#13 of A Night She Couldn't Resist

Thank you for reading! It's shorter as I initially wrote this when I was less experienced. 'All They Knew' is my most recent work.

There will still be two extra scenes posted.

Brooke has never been happier. She recently committed to her first genuine relationship while in her teen years, but once her boyfriend brings home a new pokémon-- a rather dominant midnight lycanroc that takes a certain liking to Brooke upon first sight, it quickly becomes a risky situation she has to make quick and constant decisions on.

Brooke opened her eyes. She must have fallen asleep after that session, as had Vix. He was still on top of her with his upper body splayed over her hip.

She grabbed her phone to check the time and took a relieved breath after seeing she still had two hours. "Vix…" she whispered and tapped his shoulder, watching him awaken.

She dressed and opened the window after he got off her, pulled her skirt up, adjusted her clothing, and straightened the blanket on the bed. Afterward, she headed into the living room with Vix trailing behind her.

She let Luma out her pokéball and woke Pyro from his catnap, who eyed her with a questionable expression that she didn't notice. "Hungry?" She grinned and went to open a few cabinets in the kitchen. Parker was always moving the bag around, so it took her a minute to locate it.

"Here it is." Brooke grabbed the Chow and poured it into three bowls. She had an appetite after using so much energy earlier but would save it for later.

Luma finished her bowl last since she took small bites and chewed slowly. She licked her lips, turned around—and nearly bumped into Pyro.

He had been watching her eat and sat in front of her with full eyes.

Luma looked up at him with a nervous gaze and a forepaw raised, and Pyro gave her cheek a gentle nudge.

He walked back into the living room afterward, grinning while glancing back.

"Heh, he likes you choke (a lot), Luma. Try playing hard to get." Brooke leaned and rubbed her head.

Luma looked up at Brooke, then at Pyro, who groomed himself by the couch.

In two more hours, around 3 p.m., Parker returned. Since he didn't have his key, he had to knock on the door and wait for Brooke to open it.

She didn't leave him waiting for long and hugged him tightly upon opening the door.

Parker returned it and rubbed her back. "Missed me? Look stunning, by the way."

"Don't I always?" Brooke giggled and pulled him inside. "Everyone's fed."

"Are you? We could order something?"

"I'll eat at work. You should sit. You were out all day—oh, and here." She handed him back the house key.

"Thanks, Brookey. You're a huge help."

"Best girlfriend. Want water, maybe a drink?"

She stayed for another fifteen minutes, snuggled up to Parker on the couch and casually chatting the time away with a beer.

Brooke loved him a lot. The relationship between her and Vix wasn't a passionate one, and she'd never fall in love with him.

Was any of it worth it? Brooke could say no.

Would she ever fall into Vix's lust again? Brooke wanted to say no.

It was a work in progress, although that deviant furry thing had shown his true colors earlier.

She closed Parker's door and stepped onto the pavement spotted with rain and small puddles while holding Luma, looking up at a dim sky nearing evening. "You wanna get a malasada? I'll get you two so you'll have one for later. You'll be home alone tonight."

"Vul!" Luma shrilled and shot Brooke a look meaning nothing but a definite yes.

"Awe, you spokee!" She grinned and couldn't help but squeeze her little body, and they did just that.

When they arrived, the store wasn't as packed as it usually was during the afternoon. They only had to wait behind two people.

"I'll grab us some sushi while on my shift, then we can have a late-night snack when I'm back. How's that sound?" she asked Luma while they stood in line.

Luma swished her tail and looked up at Brooke with a grin.

Brooke ordered two malasadas at the counter when they were next, and they were on their way afterward. Brooke's stomach rumbled, but she ignored it. She could have bought a malasada for herself too but held out for sushi. It had been too long.

"Maybe I'll take you to Hau'oli next week. I'll have to set it up with Parker." She watched Luma chew her snack while comfy in her hold.

Luma took another nibble, puckering up from its bitterness.

When they arrived, Brooke took her up to her room and set her on the bed. She washed, turned off the light, took off her skirt, and closed the curtains before lying in bed on her back. She placed Luma atop her stomach and ran her fingers down her back while Luma rested her chin on her paws.

Luma yawned too and bared her little fangs in the process, wearing tired eyes. She stretched and sprawled out, splaying her hind legs over Brooke's stomach.

Brooke took a deep breath and crossed her arms over Luma. What tomorrow held, she wasn't sure. Lingering guilt sat in her chest from her days spent with Vix.

She wouldn't cheat with another human on Parker, but this couldn't be any better. Something about the fact shamefully increased the pleasure received for her, but she wanted to rid of the tendencies that kept resurfacing. She wanted to erase them from memory and genuinely start over, but they seemed to be ingrained as if a permanent part of her.

Regret wasn't the proper term. Brooke didn't necessarily regret her past. Sex was fun, and she'd explored more than enough to where she didn't feel she needed or wanted to anymore—except she hadn't tried with pokémon. Maybe she should have so she wouldn't feel like the fact was missing.

She wondered if this would still be a recurring problem if there was more to her life. Her parents may have moved here to retire, but Brooke's life was only beginning. She couldn't see herself spending it here and finding desperate ways to make things interesting.

Regardless, change wasn't a factor as long as Vix was in the picture. She could start forming that fortitude the moment he was gone. She would miss it at first, admittedly, but Brooke could rebuild once and for all.

She moved her arm and rested her palm on Luma's back, staring into darkness while her eyes adjusted to the dim lighting. She'd rest with Luma for a while, but Brooke couldn't fall asleep and risk being late for her shift.
