Part 2
For John_Doe12346

For all that he had been feeling better after the meeting with Drac, that feeling faded as both Cody and Garrick got grumpier and grumpier with the passing days. The more that the other students left the college behind for the better-weather places, the emptier the dorm actually felt. They started to look each other in the eye, wondering whether they were going to have anyone here besides themselves over the winter holidays if the storm came rolling in. More than once, Ari heard his roommates calling in to the airports, seeing if it was possible to shift their tickets, but none of them had the funds to pay for a date change this close to departure.
And he was rather grateful for that, despite his worries about what would happen over the holidays.
When the storm came rolling in Monday morning, the week before Christmas, he wasn’t surprised to wake up to find that his roommates were as frustrated as could be. For once, it wasn’t even directed at each other. It was directed at the thing that they couldn’t do anything about.
Of course, that could have easily led to something worse, but they both had the same idea, and for once, Ari was surprised that they’d come up with something so workable. They would go to the Dorm Head and see if he could give them a key to an empty dorm for the duration of the holidays so that they didn’t end up killing each other.
“He’s gotta have something,” Cody said, who was the one to come up with the idea. “I mean, everybody had to hand theirs in before leaving, right?”
“Well, probably. I think some of the rich guys kept theirs,” Garrick said, walking alongside the bigger guy down the hallway. “But that’s not all of them, surely.”
“Right. That way, we each get our space, and nobody has to worry.”
Ari followed behind the other two as they marched for the Dorm Head’s office, wondering what was going to happen and rather torn on what he hoped for. On the one hand, he hated seeing the two of them fighting since it kept messing with his fantasy of the three of them working together and enjoying one another. On the other hand, he rather liked the idea of having them all together, keeping each other company over the holidays, and…
Well, admittedly, that was a fantasy, too, but he didn’t know what else to do. He was not straight and he was stuck with two very good-lucking guys, both of which he had a crush on, both of which would sooner cut off their own balls rather than let someone like him be with them. He didn’t know how to handle that, so he kept slipping back to fantasy.
As soon as they reached the office, Drac opened the door. Hell, he did it while Garrick was still lifting his hand to knock. The black dragon looked down on them, his seven feet of height meaning he loomed over all of them.
“Yes?” he asked.
“Hey, we were wondering,” Cody said. “Well, not so much wondering. We wanted to ask a favor.”
The dragon arched an eyeridge, and almost like he’d been given a message himself, Ari realized that the favor wasn’t going to come through. There was something that would come up, something that the dragon would say wasn’t quite working out, or something along those lines. He didn’t know what it would be, but they weren’t getting what they came for.
“Do you happen to have a spare key to an empty room?” Garrick asked.
“For what?” Drac asked back.
“We…” Garrick glanced at Cody. “We’ve been having a number of spats lately, and with everyone else gone, we thought that it might be better to ask for a separate room for the holidays.”
“Ah, you boys couldn’t get out before the storm hit, huh?”
“No, we couldn’t, sir. And we would like the chance to be responsible, proactive, and do something to keep ourselves from causing damage to each other or the room.”
“Well, see, if you wanted to get a private room, you’re going about it entirely the wrong way,” the dragon said.
“Sir?”
“You see, you just basically started your request by threatening the guy in charge of the dorms that there will be damage if you don’t get a place to yourself. Not a good place to start.”
“Uh, um –”
“Second, while I sympathize with roommate problems, I really doubt that anything will happen to the room itself. At least, not sufficiently to cause problems. We are stuck here – and indoors, I might add – until the snowstorm passes. If your issue is that there’s not sufficient space, then I think that you should have brought that up before now.”
Garrick was spluttering, something that – admittedly – the actor did quite a lot, but this was the first time that Ari had seen him doing it out of a loss for words rather than for effect. As his roommate continued to try and speak, the dragon just continued steamrolling him.
“However, if the issue is your difficulties with each other, then have no fear. I’ll be there in thirty minutes for a quick bonding session.”
“Bonding – sir, we aren’t going to sort this out. We’ve been trying to sort this out all year.”
“Then it’s a good thing that we finally have time without classes or anything else to distract us, then, isn’t it?” the dragon asked, chuckling. “Return to your dorm. I’ll be with you in thirty minutes.”
And with that, the door shut. Garrick was left with his mouth half-open, obviously trying to marshal an argument against what had just happened, while Cody was biting off a giggle at the whole thing. The pair of them were completely shocked, though, even though the latter was a little more amused at it.
Ari, on the other hand, wondered what in the world the dragon had planned.
There’s no way that this is going to solve anything. I mean, they’ve been in each other’s hair and in each other’s business all semester. No way that he can fix that with one meeting.
Yet, he remembered how calmed he had been at the last meeting, and how Drac had promised that he could fix this if he just trusted the dragon to get it done. He just hoped that this was what the big guy meant.
“Well, guess it’s back to the dorm,” Ari said.
“You’re joking. He must be joking,” Garrick said. “Are we really just going to…that was just…”
“Undignified?” Cody asked.
“Yes! Good god, he’s robbed me of speech. That doesn’t happen. That never happens.”
“Well, dragons hoard things,” Ari said. “Maybe he just hoarded your vocabulary.”
Cody laughed out loud at that, and after a moment of stewing, so did Garrick. There really was nothing that they could do besides go back to the dorm after that, though, so they did just that, making their way back down the hall and sliding back into their room.
The whole place was quiet. Beyond quiet, really, since quiet was how he would normally describe it at night. Outside of their dorm, and the noise that they made walking around, the building was silent. It was unnerving, and not in a small way, either. It actually sent chills down his spine as he realized just how used to the shouts and screams from the other dorms he’d gotten, and how weird it felt to have it so quiet.
He sat down on the couch, pulling up the hack-and-slash game to kill time, while Garrick sat down with his script. Cody cocked his head to the side.
“Why are you even bothering?”
“It’s just postponed, not canceled,” Garrick muttered.
“Yeah, but it’s not like you’re going to perform until after New Year, is it?”
“That’s as may be, but I don’t want to lose what I have.”
“You mean Mr. Perfect can forget?”
“He can, thank you very much.”
“Well, excuse me for talking.”
“You are excused, as long as you shut up from now on.”
An argument was brewing again, and he didn’t know what he was going to do to distract them this time. He looked at the screen, then at Cody, then at Garrick. Oh god, he was going to have to side with one of them.
Uh, last time it was Garrick, so this time –
“Hey, Cody!”
He shouted rather than talked, and he blushed immediately as the bigger guy turned his way.
“Uh, think that there’s a new map out? I think that they said something about a holiday event, didn’t they?”
“Yeah, probably.”
“Want the first go?”
“…Yeah, why not?”
One crisis averted, at least, he thought, getting to his feet and walking around the couch after Cody took the controller from him. Now to just keep them from killing each other until Drac gets here.
Considering how they had already gone from 0 to 80 – not quite a hundred, because that would have meant a fight had already broken out – already, that meant that he’d need to treat carefully. One little push, and they’d explode.
#
His anxiety was on the verge of snapping him in two when he heard the knock on the door. He jumped to his feet, getting away from the game of Boggle and running to let the dragon in.
“That’ll be him.”
“Finally,” Garrick muttered.
“What?” Cody asked. “You that bored?”
“That frustrated. I thought you were supposed to be good at games.”
“Yeah, games. Not spelling exercises.”
“Jocks.”
“Actors.”
He put that out of his head as he opened the door, hoping against hope that the dragon had something in mind. As soon as he pulled the door open, though, he felt a little bit better. Not much, but a little, enough to ease the anxiety a little.
The black dragon came equipped with two large bottles of rum, a number of different bags of snacks, and, hanging from the tip of his tail, a little box that almost looked like what would hold a deck of cards. Ari had a split second to stare at the last thing before the Dorm Head walked past him, stepping into the dorm proper.
“Alright, guys. I have a few things for each of you. Something to loosen you up, something to keep you happy, and something to pass the time,” the black dragon said. “Why don’t you guys get the glasses down and we’ll get started.”
Cody and Garrick looked at the rum and immediately ran for the cupboards in the kitchenette that the dorm had. Ari shook his head. If it was one thing that the both of them appreciated, it was a good bit of alcohol. The rum was probably some of the better stuff that either of them had gotten for days, if not weeks.
As the other guys started getting their stuff, the black dragon picked out a spot at the communal table that they had. It wasn’t the biggest thing, little more than a medium circle that would hold three people, four at a pinch. Drac sat at one end, distributing the rum around to either side, and then pulled the box of cards off his tail. And indeed, it was cards, as he shook a deck out and started shuffling them.
Ari sat down beside the dragon, leaning in to whisper.
“They’re not big on card games, just so you know.”
“I know.”
“Then why –”
“Let’s just say that it’s not an average game of cards.”
“…What are you doing?”
“Just what you asked me to.”
“But I didn’t –”
“Ari. Just trust me.”
The dragon gently rubbed his thigh under the table, and Ari was too busy blushing to find anything to say in response. By the time that he had collected himself enough to even try, Cody and Garrick had already joined them at the table, and there was nothing that he could say without outing himself. He just had to trust the dragon.
He hoped that he could.
After the first round was poured, the black dragon capped off the bottle and set it to the side. Cody had already gone halfway through his glass, while Garrick was going a little bit slower with his. The actor was savoring it as he always did, taking his time, going through it little bit by little bit.
And when he was halfway done and Cody was about to ask for another cup, the dragon did something different.
“Gentlemen.”
Drac’s single word drew their eyes to him, and then, suddenly, Cody and Garrick went still. Not stiff, but still. They stared, Cody’s mouth open by a half inch or so, and Garrick’s eyes slowly drooping. It almost looked like they were falling asleep where they sat, but they weren’t falling backwards, nor forwards. They leaned a little bit, yes, but no more than that.
It was like they were slowly losing their ability to stay upright, their eyes lowering, then coming open again, then dropping a bit more. They looked glazed over, like they were struggling to even be present, let alone awake. They groaned, stammered a bit, then went quiet.
And through it all, they never looked away from the big black dragon.
Ari watched the whole thing with his mouth hanging open, his eyes going wider and wider as he looked between his roommates. This was impossible. There was no way that this could be happening. This was almost like –
“Quiet, Ari,” the black dragon muttered.
“I’m not doing anything,” he said, his voice shaky but soft.
“No, but you’re thinking very loudly, and this is a bit delicate.”
“What – you – what’s going on?”
“Just relax for a moment, let me get this settled, and I’ll explain a little bit more. But be quiet, and relax. Just…try.”
He did, though that was more than he expected of himself at that point. He honestly wasn’t sure if he would be able to slow his heart down enough to actually be able to be ‘quiet’, as the dragon put it. All he knew was that something was happening to the guys that he was crushing on, and he had no idea what it was.
Eventually, they leaned forward enough to be completely limp, their hands off the table, their eyes half-closed. All the tension went out of them, and Ari was surprised that it almost made them look like two completely different people. It was like looking at guys that he’d never seen before, rather than the people he’d lived with for months.
“There. That’ll hold for a while.”
“That’ll hold? What did you do to them?”
“The same thing that I did to you. A little hypnosis.”
“Hypnosis? But –”
“Shhh. Indoor voice, Ari, please.”
Indoor voice, when he had just seen two of his friends getting completely zonked out, when they were obviously unaware of anything that was going on around them? That was a bit of a tall order. Yet, at the same time, he tried. He tried very, very hard, even going so far as to cover his mouth until he could stop shaking and panting.
The black dragon poured a smaller shot of the rum, passing it over. Ari downed it in the space of a half-second, and immediately started coughing. As he bent over, hacking, it actually helped settle him again, particularly with the dragon’s hand on his back.
“Better?”
“Ugh…kinda.”
“Better than nothing.”
“I guess.”
“It’ll be okay.”
“Could…could you please tell me what’s going on?”
“Oh, that?” He nodded at the two hypnotized humans. “That’s making sure that they’ll be ready for the game. It’ll be a fun one, don’t you worry about that.”
“I’m not worried about a fun game. I’m worried about whatever the hell you’re doing, and how the heck you’re doing it.”
“Ari, I haven’t hurt you in all the time that you’ve come to me.”
“Yeah…but you did hypnotize me today. Did you do anything to me then?”
“Nothing that you didn’t want,” the dragon said, shaking his head. “I can show you what happened, if you want me to.”
“…”
Honestly, he almost did want to know what had happened. He knew that something had, now that he’d seen what Drac could do with his powers to people that were completely awake and unaware of it. Seeing that the dragon could put someone out with just a look was more than a little freaky, particularly when he had no idea what was going on, or how it was going to keep going.
That said, he was also more than slightly nervous.
He rubbed the back of his head, and the black dragon made the decision for him. Drac reached over, made him look up, and their eyes met.
On his back, panting, Ari stares at the ceiling. His eyes are half-closed, but he can see the black-scaled foot in his face. Soft, natural musk permeates the air, some from that foot, some from the dripping from his cock.
“You’re going to be very comfortable tonight. You’re going to be very comfortable for the rest of the week. All that stress is being milked out now. All that need, all that pent-up sadness and aggression and fear, all of that stuff that’s coming up because you’re not getting what you want; that’s all getting milked out now.”
Getting milked out. Jerked out. Slowly rubbed and teased. His cock throbs and spits more pre-cum, and as it does, his mind slips further, his tension slowly fading.
He sticks out his tongue, gradually dragging it along the bottom of the dragon’s foot, tasting a little bit of scales, a little bit of something else, but nothing more. No dirt, no sweat, nothing that would put him off or wake him up. Just that lovely feeling of being with another guy, the play, the fun.
He moans, thrusting his hips upwards, feeling his orgasm coming. A moan, then a gasp of pleasure escapes him as the dragon’s hand pulls back.
“Not yet. Let it build up. Let it be more. Little more, little more.”
He moans, whimpering, but does as he is told. He is an obedient person. He will do as he is told.
Ari gasped as he came back out of the moment, shivering from head to toe as he felt the need running through him again. His cock was hard as could be under the table, and he could hardly believe what he’d just seen in front of him.
“How…you…”
“I told you. Hypnosis.”
“And you did that to me?”
“With your permission.”
“I never said you could jerk me off!”
“I didn’t show you that part.”
“…Ugh…Are you saying…that…that you and me…”
“Well, no. That was just the first time.” The dragon shook his head. “We only did it that one time when you last came to visit. You needed something particularly badly that time, and I thought you could use a little touch, too.”
“…” He blushed. “You’re not…entirely wrong.”
“Glad to know I can still read people.”
“But how did you –”
“The same way that I’m going to solve your roommate problem tonight,” he said. “I’m not going to hypnotize them into being someone different; that’s a little bit on the nose, and it might not stick. Instead, we’re going to play a game.”
Drac held up the deck of cards, holding them out. Taking them with one shaking hand, Ari flipped them over.
“Oh, fuck…”
The dragon nodded, and Ari blushed as he kept flipping through them. They weren’t standard playing cards, that was for sure. He felt his cock throbbing as he stared at some of them, feeling it bobbing up and down.
There were still suits for the different cards, but rather than being Hearts, Clubs, Spades, and Diamonds, they were Fetish, Species, Pleasure, and Control. The first was filled with different kinds of kinks, running all the way from vanilla all the way up to a picture that looked like it could have been drawn from a hentai magazine from hell, what with all the parasites and other things on it. Species had different anthro art on them, running from rodents down at the bottom to dragons and other mythologicals at the top. Pleasure? That was numbers, but with different amounts of droplets. Control…that was the weird one, only seeming to have numbers, and those in very plain text.
“What is all this?”
“The Deck of the Debauched,” the dragon said. “A little artifact I came up with a while back, after a friend asked me to do my version of their idea.”
“What the hell –”
“Doesn’t matter. The main thing is, this game will be a game of…power. I’ll be the dealer and moderator, as well as the story-teller. Consider it like a tabletop game, and I’m the dealer and dungeon master. I’ll deal out the cards, explain the rules, and you just have to win.”
“…What happens if I win?”
“Well, that’s the thing. You get a choice. The winner of the game gets to either boost all the transformations that have already happened, or they can cancel them out. This little game will let you see your friends the way that you want to see them, and at the end, you’ll have to decide if you want them to stay that way.”
Ari looked down at the cards again, hardly believing what he was hearing. This sounded like something out of a fantasy novel or something like that, not something that was really real. It felt like a game, like…
Like a fantasy that was coming to life.
Then again, he’s already proven he’s got something. There’s no way that a normal person could have done what he did.
He had to remember that, and he had to keep his eyes open, see what would happen next. If he stopped paying attention, then it might go wrong. And if Drac was being honest with him…
Looking at the deck again, he imagined what might happen. He could…he could turn them the way that he wanted them to be. He could make them want him, make them feel the things that he felt. He could do just about anything with this deck, and all that he had to do was play the game. If he won, then…then he would…
He would have his dream.
He clenched his fingers all the tighter around the deck, looking back at the black dragon.
“How do you play?”
“Pretty easily, but first, let’s bring the others back in, that way we don’t have to do this twice. Just make sure that you look at me when it’s time for you to play, okay?”
Ari nodded.
“That’s a good man.”
He wasn’t sure if that was a compliment, but Ari put it out of his mind as the dragon waved his hand at Cody and Garrick. They spent a little bit of time getting back to a proper posture, sitting up the way that they had been, only to blink and look around a bit.
“Uh, sorry. Did we space out?” Cody asked.
“Hmm. I haven’t felt like that in a while,” Garrick said. “Only the last time that I was getting into character. Something like going blank…”
“Well, before we get into anything serious between the three of you, I believe it’s time for you to take a look at the deck. Ari?”
He jumped, slowly handing over the Deck of the Debauched. He half-expected Garrick – who was the one that took it – to throw it into the air in disgust. If he didn’t, then surely Cody, with all the nerd-jock cred that he had, would do the same. Instead, both guys looked at it, then laughed.
“Oh, fuck, that’s just weird,” Cody said.
“Well, it is…artful, if a little strange,” Garrick said. “What is it?”
“It’s the card game that we’re going to be playing tonight,” the dragon said, taking the deck back. “Consider it an ice-breaker. It’ll be a way for you guys to have fun, see what stuff you like, and see how you fit with each other.”
“Yeah…this is gonna get ugly, isn’t it?” Cody asked, looking at Garrick.
Ari could imagine. If it was something that they played against each other, then it was going to be a pain and a half to get those two to do anything to help themselves. Then again, that was probably what Drac was planning on.
The dragon started to shuffle the deck, then pulled out four cards.
“This is how it works,” he said, flipping the first one over. “There’s four suits. The first is Fetish. In this case, a relatively low-ranking one, Vanilla. Standard, really. Doggy-style, Missionary, that sort of stuff. The sort of thing that a lot of shy people do with the lights off.”
That got a chuckle, even from Ari.
“This ranges from that, all the way up to the really extreme things. The more of a certain Fetish you have, or an array of them that matches up, the more that you can get out of someone else. Think of it as asking a favor, except that the other person is very happy to give it to you.”
The dragon flipped over another card, this one showing an otter anthro on it.
“Then we have Species. With this suit, you’re building up what you want your opponent to look like. At least, in fantasy. What kind of creature do you think they’d look best as? What sort of things could you get them to do if they were a different species?”
The more that Drac talked, the more that Ari realized that he was the one the information was meant for. The other guys were nodding, but not taking it particularly seriously. Not even Cody, who would usually be all over this type of game.
“The more of a specific species you play, the more that your opponent changes. Change them all the way, and they’ll have to deal with a new way of thinking as well as a new body.”
“Hmmm, interesting. And the next?”
The dragon flipped over a card that was all but a Jackson Pollock painting when it came to all the ooze on it. It had an Ace on it, though, which made a little bit of sense. Somewhat.
“Pleasure is next. This controls just how much the other person is enjoying what’s happening to them. The more pleasure that’s played, the less the person on the other side wants to fight what’s happening to them. It’s kind of a seduction card, making sure that they’re eager to see what happens next.”
Ari was starting to see how the different suits worked. The more of a specific thing you played, the more that the other person changed in that way. But the more that it was played against you, the harder it could be to resist. Someone playing different kinks against you would mean that you started thinking with those kinks in mind, and might change your strategy in how you played against your opponent. Different species? Slower build, but it would push different instincts into your head. Pleasure? You started to think that you wanted this, that you enjoyed it.
And that just left –
“And here we have Control.”
The dragon flipped over the rather bleak card, the one that was black in the background with a number in the center. In this case, the number was ‘8’, and it was a bright green against the black background, and seemed to pulse against the table.
“Control is similar to pleasure, except that it doesn’t make you like it. It just makes you do it. The more control you play, the more that you can take what someone else hits you with, and then turn it around. For example, a person could play an all-control hand, and because of that, they could control what the person hitting them with all the other suits did to them next, or ordered for the more submissive fetishes. For that matter, play a high-enough Control hand, and you could make them target someone else with what they built up.”
“What’s to stop Control from winning all the time, then?” Ari asked.
“Glad you asked,” the dragon said, putting the card back in the deck. “Control works as a way of temporarily taking charge. However, you don’t actually cause much change with it. And you don’t win until you cause two complete changes. That can be a complete installation of Fetish, or a complete species change, or the build-up of so much Pleasure that a person is willing to submit, or enough Control that they have to. Control is a bit overpowered in some ways, all things considered, but it isn’t as much as you think. You still have to get the other stuff in there, and if you don’t…well, you’re just wasting your time while they build up your changes.”
Ari stored that little tidbit of information away. He doubted that he’d be able to get that far in the game, even with Drac’s help, but if he did, he needed to know how the game was played. It seemed like it was simple enough, though. He waved his hand for attention, just to get some clarifications, and the black dragon nodded at him.
“So, phases?”
“Deal seven, discard, draw, declare, discard, draw, ‘attack.’ Repeat.”
So, they got their hand, they did an initial discard, picked who they were using their cards on for that round, and then did another discard-draw. That seemed to be straightforward enough.
“We’ll start with Cody, then whoever he attacks, and go from there,” Drac said, shuffling the cards again. “Any objections?”
With the various iterations of ‘nope’ going around the table, the dragon smiled. Giving the cards one last shake, he started dealing out the first seven to Cody, who picked them up. The shaggy guy looked them over for a moment, glanced at Garrick, and then discarded three of the cards in his hand. Drac took them and shuffled them back in the deck.
“Alright, and who are you attacking?”
“Garrick, of course.”
“Of course you are,” the actor muttered, rubbing his forehead.
“Alright, then we’re dealing him in.”
The black dragon dealt seven more cards to Garrick. Ari supposed that the Pleasure and Control cards could be used in defense, thus why everyone got a hand when they were being attacked. It was interesting, too, seeing how the game worked. It was decently fair, now that he thought about it.
“And how many cards for you, Cody?”
“...Two more,” he said.
Discard, deal.
“And now, let’s see what happens next…”
