#3 of Dad Camp

Pascal stayed the night! Can the wolf really help Elliot loosen up a bit? The lion finds himself liking their friendship as they spend the day together. Anything can happen at this rate. Oh yeah, there's something in the water. Watch out!

Elliot held his arm around the one wrapped around his chest. It felt so nice to be held. He ran his paw along the arm. Thick, veiny, and unfamiliar. The lion opened his eyes and looked down. Pascal wasn't lying about being a nighttime snuggler. Elliot struggled a bit to get the wolf to loosen his grip. Pascal started to sleepily protest as he eventually rolled over and curled up. Elliot chuckled to himself and shook his head. He popped the tent open and took in the morning air.

He shakily stood up out of the tent and started to twist his body back and forth. A loud pop emitting from his back. He let out a growl of satisfaction. He walked to the edge of the campground which dipped down into the rivers ravine. The waterfall busily working as it misted over the area. Elliot reached into his pocket and pulled out a crushed pack of cigarettes.

He got lucky! They were only squished a bit. He stuck one into his lip and dragged into it as he lit up. He stood there enjoying the rising sun and the waterfall. It was a lovely view up here. He heard a rustling behind him as the big wolf stumbled sleepily out of the tent. He very quickly adjust his shorts and fixed himself before approaching Elliot.

"Mm..morning El," he said as he stretched out next to him.

"Mornin' sleepy head," said Elliot.

"I am not a morning person," he chuckled, "And coffee is several miles down the mountainside."

"We've made a dire mistake staying out here," Elliot nodded.

Pascal chuckled as he rubbed on his eyes, "Mmm... Guess we'll have to let nature wake us up."

"Oh?" said Elliot as he turned to face Pascal, "OH!"

The wolf had completely stripped naked, "You ever shower in a waterfall, El?"

The lion laughed, averting his eyes, "Can't say I have."

"Hehe, get your pack," said the wolf, "There's a nature safe bar of soap in there that'll have you smellin' fresh."

"You saying I smell bad?" Elliot laughed.

Elliot got his pack down and followed the naked wolf down towards the waterfall. Elliot dropped his pack down atop a stone. Pascal rummaged through the pack and pulled out a bar of soap. He gave it a sniff and held it up for Elliot.

It smelled of lavender and cedar, "Smells nice."

"Mmhmm," said the wolf as he made his way to a platform of rocks under the waterfall, "Come on El, drop your clothes and be a natural animal."

The lion took in a deep breath. I can do this he thought to himself. The lion unbuttoned his shirt and then slid his shorts and underwear off. He placed his clothes on top of his pack and turned to where the wolf was. He was already rubbing himself down with the bar of soap. His muscles glistening in the morning sun as he stood stark naked in the waterfalls caress. Elliot hesitated in joining and had instant regrets for his hesitation.

Pascal grinned broadly and approached the lion, and picked him up, "Get in here you big lug!"

Elliot yelped as the wolf carried him into the fall, "I..I...uh...."

The wolf set him down under the fall, "What's the matter El? Don't like being manhandled by another naked dude." Pascal ruffled Elliots mane.

"I...I...uh..." he repeated himself, "It was just very unexpected."

"And you can do the unexpected, right?"

"I think I can."

"It's what Dad Camp is for!" Pascal exclaimed, "Just let loose and have fun!"

Elliot nodded as he leaned back into the waterfalls caress, "Have fun... Got it.."

The wolf held the bar of soap out for him. Elliot took it and started to scrub down all the essential areas. This was actually pretty relaxing. Pascal stayed near, the wolf just leaning in and out of the water, letting it massage his body. Elliot sudsed up his mane and leaned back into the water to rinse himself out completely. He shook himself out as he stepped out of the water. He then took a heaping handful of water to the face.

"What the...?" he shook his mane back out and saw Pascal with his paws in the water, and he saw it coming this time. "Why you!" Elliott started to splash the wolf back. This was childish, but Elliot was laughing along with Pascal as they battled back and forth. Pascal growled playfully as he leapt at Elliot. The both of them were howling with laughter as they were now trying to throw each other to the other side of the waterfall.

"You're pretty tough big guy," the wolf said as he tried to keep a grip around the lions arms.

"N...not bad yourself," said Elliot as he strained, the muscle hunk of a wolf obviously having the upper hand.

"Here...you go..." said Pascal as Elliots feet started to slide towards the edge.

"I have an advantage," said Elliot as he pushed back.

"What's that?" Pascal grinned ear to ear.

"Weight!" the lion slammed himself into the wolf and hugged around him tightly as he threw himself backwards. Pascal let out a yip as they cascaded down the fall into the swirling pool below. Elliot lost the wolf before they hit. He started to flail around as he tried to reorient himself. He started to pump his arms as he moved up and broke out of the water. He could hear laughter when he took in a deep breath of air.

"Oh man!" Pascal chuckled, "I was not expecting that!"

Elliot chuckled as he tread water, "You've got a helluva lot more muscle than me. I got desperate."

"So you took one for the Elliot team and drowned us both!" Pascal splashed some water at him.

"Hehe, hey now, the battle's over," said Elliot, he then paused as he felt something large brush by his legs, "Uh....what kind of fish are in here?"

"What do you...." Pascal was cut off short as he suddenly sunk underwater.

Elliot's eyes grew wide as he slowly started to back away to shore, "Pascal!?" He was starting to panic. He kept trying to push himself backwards. Suddenly a large fin popped up out of the water and the lion yelled out. He turned about and started swimming as hard as he could to shore. He clamored up on the shoreline as the fin sunk back down into the water. He could hear laughter out in the water, it was Pascal, alive and well. A short ways down the shoreline came a cackling from a scrawny looking coyote.

Pascal howled out from the water, "Watch out El! He almost got you!"

Keller came tumbling over the rocks as he approached Elliot, "Oh man, oh man! He got you so good!"

The lion shook out his mane to refocus his eyes on everything, "The hell just happened?!"

The fin popped back up out of the water, and along with it, the body attached to it. A rather fit looking shark rose up out of the water, wearing nothing but a bright orange speedo. He was laughing as he rose up from the water like some sort of diabolical villain.

"Oh man, I am so sorry!" said the shark as he got a hold of himself, "I saw Pascal dive into the water, and I thought he was too good to pass up. I'm so sorry for scaring you!"

Elliot was still shaken, and he could feel a temper flaring, but he took a deep breath. He took in the sharks muscular form, stripes and spots formed around him in dark orange over a reddish skin tone. The shark approached him and held out a hand.

"Please, I'm sincerely sorry," he said, "Keller told me to go spook whoever was up here."

Elliot shook his head, finally letting out a chuckle as he took the sharks hand, "Quite alright, you made sure my heart still worked."

The shark chuckled as they shook hands, "Good sport!"

"Hey Elliot!" shouted Keller as he approached, "What the hell are you doin' out here!? And naked?!"

Elliot blushed as he put his paws over his privates, having forgotten he was naked, "Uh...well," he looked over at Pascal who was coming up out of the water, "This is Dad Camp."

"Damn right," said Pascal, "Anything goes."

"Wait!" Keller got excited, "You mean, I could have been naked this entire time!?" He motioned his hands along his body which was only fitted with a blue speedo and water shoes.

The shark smirked, "Well, duh. Didn't you pay attention at the one minute orientation?"

Keller slid his speedo off and stuck it over his head, his ears poking up through the leg holes, "I didn't know he actually meant it! Fuck man, I am gonna be naked this whole time now."

The shark shook his head with a sigh, "You're a damn hoot, Keller."

"What brings you up here Victor?" Pascal asked of the shark.

"This damn hound here," said Victor, giving the coyotes bare ass a slap, which caused him to giggle, "He asked me if he could do my morning swim with me. Little did I know, he wanted to use me as a damn jet ski, and asked me if I could bring him up the mountain."

"Hey man," said Keller from under his speedo, "You said it was cool."

"Good thing you're so light," said Victor as he booped Keller on his snout.

Keller chuckled as he pushed his speedo up so he could see, "You're such a good all terrain vehicle."

"What about you fellas?" Victor asked, looking over the both of them, "Bathing nude or?"

Elliot blushed, "We were showering in the waterfall and got into a wrestling match."

"This brick wall," said Victor as he thumped Pascal against the chest, causing the wolf to chuckle, "Is the last thing I would challenge, hehe. You guys stay overnight? Cause it takes me an hour to get up this far."

Elliot hesitated, and nodded, "Yeah. I came up here to get away, but that guy followed me. Good thing he did, I was contemplating going home."

"Oh yeah?" said Victor, "A little overwhelming, isn't it?"

Elliot nodded, "I've not left home in ten years. I think this was just a big shock to my system is all. I needed fresh air and space. The over friendliness of everyone was a little overbearing as well."

"Ay, I get that," Victor agreed, "My first year was kind of the same. My kid moved out for college, and I had just me, so I found myself a place to go. I thought it was silly when I got here, but I just can't get enough now. They gotta convince me to return back to the bay every year. It's just so nice being up here, hanging with all my friends. Home life is boring now."

Keller was wagging his tail, "I'm having a blast! Just loosen up Elliot, and you'll be having fun in no time. Like me!"

"You're a social butterfly," Victor tugged the speedo down over the coyotes eyes, "He's a wallflower, probably from a small town."

"And you're very right," Elliot nodded.

An alarm suddenly went off from on top of the ravine, "Whoops!" Pascal took off up to the sound. He picked up his shorts and unclipped his radio. He briefly talked into it, and a response came back through, affirming he was still alive.

Pascal bounded down the slope to them, "Sorry about that. I forgot to check in. Walther wanted to make sure you were alright, too."

"That's awful kind of him," said Elliot.

Pascal winked, "I suppose we should pack up and head back down, huh?"

Elliot nodded, "Yeah. I'm feeling a lot better."

"Race you down!" said Keller, whose nose was in the crotch of his speedo so he could see out the leg holes now, as he leapt up onto Victors back.

"Hehe, we'll see you guys down there," said Victor as he dove back into the water, the coyote yowling like a deranged cowboy as he was sped down river at incredible speed by his shark steed.

"That Keller guy sure is something," Pascal grinned.

"Yeah," said Elliot, "I..uh..Suppose I should get my clothes... I'll meet you up at the tent."

"Sure thing!" said Pascal as he went up.

Elliot made his way to the backside of the waterfall. He sighed as he realized there was only a small washcloth in the bag. Certainly not enough to dry his whole body. He stuffed his clothes into the pack and decided he'd try and be more adventurous. He trudged back up the mountainside to his camp. The wolf already had the tent broken down and was already in the process of rolling it back up.

"Damn," said Elliot, "You're quick at that."

"Best damn boy scout you'll ever meet," he chuckled as he rolled it tight and stuffed it back into its bag.

"So, I guess I'm air drying for awhile," said Elliot.

"Me too!" the wolf chuckled, "I promise not to check you out on the way."

Elliot laughed as he shook his head. He mounted the tent and sleeping bag back onto the pack and wrapped it around his shoulders. The lion and wolf then started back down the trail that got them there. Pascal engaged him in more conversation about the camp. He told Elliot all about the events there were planned, and that the cabins were all actually teams that would come into play as the month goes on.

"So, there's team events?" Elliot asked, "And I have to depend on my cabin mates to win these events?"

"That's right!" said Pascal, "They're a lot of fun. I won't give you any spoilers though. The cabin events pop up sporadically, and can happen at any time. Usually when everyone is in one spot, a counselor team will activate their event. Not all of us always get to do one, but we work together to make sure the other counselors have a successful event. There's five counselor teams. There's Howler, Monster, Inferno, Prowler, and my team, Beast." He gave a playful wink.

"Hah, so I'm a part of team Beast?" Elliot asked.

"By extension of me," Pascal grinned, "And should it be a five way match up, your cabin will team up with cabins one and nine. Red and Roger are my cohorts in crime, and sometimes Hank since he bunks in our cabin. He's one of the chefs."

Elliot nodded, "So, when we're all together, huh? Is this why you're convincing me to go watch fireworks?"

Pascal laughed, "Damn, man, you caught me!"

Elliot grinned, "You've got me curious now. I think I can roll with this."

The lion was really starting to like this wolf. He wasn't judgemental, he was constantly jovial about everything. Pascal just oozed positivity. Elliot liked that a lot. They soon came to a stop to get redressed, as both of them had dried out fairly well, and Elliot was still nervous about running around the camp wearing nothing. They then continued their travel down the mountainside.

"Woof! Almost there!" said Pascal, his tail wagging, "I can go for some real food."

"Ugh...Yes please," said Elliot.

The main lodge came into view. Elliot felt good about going in this time. He and Pascal went straight for the dining room. It was almost the end of lunch. Pascal ordered the both of them large subs full of meat, which came out promptly for them.

Elliot took in a big bite and moaned happily, "Oh god, so good. I'm too fat to be living off of protein bars and jerky."

Pascal chuckled, "Don't be hard on yourself! You're a good lookin' man."

Elliot shook his head, "You sure know how to flatter a soggy lion."

"Hehe, you beefed me up pretty good," said Pascal, "Not many guys here can even say they piledrived me down a waterfall."

Elliot grinned as he continued his meal. Pascal was right. Elliot knew he was more well off than most guys his size. He at least got a daily workout in his shop. The two of them finished eating and continued to talk as their food settled.

"Elliot!" came a voice from across the hall.

Elliot looked up and saw his roommates, Allen and Luke, "Oh, hey guys."

Allen took a seat, "We wanted to apologise."

"H..he wanted to apologize," said Luke.

"I wanted to apologize," said the wolf as he shot a look at the rat, "I came on a little strong, and thought I scared you off. I'm just so used to this atmosphere, and you're not."

"It's alright," Elliot gave him a reassuring smile, "I just went camping to get some fresh air and I think I'm prepared now for whatever this place throws at me."

"I'll even wear clothes to help you be more comfortable," said Allen.

"A... And?" said Luke.

"Be a bit more sensitive to those around me," Allen nodded.

Elliot laughed, "You two act like you're married." Luke and Allen exchanged glances which Elliot didn't pick up on, "But no, really, I'm alright now. I just spent the whole day with Pascal, and he helped put my mind at ease. I'll probably keep being surprised, but I'm ready to embrace it."

Keller came up to the table with his speedo still wrapped around his face, and nude as could be, "Hah! Beat you!"

Pascal laughed, "That was hardly a race!"

Keller wagged his tail, "See you two got your clothes back on! I feel underdressed!"

Elliot blushed as Luke and Allen raised an eyebrow at him, "Hey now, he merely interrupted a waterfall shower."

Allen smirked as he leaned towards Elliot, "I gotta ask now. Is Pascals dick as swollen as the rest of him?"

The lion laughed and decided to play along and tease, "Even more so."

It was Pascals turn to blush, "Didn't know you was lookin," he shot back.

Elliot chuckled, "Well guys, I'm gonna grab some coffee, and I'm gonna check out the events going on. Gotta turn my bag in too."

They all bid Elliot farewell as the lion carried his pack up to reception. First, he picked up a coffee to try and give himself a boost. He approached the desk and stood there a moment and read over the upcoming events. There was quite a lot to do aside from all the normal stuff. Kayak racing, atv racing, rugby, fencing, medieval reenactment, and the list went on and on. Elliot paused when he crossed over 'Couples Contest'. Angelo came out of the back room.

"Ah, you're back," he beamed at Elliot.

"Uh yeah," said Elliot, "I wanted to return my pack, and to check out what events were coming up. Uh, what's the couples content?"

"Oh!" said Angelo, the leopard chuckled, "It's a bit of a misleading name. It's a contest that has teams of two that compete in silly camp races and competition. Such as bean bag tossing, sac race, and the like. The prize is a free cruise on the yacht with Elric, wine, and cheesecake!"

"Oh!" said Elliot as he looked over the list which only currently had five teams signed up, including his roommates, "I suppose I'll have to find a friend to enter with. I'm a sucker for cheesecake. That gives me a week and a half..."

The leopard grinned, "I'm sure you'll find someone! That list usually fills out and it becomes an all day event."

Elliot handed over his pack, and the leopard took it to the back room, he continued to look at the list, and came upon a rather odd one, "What's this dinner party? It says mandatory."

Angelo chuckled as he came back out, "That, my dear friend, is a secret. Trust me, it's worth it. It always happens on the second Saturday. I can tell you it is a cabin event, so get to know your roommates well."

"Sure thing," Elliot chuckled, "Any other crazy things I should know about?"

"Your shoes," said Angelo as he set them on the counter.

"Oh, whoops," said Elliot, "Forgot about those. Thank you."

Angelo winked, "If any other crazy things pop up, I'll be sure to let you know."

"Thanks Angelo," said Elliot.

Angelo gave him a salute as the lion set off into the campground, shoes at hand. He sipped on his coffee as he decided to return to his cabin and set his shoes down as he sat on his bed. He let out a big sigh as he set his coffee on the side table and laid back. His mind was racing with the day that just happened.

Pascal was a lot of fun to hang out with. He oddly made Elliot comfortable. Victor was pretty nice too, and Keller was himself, which had the lion thinking he did in fact take life a bit too hard. Maybe he could loosen up a bit more like Keller. It was nice of Allen to apologize, and it was quite funny that the timid, skinny rat had forced him to. Elliot chuckled to himself as he lay there, slowly drifting off to sleep as he felt so exhausted. A little nap couldn't hurt.
