Chapter 3: Police Encounters

“So…let me get this straight. You're stuck in California? How does someone like you get stuck anywhere? Aren't you a god?"

The wolf on my phone shakes his head a few times.

“Look, I could come up there, but I'd start breaking things if I moved around too much right now."

“Like what?"

“Mountains, at least. Probably more."

“…"

“Besides, Larry's down here, and I need to make sure that he's not in too much trouble for housing me."'

“Yeah, I guess. Just, uh, anything that I need to worry about up here?"

“Not yet. All the other big guys are taking their time."

“…Taking their time?"

“You'll figure it out. Probably when Drakina gets up there."

I shiver at that thought. The last thing I need is that purple shemale walking around the place, conquering everything in sight. God, the problems that would cause.

Studley is chuckling on the phone, shaking his head a few times.

“Thought that'd get you. Anyway, I've got some things to take care of. And an ice queen to breed…"

“Studley, don't –"

“See you later!"

The phone goes dead, and I'm left staring at a screen that goes from blank to overwhelmed with messages. Groaning, I throw it across the room, watch it slide down the couch and disappear between the cushions, and start pacing around the living room.

It doesn't help that Draconicon and Cornelius are watching me the whole time, the dragon and rabbit looking at each other and then at me, and then back at each other. I never thought that I'd actually get judged by the things that I made, but then again, I never thought that they'd be sitting in my living room, either.

I walk over to the door of my apartment, leaning against it as I take a few deep breaths. There's gotta be something to figure out, if I can just slow it down enough.

Okay…so Studley is out and about. Let's get around that terrifying thought. What does that mean…what does that mean for the rest of the world, when he says that the big guys are waiting for a bit?

Nothing good, that's for sure. It means that some of the 'characters' out there are aware of what's happening, that they are being dragged out of their home dimension, and that they have some sort of choice. Considering the 'good' nature of some of these characters, I'm guessing that means that we'll be lacking a good number of fictional gods on the good-guy side unless they pull their heads out of their asses, and not so much lacking on the evil ones.

I think to the Dragonlance series, and shudder. I don't need to see Takhisis walking around the world at the moment. I really, really don't.

Still, it seems like it's coming in waves. Draconicon and Idesin showed up earlier, me and Mick's most powerfully identifiable characters. That probably means that the ones most resonant to us are showing up first, followed by those that aren't quite so signature. That gives us something…I hope.

THUNK!

I look over my shoulder as a top hat hits the floor, and shake my head as Cornelius picks it back up.

“Nemean causing trouble?"

“Heh, he's trying to. There's no getting out of there without my help, of course – though he probably doesn't know that – so he's probably just thrashing around." The rabbit shrugs. “HAT will take care of it."

Draconicon chuckles.

“What if he activates GOD?"

“Leeeeeet's not think about that."

I agree. I barely came up with it as a concept of an alternative operating system for the rabbit's teleporting headgear. The last thing I need is to find out what it actually became when I stopped taking a direct hand in it.

I walk away from the door, and sit on the couch between the robed dragon and the speedo-wearing rabbit. The former looms over me, and the latter is somewhat mockingly taller due to those ears of his. I push them down a bit, idly fiddling with one like a TV antenna while I think.

Best thing to do is probably get Nemean up to Taiko. Of course, that'd mean finding out where he actually lives; the guy's a good friend, but it's not like we ever exchanged addresses outside of what city we live in. I can probably find him, particularly considering I have one of his created characters along, but that's only if he's still alive. If Nor found him, that's not going to be a problem, as the hero's a pretty good mule, but if one of the others found him first…

I open up my phone again, sending a quick message.

Draconicon: Taiko, you there?

Taiko: Are we talking me, or, uh…

Taiko: Taiko?

Draconicon: That answers that question.

Taiko: You too?

Draconicon: Let's just say I'll be surprised if you're not buried in melons by the end of the day.

Taiko: I'd laugh, but…

Taiko: Wait…it's happening to you, too?

Draconicon: Yeah, gonna have to change my username before long, at this rate.

Draconicon: I also have Nemean down here.

Taiko: You – HOW?!

Draconicon: You tell me. But we've got him trapped in Cornelius's hat. Just figuring out how to get him to you.

Taiko: …

Taiko: …

Draconicon: What?

Taiko: Figuring out how I'm going to keep him from killing me.

Draconicon: …Good point.

Taiko: I mean, after all, with all the stuff with Olag, and...yeah…

Draconicon: I can hold onto him for a bit, if you want.

Taiko: Please. I'm still getting over the whole melon TARDIS thing.

Draconicon: Not fair. You got a TARDIS.

Taiko: It doesn't work. And he's complaining about it a lot. And – oh god, there's another one.

Taiko: Now I have kitty Taiko and real Taiko.

Taiko: Why is it all adorable?!

Draconicon: Because that's how you made it. Heh…I'll check in with you later. Message me if you have any problems.

I put the phone down, shaking my head with a smile. At least he's getting something that's fun, something that's playful. I get an archmage and a rabbit that lives in a hat. And who knows what's coming –

Knock, knock.

“This is the police. We're looking for a Mr. Spencer Timm?"

…Shit.

Waving Draconicon and Cornelius out of the main room and into the bedroom, I walk over to the door and open it with as much of a smile as I can muster. Two police officers are on the other side, in full uniform, and one has his hand on a weapon. I don't like the look of this one bit, but try not to get defensive.

“Uh, hey, officers. Is there a problem?"

“You are Spencer Timm, then?"

“Yes?"

“And you live here?"

I nod at the questioning officer, hoping I'm not sweating as much as it feels like I am. They've both got a handful of inches on me, and considering that they've got guns and I don't, I'm not feeling confident about keeping them out of the apartment.

The one that's been talking the whole time looks at me with narrowed eyes, which makes his face look rather pinched. The other one seems to be smiling, almost like he's amused, though he still holds his gun. The one in front looks past me, staring at everything that can be seen from the front door.

Doesn't have a warrant, I'll bet, I think.

Eventually, he shakes his head.

“Can we come in?"

“I, uh, don't think so."

“Why not? Got something to hide?"

“My family taught me that you guys need a warrant. So, if you like, why don't you go back and get one?"

“We have probable cause."

“For what?"

“Hiding a fugitive."

“Uh…don't you need to be charged with something before you become a fugitive?"

The question makes them blink, and I can only think of my characters sitting in my room, hiding away. I just hope that Draconicon has used some sort of illusion spell or something, because neither of these cops are looking particularly happy with me.

The silence stretches on for a few more seconds, and then the one in back shakes his head.

“Come on, Jerry. He's not letting us in."

“You think that matters? You saw the tapes."

“Yeah, I saw them. Doesn't mean that they're here."

“Yeah, but it means he knows where they are."

Chasing after my characters, now. Probably because of the fight getting out of hand down at the theater, now that I think about it. If it was just Nemean's work, then we'd be fine, but after ripping up the concrete and everything…

Yeah. I'm in as much shit as they are.

The cops argue with each other, and I slowly start to shut the door. I manage to get it halfway closed before the more belligerent of the pair grabs it and forces it open again.

“Look, I know you're hiding someone here. I don't know what the hell those things are –"

“How do you miss what they are? I'd think they're pretty clearly a dragon and a rabbit."

I speak without thinking, and shake my head.

“Look…if you want to come in, get a warrant. Or, if you want to be jerks and give me reason to sue, then go ahead, force your way in. I'd love a chance to sue the hell out of you and move out of this crappy place."

The cops – or at least the one in front who's been making all the threats – glares at me, and almost seems ready to do just that. However, his partner eventually reaches out and grabs him by the shoulder, pulling him back.

“Why don't you go wait in the car…"

I'm almost surprised when that happens, and the second cop smiles at me.

“Sorry about that. He's new."

“Yeah…and yet, he's not the one that's been holding his gun this whole time."

“Yeah, well, there's a reason for that. I'm not worried about you, but I'm worried about some of the things that you were seen with. I mean…monsters, aren't they?"

“I wouldn't quite call them that."

“They're not human, that's for sure. And you saw what they could do. I mean, hell, look at your neck."

I remember that. The bruise is still there from Nemean trying to squeeze the life out of me, and it still aches to swallow. Which is why I don't. Instead, I shrug slightly.

“It could be worse."

“Yeah? How?"

“Considering what we've seen so far? Trust me, it could be a lot worse."

“…You know something, don't you?"

I do, but the cop is starting to get on my nerves. Not to mention freaking me out. He's smarter than the other one, being nicer. I shouldn't be talking to them right now, and probably should be getting in touch with a local lawyer so that I don't get in more trouble. I shake my head a few times, and start to close the door again.

The cop stops me one more time, and presses something into my hand.

“I'm just training the new guy today. I'm usually a detective. If you want to talk about this…call me."

“I'll think about it."

“That's all I ask."

This time, I finally manage to shut the door, and lean back against it as the cop walks away. I shake my head slowly, and turn the lock, bolting the door shut before heading down to the bedroom.

At first, I don't see anything. Then the bed shimmers, and one pillow turns into the rabbit, and one sheet turns into the dragon. I shake my head.

“I can't believe this…"

“I can," Draconicon says. “After all, we weren't exactly hiding everything that we were doing."

“I know, but still, this is getting out of hand. I mean…those were cops. Real cops. And I can't imagine that this is going to be the last time that they come looking around."

Particularly with the others that'll be showing up as time goes on. God, Drakina probably isn't going to be the worst of them. How much is the crime rate going to go up when Salla arrives? How many Craigslist ads are gonna hit the net when Saunak dances onto the scene? How many people are going to die when Kai Lee comes around with his explosive way of handling things?

I shiver just imagining it.

My phone is still exploding with messages, and I take it out. I see some from Mick out in Vermont, seeing several different pictures of him getting his dick sucked by the top-hat wearing otter, followed by the naked otter tormenting everyone else in the house, teasing them and flaunting his body. Several messages come after that, saying 'out of control, help' and various other things of a similar nature.

I flick through the other messages, seeing other friends that are likewise confused. A friend out east, visited by a wingless white dragon that has a lot of questions about the things he's gone through. A friend down south who's gotten a barefoot otter in his yard who's wondering what's going on. A message from a friend out in Singapore who's gotten an eyeless demon in his bedroom who is creating things out of words he's writing in thin air.

It's become worldwide. People will figure it out sooner or later, if they haven't already. Fiction is coming to life.

Shaking my head, I flop back on the bed, looking up at the ceiling. I take a deep breath, let it out, and slowly mutter.

“Who do you think is going to turn up next, Drac?"

“I have no idea. I got some hopes, but no idea."

“Cornelius?"

“Based on my travels through the multi-verse, and how Drac was describing how close he was to this one? I'd say either Saunak, Jina, or Olag stands a good chance of coming through next."

Two of those would be horrors, while one would be a pleasure. Saunak is a dancing freak with a hard-on for every man above eight inches, and Olag is a fighter that can rip half of the city in two. Jina…well, I have always wondered what it would be like to play host to her, considering how she treats her own home court…

I shake my head. Better to prepare for the worst. Fiction has taught me that much.

I sit up, shaking my head a few times, and look towards the window. By now, another friend further south from Tacoma will likely have met his character, and that owl is probably putting together all sorts of mad machines. Another friend in another direction has probably met his gatorsnake, as well. They'd be in trouble before long, though the owl is more likely to cause it, with all the mad science.

“Cornelius?"

“Yeah?"

“Would you mind heading off to Abel and collecting him and his person? I think we should all be together for this."

“Sure. Gives me a chance to get used to my new passenger."

The rabbit flicks his hat over his head, and then disappears into it. The top hat takes flight, and zips out the window, boop-boop-booping little circles out of the bottom of it as it disappears in the distance.

I look over at Draconicon, who is reclining at the head of the bed. He looks at me, and chuckles.

“You're getting really annoyed at something."

“Kinda…"

“I can feel it."

The dragon taps the side of his head.

“You thought that when we all came to life, it'd be simpler than this, didn't you? Like, you might get a whole group of people to enjoy, have sex with, and everything else like that."

“…Kinda."

“Yeah…I was kinda hoping for something like that, too. Nice to see the others, but, wish that it wasn't so chaotic at the same time."

“You're not the only one."

I lay down beside the black dragon, staring up at the ceiling. The cops had rattled me more than I want to admit, and I don't like the idea of just sitting here, waiting for them to come back. Because they are going to come back, I know that much. The first one is gonna get a warrant, considering the footage, and then they'll be here, looking for Drac, Cornelius, and Nemean. That isn't going to go well; unless they arrive with SWAT, they're going to get into a fight that they can't win, and that means that the whole apartment building is probably going to blow up, and…

Groaning, I look over at Draconicon again. The black dragon is familiar to me, more than any of the other characters I've created. Those empty white eyes, the scar on his chest just barely visible past the robe, the slightly rounded physique he's gained over the years. It's all something that I've seen crystal clear in my head, described time and again in the stories.

I know that he's going to be reliable in whatever happens. I just…wish that it was simpler.

Draconicon reaches over, and gently drags my hand down into his robe. He wraps it around his cock, and I look up at him.

“We could both use a distraction."

“Heh…not quite the slut you, huh?"

“I alternate. Just like you do."

“Heh…thank you."

I open his robe, and slide down towards his cock. It's already inflating, and I pull it towards my mouth, feeling the bloated sensation of heavy, hardening flesh between my fingers. The head is just a bit spongy, like a human cock, and it's already dripping for me. I lick around it, tasting his musk, and already feel my brain slipping away.

He flicks my forehead, snapping me back to the moment.

“Let's keep you sober this time, huh?"

“Right, right. I forgot I gave you that feature."

“Yeah, it's not the most consistent one."

“Blame that on the characters people keep putting you with. I swear, half of them don't pay attention."

“No, most of them just aren't as into musk control as you are."

“…Fair point."

I lean into the dragon's crotch again, and start to lose myself in the slow head-bobbing that comes with sucking on a bigger than average cock. It slips towards the back of my throat, filling me up, and then slides back towards my lips. I can barely fit the whole thing in, and I'm getting a pretty good reminder of how most furries overcompensate towards the whole 'endowments' of their cocks.

A foot long and three inches thick. If I took this whole thing, it'd break my jaw, I think to myself as I swallow around the head as best I can, the thickness too much to get into my throat. And around the base, I can feel my fingers getting spread wider and wider, a knot down there starting to grow.

I keep bobbing, enjoying the relaxing scent for a few minutes as the taste starts to fill my mouth, and slowly pull back.

“So, do you think I should finish you with my hands, or…"

“Heh, I think we both know how this should end."

Draconicon gestures downwards, and I move towards the side of the bed, lifting my feet for him. I blush as I press the arches to the sides of the black dragon's shaft, starting to work it, teasing it upwards from the bottom to the tip. It's weird, giving someone a footjob, but something of the fantasy of it leaks through, making it more pleasurable as that thick bit of meat rests against the bottom of my feet.

The dragon moans for me, his toes curling and his fingers curling into the bedsheets. I start to stroke his cock faster, my heels pressing together, and my toes dancing along the other side of his thick shaft as I stroke him hard and fast.

“Mmmph…that's it…little faster…"

“No problem with friction?"

“No…human feet…smoother. Now…faster!"

I oblige him, stroking his cock harder and faster with my feet, dragging them up and down, feeling his pre slime up the bottom of my soles. They're getting slippery and sticky at the same time, particularly around the toes, and I groan as I squeeze at my crotch. The dragon humps forward, sliding his cock between my feet, and I hold them still as he grinds and fucks the space between them.

It takes almost no time for Draconicon to cum, and his load spurts…well, a lot further than expected. I wince as a good three shots land on my alarm clock, with the rest soaking my sheets.

Seems like he got that hyper load, as well, I think.

Still, it's sexy to look at, even if it's going to be a bitch to clean up later. I shake my head again, slowly starting to pull my feet away, when I hear a knock on the window. I blink, turning my head.

Perched on her tiptoes on the window is a red panda, slight in the chest but wide in the hips. She smirks, a staff in hand as she raps her knuckles on the window again.

“Much as I love a show, care to let a queen in?"

Well….at least it's the easy one. I get up on slippery feet, and open the window, letting the red panda in a gold dress in. She hops down, looks around, and then looks at me.

I end up on the floor a second later, rubbing the back of my head from the impact as she shakes her head at me.

“Next time, don't write me in a dungeon in heat for that long? Not that it wasn't fun, but getting fucked by that bull's leaving stretch marks."

“Yeah, yeah…"
