Looks like Revakulgr and Aziel are starting their relationship off in a most enjoyable way. Hopefully this leads to a wonderful relationship. I really have enjoyed how Veronica has written these stories

Summary: Revakulgr cements the bond with her new friend Aziel, gaining a human agent to act for her in the world, and unexpectedly finds herself attached to him in another way as well in addition to gaining a spirit companion of her own

Chapter Four

"So... how do we... proceed?" the human inquired, cocking his head to one side. "You said you need some of my essence, but you don't want blood, so what do you need then?"

The dragoness gently encouraged the mouse-like Nephila to find a different perch, and it scurried off towards the forest edge. Revakulgr hadn't intended to run the helpful little spirit off entirely, but she supposed that this was not to be exactly a peaceful situation, particularly if Aziel were as inexperienced as herself. She knew, though, that spells focused through the particular kind of essence that she desired were as potent as those that used mingled blood, binding the individuals together almost inextricably. She would be bound to him as he to her, and it would require both of them to break the bond. Which, strangely, was attractive. He had potential in the magical arts, or so said the memories she had stolen from Axel, even if he had no spark about him as of yet nor training. It would be useful to have a second practitioner, especially one that could move among the native population with ease. She had not yet dared attempted any of the rituals that she had learned, partly out of caution and partly because she was not certain that they would work with her kind of magic. It seemed that spells in this realm seemed to mostly focus on drawing power from other sources rather than from a personal wellspring, and she was uncertain if one might drain her entirely as they did the shadow beasts.

She shook her head slightly, leaving behind her musings and returning to the moment. By way of answer to Aziel's question, she rolled onto her side and lifted her uppermost hind to display the pinkened vent between her legs. She had long ago learned to suppress the needs brought on by her season, with both spell and willpower, but it seemed fortuitous to have entered into a breeding period at this time. The human glanced at her, then towards her hind end, then back to her face, and then his eyes widened considerably.

"Oh! You want... Uh... Listen, pretty lady, that's... a very generous offer, but... I mean..." He spread his arms wide, indicating the whole of her. "And I'm..." He brought his hands closer together, indicating a much smaller size. "Like... hotdog in a hallway, much? I'm pretty sure I could get off, but I'm not sure it'd do much for you, and that just seems a little inconsiderate, if you get what I mean."

The dragoness blinked and looked between the human and herself, realizing the problem. "Ah. Yes. I do see your point. I will admit that I had not considered this quite as thoroughly as I I might have, but there is a solution."

She formed the components in her mind: reduction, form (indicating the whole), equal (to maintain her proper shape), and limitation. She did not, after all, want to shrink herself out of existence, nor did she want to make herself too small. She was a dragon, and needed to maintain some of the dignity and majesty that her size and power brought, though the concession to the human was necessary. She had not yet gained permission to alter the human in any way, so she must do so to herself. She did not wish to force her power upon him and frighten him away considering that he seemed wary enough of her at the moment. She rolled to her claws and pushed her power into the spell, concentrating carefully as her size decreased. When the level of her head came to just above his own, she cancelled it. It left her total size at still about three times the human's, with her torso of approximate size to his own. She felt that it should be sufficient to provide mutual satisfaction during the exchange, and she still felt of a size to handle what threats she had thus far encountered, humans included. Since she had not actually shed the excess mass, merely condensed it, this smaller form also made her hide far tougher, though it also caused her body temperature to rise. She had attempted to condense herself to be of a height with Moxthurirl once, and it had resulted in becoming hot enough to leave melted footprints in stone, but this was a somewhat less drastic change and should not unduly trouble the human's delicate flesh.

Aziel cocked his head to the side with a brow raised. "Well, that'll work, I guess." He glanced around, then gestured with his hands to encompass the clearing. "Right here? Right now? It's a little chilly out. Wouldn't want you to get the wrong impression."

She gave him a coy smirk and turned, caressing his cheek with her tail as she did so and giving a slight flap of her wings to waft her pheromones in his direction. Despite knowing that it was a rather futile gesture, it came instinctively now that she had decided to mate with him. "I assure you that you shall find it warm enough in my embrace. Do you have any further complaints, or shall we seal our bargain?"

He shook his head, and she flopped onto her side once more before rolling onto her back, splaying her hind legs to display the pinkened scales between her legs once more. He gulped, seeming nervous and uncomfortable, but moved to straddle her tail while undoing his pants. She curled the long, prehensile appendage up to encircle his waist, pulling him closer so that his thighs pressed against hers, and he flailed momentarily at the sudden forced motion before regaining his balance.

"Uh... you, uh... you should probably know," he stammered. "I'm, uh... I'm not exactly... experienced with this kind of thing."

"Nor I," Revakulgr admitted, becoming slightly irritated though she attempted to keep her tone reassuring. "I am, however, familiar with the general process and can guide you somewhat."

"Oh... Uh, yeah, I think I can handle the basics. It'd be good to know if there's, like, anything special I should be doing to make it nice for you, though."

"Just allow your instincts to guide you."

The dragoness was already following her own advice, wriggling gently against the grass with her wings half unfurled. The scales of her throat itched, and she reached up to scratch them, dragging her talons against them in long strokes. It did not feel quite enough, but it sent shivers down her spine that made her hind claws clench. She felt him pulling apart the scaled flesh of her vent, felt the cool night air caress her inner folds, and arched with a soft mewl. She wondered why she had never given into the demands of her heat before; she felt sensual, desirable, and needy, desirous of the touch of another, and she received it. She felt his the relatively small digits of his hand trace against her inner flesh, pulling another soft mewl from her at the touch, her tail tightening its grip about his waist. He let out a soft grunt, and the dragoness remembered that he was rather more fragile than she. It took a conscious effort, but she loosened her grip and felt him slither against the underscales of the appendage. She glanced down at him with a disappointed whine only to find his hands pressing against her inner thighs and his face buried between her legs.

Her head wrenched back to dig her horns against the ground, electric pleasure jolting through her. She had never been so aware of the folds and crevices that her sex contained, but he was making her so. He explored her nooks and crannies with his lips and tongue, and sometimes his teeth, finding the tender bud at the peak of her cleft, the entrance at its base, the tender petals that lay between the outer lips. She mewled and whimpered, wiggling against the earth, wishing to give herself over to the sensations but trying to maintain control of her tail so as not to crush him with it. Then one of his hands slid down her inner thigh, and she felt his fingers drive into her, making her arch and give out a soft roar, all four claws clenching so that her talons bit into palms and soles. It was not enough, not nearly enough, but her body craved it, craved something inside of her, something that thrust as his fingers did, something that would complete the circuit that tingled its way up from her loins to her hindbrain and back.

When his fingers curled inside of her to drag against a terribly sensitive spot that she hadn't even known existed, she bucked him off of her, rolling her tail to toss him to the ground, then thrashed her way over onto all fours once more. She thrust her hind end upwards, tail arched upwards and to the side, wings mantled. If not for the fact that her head was cast back over her shoulder, it would have been preparation to pounce, but instead it was a demand that she made of him. He was picking himself up from the grass, far too slowly for her liking, and she rumbled a threatening growl, kneading and tearing at the earth with her hindclaws. He seemed to get the message and sidled up behind her, grasping her hips and pressing downward. She allowed him to guide her, lowering herself and felt his maleness brush against her. It made her gasp and clench, every muscle in her body locking and bracing her for the inevitable harsh thrust that would sheath him inside of her, though that particular instinct was denied. Instead, he sought out her entrance with his tip and pressed into her gently. Her tail lashed, seeking to twine around the dragon atop her but found nothing to latch onto, and the human wrapped an arm around its base to try and still it.

She faced away from him, clenching and unclenching her foreclaws in the soft, aromatic earth, the scales along the back of her neck itching for fangs to graze them, but that was not to be. She felt him begin to thrust, though, and that was wholly satisfying despite not reaching nearly as deeply as her body desired. Stil, feeling the motion sawing through her entrance, the lubricated friction against her tingling nerves, the trickle of her nectar trailing down the insides of her hind limbs, feeling the smack of his hips against her own and smelling the spreading scent of her own arousal drove the hot needfulness to a boil, scalding her womb as it prepared to house her first clutch. Her entrance clutched at him, milking at the few meager inches that he fed her, and she caught a glimmer of movement from the corner of her eye. Her head snapped towards it, hissing at the night and daring anything to interrupt her mating, and found a curious creature approaching with a deep, rumbling purr.

It was feline, its main form a dark gold that was nearly black with rosettes across its body that alternated between a pale rose and a deep crimson, smokey wisps trailing from it as they had from Dakota. Nephila clung atop its head, and Revakulgr took that to mean that this was a friendly being, though it still annoyed her to have her intimacy intruded upon. At least until it nuzzled itself beneath her chin, grazing at her throat with sharp fangs and sending a sharp streamer of greater heat through her. It shot directly to her groin, and her tail lashed itself around the human, pulling him tight to her hindquarters, her hips grinding against him with demanding vigor, humping against him as she let out a lusty whimper. The feline stroked its body against her throat and slipped beneath, trailing wanton fire through her scales. She felt it blossom in her womb, an inferno that required quenching, then a rough tongue brushed across her nethers, the prickly, abrasive drag across her tender bud sending her soaring over the edge of bliss. She roared out her climax, wings spread wide, tail releasing the human to curl over her back, its tip nearly meeting her upthrust snout, and felt the soothing hot coolness spurting into her. It seeped into her quivering, clenching tunnel, feeding towards her egg chamber, easing the aching need that filled her.

When the spasms had finally passed, she collapsed onto her side, sides heaving in heavy pants, her breath misting the air. She felt another caress at her groin and lifted a hind limb to bat it away, but the feline creature insistently nuzzled its head between her limbs to lap at her nethers. She was left to whimper and twitch, overly sensitive, with the rough caresses sparking almost painful sparks of pleasure until it felt she was clean enough and moved to curl up against her throat. The human merely sat on the grass, his arms propping him up as he leaned back to stare up at the stars, his expression blissful.

"Nahuel," came a soft purr-growl from the felinoid by way of introduction as it began grooming at her cheeks and chin.

"Revakulgr," she returned, "and the human is Aziel."

"Your kind have not come to this realm for long aeons. You bring strong magics with you, and strong passions. I am most pleased. I give you the blessing of a large, healthy litter and the strength to defend and raise them."

The dragoness did not know how to respond to that and so remained silent, though she glanced back along her body when she felt small paws scampering across her scales. Nephila scampered along her, trailing a silvered thread that led back to the feline, and paused momentarily to scrabble at the dragon's chest over her heart. Then she scampered onwards with the thread now attached to Revakulgr as well. The dragoness watched with interest as the mouse leapt to the human and did likewise, connecting all three of them, then scurried back to the feline to complete the loop. It was a much brighter, stronger stream of energy than that which connected Dakota to the human, and she could feel a minute flow of power through it. She decided to use it, or at least the tenuous conduit that led to the human, concentrating on the components that would bind them together with the mixture of their mingled sexual fluids as the binding material. The thread flashed brighter, thickening, and the human gasped. A hand clutched at his chest as the spell ignited, then looked at her afterwards with wonder.

"It's done, huh?" he asked, unsure. "You're... my companion now? My friend?"

Revakulgr nodded. "Yes. And you are mine."

"Oh... good. That was... intense." He blinked, looking between the feline and the dragon, then tilted his head to one side, squinting. "Did your chest always glow like that?"

She looked at herself, curious as to what he meant, then realized that it was the glow of her magic that he saw. She had long since learned to filter it from her vision when using the true sight. Now she released that restriction, seeing it engulf her barrel, a powerful shine compared to anything else in this realm, though relatively dim compared to most other dragons. Nahuel had a dim rose-hued energy about it that clung just beyond its semi-physical form, and she now saw a small glimmer within the human as well. Somehow, perhaps through the connection woven by Nephila or by the surge of power from the dragon's spell, a spark of magical power had ignited within him.

"Yes, it has," she admitted, "and yours does as well, now. The spark of magic has ignited within you, and I can train you to harness it. Be warned, though, that it will attract more of the shadow beasts, and most likely the others as well. However, once trained, you shall be able to protect yourself from them."

"So... what, I'm like... the sorcerer's apprentice now?" He pawed at his chest, as if trying to wipe away the glow, but it continued to shine weakly beside his heart. "Is it dangerous? Is it gonna, like, go crazy and start making things happen if I don't get training? Will it kill me?"

"Mmmm, not... precisely that. You can accidentally cast spells without training, but it tends to be more personal enhancement than anything else: greater strength or stamina, pheromones that make you more attractive, seeing in the dark... virility. It is an inherent part of your being now, though it is weak enough that I could easily snuff it out, should you so desire. With study and practice, however, it will grow. The most powerful of magic users can transform themselves entirely, scry great distances, and some have been known to bend even time itself to their will. It was a summoner of your kind, of this realm, that brought me here. It seems that the barriers between worlds are weaker in your dimension, and we might find it possible to summon other beings should we so desire. I know the rituals necessary, thanks to my own benefactor, so it may be that we could bend the very reality of this realm in time.

"If, however, you do choose to pursue your training, there is a point of danger. You can learn a very little and then leave it be. After a certain point, the first true spells learned, you must continue until you have gained at least a basic mastery. You will be tempted to experiment and in that experimentation will inevitably come to harm unless you have a guide through the forms. You risk stumbling upon a combination that requires more power than you possess which will drain you of life. You could find a transformative combination that you cannot reverse. Or accidentally invert yourself. My idiot brother did that once, though he survived the experience thanks to my mother's intervention, more's the pity. So, you see, we will need an additional pact. Experimentation is encouraged, but only once you have gained sufficient knowledge to do no unintentional harm, to either yourself or others. You would need to submit yourself, at least insofar as magical tutelage is concerned, to me for the duration of your initial training, if nothing more."

"Uh.... huh..." He nodded slowly, perhaps disbelieving or perhaps merely stunned by the revelation. "I'll... have to think about that. Um... How do I turn it off? You're really bright."

"Ah, that would require... some experimentation, unfortunately. It requires the true sight to see the spark of magic, though there are simpler detection spells that allow one to feel it without going quite so far. It requires the true sight, as well, to see your... companions and stalkers, shall we say. I have never come across one who has a seemingly permanent version of the spell, and it would require study to suppress it. You may be able to learn how to filter the sight, as I usually do, but it is an application of scrying." She partially mantled her wings and ducked her head slightly, an expression equivalent to the human shrug. "You may need to cross the barrier of learning in order to do so, though you should not find it overly problematic on the whole. It would seem to be a very rare individual who has any magic at all, though there are undoubtedly others, like yourself, who have the propensity."

"This... this is a lot more complicated than I'm able to deal with right now... And I think I need some more to drink..." Aziel retrieved his bottle and guzzled down a few long swallows. "Okay, so... well, what about the whole companion part? Are we just friends, or fuckbuddies, or what? Do I get to ride you? I'm guessing that I don't have to train you."

She let out a derisive snort at his suggestion of training her, though she he would be providing her with further guidance and knowledge of this world. "In a manner of speaking, you will need to train me somewhat. I need to understand more of the human form so that I can assume it, and I will need help in dealing with human affairs so that I may accrue power here. Power aside from magical, so far as I have been able to determine, is governed by either political acumen, which I neither possess nor desire, or currency. I have been attempting to stockpile it in electronic fashion through the transmutation of metals and gems considered precious by your kind, but you may know of other, swifter means to do so."

She gave him a coy flutter of her eyelids and a smirk as she considered his other inquiries. "As for riding me... did you not just? I think that would qualify us as more than friends, at the least, though I would not call us mates. While quite spectacular, you were not able to pierce my egg chamber and breed me properly, so you would not be able to press a claim. Of course, there are spells..."

His eyes grew wide and he began stammering incomprehensibly, which set her to giggling. She gave his hair an affectionate nibble then righted herself and resumed her normal size, offering him a forelimb to climb so that he could sit atop her shoulders as the kobolds did. He was a bit larger than they but not by much and should cause her no trouble.

"If you would like another ride, please mount me at your leisure," she offered, and he covered his face with his hands for a few moments, likely hiding a blush.

Then he heaved himself up, gathered his belongings, and gripped at her scales to climb, settling himself at the base of her neck. "Are you always such a tease? And where are we going, exactly? I didn't think there were any caves or whatever around here."

"Not always, no. I have not found caverns here, either, though I have not explored the land in its entirety. I dwell in a cabin... Or... well, I dwell behind the cabin, though it is useful as both a landmark and a place to house things that require protection, such as electronic devices. I have been teaching myself about your realm through the use of the internet."

"Whoa!"

The human gasped as she launched herself upwards, clinging tightly to her neck. She maintained a minor adhesion spell to ensure Moxthurirl never lost his grip, though, and so he was safe from falling. He yelled something else as she winged her way just above the treetops towards the home she shared with her enthralled vassal and kobold attendants, but the wind stole his words. It was a short enough flight that she did not bother to try and capture them and landed less than a minute later in the clearing surrounding the wooden structure. She had spelled a brace of trees, bending them into a shelter for herself and Alex, creating a cathedral-esque interior of living wood with the earth hollowed out into a bowl beneath. She gently encouraged the human down from his perch, then padded towards the house with a trill that summoned the smaller dragonoids.

"Uh... I thought you said you were a virgin?" Aziel said, half questioning, and she let out another snort.

"This one is Moxthurirl, and this is his mate, Axel," she introduced. The kobolds nuzzled against her forelimbs in greeting then moved inquisitively towards the human, sniffing curiously. "They are my kobolds. They are not true dragons, but they are of similar descent far back in our evolution, in the same manner as humans and some other primates."

"Oh... Doooo they bite?" He had his arms held up out of lunging range and looked ready to run as they sniffed along his legs, but her scent on him had them swiftly nuzzling at his waist while hugging his lower limbs. "Oh. Uh... guess they like me."

"Yes, and they will also obey any commands you choose to give them, to an extent."

"Oh... kay..." He lowered his hands to gently pet the kobolds, which they enjoyed, then gently pushed them away before heading over to the modernized log cabin. "So, can I crash here tonight? I promise to make breakfast in the morning."

"Crash?"

"Uh... sleep. I'm a good bit drunk, a little high, and a lot overwhelmed."

"Ah, yes, certainly. Moxty and Axel have made their nest in the living room by the fireplace, so both of the bedrooms should be available. Please, feel free to make yourself comfortable, though I doubt you would be capable of preparing a meal for a dragon. I eat rather more than you do. I am well enough able to feed myself, though. Perhaps I can make breakfast for you instead."

He leaned against the open door, looking at her for a moment, then laughed and shook his head. "I guess that's fair enough. It's your place, after all. Okay. I'm... gonna pass out. Catch you tomorrow, and... thanks."

The dragoness blinked, unsure of what he was thanking her for, but it was only polite to reply with, "You are most welcome, Aziel."

The kobolds followed him inside, and he shut the door, leaving the dragon alone outside the house. He was a very peculiar and interesting human, and she looked forward to their working relationship. She hoped that he would choose to pursue his newly-sparked magical ability. It would be interesting to be in the position of mentor rather than student. She also wondered if he would even be able to learn magic as she had, though she also had Axel's memories to instruct him. All that would be for the future, though. For now, it would be rather good to sleep, so she moved beneath the shelter that she shared with Alex and curled up against the female green. She was awoken what seemed to be only moments later from a very pleasant dream of being furiously rutted by a large, raven-scaled male dragon by someone violently shaking her shoulders. She blinked up to find the early morning rays just barely penetrating the entranceway and Alex looking rather frantic.

"Whazit?" she demanded grumpily, quite groggy.

"There's someone here!" her mate hissed urgently. "He's inside the house! I don't know if he's seen the kobolds, but he must have. I poked my head in to ask Moxty about something, and he was in the kitchen cooking. Maybe he's homeless or something. What do we do in a situation like this?" The smaller green-scaled female paused, giving it a moment of consideration. "Do we eat him? I feel like that's a dragon thing to do at a time like this."

"Wha? Nyooooooooo..." The black dragoness yawned widely and stretched, clawing at the earthen floor of their nest, then tried to shake off the remaining sleep that clung to her. "No, we do not eat him. It is impolite to eat friends, not to mention disrespectful."

"Friends? Since when do you have human friends? How do you have human friends? I thought that was what you needed me for."

Revakulgr grumpily shouldered her way out of the enclosure and padded over to the house. She rather despised early risers, and Alex was one of them. Usually the former police officer would leave her to rest, but this assumed emergency was understandably an exception. It seemed that Aziel might also be one, which would be rather frustrating. She poked her head through the now-open back door, barely able to fit, and craned her neck to see the human male. He was using the stove to cook and was in the middle of taking a drink from his bottle when she startled him by speaking.

"I thought I was going to be the one making breakfast," she said, then had to snort laughter when he spun towards her while spitting out his mouthful. "When you are quite done showering yourself with alcohol, please step outside. You need to meet someone else."

She paced back and waited the few moments it took for him to exit the building, then gestured to the green. "This is Alex, whom I have claimed as a mate. Alex, this is Aziel, my bound companion. He has the spark of magic and may become my apprentice. Until he decides such, simply consider him a friend."

"Bound companion? Why didn't you turn him into a girl dragon?" Alex complained bitterly.

"It was more pleasant to mate with him in his current form."

"What? What? Oh. Oh, great. Faaaantastic. I get a belly full of eggs, and he gets to fill you with some. Juuuuust great."

"Alex, please go back to the nest and remain there until you can restrain your sarcasm and temper." The green huffed and glared at her for a moment before stomping towards the grown shelter, and Revakulgr turned her attention to Aziel. "Alex was formerly human, and her wish at that time was to have my greatest treasure. I was not possessed of gold or gems or magical items at that time, but I did have my virginity to offer. I gave it to her. In a male form."

He blinked up at her for several long moments before shaking his head. "So... Y'know, sure, whatever. Please don't do that to me? Or at least ask first, and I'd like to go back to being human after? I woke up and had to piss, and then I realized I was hungry, so I wanted to eat something. You can still make me something after I eat and wake up again, but I'm just gonna shove this stuff down my throat and pass back out. If that's okay?"

"Yes!" she agreed emphatically, nodding her head. "I would appreciate several more hours of sleep as well."

"Okay, well, see ya... whenever."

He wandered back into the house, and she returned to the tree-canopied nest. Alex was still upset with her, and glared, so she nibbled at the green's neck in a comforting manner. "He merely asked for a companion, one in whom he could confide that would not judge him, so I provided that and sealed the bargain with life fluid other than blood as it was more pleasant. I am doubtful that he sired a clutch. He will be able to move in the human world as neither of us currently can, and he is bound to aid me the same as you are."

"Fine," Alex huffed. "Whatever. Can I go back outside if I promise not to eat him?"

She nodded, so the green left, still obviously unhappy, but the dragoness just lay her head back down. That worry could be sorted out when she had more sleep. With a huff of her own, she sought the embrace of unconsciousness and hoped to recapture her earlier dream.
