was looking at a unicorn, or that it could talk.

“Name's Alanna," the unicorn mare said. “Pleased to meet you!" She enthusiastically bowed her sharp-horned head.

“Gah!" Paddy had to role out of the way to keep from getting speared.

“Oh, sorry!" Alanna apologized. She scuffed a hoof in the grass. “Heh. I'm, uh, not used to visitors … "

“I see … " Paddy clutched the sides of his head. He was still groggy from the nap. I'm dreaming, right? Maybe that's it. I'm actually still asleep. This can't be real. But being in a strange, hidden valley that had its own weather and had only been reachable through a cave was? Either this whole day has been a hallucination, or you're really talking to a unicorn.

“I could smell you. From downstream," the mare continued, unbidden.

Paddy frowned and sniffed at himself.

“No, it's not bad!" Alanna assured. “It's just … different."

“Right … "

“The polite thing to do would be to tell me your name," she reminded with a smile.

Horses can smile? Well, I guess if they can talk. “I'm Paddy."

“Is that short for something?" Alanna asked, tilting her head.

“No … "

“Oh. Well. It's a cute name anyway!"

“Thanks?" he said, giving the horned horse a look over. “Yours, too." She was incredibly striking, he had to admit. A muscular, shimmery-white hide with irregular grey patches here and there. Jet black hooves. A flowing cobalt blue mane and tail. Looked like she'd landed from outer space.

My camera! I should take pictures of her.

He picked up his camera and said, “Um, do you mind if I … ?" He waggled his lens at her.

“I mean, I'd advise against it?" she said as nicely as she could. “But I won't stop you from trying."

“What does that mean?" Paddy asked.

“It won't turn out."

“I'm a pretty good photographer," he promised confidently, aiming at her, framing her perfectly. He adjusted the shutter speed. The colors. The lighting! This was going to be epic. He pressed the release button.

Nothing happened.

He tried again.

Nothing.

He huffed with frustration. “What … "

“You can't capture magical beings on film," Alanna told him in a 'aren't you silly!' voice.

“It's not even film. It's digital," Paddy grumbled.

The horse rolled her brilliant blue eyes. “Well, whatever. You can't capture us. We're sorta 'outside' normal perception. Ever seen the Loch Ness monster? Or Sasquatch? No."

“But I suppose they're real, too?"

“I mean, I haven't met them personally, but—"

“You're magical? Like, you have powers?"

“I guess that depends on what you mean by 'powers'," Alanna said evasively.

Paddy tried the camera one more time. It had stopped working entirely. He even tried his phone. Same result. Nothing. These things better work when I get out of here! I didn't budget for a new camera and smartphone.

“How'd you find the valley?" the mare asked curiously.

“Just flukey, I guess." Paddy put his stuff down. “It started to rain. I was looking for cover." He rubbed at his neck, which was slightly stiff from laying on the ground. “Saw a light and went after it?" He made eye contact with the horse. “It wasn't my intention to intrude. I'm only here for a bit."

“You're not intruding," Alanna promised quietly.

“Was just drying my clothes," he said, jerking a thumb at his sun-splashed attire. “The rain will probably be over by the time I leave."

Speaking of which, he didn't feel too shy about being naked in front of her. Why? He should've. Maybe cause she's a different species? So, she's not comparing me to anyone familiar. And she's nude, too. I mean, she would be, but … makes the whole situation a little more even. “I'll be gone by nightfall," he reiterated.

“Yeah. Um. About that … "

“Mm?" Paddy followed the unicorn's gaze. Behind them, back up the mountainside. The cave. The entrance. It was gone! “What … it was … it was right there!" he said, voice raising a few octaves.

“It sorta moves," Alanna said matter-of-factly.

“Moves?"

“Both sides. Every six hours or so? It's a security measure. Keeps people from easily getting in and out. I mean, imagine the damage your species might do to such a pristine environment if they had fixed access? No offense," she added.

Paddy took slow, deep breaths, trying to keep calm. “So, if it's impossible to get in and out—"

“Not impossible," the mare told him. “Just not easy."

“How'd you get in?" the human asked. “Were you born here?" If she was, there had to be more unicorns. He looked around. There'd been no signs of any. That was weird. What happened to them?

Alanna, avoiding eye contact, lifted a hoof just off the grass. “It's a long story … "

“Why have an entrance and exit at all?" Paddy continued, sensing she was hiding something. Not out of malice. But out of pain. He could see the hurt in her eyes.

“Just think of this place as a hidden 'pocket,' or a sub-level of your main reality. It's not self-sustaining. Needs energy to fuel it, as all things do. That energy comes from Earth. An open conduit is needed to allow for the transfer. The location of the conduit is immaterial. Just needs to exist in some fashion."

“I see." Paddy sighed, the full weight of the situation beginning to hit him. “I just … I just want to go home, you know? I need to go home. I'm supposed to be on vacation!" No one knew where he was, either. Would they send a search party? They wouldn't find anything. Would his 'death' make the news? “I have a job, a family. I didn't mean to come here! I was just trying to get out of the rain."

“Wife? Kids?" Alanna asked curiously, a hitch in her voice.

“No … why?"

“Mm. No reason." The mare nodded her pretty, blue-maned head, expression revealing her to be lost in thought. Or something else …

Paddy squinted at the horse. Something's up with her. Seriously. “If you're really 'magical,' then you'll know where the entrance moved to. Right? I mean, you could sniff me out from however far away you were."

“I might know," she confirmed reluctantly.

“Will you take me there?" Paddy pleaded.

She blew air through her lips in a very horsey sound and pranced about, back and forth. She emanated a nervous energy. “I mean, I could … but the outside entrance could've moved to Antarctica for all I know. Or the seabed. Or a scorching desert. You could get stuck in an unhospitable environment! You'd be taking a big risk."

“If it's someplace I can't handle, I'll just turn around and come back until the Earth side moves to a better place."

The unicorn shook her head, long horn glowing in the sunlight. What was it made of? Maybe it was ivory? “What if a shift occurs when you're still moving through the cave? You might get phased into the rock! You could get killed."

“I'll take my chances."

The horse seemed got even more skittish, tossing her head about, her hooves shifting and trampling the grass.

“Who made up these rules, anyway?" Paddy pressed, wishing she would stay still. She was beginning to make him nervous.

“Oh, you know … some witch or wizard or something."

“Or something?" he emphasized, wanting more details.

“Look, I don't know everything," she defended with a frown. She finally stopped moving and faced him again.

“I guess unicorns don't have school," Paddy said dryly.

“Not really. I mean, we can't write." Alanna raised a hoof as evidence.

“Mm. Touche. Well!" Paddy stood up. His muscles wobbled, and he was forced to stretch them fully awake.

The horse eyed him almost hungrily while he moved.

This is weird. I gotta get outta here. “I'll take my chances with what I find. I can't stay." How would he even survive in such a place? It was basically a wilderness. “So, I'll get dressed and you'll show me the way out? Agreed?"

The unicorn sighed, seeing he wasn't going to be deterred.

It's almost like she doesn't want me to leave …

“Please?" Paddy added, for the sake of nicety.

“I'll tell you what," Alanna said, knowing she had the upper hand. Or hoof, in this case. “I'll help you out … if you help me out."

Paddy shook his head, not understanding. “How can I possibly help someone who has magic in their blood?"

“Magic isn't a great substitute for … " Trailing off, the mare cleared her throat. She seemed flushed, embarrassed. “Well, it can't take care of everything, you know?"

Paddy still didn't get it.

Alanna shyly turned herself around, facing away from him. She flicked her luxurious, colorful tail several times, revealing her incredibly curvy rump. But, what's more, a winking, deep-pink, pouty sex. Raw and hot, it flashed at him. Invitingly.

Paddy took a step back. “Hey. What … what are you doing? Stop that!"

“I can't masturbate with hooves!" the mare said, a despairing edge in her voice. “And it's been so long, and … and you're a male. You can help me!" she insisted with hopeful delirium.

“Help you w-what … ?"

“Don't be dense, Paddy."

“I can't … I can't do that. This! Whatever. It's wrong." Wasn't it?

“I'm as sentient as you are. I'm consenting," Alanna assured. “It's perfectly natural! And if that still doesn't put you at ease, it's not like anyone will ever know about it." A pause. “Except you and me."

That's true …

“So, that's the deal. I'll help you 'escape' if you make love to me," Alanna restated plainly. She added, in a tactical dig at his pride, “Unless you can't get up for it … "

The potshot worked. “I can get 'up'," the human defended proudly, stepping back toward her.

“Then touch me," Alanna pleaded. “I want to be touched … "

Paddy swallowed and put a hand on her shapely ass. It was hot. Hot and finely-haired. He allowed his hand to move around, rubbing, petting her. Softening his tone, he said, “You know, I'm, uh, not built like a horse … don't want to disappoint you … "

“Don't you worry about that," she said with a vaguely sneaky undercurrent. “After how long I've gone without? I'm not picky. Now, come on." The mare was truly impatient. She was ready to go! “You have pleasured a woman before, right?" she goaded, keeping him distracted. She needed him to do this … in more ways than one.

“Yes," the man promised, chest puffing up. “Yeah, I've … yeah! Of course."

“Well, then you should know what you're doing."

“In a manner of speaking," Paddy quipped, rubbing her hips, her curves. And, finally, going for her pussy. Her tail swished above it. It wasn't human. But the basic structure was the same. He dipped a finger inside. The heat was insane. He felt his loins stirring.

I shouldn't be so turned on …

Does she have a clitoris? Is this it?

He wiggled a finger.

Alanna whinnied, her tail flicking about.

Guess so. She's loving it already! She's probably never been touched like this. By actual, versatile hands.

Paddy put his remaining digits to use.

Maybe this won't be so bad …

There was something alluring about her. Was it the magic? Or was she just naturally seductive? _ _

Whatever it was, he was now fully erect. Six inches and throbbing. Standing behind her, he wondered if he'd be able to connect with her body while flat-footed? He couldn't. “Um … problem," he muttered.

“Hmm? Oh! Here," she said, realizing his predicament. “I'll lay down. You can get on your knees."

“Thanks … " He was short of breath, skin flush with desire.

Alanna got to her knees, hunkering down on the grass.

Paddy dropped down behind her, and he didn't wait. The anticipation was too much. He pushed into her. More like 'eased.' Because it was so, so easy. Her pussy swallowed him up, slick and silken, tropically hot.

Heaven.

“Oh … oh, I've missed this," Alanna sighed. “Having someone inside me … "

“Uh-huh," was the only reply he could manage.

“Move it in and out," she said. “Thrust into me!"

Paddy nodded, starting to do so. He could feel his penis tingling. It was good, almost unusually good. How could anything feel like this? As he dipped into her sex, her juices seeped out of her, seeming to glow with some supernatural power. He knew he should've questioned that, but he was too caught up in the pleasure.

“Keep going!" she urged, mouth hanging open. “Harder!" The horn on her forehead began to throb with glowing energy.

The human, fingers spread, grabbed her backside. He clutched, thrusted. Repeatedly. “Hah … " Over. “Ah!" And over! Soon, he was humping her non-stop, loins and balls slapping to her ass.

“Uhh!" Alanna groaned, flicking her tail. Swish-swish-swish! Back and forth across Paddy's curly-haired chest. “Yes, yes!"

He motored his hips, his thighs and balls slapping her curvy, white-furred rump.

She feels tighter than she did to start.

Slick, slick, slap!

Definitely way, way tighter. How?

Slick, slick!

Who cares! Oh, god, it's so good!

SLAP!

“Ah, ah, I can't, I c-cahhhn't," Paddy moaned. He was this close to losing it.

“Do it! Give it to me!" the mare bellowed, starting to clench and cum around him. And they weren't gentle squeezes, either. They were violent, muscular spasms. Vice-like in strength.

“Oh, f-fuhhh … uh, uh, uh!" Paddy grunted, eyes squeezing shut as he orgasmed. His head leaned back. Eyes closed. He was tingling all over, fingers nearly numb. It was the most intense feeling he could remember. He spurted more times than he could count. I've never produced this much! Have I been that pent up? It had been a few months since he and his last girlfriend had parted ways.

Alanna snorted for air.

Paddy, feeling indescribably hazy, looked down. “Mm?" Something wasn't right. The base of his cock. Where'd that big vein come from? Where … where did the hair on my balls go? They were now hairless. Pale pink.

Heart hammering, Paddy pulled out of her. Just a few inches. Then all the way. What flopped out of the mare was twice as long and thick as what he'd put into her. “The hell!" he cried.

“Hmm?" Lolling on her side, Alanna lifted her head to check.

“It's like a horse's!" His blunt, smooth glans was a flared-out shape. The beastly appendage gave residual twitches, still covered in the mare's glowing juices. That's it. Oh, god, that's it! He must've caught something from her! Some sexually transmitted … something. A disease? A curse, maybe? He put his hands on his forehead. “What have I done … "

“Mmm!" Alanna went, not at all displeased. Her nostrils flared as she eyed his transformed penis. “It's cute!"

Paddy glared daggers at her. “Change it back! How can I escape like this?!" I can't go through the rest of my life with a horse cock. How would I hide it? How would I visit the doctor, or ever have a girlfriend again? I'd be taken to a lab as a freak of nature.

The mare, clearing her throat, decided to come clean. “See, I, uh … I didn't specify what you'd be escaping from when I made the offer." She let that hang, sitting up on her knees. “You get to 'escape' being human."

Paddy gasped. That numbness he'd felt in his fingers? He moved his hands in front of him. They were turning black. His fingers were fusing together, becoming hard. Very hard. Hooves. His hands and feet were turning into hooves.

“Surprise?" Alanna said meekly.

“No. No, no, no." Pale and trembling, Paddy stood up. Or tried to. His knees buckled, and he wound up on all fours. “I feel dizzy … oh, god." He steeled himself and tried to stand again. He couldn't get to two legs anymore. His knees were changing directions. “I really need to leave!"

“You can't," she said softly. The mare nosed at him sympathetically. “You think you'd be safe in the human world as a unicorn? They'd capture you. Or kill you and stuff you for display. You're only safe in this valley … with me."

With her. That's been her plan since she saw me! To keep me here. “Change me back!" Paddy yelled, not ready to accept this. “I'm not your pet!"

“It's permanent," she said.

Paddy's world stopped. “P-permanent?"

“You 'made love' with a magical being!" she accused. “You tapped into my very essence!"

“Because you asked for it!"

“And you accepted," she reminded.

“Yeah, but … " He shook his head. “The one time I don't use protection … " How did I know I'd need a condom on a wilderness hike to make love with a contagious unicorn?

“Are you … mad?" Alanna asked after a moment of silence.

“Am I mad? Am I mad?! Yes! I didn't ask for this … I have a life," he said. “A life I didn't plan on leaving!"

“I'm sorry, but I have a life, too!" she yelled back, quaking with emotion. “I had no choice."

“No choice?" Paddy echoed.

“I'm the only one left!" Alanna said. “You had to have suspected that … that I'm the only unicorn left in the valley." The mare's nostrils flared. She snorted, her mane flying around as she twisted her head. She stood up, rump first, then her front. His semen dripped from her still-winking pussy.

“Do you know what that's like?" the unicorn challenged, scuffing a hoof at the grass in frustration. “It could've been years, decades until another man found his way here. I couldn't pass up the chance to change you. I've been so lonely!" Her voice faltered. “You can't even know … "

There was a story there, about what happened to the rest of her herd. But she didn't tell it. She began to sob. “I need a mate … I'm so lonely … "

Paddy sighed. His anger hadn't abated. But seeing a unicorn cry? That was too sad for him. “Don't do that! Hey." He wasn't sure what to say. The changes were accelerating. I'm gonna get sick. “Look, I … I just … "

“I hope you can forgive me," Alanna interrupted, turning and quickly galloping away.

“Alanna, wait! Alanna!"

But she was gone, leaving Paddy to flail about as his limbs lengthened, strengthened, his fingers and toes gone forever, fully hooved. He'd never be able to hold or grasp anything ever again. It wasn't fair!

No matter how hard he wished against it, the changes kept coming.

His short hair became long and flowing. Unlike the rich blue of Alanna, his 'mane' took on a fiery, autumnal red. He could see it in front of his eyes. He shook his head, tossing it, looking behind him. He had a tail, now, equally red. It extended from his increasingly enormous behind.

And that horse cock? It became enveloped in a sheath, testicles like billiard balls. A soft, fuzzy layer of hair sprouted over his body. Head to hoof. Not dark and curly like before, but light, sparkly, and fine. White with grey patches, similar to Alanna's, maybe a shade or two darker.

And, all the while, his internal organs reshaped. His stomach, his lungs, his heart.

“Guhhh … "

The magic he'd caught from screwing the mare was relentless. It sought out every cell, every strand of DNA in his body, and rewrote it, altered it. Soon, there was nothing left of his human self.

He was strong, muscles rippling. He could tell because he could see his reflection in the nearby stream. He took a few shaky steps toward it just in time to see the bony, pointy 'horn' spout from his forehead. How long was it? A foot? At least.

It faintly glowed.

That was the last touch.

It was over.

Winded, the male unicorn gazed at his reflection some more.

That's … me?

I don't look that bad … kinda majestic, aren't I?

He pranced and posed in place.

And, if he were being honest, he'd say his new body felt … _ _

Strong. I feel very strong. And potent.

If he was changed by intimate exposure to a magical being, he must be one, too. Right? Do I have powers? I wonder what they are? He imagined what forces of the universe must be flowing through his bloodstream right now, passing in and out of his heart.

What about your old self?

He didn't answer that. He couldn't. He had all the memories of it. His mind was still human. But … he knew he couldn't get old body back. Unless Alanna was lying. And he didn't think she was. Else she wouldn't have tricked him into sex.

Tricked? You kinda … you were into it.

It was good.

“Yeah … "

His libido was just as much to blame for this. He could've turned her down.

Paddy mulled and moped for a bit, trying to come to terms with this.

The new stallion saw the sun beginning to set. What was he supposed to do now? What was he supposed to eat? Was he hungry? I think I'm hungry. Where was he supposed to sleep? How much sleep did horses need? Was he supposed to sleep standing up or laying down?

I don't know how to be a unicorn!

“Alanna!" he called again.

No answer.

Hanging his head, Paddy sighed.

I'm thirsty …

For sure.

All that panting from earlier.

He bent his head down to drink from the crystalline stream, the just-risen moonlight bouncing off it. The sun was nearly gone, now. Night was coming to the valley. Cool but comfortable. He wondered if it was always perfect here. He supposed it was, given the magical protections it had.

He gulped down quite a bit of water. _ _

But he was still hungry. I don't want to eat grass. Give me a good piece of fruit, at least. His stomach rumbled. Horses had big appetites, it turned out.

As he finished drinking, thinking about food, something blocked out the reflection of the moon.

Paddy lifted his red-maned, horned head.

It was Alanna. She didn't say anything.

Neither did he. Paddy just lowered his head down to take another drink. He wasn't thirsty anymore, but it kept him from having to talk to her.

Alanna lowered her head to drink, too. Just a foot or so away.

The stallion swished his red tail, and it brushed over her blue one. He wasn't sure if he'd done that on purpose or if it was an accident. It just sorta … happened. But the mare returned the gesture. When they both lifted their heads again, their glowing, magical horns crossed like swords. It was inadvertent, but neither pulled away. They looked into each other's eyes.

“Come with me?" Alanna whispered, her heart vulnerably opening to him. She sounded almost fragile. “Please? I … I know a lovely place to graze … "

What are the alternatives, here?

What's done is done.

Maybe try and make the best of this?

Paddy slid his horn up and down against her own.

He couldn't stay mad at her.

“Lead the way," he whispered back.

A few days passed.

It was mid-morning in a flower-filled meadow, and the two unicorns rocked against one other. Paddy's belly rode up along Alanna's back. His front hooves were off the ground, dangling on either side of her white-and-silver body. The back hooves were digging so hard into the lush, grass that he was leaving imprints in the dirt.

Their horns were glowing, sparking magically. The connection between them was electric. She felt even better now than she did when he was human!

Oh, god, oh, god, oh, he was gonna … !

The red-maned stallion shuddered, seeing stars as he filled the blue-maned mare. His now-enormous cock pulsed and jerked inside her winking, squeezing pussy. “Ah, ahhhh … ah … " Paddy twisted his head about, dumbfounded, unable to process the sensations.

“Yes … oh, yes," Alanna breathed, whinnying with pleasure. Her eyes were closed, hide matted with a fine sheen of sweat.

Still regaining his breath, Paddy sniffed at her mane. He hadn't noticed Alanna's scent as a human. Not really. But, now? She smelled good. She smelled so good. It was driving him crazy. He could barely concentrate.

Still thinking like a human, the newly minted horse had no clue what it meant: that she was ovulating.

The oblivious stallion pulled out of the female and dropped back to all fours, insisting as he rubbed up against her, “This … this doesn't mean I'm falling in love with you." He added, for his own wavering benefit, “Just so we're clear … "

The soon-to-be-pregnant mare, happier than she'd ever been and knowing she'd never be lonely again, smiled and played along with his hollow denial. “Of course not." She flicked her tail against him. “Race you to the lake?" she challenged. “We can go for a swim."

Paddy smiled back at her, already launching into a thundering gallop. “See you there!"
