Dragoness' Heat
BTW, This was first uploaded in Wattpad, but due to the lack of audiences (mainly furries and scalies), I have decided to upload it here. Hope you enjoy! OwO
Edit: So yeah, apparently, I changed Skyler's age to 19. Gotta stick with the rules. Don't worry, this won't change the entirety of the story.
It was a cool summer's night in the town of Flintwood, where almost all people went to sleep. One particular teenager, still busy surfing the internet.
He sipped his third Coca-Cola bottle and continued scrolling down the screen, watching any available stories that could entertain him for the time being.
He looked at the digital clock on his computer screen and saw that it is almost midnight and it has already pass his bedtime.
Yawning, he continued to scroll down and watch any cool stories that the internet can give him. He searched any genres, like Fantasy, Sci-fi, Romance is totally out of the picture since he is not one of those guys who wants to have a relationship, Comedy. But nothing.
Nothing seems to pick his interest and was about to close his search tab, when a pop-up appeard. Gritting his teeth in annoyance, he tried to click the close button of the Pop-up that suddenly popped up, only for it to take him to a website that reads,
"http://spellsforbeginners.com.ru/"
He raised an eyebrow and decided to read further. The link address alone caught his interest and decided to read it out of sheer boredom. He gotta admit, he is actually one of those guys who believes in magic.
He waited for the link to load for about 2 minutes for the pages to appear. When the web page finished loading, his eyes couldn't believe what he saw. The first picture that he saw was a picture of hooded people, standing in what looks like a drawing of a star that is inside a circle. In the picture, there is something written there.
"Free 1 spell for non-members. Join us and you can have as many spells and incantations for life, 66666"
He raised an eyebrow at the numbers '66666' but didn't question it further.
He scrolled down on the website and was baffled to the spells he read.
There are spells that can make you strong, spells that can let you fly, and there seems to be spells that can alter the very fabric of space and time? Warning? Make sure your spiritual energy is large enough to do this kind of spell? What the heck?
He narrowed his eyebrows in annoyance. Is this some kind of website that posts fake spells just to attract weirdos and make them worship Satan or something?
He was about to close the tab when his fingers accidentally scrolled down and there, he saw something intriguing.
"If you don't believe a word you just read, why don't you try our spell instead? For non-members, you can choose one for free only. If you want to have more, just join us, and you can casts spells and incantations galore. If you want to join, just type your email address here, that is all what we want to hear."
Huh, catchy. They even made the offer sounds so tempting. Maybe it wouldn't be bad after all? I mean, one free spell sample and if it is just fraud, he won't even reveal his email address to some hacker. So, he decided to try one spell. The only problem is, is that there are literally thousands, no wait, millions of spells in here, and none of them has caught his interest. I mean, what kind of spell is 'Transmutation'?
He sighed. This is getting him nowhere, he looked at the digital clock and saw that it just five minutes till midnight.
Just when he was about to close that tab, again. He saw something that made his eyes go wide.
There, in the section 'T' of spells, there he read, 'Transformation Spells'. He clicked on it and read the description.
'Transformation Spell: This spell allows the caster to transform anyone, or anything to the desired object that they imagine. Warning, the more imaginative you are when casting this spell, the greater the consequence. Heed this warning and never try this spell unless supervised by an expert spell caster.' Blah blah blah. Expert? Yeah right, like there would be wizards and sorcerers that are alive in this world, street magicians not included.
He clicked the link that was supposed to send him to another website, but was put on hold when a confirmation was needed.
It read, 'Type your email address and username'. There on the bottom, there is a link that said, 'Not a member? Click here to continue your free spell sample' of course, he clicked that bottom link with annoyance and he was redirected to the website that he was supposed to go.
There on the website, he read some instructions. There are 3 easy steps to cast this particular spell.
'First of all, you must have an imaginative, and focused mind. Make sure to focus on what your are going to transform and whom you want to cast the spell.'
He raised an eyebrow at this. He is really imaginative. Being a loner can make your mind do some crazy imagination powers. Some of them went as far as him becoming a dragon and fly in the air freely.
'Second make sure that your spiritual energy is on par with the spell that you are about to cast. If you are about to transform something that is big, then make sure that your spiritual pool is big too. If not, then you will die....'
Okay, that statement made him uncomfortable. He decided that if he wanted to transform, it must be at least his size so he won't die or something. Not that he believes it but, it wouldn't hurt to be careful right?
He read the last step.
' Third, Make sure to recite this incantation at the night of the full moon, exactly at midnight, that is all. The transformation will begin only after the spell has been casted. Make sure to do it in an open spaced area. Be warned, depending on what object or form you seek, the transformation can either be sore or indolent.'
Okay so in other words the transformation can either be painless or painful. Whatever.
He looked at the time and saw there are only 2 minutes left untill midnight, and if he remembered correctly, there is a full moon today.
He smiled and copied the incantation with his smartphone. He double checked the incantation and made sure that it's perfectly the same as the one in the computer.
'Wait a minute, is this what feels like to be somebody who believes in magic? Dang I feel so stupid.' He thought.
He opened his bedroom window and came up with a decision to climb down since he couldn't risk getting out of his bedroom door because of the door's loud creaking.
He made a makeshift rope made out of his bed sheets and started to climb down the house.
The height from his bedroom window to the ground is at least 4 meters high, that he could easily just jump. He climbed down and let go of the blanket-rope and landed gracefully on the ground. There, he turned on the flashlight of his phone and carefully navigated his way towards the dark forest, avoiding any people or muggers that he might encounter.
"I can't believe I'm doing this." He muttered to himself.
Unbeknownst to him, a silhouette of a female followed him towards his destination.
The dragoness looked at her reflection in the pool inside her cave. She looked at herself for quite some time before turning away.
She couldn't believe what she known. She was the last of her kind. A dragon of magnificent beauty, is alone on this dark and gloomy cave. She didn't belong in this cave, she was supposed to be in the outside world and fly freely with her kind! But she must stay.... The humans had killed most of her kind, except for her. She isn't sure if there are any dragons left, especially males.
After she broke free from the crystal where she covered herself in order to survive the cruelties of time, she went outside, took a flight for a short time, and behold. There are many unknown buildings where it was once a beautiful paradise for all creatures, humans and dragons alike.
This place was supposed where she can find peace and harmony. At least, it was. It's because of one of those foolish humans who claims that dragons are evil beings created by the so called 'Satan' are here in order to destroy the world. Why? Why would they thought that dragons are evil beings? They are the same as the tiny creatures that walk among the land, seas and skies yet, they treaded her kind like monsters....
She hold back a tear as she looked at the ceiling of the cave, many stalactites and stalagmites and a few crystals glittered like the stars in her time, where dragons are carefree and....
She sobbed. She couldn't control the emotions that rushes towards her like a tsunami. Her heat isn't helping her either in the slightest---
She stopped crying.
She smelled something in the air. It is faint but, she can smell it.
'Could it.... Be?' She thought. No, she shouldn't get her hopes up. She smelled something in the air what seems to be a dragon. And a male kind of dragon! But, should she follow the scent? It could be a trap that the humans set up, they may be using some kind of spell or a contraption that lures dragons towards their territory and ambush her.....
But what more could she lose? She lost her family, her friends, her home, she didn't even care if she loses her life. That's right. There is nothing more she could lose. This is a win-win situation.
With a determined stare to nothing in particular, she readied herself for flight.
She was about to fly outside the cave when the thought of meeting the male crossed her mind. What if there really is a male dragon?! What if the male dragon dislikes her?! Should she do the traditional courting dance?! But she's didn't know the steps! Should she improvise?! What would she say? Should she make the first move? Should he?!
A slight wave of panicked coursed through her body. She didn't even know that traditional courting dance that every dragon must learn in order to get a mate. Oh no, what should she do?!
She started to breathe heavily, she couldn't mess this up. She will not! What if the dragon find her uninterested?! What if...
What if.... He will?
What if the dragon do find her interesting? Does that mean she will....
A blush appeared on her cheeks as she fantasized the things if the dragon does claim her as his mate--
She snapped herself back to reality when she heard a scream on the forest, and a painful one at that. The dragon. His dragon, is in pain. The humans! They could be....
No, not on her watch. Not again! She will not let this chance slip past her! Not again! Not anymore!
"I must hurry, I can't lose this chance!" She told herself.
She looked at the entrance of her dark cave (which is also the exit) and looked outside at the vast forest in front of her. With adrenaline pumping in her body, she flew outside the cave with amazing speed and followed the scent to save her future mate from harm.
Oh if only she knew what lies ahead of her.
Skyler walked through the growing vegetation in annoyance. He started to think that this is too much for doing one simple spell, even for a fake one, if it is fake. But if it is, then it's all worth it.
Skyler went through the overgrown bush and finally found the clearing on the forest. The clearing is his special secret sanctuary where he relaxes and escapes reality. He sometimes go here with his pet dog Poochyeena (yup, he's a Pokémon fan) until an accident involving an out-of-control driver and him crossing the road with a red pedestrian light made him lose his dog.
Anyway, he looked at his watch an noticed there is two minutes left before midnight. Okay time to get ready....
"Okay. Here goes nothing." He took out his phone and reread the incantation two times to check if there are some stuff he missed. Finally the incantation ingrained in his mind, he sat down the grassy ground and started to recite the spell. He noticed earlier that the spell consists of old Latin words. Good thing he studied Latin during his school years.
He closed his eyes, his mind focused to the picture of a dragon and recited the spell....
"Potentia terrae fulgura ventos ecce invocare...."
A soft gust of wind came out of nowhere, making the trees and other plants in the forest shake.
" numine diuum da mihi benedictionem fugam uiriumque et pernicitatis...."
The wind that was once soft and peaceful gotten stronger all of a sudden.
Dark clouds began to form in the forest, accompanied by the wind, that make most animals looked up at the sky, wondering what on earth is going on.
" uisuntur tactis excelsa quae canitur...." He continued to say the spell, not knowing of the things that is happening around him.
Thunder and lightning pierced the sky as the birds in the trees that are asleep shot up awake. The people on the town woke up due to the sudden loud thundering noises that appeared out of nowhere. They wondered why they heard the sound of thunder when there is no news about a incoming storm.
"spatium temporis attendentes...."
He could feel something.... Something warm.... In his chest....
Something is going on in his body, he tried to move but he can't. His mind wanted to stop up and cancel the spell, but his body doesn't allow it. He tried to move, he tried to stand up, but he couldn't! It's like his body is being controlled by an invisible force.
"vocatus ut declinemus...." His body continued to recite the spell without his command.
Tiny droplets of water started to fall on the face of the earth. The winds blowing violently. Thunder and lightning roared in the heavens. Yet, his body still recited the spell without his command.
He was scared. No, scared is an understatement. He is feeling beyond scared right now. His body is not in his control, the violent doings that are happening around him? He is beyond scared, more terrified. He wanted to stop, he just wanted to leave, he wanted to sleep, he wanted to go home.... He.... Wanted.... To....
Turn into a dragon....
"FABULOSA PULSU DRACO!" His body shouted. Finally finished reciting the spell.
In a blink of an eye, everything that has happened in nature stopped.
The violent gusts of wind suddenly became soft, the thundering roars and lightning went quiet. The rain stopped, and the dark clouds that are covering the sky disappeared.
He waited.... He waited for something to happen.... Anything that might do harm on him. He waited for like hours but in reality it was just 15 minutes, his body not moving because the fear of unknown.... But nothing. He didn't feel anything.
He opened his eyes---- he opened his eyes! Does that mean.... He tried moving his hands, and they did! He tried moving his legs effortlessly.... He has reclaimed control over his body! He shot up. He looked around himself.
Tons of broken branches and twigs scattered around him, looks like the brief storm that appeared because of his spell has caused quite a mess. A small gust of wind made contact on his damped body made him shiver.
"Damn.... I am totally never, ever doing that again. Wait a minute.... Wasn't I supposed to turn into a dragon now?"
He scanned himself for any change, sadly, there is none. He is the same ordinary teenager who watches MLP and playing Spyro the Dragon.
"Well that was anticlimactic...."
He sighed in disappointment, it seems the spell wasn't fake, but it didn't do anything to him except his out if control body and the sudden storm he created.
With another sigh, he started to walk back home when a stinging pain suddenly erupted in his right arm.
"Gaghhh!"
He fell to the ground, clutching his right arm in pain. He arched his back when the pain spread towards his shoulder blades.
Moments later, the pain spreads to the rest of his body. He screams as tears appeared in his eyes.
'Dangit.... Why does this.... Hurt so.... Much....' He thought. All he ever wanted to do was to become a mythical creature. To escape the stresses of reality. To just feel free from the pain that he had to cope with his life. Instead, he has to deal with this unbearable pain that is happening right now.
He fell to the ground while clutching his chest, the pain had intensified ten time over than it originally was.
'Make it stop.... Please....' Skyler thought as he mentally begged for the pain to stop while faint glowing orbs of light started to float and spin over his body where it started to change him.
The faint light started to carry him upwards as he changes rapidly. Before long the white light disappeared and a white dragon fell to the ground unconscious.
..................
Several minutes later after the dragoness heard the scream, she had been flying nonstop around the vast wet forest. It seems the forest has been watered recently that made her lose the scent of the dragon that she was about to find, but she didn't saw any rain when she looked outside her cave.
She just pushed that thought on the back of her mind and continue to looking for her potential mate. She tried to call for that dragon several times, ignoring the possibility of attracting humans, but she didn't get any response. With a heavy heart, she was about to lose hope and return back to the cave when she caught a white figure lying on the ground covered by big trees.
She swooped down and landed gracefully and silently to avoid being detected by any hostile intent. She hid behind the bushes as she draws closer to the object that she saw.
"Ugh.... My head...." The white figure said while rubbing his head with his paws.
"What the...." Skyler frozed and looked at his paws with awe.
'I can't believe it. It actually worked!' Skyler was now starting to feel excited like a boy getting a new toy.
He stood in fours and start checking himself out. He still couldn't believe that he turned into a dragon! His all time favourite mythological creature! Him! A dragon! How cool is that?!
He wobbled slightly to the side as he tries to focus on standing in fours. Skyler gritted his teeth as he remembered that he is no longer a human boy, but a dragons with a different center of balance. Trying to focus on rebalancing his body, but ended up stretching his wings to the fullest. Skyler caught a glimpse of his new figure and was completely blown off with the features.
He is a white dragon with a golden underbelly, three horns in his head that looks way too identical like Spyro in the TLOS universe except, he has three horns (the extra horn is between his other two horns, probably in the middle), and has a wingspan that reaches at least 4 meters long. He caught a glimpse of his tail and saw that it has the same tail blade as if Spyro.
'Seriously? Why can't I be more original than a Spyro the Dragon rip-off?' he thought to himself.
When Skyler first started checking himself out, he didn't noticed that a particular dragoness watched his every move from the bushes. The dragoness silently gaped in awe as she looked at the very first dragon that she saw after all these past years.
One thing that bothers Nature though is that the white dragon seems to be obsessed with himself and seems to be having troubles walking in fours.
'Oh well no matter, beggars can't be choosers I guess.' She looked at the white dragon again, just into time to see that his tail accidentally hit his side of the face and elicited a yelp of pain from him. 'Clumsy, but kinda cute though. I'm sure I can work things out. But in the meantime....'
Nature suddenly realized the situation that she is in. She was about to talk to a dragon, a male one nonetheless! What should she say?! She didn't have time to practice back in her cave. And she didn't have time to ponder what she would do when she was flying! She looked at the white dragon who seems to be getting good at walking and starts to walk towards a path that leads to a lake not far from the forest canopy.
'No stop it! No time to get cold feet! I'll just walk right up to him and.... Talk. Yeah! A good relationship always starts of with good communication right? At least, I hope this kind of relationship does. Otherwise.... I'll get dumped.' Nature gulped and followed the dragon silently with the help of the forest's vegetation as cover.
After Skyler finished admiring his new body, he decided to practice walking. He followed a path that leads to the lake.
With one foot right in front of the other, and another, and another, he started to walk faster and was now walking in a leisurely pace. While walking, Skyler took note of his center of balance and remembered its feeling so he wouldn't tumble again.
He looked up and saw that he arrived at the edge of the woods and into the shores of the lake.
The moon that shines brightly in the night sky reflected upon the still waters of the lake, making it a breathtaking scenery that made his eyes dilate.
*Thump!*
Skyer's head perked up at the sound that came behind him. He turned around with his guard up while silently backing away from the unknown.
"Who's there? Come out where I can see you!" He scanned the forest with his keen draconian eyes as his gaze landed on a particularly strange shaped bush.
"I could've sworn that bush wasn't there before...." He gulped. Should he try to find out what made that noise or not? Probably the best course of action is to run away, but that wasn't what Skyler had done.
He walked slowly and silently towards the bush that made the noise, he could've sworn he saw it move again but it was just a slight rustle.
He stopped. He could hear something breathing heavily even at the distance of 4 meters. His draconian hearing allows him to hear that the noise was surely made by a living creature, but the question is, what kind of creature?
Countless thoughts began to form in Skyler's mind as he chose some of the best possible course of action that he would take. If it is human, he could just probably talk it down.... or probably not. He bet his explanation will only freak out the human occupant(s) hiding on that bush. But on the other hand, if it is not a human but a wild animal.... Well, he always wanted to try to fight like a dragon. Guess he'll just go with the flow for now.
Skyler took a step forward, and another, and another, until he is merely inches away from the bush that is in front of him. The breathing that he heard stopped, it seems whoever is hiding behind this bush must have sensed him. No matter, time to see who this person really is.
With that, he was about to push through the shrubbery when a dark green muzzle touches his own.
Skyler frozed. His muzzle is touching something, and he is pretty sure it isn't human. His gaze traveled from the snout to the two pair of eyes that directly stared at him. It's emerald eyes gazed at him with nervousness and curiosity.
Skyler's breathing stopped. What his snout is touching is definitely not a human, it definitely wasn't a wild animal, or at least he thinks it isn't. No, what he touched his muzzle with is something similar as his own.
A dragon. A dark green dragon.
Now, Skyler may be a snarky, overly prideful, logically calm 19 year old adolescent when faced with an unknown threat or situation, but somewhere deep on the inside, he is more like a lost little, scared lamb with no owner to guide him. He pretended to be brave and bold on the outside, but on the inside, he is downright frightened. He only acted that way because he thinks that being able to ask for help counts as being weak.
But let's not get side tracked from the story. Right now, Skyler did the only logical thing he had in mind when faced with an unknown, mythological creature that has happened to touch his muzzle with its own. He quickly turned tailed and ran away from the dragon, only to be stopped by a body full of water behind him.
He quickly looked at the dragon who seems to be surprised and confused at the same time, at least, that's what he think it is. He couldn't read dragon facial expressions properly, it is a lot more different than humans.
'Oh shit. If only I knew how to fly.' He mentally cursed himself and face-palmed while looking at the dragon with fear.
With no exchange of words and only his eyes telling it what he is about to do, Skyler quickly bolted around the dragon and into the deep dark forest in front of him.
"Wait! Stop!" Commanded a feminine sound.
'A female?!' Skyler thought, her command only done nothing but passed through his head as his thoughts were overrun with a lot of possible thoughts of being wandered into the territory of a dragon. If memory serves right, he read and watched in some books and movies, like How To Train Your Dragon, that dragons are very territorial creatures that will probably attack or on some cases, kill when someone or something wandered towards its territory. Especially if it is the wrath of a female....
'Oh god. Please tell me I didn't wander into her territory! Wait a minute! Did I just met a dragon(ess)?! ' He looked behind and saw that the dragoness was giving chase to him and it is closing the distance between them.
'WHY IS SHE FOLLOWING ME?!'
To be continued....
