This story is a continuation of https://www.sofurry.com/view/1785648

This is the third and final day, I hope I can complete the story by Prompt 30. This a continuation of prompts from Day 24 - Indecisive.

Chase is a budding actor who just managed his big break, but unforeseen events bring him back to his hometown.

Just want to thank everyone that commented, liked, and faved. It's been an exciting experience to write and read your reviews. I hope I can do the story justice, maybe I'll be short or maybe not. The journey was definitely exciting.

Due to the nature of this challenge, I will be updating daily (if possible).

Prompts are separated by - - - - - so any change in tone isn't my fault.

EDIT - Just editing.

Chasing Wolves by Flasker

Sunday

It was past midnight and couple were tired and spent, the human was already fast asleep. His body sore from that intense workout on his rear. The wolf was still licking him, his form swallowing the male whole in a tight embrace. His cock was still pulsing a little but without his knot inside his mate it wouldn't last long, he squeezed it anyways and groaned as the tightness got him going for a bit longer. He snuggled his human close, his tail never stopping its wagging as he breathed in that nostalgic smell. He wondered how he'd gotten here to this point and drift to sleep thinking on the events of the past day.

Friday

Hunter Howle woke up from his drunken stupor still dazed and very confused with his whereabouts. Last thing he remembered he was drinking with some of his co-workers then recollection hit him. Fucking Max and Greg he thought to himself, his feeling oh them hadn't gotten better since the incident at the high school. He had thought they were the ones to drugged him and then what they did to Chase…

He shook his head at the memories. He had blanked out that entire night, and his aversion to that drug ever since. He tried to apologize the first chance he got but by then the human had already decided on his course of action. He'd beaten those two up until they were black and blue and then some more, they admitted to the drug but never to what they did to his human, of course afterwards they tattled on him to his uncle but never telling him why. His uncle had scolded him about the optics and when they got home he beat him bad, made sure none of it ever showed. Having thick fur can be a curse sometimes. All the while telling him how he'd be a disappointment as alpha if he didn't manage his temper better. The wolf just growled at the memory.

Then when he joined the force, another decision his uncle made for him, they'd met again. The two of course at this point had been sufficiently cowed. They apologized and “made up" but he never really forgave them. No he just took his uncle's lesson to heart, he stopped caring after Chase left, after the night they parted ways. He should've went with him, but of course things had changed.

Wolves are not humans, a pack is more than just a collection of wolves. It was more than a family and the expectation to stay runs deep. When he beat those two to a pulp he was expected to make up to them, they were pack brothers after all. Fine he could do that, he'd just find little ways to make their life hell and make it seem like it was their fault. Oh he knew how to do that, years of observing his uncle taught him well. People thought he was air headed or just lacking but he was just lazy and did not like doing anything underhanded. Whenever he froze or gave a blank stare he was running through a dozen scenarios and what their implications might be, it was just when he was with that stupid human that his brain short wires, or the universe just kept conspiring against his plans.

He was walking along his shortcut, the path was overgrown now. Alex might've done it to hide the path better but he never asked. Hunter was drinking his ass off when the two wolves came barging in trying to start trouble, laughing like they were best buds. He knew they'd waited till he was off his rockers before pouncing at him, it was the weekends and he was off duty, he'd left his things in the car. They didn't have the balls to do anything while he was sober, no they'd lost that safety net a while back. They didn't dare after he became sheriff. He grinned at that thought, the two obviously still think he's their boss and friend and teasing or hazing comes with the territory. He might've fought them off but he'd gotten wasted the moment his shift was over, already several bottles deep, he wanted to celebrate and once again the universe found the worse time to do this to him.

The last thing he remembered passing out was their mischievous faces grinning at him. He grumbled as he looked around for his uniform, where the hell did they put it!? He was in his tighty whities and might've been embarrassed if anyone were looking, not that he needed to be. He'd lost weight after all. The wolf scoured the trees, trying to sniff for his clothes but nothing came to him, he was too drunk and might've caught lost his sense of smell. He walked around in a circle for several minutes before spying his jacket up on one of the trees. Hunter got into a low crouched and darted up the tree, trying to recall some of his old grace but stumbled and wavered as he loped up the side. He grabbed it and quickly donned it, the jacket was doing a poor job hiding his lower half so he just hunched, hoping no one saw him on his way to the car. He swore he had some spare clothes, he always left for the weekends after all and grabbed at his bulge at the thought. He wondered which of his flings he come visit this time, they'd gotten quite restless lately since he stopped visiting. That fox was an eager bottom, he recalled how shy and reluctant the kit was when they first got together a few years back but that didn't last long. He had been crying about how much it hurt when he wasn't even half-way in the first time they did it but now the fox just kept begging for him to come back and when they would meet again.

Another one was a dark haired human, quite tall for his species and had been very enthusiastic. That was the first time the wolf had seen such a kinky individual and had been introduced to some of the darker stuff, the wolf was both disgusted and intrigued. That didn't last long when the human started asking for crazier and crazier things to be done to him and he just broke things off. He was just glad he never gave them his real name or where he was from. A wolf as tall as he was really stood out like a sore thumb, he'd gotten the habit of hunching a lot and wearing baggy clothes outside of Riverton.

He pondered how to spend his weekend when he suddenly remembered the date. There was a funeral tomorrow wasn't there? He frowned, Hunter had never had much interaction with Chase's family but the boy always talked about his grandmother and cousin and how they're one of the few reasons he bothered to stay. He started to get lost memory, got thought his own special brand of misery. His earliest memories of his uncle used to be of a pretty relax, laid back wolf. He always let things go by the wayside and would take pride in Hunter's little achievements. He would come over and play with his older cousin, the infant pup would always follow him around when they went out to play. Brock always says he was always his favorite little nephew, the other members of their pack were also “family" true but not by blood.

Then one day his wife just left him, took their kid and calling him a dead-end beat cop with no prospects. Found the town life stifling and oppressive, wanted more for his kid and had found a better man, with deeper pockets and more ambitions. That pretty much ruined him, Hunter felt sorry for his uncle and was sad that his cousin had left him. That was the start of their abandonment issues. The wolf had taken to stress eating but managed it well enough, he had his younger brother, Hunter's dad as support. And with that support decided to take a shot at being the new alpha.

He had been a candidate and the old one was about to retire soon, the position both ceremonial and political. Others might think the role was just a testosterone fest who was most strongest but that wasn't true. It was akin to a tribal chief or a politician of the executive branch, while the Elders were more like the judicial and legislative. For one thing you needed high grades to be even considered, extracurricular a must and be an outstanding member of the community. The physical aspect is almost the base level requirements needed to even be considered. Interpersonal skills, clan history, leadership and tribal knowledge were also a requirements. The tests had physical, mental and cultural components with the final being a vote from the pack. The eldest Howle had put all his time and effort into it and to their shock he succeeded. He remembered that day, his uncle beaming for the first time in a long time with his brother by his side and him clapping in the audience. That didn't last long.

Brock took the job with glee and enthusiasm, the role had been mostly ceremonial after all and the executive powers while very loose in interpretation were never actually used, not since the last century. Most of the time he was more like the royal hand waver for the Elders, and approved everything they passed. He did however dove into his role as community outreach and youth leader, shaping and leading the new generation. When the Elders saw this they were very eager to have an alpha that did things more actively and gave him more duties. Most of them including mediation between members and strengthening relationships with packs outside Riverton and the local canines. This he also took in stride, through the year burying himself in responsibility to drown out the emptiness.

The pup saw him always tired and defeated whenever he visited his home. One time he snuck in and hear his uncle arguing on the phone wanting to meet his son, telling the person how he's an important person now with responsibilities and duties. He never heard the other end of those calls though and would hear the wolf scream out in response before hanging up. Over time the wolf grew to hate his job, he wanted it but only because he had nothing else going on and the only thing left as stake was his reputation if nothing else. Everyone loved him after all, maybe that would be enough for him, maybe it would be a suitable replacement. His normal job paroling the streets made him already jaded to society's extremes.

It went on like this for a while, the wolf was overworked but did it to keep up appearances and felt like a candle burned out at both ends. It was then that he starting visiting his father's more often, the two would hug it out and relax, airing out their worries away and enjoying each other's company. Hunter however noticed how close his uncle and his mom were getting. It started out little at first, but the visits became frequent, and sometimes when his father wasn't around. He thought it strange but his uncle was getting better so it must be helping. It all came to a crash a while later when his dad caught his uncle in bed with his mother. There were shouts and screams and threats all around, furniture was thrown and both had scratch and bite marks at the end of the scuffle. There was an awkward tension in the air but none of them would say anything when Hunter was in the room, just giving each other death glares as the pup watched in confusion.

At some point his dad stopped talking to his brother, and even his wife. The pup would go up to his dad and try to cheer him up but he slowly started being less receptive to his son's affections. The father was a gray wolf much like his brother, but Hunter inherited his mother's darker fur and blue eyes and even her laugh. Every time the wolf looked at him he started to see her and would just get angry. Then he started accusing his wife, saying that he's probably not even his real son. She would say that their affair didn't even start until recently but the husband would just growl and sulk away. When she tried to offer a paternity test he would outright refuse, saying that's not the point. They would get into heated arguments until one day his mother came home and shoved the test results in his face and gloat. Saying how wrong he was but the wolf just blazed at that. She was goading at his pride and the wolves of Riverton do not like that one bit. It finally reached a boiling point when one day Hunter came home laughing and smiling to his father showing him the new thing they're learn at school and the wolf just exploded. Shouting at him for laughing at him and shoving him to the floor before storming off. The pup never knew what to make of it, thinking it was his fault and trying harder to earn his affections.

What's worse now is that his mother was now actively seeing his uncle, more out of spite than because she had any feelings for the older wolf. She would just parade around when he came over, even when the brother was trying to be discreet she'd announce to him she was going now and how limp-dick and brow beaten he was, only complaining and bitching instead of fighting his bigger brother.

Hunter didn't know when but one day his dad just up and left, didn't even pack a thing. Just vanished to the winds. That really broke the youth and he would often blame himself for not being enough for his dad to stay.

For a time the drama died down and it was just him and his mother, occasionally his uncle coming to visit. But whatever had been going on between the two had slowly died out, his mother got bored of him, complaining about how he is always fretting about one thing or another and trying too hard to be liked by everyone. One day the wolf just snapped and pin his mother down to the ground and showed her what it meant to antagonize the alpha. The pup heard the scream, begging then crying that night. After it happened the uncle apologized profusely for the deed but the damage was done. His mother just shut down afterwards, actively avoiding attracting any attention from his uncle and hiding at home all day.

Then she began seeing his uncle in him and actively tried to avoid him, she'd accuse him of turning out like his dad or uncle, how they were such disappointments and that he would scare everyone away like he did his dad. She began to take a job out of state just to avoid dealing with the two, coming home less and less frequently til it was months apart between visits. The wolfess just dump him in front of his uncle's home one day and drove off, leaving a voice message to his uncle about how it's his responsibility now.

Hunter might've hated his uncle more if he understood it at an earlier age, but the dysfunction was what he grew up with and just took it at face value for what it was. He wanted to hate his uncle more but he'd already lost his dad, then his mom, he couldn't also lose his only family member left. The uncle for his part begrudgingly took his in, as a penance of sorts for his transgression and also because it would look bad to the pack if the alpha didn't care for his immediate family. The pup clung to the only family he had left like a life jacket. Things just kept getting worse and the pup didn't know any better that it shouldn't be this way.

The drunk wolf just growled at the memories flooding his mind, he shook his head and saw doubles. Those lupine grade bottles were doing a number on him and the buzz was killing him. Just then he saw the hint of dusk light hitting the clearing, he smiled at that. Finally a familiar spot and trudged closer, seeing the familiar statue that he'd frequently visit to hide or reminisce. He just wanted this day over with, maybe he'd visit the funeral and then go visit one of his playthings, he'd gotten back into shape and needed to release some pent up frustration, the wolf adjusted himself subconsciously until he suddenly saw a strange figure staring at the sculpture.

Who the hell is that? Why does he know this place?

The wolf lower himself a bit further, he looked like a bum and his mane was tossed and turn in all the branches. He swayed but somehow manage to sneak up on the human until his foot caught a branch. He cursed himself at his sloppiness. The human turned around stared blankly at him. The drunk wolf couldn't tell who it was, his face reading skills were terrible when it came to non canines and too much of the feature was hidden behind very big reflective sunglasses that only showed his own face back at him. He did not like his own reflection and tried to listen around for maybe others.

“You lost? The hotel is thataway." He gestured but his eye hand coordination was shot, too busy trying to know what the deal with this human was and only looking at his drunken ass staring back at him fro m those shades. He must look like shit to the stranger, and decided not to bother trying. Just get this day over with.

He noticed the human was just staring at him now. Was he judging him now? He didn't need this shit, he had enough judgment from his uncle.

“What's with the look?" Hunter glared back at the short flesh-bag. He decided to justify his appearance.

“It's the weekends and I'm on break. Hic. I'm allowed to be drunk in my down time- stop judging me pup." He growled, try not to sound petulant to a total stranger. The wolf did notice the human was probably young, maybe his age or younger and leery thoughts of finding a human to pass the time with wasn't so bad. He decided to close in, his nose trying to profile the human – he'd gotten pretty good at determining what he liked in a human, he had practice. The only thing he got though was the scent of those stupid de-scenters. It was like daggers to his senses, a mix of plain ole' vanilla and minty sharp smell that just clogs up the sinuses.

“Ack you smell too much of product, damn you tourists are always coming in here littering the streets and mucking up the parks. If I catch you doing any of that I'm gonna haul your ass up to the station myself. You're looking shady as hell looking all covered up. Hic."

What kind of tourists goes around in a hoodie covering his head and wearing those bright reflective sunglasses? It's nearly night, he huffed trying to expel the lingering sense of that spray.

“You're one the talk." The human gave a huff and pointed at him up and down. “You come out of the bushes reeking of alcohol and-"

He looked at the wolf first up, then down and further down at his crotch.

“Why are you half naked? I should have you arrested for public indecency!"

“Wha? Oh shit!" The wolf gaped, oh shit he forgot he was naked. No wonder the human didn't respond to the jail threat. He just stared down at his tighty whities. Damn he did not want to be caught wearing his unflattering underwear. He gave a weak response.

“Yeah, asshole friends took my clothes while we were drunk."

“Then why'd they leave your jacket?"

He tried to think of something stupid and went with. “It wasn't on me when they stripped me! I only got it after I woke up, they must've forgotten about it." he whined. “Besides I was only walking for a few minutes when I stumbled onto you. What's your excuse for being here?" Hunter internally panicked, did the human discover the box at the base? It still had some drugs in it and other stuff that the wolf kept. He peered to the spot and saw it laid undisturbed, then relaxed.

“I saw the statue and came to look at it. I'm a tourist, sight-seeing is what I do." The wolf grumbled internally, probably saw it while walking around the park lot, it was very difficult to see if you're not looking for it but not totally impossible. He was gonna have to correct that, this was his spot, no one else's!

Hunter eyed him skeptically but then shrugged. “Whatever as long as you're not doing anything shady it's none of my business. Hic. Besides, I ain't got nothing to be ashamed." He flexed an arm and gave the stranger a grin. “Like what you see?" He wanted to test and see if the human might be open to his advances, tourists were an easy crowd to make a pass at and he wasn't wearing his uniform anyways.

“You're not my type."

“Really? So you eyeballing my goods just mere coincidence?" Hunter tried to raise an eyebrow flirtatiously.

The human gave him a disbelieving look, the wolf looked at his clumsy pose in those reflective lenses and almost deflated, but something in him told him to soldier on and that's what he'd do. He drew closer and closer to the human until his muzzle was practically on his face. The wolf gave a predatory smile, his tail wagging even though it's still up front.

“Hmm you don't look half bad for a pinkie." The human really didn't, sure his facial features were covered but who cares? He's got a nice toned body, must work out. He wondered how long the human could last if he went all out and pounded his ass until he was a sloppy wet quivering mess. He really need to release his pent up frustration. Up close he somehow felt a hint of recognition but couldn't quite place it, did he see him before or something? Like on an ad or maybe a bad porno? He really was bad with human faces and his drunken eyes weren't doing him any favors, sometimes seeing doubles but his tail was wagging now.

“And there's something familiar about you…"

He wanted to get a close look but then his bitch alarm went off. He screamed internally. She is not supposed to be calling now, this was supposed to be his weekend! At the sound of that ringtone all signs of joviality left Hunter. “What the fuck does she want now." He awkwardly fumbled through his jacket before fishing out an older model phone, he really needed to get a replacement but there were too many things going on right now.

“Yeah what?"

“You need to send the papers in today Hunter." Sarah murmur.

“No that's not today- wait. Fuck I'm drunk sort that shit out yourself."

“No its your fucking responsibility Mr. Sheriff, you want it to happen or not!? If you want me to stay just ask and I will! You limp-dick piece of shit!"

"Why-"

“NOW!"

“Oh hell fine. FINE. I'm coming." The wolf hung up, his tail going limp.

“Good, get your ass over here, I signed my papers too. Take them both."

“Yeah yeah I'll see you when I sober up, gimme a hour. Hic."

“And go clean up the mess."

“What? Not my problem."

“Wait, are you drunk!?"

“I'll drink whenever I goddamn want!"

“You listen here you limp-dick faggot, you're lucky I didn't scream to the whole town what a closeted piece of shit you are so you better get your ass over here and clean up the little mess. Let's go our separate ways and be done with each other. Got that!?"

She really did have him by the balls, the only reason she didn't bother to say it was because she also cared about her image and hated to be the wolfess with a gay husband.

“Yea."

“Going then?"

“Yep"

“Come as soon as you can."

“Yap"

“Stop saying that shit!"

“Okay okay fine" Hunter drew that one out a bit. “See ya." She didn't respond as he ended the call and let out a sigh. It has been a blessing and a curse, on one hand he'd finally get rid of her, on the other hand she had something over him.

The human just looked at him sympathetically.

“The old ball and chain?" The person said in a consoling tone.

“Something like that." His mind was now racing with worry, but alcohol was grinding everything down. He just absently turned his attention away from the human, limping towards the hotel, mechanically saying. “Listen it's been fun meeting you, um."

“Casey." The name sounded familiar, but then again Casey was a pretty average name, his mind was still on about the divorce papers and he wondered if everything he had finalized he would get. He started to do figures about living arrangements and just responded.

“Nice to meet you Casey, I'm Hunter. Hic. Anyways I gotta go, don't go getting into trouble ya hear? He waved to the human as he bounded for the hotel, hoping the day would just end.

“Oh you're sleeping there? I thought you lived in town?

He just wanted to ignore the tourist, the name went in one ear and out the other.

“Huh? Oh no I left my stuff there, just gonna sober up a bit then grab dinner. Hic." He answered turning back to the human. He should still have his things in his car, he left his key in the ignition right?

The wolf decided to scare the cute human a bit and lightly warned.

“Stay safe, wild animals sometimes appear at night. Wouldn't want a predator to getting to you now would ya?"

The wolf loped up the path while scratching at his junk, he took a sniff of his claws and just frowned. How long had he'd been wearing this? It didn't take long before it walked out the parking lot, too self absorbed to see the recent graffiti on the wall or a foot entering a window. He just got to his car and found spare civilian clothes to wears, they were the most non-descript he could manage considering their size. He had to get his uniform tailored, the wolf had been unfortunate and fortunate to be so big. He could rival the biggest anthro species and had to order from their clothing lines.

Hunter also had a tailor whom he swore was closeted, the old mouse would always find a way to measure him again and cop a feel at his abs, pecs, biceps, and legs whenever he needed his clothes altered. The old mouse even continued his groping when the wolf had his weight gain period, thinking the wolf's standard might've lowered. He didn't mind, the old fur wasn't doing much harm and he offered a hefty discount. The wolf admitted he enjoyed that power he had over some people, it was intoxicating to have someone else completely in your control. It was probably why he decided to go to the academy. It made him feel like he had agency, plus the recent addition of being sheriff… It was getting to his heads. Admittedly being a cop wasn't all as glamorous as he thought, he had to deal with the most unsavory individuals and people would yell at him for how he handled situations. Plus the whole town knew who he was, there were expectations placed on him even there. He still liked his uniform though.

Sometimes he just wanted to be shorter, he frequently visited the gas station his old human used to work at and always banged his head at the door. Thankfully Riverton was an anthro-heavy town, so the sizes were always fitted to match above average furs. Any place without adjustable seats for at least 7 feet was automatically review bombed.

It was also why Riverton had recently become such an amazing tourist spot. It was one of the few places furs could visit and not be shamed or glared at for being newcomers. It was almost a secret tourist destination. He grinned, taking some pride in that. His town was like album you loved and almost jealous wanted to guard, not wanting anyone else to hear it for fear the band would get too big and change.

It was his Shangri-la, but also his hell. He'd invested too much into the place, and it took the one person he wanted. Sure the wolf had many flings, he even started a few threesomes, and maybe the people he fucked could take a liking to him but the initial encounter with them always soured any thought of taking things potentially further. Maybe his standards were too high, the wolf huffed as his ears twitch.

It was then that the wolf spied his sheriff pants hanging from a camera. He grumbled, those stupid fuck, he'd find a reason to make them pay and blame it on an accident. Hunter bounded towards them, hoping no one was watching trying to angle himself to not be caught on camera in his state. The wolf flattened to the wall and stumbled flat footed, the alcohol working it debilitating magic. He didn't need much effort to reach the camera 12 foot up from the ground, just one jump and there!

The wolf grinned at his work pants, finding to his relief his keys and his wallet, just to make sure he pulled it out and counted the money. And frowned. Those asshole took a twenty. He'd make them work an extra shift.

He considered going into the hotel but Alex might be sleeping the poor pup tired from overworking. He decided to sleep in the car, growling at it. He hated this stupid car but it was what they had and he reluctantly accepted. There weren't many cars fitted for his size, and his uncle had made a few adjustments for his big frame. He also considered replacing the siren, it was broken and the delay made his irritated even since his uncle became sheriff. Like an out of sync watch or a jigsaw puzzle missing a piece, it was mildly infuriating and he wanted it fixed.

The wolf sat in the back seat and took a quick nap, passing the day away. He dreams of days past with his human and kept replaying them.

Hunter woke up with a start and banged his head when he heard something, it sounded like it came from the annex but he wasn't sure. The groggy wolf got up and pause waiting for something else to happen. Nothing. He groaned, probably something Cass or Jonas left half done, the two had been working on the building but mostly working on the weekends. Cass was into construction but Jonas the german shepherd was a bouncer, and could only help on his off days, a favor to the wolf really. They'd been hanging out since high school and became close friends though the other wolves disapproved. There was a hiearchy afterall and most dogs seem to understand there was a certain deference given to the wolves even if they never openly admitted it.

Hunter was about to pry but then noticed the time. Shit he'd overslept by an hour! The wolf jumped out the back, did a cursory sobriety check and hopped to the driver's seat. He floored it and immediately speed his way to the heart of town into the wolf's district.

The drive didn't take long, he got there in less than 20 minutes, only stopping a few times due to light fixes and the occasional glitches. The big wolf huffed as he got out of his car and in front of his old home. Well his former home, the bitch took the house his mother left for him. It was her way of saying goodbye and good riddance, a half apology for missing out.

The moment he turned 18 she returned home and nearly cried in fear at how big he'd gotten and was looking more like his uncle every day. She just came just to get her stuff, packed what little she had, she'd been working out of states for several years now. Returning for a holiday and what not, then disappearing again, the house only got emptier as Hunter was spending most of it at his uncle's. He always managed to tidy the place up in the hopes she'd approve. Hunter would always look forward to those holidays, hoping she'd change her mind or something.

After Chase had left his only hope left was that his mother would at least stay too but the wolfess left as well, not even looking him in the eye. The departure looked just like one of many and he hadn't realized it would be their last. When she missed one of the usual holidays, that was when he cracked, had to turn to was his uncle the only person who stayed. He'd gone onto the academy just like he wanted and became a good little role model, flawed and abusive as his uncle was he'd take anything as long as they'd stay.

For a time he even began to bear his former boyfriend a grudge, almost blaming him for being too brave and having nothing to lose. Chase should've given him more time to think, he could've waited longer. But that was unfair, his humiliation as the prom was Hunter's fault after all, it was his harebrained idea and once again the human took the fall for him.

The wolf put his key in the door and turned, only for it to not budge. He growled. Did the bitch really change it!? He jiggled it again thankfully this time it opened. The place was empty, he tried to gauge how long she'd been gone by the smell. Almost an hour. Well shit. He went around the house to look for anyone and found none, was there nobody here? What about the mess? He went to one room and looked inside. Nope. Well at least that absolved him of that responsibility. He can wish his hand of this by tomorrow.

After finishing his scouring of the place he went to the kitchen and on the counter were the papers, filings for divorce. He took them and slowly sat down, digesting the moment. Marriage to her was a living hell – she always demanded him to perform, before it had been easy when he had that stash of H-Lycan. But after that episode at prom he just couldn't do it, the total loss of control was too much for him to bear and he'd never give up drinking, it was his only escape now. All the years they were married he'd never knotted her one and the woman started to think he had performance anxiety or just grown impotent.

So to help alleviate his problem she'd micro-dose his bottle with H-Lycan, for a time Hunter even wondered if he was really straight and was just confused. When he caught the bitch slipping some into his bottle that one time he'd nearly choked her out. Since then the woman never made any more attempt, instead she just threaten to tell everyone what an abusive husband he was and how he needed to be drugged to function in bed.

One day he got caught red-handed, the wolfess had followed him on one of his weekend getaways and found him balls deep in another wolf. By then she'd threaten to out him if he so much as made a step out of line. The wolf countered with the drug charges, as well as dosing. They had shouted themselves hoard and ultimately came to a compromise, she'd go out sleeping with any male she wants discreetly and he'd get to do the same, to protect their shamble of a marriage while the fallout occurred in the background. Well one day she got fed up, found a nice enough guy and didn't want to continue the farce any longer. She of course got the house, he'd agreed to it if she kept her mouth shut.

He did take solace in the fact that the whore was such a size queen. He chuckled. No other wolf in town was gonna satisfy her the way he did. She's going to be pining over a faggot for the rest of her life, and those times were when he was micro-dosed on the aphrodesiac. He wondered how big he'd get now if he took the normal amount but then shook at the possibility of losing control again.

The paperwork was there. On the counter was a note with the message:

You're late. We're gonna have to do this tomorrow, ASAP. Don't be here when I get back, I'll be demanding more.

He frowned at that, looked to the time and guessed that the office must've been closed by now. Eagerly getting up the wolf left his old home and lumbered out, getting to his car and just as quickly, drove out to another corner of town, at the Tailend.

The drive there wasn't so bad, he'd only be a few street into the neighborhood. It was barely adjacent was what he reasoned to himself. The wolf drove up to a small one story building and plopped in, if he wanted to get wasted he'd go to the Den or maybe the Kennels if he was feeling desperate. He chuckled to himself at the thought. The first time the beat cop Hunter went there he saw a very familiar dog, a rottie by the name of Jackson. The wolf had thought about confronting him but somehow his nerves always got to him, he always showed up in plain clothes to spy on the dog, but his job made those meeting rare. He thought about maybe flirting with him but his indecision and anxiety got to him, this dog was from town and there is no way that wouldn't get out sooner or later. After he become Sheriff he just avoided the place altogether, the temptation would be too much.

Hunter got out his car, it always got looks from people – some of whom just run away or avoiding him with their tails tucked between their legs. He'd enjoy this more if he wasn't in such a sour mood. The wolf entered his tiny home and grumbled at the size of the place. It had two rooms and a bathroom, and his huge size just made sleeping uncomfortable so he had to move his futon into the living room. Instead he dump all his belongings into one of the rooms and his bedroom would be meant for guests. In another corner of the room were weights, the wolf had started back into it. Ditch the bitch and hit the gym right? Well that wasn't the only reason but it certainly helped. Besides his miserable new living condition he found a new lease on life. And thoughts of what could happen danced in his head.

The wolf groped his bulge, it great heavy and swollen from disuse. It'd been a few days, and he'd always been a heavy producer. Hunter growled as he unzipped his pants and took off his shirt. The lupine just was in his tighty whities. With a grunt and he went to his phone went through his history, there he found a clip of a human and began teasing his length from his sheath. It didn't take long for that fat meat to push out and he didn't waste anytime either. While it was still semi-hard he gripped it hard and began his usual breakneck pace, choking his meat and causing it to instantly get hard. He wondered if the human would be willing to try some of his kinkier things and imagine doing it to him.

The wolf was huffing and panting, he altered his pace and dropped it down to a slow then fast pace. The wolf's imagination turned more intimate, at how they'd meet. He'd imagine him and the human in an embrace, passionately exploring each other, re-discovering old sparks and maybe more. Their bodies wrapped together and breathing in each other's scent. Soon again though his thoughts got dark and he imagined what he did with his other partners to the human and it was both embarrassing and exciting. The wolf was indecisive on how he'd try to reignite their spark, maybe he'd go in slow and sensual and appeal to his heart.

Then he'd imagine just taking the man and sexually dominating him, ruin him for other men. So he'd always be what the man will compare others to. The wolf put the phone down, lost in his own imagination and gripping his cock with body hands and pumping it long and hard. He was fighting two equal and opposite sides but one side won out. It told him that being passionate or kind would get him nowhere, he tried being nice for his dad, for his mom, and where did that get him? He begged the human the last time didn't he? No if he came back he'd put that pup in his place he needed to be in control, that's how he'll know… and with a shuddering groan he shot a powerful and continuous load, it practically exploding out his slit and hitting everything in the room. Hunter groaned the shameful thoughts already leaving him body, as if the ejaculation were an exorcism his demons expunged for the time being. He started to whimper, afraid that there was just something inside him that's too damaged now, maybe it's too late for him. He looked to the room with his things and shuddered, then completely spent and exhausted, he drifted to sleep.

SATURDAY

Hunter woke up with a start, cum stains still splattering all over him, at least they were not on his clothes this time. The wolf frowned at the dried up semen all over his body, his load the previous night was prodigious so most of it was still congealing instead of dried. He grunted at little at the crushing parts and immediately wanted to clean himself up.

Quickly padding over the bathroom he got in and made sure the shower was warm. One of the bad things about this place was the low shower. It was practically claustrophobic. He swore the landlord was bullshitting him when they said this was the biggest room they had and it was built for anthros. He'd missed all the amenities of his old home, it's hard to know until you've missed it but his place was designed for taller wolves like his father and uncle.

His shower was also too small, it just didn't have the high pressure needed to get through a thick coat, he'd need to lather and soak it in for the water to get down the coat. With a sigh he turned on the water and blasted his body with lukewarm water. The task took way too long but it had to be done, it'd be too obvious to anyone with a nose what he did. He looked down at his body and groped his firm pecs, grunting as he pinched one of his hard nipples and trailed down until he felt his gut. The wolf frowned and deflated at his lost physique, it was hard work getting them back, enjoyable but still it was hard. He'd ballooned half way through his marriage, hoping to use it as an excuse to stop her advances, he thought working as a cop with odd hours would keep her off his back but apparently it only made her hornier. At first his flings liked his dad bod, a strong body but with a soft center. But then one of them laughed at him and he just couldn't deal with the ridicule. Going from muscle god to gruff yet approachable to downright porcine. He's still somewhere in the middle phase. Taking a deep breath he swallowed in his gut and vague abs started showing, he poked at them for a few more seconds before expelling his breath and they disappeared.

It took nearly half an hour of lathering and soaking for his fur to be completely rinsed, he really missed his old shower and the dryer ever more. Hunter just shook vigorously, splashing the water out of his fur and around the bathroom. It really sucks to have fur and no dryer system installed, it was a good thing the new gym had one built in though. The view he got didn't hurt either, seeing some of his fellow officers really got him going. Even damn Max and Greg, he grumbled at that thought. You can still hate someone and find them hot! He reasoned to himself, oh yes he'd even consider plowing that stupid mutt Kyle and teach him what a real alpha was. That pup was so small compared to his fellow lupines, only a few inches taller than the average human. Maybe he'd pin the mutt down and make him beg for forgiveness, for what he did to Chase and knot fuck him until the pup passes out. No he's paid enough penance, maybe, it's not his call to make. He moped about, going to dark places and drying himself off with the third towel now.

Hunter went to the living room still naked and damp and opened the windows and turned on the fan. He checked his phone while it was happened and frown at the message.

Are you here yet?

The wolf looked dumbly at the time, did she really expect him to get up at the ass crack of dawn? He decided to just be passive aggressive about it and took his time drying out. About 30 minutes later worth of text messages later he decided to respond.

Sorry I just woke up.

Unfuckingbelivable. Not all of us having nothing to do all day. Get your fat ass here or I'm also claiming your balls.

Hunter huffed at that and decided to get off his giant petulant butt, examining his toe nails as he got each foot into his work pants, he's decided to just go in damp and not care about her reaction. He got half-way in before realizing he forgot his underwear, he mumbled something while he dropped them down again, balls hanging in the air as he went to his drawer to fish out some underwear, he found some too small pairs and some other smaller ones until he got one that match his size. At least it was boxers this time, muttering under his breath about having to do laundry again as he got them nice and snug up to his waist. He looked down and swore as his confused the hole entrances, the one for his tail insead of his sheath. When we finally got done putting on his underwear and pants the door rang.

Finally!

The wolf lumbered to the door and was greet with a very familiar wolf-dog. He rested his arm to one wall and grumbled down to Kyle.

“You're late."

“S-sorry Alpha, I got your usual like you wanted!" The mutt was always half cowering half awe-struck whenever he was in Hunter's presence. It was irritating if not for the ego boost it always gave him. He eyed the smaller wolf, only a few inches past 6 feet – one of the smaller wolves in town, must be something from his dad's dog side. He'd hated the pup ever since that incident, but the look of admiration the mutt showed him when he outed Kyle was so galling. Apparently the damn wolf-dog did it impress him, he'd seen the way the Hunter always 'bullied' the human and was always conflicted, even sometimes playing the fool to stop them from going at the human.

But when the wolf spoke up for his adoption it was like a switch in his head went off. He'd had somehow gotten the alpha of his little pack's attention and it was the world to him. Hunter was everything he was not and wanted to be, if the mutt were gay he'd probably be begging to be bred like a bitch every day and night. He'd knew, he tried many times to 'test' him. Like right now with his fur damp that his muscles were showing and his massive biceps and triceps on display the mutt didn't even ogle at his package.

The adoption made the other wolves back off Kyle and ever since he'd try his best to appease the black wolf. Must be why the mutt even stuck around during his fat phase, when Max and Greg always just roasted him constantly. After that Kyle pretty much avoided Chase in school so he wouldn't draw attention to Hunter's group attention, even when the other wolves laughed and teased at him for smelling like the human. He never understood why the dumb dog cared so much about belonging, maybe if expectations weren't so high for him he'd just coast by instead of being forced to do useless extra-curricular for his uncle's sake. The wolf had been proud to get a B- average in high school, his head hurt during math but Kyle had helped and the other teachers didn't want their star quarterback to suffer so they always gave him time to make up or redo homework.

On the day that happened Kyle had apparently gotten the new from Hunter that he would finally be made an honorary member he was ecstatic, no one else knew yet. When they crossed paths he couldn't help feel a little cheeky at the human, but some underlying tension must be boiling because the kettle flew off the top. He didn't really know or really cared, he still hated the mutt. If Chase hadn't stopped him he might've pummeled Kyle like he did Max and Greg and he wasn't nearly as tough. Instead he just glowered at the wolf-dog as he eyed him in hero worship. It was confusing and irritating. As compensation he just made him his gopher, making him do the most menial tasks such as doing his laundry or completing his homework. Even now the mutt would get him his breakfast on his off days or clean his house or do his shopping for him.

The grumbled and muttered but the mutt didn't seem to care, by this point he just assumed it's the wolf's default behavior, like a lone alpha or some shit.

“I ain't the Alpha, stop calling me that."The rumbled, swiping the huge breakfast from Kyle's paws. The meal was made for a small human family but the wolf needed it if he wanted to bulk back up. It was nothing compared to how much he ate to fatten up. Grumbling he got a burger up and with one massive fang filled chomp devoured it.

“But you're going to run aren't you? I heard Alpha Brock is stepping down soon!" He said in excitement.

I'll laugh if he can step down. Hunter cackled darkly.

“Maybe, why? I'm not good enough as if?" You gonna ditch me too? You useless gopher.

“N-no you're just not living up to your potential."

That set him off. “I don't give a shit about living up to some goddamn potential!" He talk-shouted to the cowering mutt. He collected himself and just continued on as if nothing happened, some of the passerby were eying him and he shot them a loot that only an apex predator can give. They hurried off.

“Anyways I'll need you pick up my dry cleaning this afternoon, it's past three. The usual place."

“Oh uhmm s-sorry boss but I have to pass at that."

“Huh? Why?" He grumbled through another burger.

“I've got a date, well maybe it's date. More like a business meeting." The wolf-dog's tail wagged at that.

“Ain't that lovely." He thought what kind of person would date this beanpole but shrugged. The wolf suddenly remembered the funeral and decided to test Kyle. “Say there's a funeral today ain't there?" He munched a chicken leg, tearing it with ease through his powerful fang, the pup cowered at the sigh.

“Y-yeah." He collected his thought and tried to think of a diplomatic response. “Mabel, that's the cousin y'know, said I should probably not go. Said some of the guests might not like me there." His ears and tail drooped but still smiled sadly.

I'll bet not.

He shrugged. “Oh yeah, the kid who ran away huh? Closet case? Wasn't he your friend?" He teased a little.

“I uhm don't think so, not anymore."

“Not in contact?" He pondered hopefully, he tried to call the miserable human but he must've lost his phone or something. Tried with other phones and go no response. He though about trying his family but they must hate him, they did ran into each other on occasions but he didn't know what to make of the cousin. The grandma just frowned at him the same way she did at his uncle.

Maybe…

If Kyle's not going he should. Maybe pay respects as the sheriff, the old lady was a pillar of the community. The wolf wagged a little. He went when Chase's mother died, everyone did but couldn't sniff out the human. Maybe he'd go to this one, or he could off of the mongrel and hope the human would show up.

“Whatever, do it when you can." He grumbled through a mouthful of nuggets and fries.

“Ok boss!" The wolf-dog just wagged at that and ran away. Whatever dark thoughts he had vanished with that stupid face.

Sighing the wolf went back inside, put on a spare shirt and proceeded to his car. All the while munching on his free food. He'd change into something casual after the funeral and thought about the day's plans, he wondered if the fox needed warm up this time to handle him and his tail wagged harder, it had been a while and the kit was always screamer.

Hunter didn't take much longer to get going in his cruiser, he'd have to change cars after too. The last time he had zoned out he nearly drove into a fling's place in his sheriff's outfit and had to waste the day going back. He just bullshitted something about keeping them needy and just spent that weekend watching tv sitting on his ass. Now he carries spare plain clothes in his trunk.

The traffic today was pretty light, it was still morning after all. He drove to his destination in under fifteen minutes and saw his nightmare in flesh. Sarah. The wolfess was sitting at a nearby coffee table talking animatedly to someone on the phone, then froze when she saw him.

“I'll have to call you back babe… mhmm yea love you too."

“Morning ice queen."

“Morning cuck."

“I'm no-"

“Technically you are-"

“Yeah well you're like a reverse-cuck, a-a pecked hen."

“Not a thing, and last I checked you weren't diving in pussy." She smacked her lips at the last word, dripping with scorn.

He shrugged. “I was in yours wasn't I?" He grinned savage then fisted his bulge at her face just to taunt her. “Think your new boy-toy can match me down there?"

She stared him for a moment before deflecting.

“W-we're late, I had to book us early. Did you find him?" She went up the narrow stairs of the three floor building.

“What? No, I thought he was with you." The lumbering wolf shrugged.

“Fine whatever, not like you ever cared."

“I did, until I found out-"

“Ugh keep believing what you will, let's get on with this."

The two went up the stairs of the narrow building. Past the first floor they heard some shuffling and tapping, the dance studio sign hung invitingly to the disgruntled couple. They just stared daggers at it while going up the second flight of stairs, walking in complete silence the entire way until they stopped at the door.

The behemoth of a wolf was hunched the entire time, almost used to it at this point. He'd make a passable werewolf if he stretched out his heels more and manicured his claws. He knocked on the door and before not long an ancient Schnauzer with a fuzzy beard and heavy furred brow peered out.

“Ah well if it isn't my favorite two kids."

“Hi Mr. Jasper." The two intoned reflexively. The old pooch went back and gestured them to follow.

“The first time I heard you two were dating I've known you were going to get married, why my daughter thought you both had a will they/won't they going on. Mmm such a shame, the town will have a field day when they hear about this- not from me of course, ah to barely lasted a decade. “

“It was more out of responsibility than anything." He muttered the words quietly, he did say he'd be more responsible didn't he?

“Maybe I can set you up with this nice human girl from across town, her mother's a friend of mine. Oh but of course your pack can be a stickler for dating outside the species."

Yes on the human no on the gender.

“You know my marriage is still going strong, heh 60 years this coming June! Why me and my Suzy still even get our..." Hunter tuned out whatever invasive thoughts he had at the image of old people getting it on.

“Ah oh yes, please let's finish this quickly. I have a wake to attend to." The Schnauzer gingerly took his time arranging his desk.

Oh shit's its happening now? He'd hope to scout out ahead but if they're just doing this already…

“Yeah let's uh hurry this up." He might give the old dog a lift if he played ball.

“Hold your horses, we've got a lot of things to go through. Sarah where's your representative?"

“He'll be by shortly, I just texted him on the way up." She smirked smugly.

Hunter just growled at that, why'd she wait and not be ready. Annoying power moves, but then he does it too. All the wolves are like that, one time there was a four way showdown at a local restaurant when the wolves offered to pay for the whole meal and a brawl ensued when they couldn't agree on who it would be.

Behind him he could hear a loud clatter of foot steps quickly going up the stairs. They were panting heavily but then quickly reoriented themselves, tidied their clothes and in comes a much younger lawyer. Hunter always growled that one, the wolf just oozed charisma. Not his dark broody kind but the handsome young professional kind.

The white wolf had gold hair and just gave him a friendly smile. He grunted at the wolf and growled.

“Oh hi there, I hope I'm not late!"

“No not at all we were just getting started actually." The Schnauzer answered.

“Good good, I hope to make this divorce proceeding as amicable as possible."

“What's there to discuss." Hunter growled, they'd already done the dance a dozen times. She'd practically taken everything valuable! “We're close to finalizing, there's only one detail remaining!"

She seemed to realized he was in a hurry and decided to goad him on.

“Non-sense, Alden please let's review what I get to keep."

The wolf just eagerly wagged his tail and handed the documents to all necessary parties. While he was dictating Hunter just glared at his soon to be ex-wife. Then at the wolf, who looking at him now Hunter decided he wasn't bad looking. The first time they'd met wolf just shook his hand, not knowing at all the proper protocol to greet each other. It involved the two sniffing each other on the necks on and baring teeth. The wolf just looked at him funny then swatted his face, since then the lawyer rubbed him the wrong way. He said he'd come to Riverton to get away from the city life to be somewhere quiet and start out a practice there. The wolf had no idea what a lawyer would be doing this remote but it wasn't anything good.

“And Mrs. Flint gets the set of china along with their accompanying..."

He'd heard this a thousand times already and was stating to fall asleep when.

“Also she gets the comic collection."

“What? You don't even like those!" He was indignant.

“And what are you going to do with it? I've never seen you touching them."

“They're collectibles! You collect them! The set's like three thousand!"

“You should sell those off, I don't know what's so special about them. Could've at least given them to someone who would read them."

“You wouldn't understand" You coldhearted bitch!

“Give me those and we'll finalize right now. Don't forget the original edition Chaos Agency books." She just smirked at him.

He growled at her.

“Fine.." The wolf muttered through gritted teeth.

They went through several other things both crucial and inane, including that one sore spot between the two, the one neither wanted and are still confirmation waiting on.

The process took way too long but when it was done he felt like a weight was lifted off his shoulders. Their little hang up aside it will all soon be over.

The Schnauzer just looked at the married couple and sighed. Young people these days just have no patience.

Hunter got up and left before everything was done, he was no longer needed and the two lawyers just chatted amiably while Sarah glared at him, preparing to leave as well. He just gave her the finger and bolted, hoping he hadn't missed it.

The drive to the wake took 20 minutes, he'd been to the grandmother's house before but it was never this packed tight. There were a lot of old people hanging around, most of them humans. He stood out like a sore thumb, his heightened smell allowed him to smell all the chemicals used in the embalming process and he visibly gagged.

Human rituals are so much more complicated than wolves, but them being the dominant species just meant other furs started adopting their strange customs. The Riverton pack still did things the old way, but even they weren't immune from change. The wolf once again had to stay hunched the entire time he was at the wake, while he might be intimidating his uniform did earn him some level of respect and trust.

Hunter wandered around the place, seeing some familiar faces from the community center and chatted with them, all the while trying to look into the crowd for a familiar face. He was so far very disappointed. The wolf spent half an hour before he decided to approach the young lady standing in the corner conversing with a familiar middle aged fox.

“Again really sorry for your loss Mabel, your grandmother taught half the people in town, it's a shame to see her go." The mayor consoled the woman, who seemed to be holding it in together. He turned to leave and saw Hunter.

“Ah, why hello there Sheriff. It's good to see you again boy." The fox greeted him heartily.

“It's good to see you too Mr. Bartleby." He internally stared daggers at the fox, the reason the wolf pack lost almost half their lands. The fight had been contentious but in the end they had settled on selling the land at a fraction of its value in exchange for it going to preservation rather than selling it for drilling rights. At least all that chaos gave his uncle so much stress he'd overeat. The legal hoops his uncle had to go through gave him so much free time to be with his human.

“Hm you're getting along well enough I supposed, shame about what happened. It's a good thing you got appointed to under-sheriff - eh how long of your uncle's term do you have left?"

“Uh a few more months." He shrugged.

“Already? Seems like yesterday that you get promoted. Oh the time flies. Do you plan on running? I know you're young but people trust you as much a they do your uncle!"

If only they knew.

“I uhm don't know. Thanks for the compliment, hey excuse me. I need to pay my respects."

“Ah of course, I'll be on my way, all this new attention is making my life so much busier." The little fox scrambled out, leaving a trail of dust in his wake.

He walked up behind the young woman, quiet as a stalker even if it was unintentional. Mabel only noticed when the wolf started to breath on her. She looked at him, not even perturbed by the suddenly loom figure. If anything she looked pleasantly surprised.

“Oh hello there sheriff, it's been a while since we've last met."

“Hello miss, I've come to pay my respects on behalf of my uncle."

“Oh? Don't come for your own reasons?" She eyed him speculatively.

“I uh-"

“Say, what's your moon?"

“My what?"

“Do you like October?"

“It's a fine enough season."

“What about full moons?"

“What about them?"

“Do you like them?"

“I like them enough."

“Got any plans today or tomorrow?"

You mean besides railing a tiny fox until I chafe?

“No."

“Any geological events on pack land recently?"

“Uhm that's none of your business."

“If you want to know about a certain human you will."

“Uhm wha."

She shrugged.

“I don't think I need to spell it out, you're curious. You're not as clever and you'd like to believe."

“Wha I don't know what you're talking about."

She rolled her eyes. “Oh please, Chase complains about you all day and night but not once did he cry or cower at your mentioning. Like I'd believe the one guy he blabs on about all dreamily suddenly having his stolen his jockstrap and-"

The wolf loomed in, gingerly gripped her up like a toy and moved them til they were far away from everyone else. Mabel didn't even seem nonplussed.

“Uh please don't say that out loud."

“Why? Is it true?"

“That's none of your business." He hissed.

“Oh alright then, I won't ask, but then I'm not gonna tell you anything either. Say what's your claw size?" She took out a measuring tape out of nowhere and poke at his claw. He is suddenly reminded of a female version of Kyle, but more weird and less clingy. The crowd of people were slowly moving, getting ready for the funeral.

“Chase always said you were strange."

“Ah so you do know him."

“Ah-"

“No it's fine, I'm glad really. I suspected but feelings are hard to go by alone. It's good you protected him during school, even if you don't have the balls to do it in the open.

He glared at her as she plucked out of his hair. He tried to swat her away but she'd already retreated. Growling at the young lady he just mumbled.

“It's not always black and white. And I'm not admitting nothing."

She shrugged. “Okay."

“Okay?"

“Yeah you need anything else? My grandma's already move to the cemetery. You are here to pay respects right?"

He thought about admitting to it but years of denial isn't easy to overcome. “Y-yeah I'll go pay my respects." He mumbled, trudging to follow the dwindling crowd.

“Don't know if he'll come back." She shrugged, he stopped. “I sent for him last time, when she died but he never responded."

His tail wagged a little, maybe there's hope. “Y-you know where he lives?"

“Don't you? I know you read the books, maybe watch the show." She quirked an eyebrow at him.

“Well I don't." I checked. He's a ghost!

“That's too bad." She fumbled around herself and sighed. “Shoot, I think I forgot my eulogy." She gave him a look. “Can you take my place as the pallbearer? The travel shouldn't take that long.

“Why would I do that?" He growled. He thought about doing it for Chase but she caught him in a petulant mood.

“Well maybe if he finds out you did a nice thing he'd like you more. You did say you were coming to pay respects weren't you?"

“Y-yeah..." He really wanted to be balls deep in a fuck toy, this diversion was taking too long.

“I'll give you his number."

His tail immediately started wagging.

“Y-you have his number?"

“Oh yeah, he switched plan."

Hunter growled internally.

He also blocked me!

“Yeah but he doesn't really answer stranger's phone calls. You could try text."

The wolf wagged excitedly, maybe he'll be here after all!

“I'll do it!"

“Good." She wrote something down and handed it to him. “Now go, I'll be grabbing my things from my home."

“This home?" He gestured at the grandmother's place, it was oddly empty, then again the furnitures had to be moved for the wake.

“No I mean my home. It used to belong to auntie and him."

“What? You're living there now!?"

“Oh yeah, the place was an absolute mess when I got there. But some mutt helped me around, even painted the walls and fixed some holes." She grinned at that.

Hunter didn't know what to make of that, he just went to writing the number down of his phone. He hesitated to call, but then the young lady swatted him in a very similar way another human did.

“You can chat later, help carry my grandmother to her final resting place." She growled.

“Y-yea sorry." The wolf loped out and got in position, the others, the more younger middle aged people already there. They just gaped at the massive wolf out of place in his sheriff's uniform amidst a sea of black. He smiled sheepishly as he took his place at the front. He saw the woman run towards a familiar house and he almost wanted to follow. He'd always snuck in there with Chase, his mother almost never around. They'd fool around and confess their love for each other, it seemed almost silly two teenagers acting like they knew what the word meant but they did it all the same.

All the way while he walking he reminisced of their encounters. That time he got the courage to talk to the human at the end of middle school, how he'd always see the lone boy brush off everything thrown at him and acting like nothing got to him. He wondered if he could be like that. He'd heard of the wolf boy, most of the time from his uncle idly mentioning him in passing whenever he had to deal with the mother. He certainly had the eye for it, most of the time it looked brown, but when he gave that defiant look and glared at his bullies they'd shine amber gold like a feral wolf's.

Hunter woke from his reverie when he realized he was at his destination. Everyone was gathered except Mabel, he didn't know how long had passed but now that he was free the wolf immediately got to his phone. He eyed the number he was given and shakily hovered on the call button. He frozen, and panicked.

What is he thinking? It's been over a decade, what's he gonna do. Talk to his first and only love like the man didn't move on? That he'd be pining over the needy pup instead of meeting some hot actor the literal sea of attracting people he'd find in the city. Not to mention his own baggage. He shook and rejection floored him, but then he remembered their farewell and he just had to make sure. If he still felt the same way then.

Hunter steeled himself, dialed the phone. Waited a short eternity, and the only thing to respond to him was the out of service line.

He nearly smashed his phone. Did the stupid bitch lie to him? No, no, maybe not. He'll try again later, today was starting to turn into a really frustrating day. Then his phone rang this time and he almost reflexively picked it up.

“Ch- uh Hello?"

“Hunter you busy? It's Jonas."

“Hm uh hey J what's up" Nothing if I can help it.

“Yeah I think we got vandalizes at Alex's place. You think you could come take a look?"

He thought about his free day, and pondered getting Max and Greg to take this. But somehow the thought of his old friends interacting with his new did not sit well with him. He left out a sigh-

“I think it's those kids." That got his ear perking.

Goddammit if it's them then. He huffed.

“I'll be on my way."

The wolf excused himself quietly from the gathering and ran to his cruiser at the grandmother's place. His powerful stride and muscle memory from being a quarterback and his time doing pack activity in the park kicking in instantly. The wolf moved like a blur, and while gunning it the way there he noticed Mabel trying to get his attention. He was in a hurry though and slid into his car with practiced efficiency. Not wanting to waste any time he decided he'd cheat and use his siren. He still hated that delay, should really get it fixed one day and floored it. On the way back to the hotel, he spotted a very familiar house while turning the corner. He stood there frozen in time, wondering if he should take a peak inside when he remembered its not the human's house anymore. With a huff he put his foot to the metal and exited onto the main road.

He really didn't want to miss his weekend fun.

The drive to the hotel was frustratingly slow, somehow traffic came out at just the wrong, he ran into a familiar figure on his way there, a deer fur hauling several bag fulls of grocery. He recognize the man as the owner of that new diner. He grunted, too many city folks coming in now. On one hand they bring revenue and easy lay, on the other hand they always find a way to inconvenience him. Even with his horns going off, the people in town don't seem all that perturbed, waving at him while they slowly got out of the way. He waved back before gunning it, tails twitching. He did not want to deal with this on his day off!

The turn to the hotel brought him in view with a haul truck parked outside. The familiar vehicle was situated outside the hotel proper, not in the usual parking space and was empty.

Hunter got out of his cruiser, looked back at the mess of food still in his car and grumpily picked them up, he dropped a few in his scooping arms, depositing them at the trash can. He sniffed himself, long dried out since the morning and wondered if he could get more food at the hotel. His diet meant he would eat big meals every few hours and the divorce proceedings tuckered him out. He saw the annex building, still framed by scaffolding, looking mostly done.

The annex was bigger than the main building, instead of wood and brick and a cozy look – it looked more modern, the building was all white and sleek. Clues of a roofed walkway connecting the two buildings are still being worked on. More signs of the changing times, he'd remember the hotel. One of his first forays into hook ups after Chase left was meeting strangers at the place, before Alex was the owner. Apparently after that botched kitchen incident at prom night his dad made him get a real job or he'd disown the stupid pup. The teenager chose the laziest job he could find and went to work at the motel. He'd always sleep on the job, high as a kite and probably made it the best place for seedy individuals to hook up.

When he went in he nearly froze at the sight of his classmate at the counter snoozing. His date was a cat, the tabby had visited the town and saw him working out. He knew the look, that hunger that Chase used to give when he thinks the wolf wasn't looking and grinned. It was a shame his first time knotting someone wasn't the human but at the same time also glad. He had been pent up for a long time, holding out hope Chase would return. Didn't try anything till the end of senior year, he'd even had another growth spurt.

The tabby was older, but looked so tiny it stirred his dominant instincts. When he knotted the kitty the feline let out a yowl that shook the inn. Hunter was so lost in pleasure and kept pounding the tabby, to shut him up he covered the cats mouth and growled at him to be quiet. That only made the smaller male drool into his hand and cum hard, loving the feeling of being manhandled. Hunter had never done that to Chase before, aggressive as he was and it opened up a new world of possibility for him. He'd been so afraid to try again at the hotel since then, it was still close to town and he didn't want to risk being recognized.

So many changes in such a short time. He sighed at the irony, the wolves wanted to keep Riverton to themselves and their choke-hold on the place slowly killed the town. Now that they gave away part of their land (unwillingly) there is almost a second revival, more and more tourists coming each year – most of whom do it at the vacationing season. He growled at the pack's loss of their lake, it had been a sore point, the body of water was crystal clear and had many cultural implications. Not liking the idea of tourists littering in that lake, the pack had several caveats added to the deal including profits from all commercial ventures and exclusive rights to fishing and several other addendums.

The wolf heard voices coming from the annex and went inside. He was greeted with the sight of two familiar dog anthros, a german shepherd and a pitbull. The shepherd was very fit, just all around in great condition and was a little over 6 and a half feet tall, some might consider him handsome. The pitbull on the other hand was almost 7 feet tall, and while shorter than Hunter was almost just as wide if not bigger, their arms are pretty similar in size. If someone had to guess who the bouncer was they'd confused the two. Hunter instinctively wanted to flex a little just to compensate.

“Yo Hunter, how's it going." The shepherd got an arm out to shake the wolf.

“Hey, not bad not bad." He lied taking the smaller dogs arm and clasping them tightly. He then turned to the pitbull and greeted him as well. “Hello Cass." He wasn't as familiar with the pitbull but they were fellow competitor and neither went into the embrace half ass.

“What's up Sheriff, you keep up on your workout?" Their hands grip one another, solid shake and both flexing all out. They locked eyes, trying to out do one another's vice like grip.

“Yeah..." He grunted. “You're not so bad either, you added to your weights again?"

“Yep.. another 10 kilo to my max." He grunted.

Before either could continue their dick measuring contest the shepherd coughed and jabbed both in the kidney with frightening dexterity and both had to stop.

“Anyways… thanks for coming. You think you know who did this?" He gestured to several graffiti inside the building. Some of those were badly drawn caricatures, others looked like signatures but very illegible. Hunter did see one cartoon of a black wolf with X's on its eyes. He frowned at that one, then eying the littered food on the ground. He sniffed the air, there were signs of who the culprits were faintly but also the smell of air freshener. Those kids are getting smarter, but not by much.

“Yeap. Is this all they did?"

“They also trashed the garbage can, I think some scaffolding also fell."

That just got the wolf riled up even more.

“Sorry it happened."

“I think you should be telling that to Alex." The shepherd shrugged.

“He'll be fine, it's a small setback at most." The pitbull muttered, he fished out a jerky out of nowhere and started to eat it.

“Still, it's the least I could do."

“You've been busy lately, s'all."

“I'll go find them, maybe throw them in jail for a night." He growled, he could've just pointed out the scent they left behind but any evidence related to scent is nigh impossible to be used as evidence in court. Half the population can't smell much better than humans, and most of them are in the judicial branch. The rare canine or elephant judge refuses to use it for fear of playing favorites.

The wolf sniffed around, observed the shoe prints and saw a window opened up the second floor. He huffed, closing it and latching it shut. That certainly brought back some old memories. The wolf padded around some more before returning to the first floor, telling the two he was done and thanking them for keeping it to just him. He'd rather not involve other cops.

Hunter went back outside and into the main building, where an excitable chocolate lab was chatting with his friend.

“Oh yeah, you coming with us tomorrow Aster? We're gonna go to the lake!" His tail always gave away his emotion. A very large paw touched his back and the dog nearly yelped.

“Mornin' Alex." The wolf smiled.

“Oh god G-good morning Sheriff." The dog breathed out, panting in fright, the caller of the other hand sounded worried and starting going into a diatribe about something or another.

“I'll call you back later, gotta go bye!" Alex spoke quickly, pocketed his phone and looked up at the much larger male, as if trying to discern something about him.

“What?" He growled.

“N-nothing. Thank you for coming here but I really uh didn't need to assistance, Jonas was insistent but really this is unnecessary. We can get the police to handle this, no need for the sheriff to get involved." The dog seemed dead set on avoiding him in the matter and he didn't understand why. But he'd rather he be the one to deal with this than the cops.

“I'm good." He squinted his eyes, Alex was always a bit hyperactive and easily frightened but this seemed a bit excessive. Maybe he's doing drugs again? Then he remembered the cameras.

“Hey Alex do you have the camera to the hotel outside?"

“Huh? Oh uhm sorry they- they uh haven't been installed yet. I was gonna do that today." The pup said nervously.

Goddammit, do I have to check everywhere? Grimacing at having to look at so many places.

“Alright, I'll go check things out then. Again sorry for the mess they made."

“I-it's alright, not like you did it or anything."

Hunter waved without looking back, too busy to noticed the nervous dog.

The wolf bade his goodbyes to the two dogs as well and got back in his car. Deciding to be more less conspicuous the lupine took the long way around. He drove around to their usual haunts, including his former middle school, the local playgrounds, one of their backyards, the arcade, even the community center. Growling with each and every drive, this was taking too much of his day. This was worse than yesterday! To top it off he'd been stuck a few times hiding from the rain in his car while waiting for it to fizzle and continue hi search. He'd have to cancel his fuck session today. The wolf got out his phone and texted to his 'date'.

I'm not coming today.

The response was almost instant.

Master? Have I been a bad boy? Please come! I've prepared everything just as you've instructed!

Not comings mean not coming, anymore back talk and I'll make make it a month.

The frantic typing immediately stop, the person took several seconds before finally responding with.

Yes sir.

The phone was silent for a while as the lupine drove. Then three dot appeared again.

I love you master.

He chose not to respond to that. Sometimes people get too clingy, and he was not in the mood or time for romance. He'd only been with that fox twice since he lost weight and already the kit's feeling love struck. Life was too hectic as it was... Then Hunter's tail started wagging a bit. Maybe if it's someone he really likes. The wolf thought.

He was gonna have to dump that one though.

Running out of options as last, the big wolf chose instead to head back to hotel. Journeying back he felt his stomach rumbling in hunger. Hunter eyed the time, it was already past 1. With a sigh of defeat the wolf decided to grab something to eat. He was pick up a sweat from all the running around. The wolf saw the Hopper's diner and suddenly remembered the deer from earlier in the day. Might as well.

The wolf walked in just in time to find some very familiar kids hiding in a corner booth chatting away and playing on their phone.

“About time you got back Kevin, where'd you go anyways? How long did your parents keep you?" One wolf muttered.

“Sorry guys, some stupid funeral. It's over now." The mixed sniffled.

“We got any other plans today?"

“Maybe we should sell some of the stuff we found." The most familiar little shit said.

“What stuff?" The eager mixed asked.

“Yeah.. what stuff?" The giant wolf asked, towering over the four little boys.

Mason tried not to look scared shitless, while the other three boys looked absolutely mortified.

“H-hi d-da- uhm-"

“I'm not your anything kid." He growled, at least not yet.

The pup drooped his ears a little sad, then just turned away glowering a hint of defiance showing.

The massive wolf plopped into the booth, they were all around 5 feet tall, a bit taller than the average human that age. Though the youngest Mason was already the leader of the group. Hunter grumbled at them darkly. The kids were wearing loose clothes, Felix had a sling aroud his shoulders while Danny had a backpack.

“We need to talk about your vandalism problem."

“Why do you care?" The pre-teen growled.

“Cuz it looks bad on me, and your parents." He gestured to the others. He glared at the other wolf, Danny who just folded inward. “I don't want to look like I'm playing favorites."

“Is image all you care about? Consider what's about to hap-" Mason stopped when Hunter slammed the table. The pup averted his gaze.

“We're talking about you. You weren't at home yesterday."

“Didn't think you'd notice or care."

“Not until you're no longer my problem." He growled. The pup tried not to look hurt but failed.

A doe waitress came up, looking smugly at the deflated group and almost grinned at Hunter but then remembered something and just dropped it.

“What can I get fer you Sheriff?" The doe, Clara asked.

He exhaled, suddenly remembering how hungry he was. If he was gonna punish these twerps he'd make them wait uncomfortably long.

“I'll have three of the lunch specials, one daily special, three toasts 'n rise, a family meal, six cheeseburgers, two pancake specials, and..." He glared at the sullen pup and almost felt bad. Almost. “You kids ate yet?"

“They did… earlier." Clara shot them a dirty look. “Then they came back an hour ago tracking mud of the floor and ordering water.

“Kid's special for the four."

“Can we get sundae?" Danny asked.

“I think you kids are forgetting you're being punished." The wolf glowered. That shut them up.

The wait for lunch was painfully awkward for the children, they tried to shy away from the big wolf who was nearly three feet taller and several hundred pounds of glowering muscle and fur heavier than them.

“You're lucky I'm the one who's here, I'm not on my shift." He finally said as his first plate of food arrived. The others just watch those giant fangs bite into flesh and bone with ease, faux blood in the form of ketchup slathering the glutton's maw. He spoke through jawfuls of food. He'd need to hit the gym for an two or three hours to work off his frustration, and it was supposed to be his rest day!

The doe just took in the scene with schadenfreude, delighting in their misery. Hunter liked that about her, they're both a bit sadistic – okay maybe he was a tiny bit more. He burped a loud belch the made the bobcat jump up.

“Sorry about that." That one surprised even him. “Uhm anyway, if you met any of the sticklers like Max and Greg they'd throw you into jail just for the fun of it."

“We-we didn't do anything wrong." Kevin the nervous wreck sniffled. The thought of jail nearly made the pup wet his pants. “Guy's tell them I wasn't a part of it!" He whimpered.

“Was looking around town for you twerps, where'd ya'll go?"

“N-nowhere, just stuck around for a bit. Got into the diner when it started to rain and stayed in til you came in."

“Is that true?" The alpha swallowed a burger whole and stared at the weakest link. Kevin just looked on the verge of crying.

“Leave him alone!" Mason growled, intervening before the mix could tattle.

“Ugh I don't care, you're going to the hotel beg and crawl on your knees for forgiveness and work at the hotel until you've paid back everything you vanadalized." He growled.

“Y-you don't have proof!" The stupid kid rebutted.

“I smelled you there." He grumbled, the wolf always had a better sense of smell than others.

“That's not proof!" Mason shouted in triumph. “You can't entered that as evidence, I can just as easily say I smelled you there!" He huffed.

“I'm the Sheriff, my word is evidence enough!"

“Not for long..." The pup muttered.

“Don't think I can't win." He growled. “Youngest sheriff in town history has a nice ring to it." His tail wagged at that.

“Old fart..." Mason whispered.

“Can't wait to get rid of you." He answered petulantly, in some way the big wolf never did grow up.

For the first time Mason was on the verge of crying. Thankfully Clara came to the rescue, apparently realizing it had gone too far. She shoved the plates to the kids and thwacked the sheriff on the back of his head.

“Don't do that." He glowered.

“God you're a worse dad than mine is." The girl huffed. “And that's saying something, he brought me to the back end of nowhere!"

“Humph! He shovedanother cheeseburger into his maw, it looked violent. He makes Cass look like a saint when he eats. The other kids were eagerly picking at their food, eager to avoid the drama. Mason recovered enough to look more petulant that somber and devour his lunch with eager gusto.

“You're all coming with me after we're done. With any luck there won't be any charges pressed." He knew Alex probably wouldn't but image is important, and reputation is currency in a town this small. Sarah is a loose end but she can be managed. If worse comes to worse it'll be a he said she said. And everyone knew what a stud he was back in school, he fucked half the girls. He was meticulous in hiding everything, never made the same mistake twice.

Would the town trust a former non-pack wolfess or the nephew of the alpha and pillar of the community? If she tried, he'd destroy her, and just to spite her he'd expel her from the pack then spread some rumor about how she'd slept around. Oh she thought he was doing nothing when they agreed to their compromise? Oh no he'd follow her a few times, recorded her indiscretions too. He could play the faithful husband to a tee, his uncle taught him well. Maybe plant drugs on her then order a drug raid while she's banging her latest boytoy.

Something in his face must've shown because the kids all nodded vigorously.

“Gooood..." He munched the last of his meal and finished his third soda. Got up and dropped a wad of cash, sometimes having a gopher really cut down on living expenses. He decided to tip barely the adequate amount, which for him to the doe was a big middle finger. Still a petulant pup at heart, an overgrown, dangerous, calculating puppy. The other boys didn't hesitate, they dropped what they didn't finish, grabbing their bottles and followed like lemmings with him to his car. The few minutes spent in the backseat of the cruiser made the kids fear for their lives, Mason was chatting with them though trying to rally morale. Hunter was not having that and banged the partition. They all jumped and dispersed. This day completely sucks ass.

Hunter parked his cruiser in front of the hotel, the children in tow. Single file like little prisoners, he marched them inside. He wondered if Cass and Jonas were already gone, off to their weekend fun. He thought about what he'd do tomorrow, it was a special day after all. Happens only once every few years, he'd always make it a special occasion to just be alone away from the rest of the world.

Once inside the familiar abode he could see the excitable lab carrying some laundry while one of his staff went upstairs to clean. Alex noticed the Sheriff, did a double take and tried to remain calm again.

“W-what's going on Sheriff?" He spluttered.

“Just bringing in the kids, making them apologize. They'll be here on the weekends and after all, maybe through the summer-"

“Oh come on!"

“Nooo..."

“Why!?"

The cacophony of misery rang through the lobby and several faces turned to them, including some guests and another staff. He shook them gently and motion for the labrador to use their break room. The lab just relented, figuring it was not worth fighting it. They filed single-handedly to the room and to Hunter's surprise several camera feeds were going on.

“Huh you got them working already?"

“Ohh uhm y-yeah!" They stood around awkwardly until the lab just spluttered out. “L-let me get us some refreshments. I'm sure the lunch meals are done." His tail was still and raised as he walked out.

“Now I want you boys on your best behavior. Got it?" They tried not to say anything in acknowledgement so while waiting in silence he tried to coax them to talk.

“Hey what are you guys planning to do over the summer?" They said nothing.

He huffed, thinking back he tried another tactic. “What were you guys planning on selling anyways? That sounded awfully suspicious." He narrowed his eyes, the kids froze up.

“N-nothing." Kevin reflexively squeaked.

Once again he zoned in on the weakest link, before Mason could speak he closed his hand around the pups muzzle and stared at the mixed with predatory intensity.

“O-oh god please don't kill me w-we found something by the shortcut and we thought maybe it's worth something please don't oh god oh god!"

That sent a shiver down his back.

“What.. did.. you.. find." He hissed.

“It-it was a box!" The boy blurted, Mason all the while trying to claw at his arm.

Shit, did they find the stash!?

The wolf eyed Danny's backpack and zoomed in on him. His claws a blur as he swiped the backpack off the boy. With trembling arms he pried it open to find a familiar tin cookie box. The giant tore the lid open to find the stash of drugs he squirreled away as well as various jewellery, baubles, and trinket that weren't much.

“How'd you find it." He growled darkly.

“We-we didn't." The bobcat tried to defend them.

“You lie again and jail might be the least of your problem." The wolf spoke deathly quiet, the others around him paralyzed in fear. He cornered the mixed again but this time the pup was too scared to even talk. He turned to Danny but he hid behind Mason so he just growled at all of them.

“How'd you find it?"

“We-we didn't. Someone just showed us the shortcut and we got curious around the statue. Thought we'd make it our new hiding spot. W-was gonna make a mark on the statue when we saw it. And then we..."

Hunter blanked out, someone? “Who?" He said.

“A-a human, said his name was Casey."

Just in time for the labrador to walk in. The name triggered something in him and the dog looked guilty as hell. Hunter focused on the lab, mind running a thousand miles a minute. The shady tourist with a masked scent, going to his spot that no one else- except maybe Alex would know. Alex the former drug head. Did the pup start dealing again? Found his stash and was using the human as a front man? The possibilities were endless.

“You..." He was getting good and giving murderous looks. Whatever the pup thinks he saw, he ain't see nothing yet. “Who's this guy?"

“I-I don't know?" He dog blubbered.

The wolf closed in on him and muttered. “I can have this hotel shut down forever you know. Are you doing drug's again? How do you know him?" His menacing aura loomed far and wide, permeating the room like a suffocating miasma.

“Oh god I don't know." He squeaked on the verge of tears. “He just said to not tell you he was ever here." He cried. The wolf got a choking grip around him now, no one messes with his things, especially not the that box. “You better start spilling the beans or I'm gonna put you away for trafficking, child endangerment, possession." Sure they were his, but they didn't know that.

“Wha? I don't do that anymore… please..." He cried a little, maybe peed his pants.

“You better give me something I can use soon-"

“I-I think I have him on video, p-please stop you're scaring me!" Whimpering between sobs the lab spoke.

“So you're lying about that too? I think I'm gonna start having to pay you more visits Alex." He growled at the terrified lab, who scrambled to the feed and replayed back the videos.

The dog was too scared to talk he just frantically pressed the buttons. Some part of Hunter's mind is screaming at him to keep his composure, this is not how you maintain your image! The other part said he deserved it, exposing kids to drug and taking-

The wolf stared at the screen, the image of a very familiar man in the parking lot. He'd seen him on TV multiple times, he'd probably known who it was the moment the man started talking, he wasn't sure until then but he knew that voice no matter how long they'd been apart. The wigs hid his hair but those eyes no matter what color they were couldn't hide that defiant look he always gave. The man on camera looked around the parking lot towards the shortcut, then walked around so his face was in full view while he looked at the graffiti on the annex off screen. He smiled with an arm wrapped around some plastic wrapped suit and walked out.

“Chase..." He whispered so softly no one else heard him.

He'd known about him the moment he watched his favorite show, he knew everything about every actor on the show. The moment the man popped up he suspected, but it took a few episodes to get his measure. He was definitely positive Casey is Chase. That had been what started his recovery, he'd grown so fat and lazy drowning in misery. But when he saw his human he secretly hoped he'd work on himself, to be worthy of him. Maybe then he wouldn't leave, the wolf had fantasized a dozen ways they'd meet. He'd have to lose all that weight, he can't look bad for his human. That would reflect poorly on him. No they'd have some whirlwind romance, to rekindle old flames and run away. Away from it all or maybe fix his sad excuse for a life and just be there again.

The wolf had thought of how they'd meet again and it gave him the courage to go on. He'd even help make the town a place worth coming back to, just in the hope it would somehow get out to him. There were also times he had moments of jealousy, the human had left him off to better pastures and one drunk night he got even. Had asked a certain collie for his editing privileges just to be petty. Hunter hoped he would be at his grandmother's funeral and yet somehow he wasn't there. But he's on camera so he must've- is he there now? No the funeral is over so he should be.. trying to leave. To escape again and disappear from this world, maybe for good this time. But no he must still have his things at the hotel, he'll have to ask Alex. The wolf would wait and ambush him here. Once again dozens of possibilities ran in the big wolf's head. Maybe this wasn't such a bad day after all.

He must've been looking dumbfounded at the screen for what felt like minutes because the next thing he knew Danny had kicked him in the balls. The small wolf made a grunt at the effort.

The wolf doubled over groaning and grabbing his crotch as they pilfered the box and ran like hell out the door. Alex just stood there dumbfounded and scared, thinking Casey was right to not tell the crazy wolf.

The wolf just stood there shell shocked and in pain, Alex just frozen there too afraid to do anything to upset the wolf even further. It took him a moment to collect himself but soon Hunter was back up, his frame dwarfing the smaller dog. In what must seem like a fit of bipolarity he got up to the cowed pup and gave him the warmest hug ever. The feeling was so gentle and soothing it was like a mother swaddling her babe in her arms for the first time. The dog was gaped at that but not questioning to action, he'd been forming snot bubbles a moment ago and it seemed like he wouldn't have his world crashing down on him. The hug went on for so long he was even starting to lean into it, feeling the wolf gently padding the back of his head.

“Uhm..."

“He's back..."

“Uh..."

“Back..."

“Are you alright S-Sheriff?"

“I am now." He answered serenely. The wolf was gentle stroking the lab who admittedly enjoyed the sensation, his tail wagging at a superior male and thanking the creator he is still alive, however confusing this was.

“Listen I enjoy the hug but uhh.."

“Listen, Alex, I'm so sorry for what happened. I got the wrong person." Hunter looked at him with genuine sincerity and regret.

“I-It's alright. I swear I'm off drug, don't even touch the light stuff." He felt the large hand stroking and petting his head and his tail started wagging some more. Somehow the feeling of being embraced by a larger male just felt so safe and comforting. Even if it was the same guy who minutes ago threatened to end his existence.

“Do you know if uhm Ch-Casey is coming back?" The wolf inquired.

“I-I don't know, last I heard he was gonna get breakfast."

“Is his stuff still in his room?"

“S-sorry is there an investigation going on? He didn't check his things out b-but-" The lab collected his resolve, the petting was helping. “I can't let you go to his room unless he' a criminal. Is he?"

“Oh no, not at all." He murmured dreamily. “I don't mind. I'll check back later." He got to his feet and petted the dog one last time for good measure. If Chase hadn't left with his things yet…

“Can I stay awhile?" The funeral must be over soon, maybe he'll come back. The wolf unconsciously petted the lab, who didn't totally hate it – he also didn't want to upset the wolf. They were barely friends.

“Uh uhm.." The lab was still a little wrung out but didn't see a real reason why he couldn't stay in the lobby. “Sure I don't see why not."

The big wolf finally stopped his embrace of the confused lab and helped clean up the mess the commotion caused. He apologized a few more times just for good measure, tidying up the dog's shirt collar and dusting his pants. Hunter stayed in the room, almost in a daze for what felt like half an hour as scenes of how his reunion would occur play out in his out.

“I didn't know you knew him." The lab tried. “I recognized him from the show."

“Oh?" The wolf murmured. “Ah right." He didn't tell the dog his real name? The wolf shrugged. “Yep been a big fan of the series before it was a show. Read the books several times, I even manage to get original signed copies of them."

Before that bitch takes them. He growled and Alex instinctively hid.

“Er wow, I only s-saw the show. You know what's going to happen next?" Alex attempted to make light conversation, the mood is changing, but slowly. So the Sheriff is a fan and wants his autograph?

“Oh yes, the next season is also the second half of the latest book. I heard the last book and the last two seasons are going to drop around the same time." The wolf wagged his tail excitedly. “You want the spoilers?"

“Oh no, no thanks. I hate when that happens!" The lab watch the giant wolf replay the camera feed several times, his tail wagging in a slow infinity. The lab couldn't help seeing him as a giant puppy, a very dangerous puppy and decided to let sleeping wolves lie. He got back to the counter, leaving the sheriff in the break room.

The wolf just sat there thinking about when the human would be returning. He always brought something out of Hunter, when they were teens the wolf went out of his way to work extra hard, got fitter too. The alpha ritual made him go all out, it was less ceremony than it was a blood sport. There were obstacle courses, wrestling bouts, biting and claws were allowed too. Anyone who managed to be top dog or rather wolf for the week always had to fight two against one the next week.

No one stood on top for long, but Hunter managed three weeks in a row. He'd had a particularly fruitful growth spurt that summer. Speaking of… the wolf had stopped growing for a few years, he'd been stuck at 7' 5" until maybe two years ago, right around the time that human started showing up on his favorite show. Everyone gawked at him in surprise when he shot up a third of a foot, he wasn't all that bothered. Maybe being taller than his uncle was the only real kick he got out of it. The inconvenience out-weigh the pros, well besides the other inches he grew. Chase was the kicker he needed to work out again, maybe out of jealousy or self-consciousness. Hunter was always lazy and straight forward, his uncle fixed his latter trait of course. He'd gotten better at being underhanded. His human made him less lazy, or was it was just that he finally has something to look forward to instead of being in a fake marriage with a kid that might not be his.

Waiting around was starting to get to him and his idle pondering went somewhere else. Why did Chase not reveal himself to him? Did he do something wrong? Sure the way they parted wasn't the best… but didn't he deserve a hello? Was he planning on just coming and leave in the blink of the eye with no plan of reconciling? Sure he might not want others to not know he was coming back. But why do it to him too? The wolf was getting worried now. Did he not like the way I look?

Hunter took off his shirt and poked his gut. No that human was definitely eying his bulge, wasn't he? He decided he might need to change underwear just to make sure, there was a spare jockstrap in the secret compartment right? Yes yes, he even made sure to workout with the same one all week as a reward for his fox today. Hmm maybe he would have to dump all his partners. Or maybe he can get Chase into a threesome, or maybe not. He didn't really want to share his human, unless Chase wanted to? He thought about taking Chase somewhere special tomorrow, after all it was like his personal break day wasn't it? Maybe the human would take him along, there going to be national holiday a month away. He could take time off work and travel with him outside this silly town and it just be the two of them all alone… perhaps sneak into a private beach and do it under the pale moonlight.

The goliath lupine's thought swung between paranoid and horny until he finally decided to do something about it. He'd need to cover his bases, check all the old spots they used to haunt. All during this time the wolf completely forgot the kids hauling around a box full of horny psychedelic pills, half of which are probably past expiration.

After about another half hour or so when the lupine went to the counter and spoke with Alex.

“Hey Alex, can you let me know if he comes back, he's not in trouble but I do have business with him."

“I uhm I guess I can contact you if he returns."

“Good, make sure he doesn't check out until then. I'm gonna search for him in the mean time, it can be a bit dangerous around here." He licked his lips, his tail wagging a thouand miles per minute.

“Oh okay." The lab looked like he'd been talking on his phone recently.

“Really sorry again." The wolf appearing and feeling contrite, he really hate to have to make it up to the pooch. Another things to add on his list of unending things to do, well that might change with his human back!

“It's no worries erm, you're just doing your job!" The lab reasoned to himself. “I'd be worried if someone was trafficking drugs."

“Hm…" Hunter proceeded outside, waving at the half relieved Alex who was returned the wave a tad more vigorously. Thinking about it more carefully, he thinks the most likely person that would know would be the cousin. He got into the cruiser and checked his phone, trying to calling Chase again. Nope still no service, what is with that human and not having a phone?

On his way to the cousin's place he spied a familiar gas station, the one he remembered all their little trysts at, and his wagging increased again. Even after his human left he still chose that place when stopping to refuel, sometimes even revisiting the bathroom for some unsavory reminiscing. Maybe the human went in there? Hunter drove into the gas station and run in, knocked his head on that really small door and ignoring the cashier went into the bathroom. He tried to sniff the place for some familiar scent but nothing triggered. Frowning at the lack of result the wolf stormed out and back to his car.

The drive to the grandmother's place was filled with anxiety. He checked the time, it was about four. How will the cousin, Mabel, going to take it? Well she kind of knew, would he need to find a way to get her to be quiet? Maybe Chase has leverage. He thought about how to approach them, maybe knock on the door and hope he answers. Or just sneak in, pounce on his pants and give him the tonguing of his life. Do it in front of the cousin as a display of dominance. He decided to stopped a block back from the two story building, it remained relatively unchanged in the decade since he first saw it. Whenever the human went to his grandma's the wolf would wait outside the house and throw rocks at the window at the far end. It usually got his attention, maybe he could again.

Hunter prowled like a stalker, his dark uniform and pitch black fur blending him into the shadow. The late noon sky was growing darker surprisingly quickly and he always felt more comfortable in the dark. Trying his hand at being romantic the wolf picked a rock and lobbed it in an arc at the familiar window again. No response. He tried again, waited a few more minutes then tried again. Maybe he's in another room? Maybe a more romantic gesture was needed! He grinned, his upper body strength was much better than when he was a teenager and his palm size made it so much easier to grip the thick railing.

He took off his heavy boots, showing the claw toed socks he liked to wear. No longer drunk, his attempt to parkour up the side of the house wasn't nearly as sloppy as it had been when retrieving his jacket. With a thick blunt claws he lifted up the window, and struggled to enter. Angling awkwardly to allow his wide shoulders entry, the wolf plopped down clumsily. It's a good thing he landed on soft carpeting, his fur on the furrier ground muffled any noises he made.

Finally pulling his thick legs in the giant hunched down to the ground, ears perking at any sign of noises. Like a feral wolf he walked on all fours trying to smell anything, but the recent scent of body preservatives stung his nose. He did hear chatter, a female and a male voice muffled through walls. By instinct he decided he was going to claim his male, whether or not there was anyone watch – it's been too long and he'd been too horned up to care. He need his human!

With primal agility, the hunter stalked his prey. He was fast, padded and socked on carpeting and with no slipper surface the predator glided. Around the corner, the voice was getting closer now. With increasing alacrity he prowled, the low late noon light meant that most of the street lights weren't on yet. The only thing showing of his massive form was his deep blue eyes. With a grace belying his size the reached the room the two were in, he could faintly make out some noises but they were getting quieter and quieter. He knew from the pitch who it was, without taking a moment's hesitation the huge lupine boomed open the door and pounce at the unsuspecting male only to crash into Kyle, they caught each other inches from kissing.

“Oh my bad." Was all the dumb wolf could say, they separated immediately.

Kyle collected himself, slowly getting to his feet, confused and erection slowly fading, his cheeks flushed with embarrassment.

“If you wanted to join in all you had to do was ask." Offered the girl.

“S-Sheriff? W-what are you doing here?"

Thinking quick on his feet the wolf responded with whatever the first thing he could think of.

He figured out a lied and went with it.

“Just came to visit the cousin, pay my respects. I uhm felt bad about what I did to Chase, figured I'd make amends." He shrugged. “I didn't know you uhh kept in touch..."

Hunter paused in thought. “Ah so this is the date?" He raised an eyebrow at Mabel. “Did he ruin your cousin's life?"

“I could say the same for you." Mabel shot back.

Somehow both canids looked guilty at the accusation, whatever Kyle wanted to do the moment was gone.

“After Chase left, he's been very contrite, visiting whenever he could. At first grandma would just hit or yell at him until he leaves. I did it for a bit too, but he always kept coming back." The wolf-dog tried not to look guilty, conflicted if Mabel should be telling Chase's primary bully this. He was still loyal to the pack after all.

“And you forgive him?"

“Not really my job to, I wasn't the one being wronged. He helped pick up the slack, visited every few days to do things. Even painted and fixed my house after auntie died. The mutt still looked a bit conflicted, as if this revelation would dirty his image in Hunter's eye. The wolf decided to test out the two loyalties. He growled.

“You still pining after that faggot?" He shot him a glare.

“I-I no, it's not about Chase! I just l-like Mabel." He spluttered.

“So if he came back you'd still treat him the same?" He dug deeper.

“N-no.. I don't know?" He wanted to do both and looked like he was cornered.

“If I told you to slap him would you?"

“I-I should get going."

“Answer the question Kyle."

“I-I thought you came to make amends?"

The wolf shrugged. “Maybe I've changed my mind."

“But-"

“So? Pick one, me or her and the human." He gestured.

The wolf-dog lingered on Mabel who was giving the wolf a dirty look.

“Oh if you choose them I will kick you out of the pack." That sent shivers down Kyle and he nearly wept with indecision.

Kyle was sweating bullets now, look everywhere but the two of them, pacing in place. If

He was about to say something, maybe to make a decision or to splutter in agony when Mabel just cupped his mouth and smacked the wolf.

That action caused everyone to freeze up.

Hunter was actually shocked, not from the slap but more from the act.

“Stop. You've tortured him enough. Or do I have to air your own grievances out loud to Mr. Perfect?"

He growled at her, he was so close to knowing too! The wolf huffed and crossed his arms. He shot the panicked wolf-dog a look and his expression completely changed.

“Sorry, just hazing!" He gave a perfectly friendly smile to the paralyzed Kyle.

“H-huh?" The stupefied pup said.

“I am here to make amends, I was just testing to see if you might were being truthful." He raised both shoulders apologetically. “Guess I got carried away."

“Oh.. hehe." The wolf-dog chuckled nervously, color slowly returning to his face.

“Honestly if he were here I'd beg for his forgiveness." Hunter intoned. He eyed Kyle.

“I-if you are, then I should too."

That made him frown in anger, was he still trying to be a follower? Indecisive mutt. Hunter returned his face to normal and turned towards the cousin.

“You actually like..." He gestured at the still recovering wolf-dog. “… this?"

“Believe it or not, not everyone needs to be a walking tank to be attractive. We just had a lot in common, he used to sleep over here when we were kids. We also love history."

“I uh yeah, Mabel's pretty good with Riverton folklore and mythos. She' quite the wiz, I even consulted her on pack lore sometimes."

“Oh? Is that who you were lending our books to?" He raised a brow and Kyle paled again.

“Stop doing that." Her response like a nuclear warhead with his secret taped to the spear-point.

“Kidding kidding. You can do what you want with our book as long as you check them back into the library when you're done."

He decided to be just a bit petty though.

“Say are you still busy?"

“Huh?"

“You got anything else going on today?"

“I uhm no not really."

“Oh good I need you to pick up the dry cleaning." He wanted him out and that was the fastest, blunt way to do so.

“Oh… I-I supposed. I think I'm gonna need a drink after this too." He muttered in defeat, cock-blocked by the sheriff.

“Hmm if you need a drink there is a bar a few blocks away from the dry cleaning. You should try after 9 though, that's when they serve the really good stuff, I frequent there myself all the time. Maybe I'll catch you there later." The wolf patted Kyle on the back like they were best buds. He wondered if Kyle would get himself mugged staying there.

“Alright, I'll drop by with the dry cleaning… I can check out the bar later." He waved goodbye to the cousin, giving her a fond look. She repeated the gesture.

When Kyle could be seen leaving the house Mabel poked at him.

“You're still bullying him aren't you."

“What's it to you? He deserves it." He growled at the much smaller person.

“That's not your job, and you're supposed to be the sheriff. Maybe get your head of your ass."

“Whatever, I didn't come for him." His tail started wagging again.

“I-is he here?"

“Yeah, he was." Rolling her eyes the young woman walked while talking. The wolf loped after like a lost puppy.

“W-why did you tell me!? Why didn't you tell him?" He spluttered.

“I tried, you ran off." She picked up an electric kettle with hot water. “Also I thought he saw you, he was at the home when your car sped out."

Shit!

“That close!? Well why wasn't he picking up his phone?"

“Out of battery."

“Oh come on!" He was in frustrated agony by this point, the universe just keeps conspiring against him. “Do you know where he went? How is he? What'd you do?"

“Don't know, fine, thing." Mabel was steeping a cup of tea, and took to a sip of it. “You need to relax, he'll return."

“R-really? How long is he staying?"

“Don't know, he's undecided. You planning on banging my cousin?"

“I- no!" He tried to look horrified at the implication but his tail was helicoptering.

“Uhuh, well he's not here so you should check elsewhere. Or you could wait at the house. He left his things there."

“R-really?"

“Yep, keys over the awning betwe-"

“Between the headlights yea yea." He nearly bolted after hearing that but then stopped.

“Can I get your number?"

“I thought you were my cousin?"

“Not for that! In case he comes back."

“I supposed, in exchange I want your saliva."

“Huh?"

“Can you pee in a tube?"

“I'll get back to your on the pee..."

One spit sample and phone number later Hunter shot out of the grandmother's home, Mabel still inside cleaning up after the wake. He jumped into his cruiser and drove the two minutes that separated both buildings in the empty streets. It was almost 5. The house exterior had changed a lot, every since Chase left he stopped coming to this side of town, where most of the humans and non-wolves resided. Everything is built scaled down for appropriately sized people.

The wolf went to the one story building that did not look like it would fit him. He barely tiptoed to find the secret spot where the key was hidden. He'd remember how he occasionally used it, the mother was a very inconsistent addict. They couldn't risk her knowing about him, she'd hostage her own son to grab nail clipping. There were however times when it was safe to come over, and that was when his uncle would put her in overnight at station jail. During those rare times the wolf sneak into Chase's home. The boy would be sleeping or tired from working or finishing his homework late.

The wolf would prowl into his home, strip off his clothes by the sofa and stalk into the room. When Chase least suspected it Hunter would pounce him, tear his clothes off and they'd make noises like a feral beast. One thing he always loved about his human was how he was just as horny as the wolf. It was like they were made for each other. His smell was equally intoxicating, it smelled familiar yet different, like he was meeting a long lost pack member. If Tracy hadn't been such a crazy bitch the human might actually be popular with the other canids, their smell always failed at distinguishing him.

Hunter looked around the changes the place had gone through, lost in memory of all their secret late night meetings. He'd swore one day to take him away from his mother, but things always turned out different from reality. The smell of the place was completely alien to him now, all he could smell were herbal scents, some wild flowers that Riverton was reeked of, and pungent concoctions that he'd rather not dive into and-

A powerfully nostalgic scent flowed into Hunter's wet black nose and he followed it to the sigh of a familiar hoodie. The same one he saw Chase wearing earlier, when they met as strangers. Without hesitating the giant wolf lunged for it, diving into the sofa and taking deep sniffs of his favorite human's scent. The aroma hit him like a ton of brick, along with faint traces of the de-scenter. He coughed and smiled at the same time, his sheath stirring a little.

Hunter stretched out the hoodie a bit, shaking it for good measure. He eyed the slightly damp wet spots on the armpits and this time sandwiched his nose between the stain. It was much more powerful and less chemical, the smell hours old but still there. The brute was in heaven, and was taking in deep whiffs while rubbing his growing erection against the sofa. He pinched his nipples through his uniform and rubbed himself, panting and out of breath from only the smell alone. Having a strong smell was sometimes a curse, but at moments like these he was extremely grateful.

Not wanting to be caught by the cousin in his current condition Hunter ran out the house, his massive erection on full display to any who could see it. He stuck his head out the door and looked left, then right. When the coast was clear, closed the door, returned the key barely containing himself and made for the car. He drove to the nearest empty spot, all the while the hoodie hanging from his nose and his pants threatening to explode. He looked around again just to make sure before pulling out his cock. He pulled the hoodie over his head, it was too small to get it all the way through the hole but that was never his goal. From within his entire face was surrounded with the scent of his human and he moaned ever harder. He tugged the hoodie around so he could smell the stain from the inside, where it would be even stronger.

Hunter was in heaven now and with one hand he took his shirt off, the other pinching his erect nipple. He could smell him and replayed old memories. Memories he relived every time he needed to relieve himself. The wolf now shirtless, undid his belt, the array of gadgets flopped about. Finally he took off his pants and naked as the day he was born, ran out of his car and into some trees.

After several minutes and a yowl he returned panting with a stupid grin on his face and his member back in its sheath. To him it felt like a national holiday, he'd probably celebrate again if he really felt like it. He really needed that, it was a nice little distraction but he wanted the real thing.

The wolf tried several other spots around town, the usual and unusual haunts the two would always frequent. He tried the arcade, the school bleachers, a small town park that no one else used, several other random locations just for completion's sake. It was 7 by the time he decided to give up. He could wait a little longer right? He still got no response from the cousin and he contacted Alex too with equal results.

Deciding to relieve his frustrating Hunter decided in the spur of the moments to go to the new gym in town. The lupine was getting frustrated at not meeting his human, so he decided to blow off some steam. The drive took him to the opposite side of town near the wolf district. He always had a spare set of gym clothes in his trunk, unlike the secret compartment where he kept items of a more peculiar taste. He wondered about taking out the jockstrap but didn't want people to see him changing underwear at the gym.

The wolf went inside the new building, it was modern and had all the new trimmings it could afford. The staff had an average looking wolf staffing the counter, a teenager who was working and playing with his phone. He recognized the sheriff and almost got up to greet but was told to stay put. Hunter got to his usual spot in the locker room and changed from his uniform to something more and he went about working out.

Hunter wanted to do upper body today, maybe he'd give his human a gun show. Smirking and licking his chops he went to the weight and went through a series of arm exercises. First there were dumbbells exercises for warm up, he'd done enough running around for one day, then the bench press, squats, dead-lifts, overhead press, lunges. Then onto the other machines. It must've been nearly two hours when Hunter finally decided to take a break. He was sweat hard and must've hit a new personal best, going over 20 kg on his personal dead lifts record. The wolf sniffed himself and grunted at his manly musk, he was feeling that workout high and thoughts of how he'd tease Chase filled his thoughts.

After taking a quick shower at the gym, with practically no one there being late at night on a Saturday really cuts down on traffic. Damn he should've worn his jockstrap. Hunter got dressed back in his work uniform, he sniffled. Should've brought in my casuals from the trunk too, his uniform still had a day's worth of walking around on it, oh well. He scrunched up his gym shorts and tank top into a ball and walked out the gym, waving goodbye to the kid who just looked at him in wonder at his physique, maybe he should start working out too.

Before he almost forgot the wolf turned his phone on and dialed Kyle's number.

“Hey Kyle, did you remember my dry cleaning?"

“Oh h-hey Sheriff, totally did. Dropped off at your place and everything!" Hunter wanted to growl at the thought of giving that worm his spare key.

“Oh okay." He thought about hanging up

“Hey I'm actually at the bar right now."

“Really?" That caught him by surprise, the little mutt I actually there?

“Yeah - woah, damn look at this place!"

“It looks different doesn't it?" He smirked.

“Looks a bit divey but hey that's the charm right?"

“You could say that." Maybe he'll start something and get socked in the face.

“Oh come now, don't tell me you actually like it?"

“Totally do, it's one of my favorite bars too." He answered nonchalantly.

“So you think you'd come here?"

Thinking about it he shrugged, why not? He still didn't get any response from the cousin or the inn. It was worrying but it couldn't be that bad could it? “Yeah but not today, rain check?"

“Heh I'll set the date." The wolf just rolled his eyes. Maybe he'll catch a few Z's until he got a phone call.

The drive back to his apartment took forever but at least it was quiet. Hunter went to about sniffing his favorite hoodie again, he decided it was his favorite now. The workout had gotten his blood flowing and his cock throbbed in anticipation. He nervously checked the same number again, when the hell is the human going to answer!

Hunter plopped in his home, it was quiet. Dead silent, an empty place with no one to comfort him. He'd have to think about a way to avoid females from hitting on him once the divorce becomes public knowledge. Maybe he'll say it left a bad taste in his mouth. On the shelf were the dry cleaning again. There was a dozen other little things going on the wolf's mind and he tried to sort them by priority, however they all devolved back to Chase. With nothing to occupy his mind his paranoia returned. Why didn't he just say who he was? A thousand reasons all of the equally viable flooded his mind, too soothe it and his beating heart he grabbed the hoodie again and wrapped it around his head like a mask. It didn't help, it only made him horny and angry.

He didn't know how long it'd been but he soon got a call from an unfamiliar number. Thank god, he was afraid it'd be Kyle asking to hang out or something again.

“I saw him! He's here!" Kyle's voice rang out in half panic.

“Huh who?" The wolf asked groggily, sporting a semi.

“I-it's Kyle" The wolf-dog panted.

“I-I was at the bar and I-I saw him, he's going by Casey but I'm sure it's him. I tried Mabel, Max, and Greg but none of them picked up!"

The wolf growled in a surprised stupor, did the idiot really think of calling those two-

Wait Casey? Shit Chase!

“By Casey you mean-"

“It's Chase! Can you believe it? I swear I watch that show every week and I didn't realize he's Grayson!

Hunter mind was in a panic now.

“I'll be right there- and do NOT tell anyone else understood?" He growled and hung up, he got in his car faster than he ever knew and floored it. Some good news and his human is at a dive bar? What the hell!

It took less than 10 minutes by the time he pulled up in his cruiser by the Kennels. He eyed a blooded Kyle sitting on the corner, clutching a broken phone in his paw. He looked up at Hunter and was immediately bright eyed.

“I-I wanted to follow but they kicked me out." The dog sniffled."Yo-you're the sheriff right? Maybe you can help? I just wanted to apologize but he shouted at me and ran off." The wolf-dog clutched his legs.

He grunted, ignoring Kyle immediately and lumbering into the bar. He almost missed the sight of the Great Dane. He eyed around to see if anyone else was there. Was the dog hallucinating?

He turned to the Great Dane. "Have you seen a human recently?"

“What's it to you sheriff..."

“Was there a human here or not!?" He growled.

“Might've." The Dane shrugged.

Hunter decided he'd try to bartender when a familiar scent hi him again, but this time more metallic. He sees a bandage with some blood leaking from it. He grunted, going to the bin and picking it up. The wolf sniffed it and immediately his predatory and lustful instinct kicked him, it was much more recent and didn't stink of de-scenter. The wolf might've pawed himself off right then and there but he decided against that course of action with so many eyes on him. He got back out to ask Kyle where he went.

“Did you see where he'd go?"

The wolf-dog shrugged. “I don't know they were in the bar last I saw.

“T-they?" The wolf spluttered.

What?

“Yeah must be his date or something a while ago. They broke my phone and no one would lend it..."

What. The. Fuck?

Kyle tried to reason out but was instantly gripped by the scruff and slowly lifted of the ground.

“Eep!" He struggled. “S-Sheriff what are you doing?"

“Who was it?" He snarled out loud, half seeing red now.

“I-I don't know it was a rottweiler s'all I know!" The shorter male squeaked.

His mind raced at that, a rottweiler? Who could- suddenly a very familiar memory went through the back of his mind. The first time they'd ever connected…

“Strong build? He the park ranger? About 6' 10" stocky build?"

“Uhm yeah I think so. I don't know about park ranger he had a wicked hook-" Kyle was tossed to the ground and immediately forgotten.

Hunter had spied on that particular horn-dog for a while now, he'd never have the guts to outright approach the other canine but he'd seen the other male enough times to observe his behavior. The bastard always tried to go after humans or other males around that size. In a way just like him, or rather he should thank that rottie for developing his taste like so. But right now though he'd rather rip his head off. The dog had been arrested more than one on public indecency and starting bar brawls, he seethed.

Just what is he doing with that dog?

There really is only one answer, and panic set in his mind. Then memory of the lodge returned to his forefront, he suspected but didn't know for sure the rottie would choose that location, but… He checked out all the other haunts. That has to be the only place left. His heart was heavy now, worried and jealous. Back to square one huh?

He held a quiet rage all the while driving to that place, memories of their encounter at that place and how close he'd come to being caught. His human always picked up after his mistake and that was one of the reason he'd loved him. No one else thought of him as weak or vulnerable, his uncle abused him. Others see him as the strong alpha in waiting. But to Chase he could be both, strong and vulnerable and it galled him that the human would come to town and just pick up a random stranger.

He'd decide he he'd done enough playing nice, he'd teach that pup a lil fear. The same amount he'd given the wolf this whole day. It'd be a nice payback for not telling him sooner when they first met. He growled deep and primal. Anger and lust mixing and clouding his thoughts. He thought to turn on the sirens just to scare the two, maybe stop them from going further in the act. Mind racing a thousand miles a minute the cruiser rode into the old village. His siren and lights blaring and strobing on in full display, easily heard from the lodge. Hunter might've thought about using his sense of smell if he wasn't gagging at the smelly trees. He was getting more and more pissed. He bolted for the lodge, running closer and closer towards it. In the corner of his eyes he sees a naked rottweiler bounding across the exit and into the woods. That made him see red. He was going to murder that dog if he got hi hands on him, no- no. He's not important. Find the human. His human!

Hunter could still hear sounds inside, the sound of a panicked man running around. He growled, smelling the arousal of two male in the air and adjusted his bulge. The aroma only get stronger the deeper into the lodge he went. At the end of the hall it was the strongest. He saw a figure, handsome in profile from his ample posterior and lean muscled back in a tight, form fitting suit.

The man was hunch by the fireplace, his perky ass capturing the wolf's attention. He just wanted that view to freeze in time. Slowly the predator, friend, bully, jock, boyfriend, classmate, confidant, protector, and so much more moved in behind those ass and growled low. “Stop…."

* * *

Chase Hill dreamt again while he slept. He was on a vast empty plateau, to his left were the forests that stretched for miles without end, to his right was a river that snaked from one horizon to the other, across it sparse flat land with a field of wild flowers. The distance made it difficult but he could see two furry forms in a ball of frenzy, their colors mixing and blending endlessly, like yin and yang or an Ouroboros - eternal, infinite, looping. He tried to get closer but they stayed far in the distance, constant and apart like the constellations. They were twisting and coiling into each another, and looked to be biting and clawing one another. It was hard tell whether or not they were in the throes of passion or rage but their movement was intense, like a living current of fur. Time stood while the human watched, the sun rose and fell the moon went through all its phases. During some distant in-between, an eternal gloaming eclipse and all the colors of the heavens are visible he heard it. A howl that shattered the world and with a start-

He woke up still groggy, a little hung over from the effects of the alcohol and drug seem to have finally left him. Chase looked through bleary eyes at his surrounding, he squirmed at the tender feeling around his back, damn his ass took a beating. He… he was not at the village anymore. It looked to be an apartment, about human sized and it was still dark outside.

There was a digital clock on the stand reading 2:32 AM, some toys and a backpack laid on the floor. The room looked small and but cozy, a computer desktop stood to one corner and fur shedding was everywhere. They were mostly black, but some were faint white hairs too. The room looked sparse but there were several moving boxes occupied whatever real estate wasn't already filled. Chase tried to wiped his face and wake up a little but he realized his hands were still cuffed.

Wha?

That was when he heard the sound of metal clanging outside. The man paused as he heard the sound of heavy objects being moved, or was it weights? Dazed and groggy, he got out of bed and slowly stepped out of bed. There was a rug on the wooden floor. He realized he was still very much naked, swaddled in blankets. His suit clothes were neatly placed on the nightstand, he fished inside it to find his phone but it wasn't there. He took his underwear and put them on before hearing another set of heaving weights and also a grunt. Curious, he approach the door still mostly naked and quietly opened the door. The sight that greeted him made his throat dry.

He saw a massive black shape in the living room, heaving and grunting. Doing barbells with so many stacks of weights it could easily dwarf him many times over. The creature was barely breaking a sweat with his exertions and to his sensitive nose the human could detect that his musk. The scent was strong, intoxicating, and definitely his Hunter. It was even stronger than the last time he remembered it, the aroma was very masculine and rousing him from his sleep. He stumbled a little and that was all it took for the goliath to stop, mid squat. The head turned and Chase could see those deep blue eyes again from across the room. The wolf easily lowered the hundreds upon hundreds of pounds of weight onto the floor, surprised it didn't fall through. All the while his eyes were focused on the human.

When the wolf finally turned his body to meet the humans. Chase couldn't help but notice what the lumbering lupine was wearing. It was a very low cut tank top held with what could only be described as strings draping his shoulders. Those powerful heavy pectorals were pumped from the workouts, the arms were also flushed with veins so big that they appeared all along the furry skin. The tank top did little to hide his huge dark nipples that almost pointed down from how big his chest was. Large biceps and triceps were showing, each vascular group pronounced and flexed. Chase gulped at the sight as the looming male walked slowly towards him, those shorts did little to hide that bulge.

Chase avoided staring at any one part of him for too long, his eyes darting around the figure still dimly lit in the morning night. Those striated leg muscles were starting to develop, hints that while defined the wolf was still a work in progress. The only part of him that looks even normal was his doughy stomach. He could look at it for long though, the wolf flexed his pecs and they danced. Enticing the human to look upwards and into unreadable eyes. Is this really his wolf?

“H-hunt-"

“It's still too early pup. Did I wake you up?" He sounded commanding, dominant.

“A bit. Is this your place." That comment sent a hint of frustration into the wolf's face but he dismissed it quickly.

“Get back in your room, it's still too early." He gruff deeply.

That was when Chase noticed how the wolf was positioned in front of him. There was one hallway to his back that probably led out of here and the big wolf was blocked it. On the other side was another room, door closed. In the living room was a futon next to the television. He slowly backed to the path path that only led to his room and the wolf came a little closer to corner him in. He tried his best to ignore it, the wolf was scary when its dark.

“S-sorry it's hard to see you. Can you open the lights?"

“No. I can see just fine, you should be sleeping." The voice was monotone. Those blue eyes scanning his naked form and onto his boxers.

“Okay… but uhh" The human raised his hands, still shackled. “Can you remove these? I'm not understand arrest am I?" He hoped not.

The wolf paused at that, he stared at the manacles for a bit too long almost reluctant. It felt like half a minute they stood there, and before he could speak up again the wolf walked to a corner. The sounds of keys jingling, but all the while his ears were focused in Chase's direction. Those eyes weren't blank, they were calculating, his body anticipatory. He slowly stood back up, tail unreadable this whole time. The human wondered what would happened if he stepped out of the hallway into the living room, what if he bolted for the path on the opposite end of the living room. Why was he feeling nervous? This was Hunter after all, the pup had changed. A lot. But it's still Hunter right?

The mammoth beast closed the gap within two strides, he was hunched this whole time. The room grazed his ears when he stood completely upright. He was a giant and the human was at his mercy, if he chose to have his way…

Hunter hunched until he muzzle was breathing on the human. Their eyes met and electricity shot through them both. The key was in the fingers of those massive paws, so many compared to those giant mitts, each could easily cup around his head in its entirety. With reluctance the key slid into the manacles, and with a turn and a click they dropped to the floor. The wolf almost seemed ready for something to happen, he'd going even more quiet somehow, deep blue eyes drinking in the human like a predator with his meal. Chase tried to ignore this, Hunter was always a bit weird sometimes, and this wouldn't be the first time the giant didn't say anything for awkward gaps.

Chase rubbed his wrists instinctively.

“Thanks-"

“Are you cold? I will join you in bed."

“N-not yet I think I need to pee."

“I'll show you to the bathroom." He directed the human to the room, careful to always position himself between him and the exit on the opposite side of the living room. Chase couldn't really see that well but he saw the glint of several bolts on the door, was it to keep people out… or in?

The bathroom was small, for the wolf. He fit in with reasonable headroom, and was about to drop his pants when he realized the wolf was still looking. He even got into the bathroom with him and closed the door behind him, that dimmed what little there was. The nightlight in the corner was very low, made for furs with better night vision.

“Uhmm do you need to come in with me? Where's the light- ah" He yelped as a huge paw snaked its way between his legs and pulled down his boxers. Chase was blushing, and the soreness in his ass made him stand still.

“Don't worry boy, I've got you." He whispered sensually into Chase's ear, causing the human's hair to stand on its back. Those soft paw pads swallowed his penis, it positioned him awkwardly but he managed to aim it properly at the bowl.

“T-thanks but I can aim for myself." He gently pushed the hand away and gripped his own penis, still blushing at the larger male looming behind him, protectively… jealously? The piss was heavenly, he had drank a stein's worth of anthro level beer and couldn't help arch his back. It found a large sized bulge, the two orbs merged with the sheath for form a large cantaloupe sack. Chase stiffened and awkwardly straightened again, the wolf merely grunting a little at the sensation. The bulge sent shivers down his spine and he suddenly felt sore from his backside again. The wolf thankfully left the bathroom, the door not fully closed though.

Trying to appear occupied and not appear both aroused and scared, the human scanned the bathroom while his stream kept going. It might've been more embarrassing if it wasn't Hunter. They had on occasion peed in the same bowl or in the woods together sometimes, although never this close together. The sink was opposite the toilet, the medicine cabinet has a three segmented mirror. In the corner was a hamper. Chase looked in and gaped. Was that his hoodie? And why are there stains on it?

Opposite the door was the shower, not a tub but a partition that stretched from the floor to the top with sliding doors. He could see a window along the back top to let out steam. It was big for a human but pretty small for Hunter. When he was done, flushing the toilet and washing his hand he felt the warmth radiating behind him reminding him he was not alone.

“Done?"

“Y-yeah Hunter we should talk, get-"

“In the morning pup."

“But-"

“In the morning." He grumbled deeply, sounding more like a reticent request than a command. He hoped.

“Alright fine." The human yawned as the warm mass of fur guided him back to his room, the bed was fit for Hunter, barely the wolf had to bend down to get into the room. He tried to go back to sleep, but felt eyes staring at him for a bit too long. The single light layer of blanket doing little to warm him, it was a surprisingly chilly spring morning.

“Are you there?"

No response. He turned around to see the door closing with a click.

A few moments later he could hear racks of weight being added, and the sound of lifting weights growing louder and the grunts deeper. The sets faster and the pace harsher. The exercise must've changed because there was a shuffling of equipment. The man heard a cacophony of grunts, pants, growls, and other noises from the living room. The sounds of got louder and louder as the session intensified. The wolf made one last triumphant roar and dropped what felt like a ton of weights to the ground. When it finally got silent he looked up at the time to see it was almost an hour. Chase could've sworn the wolf didn't even have a full minute to reset between sets. He heard water and splashing and clothes dropping. When the door to his room opened again, he turned around to see those deep blue eyes on him. Those pearly white fangs were showing, he must be smiling.

“I didn't keep you up did I little one?"

“Yeah you did." He grumbled, a little turned on. “Can I sleep in peace now?" He tried to make himself comfortable with his thin blanket.

“Almost..." The wolf took off his sweat stained tank top and shorts, only in his jockstrap now. Whatever tighty whities he was wearing before gone. Chase gulped at the sigh of the wolf, his muscles fully pumped and radiating heat like a furnace. He bounced his pecs once for good measure and got into bed with his human. His frame pushed the human to the back of the bed, trapping him between the wall and the wolf. It was a tight fit for him, his form splayed out reached the end of the bed. If he were someone else he might've felt claustrophobic.

“Are you still sweaty?"

“Wiped myself off, you want the towel?"

“No that's not-"

“No, how about I give you the experience first hand." The wolf cornered his human and took one paw around his head. With one shove he planted Chase's head in between his hairy pit. The human reflexively struggled at the surprised invasion of musk, the pits still a bit damp from the workout. He continued to fight it for a bit before the smell overwhelmed him and he gave up, the paw on his head a steel vice-like grip keeping him in his pungent prison. The smell of his old lover got him almost instantly hard and he melted into the fur, even dragged his tongue around to taste Hunter's dominating masculine aroma. And it spoke to a primal part of him, it screamed at him it was what an alpha should smell like and that he should submit. Chase was about to until another part of him growled out, telling him to fight it, to resist being subjugated against his well. He was as much an alpha as this overgrown mutt and he refuses to submit. There were also lingering questions he wanted answered but that can wait. He took from this reserve of inner strength and with a familiarity only someone who was intimate with Hunter's body knew, grabbed the wolf's large hard nipple and twisted it.

“Arph!" Came the surprisingly high pitched whine. “What the hell?"

“If you want to sleep. Sleep." He grumbled. “I'm going to bed now. No more of this weird kinky stuff!"

“B-but." He growled. “You need to talked to me with more respected." He tried to get back in the groove but Chase just shot him a defiant look.

“Good night." He turned around and huffed, still hard from the wolf's musk lingering on his face. This big puppy's getting way too cheeky. His flirting might've worked if the human wasn't dead tired, hung over, feeling lingering woozy from the drug, had his ass aching constantly and just not catching any Z's whatsoever.

He thought the wolf would leave but only heard the big tail wagging and hitting the bed. The big wolf lunged for him and cradled him tightly like a puppy that's just found his favorite toy after it was missing for so long. At least he wouldn't freeze in his sleep, the human slept snugly in his warm blanket of fur. Snoozing lightly and consistently.

Hunter was a little surprised at his human, usually when he did that routine to his slaves they would blow their loads immediately. Sometimes he'd locked them up for a week or two and get them pent up and needy, when he let them smell his pits they'd shoot almost instantly. Did he do something wrong? He'd become so addicted to sex that he'd learned all the ways to tease a bitch into submission, why isn't it working on his human? Somehow the defiance only got him more excited. He just wanted his human to stay and never leave again.

The wolf's mind was racing a thousand miles per minute, he rested his muzzle at the crook of his human's neck. He was still feeling afraid to lose him. His jealous still flaring from the scene of that dog running out naked. He would need to talk to him about it, he'd demand an answer. But… later. Taking in Chase's scent as he too fell asleep, dreaming of how he else he can make his human stay, tail wagging from his imagination.

Chase woke up a few hours later, his should felt a little sore. Hunter was drooling over him and was grinding his huge bulge along his back. It almost felt like no time had passed at all, the few times they slept together the wolf always wanted to wrap his body around his. Now that he was so big it felt almost like he was a child swaddled in a protective cocoon. A very horny cocoon. Something was stirring from the sheath, time to go. Being so big also meant that there was more room to move around the sleeping giant, he expertly manuevered between soft mounds, warm carpeting, and a flagging tail by replacing himself with a pillow. Morning felt refreshing, the time was nearing eight and the sun was casting what little light it could through the shaded window. Chase turned to see the big wolf vigorously humping the pillow and felt red in the cheeks. Maybe he'll let him sleep a little longer.

The young actor left the room, choosing to quietly open the door. He did not think he could close it without the click so left it at that. The living room looked really empty, it was big for a human but there was a definite lack of furniture. The television laid on the hard floor, it was split between wood and carpeting. There was also the futon directly in front of it, he grumbled when he saw all the other layers of blankets stacked there.

The weights were cushioned on the soft padding, with a large mat to for extra padding. He saw several dumbbells in the hundreds of pounds and gulped. A pang of jealousy shot through him again, it's just so unfair how strong some furs can be. He could only manage a fraction of that. The plates on the barbell was immense. He saw several sizes clamped on both ends, specially made weights for larger species. The biggest he saw were 100kg plates, and it looked like the wolf had used every spare set in the house because there weren't anymore. He'd imagined, if the wolf had been born in another place, in a much different time that he'd be a hero of legends or maybe a dark conqueror. He shuddered at the thought.

He noticed the room opposite his, it was slightly ajar and his curiosity got the better of him. Walking across the living room with tentative steps he swung it slowly open. There were boxes stacked up to the ceiling in this room. It had a very small window to one side and also a wardrobe, nothing else. Everything could be moved at a moment's notice, he got to one of the crates and decided to sneak a peak inside. The sight turned his eyes into dinner plates.

In one of the boxes were an array of dildos are various shapes and sizes. He saw one that looked human, another with a knot, even one with barbs. There was also a horse cock one with the medial ring and everything. Chase gulped at them, diving deeper revealed several more variations including vibrators and other more extreme versions. Were all of them sex toys?

Chase quickly closed that one and got into another box, there were assortments of bondage gear neatly stacked in the box. He saw several leather cuffs with chains, an assortment of ropes in a variety of color, whips, gags, and even cages. This was getting too much! He slowly backed away from them, half in shock and stumbled back onto a wall of muscled fur.

“You shouldn't be here." The voice said.

“Uhm wow..."

“You like what you see?" The wolf was wagging enthusiastically, his tail thumping the door.

“It's… a lot." Chase just croaked.

“Look at this!" Hunter got to one box and opened it, taking out several masks in the shape of a dog fitted for humans. He also took out several masks made for a wolf of his size, leather straps and harnesses. “I've got more things just like it!" It was too much.

“I I uhmm got to go." He turned around and quickly left the room.

“Huh?" His wagging stopped. “Why?"

“I didn't realize you got so… kinky." He murmured in a daze.

“There's nothing wrong with that."The big wolf growled defensively.

“Oh uh maybe not, it's just. Not my thing."

“I, uh look we don't have to do any of that stuff if you don't want." The voice started sounding more panicked. “I can change that stuff, get rid of it."

“Huh? Why it's your things right?"

“Yeah but you said you're not into it!"

“What's that got to do with me?"

“Well if you don't want it I won't do it."

“Hunter you're not making sense."

“Well yeah, if you're gonna be here with me-"

“With you? We had sex the first night we met while I was half drunk and high on psychedelic." He groaned.

“How am I supposed to know that?"

“You did see the drugs right?"

“Wha, when did you start chasing the wolf?"

“Apparently last night."

“Look I'm sorry, I didn't mean to do that if you didn't want to." He whimpered. “I don't do rape." His tail and ears drooped at that.

Evey since he heard his uncle and mother the wolf was very careful when it came to consent, that screaming and crying haunted his memory. His mother a constant reminder of what going too far meant, he did not want to do that to his human, ever. Whenever he was with his slaves he always made it clear what the were getting into, when they said yes however, give an inch and he'll take a mile.

“Ugh it's fine, it… it wasn't bad. You've really gotten really into this kinda stuff huh.." The human blushed at the memory.

“I think I told you, I like to be in control." Maybe a little too much in control.

“Uh yeah, but uhmm. Look I'm not judging." He shrugged. “I like it a little kinky sometime. But I don't like to lose control, not like that."

The wolf frowned at that. “Not even a little bit? We can have safe words!"

“This is too much sex talk, its been a decade Hunter. This isn't what we should be talking about." He deflected.

“Aw fine." The wolf pouted, a little petulant.

In the morning light the dark monster was gone, and in its place was an overgrown toddler. A toddler that could crush every bone in his body and not break a sweat.

“So… how's life?" He asked awkwardly. The wolf frowned at the question.

“It's okay. I've missed you." He said in a quiet voice, he got closer to his human, got down on his knees and gave him a big hugg, still only in his jockstrap and smelling his equally undressed human deeply.

“I… I've missed you too." He tried to return the embrace but his arms did not meet across that wide chest. Even on his knees the wolf was still around the same height as the human. Before he could reorient himself the wolf's maw opened and his long shot out and dove its way into his. It started off gentle, like Hunter wasn't sure he was there, then when it remained in contact long enough he got more passionate. It explored his mouth some more, and tried to overwhelm his sense again. He almost had the human again when Chase pushed him out, growling a little with a raging tent in his boxer.

“Stop trying , huff, to seduce, huff, me you big goof." He gently swatted the wolf's face, still a bit dazed at the taste of his human. He only gave a stupid grin.

“S-sorry. You just smell and taste so good."

He admitted the wolf didn't smell half bad either, but other questions were burning in his mind and he couldn't put them off much longer.

“That phone call, last time we met."

The wolf growled at that.

“That was a female wasn't it. Are you married, what is this?" He cupped his hands on either side of Hunter's face, getting the growling lupine to face him.

“We-we're getting a divorce okay? It's fine isn't it? I'm leaving Sarah!"

“Really? That's who you went with?"

“What!? I didn't have a choice."

“Why not? I-" He paused. A distant memory resurfacing itself. “Wait a goddamn minute. That night..."

The wolf just looked somberly at him, eyes dropped down. He remembered it very well, the last time he saw his human.

* * *

Hunter looked around town for him. Things were spiraling out of control. He'd beaten Max and Greg to a bloody pulp and they'd given him nothing except some brief satisfaction at their comeuppance. Chase hadn't been to school for almost a week now and he needed to see how he was doing. This was all his stupid fault, more harebrained schemes that kept backfiring. He checked his home several times but couldn't get close without his uncle knowing, he'd gotten more vigilant all of a sudden. The wolf got away in the dead of night when he knew his uncle took those sleeping meds and leapt out the window. The night was his friend, he was always stronger there. More confident, he felt more powerful in it, the darkness gave him strength. Even in a full moon he could disappear into its inky recesses, blending seamlessly between the forest canopy whenever they have their pack hunts. It was why he was such a promising candidate.

He came to the gas station, hoping to see him. Sometimes he'd work all night, where else would he be if he wasn't coming to school? He ran without stopping eventually bounding across on all fours, something he was too embarrassed to show anyone else, it was a full moon and his eyes turned white gold from the reflective light. The wolf wasn't even tired when he reached the gas station. Turning the door open he ran in to see the old manager at the helm.

“Hunter what are you doing at this time of night. You got school tomorrow don'tcha?" The manager asked with a raised eyebrow.

“Hi Mr. Carson. Where is Chase? I thought he would be working by now." The asked with a whine at the end of his hone, hoping against hope for an answer.

“No idea, the stopped working two days ago. Decent kid, always on time too."

That thought sent him into all sorts of paranoia again. Did he somehow find out? No, it's got to be about prom. He ran out again whining harder, he's starting to lose control of the situation and it reminded him of when his dad left, when his mom left for months on end without talking to him once. He didn't want this to happen again! There was only one place he could be… if he hadn't left yet. The wolf bolt, loping in the shadows twice as fast, this time breathing heavily from the unnecessary exertion. He came to the shortcut, just at the edge of town there overlooked that stupid motel.

There next to the statue was a very familiar figure, he sat there waiting, almost anticipating something. He looked out when he felt movement, and looked up blue gold eyes no longer in direct moonlight.

“You came." He whispered quietly.

“W-why are you here? How'd you know?" He panted.

“It's your schedule." He shrugged. “Your uncle." He spat."Always takes sleeping pills during the weekends. Figured it was either today or tomorrow."

“You couldn't just come see me?"

“I-I don't want to get near your place… there would be other wolves. Waited yesterday too." He wept silently at some hidden thoughts.

In his hand was the go-bag. In this case it was a go-box. He fished out all the cash, and dump the drug and trinkets to the ground. He had on only the clothes on his back and a rucksack where he pocketed the money. Hunter's mind was reeling now. He can't be. Not again!

“D-don't go!" He got closer, voice nearly pleading. “I-I can fix this. I'll… I'll come up with something!"

“Like at the prom?" He scoffed.

“What happened? Who did it to you?" He whimpered.

The human hesitated and then thought for a sec, finally deciding against it.

“I don't know, it was a wolf." He shrugged, avoiding eye contact.

“Pleeaseee don't go." He dragged his feet on his knees and held his human's leg tightly. “I need you." The pup whispered.

A soft hand patted his head and for a second he thought the human would change his mind. It tightened a bit and he felt the human breathing in and let out a heavy breath.

“No."

“Bu-"

“Come with me." He said sharply.

“Wha.. what?" Hunter shot up at him.

“You said you always hated it here, hated your uncle." He said it was venom. “So come, leave this place with me."

“I, but. It's not that bad, the kitchen accident really got everyone's attention. Starving without lunch pretty made everyone pissed off at Alex and not you!" The wolf continued, erasing the human's own concerns. “And.. uncles not that bad. He's an asshole and he harass your mom a bit but-" Most of the damage was his to suffer anyways. He could take it, it's his fault when uncle got mad. Ever since mom left uncle was all he had left.

What's a little drunken roughhousing between family? He was sheriff, what can he even do? Call the cops on him? No one was gonna believe him, he's the biggest wolf in school, he could take the punishment. And with a stellar leader and alpha of the community it wouldn't he hard to deny or downplay the incident. Afterall he was the dutiful uncle that stuck around when his dad went off and his mom lived out of state. The pain he could get used to, the abuse he would handle. He was getting used to the pain, maybe one day he'll get to enjoy inflicting it. Whenever he thought about rebelling against his uncle, he'd just go back to his old house and stand in the empty building until he died inside. Then come crawling back with tails tucked between his legs.

“Come with me, let's leave this dying town and go wherever we want!" He said again.

“I-I want to." He whimpered, did he dare? Now that Sarah told him? Chase always kept saying irresponsible he was. Was he going to do the same to this kid the same his parents did to him?

“Can I think on it?" He tried to reason, Chase just stood there crestfallen.

The wolf was in a panic, could he leave everything his uncle, his “friends", everyone he ever knew, the comfort and safety of this town. Maybe… maybe he could. What is he told him about his new responsibility… No no that is a very bad idea. That would drive him away, would he even want to leave with him if he knew? Could he do that? Not to mention what everyone would think if he did, would that even matter when he's gone?

Hunter was agonizing over his decisions while Chase made up his.

“It's fine. You're better off here, sorry I asked. It's not fair of me." He whispered.

“N-no wait. I just. I'm sorry for what happened-" He stammered out.

“It was silly of me to ask, you've got everything going on. The popular kid, the golden kid, maybe future alpha." He sighed. “It's unfair of me to ask you to trade it all for me."

He got up, shouldered his backpack.

“N-no that's not it. I've got… I've got responsibilities too."

“Yeah right, you responsible." He grumbled.

“I-I do, I'm telling you. I can make it right!" He whined.

“What? And screw it up again?" He huffed, already walking towards the hotel. “Don't worry, I already told my Grandma. My mom can die for all I care. You don't need to tell them where I'm going."

“W-where are you going?" He sobbed while trying to follow.

“Away."

“Not yet, please just give me some time. I'll make it right."

“No more, if you're not coming now I don't need you." He muttered out, pain in his expression but soldiering on.

“B-but-"

“Just go back, you're better off without me." The teenager trudged on up the route, the wolf walking slower and slower behind him.

“No I won't I need you."

“Well… maybe. But.." He sighed. “I-I don't need you."

“Wh-what?"

“Yeah, I was doing fine until I met you." Chase grumbled, memories filling his mind. “Always cleaning up after you, taking the fall for your mistakes." He spat.

“I-I-"

“Just go, you're always doing more damage than you're helping. You're gonna be dead-weight to me."

“I'm not!"

“You ever gone hungry before? Ever fished meals out of the dumpster? You're not gonna maintain that body weight with the diet I'm going on."

“I can try..."

“There's gonna be days where you'd have to sleep on the floor. When you're not certain of what's going to happen. If you'll meet someone with ulterior motives..."

“Then you'll need me more."

“I can handle myself just find. You're the naive one." He exited the brush and into a dingy parking lot.

“I'm not, you'll need protection."

“Hah! You're the last person I'd need protect from."

“Chase please! I-I love you!" He tried.

“Me too Hunter. I love you too, so just stay here and forget about me."

The wolf tried to reach for him but the human evaded him.

“You're no good to me. Get the hell away from me, you trouble magnet." The boy muttered. The wolf tried to lunge for him but was met with a pepper spray to the face. He fell to the ground crying out, reaching around for his human to touch.

“I'm sorry, but… you're just not worth stay around for."

That last sentence was a dagger to his heart. He cried while the footstep slowly faded. When he came to several minutes later the road was empty. The wolf tried to smell for his human but all he got was the scent of burning pepper.

That night he cried cradling the tin box until he fell asleep on the statue, in a prayer of his own. Hoping this would just be a dream.

* * *

The wolf mumbled through his lips something intelligible. The two just laid there stuck in old memories. Chase was still trying to process the events when he heard sounds at coming from down the hallway. Hunter's ear perked at that, it immediately swiveled to that direction.

“Speak of the devil." He rumbled, annoyed.

“What?" He heard the clicks, one by one the locks on the door came loose.

“This is a bit uhm awkward so uh stay here." The wolf manhandled his human, pick him up and trying to drag him to his sex room. Chase was almost about to fight him through this when he heard a familiar noises coming from the front door.

“Open the door! Why'd you latch it shut?" The pup snapped, kicking it in and probably peeking through the half opened entrance. Is that-? He gaped in surprise as his wolf deposited him onto the box of toys. The wolf growled irritably at the interruption, he closed the door and lumbered to the front.

“What're you doing here, its the weekends." He shot his pup as annoyed look, unlatching the top so it could fully open. “You should be at your mother's."

“I'm just here to pick up something I left okay- and ew gross. Why are you in your underwear." He made a disgusted noise. “You are such a slob."

“It's called a jockstrap." Hunter rejoined. “And I look damn good in it."

“TMI." The voice shuffled past.

Chase slowly turned the door open, just sliver to peek outside at the new intruder. His eyes widened at the sight of a familiar pre-teen. He thought the kid was older but now that he had a new frame of reference the pup might just inherited his father's size. The black and white wolf was wearing loose fitted clothes and shorts, on one shoulder slung a backpack, his fluffy ears poking out his baseball cap.

Mason Howle was walking to the room Chase had been in and was heard rummaging around, shouting incoherently, his sapphire blue eyes roaming every corner of the place.

“Ack. Ew gross did you sleep with someone else already? And in my bed!?" He spat while talking. “Mom's gonna be pissed."

The big wolf didn't bother to hide his nudity, he just crossed his arm and in an annoyed tone spat.

“Good. Maybe the bitch'll get a taste of her own medicine."

“Dad-!"

“I ain't your dad." He said that part practically shouting and with a low tone, almost as if trying to speak to someone else instead. “I can't believe I stayed for you."

“Y-you don't know that." Mason responded weakly.

“We will soon. Can't wait to get rid of you." He just talk at instead of to his son. “And where the hell is the box? You better return it or el-"

Chase could hear the boy pulling something out his box and hurl it to the floor with angry defiance.

“There! It's all junk anyways, stupid garbage didn't have anything valuable. Tried the drugs too but they didn't even do any-"

Boom! There was the sound of a fist smashing into a wall and several things falling to the ground. He heard a loud sound that stilled all protest, the moment was charged and things suddenly got very quiet. The moment was brief to everyone it must've felt like an eternity.

“You're lucky I didn't smack you for that." Hunter growled.

“D-da-" The voice whimpered.

“Out, you got your stuff right?"

“I.. y-yeah."

“Get the fuck out." That flat tone that brook no dissent and this time it was serious. “NOW."

Chase heard sniffling as he saw the form of Mason running out with something half tears starting to form around his blue eyes. The pup slammed the door and things got quiet again. Real quiet. The wolf came out the room a bit deflated himself, a tired expression plastered on his face. Then he remember something and started wagging his tail again.

“You can come out now."

The human came out in a stupor, shocked at what he saw. What is happening? He gulped at the massive wolf and the dent he made in the wall.

“Guess I'm not getting back my security deposit." He tried to joke but there was just an awkward stillness in the air.

“Mason is your kid?"

“Huh? You know his name? O.. oh right you told him the shortcut." The wolf grumbled, irritated. “He's not my kid."

“What's that supposed to mean?"

“Found out Sarah slept around in high school..." He spat. “Told me it was mine cause I had the best prospects. Got dragged into marriage to 'save face' and been stuck ever since. She admitted it after she came home from one of her new flings." He got angry at that, very angry. “I thought I was being responsible when I stayed."

“You didn't tell me?"

“Would you have stayed me if you had known? Would you let me run away with you if I told you? Besides, you kicked your losses and ran." He growled.

“Over ten years I stayed here..." He grumbled. “It was an obligation I never wanted, it was such a burden."

“B-but he's still your son. You raised him and all-"

“No, not really." He raised an eyebrow at the human like he was talking to a kid. “We're pack, we do things a little differently. I was underaged to begin with, so we had the den-mothers take care of him."

“Who's that?"

“Basically wolfesses who takes care of all the kids for the first few years, they act the role of nanny, pre-school, day-care. One of the perks of living in a pack. It's to simulate how wolves in the wild had litter-mates to play with." He shrugged. “I was raised the same way. Max and Greg were my 'litter-mates'."

Somehow that only made things make more sense. He's a bit… dysfunctional and emulating feral wolves... The human thought to himself.

“Didn't really interact with him till I was 18 then I had went to the academy."

“Hunter..."

“I got a DNA test." He said hopefully, tails wagging. “It'll be in a week or two and then I'll finally cut him loose." He was almost thrilled at that. “It's his fault I stayed."

The wolf cradled Chase and cuddled him deeply. “He kept me away from you..." The wolf was close to kissing him again when he got swatted in the face.

“The fuck!"

“You are unbelievable." Chase growled. “He's still your kid, you are not dumping him the first moment you get."

“W-what, but he's not mine!"

“Did you really hate every moment you spent with him?"

The wolf thought back the few moments he spent with his son. When those eye gazed up at him with puppy-like adoration and he sagged. “I-I don't know. Maybe."

“You're a piece of work y'know." Chase groaned.

“Christ you're turning into my mom!" He groused. “Like a deadbeat psycho, obsessive and single minded."

“I'm nothing like her, I'd never hurt you!" The wolf bared his teeth angrily at his human, but only got swatted again.

“That's the problem. Were you really holding out hope that I'd magically have a homecoming? Did you stay celibate or something while stockpiling your sex toys, hoping I'd be into it?"

“Oh no not at all." Tails wagging. “I have quite a few partners and sex slaves I kept around." That left the human stunned.

“I usually sneak out on the weekends to meet up with two or three. Was going to fuck one yesterday when you came." He almost sounded proud of that.

“Christ you're…" Chase's spluttered. “You're like a mix of your uncle and my mom." He groaned.

“I am nothing like those." The wolf snarled, hackles raising.

“Yeah you are, he's got his crazy outlet and you've got yours… he-"

“Oh yeah, I knew all the things he did." The wolf countered, this time on the offensive. “I have my flaws but what's your excuse?" He poked him.

“Wha-what?"

“You have a martyr complex or something? Maybe Kyle was right, you just love to suffer silently while looking like nothing's bothering you. I had to find things out from him the what he's done to you."

“What? He told you?"

“Oh yes… he did."

* * *

The fat wolf was drowning in his dish. He'd tried dieting again, it was a difficult habit to break eating so much all the time, but he saw his human again. It was the spark he needed to his head out of his ass. A part of him still despised him for how they broke things off, but the years had healed those wounds somewhat. And his jealousy was getting to him, he would prove him that he wasn't a burden and irresponsible. That he was worth staying for! He chugged a meatball dish down his gullet in a single bite while pouting. He just in time for a big loping figure to climb up the stairs, panting and out of breath and the distance he had to make. It was his little rebellion to choose the seat so high up.

There was the looming figure of his uncle, the only one who stayed.

Since Hunter had gotten bigger his uncle mostly stopped with the physical abuse. His marriage and the production of an heir to the Howle line satisfied his uncle for a time. But after he gained all that weight the wolf had a different avenue of attack. It was hypocrisy at it's finest but somehow he'd managed it, after all the wolf was much older and had a load of excuses.

He was munching on a drumstick when the fatass spoke up.

“You're gonna eat yourself to death boy!" The sheriff pulled out an adjacent chair and got down on it. They were the only two in the up stairs, they had the privilege being so high up in the hierarchy and this was a wolf own restaurant. His uncle was already getting wasted, he'd even done so before his shift was over.

“Be damn glad I got you that position boy. Hic." The elder Howle grumbled deep into a deep plate of pasta, wolves are voracious eaters and the Howle boys were always big eaters. Now more than ever. Hunter just gave him a sour look before munching down another dish, this time beef empanadas and fishing around some blooming onions.

“Took a lot of convincing to make get the others to appoint you under-sheriff." Brock harrumphed. “They thought you were too inexperienced but I said I wasn't gonna leave my position, and you will be following me around more from now on."

That put him in a foul mood. He shoved a drumstick down his mouth and only bone returned.

“I'm gonna be running for mayor. Hic." He said. That got the wolf's attention.

“Another two years, win reelection, then after that I'll run for mayor the following year. You'll get the position of sheriff when I abdicate."

That devious fat shit. He was going to resign and hand the position over to him, he'd be impressed if his mind wasn't a thousand miles away on something else. He eyed the television in the corner showing an episode of Legion, his tail wagging.

Brock let out a happy barking laugh. “Then it'll be the two of us running this town! Hic. Maybe I'll hire that stupid fox as my assistant!" He was already planning ahead like he was gonna win.

“Then I'll retire as Alpha and get placed in the council. You take on the role as new alpha, then we'll own everything, the elder's already eat up what you say. Hic. We have the vote, with you marrying a non-pack wolfess the other dogs will be more receptive to you. The Tailend don't hate you either, you really do have the looks kid. Too bad you wasted it being such an obese fuck. Hic." He swatted away a drumstick and took it from his nephew's paw.

Ambitious fat ass, his wife really did a number on him. Hunter glared daggers are the oblivious wolf.

“Who knows, maybe I'll even run for governor after that! Hic. Town's getting big I tell you. I heard a few notable individuals are already planning on having a second home here. We'll be the Aspen of the north! A year round resort town!" He grinned.

This tub of lard's ego really knows no bounds. Hunter reeled at the idea of having to be Alpha, he did not like doing more work. It was hard enough pretending at home, his obesity had initially staved off the bitch, but now that she was sleeping around he didn't feel the need to put up that front anymore. He grabbed a fistful of shrimp tempura, dipped them in an assortment of sauces and dump them into his muzzle.

The show now showed a very shirtless 'Grayson' with sweaty abs showing after the Tower had been attacked by supervillains. He eyed the human with hunger and envy. Why did he get to leave? He'll try losing weight again… tomorrow!

“You like watching that shit? Hic." His uncle interjected, Hunter shook from his reverie.

“What bullshit is this anyways, you need to watch more fur only shows." He growled. The wolf eyed Chase looking with consternation and running through rubble looking for survivors.

“Hah what a loser, like any human can compare to us." He nudged his nephew. “Hic. He reminds me of another pansy."

Does he know? That surprised Hunter.

“Heh, you really should be thanking me. You're a fat ass shit for brains, I saved your ass on more than one occasion."

“Like when." Hunter grumbled.

“Remember when you said you lost your bat? Well that pansy kid actually took it, you know the one, he ran away."

That got his Hunter, how'd Brock know Chase had it? He'd been so afraid to go back to the village to retrieve it so there it stayed.

“Yeah, broke into some rundown building in the old village. Turns he was fucking an older dog, crazy right? Just like his mom that one. Hic."

That wasn't how he remembered it.

“Yeah, caught him vandalizing windows with your bat. Like he can actually get out through there." The fat ass huffed. “I would've totally broken his legs if Sal weren't there."

That sent shivers down his spine.

“Yep, told him to stay the hell away from you. But then you started messing him with so I thought that worked just as well. Hic. Still, sent him a message every now and then at his job." That got a sadistic smile out of him.

His mind reeled at that.

“I knew he was a freak when he was fucking men twice his age when he was that young. Then I find out he's fishing out your jockstrap? What a fucking faggot that one, a fairy and a masochist. I told you to stay away didn't I? Was I right or what? Hic." The wolf grumbled.

Things were starting to fall into place.

“Yeah that night I went to his job, waited till he got off work and punched his lights out. Thought he got the message then. Didn't hear a peep out of him for the almost two years. You should really be thanking me. Hic." Brock droned on.

What he said that night he left.

“The real kicker? That night at prom, I told you not to try anything funny. You get voted prom queen and you get drugged, shit's poetic. I didn't think the little shit had the balls to do that. You're like I came backstage when I did, caught him fondling your dick. Heh guess us Howle boys are just gifted down there huh? Hic." He took a deep gulp, finishing the last of his drink and starting another one. “Yeap, the fucking freak was gonna rape you. You never know what those weirdos pick up, especially with a mom like that. Guess he reversed your prank, one upped you good. If I hadn't been there you'd be fucked, literally. Haha. Hic!"

The wolf stood frozen in place, almost anticipating what's going to be said next.

“So I taught him a lesson, real good one too. Dragged him to the front and tied him to the stage ropes. No one fucks with the Howles! And thank god I did, he's gone for good thing time. You have me to thank for that one pup."

His blood ran cold. Not again. Something snapped inside.

“Honestly if he hadn't been where he was I might've shot him on the spot. Or hell, maybe I should tie his ass and dump him in the Kennels, I hear that place's got some sick fucks down in the basement. Hic. Just the right for his kind." The elder Howle grinned gleefully, he gulped down another bottle.

All this while the wolf's head boiling over, a dark fire consuming him. First it was it dad, then his mother and now his human? When will this fat fuck stop taking!? It's starting to sound as if though the uncle were staying with him just so he could drive everyone else out.

Time passed indeterminably, the wolf hadn't picked up a single meal during that entire time. Meanwhile his uncle kept on drinking and eating, pigging out and ballooning a bit more once again.

“Heh about time you shtopped eating, you ffat little shhit. Hic." By now the uncle was so drunk he couldn't even form cogent thought. Hunter eyed him was murderous disdain, holding onto that fire the entire time.

Another short eternity passed before his uncle got off his seat and ambled towards the stairs.

“Shiitt I really need to pissss. Hic." He drawled out, taking slow tentative steps closer to the railing.

The wolf didn't even need a moment to think. No one was around, he didn't see any cameras. The restaurant was loud but not completely packed. He got up slowly, stalking in his uncle's wake, tails stopped wagging long time ago.

He crept up behind the person who had taken everyone good from his life and with prowled behind him with predatory intent.

The other wolf was completely wasted and it would take much to just topple over the edge. All he needed was… a little… push!

And Hunter pushed him over, down the precarious steps.

The fatter Howle was disoriented already, a small push was all it took, and he tumbled down the stairs like a boulder barreling down two flights of stairs, hitting his face on the cold metal railing several times before a loud crack could be heard. The nephew just gave him one cold look before quickly returning to his seat, no one else none the wiser.

It was about time he stood up for himself. His uncle wasn't worth it anyone… But now he had no one to be around anymore. He didn't trust his family, his friends, his pack no one. Everyone else had left, because of him. He took a drumstick in his paw, then looked up at the screen. The image of his human picking up a survivor from the rubble and smiling to the camera got his tail wagging again.

No that's not true, his human didn't leave because of him. He was driven away! All he needed was a chance to get him back. The wolf looked at the platter of food eyes scanning all the empty plates and half eaten dishes, suddenly in disgust. He looked at the television one last time then looked down at his belly. He poked it one, then dropped the drumstick. Downstairs voices could be heard shouting at the crumpled heap. He wondered if the fat ass croaked… no that would be too merciful an end. He got his phone out and thought about renewing his gym membership as the dial for the hospital rung.

“Yes, I'd like to report an emergency."

* * *

He remembered that night crystal clear and it changed how he dealt with things.

“You should've told me about what he did to you." The wolf grumbled, his power arms crossed around his chest, those massive pectorals moving with his motions.

That felt like an accusation.

“What? Did you think you would've stood up to him? Could you have done anything to stop him? I'd just be adding more things for you to worry about, and I know you hate him enough already." He tried to reason. “I-I didn't want you to have to choose. Between him and this town, just for me." He sagged. “I didn't want to know." He looked away from his big wolf and muttered out. “It was easier to push you away."

“That was not your decision to make!" The wolf growled out.

“Well? Would you have? Back then?" He shot back, and Hunter recoiled.

“I… I don't know." He admitted, chastised but return some defiance of his own. “But you never gave me the chance!"

Hunter struggled at the admission, dammit he should've just lied. His human always got to him somehow, he just want to desperate keep him close and never let him out of his sigh again. It was instinctual, primal.

“Well now we'll never know."

“Guess not."

“W-where is your uncle anyways? Why are you the new sheriff? Oh god he's not the mayor is he?" Chase shot out volleys of questions.

The wolf cradled his human between his bare pectorals, and pet his head gently.

“You won't have to worry about him anymore. I took care of him for you." He smiled beatifically.

“What… what do you mean?"

Hunter caught him, and just replied. “He had a little accident. Broke his knee or something, they say he'll never walk again. Been in a wheelchair ever since." Hunter hugged Chase a little tighter. “He'll never hurt you again." A dangerous glint appeared in his eyes. He didn't know if what he did was out of the spur of the moment of if some random opportunity presented itself he would've done it then. But…

“I don't regret it. I'll do it again. I said I would protect you and I will, this time."

That looked in his eyes said he meant every word, and Chase shuddered. Was this always Hunter the knew, or some warped version that was an amalgamation of all his paranoia and manias? He didn't know but some part of him didn't care. But the larger part…

Chase gripped his hands around the big lupine's face and gently petted it.

“You shouldn't have. I-I could've protected myself."

“You obviously didn't know him as well as you thought. He was very ambitious near the end, if you came back to town and ruined it. That wolf would've went apoplectic."

“I don't need your protection." Chase growled back weakly.

“Yeah you do." Then he added. “And you might need more."

“What's that supposed to mean?" He sounded worried.

“Kyle knows." His eyes sparked dangerously. Chase gaped. “Yeah he saw you didn't he? Recognized you at the bar. He say's he's made up with you cousin but I don't believe him."

“Huh?"

“Yeah, he called me you know. I got him to stop spreading the news you were back." The wolf loomed. “You still need my protect even now little one."

“I.. I don't know..."

“Do you want me to deal with him?" He asked almost perfunctorily, every inch of his taut muscular body still. Like a steel coil ready to loose. “I made him my personal bitch you know. Had him eating out the palm of my hand, he does all my grunt work and worships the ground I walk on. Another thing I need to apologize for. Want me to take him someplace where we're all alone?" His tail wagged at that.

What the hell is with him?

“N-no. I, I need some time to think."

“B-but." Hunter whimpered.

“I need some space, I think I'll go walk around a bit."

“D-don't go! I did all this for you."

“That's the problem. You didn't even know I was coming back and you still planned for it like some foregone conclusion. What? Were you expecting your minor celebrity ex-boyfriend to drop in and pick you up from your mess and fix everything again!? Leave this place with you and go someplace far away?" He got his suit back, stared at the tin box on the ground one corner dented and tried to ignore it. The stupid pup kept it! On the ground rolled slightly into the bed was his baseball bat.

“I..." The wolf spluttered as Chase got his clothes on one at a time. He fished around for his cell phone and only found the stupid letter his mother gave him. Not the time, and continued his diatribe to the stunned wolf.

“Or were you expecting me to stay here, with you and give up on my future? Do you plan on coming out with me, what will everything think?" He growled and groaned. Hunter was making this very difficult, a part of him telling him this was a huge mistake.

This time the words stung at him, the wolf chagrined. Did he really not want to stay after all? Was he not enough? Chase was putting on his clothes one by one.

Hunter's eyes went wide and he started to lose his senses.

“W-wait." He lumbered forward.

“Listen." He poked the panicking wolf in his belly. “I'll… I'll come back but for now I need some time to think okay?"

Hunter was feeling skeptical, all his fears were coming to the forefront of his mind. The creature inside his mind told him to pounce, to take what is his and never let go. To lock him up and throw away the keys. He had so many toys in the other room just for this right moment. The wolf scanned there in half panic.

Maybe he'll train his human all special like, he'd gotten good and making the most stubborn sluts into needy bitches. He's done it to bigger males too. They always put on airs at first, but then they come back begging for more, pride bent and broken. He remembered one time where-

“Hunter? Where's my phone anyways?"

He shook from his thoughts at his name. The wolf gazed at the human checking his suit and he remembered.

“It's… there." He loped to his futon, underneath all the blankets and got it out. The phone was almost fully charged.

“You kept it." The wolf whispered, touching it covetously like there was still a thread binding the two together.

“Oh yeah, I guess I did, it-it reminded me of you." He said cheesily, trying to sound nonchalant about it. “Didn't really get the chance to take much else when I left. Sorry again about the spray…"

The paranoia dimmed but it was still at the back of his mind.

“It's fine… h-here..." He shuddered, almost afraid to part with the last thing connecting the human to this place.

Chase for his part saw the pained look and sigh, there still might be his old pup down there in that mess.

“You have my number?" He asked.

The wolf nodded, he also put hi own phone number in there, the first thing he did after he powered up the phone.

“You used the same password too." His tail wagged again. “My birthday."

“I just never had to switch phones." Chase shrugged awkwardly, then he blushed. “Wait… are you checking my phone!?"

“Just to make sure you didn't have a boyfriend or anything."

“Oh god, I'm starting to regret this."

“S-sorry!" He got a panicked look. “I only did to add my number to your phone. Everything else was by accident." Chase was skeptical at but didn't want to call him out. Hunter handed it over and Chase just swiped it like a gremlin. Checking if everything was okay, the battery read 78% and none of his settings were changed that could be observed.

He was rounding the corner to leave when he saw the big wolf just standing there absolutely crestfallen looking like he might be on the verge of doing something both would regret. Another harebrained scheme perhaps? No this time he would need to shut that down in the bud.

He sighed once again. He turned to the wolf and handed him something.

“This is the letter my mom gave me." There was an indentation of something on top. “Keep it, I'll want it back."

“That's not a very good parole bond." The wolf grumbled.

“What are you my jailer?" The human shot back. “Fine!" He spluttered and got out something else.

“This is my wallet, I'll be coming back for it." He grumbled. He took out enough cash to do be comfortable.

“Where are we anyways?"

“Near the Tailend, near Ninth and Roy's" The wolf wagged, sniffing the wallet. He thought about marking it but thought better, maybe when the human wasn't around.

“If you want me to even consider anything with you, you need to sort out your shit with your kid."

“He's not my-"

“Just don't be a dick. Maybe he isn't if and when that time comes you can leave on amicable terms, but stop treating him like shit. He didn't choose who his parents were. If you're not going to do this for him… do it for yourself or I dunno for me? Closure is important or something, look I'm just as fucked as you so I probably shouldn't be offering advices but make sure that kid doesn't turn out like me." The human gave a sour frown to him. “Or god forbid, like you..."

“O-okay." The wolf muttered. “Where are you going to?"

“I'm walking around! I've been doing that a lot lately it seems."

“You're not going to find someone else to fuck are you!?" The wolf randomly sputtered.

“Wha? No! Where'd you get that idea?"

“I dunno you flirted with Jackson the day you came back..." He whined.

“I-it was complicated. I was reminiscing about old time, and was really drunk. Beside you telling me you wouldn't have fucked him?" He retorted, blushing profusely.

“Uhmm… maybe." Hunter admitted, he wondered if a top like Jackson would provide an interesting challenge. His tail was wagging at the thought. Chase didn't want to think about whatever the wolf was imagining, shit maybe it'll be hot but…

“Besides I was going to check up on you today even if we hadn't met. I thought you were y'know married and didn't want to out you. I wasn't even sure if you were interested. Also with your uncle… I was a bit scared." Chase continued.

“Oh Okay. But now that you know, you're not allowed to flirt with anyone else!" The wolf said jealously.

“We're not even together, w-what's your deal?"

“Well we did have sex last ni-"

“I was drunk, drugged, and horny. You really wanna start -"

“Ok ok, but nothing happens until you return. Please?" That wounded look always got to him, how he managed that while being nearly 8 feet tall Chase will never know.

“Geez fine, it wasn't like I was going to do anything of the sort."

“Promiseee?"

“Christ, I promise. You promise not to stalk me around town?"

“O-ok."

“Good I'll be going now!"

“Oh! Uhm and I erm might've left a gift for you on your phone." The wolf sounded weakly.

“What!? What did you do?" The human shouted exasperated. “Is it a virus? It better not be some sort of stalking app to track me!"

“N-no nothing like that!" The wolf protested. Damn he should've thought of that! “Just uhmm..." He blushed a little. “Some pictures."

“Huh?" Chase gave him a stupid look. “W-what kind of pictures?"

“J-just something to tease you with. You never did see me at my prime." He offered mischievously.

“You're uhm plenty big already." Chase's eyes lingered around those mountainous juicy pecs with large permanently erect nipples, those humongous arms, the cute gut which Hunter is now trying to suck in, down to his large bulge that seems to grow bigger every time he sees them. He glanced past them to those thick tree trunk thighs and calves so big it show from the front. Damn those feet are big, what size is he?

“I was bigger." He winked. Was the wolf still trying to seduce him? No! He wouldn't give in, he's still a bit off in the head! “Not as tall as I am now, but I was bigger." He winked.

“I'm going to go now." The human stammered. This time Hunter seemed a little less worried, he'd planted his horny seed, it just needed to grow.

The wolf stood there in his jockstrap and poked his stomach, all alone in his flat. Then he remembered what his human said and thought maybe that wouldn't be such a bad idea. He went to the bedroom and took out a bunch of stuff. Got dressed in something casual for once and left his apartment. It was also probably a good idea to take the old car and not his cruiser. It was his day off and dammit, he needs a break. Taking his, he texted his human just for reassurance. He saw three dots, then it stopped.

When he got to his car again the three dots returned. Putting the key in the ignitions the three dots disappeared. He frowned. Then the dot returned, telling him to mind his business. Tail wagging the wolf drove his car in search of his son.

Chase walk-ran to his home, thankfully the trauma of the school was dimmed a bit by other more pressing concerns. He thought back to earlier today and how he would sort out his feelings. Hunter was different, but also the same. The old harebrained ideas, kicked to eleven and that same needy puppy face but hiding a darker intelligence. The real question is, does he even want to be with him? Well… the short answer might be yes, the long answer is a maybe. The old feeling is still there, but he cannot help square the old with this new one. He grew a whole damn foot since they were gone.

That wasn't the only place that grew- no no bad thoughts!

Of course his inner horn-dog rared its horny head, he slowly rubbed his ass- the soreness fading but still there. It took less time now that he wasn't sulking, pass the old streets, pass that school, pass the graveyard and back to his old home. His mind juggling with all he had learned, did he even want to date someone with a kid? Chase kicked himself at the thought, he just told the wolf to reconcile with his kid and already planning on ditching? Huffing he thought about how it must've been for the wolf. He knew his parents were gone, he didn't even know where the mother went but the dad supposedly disappeared. Hunter was always clingy… Maybe being abandoned really hurt him at a fundamental level.

No, not your job to feel bad for doing what was right for you. But now that you're back, you should try to help him deal with his problems.

His stomach was grumbling by the time he go to his-Mabel's home. He didn't even bother knocking the door, just instinctively took the key from above his home and entered it shouting.

“Mabel? Mabel!" Chase went in expecting to find his cousin still sleeping but instead he saw his cousin and a very familiar wolf-

“Kyle!?" His eyes bulged. What the fuck is this shit heel doing at his home. He thought about giving his old friend another beating when he noticed the position he was in.

“Uhn..." The wolf-dog was resting his head on his cousin's lap, shirtless with some lean muscle definition. What the hell, why is every fur having it so much easier!? His nose was cupped and one eye blue.

“Oh hi Chase, I see you met my date." Mabel glanced up at him before tending to the bruised wolf.

“W-what.." He spluttered. “What the fuck..."

“Ch.. Chase!?" He opened his one good eye and stood up in surprise. Mortified like he got caught by the Marshall balls deep in his wife. “O-o god don't hurt me!" He recoiled.

“Stop moving so much, you'll get sore."Mabel tutted, treating him more like a domesticated dog than a sentient fur.

“Uh… this was not the homecoming I was expecting." Chase groaned, great more shit to deal with. Then he remembered. “You didn't blabbed about me to the whole town did you? You fucker!"

“N-no you broke my phone!" He yipped, hiding behind his cousin. Even though he's got to be at least a few inches taller and dozens of pounds heavier he's still such a pushover. Honestly Chase didn't know how he'd have to balls to follow the wolves around and trying to befriend them. “Good! You stupid mutt!"He growled more wolf-life than the half-breed.

And like any bad behaving wolf his cousin swatted him on the face.

“O-ow the hell."

“Geez you're just like Hunter sometimes." She rolled her eyes.

“He's just getting what's coming."

“Don't start, he's been doing that enough already. You need to start listening."

“Unbelievable, you know what he did!" Pointing accusatorily at the still half injured and cowering wolf-dog.

“Yes yes, and you should let him apologize to you." She pointed out.

“Why would I?"

“Because you need this as much as he does."

“I what?"

“You're both hurting, and that wounds been festering for over ten years. He's got his problems, and you've got yours. He's self-concious and a bit egotistical-"

“Hey!" Kyle whined at Mabel looking hurt.

“And you're prideful and a bit dense."

“Am not."

“Just… talk it out. If after you're still not okay with each other you can go back to hating each other, I'll go do my meditations. If you need me I'll be on the seventh plane of enlightenment."

The cousin left the room, leaving the two former friend awkwardly pausing and staring at each other.

“Hey-"

“Don't hey me." Chase muttered.

“Are you still mad?"

“God damn right I am!"

“You outed me in front of the whole school."

“I've been trying to apologize, you keep ignoring me."

“What that's worth."

“I-I can't make up the past, but I can try in the future." He whined. “I missed you."

“Are you just saying that because I'm more famous now-"

“God is that all you think I am? Some kind of glory hound!?"

“That seems to be all you did whenever we're together." He muttered.

“I just wanted to belong. Being a mutt..." He said that last part with great distate. “Means you're not pack of either pack. I just wanted to be part of something..."

“And what? Was I not enough?" Chase felt he was starting to sound like Hunter.

“That's not it. We're friends- well were but I need not just friends I also needed a place to belong. My parents still had their kins even after they got togethered, because they were still wolves and dogs. I didn't belong in either. Not until I got adopted." His tail wagged happily at the memory.

“So I was just filler?"

“That's not what I said..."

“Then what?"

“You're – were a friend. A really good one, the closest I had since I was a kid but there's a need us canines have to belong, in a pack and if we don't-"

“So I wasn't enough." He growled.

“Not saying that. I still need legs even if I've got hands, they're not mutually exclusive."

“So you want both, well then why'd you ditch me then? Out me like that?"

“I didn't, I mean that was afraid okay. I have a chance and the possibility of losing it got to me. We can't all be as brave as you."

That line again.

“I'm not brave-"

“Yea you are, sometime to a fault. And it wasn't just that we were ignoring each other more you've stopped visiting me too." He muttered. “We used to hang out late and night and after-school. You barely came over and avoided me sometimes.

“That was-"He almost spilled that all those time were him visiting with Hunter, and those avoidance were to not draw his attention.

“I didn't want to get in your way of you making new friends." He grumbled.

“You weren't you were just avoiding me." He whined. “I thought you hated me for trying to make other friends."

“Well I would since they're the ones bullying me." Grumbling.

“I'm s-sorry, I tried to get them off your back. Es-especially him but he always focused in on you, m-maybe he had a good reason?" Kyle tried to reasoned but Chase didn't return as favorable a look. “N-not that it would give him the right to do s-so."

“Yeah what's up with that." He shot. “That wolf's always on my ass but you still follow him around." Chase grumbled.

Maybe this was his own test.

“I-it's complicated. When I first starting hanging out with them- after the village. Max and Greg would always pick on me. Alpha hunter was the one who defended me." He muttered. “I don't know why he hated you but he always looked out for me."

Probably cus of me. He groaned, didn't realize the stupid pup was doing that behind his back.

“I am a bit of a coward." He gulped. “B-but my alpha protected me and didn't ask for anything in return. And you weren't there… So I had to pick a side." Kyle sniffled. “I just wanted to belong, with my own people. I didn't mean to hurt you, at most I was just stop seeing you and that would've been it."

“I thought I was fine just being pack-less, my parents were but they had their own circles they belonged to away from one another. It wasn't like that for me." The wolf-dog whined."I only had you for the longest time."

“I was going to break it off with them, it was exhausting to keep putting in the work and not being seen. Not being recognized. B-but then alpha I-I mean Hunter..." He said that almost reverently. “He gave me what I've always wanted. A pack to belong to."

“I-I got caught up in the excitement, I didn't mean to say those things to you." Kyle spluttered. “I just had my in and I took my chance. It just got over me."

“Guess I was collateral." He shot.

“I'm sorry, I can't make up for the past but I can make things right now." He said.

“How?"

“I'm leaving the pack."

“W-what?"

“I'm leaving it, it might've been for you before. But I'm also doing it for Mabel." The dog sighed. “I'm asking Hunter to do it." His tail wagged erratically like a hurt dog.

“B-but that is what you've always wanted."

“Still is." The wolf-dog sniffled. “But it's not fair to ask for something without giving, and they'd never accept me dating a human." He tail drooped.

Huh, is that why he refuses to come out?

“I-I'm sorry again." He murmured. “I know you wno't forgive me, maybe not yet or ever but I've aid my piece. And-" He gave him clarity through one working eye. “I can live with my mistakes. I'm sorry they happened but they're as much a part of me as the good."

“Kyle..."

“I hope Hunter isn't too disappointed." The wolf-dog said sadly. “You know the others gave him shit for the adoption, he had prove it in the gauntlet they did. Took a beating from four other people at once and still won. He was unconscious for the two week." He said with genuine awe. “Didn't want to tell me but everyone kept bragging about it. I asked him why and he just said I looked like I needed it. Maybe that's why he gives me shit. Cus I was more loyal to him than I was to you. He bullied you but I always got the impression he respected you."

“I'm… I gotta go."

“Oh okay, maybe we can chat again?" He looked eager through one eye.

“M-maybe."

He said that as if it was were a piece of cake and Hunter didn't even bother telling him the effort it took to do that. He had his own shit to deal with and still took on more cause I asked. Chase huffed. Why is he doing this to me.

“I'm gonna head out, maybe take a breather for the rest of the day. Good bye Kyle."

“Oh wait!" The wolf-hound shuffled out some papers.

“Mabel wanted to give you this."

“What is it?"

“It's the deed to the land your grandpa left you!"

“Ya know I read stories, can't believe you were related to the original Hills!" His tail wagged.

“I thought it was just a myth."

“Oh no, it's true. They came to this place with the other members of the original lycan pack. Including the Howles." He grinned. “Some of the stuff is obviously fake of course, like how they shape shifted in the moon and that their the king of the wolves were humans. But the historical stuff is just fascinating!"

“Uhmm yeah..."

“You know, your plot of land is awfully close to the sacred mount. I've been there a few times, but only the oldest members are allowed entrance to the summit." He grinned. “It was beautiful, especially – ah here it is!" The wolf-dog gave him the deed. “A few hundred acres isn't so bad, that's almost big enough for a farmstead. Hehe."

“Y-yeah… see ya."

“Bye Chase! I'll call you, maybe?" The wolf-dog tried tentatively.

“I'll think about it." He shout out. “Mabel! I'm going."

“Byeee." A voice coming from deeper in the house went.

He found his old bike where it always was and shout out. “I'm taking the bike!"

“Go ahead, Kyle fixed it!"

The human shot the wolf-dog a look who just wave good bye. Maybe he wouldn't forgive him right off, but it was a start.

Now where was that stupid wolf, his stomach was still grumbling.

Hunter drove around town, looking for his son and tried for several hours. No sign on the kid. He muttered under his breath. Once again the wolf took familiar routes as yesterday, this time more streamlined. It didn't take him long to catch the pup at the diner all alone, head bowed under his cap.

He looked a lot like him, all alone and hunched. Sighing the big wolf got out and lumbered in, thankfully the doe wasn't there. She'd give him an earful. Instead it was that stag again. Huh he lost his other horn.

“Well well if it isn't the sheriff!" The hornless deer eyed him up and down, sizing him up. He was shorter by more than a foot but he had that old man strength you didn't wanna test. Mason's eye shot up at that. He darted around and made a break for the door but the wolf grabbed him by the back and hauled him back to the booth.

“Stay boy." He muttered.

“I didn't mean to be-"

“Hush. We're ordering. What'll you want?"

“Huh?"

“Ye need yer ear checked?" He grumbled. Hunter grabbed his head and the pup curled in around himself. The huge paw proceeded to scritch his back.

“Didn't mean to get mad at you."

“N-no problem." The pup yipped. What's the old fart up to?

The stag was playing both cook and waiter.

“What're ya havin'?" He rumbled. He looked at the father and child and with paternal sense already grokked the situation.

“I'll have the usual. But double the sausages, and three more plate of waffles. What do you want?" He growled.

“I uh.. can we still get the breakfast special?" His tail wagged.

“I don't see why not." He got his order to a waitress bunny then eyed the kid and gave him a few quarters. “Hey why don't you get something from the toy vending machine?"

The boy eager to get away from his captor ran to the corner, deciding what to get between the gumballs and the toy figures. Gene slid into the booth and eyed the wolf analytically.

“I thought the Sheriff was a friendly bastard? You actin' like the kid's an angry constituent. You a shit dad huh?"

“I don't need this from you." He growled. “Last I heard Clara hated you for bringing her to this shithole."

“Aye, but that's my cross to bear." The stag elbowed him and Hunter couldn't but growl.

“Don't do that again."

“I'll do what I want kid, I should box you for being such a daft bastard." The stag shook his head then sighed.

“Pup yer barely older than that kid." He shook his head. “Didn't realize you had yer kid that young. I mean I knew but to see it. Grew up too quickly huh?"

More like none at all.

“I guess you could say that."

“Lemme guess you never wanted him. The younger ones never do."

“So what?" Mason was taking his sweet time and he took out a few more quarters from his own pockets.

“So, he can sense that shit."

“Does that matter?"

“Yes it does shitbird." The stag grumbled. “I don't know all the details but you gotta realize, he needs you. Maybe he'll grow out of it, heck Clara does. But for now you're the world to him. He's scared of you and he still looks up to you."

Kinda reminds you of someone huh? He started thinking of his own screwed up relationship with his uncle.

“Don't fuck him up, or he'll hope you croak over like mine does. Heh." The stag got up and went to the counter. Mason could tell his time was up and reluctantly returned.

“So..."

“What?"

“Got any hobbies?"

“Not really, I might join a team or something."

“I was in football ya'know."

“Yeah you only said it a thousand times." He rolled his eyes then caught himself. “Uhmm.."

“Relax."

They stood in silence for a bit then Mason began.

“Mom wanted to leave me with you… “ The pup croaked.

“What? But you're hers! I saw the stupid bitch give birth to you." He growled and saw the pup wince. “My bad."

“She couldn't stand the way I looked." He pointed to his blue eyes. “Say I look like you."

Deja vu. Is this really happening?

The food arrived, and the stag glared at him while serving.

I didn't want to be alone, but I was gonna do the same to him.

“She was hoping I was yours so she could dump me on you. And you were hoping for the same."

“No-"

“Yeah you were." And gave a sigh no kid should have the experience to give.

“Did I do something wrong?" He whimpered, completely deflating.

“I..."

You took me away from him!

“No… I… it's just."

“That I might not be your kid." The pup lamented.

“Y-yeah..."

“Well mom doesn't know or want to say who else it might be."

The wolves munched down on their meals in quiet contemplation.

Hunter eyed his 'son' and watched him eat the plate with a voracious hunger for someone twice his size.

Maybe he's more similar than I thought.

He drooped into the seat. It was unfair, he never got any time to enjoy being a kid. From disappearing dads to absent mothers to abusive uncle straight into fatherhood and marriage. No wonder he kept looking for bigger and kinkier escapes. Well… maybe he always had a kinky side but it reached unhealthy heights, he didn't even know if he could do a 'normal' relationship much less with his first and only lover. Maybe he's still clinging onto that hope, it was borderline behavior but his neurosis can't let it go.

“My dad left me when I was a kid, says I looked like my dad."

Mason turned to his father.

“Mom's says I resemble my uncle and dad too and was too afraid. I think they just didn't want me enough, that I wasn't worth staying around for." He took a big paw and pat the kid. “I'm sorry, my childhood was never normal. I thought it was okay to dump you on someone else cus you weren't mine."

“Still might not be."

“We'll cross that bridge when we get to it. I've been a pretty shit dad. So uhh until we know for sure, I'll do better."

“And after?"

He shrugged. “If you're mine, I'll keep trying. If not I'll help you when I can. Don't worry your mom, I'll check up on you whenever I can. I'm the sheriff after all!" He flexed a huge arm.

“Yeah for how long exactly? And thanks Hunter but I ain't buying." The pup sulked. “What's stopping you from paying lip service."

He's almost as petulant as you are. Wait I'm not -

He ruffled the pup's head who did not like having his hair tousled and grumbled out. “Fine don't believe me." He huffed. “Well I'm not entirely doing this out of the goodness of my heart! Maybe I just wanna one up that bitch, o-or maybe I want to run and that'll look good for voters."

“Well now we're getting somewhere!" Mason eyed him critically. “What do I get you old fart?"

“You can stay til after 2 am! No wait is that too late? Uhmm 1 am. You just gotta take my side in divorce and when I run you'll stand next to me. That bitch might be getting the house but I'm re-negotiating everything else, we'll gang up on that whore."

“Yeah she is a bitch but I already leave whenever I feel like it. What else?"

“You get the choice of dinner once a week."

“Twice, and I pick the dessert."

“One dinner, and one dessert."

“This is ridiculous, I'm walking-"

“F-fine two dinners a week." He grumbled. “But they have to be either at the burger place or one of the big biters, I'm not eating those tiny dishes at those new places." He huffed, he didn't think his wallet would support that.

“That's fine, I always prefer fast food anyways. Breakfast for dinner?"

“That's a given!" He growled. “Maybe we'll come here more often too!"

“I like the sound of that!" The stag shouted.

“Butt out, this is a father son moment!" He huffed while munching on a very stacked burger.

Mason's eye bulged at that.

“What?" He shot him a look.

“You said father and son."

“Well… I guess I did." He gave the youth his fries while grinning. “But I'd like it more if we're friends."

“You really suck at this." The pup mumbled. “Usually it's the other way around."

“Dads can leave you, you choose your friends." He shrugged, thinking about the result.

The two kids, one small and the other gigantic schemed at the diner, munching away while having idle conversation.

Chase thought about trying someplace new just for the variety but he's had a very long morning and honestly fast food was fine enough, he'd always find a restaurant he'd like and just frequent there until the staff practically know who he was. There was one place in town that he'd eaten more than once, that fancy place was okay but cheap practical food was his comfort food. When you grew up starving half the time you just get a bit stingy. The first time he'd got a paycheck from his acting gig he stretched that out by doing meal prep for a whole month, and the money wasn't a lot. Now that he had expendable money he couldn't handle wasting money on expensive bite size meals.

So it was no surprise when he showed up at the Hopper's again, just in time to see the scene of two wolves at a booth chatting away. He decided to not ruin the moment and stayed outside while watching the overgrown pup talk animatedly about something, probably comics or something. If anything Mason looked like the mature one. Chase tried to imagine with those two and thought about his own parents. Would he make a good dad? He never had one, and no role models growing up. Grandma did all she could but there was only so much an elderly woman can have in common with a kid. The boy had been the mature one, had to grow up sooner all his other peers. Thanks to that stupid pup, no doubt Sarah didn't help much. He'd seen her chasing the other wolves all the time at school.

If Hunter could accept him, that psychotic deranged and admittedly sexy puppy can do it then why not him? He wondered if the wolf would dump the pup at the earliest possible convenience if he finds out he's not him. Well that's not gonna slide by him the human huffed, he was thinking himself into a negative spiral. He saw the big wolf run to the car and was about to confront him when he saw Hunter pull something out of his car. A baseball bat. He dusted it off and went back inside, trying his hardest not to hide it while wagging his tail.

Mason obviously saw it but turned to gaze up when the wolf turned back from the car. Perceptive little one. When the elder Howle presented it to him, he got wide-eyed and grabbed it, swinging it around. Eugene got out from behind the counter to shout at the pair but Hunter seems to be encouraging the violent display, even showing him to swing from the hip.

Something his paternal side is really doing something for the human. Shit does he have a thing for dads? He shook his head, trying to square the circle in the hole when the smaller pup jumped up and ran out the door, waving to the bigger wolf enthusiastically. He ran into Chase and eyed him up and down.

“Hello old fart."

“Hey you. Did you remember your promise?"

“If you mean If I did anything to that building, I did not." Then chagrined the pup turned. “That doesn't mean the others didn't."

It was then that his phone rung, the pup looked down on it and smiled at whoever was calling him. Picking it up he answered. “Hey, what's up? Hold on. What again? The hell did he do. Ugh I'm coming!"

He was about to bolt when the human took him by the arm. The pup returned him a raised eyebrow.

“My dad's the sheriff."

“Calm down, you going somewhere?"

“Yeah what's it to you?"

The human stood back, and gestured to his bike.

“You want?"

“You're not getting in my pants."

“You are a cheeky little shit." He grinned. “Reminds me of someone else."

The pup did not look the gift horse in the mouth, he hopped up on it and at first thought it wouldn't match his height but it was only slightly longer than him.

“Thanks old fart!" He biked off, riding into the heart of town.

“I'm not that old." Chase frowned at the accusation.

“Yeah you are." A familiar voice huffed behind him. “When you're the same age as his dad that'll happen."

“Christ, I keep forgetting how young you had him." The human turned around to face those huge pecs at eye level. He blushed at them, those hard nipples showing through the white shirt. Looking up to see the face of a more mature Hunter, or was he just being responsible now? The wolf started getting that shit eating grin when the human stared at him too long, tails wagging. Nope, still a giant puppy. “Damn, you're big."

“You like? I had the talk and everything. I'm responsible now aren't I?"

“M-maybe."

“I'm a real father and shit now, aren't I?"

“Mhm..."

The wolf seemed to pick up on that, his sex senses tingling.

“You like that huh? Mature, responsible, reliable, protective, like..." The wolf got closer to his human and whispered. “a daddy?"

“Uhmm..."

“You want me to cuddle you in night and make you feel at safe?" He murmured lewdly.

“You are not peddling fatherhood as a kink." The human muttered.

The big wolf just got closer and starting rambling a list of adult stuff. “401k, mortgage, fiscally responsible, budgeting, pristine lawns, power tools…" He edged to a whisper. “... a big deck."

“Okay now you're fucking with me." The human grumbled at him. He got a back further and realized what Hunter was wearing. “And why are you dressed like a lumberjack?"

“What? It's just a shirt and flannel." He huffed. Those denim shorts were very form fitting and it did nothing to hide his sizable bulge.

“Uh huh..."

“You hungry right? Come come!" The wolf grinned at him with glee, his shirt big enough to wrap the human's face when he turned. He brushed it away hiding his blush.

They went back in, the big wolf's meal only half done.

“Oh heya Casey! Looks like the friendly sheriff's showin' you 'round huh?" The stag called out to him.

“Hello Gene, lost both your antlers huh?"

The stag rubbed his nubs. “Yep, I'm planning on throwin' them away." He huffed through his nose. “Clara says I've been keepin' too many at home." He sniffled. “Was my finest growth too."

“I'll take it!" Hunter jumped at the chance, he was practically salivating at the idea.

The stag stared at him. “I forgot what kind of town I moved into." He muttered. “They're still a bit bloody, let me clean-"

“Don't worry your little head. I'll take them off your hands." The big guy lumbered into the kitchen and could be hear rummaging around.

“W-wait up, don't mess around with my thing!" The deer went back to protest at the wolf's intrusion.

Several moments later a happy Hunter was sitting across from his human like an antler clean while the stag stared at him in horror. The wolf took the end where it was broken and nibbled at the spot clean. The human was both intrigued and disgusted.

“You're weird." He murmurred. “I don't think I've seen other canids do that."

“Mlem those aren't real wolves." He huffed. “Real wolf packs bite real bones, I hear it's one of the reason's we grow bigger than those city slickers." He grinned, there was a hint of pink on one of the canines.

“Yeah well can you not do it now? I want to keep my appetite." He shuddered at those fangs, they are both terrifying and fascinating. The wolf reluctantly placed them to the side much to the deer's relief. He got back a few minutes later with the human's order, and refilled some of the wolf's.

“Man, I forgot how much you eat." His eyes bulged at the fistful of morsels shoved down the beast's gullet and wondered where they all went. He saw the belly and it hadn't move an inch.

“More like you humans don't eat much." The wolf groused through a mouthful. “I eat through 2,000 calories like it's nothing, that's like half a snack." He guffawed.

“Are you sure it isn't just going somewhere else?" Chase poked that belly, it was soft at first but almost instantly firmed up. That was a surprise.

“D-don't do that here." The wolf whimpered.

“Oh right." He rolled his eye. “I forgot."

“That's not fair." Hunter hissed back. “You're not either!"

“I have a p-professional reason." He answered back chagrined. “It's not permanent, I'll do it when I'm established."

“Uhuh and maybe I want to run for sheriff." His lips pouted a bit. “Double standard much?"

“N-not that same. I'm not married, I've had..." He whispered, leaning in closer."... b-boyfriends, no one asked so I didn't need to say anything."

“A lie by omission is still a lie." The wolf replied sagely head also drawing closer. “And… maybe I'll tell people."

“Uhuh when? Last time you promise I'm still waiting a decade." He edged.

“That's not fair you left and I had a kid on the way. No where else to turn to." A likewise gesture.

Before they realized it they were almost face to face, and shot back.

“Last time you tried you were drunk."

“I needed a boost. And I was ready to go through with it wasn't I? B-besides, things were different the last decade." Hunter somehow managed to speak while he had a large burrito down his throat.

“Yeah like what?"

“W-well I didn't have you."

“Agh.. ahmm." He ruffled his hair in a blush. “Christ this is cheese overload." The wolf just continue his wag.

“L-let's table this later. I've talked to Kyle."

“Y-you have? What'd he do? Do you want me to drag him out somewhere and-" He offered amiably, the wolf had yet to use a utensil all meal. His claws were red with ketchup, a sausage speared through each meaty digit's claws.

“God no."

“Oh heh I was kidding!"

“No we sort of made up a bit."

“Really? That's a surprise…" He scowled. “I still don't like him, well hate him less." He frowned through a mouthful of bacon.

“Well yeah I still kinda punch him in the face."

“We could do that, I'll hold him down-"

“Stop."

“Okay." The wolf was hunched and eye his human with unblinking eyes.

“Why'd you never told me what you did to get him into the pack?"

“Huh? You asked so I did it." The wolf shrugged. “It took a bit but I got it in the end. Did you tell him it was you who asked me to?"

“No."

“Why not? That surprised him, his maw around a platter of pancakes.

“I-I don't want him image of your spoiled." Chase frowned. “You kind treat him like garbage."

“Yeah, so? He is, deserves it for what he did to you. I only kept him around cus I get to mess with him. He kinda needs a beating."

“Maybe, and don't you worry about that part Jackson beat you to the punch." Hunter did remember that, he wagged a little more. “But you've seen the way he looks at you. Almost the way you look at me." That was a thought.

“Don't compare me to him." The big wolf frowned at the thought. They were nothing alike!

“Oh really? You both had something you wanted, and you both were willing to do things to get them. Why is what he did worse than what you did?

“Cus he hurt you doing it."

“Well you did too." The human offered, that stung the big wolf. “I mean most of the time your helping hurt me more than it did good."

Hunter sagged at that. Chase patted him on the shoulder. “Cheer up, I think I can forgive you both. After all I am a generous god." He smirked.

“D-does that mean we can get back together?" His tail wagged furiously at the thought, for the first time not gorging himself.

“S-shush!" He looked around, the wolf also a little caught out himself. No one was watching them, a bunch of rowdy people after Sunday's mass was there and the waitress looked like she wanted to kill herself. Eugene was busy in the kitchen trying to meet demands with elderly furs and their grandchildren who were thankful for no longer being preached to. That brought back memories.

“S-so does it?"

Chase looked at him, his first love and maybe only love, those deep soulful blue eyes, and those puppy eyes. He frowned at him. This is one damaged wolf, and he's got baggage, oodles of them. Does he really want to wade into that mess? Will he have to stay here, will the wolf come with him? He really didn't have any idea. Hunter started flexing a little, his wide shoulders strained his shirt. He had his sleeves rolled up to his arms, they weren't even buttoned and they were on the verge of tearing. His forearms were very defined, he could make out each muscle group the shorter arm fur. Now he was doing pec bounces, each one forming into near perfect orbs and making his nipples point perfectly down. Cheeky bugger.

The man wondered who this new person in front of him was, how much he had strayed from his old self and how much had stayed the same. Maybe they'd miss their chance a while back, can he even have a normal relationship with someone like him? The wolf was hyper sexual for so long he wondered if he could even do normal. Did he always need to be in control to be secure? Will he get jealous of his co-stars? What happens when he's not around for a long period of time. The questions swam in his head. And he thought he might have an answer.

“No."

“Wha-" The wolf's eye bulged at that, an instant fear of panic in his eyes.

“The answer is not, I-I don't think we can pick up where we left off." He sighed. “That old Hunter is gone, or maybe he's not there at all. We never had a relationship outside of our hangouts haven't we? I don't think we even had a regular date. Just two teens love and losing in each other to escape." He smiled at the memory.

The wolf was nearly catatonic.

“I-is that your answer…?"

“Yeap, no going back." He wondered at the giant lupine's answer.

“I… I see..." Hunter sagged down, and looked like he was punched in the gut.

Stop dragging it out.

“Yeah, I'm happy with letting the past die. With the memories of that old wolf that haunted my dreams for years even after I've left."

He'd spent the entire time while here just thinking, reminiscing, about the good the bad. But they've haunted him for so long, every time he fell asleep. The scars of the past clung to him and poisoned all the relationships he's had. Every time something good would happen he'd run the gamut of what if's and maybes til he ended up miserable. He's had enough of thinking about them and coming back had given him a clarity that was missing before.

“I'm done chasing wolves."

Chase gave a beatific grin, wondering how much things had change yet stayed the same. Hunter was now hiding his face in his giant hands, shoulders quaking.

He put his hand on the wolf's head and tousled it.

“But..."

Hunter ear twitched at that, one eye nearly to tears.

“I think we can start anew." He shrugged. “If you want me back, you're gonna start from zero."

“C-chas-" The wolf was almost ready to lunge at him but the human swatted him face, the wolf was blubbering half inconsolable half ecstatic.

“Nu uh. That is now how you make a first impression."

“Mmm." The big lug sniffles. “N-no I guess not."

“You have your problems and I have mine. Uhh maybe you have a lot more. But if you want this to work, you need to work on yourself."

“I-I will!" He was almost afraid to ask.

“And you need to make up with Kyle and Mason. They're the reasons I'm giving you a try."

“O-okay!" His tail was helicoptering like crazy.

“You do understand this is does not mean we're together yet. This is just the trial period." He huffed. “Don't make me get buyer's remorse."

“Heh, you don't have to worry about that. I'll make it worth your while."

“Well… nice to meet you." He looked around some more, one of the older ladies was asking to speak with a manager, before continuing again. “I'm Chase Hill, I'm an actor and I got by my screen name Casey Meadows." The man extended his hand out.

“H-hi." The wolf calmed himself down, got collected and inhaled deeply. Somewhere in the deep recesses of his being he managed out the calm professional and mature person he always tried to be and shook the hand. “I'm Hunter Howle." He gave a knowing grin. “I've been called many things, friend, bully, jock, boyfriend, classmate, confidant, protector, but now I'm all those things and also a sheriff, ex-husband, hot mess, and a father." His tailed wagged. “And yes, the profile picture is real." He grinned.

“Hunter-"

“Kidding kidding, don't tell me you lost your sense of humor!"

“No bu-"

“Oh I know what you want." The wolf grinned some more and in an instant his demeanor change, the playful puppy was gone and in its stead was an entirely different person. He didn't know which it was this time, the manic paranoid, the boyfriend, the worrier, or is it the dominator?

“You want the responsible, tough, confident, firm but kind dad don't you?" He said with years of experience more than he really should have. The wolf got closer to his face and grinned. That knowing smile, that quiet confidence and a knowing look. Chase admitted something stirred in him, but only to himself.

“S-stop that. You really are a horn dog."

“Takes one to know one." He dropped the facade almost instantly, tail wagging and tongue sticking out.

“Can I have my stuff back now?"

“A-aw but I-"

The human raised his eyebrows.

“R-right." The wolf dropped them onto his palm. He scanned them just in case.

Huh they're all there.

He tried to pay for the meal but Hunter was obstinate, that was until the wolf realized he forgot his wallet.

“Oh poop."

“You're making a very bad first impression." He said smugly as he dropped the tip, the wolf was just standing there with both hands on each horn, deflating a bit. The pair bade Eugene goodbye as they left the diner.

“Oh I almost forgot, I got to check out this new place."

“Huh? Where's that?"

“Grandma left it in my will, a homestead or a cabin in the woods. You know where is it?"

The handed the wolf the deed.

“Ah, it's pretty close-" He kept his mouth shut before anything else could help. He turned to his human.

“You're right, I've made a shitty first impression."

He got closer his my human and whispered.

“I know you said to let the past die but..."

He tickled his neck. “I think I owe you a date."

By the time the pair drove up to the place it was late noon. The structure was a cozy looking building, it was surprisingly big and looked like it could fit even fit Hunter snugly. The big wolf gaped at the place, it was a bit worn around the edges but looked maintained up until a few years ago. What was odd was how there were no signs of damage or rot and no creatures had made it their home. All in all the building looked more like a tiny manor than a cottage. There were several plants that now ran wild across the building. One he recognized as wolfsbane.

Chase walked up to the structure, the heavy forest canopy shading it half in shadow. He had changed out of his suits earlier, into his last casual wear instead. Alex helped him check out, smiling all the while looking at Hunter apprehensively. The wolf had just waved dumbly back at him who energetically returned the gesture.

Chase pulled out an ornate key, it was way too gaudy but that was the lock the door had. The pure solid block of finely crafted oak didn't even creak at the opening. Walking across the threhold he felt something overwhelm him, as if he was walking out a wind tunnel though no air ruffled his clothings. Chase half expected the inside to be collecting dust and that it would be a dingy backwater but everything was clean and up furnished, the style was a little out of date. He found a switch and flicked it. The lights flashed and blinked several times like they were being awoken from a long slumber until they were shining bright.

“Who's been keping this up to date?"

He gawked, the inside looked much roomier than it appeared on the outside, on the threshold of the doorway he noticed a strange set of symbols that look tribal, probably with mystical connotations. It was a large spacious living area made to fit furs taller than even Hunter and had a skylight that let in nightlight, he could see the moon slowly showing even though it was still dusk outside. He opened the fridge thinking someone had been living here. Nope it was empty and it's outlet was unplugged. He gesture at the wolf who easily moved it back, plugged it in then re-positioned it again.

Maybe have huge wolf for a boyfriend wouldn't be such a bad thing.

“This is weird, I could've sworn I would know of a place this close to pack lands." The wolf scratched his head.

The structure was sequestered deep at the end of an abandoned road and the way had gone grassy several hundred feet back. Chase was at first unsure but Hunter was certain of the location.

“Maybe you just overlooked it." He shrugged, like he knew what wolves did.

“Nuh uh, we sometimes go running around near here several times. I don't think we've ever detected any place standing here before."

“Oh well, it's sure spacious. You even got headroom." The wolf just gaped at having ample headspace after being stuck for so long in that dingy apartment. He ran around taking in the sights, like a big puppy. There was a guestroom and a larger room with a massive bed that could fit half a dozen humans comfortably. Both rooms also have markings on their thresholds. The frame was sturdy as the large lupine hopped on it, Chase almost reflexively flinched at the coming damage but the bed took it like a champ.

Hunter seemed to be bouncing on it playfully, or that was what Chase thought at first until he started to blush. The wolf was miming the motion of thrusting, his bulge pounding into the sheets. He was going at it hard for several seconds before slowing down, an indentation where the battery occurred, turning his face to his human he smiled seductively.

“Wanna give it a ride?"

“Is this your idea of a date?"

“I could give you foreplay if you want." He had both brows raised.

M-maybe later. He went around back to the living space, most of the structure was sturdy oak and rock, it looked infinitely better than any McMansions with their dry walls and cheap construction.

There were two other doors on the opposite side. Opening one of them was a bathroom. It too was spacious, and like the other rooms had markings over its threshold. The medicine cabinet opened to several odd looking trinkets including dried plants, a vial, some bones, and a variety of what must be fake gemstones. He'd need to throw those out. The bathroom was similar to Hunter's in that it was a giant depression in the ground rather than a bathtub. The partition was generous and there were several windows high up for ventilation. The shower head was surprising high, it was attached to the ceiling and when he turned in on gaped. The water hit like a torrent or a small waterfall, there were settings which he played around with to get a drizzle. Not noticing at first, he realized the shower had a room that connected to the back porch, almost like it was made for someone to walk out to air themselves off. No way is he doing that, but went out the exit just to see the back. It was a surprising difference from the front. The trees blocked the front half of the building, but the back is hilly unlike the front, and leads to a quarry, the deck stretched out several feet comfortably and dropped to a flight of stair to his right exiting the lower elevation. It was surprising the one story building have foundation. Is that a basement door? Chase tried to budge it open but it wouldn't work.

“Hunter! Get your horny ass out here!" The sound of a big loping creature shout out the back and bounded to his human in mere seconds, eyes almost predatory but characteristically cheeky.

“Yes dear?"

“Help me open the door, and you're still on trial wolfie." He gestured and like an obedient golem the beast complied. He gripped the long iron handle and flexing all his muscles in a display that Chase had ever seen pulled. The door actually resisted for a fraction of the second, but almost immediately bucked under the prowess of the biggest wolf in Riverton.

“Whew, that almost gave me a challenge there!" That fluffy tail flagged energetically, Chase could still see veins popping out of that arm and gulped at the strength, arousing and terrifying is really the only thing you could describe of the big brute's display. Hunter wanted to entire first but paused, as if second guessing himself.

“Uhm.."

“You going in?"

“Y-yeah just wait. I think I pulled a muscle." The big pup yelped.

“I'll go on ahead." He went in, those same threshold crests above him loomed. Immediately the wolf followed behind.

Inside was pure darkness, no light was visible. But Hunter just shouted out, spooking his human.

“What was that for?" He shook his eye at the sudden intrusion of sound.

“I-it's beautiful!" The big wolf just said.

“Wha?" Chase took out his phone and used the flashlight setting and gasped at the sight.

In the room were several odd devices, there were two cages with a slot that can fit food inside. There were rusted manacles on the ground, very heavy by the looks of them. At the center of the room and along the side were grates that drained somewhere he couldn't tell. He looked again and saw that one corner of the room was wet, water flowing down the drain and that spot was right below… where the bathroom was. On the ceilings were several hooks and pulleys that were too complicated to figure out. He saw a pure marble slab table with straps to fit an individual on. There were also closets fully opened but empty.

Chase just spluttered at the scene before him.

“What the fu-"

“Damn your grandma or grandpa must've been one kinky couple."

The wolf was trying to hold himself back but he was having a really hard time hiding his growing bulge.

I think this is more like a torture room than a sex dungeon.

“Uhmm yeah..."

He suddenly realized he was trapped all alone in the middle of nowhere with an obsessive wolf boyfriend with a domination kink and turn his head slowly towards Hunter. The wolf seems to understand what he was thinking and played along.

“You know, I could keep you all to myself. Lock you in here and get you begging for my cock, get all horny and needy while I feed you only what comes out of this puppy." He took both hands can cupped his package, accentuating them in his tight denim.

The wolf got dangerously closer. “And no one would ever know."

That sent shivers down his spine.

“But I already told you." The wolf frowned at Chase, poking him in the head. “Consent is important to me…" He crossed his huge arms, signs of the flannel starting to tear.

“That being said..." He inched closer to the human, looming large and drooling. “All you need to do is say those three little letters. And I'll make you scream all night." His tail was a blur of motions and that idea.

“You're gonna need to curb that habit of yours." Chase huffed, himself a bit hard. “I'm not into being controlled." The wolf shrugged. “Maybe for now!"

“When's the last time you even had I dunno normal sex!?" He was a bit exasperated.

“Last night?" The wolf answered almost puzzled.

“You calling me your bitch and having me lick your boots is normal?" Chase was perplexed.

“Uhmm shmaybe."

“Can you even do vanilla?" He huffed at the giant.

“Oh yes, I can." The wolf just said that evenly with perfect confidence.

“W-wait really?"

“What you don't think I can?" The wolf sounded offended. “I'm a master dom, and I know how to work someone good."

“Uhuh." He sounded skeptical at that.

“Oh yeah, one time I had this nervous little deer, honestly more like a doe. He had the tiniest horns and wanted to try something exciting." The wolf recounted a sexual encounter like it was the most normal thing to share. “When I showed him my toys he got a bit nervous, had a breakdown even."

That's not normal.

Hunter got up to him and started fondling Chase sensually, and as if reliving the memory spoke softly. His voice grew lewd and dominant.

“Frightened little doe was having second thoughts..." His hands expertly traced Chase's form. “I decided to ease him in, got rid of my toys… spoke encouraging word to him." He licked his humans ear. “Got him warm and relaxed, bathed him and cuddled him. Was the perfect gentleman." A finger dipped in between his buttons, seeking. “I treated him like royalty all day, and when he was ready." The finger found his nipple. “I entered him long and gentle but he only took a third of me." His finger started moving while the other hand snaked to Chase's pants. “He was lost in my touch alright, came so hard he nearly passed out." The paw clutching the human's growing arousal. “The next time we met, I asked him if I could do it just a bit rougher... he just said yes."

Hunter was cupping his groin entirely, squeezing gently. “And the time after that I got him with some of my toys, boy got real curious." The finger around his nipple became two, now pinching delicately. “He was always eager to try more the next time." The wolf nibbled Chase's ear a little more, breathing in his ear. “The last time I was with the little doe he was clad in full gear, had his cute little muzzle ring gagged and his cock hard but caged. He took my knot and was deepthroating on a horse's cock down to the hilt, all the while dangling from ropes like the one's in this room."

“H-holy sh-" Chase felt like he was about to have a dry orgasm when Hunter just pulled back like nothing had happened. His dominating personality replaced with the puppy's.

“Hey I wonder where those stairs let to." He got up the steps, stopping when it was under a trap door. The wolf tried to open it but it wouldn't budge, it looked like it is locked from the other side. Chase collected himself, panting heavily while cursing at the stupid pup. He suspected he knew where it went and climbed back upstairs, adjusting his bulge. He saw that one of the entrance lead into the master bedroom but decided to take the bathroom instead. He exited the threshold to the adjacent one. Inside was a master's study. There were volumes of book, several still strewn on the desk. A veritable library were on either sides of the study. Chase looked around in watch has come to be constant surprise at this point. He heard the big wolf grunting and pulling at a door and doing a poor job hiding his exertions. The human followed those noises to one corner, underneath a carpeting. What he saw was surprising, a door shiny metallic, almost silver-like maybe and several locks and bolts.

“Stop pulling I'm opening it." He huffed.

“O-okay." The wolf was panting, gasping between breaths.

Chase unlocked each lock one by one, and it felt heavy, like a bunch of internal mechanisms doing the work of hundreds with each opening. He flung it open and saw Hunter hunched down, when he saw the human was looking he tried to straighten immediately.

“Damn your grandparents really don't want people escaping huh?"

“It's not theirs!" He protested weakly.

Hunter got up looked around all the books and immediately zoned out.

“I-I'm gonna go stock the things I brought, and uhmm..." He looked at the dungeon some more, tail wagging hard. “Y-yeah..."

Chase just rolled his eyes at the horn-dog, he looked around to room to the study desk. He got in the seat and sat down. What the man saw surprised him.

In front of him was a photograph, it was a very old photo of his mother and him. Along with what must be Mabel's mom and his grandmother, much younger. Look at them the man started to get a nostalgic feeling, an ancient memory of a caring mother. Frightened and shell-shocked, maybe recovering cradling him and speaking softly. It was a strange thought, remembering something children would've forgotten by the time they turned three.

He fished out the enveloped and stared at it.

Oh what the hell.

Opening the piece of parchment yielded a thud. The man eyed the ring and gaped, it was made of pure silver and gold trimmings with an amber gem set on top. He fished out the letter and read it. He rolled his eyes glazing over several other prophecies and predictions, there were several other sheets of papers and they were pretty much all the same. The earliest letter was almost brown and he looked it over.

Chase if you are reading this then it means my time has gone. I do not know when you will be receiving this but know that I have and will always loved you. I am sorry for what might become of me, that is out of my control. If you have it in your heart to forgive me, please, don't. This was my obsession, I had to know and I chase it knowing those wolves would be the death of me. But my curiosity got the better of me. I must see him again. Those eyes will forever haunt me, the night he came. I do not know his name, only that he left me with this ring. If you don't believe anything I've said believe this. It is from your father. Best regards your mother.

A more recent addition was added at the bottom.

P.S. If mother hasn't yet, she will give you father's house. The house will be funded for a least a decade.. She does not know it but I've been going there through my bouts of lucidity, I hope you find your answers there.

Chase brought the ring to eye level and slumped down on the big chair_._ Just great, more prophecy stuff. He looked at the oldest sheet then back at the ring and sighed. Maybe another time. Well that was one mystery solved. He almost pocketed the ring but decided what the hell.

The human slipped the ring between his fingers, waiting for judgement from the heavens.

Nothing.

Oh well.

He was lost in contemplation and memory for who knows how long when he heard a loud thump and sprang up to see Hunter dumping a box of frozen meals, grinning with enthusiasm.

“W-what are you doing?"

“I thought we might have a barbecue but this it fully stocked!" He was all teeth with that smile. “And since you're my boyfri-"

“Trial basis!"

“I thought I'd bring some stuff over, just in case!" He noticed there were also several other boxes lying around. Chase had been wondering why Hunter' prep took so long, he had been to Alex's and also at the gas station for supplies in case he needed to clean the place. The big wolf drove up in his massive car made for anthros his size and just dragged him in. The only thing he saw was the grill in the backseat and several supplies for outdoor camping. He did not realize the wolf had brought with him a box of other things from home.

“Wha-what's in it?" He pointed at a box behind the sweaty wolf. What the hell was he doing in the dungeon?

“Oh uhm n-nothing." But that was going to work this time. Chase got behind him and opened the box. He gaped at the 'alternative' outfits inside, including several kinds of lubes.

“And these are?"

“Really it's not much." The wolf pouted. “I only brought the tame things. And lube in case we wanna do something." He raised his brows.

“Oh are we now?"

“Oh yes, I plan of getting in your pants within the hour." He boasted.

“W-what's the hurry."

“I have an itinerary." The wolf said. “Just relax. I plan on being the perfect gentleman today."

“I'll see it when I believe it."

“Oh, you will." Hunter just pretending he now realized he was sweating. “Whew, I've worked up a sweat."

Is that his plan?

“Just go outside and knock on the door, and play along." The wolf asked eagerly.

“This I gotta see." The rolled his eyes, complying with the request.

Hunter gave him a smug grin. He looked away from the human for a moment, composing himself turning into another persona again.

Chase got out closed the door and waited a whole minute.

He got to the door and rapt it gently.

No response.

He knocked again. And this time the big wolf opened it gruffly.

He saw a rough and unkempt wolf, his hair a mess and his musk wafting heavily in the air.

“Well hello there Mr. Meadows."He growled. “What brings you here?"

Huh?

“Hello uhmm Mr. Howle, I-" The wolf placed a finger on his lips.

“I've noticed you looking at me earlier, when you didn't think my wife wasn't looking" The big wolf got closer and breathed in his face. “I know what you want." He answered gruffly.

“Come in." Chase went inside, just in time to get a heavy dose of that musk. “Sorry about that, just had a bit of a workout. Whew." He got a bottle of water and chugging it and letting it spill over him.

The human got down on the sofa, watching Mr. Howle 'tidy' himself up a bit. The wolf took his shirt and ripped it off. The fabric teared easily and come off like snaps. His shirt was bulging now, the muscles all popping out. The wolf saw him looking and Chase tried to look away.

“You like it huh?" He grunted. “Heh, I don't mind."

Chase looked back, watching the masculine display. The wolf's white shirt was completely soaked, sweat and water mixing and staining down to his groan. He eyed the bulge, and the wolf cupped it, his paw not completely able to cover it. The wolf sauntered over, taking the empty space beside him. He lifted one arm behind the him, resting on the sofa. Grunting the wolf stretched out but not placing it on his human.

“Sorry about the mess, wasn't expecting company." Mr. Howle scratched his crotch and sniffed it. “Unf, forgot I hadn't changed yet." He subtly go closer, all the while the musk from his sweaty pit was inching its way eye-level towards Chase. It was pungent, intoxicating and reeked of masculinity. Unlike last time this was an invitation, and it was very welcoming. Heat could be felt emanating from that furry pit and his sense screamed at his to dig in. He was about to, head closing in when Hunter brought it down.

“Hey, you don't mind if I got a little comfortable do you?" The gruff male didn't even bother to wait for an answer. He got up, stood in front of the human and slowly undid his tight pants. The sound of that leather belt unbuckling slowly, teasingly. The fabric was straining to contain that massive sheath, that button doing it's best to hold back the tide of maleness from spilling out. Mr. Howle slowly pulled the belt out and placed it around Chase's head, slowly pulling him closer to that monster, now only contained by the zipper.

“Can you help? My hands are a bit full. Umf, god it's so tight." The gruff wolf practically rubbed himself across the human's face though it never touched. Chase kept his eye at the beast while his hands slowly traveled up those strong powerful thighs, muscle definition somehow showing through denim. This close the musk was irresistible, the source of that power pulsing and throbbing barely contained. He was about to close in when the bigger male pulled the belt closer.

“I like your hands where they are, why don't you help get it out with your mouth?" It was a suggestion but felt more like a command. Chase could only nod as he was practically kissing it, the smell now so overpowering he wasn't thinking straight. He opened his lips and tried to latch onto the zipper but the monstrosity bumped into his face, smothering him in the strongest odor he ever smelled.

“Oh my bad. Can you try again?"

Huffing and breathing out vapors he did so, grazing his lips twice and feeling growing hardness. He finally bit the zippers and got ready to drag it down but the belt prevented him from moving.

“Mhmm that's good boy take your time, you don't wanna miss out on having your fill do you?" The belt slackened slowly, he saw that the wolf was removing his shirt and wiping himself with it. He looked back down to see a forest of pubes, it was somehow even darker and denser than the fur around it. Without hesitation he plunged his face into the rich carpet of smell and sniffed deeply. Slowly, taking his time the dragged the zipper down, nose grinding along the jockstrap, and it was very powerful. It smelled like it hadn't been washed in days. He tried to linger there, basking in its glory but Mr Howle was having none of that.

“You're gonna have to speed it up if we want to have our fun before my wife comes home." He grunts. “Fuck I've been so pent up, bitch hadn't worked my shaft for a while. Always complaining how it was too big." He rocked his hips and a hint of the head was showing, urging the human on.

Reluctantly he carried on, when he got below half of it the size of that monster was like an avalanche, pushing him back all the way. He stumbled back, his head bumping on the cushion and all the while he kept his eye on the piece of meat in front of him. The moment it was fully unzipped it almost plumped up again, looking it nearly doubled in size.

“Damn, bitch always keeps buying the tightens pants." Mr. Howle hopped up and down and his pack jiggled, that heavy duty anthro jockstrap barely containing those undulations. “Much better." He sighed and got back to sitting next to Chase, who by this point stumbled while getting back in his seat.

“You alright? You look a little dazed." The gruff male put one paw on his forehead and tutted. “Might be a fever. Here-" He took his shirt and ran it along the length of his body, soaking in the dampest and headiest parts, rubbing along his crotch as well for good measure. Then put the wet cloth over his face. “That's much better. You alright?"

“Mmh.. uh huh." Chase groan through the fabric, the formerly white shirt now dark with damp sweat.

“Oh dear, looks more serious than I first thought." He took the fabric back much to the human' disappointed, his cock have already rock hard from the teasing. The wolf shoved the fabric into the pit on his opposite side. He grinned and stretched his arm again. “Don't worry, I've got another one ready right here, dig in."

This time without hesitation the human planted his face into that musky depth, unable to stop himself from dragging his nose through it. The wolf only smiled beatifically, then retrieved that damp shirt from his other pit and plopped it on Chase's head. It soaked through his face, dripping down his shirt and the wolf ran it all through his body.

“Terribly sorry boy, looks like I got your shirt wet."

This time Chase didn't even hesitate to unbutton it himself.

“Damn you're eager aren't you? Not bad… damn you look tasty." The smack of lips.

He was in musky heaven and slowly he could feel a large paw reaching down to his crotch, dexterously unzipping him. He tried to contain himself but his hips started thrusting into the palm by itself.

It felt like an eternity but soon the need to live won out, and Chase retreated from that comfortable warm and into the light. Panting and gasping for breath, he was about to dig in again but was met by sensual lips touching his. Mr. Howle was the image of power, he had a quiet dominance just from his aura, his quiet confidence all he needed to get the human quivering and needy.

The tongues wrestled but it was no contest, the bigger male thrust his entire appendage into Chase's mouth, almost making him gag when it retreated. The smaller male panted, trying to recover when it lunged forward again, battering his feeble defenses. He was trying to recover himself again when it retreat but this time the assault was picking up. The human's mouth being tongue fucked as it plunged into his, depositing spit, dragging his taste bugs along the length of the bigger piece before retreating again.

When he thought he could it take anymore and retreat the tongue plunge all the way and just stayed there. There the wolf continuously salivated, pooling several teaspoons of thick saliva in his mouth, unconsciously he drank some of it just to survive the torrent. When the wolf finally pulled out, the human tried to keep their tongues touching sticking out his smaller tongue was the bigger retreat, the bridge of saliva dripping lower and lower.

“Fuck, I'm so horny." Mr. Howle gasped, ruffling his hair a little more. “Why wife won't be home for another hour, think you can give this a helping hand?" He gestured to his groin and the human could only nod eagerly.

The giant was in his jockstrap only, Chase likewise in a state of undress and dripping. With a beckoning finger the wolf lead him to the master bedroom, there he plopped down on the heavy duty bed. The fall making his package jiggle. Chase could swear he heard it sloshing with seed. The wolf settled on his back in a position of power, massive pecs and arms, his stomach almost perfectly flat in this position.

“It ain't gonna suck itself." The big guy rumbled. “And you look like you're in need of assistance as well."

Chase looked down to see himself fully hard, he might've been ashamed but he was too horny to care. He wanted it, now. He charged at Mr. Howle the two were lost in deep passion. They were groping one another, he took his fingers around those big dark nubs and squeezed them gently, giving them little twist. The wolf had such sensitive nipples and he grunted at the stimulation. He returned the gesture likewise but could reach both nipples with his massive paw. His other hand was rubbing between his legs.

“S-shit f-fuck me Mr. Howle." He begged but the bigger male just shook his head. “We'll do that much later, right now I'm gonna have you practice your mouth."

The massive muscle worth lied down almost perfectly flat on the bed, the obscene bulge was the highest mound in that impressive beefcake mountain, and it was completing with his pecs. Chase didn't hesitate to to get rid of that final piece of fabric separating him from his prize.

“Come here." The wolf patted over himself, indicating the intent to sixty-nine. He was done teasing. His jockstrap traveled down his legs with alacrity, and he held it in his hand waving it like a flag. Meanwhile his sheath was fully visible, the balls now no longer trapped spread out and drooped like two melons, sticking to his legs and hanging loosely. That two-liter thick sheath was throbbing, the wolf was holding it in fiercely. Chase didn't need a second invitation, he dropped his own boxers and planted his face over the the spring loaded trap.

“Don't be shy pup, dig in." Mr. Howle grunted. “I'm so backed up I can shoot several sessions worth. You're gonna have to work for it."

Chase dug his nose into the sheath and smell it, eyes rolling back in his head for a moment as he absorbed the scent. Collecting himself the man tried to enclose his lips around the tip using his lips to rim the sheath, coaxing the monster pop up. All the while this was happening the wolf was licking his fingers and slowly testing that tight sensitive hole, preparing it in advance. The small but eager tongue breaking what little self control he had left and he let it cock emerge.

Chase gagged with he felt a fat spearhead force its way between his lips. He made a choked gasp at the sudden intrusion, holding it in as he mouth was slowly invading by more inches of that mammoth prick. It some erotically gruesome display his head slowly rose and it looked like he was expelling a huge forearm long cock from between his lips. He tried again and re-oriented himself, spluttering as his head was impale on a pillar of meat that was unyielding and unbending. It support his weight while staying completely vertical, thick pencil thick veins snaking the entire length of that shaft. He could swear his tongue could feel each individual vein. His head throbbing in time with the cock, as it slowly pulsated leaked at the roof of his mouth.

With herculean effort get in a better position to better service this meaty tool. Mr. Howle didn't take much effort to pull them back, angling his head against pillows so he could better tongue that hole. The two didn't need words to do what they did and they went on eagerly exploring each other.

Chase took a breather after serving that fat cock for several unending minutes, his mouth unused to opening so wide. He just took in a moment drink the size of that meaty appendage.

Fuck it looks bigger in this light. How the hell did I fit it in before?

He was about to ask when he felt a thick digit plunge into his hole. Reflexively he moaned, just in time for his mouth to be impaled by the monster cock again. This time though he was much more prepared. With both hands the human gripped the girthy shaft, each managing on half of it. With gusto he bobbed his head up and down on it twisting and stroking it til he managed a rhythm. There were grumblings behind him and he knew the wolf was succumbing to his ministrations. The assault on on the head repetitive and unrelenting. He was sure he was close to succeeding when he felt a counterattack.

Mr. Howle abandoned tonguing his hole and instead wrapped his entire maw around the human's own cock. He was good, that mouth was used to devouring entire meals whole, he would not have trouble with Chase's. That only made him redouble effort, gripped the python harder and made longer strokes, feeling those veins running up its titanic length deform with his motion.

The wolf wasn't about to lose though and took more drastic measures. He stretched his jaws a little and began to devour the human's entire cock and his balls too. The massive maw making a perfect vacuum fit for his human. Then the wolf cheated, gripped Chase's legs in one arm and stood up, getting a better angle at the whole piece.

Chase was in heaven, his cock was tended to by an expert tongue, his balls swimming in a sea of tongue and spit. Then the wolf restarted his work by having his other hand and shoving three fingers in, stabbing at his prostate, milking him dry.

The wolf was catching up and fast too. To compensate he tried he decided to go for speed over anything else. Even though their height was vastly different, the wolf's cock made it easy to suck and he concentrated all his efforts on just the top few inches. Wrapping the head between his hands he began to twist and jerk while forming a vacuum seal with his head. Together the two writhed as they each coaxed the other to shoot.

It didn't take long because both groaned at the same time. Chase first, shooting him meager load into the wolf's muzzle and Hunter doing the same. Those melon sized orbs defying gravity and pulling up, then the skin grew taut around them, as if a powerful vacuum where sucking them out of their confines. At this awkward angle however Chase was having a hard time swallowing all that pent up cum, each rope shooting into his mouth and making him look like a chipmunk.

He gagged and coughed up some of the spunk only for it to shoot some more again, each assault thicker and creamier than the last, as if the previous loads were just pre-cum. The two shook and quivered as they fell upon one another, the wolf slowly dropping down with the human still speared on his convulsing cock, gasping for breath.

Hunter licked his lips some more and patted the drenched human.

Panting and coughing the human spluttered. The wolf only smiled.

“Shit I think the missus is gonna find out." They stared at the mess they made of the room, well more like Hunter's mess.

The bath was long and also sensual, the pair couldn't stop kissing each other and still raring for another load. But the wolf was dictating the pace of the date and he wasn't done yet.

They washed each other out thorough, Chase even poking his wolf's stomach, who tried to suck it in only for the human to giggle. All that muscle and that gut just made him so much less intimidating. The got him back by grabbing him close and giving tussling him like a toddler. They stayed a bit too long in the shower but when they were finally done the pair went out to the deck to air dry. The big brute decided now was a perfect opportunity and shook himself like a wet dog, spraying the wet water everywhere.

Hunter patted him on the back while he got into the kitchen, having already thawed meat before their session started. Chase thought now was as good a time as any and check his phone idly curious about the pictures Hunter had sent him. He opened them to see a variety of shots, his eyes bulging at them. The wolf wasn't lying when he said he hadn't seen him at his prime. There were several shots of him at a weightlifting competition wearing a very loose tank top, striations of his arms like nothing he's even seen before, each fighting for real estate on his body. He flipped through another one to see him mid squat, thick meat ass jutting out, both soft and firm at the same time. The muscle groups on his back each partitioned and mountainous.

While scrolling through he came upon one that caught his eye and stirred something in him. It was from a lower angle and his mouth watered. The wolf was almost completely naked, a leather ring and harness was all his upper body held, the restraints fighting to contain his bulk and forming an X across his torso. The wolf's definition was popping out and he has a delicious set of 8 packs that seem to lead him to the natural V shape pointing down to his crotch, it was half hard and already bursting at the seam. The photographer was worshiping him and in his hand was a leash that led in the direction of the camera, his eyes looking hungrily into the lens.

“You like that don't you?" The wolf grinned. Chase jumped up. “All you need is three little letters and I'll bring you to your heel." His voice betraying a tinge of excitement.

“W-what? Wasn't what we did before enough?"

“Ohohoh not even close." Hunter cradled him. “That was foreplay!" But enough about that, you're hungry aren'tcha!

Chase felt his stomach grumbling and he agreed, following the lupine inside. He smell several patties already being cooked. Dinner is going to take forever if the wolf did it himself. Deciding to help the human got closer to him and helped with meal prep.

They done in peaceful quiet, enjoying each other's company and chatting away about their lives. Trying their best to catch up, and get to know the new them.

“How's the date so far?"

“It's lovely."

“We're not done yet! You know what tonight is right?"

“Oh I think so, something about the comet."

“Hmm, oh yap. And I've got the best view in town." He grinned conspiratorially.

The drive to the base of the mount took about an hour, vehicles wouldn't have been allowed this close to the park but this was pack territory and he was the sheriff.

Hunter lumbered out the vehicle and trying to get to the other side before Chase could also exit. The wolf had only his shirt to wear. It still had a heady musk to it but the human didn't mind, he had a feeling it wouldn't be on for long. The hike was difficult for him, the footings were made for larger creatures and he had to be carried a few times much to his chagrin and the wolf's delight. By now it was nearly night, a full moon appearing in the sky and illuminating the night. Chase saw a visible change in his wolf since then as well. The puppy look he always had on by default was replaced by that visage he saw the night they met at the village, arousing, thrilling, mysterious, exciting. His form blended effortlessly into the night the full moon hidden behind heavy clouds, and he might've lost his trek his their hands weren't always holding tightly to one another.

Wild foliage dotted the path, several time it was obscured, whether by design and purpose or accident only the pack would know.

When they finally though they'd stop there was more to go, always more. The trek was getting tiring but Hunter seemed un-hased by it. Grumbling he was led, blind in the dark and trusting his wolf to guide him safely.

There was no sign of insects whatsoever, indeed there was almost no noise at all. A quiet veil seemed to have slowly descended like a curtain in the direction of their travels.

“Just a little more."

“Huff huff, this better be worth it." Chase grumbled fingering his new ring testily.

“Oh it will!" The wolf barked cheerily. “You're gonna love the view."

It took another several minutes but they looked like they were reaching the summit. There were several totems dotting the pathway they once even have to traverse a cave-way to reach the other side. Chase took one step forward panting and gazed upon the visage and gaped as he looked at a memory of a dream.

At the top of this nearly flat mount is covered in flowers, they dotted every inch of the plateau like weed. Their color was that of amber gold enclosed with lily white petals. In the light of the moon it had a bluish.Their shape was odd, almost pointed like a nail. He gaped and ran out to the cusp, almost afraid to see. However it was slightly different shorter too, to his right were the forests that stretched for miles without end, to his left was a river that snaked from one horizon to the other but a lake was pooling several miles off, across it sparse flat land with a field of wild flowers. It was reversed. He looked down to see a randomly forming hill in a straight line.

“W-what's that?" He pointed to the place.

“You like it? It's called the Fangs." The wolf grinned.

“Fangs? It looks like a plateau."

“Yap, thing it look ago, there were two peak here, there was one on the other side." He pointed to some distant point across. Legends says a massive beast swiped with his claws and sheared the peaks in half, fell right over." He pointed to the hill. “That's all that remains. Someone tried to rename the place but y'know tradition."

“I-It's beautiful." Dazed and dreamily he looked around.

“Oh don't you worry yet." The giant lumbered behind his, gently massaging him. “Just you wait." They waited in silence for something to happen.

“I d-don't-" There was a beam of moonlight now, striking down from the heaven. Suspended in the moonbeam the pair watched as the nail like plants bloom, their inside instantly opening to vibrant blue.

“A-are these…?" He gaped.

“Yeap, Hylacanthus Lupus these are the plants that make the drug. Don't worry you won't actually feel the effects unless you dig around and munch on them, even then you need to distill them to get any reasonable high." He wagged excitedly. “Right now they just smell blooms at all the oddest hours of the night."

“Y-yeah..." The human took one and sniffed it thinking something would happen.

Nothing did.

“Thank you, it's definitely an amazing view alright." He grinned. “He took out his phone and checked the time, dipping into the grass as the moonlight widened, the clouds departing and with them the blooming field.

Hunter's visage suddenly became very clear again, the bright moonlight illuminating the wolf in this world of white and blue. Chase stretched out to enjoy the view but only heard zippers at his wolf was already dropping his pants.

“You really are a horn-dog aren't you."

“Yes I am but this is also something I love to do up here. It's my holiday!" He got naked, that huge sheath flopping and swinging with his stretches. He just looked at his human and smiled knowingly.

“Wanna join in?"

“Oh what the hell. No one's around." He gingerly took off everything and placed them neatly in a clearing. The smell of musk heavy in the air, his smell was always better than others.

The big shape next to him laid down beside him, sharing in the warmth. Hunter laid down with his human and was about close his eyes when a noise made his eyes bulge.

“Awoooooooooo!" The human howled, smiling into the wind.

“Wha shit." Hunter clung to himself in a panic. “Shit I almost thought something caught us."

“Hah! Was it good?"

“Trying to be a wolf now?"

“When in Rome." He gave his partner and mischievous grin of his own. “Wanna join in?"

Into the night the pair howled grinning like idiots to the moon. It took a while but Chase got tired before Hunter. His massive lungs breathing in tanks worth of air and expelling them in a blood curdling howl that probably could be heard for miles yet.

“Damn that's loud."

“Bigger everything." The wolf grinned smugly, like a Cheshire cat in the night.

“I'll bet." He gazed at the loose sheath and up at his Hunter.

“Mmm I'm getting excited just look at you pup." He growled. “How about I get my outfit from my backpack?" Hunter rumbled sexily.

“Oh no. Nope." He frowned. “You did not bring sex toys to our date did you?"

“M-maybe?" Those lying eyes.

“No toys. Tonight's special." The human growl at his wolf and murmuring at him.

Chase managed to give the wolf a disapproving look before turning around. “You still haven't finished what you started."

He revealed his tight ass to the wolf and started teasing the sheath, that got the big wolf all excited.

“Heh you think you can take it?" Hunter grabbed his flopping member, already slowly spilling out.

Some deep part of him called out, telling him to dive into that mess of fur and fuck him silly, and he did. The human growled, eyes amber and he lunged for his wolf. Their lips once again meeting, this time with almost feral intensity. His mouth took the initiative this time, diving into the larger maw, coaxing out that fat tongue out. He was surprised as the human lightly bite him, his foot massage that thick growing shaft.

The wolf growled at the touch and lost it. The predator of the night pounced his human claws scratching and fangs nibbling at his skin but never breaking them. He let out a low growl and gave Chase a deep and passionate tongue fucking, but this time stealing the spit from his human and pooling it in his own mouth. When the wolf was done with that he pulled back and immediately turned Chase around.

Hunter got those fingers to part those tight cheeks and immediately lunged into, a primal beast desperate for his meal. The beast spat and rimmed the human's hole, who could only moan and growl at the sudden intensity. The wolf's fat cock already raging hard, those heavy balls already full and raring to go ahead. They sway pendulously with his primal tonguing, driving in so deep he must be hitting his human's prostate.

Any spillover from that drooling hole pooled down the taint and anointing his fat cock, preparing it for penetration. Chase managed from this angle to grip the member, eagerly spreading it over the entire tool ready for the fucking of his life.

Hunter was an unfettered beast, nearly four fingers and a tongue deep into his human and not diving back up for air, his rasping growl pulling from some unknown reserve and he made ungodly noises, making out with that ever widening hole while his human was teetering between pleasure and insanity.

When he thought the hole couldn't get any wetter, he flex his cock, bucking it from the human's grip. Those human knew what was about to happened and got into a position made for mating, he got to his knees and arched his back with the practice only a skillful bottom knew how. Inviting, daring the challenger for his submission. His only response was a flex of the cock as it slapped the wolf's stomach, an arc of pre-cum spraying out.

The wolf growled and placed the tip of his cock over the smaller male's entrance, teasing it and getting a yip and a needy whine. That was all it took and he speared the first few inches in, causing Chase to let go of his breath. He breathed in and out for several moments before the wolf plunged deeper, the hole making lewd squelches and it tried to accommodate something inhuman. The wolf was merciless, and his cock was demanding to feel the warmth of a tight hole.

“D-deeper!" Chase growled.

Hunter was only eager to comply with that request, he squatted lower, his low hanging orbs finally started to reach slapping distance of that firm ass. Every repositioning and only made they sway and churn. Growling again the titan plunged another several inches in. He stuck that way until he felt his balls graze Chase's ass from the deep dive.

“More!" The human groaned.

With concerted effort he did just that, halfway in and making his partner squirm in pleasure. He didn't give as much time as before to adjust and got another few more inches before pulling out just long enough to plunge it back at where it gone.

Chase was gasping, he felt every vein pulsing in his ass and tried his hardest not to reflexively clench. He looked behind him, hands sweating now from that heat trapped inside him. Hunter was deep in concentration, lost to the pleasures. His eyes closed and each hand around his hard nipples, he was not fully bent, legs akimbo and spread as far apart as they could while still able to thrust.

“Huff.. all… huff.. the way!" He didn't know where this reserve of willpower was coming from but his body would not be able to handle such an assault, at least that was what he thought. A lucid vision of a bright brown wolf was egging him on, to consummate this union.

“Grrllll..." The lupine growled out as he plunged until he was more than 2/3s of the way through, his face a constant snarl as it felt like the hole only got tighter and tighter. He was going crazy not plunging it all the way right this second. His massive balls now touching the human's ample rump, two sets of orbs touching and sticking to one another. Pausing for only a moment he glanced down at the remaining inches and with the encouragement soldiered on the last lengths. In on smooth motion he retreated a couple of inches, and in one smooth thrust plunged it all the way. His paws now pinching and twisting his nubs sore, his tongue was panting and saliva was coating to the tip. His tail was going crazy at the feeling.

“Huff… holy shit… hngh..." Chase was in heaven but he knew his task wasn't done yet. He growled at the wolf, who knew what was coming next. Pulling all the way back the big lupine finally stopped playing with his nubs and go a firm ground around those rumps. With a pull he tugged at the human's innards and with a thrust he hilted to the knot.

The pair both moaned at the first thrust, shaking at the heightened sensation. When they both acclimatized the fucking began in earnest. Chase's ass was being battered and his knee couldn't take any more punishment so he just splayed his lets out wide.

That pounding was intense but someone he held on, each push and pull eagerly driving the knot knocking at his entrance. The sound of their meeting as flesh against flesh slapped. The wolf took his hands off the human's hip and now was in a similar position on top the human laying on top of him and growling at his neck, battering that tight entrance.

Hunter alternated paces, long dicking the human by pulling out to the tip and hilting him in long seconds the first minute then driving him to the hilt and fucking him senseless with the last six like a machine's piston. All the while snarling and grunting with primal need into his mate's ear. When he got started mixing it up he hip was not only in and out but side to side and in little figure eights, each thrust slapping those fuzzy wet balls to the human's ass like a drum. Chase could swear he felt them big heavy with each slap.

Another moment the wolf hilted his human and just pinned his balls against that ass and sandwiching them together, fucking him with just the last inch and his own testicles deformed from the tightness.

Again and again they went until the primal need awaken within the human.

“K-knot me!" He shouted in a growl, the moonlight glowing in his eye.

“B-but" The needy wolf returned, more worried and unable to control himself, he was in nirvana and couldn't it. This was the tightest hole he'd ever fuck and it took everything he was throwing at it!

“Do it! Fuck me hard. Mate me! Get that knot in me and unf-" Chase was groaning as Hunter needed no more encouragement his pace now erratic. He pulled back a little to spat at the junction between knot and hole than slammed back in trying to get it just a bit deeper this time around. When he thought he was running out of spit, he dove into his lovers tongue and took his his spit, the human's mouth frothing and on the edge of sanity.

Again and again they did it, an eternity of hammer, battering. The knot would always get a little deeper in time. Just need to back it over halfway in. Now the wolf was losing his mind as well. He needed to enter but the hole was stubborn and resistant. Relentlessly get pounded, erratic and desperate. Already on the cusp but denying his orgasm until he was inside.

Chase decided to help and with an unknown reserve of power he pushed back, grinding and mirroring the pelvis thrusts. That monster knot was going in him dammit!

They didn't know how long they were at it but when the moment happened they knew.

Hunter had been edging for too long, he couldn't stop it longer. He was going to force it in! The massive lupine put his inhuman strength into his hips and lunged, his own hands overlapping his human's. Grunting and heavy both of them sweating with exertion.

“I-I'm going to… fuuckkkk!" He groaned holding in for just a few more seconds, pound pounding at the castle walls until at last-

Both men scream and howled as it when in. The wolf gripping his human so hard he accidentally drew a little blood, what was surprisingly was how resilient his human's body was.

Now, all pretense gone and holding back was impossible. The moment the knot went in Chase could no longer stop himself from clenching. He gripped that knot like a vice and squeezed it. The sensation was all it took for Hunter to explode like there was no tomorrow. Again and again tip ropes shot within his depths, sounding more like a powerful hose or piss then ejaculation, the sound had heft and his cock was shaking like mad, pulsating, growing and shrinking an entire inch within that tight confine.

Chase's prostate which had mostly escaped the assault from this angle was immediately flatted as that knot battered it, hitting it again and again. When Hunter started to squirm and shake as well, mind insensate from the pleasure, his paroxysms and quakes adding amplitude to those troughs and crests in their pleasure. The human's hand free orgasm raged through his body and ending in his cock, it shot a continuous stream for almost 15 seconds then stopped, smaller ropes for another 30, each new one making his cock flex, his eye rolled to the back of his head and my mouth dry from croaking.

Hunter tried his best to recover, he plunge his tongue deep into his mate's and felt the uncontrollable urge to bite, that dark animal inside him telling him to do it. To complete the circuit, to make it come true. To-

He passed out.

Both of them woke up what must've been 10 or 20 minutes later. Hunter still shakey as his knot was still pumping residual loads, his orbs were tender but still heavy. He looked to Chase who had gone quiet. The wolf helped him up and then rested his back to the grass, supporting to the human instead. His eyes were wide at the bulge that appeared and started slap the human silly.

When Chase came to squirming and sputtering, Hunter groaned, telling him to stop moving around.

“Huff huff… oh my shit that was intense."

“W-what the fuck, how am I taking knot." The human panted.

“I-I don't know but that was amazing." The wolf cradled his human and gave the biggest shit eating grin.

“Oh uhm… how long is this going to last?"

“I-I don't know. M-maybe an hour? Or.. uhmm more?"

“I-if I ever tell you to do that again please don't." He groaned, feeling his belly and the bulge in wide eyed disbelief.

The couple rested, somehow managing to get comfortable, they both watched the sky unveil before them, high on endorphins.

“L-look." Hunter pointed at the sky and smiled. “I think it's the comet!"

Right on time too, their phone alarm sounded at the schedule time.

“Wow it is really close… looks so big. Huff" Chase muttered, completely spent but still marveling at the once in a century celestial display.

They were embracing each tightly when the big wolf whispered.

“Hey it's appearing in the night sky now, you should totally make a wish! I hear that's what you humans believe in."

Chase rolled his eye. “You big oaf that's a shooting star!" He patted the wolf on the shoulder. “But I already got something better."

“What's that?"

“Me."

“Well I am a star." He grinned cheekily.

“You're more like the sun!"

“The sun is a star."

“Same difference."

They laughed at the inanity of it, finally come down from their high.

Chase thought for a second then gaped, turning to Hunter in shock. “W-wait it's a full moon!"

“So?" The wolf mumbled in the crook of his neck.

“Doesn't your pack like do stuff here around this time of the month? Like hunt or pray or something?" He looked around eyes bulging.

“Oh yeah we do." Hunter replied nonchalantly.

“Why aren't you worried?" The human ducked down to avoid possibly being seen.

“Oh haha, that's the thing. It's a secret, my personal holiday of sorts." The wolf cuddled him.

“What are you talking about?"

“Happens every few years, when there's a second full moon in the same month. It's my favorite moon. No one else comes but me." His tail wagged, and the human gazed into those deep sapphire eyes.

“A blue moon."

They once again drifted in contemplative silence. This time however Chase made a decision.

“I'm going to keep acting."

“Y-yeah?"

“And I think you should totally run for sheriff."

“B-but we'll be apart!"

“Only for a bit, I'm going to take breaks, once Legion is over I'll come up with something."

“D-don't leave!" The wolf sounded almost scared again, a bit more in control this game but still frightened.

“Stop worrying so much. What do you have to worry about? We're dating now aren't we?

“I-I just don't want to wake up from this and think it's a dream."

“Unf you're incorrigible." He picked up his phone. “Here." He wiped the grime off both their faces and made themselves look presentable. He took a screenshot of both of them from the heads up, him kissing the wolf on the cheeks. He started typing a bunch of letters, the wolf looking on.

“All I need to do is push this button and millions of fans will know I'm dating Hunter Howle." He grinned. “You ready for that?"

That send shiver down his spine, c-can he do it this time? All it takes is one push of the button and they'll be official. He'd throw his chances down the drain.

“And you?"

The human shrugged. “I have a contract, I'm making billing with at least two more seasons either way. I can be comfortable for a bit." He turned to the wolf. “The question is are you? Ready to give up on your life for me? Maybe we'll really start from zero this time. Just you and me, maybe the kid too. Making our own path out there, like we should've done a decade and a lifetime ago." He smiled beatifically. “I'm fine with either."

The wolf panicked. What would everyone think? What would his uncle say about this-

That thought caught him off guard. Since when did he care what that fat ass thinks? Would the pack disown him? What he ready to lose it all? He quaked at the town.

But then a warm hand gripped his.

“You don't have to."

Memories returning, of the crossroads again. The day they'd part and the deep sadness within him. Could he stomach losing more? Hunter took in a deep breath and shakily he nodded.

“D-do it."

“You sure? We don't have to-"

“Just do it!" He whimpered.

The human hit the sent button.

Suddenly he felt the weight of the decision descending upon him. Shit he'd done things on a whim again, did he even think things through? Wracking with indecisions and fucking everything up. Yes he'd make the right decision. But…

The wolf gulped. It was going to be a difficult road ahead.

“I-I'm ready..." He muttered then. “O-o god maybe not." He exhaled. “Holy shit."

“You need to calm down."

“N-no I need to get ready, everything's gonna change so fast. I-I have to."

“Calm down."

“Oh god…."

“Do you regret it?"

“D-do I? N-no… but..."

“Good." The human just said cheekily.

“W-what? Why are you so happy?"

“There's no wifi out here you big dope." He poked the wolf in the head.

“Wha- oh my god." He took a moment to process that. “Oh shit… “

“That's revenge for what you put me through Saturday." The human smiled mirthfully back at him. “Now we're even!"

“Oh thank god..." The wolf muttered out. He eyed the cheeky human and grinned. “You've got fangs alright." Hunter nibbled on his human's ear playfully out of relief like a teething pup.

“Well now I know huh..."

“What?"

“If whether or not you would've come out with me." He kissed the wolf back.

“I-I guess so. I already told you I would." Hunter pouted.

“Guess we both needed our assurances." He took his phone and sent the picture to his.

“There, now you have something tangible." The human poked the wolf's big chest. “If you ever feel the need just look at it."

“Show it to everyone, post it online, whatever. This goes both way."

“I-I don't need it." The wolf huffed.

“What?" Chase gaped. “You really okay letting it go?"

“Yep I… uhm.. okay maybe not." The wolf tried not to look embarassed. “I might've been putting on airs there."

The human swatted the wolf. “I thought so." He grumbled, but smiled. “At least you admit it. You really are a mess aren't you."

“Maybe a little."

“They chatted away into the night before Chase's phone rang.

“H-hello? Carol?"

“Hey Chase! Have you come to a decision?"

“Huh on what?"

“You big dope, the movie!"

“Oh… oh right." He looked around the field naked as a jay bird, and his wolf tenderly nibbling at his neck.

“I-I think I can do it."

“Great! That's amazing. I can't wait to tell Alan the good news." She was shuffling papers around. “There might be some complications."

“Oh?"

“Yeah seems the bookings got canceled or whatever last minute. We're gonna scrap out previous filming location due to a schedule change."

“So we're not doing it in autumn?"

“Oh no we are, we'll just be changing the venue. Say you don't know a quaint little town with a scenic vista do you?"

“Oh.. uhm maybe. What was this film about again?"

“Oh I didn't tell you?"

“No…?"

“You're playing a werewolf. Why'd you think you have to do a nude scene?"

He hung up the phone.

“Trouble?"

“Nope."

“I'm starting to think the universe is conspiring against me."

He eyed the ring and grinned. “Though sometimes it's not always a bad thing."

The human look at his wolf and gave him a scanning look.

“What?'

“Nothing..."

He picked up the phone and dialed back. “Hey Carol, you think you'll need a stunt double for the werewolf?"

THE END?
