SEASON 2, EPISODE 5: LOVE AND SACRIFICE

Some time later, Reirei wakes Kion up.

Reirei: Kion. Honey. Time to go.

Kion: *wakes up* Huh?

Reirei: I need your help to call the pack. We gotta go now. We need to leave.

Kion: Ok. I'll help.

Kion calls some jackals, Reirei calls others. After a while almost all jackals are reunited, ready to go. But Kion realizes Reirei isn't there yet.

Kion: Reirei! Where are you?

Finally she appears running with a worried face.

Reirei: Kion! We have a problem.

Kion: What's wrong?

Reirei: It's Kijana. She's not here.

Kion: What!?

Reirei: She's not in the den and I can't find her anywhere. I think... I think she ran away.

Kion: She probably went to the Tree.

Reirei: But... *more worried* Scar is there.

Kion: *worried* I know.

Reirei: We need to do something.

Kion: Like what?

Maalum (Scar): You don't need to do anything. *appears with an evil smile*

Reirei: *super worried* Oh no.

Kion: Scar!?

All jackals are scared. They know he has the Roar.

Scar: Now. Kion. You better come with me and Kijana to the Tree. If you refuse, I will kill these jackals right now with my Roar. If you try something, I'll kill them too.

Scar: Perfect. Kijana. Guide your old friend to the Tree. I walk behind him, in case he tries to do something. Oh. And Reirei. Your daughter will be a better queen for me than you.

Reirei: Kijana. Please. Come back. I'm your mother.

Kijana: *serious and upset* I don't have a mother.

Reirei stays crying.

Kijana: *to Kion* Follow me.

Kion: *sighs* Whatever...

Kion looks behind and he can see Reirei laid on the ground, totally sad, crying a lot. She believes she lost him and Kijana forever.

Kion: I thought I trusted you, Kijana. But it's clear that I don't. You turn your back on me? You should have listened to your mom and I.

Kijana keeps walking in silence, but now she can't stop thinking about what Kion said.

They walk into the tree.

Kijana: Ok. *walks to the exit, but first looks at Kion*

Scar's ready to scratch Kion's face, but he's kicked against the wall by Kijana.

Scar: Aaaah!

Kijana: *unties Kion* Kion. You gotta go.

Kion: I can't move... too... much... Aaaah! ...pain.

Kijana: I can't go with you. I need to stop Scar.

Scar: You bitch. *preparing to attack Kijana*

They all leave the Tree Of Life, Kion on Dogo's back, walking side by side with Reirei.

After a while, they're in the passage and they hear Maalum (Scar) screaming.

Scar: KIIIIIOOOOOONN!!!

Dogo: I think he found you left the kingdom.

Kion: RUN!!

Reirei: Don't worry. He doesn't come outside. He still wants to rule the Tree Of Life.

Kion: You sure, Reirei?

Reirei: I'm totally sure. *nuzzles him*

Kion nuzzles back. They all go to a cave because a storm is starting. Inside the cave, Dogo lays Kion down, carefully.

Dogo: There. You're comfortable?

Kion: Yes. Thanks.

Dogo: It's ok. You know? I still miss my father Goigoi, but... I never saw my mom so happy like she is with you. It will be an honor to call you dad. *smiling*

Kion: *smiles and tears up* That's all I want... son.

Dogo nuzzles Kion and he nuzzles back.

Reirei: *appears* Dogo. Can I talk with Kion?

Dogo: Sure. Take care, dad.

Kion: Same to you, my son. *smiles*

Dogo leaves.

Reirei: *surprised* Wow. It seems like Dogo accepted you very well.

Kion: He sure did.

Reirei: I'm glad to hear that. *now serious* Kion. When we found you, well... You said something about Kijana. You know if she's okay? You helped her to leave Scar?

Kion: She helped me escape Scar, then they started fighting, and when I walked outside I heard her screaming...

Reirei: *getting up, mad face and serious* Tomorrow we're gonna kill him.

Kion: Remember, if we kill Scar, we kill Maalum.

Reirei: *really mad* He killed Kijana. He almost killed you! He has to pay!

Reirei: We need to do something, Kion.

After some time, they all fall asleep. Kinda. Reirei can't sleep well. In the morning, Kion is awakened by a jackal who was already outside the cave, now in a day of sun.

Jackal: *runs into the cave* Reirei! Kion!

Reirei looks at Kion, confused.

Kion: Okay, but I can't move too fast.

Dogo: I'll take you. *puts him on his back*

Kion nuzzles the back of his neck. Dogo wags his tail with joy.

The jackal guides them to the entrance of the Tree Of Life, where they can see the Night Pride, the Lion Guard, Vitani's Guard, all hyenas and Kovu. They're all waiting to walk into the lands.

Kion: Guys?! You're back!?

A lot of Kion's friends walk to him and see he's hurted.

Baliyo: Kion. What happened?

Fuli: Oh no. It was Scar?

Kion: Yes. It was Scar. Kijana sacrificed her life for me. She's dead because of me. *starts crying*

Reirei also starts crying and nuzzles Kion. Kion nuzzles back.

Baliyo: No. She was a good friend. *crying*

Fuli: *smiling* Don't worry, Kion. You still can save Maalum.

Kion: You think so, Fuli?

Fuli: I am sure.

Vitani appears.

Kion: Vitani!

Vitani: *nuzzles him* I missed you, Kion.

Kion: *nuzzles back* Missed you too.

Vitani: I see you're hurt. Don't worry. I'm here now and I won't let Scar hurt you anymore.

Kion: Thanks.

Jasiri: I'm here too.

Janja: We're all here.

Kion: Jasiri? You're helping me even after the fight?

Jasiri: Yeah. I'm sorry, Kion. I should've known that Maalum would never do that kind of thing. You think you can forgive me?

Kion: It'll take some time.

Kion smiles back.

Rani: Kion. Nice to see you again.

Rani: We go all together trying to intimidate Scar. If that doesn't work, Vitani will fight against him, using the Roar. Maalum will be hurt, but Scar will leave his body.

Kion: That sounds like a good plan, but will it work?

Vitani: We're not sure, but we have to try.

Kion: As long as we try.

Rani: We're doing this for the good of everyone. But, most important, we do this for Maalum.

Everyone: FOR MAALUM!

Kion: For Maalum. *a little tear of joy and hope*

Reirei: And we jackals will do it also for Kijana.

Jackals: FOR KIJANA!

Rani: Ok. So: for Maalum and Kijana!

Everyone: FOR MAALUM AND KIJANA!

Kion: Yes. For Maalum and Kijana. *now a little serious*

Vitani: Kion. You're hurt. You still want to go with us?

Kion: No. I know that you all can handle it. I need to rest.

Rani: This is about Maalum. I think you should go. Just... Keep yourself away from the action.

Kion: Ok. I want Dogo to stay with me. Just to keep me company.

Rani: Ok. Let's call everyone and let's kick Scar out of the Tree Of Life forever!

They all go to the Tree Of Life.

Outside the Tree, Rani calls:

Rani: SCAR!!!

Scar: *walks out of the Tree* Who the fuck is calling me like that?! *sees them all and gets surprised* What the...?! What are you doing here?! Go away! All of you!

Rani: We will not leave!

Scar: *growls* I won't ask you again. LEAVE!

Rani: NEVER!

A lot of animals walk close to Rani, facing the hybrid.

Janja: This time I won't do what you want, Scar.

Jasiri: Leave Maalum's body now!

Scar: Never! I'm the king now and I'm warning you: go away and never return. Or I will use my Roar against you.

Vitani: We are staying!

Scar: Ok. You're asking for this. *ready to roar*

Jasiri: Rani. Go to Kion and Dogo. Stay away from this.

Rani: Ok, Jasiri.

Vitani gets ready to roar too. The others hide behind Vitani.

Scar: You can't do anything against me! *big Roar*

Vitani roars too, but her Roar is stronger than his. Maalum (Scar) keeps roaring. The Roars are pushing each other. The others just look at that, their mouths wide open. Rani's shocked.

Dogo: *surprised* You're seeing this, dad?

Kion: Yes. And it looks like Vitani's winning.

Scar's starting to feel weak and his Roar starts failing. Vitani's Roar remains strong. The possessed hybrid can't keep his Roar working, so he just stops and Vitani's Roar pushes him hard against the Tree Of Life.

Scar: Aaaaah! *screaming with pain*

Vitani stops roaring.

Scar: You're strong. *smiling*

Vitani: Yes, I'm very strong.

Vitani walks close to him, trying to convince Scar to leave Maalum's body.

Vitani: Leave Maalum's body. NOW!

Scar: Hahaha. You think you can come here, roar to me and I just give up? I don't think so. Besides, I don't need the Roar to win. I can do... this! *pins her down, starting to hit her face*

Vitani kicks him off.

Scar: You all can't do nothing. I can kill you. I can kill you all like I killed that miserable jackal. *angry*

Reirei: *hearing that* Now I will kill you!

She starts running totally mad, only thinking about killing him. Kion sees that and, even if he can't walk well, he goes after her, trying to stop her.

Kion: Reirei! STOP!!

Reirei can't hear him. She just wants revenge.

Reirei: I'll kill you! *crying*

Scar just smiles at her, staying there quiet.

Kion: REIREI!

Reirei pins the hybrid down, starting to scratch his body and biting him.

Reirei: You killed my daughter! *crying hard*

Even with the pain, Maalum (Scar) keeps smiling. Vitani decides to stop Reirei.

Vitani: Reirei! *pushes her off* I know that you're very angry and want to kill Scar, but you're also killing Maalum.

Reirei: *still crying a lot* I just want my daughter back.

Vitani: But you can't. Kijana may be gone, but she's always with you. Spiritually.

Kion: She's right, Reirei.

Reirei hugs Kion, still crying. Kion hugs back.

Scar: Hahahaha. *happy, even being weak* That's it. That's the only way I can leave this body. You have to kill us.

Rani: *calling Kion* Psssst. Kion. Come here.

Kion: *walks over to her* Yes?

Rani: Kion. Listen. I know you're weak and Scar is dangerous, but he's also weak right now. I think he can't use the Roar. What I'm trying to say is that now it's your chance.

Scar is feeling something weird. There is a force trying to kick him out of Maalum's body.

Scar: No. No! Stop that!

But Scar is still there. Maalum still cannot control his body. He needs something else. Kion walks closer to the hybrid and kisses him passionately. Maalum is almost there, but Scar is trying to push Kion off. Kion hugs him tight, still kissing passionately. Finally, Kion feels Maalum's body stopping and his paws hugging his neck. Kion also feels the hybrid kissing him back. Scar is gone. Now Maalum has total control over his body and mind.

Kion: *breaking the kiss* Maalum?

Kion sees his orange brown eyes and he's smiling at him with love. Kion starts smiling big.

Maalum: Thank you, Kion. *smiling completely in love and super happy*

Kion: You're welcome, my love.

Now Maalum kisses Kion and hugs him.

Kion: *kisses back* Mmmmm...

Maalum: *sharing tongue, rubbing his back* Mmmmm...

Kion does the same.

Maalum: *Breaking the kiss* Ahhh. Why do I feel so much pain? *notices all animals around them* And why are they all here?

Kion: I have a lot of explaining to do.

Maalum: Aaah. I feel so much pain I... I need help. *tries to get up, but falls* I can't walk right.

Kion: *calling* Nirmala! Makini!

Only Nirmala appears. Makini's disappeared for some days.

Nirmala: I'm here. You two will need the powers of the Tree Of Life.

Kion: Asante, Nirmala.

Nirmala: I'll take you. *puts Maalum on her back, carefully*

Vitani: And I'll take you.

Vitani's very strong, so she can take Kion there easily.

Maalum: Asante, Nirmala.

Kion: Thanks, Vitani.

Rani: *to everyone* Thank you everybody for your help. Finally Scar was defeated. Now you can go to your places. Kion and Maalum need some privacy now.

All animals go away, except Rani who goes with Kion, Maalum, Vitani and Nirmala.

Inside the Tree, Vitani lays Kion carefully on the rock so Nirmala can heal him.

Nirmala: Ready?

Kion: I'm ready.

Nirmala: *uses the energy of the Tree to heal him* There. Now you just need some rest and tomorrow you'll be better.

Kion: *smiles* Thanks, Nirmala.

She does the same with Maalum. He needs the same as Kion. After a while, they can hear a sound coming from the place where Makini usually stays to paint.

Kion: Who's there?

Sound: Mmm mmm mm mm...

Rani: Let me see who is.

Kion: Go ahead, Rani.

Rani goes there and finds Makini. She's completely tied and she has a big rock on her mouth.

Rani: *shocked* Hevi Kabisa!

Kion: What's wrong?

Rani unties Makini.

Makini: Thank you, Queen Rani. I'm glad you came back. Scar tied me here and... *sees Maalum* Kion! Watch out!

Kion: Shwari, Makini. Scar's gone. That's Maalum.

Makini: You sure about that?!

Kion: Yeah.

After a while, Kion and Maalum are walking together.

Maalum: Kion. I... I need to tell you something.

Maalum: I want you to know what happened to me. *sad*

Kion: What happened?

Maalum: One night, when Scar was controlling me, I... I fucked Reirei in your own den. Our den. I found about that and I tried to kill myself so I can't hurt you anymore.

Kion: I know about you fucking Reirei, but you couldn't control it. It was all Scar.

Maalum: But what Scar did after that day was totally my fault. Because I made a deal with him. *feeling ashamed*

Kion hugs Maalum.

Maalum: He said he wouldn't hurt you if I left him to totally control me.

Kion: And after that you...

Kion recaps everything Maalum did, except for him killing Kijana.

Maalum: No, no, no, no, no! *crying, feeling ashamed, sad and mad, also feeling guilty* I failed you, Kion. I made a deal with your enemy and... I almost killed you.

Kion: You didn't fail me, Maalum. Like I said, you couldn't control it because of Scar. I still love you and I can't wait to marry you. *smiling*

Maalum: I still love you too and I also can't wait to marry you. *smiling, then serious again* But when Scar was totally controlling me, I felt weird. I can't remember anything. I just saw everything black and... cold. But then I started hearing your voice, saying how much you love me and... I followed your voice and... I'm here now. *smiling again* You saved me with your love. That's why I love you now more than ever. I could be dead right now if you didn't save me. You're always here for me. No one ever did so much for me like what you have done.

Kion nuzzles him.

Maalum: *purrs and nuzzles back* I love you more than I love myself, you know?

Kion: I know.

Maalum: Let's go to our den.

Kion: You go right ahead. I need to talk to someone first. *smiles*

Maalum: Ok. I'll be waiting for you, my love. *kisses him*

Kion kisses back.

Maalum: See you soon.

Kion: See you soon.

Maalum walks away and Kion can't stop looking at his ass.

Kion: *thinking* I want that ass tonight~ *leaves*

After a while, Kion starts walking into the farm.

Dogo: *sees him coming* Kion! Dad! *worried* I'm glad you're here. You need to talk with mom.

Kion: What's going on with her?

Dogo: She's been hidden in her den, doesn't talk to anyone and she's always crying. I don't know what to do.

She starts crying more.

Reirei: *hugs back* I lost her while she was mad at me. She said she hated me. *crying a lot* She said I wasn't her mother.

Kion: Remember what I told you earlier. She said that out of anger. I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for her.

Reirei: I know. But it hurts to know she died mad at me. I wished I could say sorry.

Then they see a light. It's Kijana's spirit.

Kijana: It's okay, mom.

Reirei: *surprised* K-Kijana?! It's really you?!

Kijana: Yes, mom. It's me. *smiling*

Reirei: *smiling* Kijana. *getting up* Daughter. I'm sorry. I treated you badly. I... I didn't want you to...

Kijana: I forgive you, mom. I was thinking about what Kion said to me on the way over to the tree. I saved him... for us. For our family. You're my mother and I'll always love you.

Reirei: *crying happy* Oh Kijana. We love you too. Always.

Kijana: *smiles and looks at Kion* Kion. My dad and I agreed that you have to tell Maalum.

Reirei: You think that's a good idea?

Kijana: Yes.

I still want to have a family of our own. *smiles* When you came back from the Pride Lands and when we started a serious relationship, we promised we would always be there for each other. And you said you would like to have a family with me. I just want to know if something changed after that day.

Kion: Nothing changed, Rei.

Reirei: You mean... You still want to try to have cubs with me?

Kion: Yeah. He still knows that you want to have a family with me. And he accepts it.

Reirei: That's great. Because I'm still not pregnant and... I would love to try again.

Kion smiles.

Reirei: But I want you to decide when and where.

Kion: I'll let you know.

She watches him leave with a big smile.

Outside in the farm...

Dogo: Hey, dad. Is she better?

Kion: Yeah.

Dogo: Cool. Can I talk to her now?

Kion: If you want to.

Dogo: Oh. Thanks dad. *nuzzles him*

Kion: You're welcome. *nuzzles back*

Dogo: Like I said before, you're amazing. *keeps nuzzling, wagging his tail with joy*

Kion smiles. Then Dogo goes to Reirei and Kion goes to Maalum.
