A/N: So, we're a chapter away from our cameos. Only my select friends know what's happening next. Let's just say that there'll be a few loose ends tied up nicely.
Warning: This story contains mature situations, mild language, sexual innuendo, incestual innuendo (though no actual incest), discussion of rape/slavery/sex, foxes, wolves, other canines, supremacy, familial heritage, gay relationships, homosexual situations, and a particularly gory scene. Those with a weak mind are asked to leave. Those with a weak stomach, read with caution. "Erections lasting longer than four hours should be reported to a physician." If you are under the age of 18, I urge you to turn back now. While not an order, it is a dignified request. Chapter 3: Family Ties
While the captains, Roman, and the Sirian commanders spoke with the chieftain, Axis, Aries, and Atlas as well as Jasyn, Daemon, and Orion, spoke to one another, introducing themselves. The four of them; Atlas, Daemon, Jasyn, and Axis that is; were close. They almost exclusively hung out together. The two others had been asked to converse by Atlas; Orion because of his species, and Wraith because of his heritage.
"So, um... Wraith-" started Atlas.
"Please, Wraith is what the soldiers call me. Friends and family call me Aries," interrupted the wolf, and Jasyn smiled.
"Since we're technically your second-cousins-in-law... are we considered family?" asked Jasyn for both Daemon and himself.
Aries thought about this, and then noting that the other two were, at least partly, wolves, he nodded. "Of course," he said with a grin.
They were sitting on the ground outside of the shantytown. Surprisingly there was a little clearing where wispy and fine grass grew. Axis didn't like the feel much, but it was better than hard ground; and, of course, he chose to sit on Jasyn anyway, much to the wolf's approval.
"So, Aries..." started Atlas, "you can't be all that pleased that you're related to a pair of purebred foxes..." Atlas scratched his left arm and looked a bit ashamed, but Aries put the fear to rest then and there.
"Not at all. You're my family, and if there's one thing being in a pack has taught me, it's to stay true to your blood." Aries words were warm and full of caring, he was happy that he had found allies; the village was dying.
A transport landed nearby and a team of doctors, including Doctor Tavok, rushed out. The human medical officer ran over to them and asked, quietly, "What have you seen of the illness?"
"It affects the young. First their eyes go blank, then their fur starts to fall out, finally their body gives way to disease and they die. It started years ago..." said Wraith, looking at the woman. "Help them, please!"
"I'll do what I can. Alright team-" she called to her staff, "-let's go save some lives! We need to get out of here quickly!"
The sun was at its zenith, hovering hotly overhead. If the sky weren't filled with greenhouse gasses it would have been a nice day. It was stifling right now. Aries was panting slightly, but Axis and Atlas were cool, Jasyn was happily holding his mate's soft, white fur.
"Can we find some shade?" said Daemon, motioning to a toppled building. It was a sturdy structure still, remarkable considering it's ninety-degree slant. They sat in the cool shade now, on one of the building's walls that were now more floors than anything.
"That's better," said the wolf again. Orion was silent. He had been since Atlas asked him to accompany them.
Axis noticed this and said quietly to Jasyn, "I'll be right back." He stood up and walked over to the fox. No one but the fox and Jasyn were paying attention, the others were chatting away elsewhere. Orion sat near the other group, while Jasyn and Axis were sitting by themselves. He tapped the fox on the shoulder.
"Y-yes?" asked the fox, nervously.
"Come with me," said Axis, trying to sound kind, "I want to talk to you."
Orion nodded and gulped. He was half-expecting to be disciplined for taking Leon and Phillips as slaves. He stood slowly, aware that Atlas, Daemon, and Wraith were too engrossed in one-another to notice. 'You've messed up big time, O' he told himself.
Axis walked with the nearly trembling fox to a quiet corner of the "room" and leaned against the wall. This did more to make him look threatening, than it did to make him look casual; and, not expecting the very quiet yelp, he jumped a bit.
Orion feared for his life at this point, hoping that the fox would merely rape him and nothing more.
"You're scared," said Axis bluntly, "afraid I'll hurt you."
Orion nodded, gulping yet again.
Axis smirked and shook his head. "You shouldn't be," he said, "I'm not the violent type."
Orion nodded again, he dared not speak a word. He was on the verge of wetting himself.
"Calm down... you did nothing wrong, and for that I am grateful. I just noticed that you were quiet, and wanted to chat," tried Axis, hoping to comfort the trembling youth. While Orion was clearly one or two years older than Axis, he had been brought up as a slave, and didn't have this inner strength. Axis had been protected from such a fate.
"My name is Axis Levi," introduced the fox, holding out a paw, back still against a wall.
Orion slowly lifted his paw, biting his lip, and said, softly, "O-orion..." He almost yelped when Axis took his paw and shook it.
"Well, Orion, it's nice to meet you," added Axis, smiling brightly.
'Oh that smile... he's hiding his hatred, his lust...' thought Orion. He could barely contain his fear, but he had to lest it leak from him. "Th-thank you s-sir..." said Orion, looking down.
"Please, don't call me sir... I am not a master and you will not be a slave," said Axis, knowing full well what his new friend was thinking. He could feel it, a sort of empathy he had.
Orion looked up and sighed. "S-sorry... A-are you going to p-punish me?" he asked.
Axis snickered and laid a paw on the confused and frightened fox's shoulder. "Of course not. I told you, I'm not a violent person. While I may violate Jasyn from time to time, I don't really have a normal sex drive."
'Normal sex drive' in a Sirian was sex twice a day. Axis and Jasyn went at it perhaps twice every three days, if Jasyn was lucky.
Orion blinked and relaxed a bit, looking fearful and tired, and said, "S-sorry... I'm just so used to being, you know... used, but it still scares me..."
"And rightly so. Being raped regularly is a very frightening thing, I'll bet. You won't have to worry about that though," comforted Axis.
The still-on-edge fox nodded and sighed. "So if you don't want to discipline me, why did you call me away from all the others?" he asked.
Axis flicked one of his tails as a sign to Jasyn. They had a 'sign language' of sorts. This particular sign meant 'come here' and Axis had sent it because, like suggested, he wanted Jasyn there. "Like I said, I wanted to talk to you, and I felt that if you were crowded you wouldn't speak..."
Jasyn walked up behind the fox, walking around him to get to his Axis. "Hey, Kit," smiled Jasyn, as he sat in his lover's lap and kissed him. Axis smiled a bit, but stopped Jasyn's advances.
"Jayse, stop. I want you to meet Orion," said Axis, eliciting a bit of a grumble from his wolf, but a smile nonetheless.
Jasyn turned his head and held out a paw, smiling. "Hello Orion. I'm Jasyn, Axis' bitch," he snickered, and Axis hit him with the loose back of his paw, chuckling a bit. It was a 'that was a stupid mistake' gesture, and Orion chuckled a bit too.
"Really? You're the bottom?" asked Orion, looking awestruck for a moment.
Jasyn nodded and Axis corrected. "More like I'm more dominant... but yes, he tends to be on the bottom of our escapades..." he said, and smiled.
Jasyn smiled and yawned. He began, "So, Orion, tell me..."
--
"So you managed to escape in an airlock? That's lucky. But the entire ship just blew apart? That must have been rough," said Aries, as Atlas related his story.
"Yeah... the hardest thing was that I didn't know my brother wasn't on it. I thought Axis was dead, and I felt lost and confused. I suppose he was sort of, the reason I am what I am. I gave my body protecting him," explained Atlas, and Daemon hugged his vulpine lover tightly.
"You are noble, and honourable. You have great strength, Atlas..." said Aries, blushing a bit.
"I mean, don't get me wrong, I loved every minute of it, usually. It felt great, submitting myself like that, but more often than not I was protecting Axis from the horny jerks that wanted some fox they thought was weak. Axis is perhaps the strongest person I know..." corrected Atlas.
Atlas' commlink beeped, and on the other side of the room so did Jasyn's and Axis'. They all had one unified message. "We're under attack, get back here on the double!"
Jasyn got up and before he could take two steps Axis had already started running. They stuck together, the six of them. They came to the pit and found a team of Craganii Hunter-Trappers.
'Oh great' thought Axis, lifting his blade. "Jasyn, go around left with Daemon, make a crossfire, Atlas, you and Wraith go right and cover me. Orion, do you have anything to defend yourself with?" commanded Axis immediately.
He didn't.
Aries grabbed his knife and spun it, handing it to the fox handle-first. "I want that back, so you're not allowed to die," he said, and Orion nodded and took the knife.
"Alright, Orion, follow me, the rest of you, cover us!" said Axis, and gunfire erupted.
Axis walked towards the Craganii at first. Orion handled his knife like a beginner. All around them were shots of highly charged phased matter. The two of them started to jog, and then a run. Axis let out a battlecry that none of them present would forget. It would from then on be the call that the Sirian Military shouted when they ran into battle. The call was this. "As one~" he shouted, drawing out the one, and he ran towards the Crag with a ferocity that would rival any wolf's.
Axis made a leap, and cleared at least twenty metres, thanks to his powers, slicing cleanly through the arm of one of the assailants.
From the village came another cry, the Earth forces were rushing in too. Leon and Phillips carried a pair of heavy-repeating rifles, running in guns ablaze, this panic over a group of twenty or so Craganii.
One of the Crag swung their tail at Axis, and the fox jumped back and deflected the blow with his blade. Orion ran in and growled, driving his knife through the scales of one the crag that swung at Axis. The fox had hit it in the beast's neck, and some of the blood hit his paw. It stung, like he was being burnt, and he cried out in pain.
Axis blinked and rushed to his colleague, grabbing him up and carrying him away, hopping into the air almost immediately. The crag shot at him, directly at him, and the shots seemed to be absorbed. He lay Orion down in the air, somehow the fox did not fall, and he turned around, angry now.
His eyes suddenly flashed violet, and his paws went white with an aura of energy. Axis shot straight down at the Crag, Orion's pain growing still. Every cry of terror the fox gave added to Axis' fury. He drove straight through the crag, grabbing one by the neck and literally twisting off the brute's head. A sickening crunch was heard.
Jasyn watched, horrified all of a sudden as Axis turned and started firing off blasts of the energy in his paws. One by one the Craganii were falling, this energy filling them and obliterating them. They exploded like fireworks, but more gruesome.
Axis' 'shield' stopped the blood as it fell down upon him. It hit the shield and trickled down. Axis turned to look at the final Craganii, and incidentally towards Jasyn. It was a sight the wolf would never forget. Axis' fur was white still, but his paws glowed with a white-hot aura of power and destruction. His eyes had gone from their tranquil pools of violet to a solid sheen of red, glowing hot like the coals of a fire. The moment a rock entered into his shield it crumbled, the earth itself moved for him. Axis was floating, and the ground was melting away as it hit his shield. The Craganii was horrified, and tried to take off. His wings crumpled the moment he fluttered them once. He tried to run, but another sickening snap was heard from his legs. He groaned out in pain, and tried to crawl away, and one by one the beast's arms broke, painfully. Axis hovered above it, glaring down with his inferno eyes.
What happened next was the icing on the cake. Axis' fur bristled, blew in an energetic wind. It started at his eyes, the change. His fur started to turn crimson. His eartips turned black. In a matter of moments his entire form looked much like Aries, but much more threatening. He grinned down at the beast, and all present were sure it lost control of its bowels. He held out a paw, pointing a finger at the brute, and said in a voice that boomed loud enough for even Captain Varu, at least three hundred metres away, to hear, "This day marks the beginning of the end for your race. You are lucky to have the fortune of dying quickly. You come here to harm others, and it is you that will now die."
At that, a strand of white light shot from Axis' fingertip, piercing the Craganii's skull instantly. He let out one final cry, and shuddered into a heap, quite thoroughly dead.
Axis' eyes shimmered and faded, he wavered and fell from the air to his knees. He blinked, his vision blurring. The last thing he heard before he collapsed was the sudden yelp as Orion fell from the sky. He would suffer no injury, as would later be discovered. Axis eyes returned to normal, and his fur suddenly calmed and turned white again. He wasn't dead, but he was very completely exhausted.
--
It had been three days and Axis lay sleeping in his bed still. Every night Jasyn would crawl in beside his lover, hoping that the fox would wake in the morning. He just needed sleep; that much was apparent. One morning it happened, Jasyn woke up to feel a pair of arms wrapped round his waist, and a tail wrapped round his left leg. He smiled and opened his eyes to see Axis slumbering peacefully, but a light sleep, not the deep, un-waking sleep he'd seen so far.
Axis' eyes fluttered open. He was still wearing his uniform pants, but Jasyn was very nude. He smiled upon seeing his lover, and gently kissed the wolf's nose. Jasyn smiled back.
"You awaken, finally," he said, murring happily.
"How long?" asked Axis simply.
"Three days..." replied Jasyn grimly, "Three days of fear... but I'm glad you're up..."
Axis smirked and said, "You wouldn't believe how 'up' I am Jasyn..."
Jasyn blushed, but shook his head. "A-axis...?" he asked, looking to his mate's eyes. "T-there's something you need to be told..." he added, hesitantly.
Axis looked at his mate, concerned. "Are you okay? Is anyone hurt? Where's-gaaah!" Axis' questions were cut short by a sudden headache. He breathed heavily and gasped slightly. "W-what was... that..." said the fox, cringing still.
Jasyn's reply stung more still, but he groaned through in and the headache seemed to subside with the information. "I-it was like you transformed... You weren't you anymore, Axis... your fur changed, turned black. Your eyes glowed red, and... your paws were... it was like they were on fire, but more of a pulsing light... I don't know... but it scared me," said Jasyn, before adding, "I was worried you'd turn on us."
Axis blinked, his headache seeming much further away now, and less painful. He slowly put his arms around Jasyn's back, brought his nose to his mate's, and kissed the wolf deeply. Axis' tongue licked at the underside of Jasyn's, and Jasyn could do nothing but moan in pleasure.
When Axis pulled away, he looked at Jasyn with a concerned face and said, "I'll never hurt you Jasyn... I promise that."
"I know..." was the wolf's simple reply.
--
An hour later the two had managed to convince one another that the world outside their bed beckoned, and that they'd 'aught to answer it. Axis' eyes were locked on his feet as he walked, deep in thought. His shoulders were slumped and his paws were in his pockets, looking sullen and depressed, but really just being comfortable.
The base was buzzing with activity. There were young furs of all species running around underfoot, and Axis simply walked past them, not noticing. Jasyn had stopped a moment to talk to one of the kids that had taken a great interest in him, but Axis didn't see.
The moment Jasyn returned to his side, Axis concluded a statement and the wolf blinked and had to put a paw out to catch his mate's attention. "What did you say?" he asked, blinking a few more times.
"I said, 'maybe I should go away for awhile. I need to find out if these powers can be controlled. If they could be, then I would be a very powerful weapon against the Crag..." repeated Axis with a shrug. He quickly added, "...or not," and kept walking.
Jasyn stood there, shocked at the words he'd just heard, and quickly turned and leapt on his mate, landing with a thud while straddling the fox's chest. He shook Axis roughly and gave him a whack across the face, leaving Axis stunned this time.
" Never call yourself a weapon Axis! You are a living, breathing, caring _ fox, a fox that I love! Do you _know how much it hurts to hear you talk like that?" said Jasyn, raising his voice to make sure the fox could hear him, though he was immediately beside him. Jasyn was crying slightly.
Axis was dazed, and looked blankly at the ceiling. Leon happened to be walking past, and caught the tail end of the angered words of Jasyn. He almost ran to the pair, sprawled on the ground and creating a scene, and wrenched Jasyn off. Jasyn nearly bit his arm off, growling vehemently at the intrusion to his venting of anger. Jasyn was outright mad now. He was almost at the point of wanting blood.
Axis slowly rose to his feet, and just the sight of the cut on his right cheek pulled Jasyn back to Earth, (actually more like 'Back to Siribet', but...) he slowly took a step forward, and Axis had only one thought on his mind. He quickly leapt at Jasyn and pinned him in a very deep and powerful kiss. The entire audience shrieked as the fox soared through the air, and gasped at the kiss they had been witness to.
Jasyn lay on the ground under the fox. Some of Axis' blood had smeared on his cheek, but the one thing he could never take his eyes from in that moment were Axis' eyes. The fox's eyes were full of love, of trust, of an insatiable need to please, and a more insatiable need to impress. Behind all of those surface emotions though, Jasyn saw Axis' true heart. Axis eyes hid fear, loss, and sadness. Jasyn realized that it had always been there. Since the first day he'd laid eyes on the fox, those amethyst pools of courage had always been filled with fear. He just hadn't seen it then, but he saw it now, buried beneath the surface.
"I'm sorry..." said Jasyn finally, and Axis just stared down at him, smiling very slightly.
"You don't need to be sorry, Jasyn. You've already been right about this, it's my turn to be something. I'm sorry," said Axis, before he slowly stood and offered a paw to Jasyn. His cheek fur was slowly being stained red, and Leon pointed that out.
"You should go see Tavok at least, infections can be nasty," said the human, and Axis nodded and headed for the infirmary.
--
"Atlas!" called a lupine voice. A distinctly black wolf walked up to the fox and smiled. "We still on for tonight? I can't wait to learn to fly!"
Atlas chuckled and lay a paw on Aries' shoulder. "Of course we're still on. It's not everyday we get new people around here, and we need to train the capable in the art of combat. Go, sleep now; you'll need your rest for tonight's session," replied the fox with a smile.
Aries smirked and started to walk away, before he called back, "God... it almost sounds like we're planning to have sex."
While only meant as a joke, Atlas' breath hitched. Aries was attractive, no doubts there. The strong muscular arms, and the powerful, defined chest. Those lean, gorgeous legs leading up to his- 'gah!' thought Axis, 'He's my fucking cousin! Give it a rest!' he scolded himself. His mind continued despite his warning, and he caught himself thinking, 'well, second-cousin...'
Aries' only thought was, 'now where's that fox I'm not related to?'
--
Orion was in his new quarters, firmly engrossed in a data file on the Falchion crew. His ear twitched as he heard the curtain draw behind him and he hurriedly closed the file and spun around to look at the intruder.
"Well, little fox, it seems you're making yourself quite at home here, hmm?" asked the wolf, smiling evilly.
The wolf in question was the chieftain of the village that had been relocated. After the Crag attack they felt in necessary to be near the humans. Their need for survival outweighed their Xenophobia, or so it seemed.
"I'd like you to do a little snooping for me, Ry my boy. Find out why that fox holds so much sway around here, if you would?" suggested the wolf, more as an order than as a request.
"B-but sir, I-" started to argue Orion.
"Excuse me, but did you just question an order, fox? Perhaps I'll need to convince you then..." the chieftain slowly loomed closer to the frightened youth.
"That's about as far as you're going, Chief. Back off, nice and slow..." warned a familiar voice from behind.
From behind a pistol stood Aries, staring directly at the scene before him. He made sure the chieftain knew the safety was off by flipping over the switch while the larger wolf was looking. It made a satisfying tick sound and he aimed a little more threateningly.
"Protecting a subservient? Why Wraith my dear, this isn't like you," snickered the older wolf, before glaring down at the other. "Are you going soft on me?" he added, and slowly rounded on Aries.
"On the contrary, oh, fearless leader, I'm still as rough as I used to be. Leave, quietly, or this will be messy," warned Aries again.
Orion had practically wet himself by now, and was looking pleadingly at Aries. He didn't want to see violence.
Surprisingly, the chieftain slowly walked past and snorted. "This isn't over, Wraith. Don't think that for a moment..." he said, and slowly departed the room.
Almost immediately Orion collapsed into his chair, relieved but at the same time worried. Aries holstered his weapon, a special holster strapped near the left pectoral. He walked over and laid a paw on Orion's shoulder, smiling.
"Are you all right?" he asked with a smile; and contrary to his namesake, he was very friendly looking.
"Y-yes... I think so..." came the quick and frightened response. "I... suppose I should repay you," he added, looking into Aries' eyes.
The wolf's eyes were oddly hued. They were like golden sunbursts with a silver ring around the edge. Those eyes were deeply soothing to the fox, and Aries knew this fact well.
"Orion. You needn't repay me for an act of kindness... I was doing my duty to a friend," smiled Aries, and the fox just seemed to melt. If the wolf had asked him then and there to fuck like there wasn't going to be another sunrise, Orion would have agreed, readily.
"So, I'll see you later on then?" asked Aries with another smile. Orion nodded his reply. "Good," added the wolf, before waving a goodbye and taking his leave.
"Gods I wish he was gay..." said Orion quietly to himself, and he slowly returned to work, distracted by a raging erection and thoughts of being ploughed by the strong and attractive wolf. His paw still stung from where the acidic Craganii blood fell on him, but he'd gotten nothing more serious than a bare paw. His fur would grow back, hopefully.
He sat, and read...
