#4 of A Night She Couldn't Resist

Brooke has never been happier. She recently committed to her first genuine relationship while in her teen years, but once her boyfriend brings home a new pokémon-- a rather dominant midnight lycanroc that takes a certain liking to Brooke upon first sight, it quickly becomes a risky situation she has to make quick and constant decisions on.

Brooke opened her eyes as it turned evening. She must have fallen asleep shortly after lying in bed hours ago, which wasn't surprising after the Vix incident. She yawned and sat up.

She heard her cell phone vibrate in her pocket; when she pulled it out, she saw Parker calling her. There were three additional missed calls prior to the current spread out over the last few hours. Brooke answered and held it to her ear. "Hey."

"Sorry I called so much. You were gone when I came back, and I wondered where you went. Got a little worried. I didn't wake you, did I?"

"You're fine, Parker. I had to go early because… because I had to help my parents with something. I did just wake up, though." Brooke brought her fingers up to the marks on her neck and touched them. "Thank you for checking on me. Did you get that vulpix?"

"Not yet, but I'll try again tomorrow… Want to come this time?"

She couldn't say no twice. It wasn't like they didn't spend tons of time together as is, but she didn't want to push him away. Besides, she could use the legwork. "Kay, but text me a time so I'll know when to be ready."

"Awesome. I will. Love you."

"Love you too." Brooke dropped the call and tossed her phone aside, got up and threw her blanket over her bed, and went to the restroom. It was hard to return his joy after lying to her boyfriend.

"No self-control, Brooke… none," she mumbled while staring at the bite in the mirror. The most she could do was rub ointment on it and hope for the best. If she had to, she'd put concealer over it tomorrow. It might be nice to look at if she didn't have a boyfriend to be faithful to.

She left the restroom and looked at her bed. She couldn't stay inside for the rest of the night. Her mind needed clearing, and the Malie Garden usually did that for her. It was the best garden in Alola that lacked tourists to witness its beauty, as most visited the more sophisticated islands.

Then again, Malie Garden becoming too monetized as a grand tourist attraction would diminish its serenity. There were already tours held daily.

"Before I go..." Brooke went to her dresser and grabbed her bottle out of the drawer, shaking a pill into her hand and returning to the restroom to swallow it with water. Afterward, she put on black boots and threw on her parka before heading out, also ditching her shorts for a pair of skinny jeans.

It wasn't cold out but a genial summer night with a hint of heaviness to it. The city's location and slight elevation did well at balancing humidity in comparison to other parts of Alola.

Brooke stuffed her hands into her sweater's pockets and strolled down the pavement, heading north toward the garden's direction in the northwestern outskirts of the city. She could see its famed tall black and yellow tower from here, which symbolized the heartfelt appreciation and sacredness the city held for it.

Many people were out and more cars than usual sat in light traffic on a Friday night, including one she double-looked at since she rarely spotted them.

It was a white sedan with sirens on its roof and a green stripe along its side with bold black lettering reading 'Kiai.' Those were Alola's rangers. It was a department that enforced law and order, but there were less than twenty on Malie's force. Brooke saw them around every couple of days if that. It was busy tonight, so they were likely making their presence known.

Bars and diners in the area were packed with people winding down; others did weekend shopping at markets so they wouldn't have to leave the house again until Monday.

Brooke jaywalked between the bumpers of vehicles in lines of halted rush hour traffic after work. Road rage was also uncommon here. People tended only to beep when necessary, so the air typically went undisturbed save for the natural cries of pikipek, toucannon, and stray litten.

She worked part-time as a waitress at the Sushi High Roller herself but had the night off due to a rare break-in, and tomorrow was Saturday.

She worked night shifts every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, and the restaurant was closed on Sunday. A part of her couldn't wait for Monday, though. She kind of missed Zae, the lucario who worked there as a cleaner who Brooke was always so kind to, and how else would she get her discounted sushi fix?

Sushi hadn't always been her favorite food, but there weren't as many options in Malie when compared to Akala. It was also difficult to avoid when she worked at the most popular chain in the region, so it had grown on her.

Others stood outside their homes in the humid climate with their pokémon; several greeted Brooke as she passed, which she returned half-heartedly. She knew many but couldn't relate to most here. Their lifestyle was different, and the majority were from a different generation. This city had a number of alcoholics too, because what more was there to do here, especially when one was retired?

Brooke glanced at people who knew each other around the city waving or calling after one another, with some stopping to engage in short conversations on the sidewalk. She saw that a lot. Small damn city.

"Oh!" She stopped abruptly and nearly tripped after a child and two mincinno ran in front of her. She forgot she had to look out for that sometimes. Brooke was fine with kids but couldn't imagine having one. Her hair would fall out in weeks. Her parents had always pressed for one as she got older, but she'd be more than okay with Parker and maybe a pokémon of her own.

Her childhood had been somewhat decent. She'd grown up in a lower-middle-class area east in Heahea, close to its main strip. Her school wasn't considered the best, nor were the kids attending, all looked down upon by the higher-income parts of Heahea.

Brooke turned out well, though. She just wished her parents were more proactive and had cared more about her whereabouts and actions. She was smart enough not to do more than drink starting at early fifteen, but she'd also had sexual relationships with close to fifteen people from that age to late sixteen.

She'd come home after ten at night or later often, sometimes tipsy or worse, and the most she would get were scoldings and groundings from her parents. They'd cared for her otherwise, gave her good birthday and holiday experiences, presents and all. They'd given her good memories to look back on, although they'd often neglected her in the love department and overall let her do her own thing.

Other than that, Brooke had never had a void to fill as far as she knew. She'd likely followed the culture and behavior surrounding her within the inner city and her area; it had likely played a role in her finding pokémon sexually desirable on top of her spending half her existence volunteering at a daycare. She would have fucked anything back then.

Brooke had sunken into degeneracy entirely, only using protection off and on, so she was extremely luck not to have gotten pregnant. She now took birth control daily to prevent such.

It had been fun at the time—empty and unfulfilling after the fact, but fun. It'd still be fun, actually. Brooke enjoyed the idea of chasing that excitement and endless pleasure to this day. It sometimes ached to be without a fresh experience, but it was behind her now, which had to be the best part of her relocation to Malie. It had forced her from that lifestyle and had given her time to reevaluate. It had also allowed her to form a true and loyal connection with Parker. She had been his second.

This one felt different and deeper from the rest. The devotion warmed her; Brooke had a feeling that she and Parker would be long-term, and she overall felt happier this way. This was exactly why what she'd done with Vix continued to weigh on her. Malie was supposed to have been a fresh start, the ticket out of her past, and that it had been, her key to a gentle existence and mind. What was it now?

As she kept walking, Brooke saw a smeargle holding its tail while standing outside a small bakery that she went to sometimes. She stopped before passing it. "Hey, Vali." She reached and patted his nose.

"Smer." He waved up at her and looked back into the store, then ran inside and disappeared from view.

"Uh, no–" half of her wanted to walk away. "I told him to stop doing this." Her lips wore a soft grin.

Vali returned moments later with a sugar cookie and handed it up while eyeing her, swaying his tail in his hand by moving his wrist. "Gul."

"Vali..." She took it and knelt before him. "I appreciate it, but this is how your family makes a living, you know? You can't give it away for free." She wanted to enter and pay for it but didn't want to get him in trouble. Besides, it was a gift.

He stared blankly at her.

She sighed. "Mahalo, (Thank you) Vali." Brooke stood and kept walking, taking a bite of the warm cookie while grinning at the sight of small clowders of litten and torracat between markets and scurrying about. Individual ones hung out in stores allowed by the store owners, some of which wore collars. On the bright side, the cookie's soft and chewy sweetness improved her mood.

She arrived and entered the garden in around fifteen minutes, walking west across its dirt trail littered with tropical greenery under a purple-tinted sky. The garden's extensive pond encompassed it entirely to the left of her.

Steep mountains dotted wholly in trees that trumbeak and toucannon flew over in flocks lay ahead; to the far south was a denser population of trees and where the garden's pokémon resided.

If she looked up along the rocky cliff towering over her, she'd see the tall yellow and black tower built atop the cliffside. It had been modeled to honor and resemble the Bell Tower located in Johto's Ecruteak, as the garden's layout was designed by native Johtoans who had moved to Alola alongside a couple of Alolans. The Alolan government had approved it, who had mostly outsourced an exceptional design team and had been appreciative of their work.

There was also a popular tea shop farther south in the garden past the forest of trees, visited frequently by natives and tourists alike. Brooke would go there if she enjoyed tea at any time other than when she was sick.

She continued along the trail and took a left, which soon took her to a spacious area with thick trees and shrubbery on both sides of her.

She saw a male tour guide walking a group of thirty tourists along the side of the trail. He pointed out pokémon in trees and a few peeking from the bushes, explaining the habitat, history, and more.

Out of the entire island, foreigners mostly flocked to this city, as it was sightly and had more to do in comparison. They usually rented out rooms or homes around the city for a week or so; however, it didn't match Hau'oli and Heahea, where a majority of tourists stayed.

Brooke spotted wild pokémon on the way now and again as well and waved at them occasionally. They didn't respond and usually gave her curious or nervous looks.

A few locals also traversed the garden, jogging or taking evening strolls, but no one she knew well, fortunately. She was relatively social, but the last thing Brooke wanted was to chat. Most of her co-workers were likely spending the night resting; she'd see them on Monday.

She turned right at the end of the mini forest before a small bridge overlooking the pond that led deeper into the garden. Brooke watched the trees clear and display more field covered in rich grass.

She enjoyed her job and had worked at the High Roller for nearly two years. It was where she'd met Parker while waiting tables, but it wasn't her passion. She'd been interested in pokémon from a young age despite never having owned one, always watching battles or contests on television when she wasn't at the daycare and playing with or holding her friends' pokémon.

She loved being around pokémon, and it wasn't because she seemed to have a strange fetish for them. That didn't correlate, and Brooke had no clue why she had it besides being raised around them alongside her old addictions. Her mind went wild when she saw an attractive male or any erection, but she would never exploit her job to bang a stranger's pokémon.

Shortly, she reached the end of the field and the lake extending for miles beyond. She sat in the grass, crossed her legs, watched its placid waters, and took a deep breath. Some fuzziness left her mind, along with recent thoughts and emotions.

Brooke yawned while mild breezes whisked past. She could fall asleep in such a tranquil environment. It was her favorite spot in Malie, but it would be dark soon, and she wanted to be back in bed. Who knew when she'd have to walk to Tapu Village with Parker tomorrow? Hopefully, not too early in the morning. He tended to be an early pikipek; he usually worked morning shifts at Lilo's, the biggest market in Malie.

After a peaceful hour, she left and returned home but was back to musing the moment her head hit and sunk into the pillow.

Would Brooke give in to Vix's lust if she were alone with him again? No passion was involved, so why did the thought of them fucking again turn her on so much?

She must lust over pokémon more than she'd thought. It was either that or a general yearning from being without sex as she'd once treated it fused with the former. She never realized how established this kink had been implemented; now that it was back and more active than ever, she didn't know what to do with it. It wasn't easy to tuck away and forget it again after having such an incredible first experience.
