In a fantasy world, where dragons fly and technology is almost magical. There are still banks with powertrips.

Reevian slowly woke up on the floor of her apartment, she stretched her paws out sleepily and groped around to find Neebis with no success. She opened an eye and could see the sun had risen, it's light illuminating the edges of the window, the blinds doing their best to stave back the light. She blinked a few times to try and get her eyes to focus but could quickly tell that Neebis was not in the nest of cushions that he had setup for them last night. With a sigh she stretched out on the cushions, her neck drapped over the edge of their nest as she smiled, remembering their activities last night. The air was still thick with the scent of cosmetics and sex. She closed her eyes and rested for a while waiting for Neebis to come back.

She waited for what felt like ages before giving a sigh and resigned herself to getting up. She rolled onto her front and slowly stood up, her legs felt like jelly and her ankles were swollen as she headed to the bathroom to clean herself up from their activities. As she passed the mirror she noticed her scales were particularly glossy and her horns looked amazing. "Maybe this stuff does work" she muttered to herself outloud.

She grabbed a cloth and wet it under the sink before scrubbing herself, she was still mostly clean from last night's shower but she was taken a bit aback by Neebis's seed that was dried to her groin. "Poor drake, he must have been pent up" she chuckled to herself. She struggled to reach all the areas he had covered due to her belly but did her best and eventually got everything she could see. She tossed the towel into the laundry basket and made her way out of the apartment, Neebis still wasn't back from wherever he had gone and she was starting to get a little bit worried. Usually Tuesdays they would spend most of the day snuggled together, and his absence was starting to gnaw on her.

She slowly made her way down the stairs and came out into the quiet marketplace. All the stalls were closed on Tuesdays and she took a moment to appreciate the quiet.

She noticed that the awning wasn't fully tied closed and lifted part of it up to look inside. Sitting inside the stall, Neebis had a pile of paperwork Infront of him with a focused look on his face.

"So this is where you got to" she said sleepily as she moved into the stall, the flap of the awning closing behind her.

His head jolted up as she spoke. "Oh hello, sorry. I wanted to get the place cleaned up from yesterday"

Reevian looked around and indeed he had been busy, all the dishes had been cleaned, bins emptied and grill scraped clean. She moved next to him and leaned against him as he draped a wing around her, holding her close.

She looked at the paperwork he was looking at, they were mostly bank statements and tax reports for her business. "Know what you are doing?" She teased, giving him a kiss on his cheek and pressing her head against his throat.

He put down the paperwork and snuggled into her, "no clue" he whispered. "I spoke to Teeba and she is keen on my delivery idea. She even offered to go thirds on it, and help out. But I don't know how much money we have, or if we could manage it." His voice slightly sad, she knew this meant a lot to him. But she knew they didn't have much in the way of savings, and with an egg on the way she knew they were going to be tight.

"How much do you need?" She asked softly.

"I don't know. That's the problem, I really want to make this work, but I think Its probably a job for a smarter drake" he softly said, his voice just above a whisper.

"You probably need someone who has started a business before..." She led, leaning close to him.

"That would be great! Teeba said we will need to get some vendors onboard, she can handle the tech and knows people in marketing. But all the back end stuff, taxes and income stuff is just so foreign to me. It would be great if I could sit down with someone who knew this stuff and help me wrap my head around it"

She sat down next to him. "If only..." She said with a smile. She looked at him and waited for him to notice. He shuffled some paperwork before noticing he was being stared at.

He looked at her and met her gaze, she had a smile but he didn't get the joke.

"Neebis! Come on!" She laughed. His face still stunned. "You don't need a drake who has opened a business before!"

"Yes I do, I have no idea what I'm doing" he cried

"Maybe you need a 'ness who has opened a business before." She said as she pushed her head into his neck. She heard his sharp inhale as he finally worked it out.

"You!" He exclaimed.

"There's my drake, working out the hard problems" she teased. She kissed his neck and then turned to the paperwork. "Don't you worry your sexy little rump about this stuff. We will probably need to get a loan, but if you are serious about this.... I'm in" she said and looked him in his eyes.

"I know you like running the stall, but we need to have a backup. With little one we can't keep doing this." He said sincerely

She sighed in agreement. "You're lucky you're so damn sweet." She said with a smile. "Running a stall, baby on the way, creating a startup. We must be a glutton for punishment." She said as she nuzzled into him.

"I know it's not perfect timing, but if we don't do it now, someone else might" he said warmly.

"Ok, how about we go to the bank, see what they say?" She said, enjoying the closeness of his body against hers.

Neebis tapped a paw against the bank floor nervously, his tallons making a clicking noise that seemed to echo in the quiet bank. They had been waiting for what felt like ages while waiting to speak to someone about a loan, there seemed to be very few customers yet they were left waiting. Reevian had pulled some cushions off a small couch and was lying down on the hard floor while leaning against a pillar.

Neebis eyed the tellers and wondered why things took so long here, his bow tie itched on his neck scales but he wanted to make a good impression, he had a neat folder with paperwork that Reevian had prepared, each page filled with numbers of growth and profits that he didn't really understand.

"If you keep tapping your foot, you will scratch the tiles" Reevian said warmly. He turned to her with a smile and padded over to her. He lay down next to her and intertwined his tail with hers.

"I just didn't think it we would be waiting this long. I'm starting to get hungry" he said quietly, the slightest noise seemed to be an intrusion on the silent sterile atmosphere of the bank.

"Drake's and their stomachs" she teased. She rubbed her cheek against his and gave him a nibble at the base of his horns. "I know what we could do to get their attention" her voice just above a whisper as she clenched her tail around his, enjoying his cheeks blush.

"Reevian!" he exclaimed as quietly as he could. Enjoying her giggles as he gave her a kiss on her neck.

"Although....." He started as he traced kisses down her throat, in the corner of his eye he could see the tellers watching him. "It looks like they want a show" he whispered, his voice low and husky.

"Don't threaten me with a good time" she said as she closed her eyes and enjoyed his affections.

He slowly pulled away and double checked the forms and applications they had filled out, double checking all the fields were filled out.

"You know... I'm starting to understand why someone would hold up a bank.... It would at least mean you get served quickly." He joked.

Reevian stifled a laugh "shhh don't say things like that. You will get us kicked out"

"Please, they wouldn't kick a pregnant 'ness out" he chided quietly with a smirk.

"Oh, good to see I'm here for a good reason" she retorted.

"Roll over and I'll give you a good hard reason" he whispered into her ear l, causing her to blush.

"Miss Reevian!" A voice called and they both perked their heads up. A small human lady in a powerful looking suit was standing near one of the small private meeting rooms

"That's us!" Replied Reevian as she got to her feet with his help.

"Ah, I see" the lady remarked before moving towards a larger meeting room and opened the door.

As the couple approached they took note of her name tag, it read "Liz" with no last name and had a job title which seemed to suggest they were of power but it wasn't a title that Neebis was familiar with.

They were led into the larger meeting room which seemed to be designed for large creatures, the floor had a scattering of cushions and there was a desk for Liz which was raised by a few steps, bringing her to the same height as them when they lay down. Neebis noted the clock on the wall was a few minutes fast and was quite loud. The cushions looked like a welcome change to the hard floor they were sleeping in, but they both realized that they were made out of some sort of slash proof material which was a bit itchy and uncomfortable. They shared a look and lay down anyway, the quality of the furnishings were inconsequential to their objective.

"So! I hear you two are looking at getting a loan" Liz said cheerfully.

Neebis explained that they were after some money to start up a delivery company, but kept most of the details vague. He passed over the documents and Reevian helped explain the reports, Liz glanced over them but even Neebis could see her eyes were not moving over the figures. His gut tightened with unease as he could already tell this was a waste of time.

After Reevian finished, Liz took a moment to enter some information into the computer. Both Neebis and Reevian waited patiently for her to finish. Whatever she was doing seemed incredibly complex, the way her hands darted over the keys and she had to swipe her ID card multiple times in a special reader. She would ask them a question about their business and Reevian would point out the details on the reports and then Liz would continue with her flurry of key strokes, her typing seemed to take longer than the questions she was asking and Neebis couldn't help but feel his frustration starting to grow.

Reevian saw his jaw clench and she gently put a paw around his forearm, calming him down.

"So the system here says that we cannot offer you any products" Liz finally said with a definitive tone.

"What does that mean?" Neebis asked, his voice tight as he felt his dreams being dashed.

"I'm sorry, but you have come back as a high risk and we cannot offer you a loan at this time. If perhaps you had more capital then we could entertain the idea, but as it stands we cannot offer you a loan." Liz said coldly.

"More capital? The reason why we are here, is we need money, isn't that what a loan is?" Neebis said, his voice starting to raise without him noticing. "If we had more money we wouldn't need a loan!'

Reevian held his arm, her claws digging slightly into him.

"I'm sorry guys, but there is nothing I can do" said Liz as she got up.

"No! There is!" Said Reevian. Neebis turned to her and he could tell she was starting to get fired up. "Just because you sit on that side of the desk and we sit on the floor doesn't mean you are better than us." She said, her voice dripping with frustration. "If you give us this loan your company stands to make thousands in interest and fees, if we fuck up then you still stand to make thousands when you repossess our assets. So don't think for one second that you are better than us" she snarled

"I'm sorry guys, the fact of the matter is, we have the money you need, so you will play by our rules-"

"Ha! No. You have money, but you are not the only bank that has money. So how about you take your two little legs and march yourself to someone with a brain and tell them you don't want to make your company money" she said, her teeth showing and eyes focused on hers.

Neebis looked a little worried, he had never seen Reevian this angry before, clearly she was starting to vent a lot of lent up frustrations and angers at the little lady. To Liz's credit she held Reevian's gaze for longer than they all expected.

"Like I said, you are too high risk for us to loan money too" Liz tried to say calmly.

"Look at me, I'm pregnant and self employed, because of that you think I'm high risk right?" She snarled. Liz gave a small nod. "You think that I would abandon my business that I have spent years building from the ground up, you think we don't know the risks? Do you really think I would not do everything in my power to make sure my whole world doesn't get packed up and repossessed while we raise my child?" Her voice almost breaking, she swallowed deeply. "Or would you rather loan money to someone who has no dependents and no scales in the game. Go find your boss and bring them here so I can hear it from authority." She said not realizing that her head was now inches away from Liz who promptly got up and left the room.

As the door closed behind Liz all Neebis could hear was the loud ticking of the clock and Reevians elevated breathing. Her claws still right against his forearm, he turned to her and looked at his mate. "Fuck, breathe Reevian" he said, trying to make light of the situation. "If they say no we can go elsewhere"

"Oh no, this is personal now. I'm tired of this bullshit where people think they can push us around. We are not leaving without our loan" she said her voice still raised.

"Hey, it's ok. If we can try somewhere els-" he stopped when she looked at him, her eyes focused into his very soul.

"If they say no, we are robbing this place" she said, her voice serious and she gazed up at the ceiling to take note of the security camera

"Reevian!" He cried and she looked at him. She held his gaze for a moment before breaking into a big smile.

"Your face!" She laughed. "Fuck Neebis, did you think I was serious?" She said as she lent into his stunned face.

"Honestly, I don't know.... and I think that's what scares me most" he muttered as he tenderly rubbed his head against hers.

They continued to nuzzle until they head the door open and a man entered the room along side a large burly black dragon who proceeded to sit in the corner of the room. The man checked his watch, the dragons knew nothing about human jewelry but it didn't look cheap.

"Good afternoon, miss Rihvan is it?" The man's voice was smooth and his words measured

"Reevian, yes." She corrected flatly.

"I understand that you were not happy with my associates assessment of your application?" He said as he took a seat behind the table.

"That's putting it nicely, yes* Reevian said looking him up and down, he didn't have a name tag but he held himself like he was in-charge.

"Let me take a look." He said as he reviewed the documents and what was in the screen.

Neebis and Reevian sat patiently, the only sounds were the loud ticking of the clock on the wall and the ratcheting of the scroll wheel.

"And I understand you are expecting?" He said, his eyes still reading the screen.

"I'm not sure what that has to do with..." Reevian stopped as Neebis gently squeezed her paw.

"Yes we are" Neebis added.

The man made no comment as he kept scrolling. "And I understand you both work in a market?" He said, his voice dripping with judgement.

"We work at my business, that is in a market yes." Reevian said, trying to keep calm. "I opened the stall with only my savings and it's now thriving, we can barely keep up with the orders, we need this money to allow us to expand."

"I thought this money was for some kind of delivery service" he said coldly.

"Well yes" started Neebis."We are moving to deliver our food to the customers" he didn't want to go into too much detail for risk of saying something wrong.

"And do you have much experience with that?" The man said as he turned to Neebis.

"Well.." he stammered.

"Neebis here has worked in a large logistics company, managing deliveries for customers across the city. Recently he has been using that experience to deliver to some of our most valued customers." Reevian said, she knew she was stretching the truth but it was not a lie.

"I see" he said and turned back to the computer to type in some details.

The pause seemed to go on forever as he typed away at the computer. Both dragons looked to the printer in the corner as he hummed to life. The man stepped over to it and collected the papers and returned.

"Here is your contract and how much that can be withdrawn" he started. He went through the paperwork with them and Neebis could feel his heart pounding in his chest, he glanced over to Reevian and he could tell she was feeling the same.

They both signed the paperwork and the man returned to the scanner, lifting up the lid he placed the paperwork under the lid and pressed a few buttons. The printer beeped frantically and the man gave it a firm kick. "I'm sorry, we lease these things and I don't know what the previous owners did to it, but the parts keep sticking"

Eventually the printer played nice and the man returned to the two smiling dragons.

"Here you go, these are your copies. The funds will be available in 24 hours and I wish you luck with your new ventures" he said in a tone that sounded rehearsed. "And I wish you the best with your egg" he added. He gestured to the door and the large black dragon opened it for them.

Reevian and Neebis gave him a nod in acknowledgement and walked out of the room, as they walked across the foyer Reevian couldn't help but give a smile and wave the paperwork in the air for the tellers to see. Liz being one of them.

They kept their composure until they made it around the corner before Neebis let out a loud exhale. Reevian laughed "oh my god, did we just do that!" She exclaimed.

"We! You just did that! 'take your two little legs and go fuck yourself' where do that come from" he laughed

"I have no idea! I was just so angry" she said as he wrapped his wing over her and pulled her into a kiss.

"We should tell Teeba" said Neebis.

Reevian pulled out her tablet from a pouch around her neck and tapped away with a claw.

They didn't have to wait long before they got a reply. 'my place, now, let's celebrate' with a collection of emojis between each word.

Reevian held her phone so Neebis could see it. "Shall we?" She asked.

"Yes, I think I need a drink after that" Neebis said as he looked around to get his bearings. "If we cut through the parks it's probably not too far to walk, if your up to it."

"A walk in the park with my mate! All of the yes!" She said. "I feel like I've been stuck in the apartment or stall for days now."

He pulled her close and kissed her on the top of her head. "I know, we really need to get out more"

Neebis and Reevian slowly walked their way through the park district. It was a far cry from the farm that Neebis grew up on, but he enjoyed walking under the trees and watching the water ripple in the artificial lake that took up a large section of the park. Neebis smiled as he held Reevian close, here in the park there was no rush, no dishes, no customers. They stopped to rest on a park bench to rest Reevian's paws, they sat in silence while they watched other people jog down the paths.

"You know, if this goes wrong-" started Reevian.

"It wont" he interrupted her.

"But if it does-" She was silenced by a kiss, she moaned into his touch as he pushed his tongue into her mouth. Their kiss lasted for minute until they parted, panting.

"I will do everything I can to make this work, I promise" he said, looking deeply into her eyes. She swooned and pushed her head against his neck, closing her eyes and breathed in his scent, It was hard to describe but she felt calmed by it.

He whispered just loud enough for her to hear. "Because I really don't want to be on the receiving end of what I just saw at the bank."

She laughed, her voice making him smile.

"So, what are we going to call our little one" he said and rubbed a paw across her swollen belly.

"Is it bad that I don't know?" She asked, looking at him with one eye.

"I think its odd that we give them names before we have met them. Like what if we call him Atlas, and he isn't an Atlas at all" He said, enjoying her laugh.

"Really? Atlas?" She said, turning to him. "What's so special about the name Atlas."

"Oh, I remember the name from a story I read growing up." he said, slightly blushing.

"You read books?" She exclaimed.

"Yes I read books" he said and gave her a playful shove. "Just maybe not as many as others" he added quietly.

"Uh-huh" she said, with a grin on her face. "And what did this Atlas get up to?" she teased.

"Hey, it was a good story ok. It was about him and his 'ness and their adventures." He explained, his voice betraying his excitement for sharing his enjoyment of the stories.

"Oh okay I see, a drake and a 'ness hey?" She couldn't contain her giggles, the idea of him reading a romantic novel causing her much amusement.

"Oh it wasn't smut, Or at least not what I got up to. There was a lot of 'will-they wont-they' but nothing graphic happened" He explained his cheeks red.

"Not every romance story has to have 'and then they banged' in it Neebis" she chided, pressing her body against his.

His wing tightened around her and she heard him mutter under his breath "but I wish they just would"

"So, Atlas if its a boy?" she asked

"No... maybe, I don't know." he said and turned so he could move his snout down to her belly. He gave her a lick and added "I would like to meet him first.... Or her"

"Maybe we should make it an internet poll. 'Name our child because we don't know' that could be fun" she said.

Neebis looked at her mortified. "Do you want 'Drakey McDrake Face? Because that's how you get 'Drakey McDrake Face'"

She laughed loudly, "Oh you are too fun to wind up."

He kissed her just behind her ears. "We should probably keep moving, Does Teeba want us to bring food?"

Reevian's eyes went wide "Fuck, Probably, Poor thing probably hasn't eaten since yesterday" she said before stepping off the bench. "Although, I'm not sure if just eating my noodles is good for you."

"You can eat my noodle, I promise its good for you" Neebis joked. She turned back to him and lifted her tail, flashing her vent to him and chuckled as he almost fell of the bench.

"Come on, my hot noodle" she said with a wink.

Reevian was taken aback by the opulence of the spires residence, Neebis noticed her tighten her wings around her body, trying to hide her bump as they walked across the foyer of the northern spire. She felt out of place as they walked towards the buzzer panel, This floor was usually used by ground based creatures and she felt like she was imposing, both of their horns only inches off the mirrored ceiling. Neebis on the other hand seemed to walk with confidence, the bags of food swinging around his neck with each step.

He pressed the buzzer with the same musical tone and Teebas voice finally came through "Finally! come on up" and Neebis led her to the lifts, using a wing tip to hold the door open for his mate. He gave her rump a sneaky nip as he walked in after her and he chuckled at her gasp. As they rode the elevator they looked at each other in the mirrored walls. He put a wing around her again and pulled her close. "They look so happy" he joked as he looked at her in the mirror, earning him a playful shove from her. "Oh no, looks like they are fighting" he added with a laugh.

"Still a better story than the Breederette" she said, poking his paw with a claw.

Teeba's door was already open when they arrived in the hallway and Neebis showed her inside.

As he walked into Teeba's apartment he realized maybe this was not the best idea. The scent of Teeba's heat still thick in the air and caused his eyes to water. "Lets celebrate they said, It will be fun they said" he muttered under his breath and stepped inside. Spending the afternoon with two dragoness's, his loving mate, and a young 'ness on heat. What could possibly go wrong.......
