[Last time on Buddy Rumble]

Skylar, a young college student, woke up one day to a very interesting adventure when his friend Max introduced him to the world of Buddies. Wanting to try his luck, Skylar went for the gacha machines that give out random Buddies.

Neither he nor Max could believe the wolf’s luck when he landed possibly one of the most legendary and enigmatic units: Platinum Wolf, a literally one of a kind Buddy.

From there, things just began spiraling into a chaotic typhoon that Skylar can’t catch a break from, to the point that he now finds himself taking part in his very first Buddy Rumble battle! Against his old bully, no less!

Will Skylar’s inexperience cause him to repeat the cycle of shame or will Platinum Wolf’s power finally break his Handler from it?

And what sort of adventures await those two going forward?

The whole stadium was shocked into silence from the very first display of power and so soon in the match, with Mucho slammed against the farthest side of the arena with a single, powerful strike from Platinum Wolf. The crocodile Buddy picked himself up and was shooting a nasty glare at the wolf Buddy. “You are dead meat.”

“Says the idiot groveling on the ground.” Platinum Wolf shot back in his cold tone, then turned to address Skylar. “Look alive, pup. We’re just getting started.”

“Yeah, I know tha- LOOK OUT!” Skylar called out just as he saw Mucho charging at Platinum, just in time for the wolf Buddy to dodge what could have been a dangerous chomp from the croc aimed right at his neck. “Now who’s the one who should pay attention?”

“Oh stuff it.” Platinum grumbled as he delivered a powerful kick to Mucho’s head, but the croc barely flinched.

“That one barely tickled!” Mucho growled smugly as he grabbed Platinum’s leg firmly, right before spinning him around in the air. “Let’s see how you like it!” Then tossed him with all his might toward the nearest boulder.

“Jump!” Skylar instructed, but Platinum knew the plan as he had a similar idea. The wolf Buddy flipped his body around until his feet landed on the boulder, bouncing right off of it with all his strength right back towards the croc, landing a swift, flaming kick to Mucho’s face that sent the croc flying. “YES!”

“Hmm… not bad.” Platinum Wolf said under his breath, slightly impressed by Skylar’s quick thinking. But only slightly.

“Woah… is this really their first match together?” Marissa, the human clerk at the ‘Atelier’ one of the big Buddy shops in the city, asked in shock as she watched Skylar and Platinum Wolf in their battle, both of them being quite in sync despite being at each other’s throats just an hour ago.

“Trust me, I’m as shocked as you are!” Max, Skylar’s human friend, was just as shocked, but excitement was also bubbling inside of him as he and Bonbon, his own Buddy, watched.

“The hell are you doing Mucho? BEAT THAT PIPSQUEAK DOWN!” Dane, the large bull bully, yelled out at his Buddy, El Mucho.

The crocodile Buddy in luchador outfit was slowly lifting himself off the ground, his body covered in bruises and burn marks from Platinum Wolf’s attacks. He spun around to glare at his Handler. “The fuck do you think I’m doing!? Cut me some fucking slack here!”

“Shouldn’t you be focusing on the battle, punk?” Platinum Wolf was right behind him. Mucho barely turned around when he was bombarded by strong, flaming attacks from the wolf, each strike’s impact hitting like a wrecking ball.

“Dammit dammit dammit! Do something!” Dane yelled out at his Buddy, but Mucho was not getting a chance to strike back.

“What’s the matter, Dane?” Skylar called out mockingly. “Weren’t you supposed to beat me down?” He barely stifled a laugh as he saw the bull’s face almost glowing red and steam jetting out of his ears and nostrils.

“I’d usually say ‘Don’t get cocky’, but I’ll let it slide this time.” Platinum Wolf said with a disappointed sigh, Mucho on his knees, barely conscious as the wolf kept him up by his throat. “For a big guy, you are such a weakling. This is beyond disappointing.”

“N-Not… done… yet!” Mucho growled deeply as his body began rumbling, veins visibly pulsing across his muscles as the croc’s body grew bigger and bigger, bloating with muscles and power with each heartbeat until he was almost 9-plus inches tall, his neck and shoulders so thick his head almost disappeared into them. “Think you can win now?”

Despite such a display of power, Platinum Wolf was not phased. “You done?” That clearly pissed Mucho off, pulling back a massive fist before sending it thrusting towards Platinum, the wolf simply dodged to the side, right before countering with a punch of his own, right to Mucho’s abdomen, his fist digging right into the croc’s body. “Weak.” But when he began pulling away… his hand refused to budge. “What the!?” He tried yanking his fist out, but Mucho’s abs were flexed so hard that they trapped his hand.

“Gotchu now, asshole!” Mucho’s fist made a very hard impact with Platinum Wolf’s body, sending him flying through multiple rock formations and boulders before slamming into a bigger boulder at the end. “HAH! Now you know that feels!”

“PLATINUM!” Skylar called out worriedly.

The dust eventually cleared, revealing Platinum Wolf’s slightly scratched form. The wolf Buddy was silent for a bit, noticing a small tear in his suit… *FWOOSH* his whole body caught on fire, his scarred eye, hands, arm, and cracks all releasing wisps of his white flame as intense heat emitted from him. “You’ll pay for that. Dearly.” He growled menacingly, the rage and hate he emanated made Mucho flinch.

He charged at the bulked up croc, hands engulfed in flames as he prepared a powerful attack. Mucho took a defensive stance, bracing himself for an attack, his tail swaying behind him until… “LEFT! Dodge left!” Skylar called out in the nick of time, allowing Platinum to dodge just as Mucho’s tail shot out like a spear, if Skylar didn’t notice and call it out, Platinum’s working eye would have been lost too.

“Oh, that’s it!” Now Platinum was angry, pulling back his metallic arm and focusing all of his power into it. Mucho tried to step back, but a swift foot from Platinum stomping on his own kept him in place. “Now you know how it feels.” he repeated the croc’s words at him menacingly, right before his arm exploded with flames, jet-boosting his fist forward for the most powerful attack he could muster, the force almost punching right through Mucho’s abdomen, then sending him rocketing through the air, out of the arena and lodged right into one of the hard walls behind the audience.

[Ring out!]

The announcement came and everyone cheered loudly, Max and Marissa the loudest of them all, meanwhile Skylar was stunned to silence. “I… won?”

Platinum Wolf jumped onto his podium, looking up at his shocked Handler. “WE won. You didn’t do shit, as far as I recall.” He crossed his arms and looked away. “But… you did good in the end. If you didn’t notice Mucho’s tactics, I would’ve lost my remaining good eye.”

Hearing that, Skylar was on the verge of tears, quickly grabbing Platinum and nuzzling him against his face. “You’re the best, bud~”

“H-Hey, watch it! Put me down!” Platinum demanded, but Skylar wasn’t listening, so he just let his Handler have his moment. Eventually, Skylar put him down on the podium… and handed him back his coat. “Hmm?”

“Here you go, still clean and trim.” The bigger wolf said with a wide smile.

Soon enough, Max and Bonbon came along, the human grabbing Skylar in a tight hug while Bonbon did the same to Platinum. “You guys were amazing! Can’t believe this was your first battle!”

“I was sweating a bit, not gonna lie.” Skylar chuckled nervously. Then noticed Dane coming closer. “What do you want now?”

“That was beginner’s luck. Nothing more!” The bull snorted before stomping away.

“Someone’s a sore loser.” Bonbon mocked as he did a raspberry in the bull’s direction.

“Guess his fragile man-pride got a booboo.” Max teased as well.

“Oh, grow up, you two.” Skylar admonished them both, but he was very tempted to join in.

Platinum Wolf just rolled his eyes. “Toddlers.” But after that little exchange, it was back to celebrating. Once they stepped out of the battle area, Skylar was bombarded with questions, praise, and even some requests to be added on the Buddy Link, a function of the Buddy app that is basically the ‘friend list’. It was quite overwhelming, but the wolf can’t deny that he enjoyed the attention.

Later that night, Skylar was in the hottub of his apartment, sighing with relief as he let the hot water melt away all the day’s fatigues. “Man, I needed this~” He slowly sank down deeper until only his head was above the water.

“Yes, I can get used to this.” Platinum Wolf said as he was relaxing in his own, floating bowl of hot water, kind of a miniature hot tub just for him.

After the battle with Dane, Skylar found himself getting roped into other battles almost back to back, Max and Bonbon just kept egging him on to accept. It was tiring, but it was quite the learning experience as he learned about how Buddies battle, their fighting styles, different kinds of gear they used, and their abilities. He learned quite a lot about Buddies in one day and he needed the break. Platinum Wolf sure wasn’t complaining about it since Buddies love to battle.

But then a thought popped into Skylar’s head. “By the way, what’s your name, actually?” He suddenly asked, now focusing on his Buddy. “‘Platinum Wolf’ isn’t your actual name, is it?” He did remember that many Handlers gave their Buddies names that are different from what the AI announcer showed.

“Nope, that’s the name of my ‘unit’. My name can be anything my Handler desires.” Platinum explained, sinking down into his miniature tub until his head, shoulders, and knees were above the water surface.

Skylar fell silent for a bit, deep in thought for a few minutes. Then his ears perked up. “Lupus.”

“Pardon?”

“How about ‘Lupus’, for your name?”

The wolf Buddy fell silent as well, thinking about it for a couple of seconds. “Hmm. The star constellation of the wolf. I like it.”

“Then it’s settled! Your name is Lupus from now on!” Skylar held out his hand to his Buddy. “A pleasure to meet you, Lupus.”

Platinum Wolf, now named Lupus, let out an amused scoff as he accepted the handshake, although it was just him holding onto Skylar’s finger. “Looking forward to working with you, punk.”

The two shared a chuckled before enjoying the rest of their bath. Followed by a change of clothes before hopping into bed, with Lupus laying fully on the pillow. “Hey, Lupus…?”

“Hmm?”

“I’m really happy we met. Haven’t had this kind of excitement for a very long time. So thank you~”

Lupus found himself blushing and turning away from his Handler. “Whatever, weeb.” That only made Skylar chuckle. Soon enough the two finally fell asleep, finally relaxing after a hard and exciting day.

The next day, Max was busy setting up the cafe for the morning rush with the help of Bonbon who was carrying stacks of paper cups and putting them in the cup dispensers beside the coffee grinder and making machines. “I’m really glad Skylar is into Buddies now. We have more things to talk about now.”

“Max, don’t act like you two don’t talk much. He’ll, just last week, I had to sit between you two while you were both geeking out on some anime or movie for almost two hours straight.” Bonbon huffed as he picked up another stack of cups.

“I know, but it feels like we have more of a connection now!”

“Dude. You sound like a lovestruck highschool girl.” Bonbon put the new stack in place. “The creepy kind.”

“Oh, hush you.” Max chuckled as a light blush colored his cheeks. He can’t deny that he did have a crush on his friend for a while, they did try being an item, but it was just awkward for both, and yet here he was, still holding on to those old feelings.

*ding-a-ling* “You are unbelievable!” Skylar yelled out quite angrily.

“Well, maybe you should’ve taken your new responsibilities seriously!” Lupus yelled back.

“Uh-oh, lover’s quarrel again.” Bonbon giggled as he watched the two wolves coming closer. “What happened this time?”

“This little shit almost burned down my apartment!” Skylar pointed accusingly at Lupus.

Lupus just pointed back. “Well, you were snoring away and I was hungry! What am I supposed to do, starve to death?”

“You could have woken me up!”

“I tried! But all you did was wave me off and continue snoozing!”

“Dude! The frying pan is literally triple your size!” Skylar threw his hands up into the air in frustration. “I know your Buddies are pretty independent, but not like this!”

“It’s so we don’t have to rely on lousy bum-fucks like you!”

The two wolves just kept growling at each other, fangs bared and hackles raised. “Well, aren’t you two adorable~ Getting along so well~” Max said as he and Bonbon shared a giggle.

“Like hell we are!” Skylar and Lupus yelled out in perfect unison.

“Oh right, I’m glad you're here, Sky. You don’t have any classes, right?” Max asked, suddenly turning all business like.

“Nope. I told you, I’m taking a break from college this semester.”

“I hate to impose, but can you take care of Bonbon for the night? My dads will be out all evening and I have a project to work on with my group at uni, so we won’t be leaving until late at night. So Bonbon won’t have anyone to take care of him at that time.” Max asked, hands pressed together pleadingly. “Please?”

“No need for begging man, of course I’ll take care of him. Did it a few times in the past, didn’t I?” Skylar accepted and assured his friend with a wide smile.

“Oh, thank you! You’re a lifesaver~!” Max reached over the counter and pulled Skylar in for a firm hug. “How about some of your favorite coffee blends? On the house of course, just don’t tell my dads.” Max offered with a small wink as he was already preparing the coffee.

“Yay! Sleepover!” Bonbon cheered as he jumped onto Skylar’s shoulder.

“Glad to have you, Bon.” Skylar petted the bunny Buddy’s head with a finger.

“Oh right, you might need to go to the Atelier to get some supplies, mostly for Platinum there.” Max suggested as he placed the cup of coffee in front of Skylar.

“Lupus. His name’s Lupus now.” Skylar corrected, taking a sip of his coffee.

“Oh great! You finally gave him a name! Did you register it?” Max asked, but resisted the urge to facepalm when he saw the bewildered face on Skylar. “You have to change his name on the Buddy app so it becomes official. In fact, I think it’s about time you got into the app. You’ll need it.” Just then, another customer walked in, causing Max to step away from his friend for now.

While Max was busy Skylar did as told and got the app on his phone, it downloaded pretty quickly so he was able to get in quickly. Signing up was easy, since he already had a ‘license’ he just needed to enter its code into the app and he was in. There it was, his name, rank, number of wins/losses, and of course, the number of Buddies he has in his care (only 1 at the time) and what kind of units they were.

“BPs?” He noticed a number that said ‘Buddy Points’ or BPs for short, right now he only had 500. “What’s that for?”

“That’s basically a currency used to only buy Buddy related stuff.” Bonbon said as he leaned on Skylar’s hand that was holding the coffee cup. “Gears, clothes, food, utilities, anything that Buddies can use you can buy here. Heck you can buy new Buddies through this app. AND! You can even exchange BPs for real money.”

Skylar’s ears went straight up in attention at the last part. “Wait, really!?”

“Yeah, why do you think Handlers who actively battle tend to be rich as fuck?”

“Huh… I might need to get into that.”

“You should regardless. I’m not gonna be a mere companion Buddy.” Lupus said in a stern tone, he clearly wanted to battle more.

“Battle Junkie.” Skylar mumbled before taking a sip of his coffee. “Oh! There’s an online shop, too!” He spent most of his time looking through the various items in the app’s shop, including some of the Buddies on offer. “Oh damn, this is so cool! Didn’t know that there were so many sponsors and types of Buddies.”

“Oh yeah, we come in all shapes and sizes.” Lupus said as he hopped onto Skylar’s shoulder and sat down. “Now, how about you get some fucking food for me? Or do you want me to work the stove again?” Hearing that, Skylar instantly began looking through the food section of the Buddy shop.

Later that afternoon, Max dropped Bonbon off with some of his stuff, including his Buddy Box, and a bit later after Max left, Skylar’s order of Buddy food and other necessities that Max insisted he buys arrived as well. Skylar ended up tipping the delivery guy for such a speedy service.

“Let’s see here.. Got the food cans, flavor packets, some medicine, healthcheck starter kit, and a new set of clothes. Yep, all’s here!” Skylar was happy as he found everything he ordered was there. And it was all quite cheap AND he didn’t have to spend a penny. Well, not in real money at least. “But now, all my BPs are gone.” He slumped as he remembered that fact.

“Simple: You just go out there, do some battles, and you’ll get them right back, with interest if you’re good.” Bonbon explained from his Box sitting on one of Skylar’s empty shelves. The insides of it are decorated to look almost like a hut. Cozy, woodsy designs, and a small bed in the corner for him to sleep in.

“I’ll have to think a bit about that.” As Skylar was putting away the items he bought, he pulled out the health check starter kit. “Oh right, you didn’t have your health check this week, right Bon?”

“Well, Max is busy with college and his dads have the cafe to worry about. So, I didn’t have my health check for… quite a while.” Bonbon admitted with a sheepish smile and chuckle.

“Alright, then let’s do it now! Get it out of the way and all.” Skylar suggested as he began looking through Bonbon’s stuff to find his own health check and grooming essentials.

“Oh, hell yeah!” Bonbon seemed a bit too excited as he hopped off the shelf and raced over towards Skylar’s desk and jumping on it. “Oooohhh man, been aching for this, so bad!” He said more to himself as he was hurriedly taking off his clothes just as Skylar came over and took a seat on his desk’s chair.

“Hmph, good luck. Pretty sure you’re gonna end up pretty sick by the end of the night.” Lupus scoffed snarkily as he leaned on the file basket on the desk.

Skylar just glared at his Buddy. “For your information, this isn’t my first time. I’ve taken care of Bonbon plenty of times in the past, so I’m quite familiar with this part of taking care of a Buddy.”

“Oh yeah, you took very good care of me~” Bonbon said in a sultry, suggestive tone, with a hint of neediness as he kicked off his shorts, revealing his impressive manhood and bubble booty.

“Now hang on a minute!” Lupus came over looking quite upset all of a sudden. “I’m his Buddy, I should go first.”

“Uh, Lupus, no offense, but you’re pretty new to this part of the procedure. So how about you just sit and wa-” Skylar tried to talk him out of it.

“Fuck. That!” Lupus was already half undressed at this point, his clothes soon became a tiny pile on the desk beside Bonbon’s before he marched over, as naked as the day he met Skylar. “You keep saying that you're my Handler. So by law, you should give me priority.”

“What law?” Both Skylar and Bonbon asked, but Lupus just remained silent and looked away nervously. Skylar then let out a sigh. “Alright, fine. Just don’t say I didn’t warn you.” He reached for the starter kit he bought and pulled out a small device that was shaped like a lightbulb, but with a flat surface on one side with a small screen and a metallic rod on the other side.

“Uh, how is that gonna get into my mouth?” Lupus asked as he saw the tiny metal rod, almost as wide as his own head.

“Oh honey, that doesn’t go into your oral hole, hehe~” Bonbon let out his impish giggle. Just as Lupus watched Skylar applying some sort of lube all around the rod.

By the time Lupus realized what the bunny meant, Skylar already grabbed and lifted him up. “Whoah whoah whoah! Uh, y-you know what, I-i-I’m feeling quite healthy! So no need for this! L-L-L-Let’s just skip to dinner and TV!” He stammered over his words as he began struggling, trying to get out of Skylar’s grip.

“Too late, dude. Now hold still.” Skylar flipped him around swiftly until Lupus’ ass was presented to him.

“H-Hey! HEY! You touch me with that thing and I’ll- YIPE!” He couldn’t finish his threat as he felt the cold feel of metal and lube against his ass, clenching his cheeks in an attempt to keep that metallic intruder out.

“Dude! Stop squirming!” Skylar reprimanded him as he pushed in a bit more firmly, the lube allowing the rod to slip between the flexed cheeks, but Lupus just began struggling even more. And that clearly pissed off Skylar. “I said: Stop. Moving!” He gave the device a hard shove!

*SCHLOP* “HAAWWOOO!!” Lupus’s head shot up to the ceiling as he let out a pathetic, high-pitched howl as that metal rod forced itself into his ass. “Oh! Ooohhh! Awwoohhh…” The sounds that came out of him were pretty weak. His whole body seized up from the shock, twitching occasionally.

“That’s it, now be still.” Skylar then pushed the rest of the rod in.

“Ooowwwwooohhh…” Another, much weaker howl escaped Lupus as he felt that rod slipping further in, his abdomen visibly bulging out once it was fully in. “Oohh…” His body suddenly went limp from being overwhelmed from the mix of sensations. Stinging, hot tears gathering at the corners of his eyes as he made what could only be described as an ‘ahegao’ face.

“Almost done.” Skylar pressed a small button on the side of the device, numbers appearing on the screen and they began counting… *ding* the final number that appeared was green. “There! Normal temperature, a small rise, but not by much. Now, let me just…” He wiggled the device a bit…

“D-Don’t… Nooooo~!” One final howl escaped Lupus, toes spreading wide apart, his whole body twitching as his cock released rope after rope of his seed, splattering on the desk and Skylar’s finger.

“Whoops, must’ve hit something inside. My bad.” Skylar apologized as he pulled the rod out and slowly set the wolf Buddy down, Lupus remaining on all fours, not saying a word as his whole body shivered. “See? That wasn’t so bad. Now, lets do the re-” *FWOOSH-BOOM* A bullet of flames shot past his face, missing him by inches, and hitting the wall behind him. “Whoa! The fuck was that for!?”

Lupus was sitting up, panting for breath, face almost completely red in anger and embarrassment as the accumulated tears threatened to fall, his whole body shivering with one hand covering his crotch, and the other smoking after releasing that burst of flame. “You… nasty… motherfucking bastard!” He slowly got up, standing on shaky legs with his tail between them to cover his crotch further. “Bet you enjoyed that, didn’t you? Watching me squirm and beg under your mighty arms?”

“Whoah, whoa, the hell is this coming from?” Skylar held up his hands defensively. “Bro, that’s just a normal step during checkup.”

“SHUT UP! I don’t wanna hear it!” Lupus pointed angrily at his Handler. “You can just go ahead and die in a fucking DITCH!” When he said ‘ditch’ his voice cracked a bit, right before rushing away and hiding behind the desk’s book stand, not even picking up his clothes.

Skylar just huffed and shook his head. “I did warn him.” But he couldn’t hide the look of guilt from his face.

“Eh, don’t worry about it.” Bonbon came over to Skylar, patting him on the hand assuringly. “You were just doing a normal, medical procedure. Not your fault he’s too much of a wuss.” He put a bit of emphasis on the last word, looking in the direction that Lupus went. But then he turned back to Skylar, face almost glowing with excitement. “Now me! Please! My turn!” He pleaded as he bounced around.

“Haha, calm down, you’re the only other Buddy here.” Skylar laughed at the bunny’s antics, removing the used rod from the device and putting a new one in its place after tossing the used one into the bin.

“Come on, hurry~” Bonbon was already on all fours, gleefully presenting his ass to the Handler, giving it a few, inviting shakes for extra measure.

“Alright, hold still please.” Skylar gave Bonbon’s eager pucker a couple of prods with the rod… then slowly pushed in.

“Oooohhhh, yyeeesss~!” Bonbon moaned out loudly, absolute pleasure written all over his face as his eyes rolled back. “I needed this sooooo baaaaad~” He slurred a bit on his words, almost as if drunk, as he felt the rod sliding deeper and deeper, his abdomen bulging out as it was fully in.

“Dude, I said hold still.” Skylar gently held onto Bonbon’s abdomen with a finger and thumb as the bunny was squirming a bit too much. A second later, Bonbon’s temperature came back green. “Alright, all good.” He pulled the device out and tossed the new rod as well.

“S-Sky… please…” Bonbon laid down and flipped onto his back, legs lifted and spread wide, exposing himself to the wolf Handler.

Skylar knew what the bunny Buddy wanted. “I know bud, just bear with me until we finish everything, alright?” Bonbon was almost on the verge of crying, eyes wide and teary. “I promise, just let’s finish up here, okay?” He assured him with a small rub to the bunny’s face with a thumb.

The next procedure was checking the insides of both ears and the mouth, which Skylar did using a very thin, almost pen-like apparatus that projected a holographic screen with the proper readings, no abnormalities so everything came out green. Then came a small scanner that Skylar slowly moved around Bonbon’s body to make sure that there weren’t any abnormal skin, scale, feather, or fur conditions; eventually those readings also came back green. “There! All done!”

“Finally!” Bonbon screamed out in relief. “Now… my treat, please~”

“Okay, okay, you earned it.” Skylar pulled out a small bag with the Burrows Cafe logo on it. This was Bonbon’s essentials bag, inside was his very own health check apparatus that Skylar didn’t need for now among other things. He pulled out a roll of brown leather and placed it on the side for later, then another one that was very dark brown, almost black in color. “Here we are…”

He had a small blush on his face, his heart would always race during this part of the caretaking procedure, despite having done it multiple times with Bonbon. When he unrolled the blackish leather, it’s revealed that it was a tool roll with a number of different, handheld devices strapped to the inside of it. One device was almost as small as a flash drive but with a much slimmer frame and a slider on the side, as well as a phallic, rubber tip.

Bonbon was already laying on his back again, legs lifted and spread, ready for the ‘fun part’. He bit his lower lip as he felt the rubber tip against his hole, once Skylar pushed up against the slider, the tip moved up, followed by a thick rod made of the same rubber, pushing deep into and against Bonbon’s insides. “Oooohhhh, yeesss~!” The bunny Buddy moaned out as he pinched and rubbed his nipples, eyes and head rolling back. “Feels so good~!”
