Mortality Chapter 3
#3 of Jason Wolfe: Mortality
Chapter 3: Someone Please Think of the Children...
Day 2
Alarm bells were blaring all over the inside of Jason's skull. There was no brain in there anymore.
Just alarms.
Amongst those alarms, miniature versions of Robin with a baby bulge were dancing around in the blaring red lights singing, 'I am pregnant! I am pregnant!' Those same mini-Robins were cranking the wheels to his vocal cords, setting them up for the high-pitched girly scream that he knew was coming.
WHAM! BANG! BOOM!
_"Out! Out!"_Optimist shouted, waving two icy marlins at the mini-Robins. Pessimist was there too, kicking them and setting them alight with a flaming wok. Horndog was nowhere near them muttering something about 'boobies'
But they were just too many!
So many mini-Robins dancing around, crawling all over Jason's subconscious and filling his mind with the horrifying thought of Warren sticking his cock into that... that...
A broom suddenly swooped into the scene, sweeping up all the Robins out of Jason's head and into oblivion. Jason blinked for a moment and saw Reason holding that broom and clearing out all the countless taints in his subconscious.
What is that...?
"My Epic Broom of Ass Kicking."
Erm... that doesn't seem very relevant to you.
"Hey, you want these things out of your head or not?"
Considering how good a job Reason was doing against the mini-Robins...
Sure...
A mini-Robins appeared right next to Reason. "I'm Pregnant!"
Reason spun to the creature and slammed the head of his broom right into her face. "Broom to your face!"
Jason got control of his bodily functions again and stared Robin squarely in the eyes. "Does Warren know?" he whispered softly.
She seemed surprised he didn't have a panic attack but shook her head. "No... He doesn't... I just took the test this morning when we got your call... Considering how you have a son..."
"Sssssh!" Jason snapped, clamping her mouth with his hand.
Robin knew about Sam's true identity.
So did Warren and Jen.
It seemed the only person that didn't know was Sam... well, Sam and Todd.
Robin gave him a penetrating stare with her amethyst eyes and he pulled his hand away. She pulled a strand of her natural, silvery hair away from her face and sighed. "Jason, you should tell him."
"Like you should tell Warren you're carrying his child?"
"Ssssh!" she sneered, holding his muzzle together with her hands.
It was his turn to give her a penetrating glare and she pulled away almost instantly.
"At least I haven't been keeping my secret for two years!"
"At least my secret would pop out of me in nine months!"
Jason glanced at the rest of the party and was grateful they were all enjoying their lunch while blissfully ignoring the two 'parents'. Reason pulled up a chair from nowhere and sat on it, arms crossed and observing Jason quietly.
"Fair enough," Robin sighed. "I just needed to tell someone." She looked a little panic-stricken. "I... I just don't know what to make of this, Jason... Warren... Warren and I have feelings for one another but... A baby? It's like a high school drama!"
Considering how you missed out on that sort of stuff with your emotionless cold-hard bitch facade, it's about time you got some...
"Why are you worried? Aren't you two together?"
"By the thinnest possible definition," Robin answered grimly.
The puzzle pieces began falling into place...
"You weren't trying to have a baby... were you?"
She winced and slowly shook her head. "I'm not even sure how it happened... We're normally so careful!" Robin seized Jason's arms, her eyes wide in panic. "Jason, I'm not ready to have a child! Help!"
"What can I do?" Jason replied with a helpless shrug. "You want me to ask the No Ones if they can undo this?"
"No! The last thing I want is to be part of another No One plot." She swallowed loudly. "Jason... I don't ask this lightly but... If and when the child is born... Will you adopt it?"
...
Brain-overload.
THWACK!
Reason hit Jason hard with his Epic Broom of Ass Kicking. "No! No! Bad wolf! No brain-overloads! You're an adult now, not a pubescent teenager or hormonal college jock! Treat this head on and speak from your heart!"
But -
"Do you want_me to bring out my L33t Vacuum of Pwnage?"_
Jason winced and regarded Robin sincerely. "Robin... I don't -"
"Hold up!"_Optimist shouted, barring his view of Reason. _"Think about it! Sam is moving out and this new kid might just be the real_kid you wanted!"_
"There'd be a lot of problems,"_Pessimist murmured, crossing his arms securely. _"But it is true... You could raise this kid from the bottom up... Naturally, everything the kid does will be your fault. It won't be as well adjusted as Sam and they'll be a lot_of work..."_
"But Sam won't be working that often anyway! Sam can be the babysitter! Since he's_so wise, he can help raise the kid too!"_
Horndog sniggered evilly. "Yeah... raise him into an awesome, horny gay, cumming machine! I should tender my resignation and move over there!"
"Yeah!"_Pessimist announced."Jase doesn't need us anymore. He's perfectly reasonable now. I mean, check out Mr. Killjoy over there."_ He hiked a thumb at Reason.
Reason pulled out a book from beneath his starry cloak and began reading it absently. "Wouldn't it be funny if the child turned out to be female?"
The HOP - Horndog, Optimist and Pessimist - all exchanged horrified glances...
But they all made valid points... and Reason didn't seem to be opposed to the thought either. If... If they did adopt the child... They'd get a fresh start with a baby of their own... It won't be a wolf... and it won't be bonded to them by blood... But really...
... who needs blood...?
"Robin... Are you sure?" he asked softly. "I mean... what if Warren wants to keep it?"
She shook her head and sighed grimaced. "Jason, Warren is great... He's fantastic. I would love for him to be 'the one' but think about it... He's had sexual relations with men... He likes it. While he's had women too... I know where his preferences rest... He hasn't cheated on me or anything... but really, I wouldn't mind if he did. We're just... a casual fling."
A casual fling that's lasted over two years...
"This is an issue that you best get Warren's perspective as well,"_Reason warned. _"Don't go giving advice that will only end up hurting both parties."
"Give it some thought," he told her. "But if that's where your heart rests... Then I'm sure Brett and I wouldn't mind taking care of the kid." A small smile crossed her features. "Besides, I think Sam would love the idea of having a little brother or sister."
A shout from the picnic area made them turn. Sam was waving at them. "Hey! What happened? Are you two making out or something!?"
That brought a laugh from the group and they all quickly returned to their meals.
"Thank you, Jason," Robin sighed softly. "I'm worried about the child more than I'm worried about me and Warren... Please... Keep this between us until I'm ready."
"You have my word," Jason said solemnly.
They picked up some hotdogs - a steak for Jason - and sat down to lunch with their friends and family.
Countless thoughts were flying around in his mind... Most of them concerned building a nursery for the baby... They'd have to find a wet nurse... but that could just as easily be Robin though he honestly couldn't imagine her breastfeeding anyone. His eyes went to Warren who was blissfully drinking a few beers with Dan, laughing about his old army days and Dan's escapades as a superhero lawyer.
There was some part of him hoping that hearing about the child would spark some paternal instincts in Warren and he'd suddenly transform into Super Dad. But, at the same time, he hoped his friend wouldn't... so that he'd get the kid.
_"Isn't that a tad bit selfish?"_Reason asked.
I know... But I missed the opportunity with Sam...
I've only ever wanted three things in my life...
"Brett, a stable livelihood and a child, I know."
I have Sam but... he's more like a brother than my kid...
"And you know exactly the reason for that."
Again, back to the crushing truth... If he just told Sam the truth... that barrier between them would crumble.
They'd be together as a real father and son...
It all comes down to me and Sam...
I can't be ready to make another commitment to another child if I'm not ready to fix the one I already have...
*****
The rest of the picnic proceeded without a hitch and despite the added stress from knowing Robin's secret, Jason was quite relaxed and relieved after what had occurred the previous night with Legion. He volunteered to drive Todd home while Sam and Brett got dinner ready.
Being alone in a car with his son's boyfriend suddenly made him feel old.
"So... How'd you and Sam meet anyway?" Jason prompted.
The bear grinned a little sheepishly and rubbed his forearm. "Well... Sam's a really good guy... but he's kinda nosy. He gets into people's business a lot."
Remembering how Sam had given him that life-changing advice, Jason had to agree and chuckled softly.
"I was into some pretty dark stuff before I met him," Todd admitted, eyes cast down. "Was... going down a pretty terrible road... Sam saved me. Reached out to me when no one else would. Gave me a second chance. I figured I'd at least repay him."
That sounds like my boy...
"And you protected him from bullies when they were about to bash him for being gay and having two gay dads?"
"Four, technically," Todd corrected. "And yeah..." He bared his fangs and sneered. "These bunch of jerks are real homophobes. Can't get it into their heads that we all live in the same place, under the same stars and in the same reality. If we can't get along with one another, we'll just end up killing one another. Bastards figured they'd bash Sam just because he's living with you."
Jason had to stop himself from stepping on the brakes suddenly. "What do you mean living with me?"
"You're probably the most prominent gay figure out there," Todd replied, casting his gaze out the window. "You're the guy that saved the world from darkness... and you're gay. Most people take it that it shouldn't matter what your orientation is... but others still keep thinking that 'gays are taking over the world'."
I... I had no idea I was affecting Sam's life so badly...
"Does Sam get bullied often...?"
"No. Not since I started hanging around with him." A smile crawled onto Todd's face. "But when he did... he would always face it head on with a proud smile, like he was telling everyone he's proud to be who he was. Only made the bastards angrier..."
Jason's fingers wrapped around the steering wheel tightly, almost breaking it completely. He barely restrained himself but a soft growl was rising from his chest.
"What did the school do?"
"Kicked the assholes out," Todd answered. "But I see them now and then. They hang around outside the school waiting for Sam and some other gay guy they can bully and throw into a dumpster. They tried following Sam home once but I showed them." Todd massaged his knuckles.
Suddenly, Jason was very grateful for this brave, protective figure in Sam's life. "Thanks for looking out for him, Todd..."
But I swear, I'm going to have a talk with the principal of that school...
Todd nodded grimly. "I want to protect him, Jason. I owe him so much. I never want to see him hurt but he constantly puts himself in danger for others."
"He does?"
The bear chuckled. "It's kinda funny... he's no superhero but he acts like one. There was this one time, during his a track meet, the star runner got injured but it was his final year and he wanted to finish off with a solid win or at least run in the last race. Sam was meant to be his replacement. Sam gave him the spot. We lost the race and Sam copped heat for it.
"Then, this girl was getting harassed by a jock on the football team. Sam steps in and plays all cool and friendly with her, totally ignoring the muscle-head breathing down his neck. When the guy tries to muscle back in, he turns around and kisses him. Then he says, 'Now you're gay too'." Todd laughed and slapped his knee. "Man, you should've seen that guy run!"
Jason couldn't help but smile at the image.
"Sam has no powers... but in my book, he's a real hero. One with a big heart..."
That's true... It's Sam's heart that attracts everyone...
Like a brilliant diamond that dances with all the colours of the rainbow...
"I love Sam," Jason confirmed. "I never want any harm to come to him." He glanced at Todd from the corner of his eye. "Can you help me with that, Todd?"
"Of course, Jason."
That warmed his heart. He wasn't sure where the relationship between Sam and Todd would go but at the very least, he was sure Todd wouldn't hurt his son. "Thanks."
A frown crossed his features as the road suddenly took a slight incline, leading up into the mountains that surrounded Newroads. The path was familiar and as the tall, dark trees slowly gave way to the enormous gates of an all-too-familiar mansion, he felt his heart constrict. Big, crimson brick walls surrounded an enormous complex with grounds bigger than Newroads High and a building with more rooms than a small hotel.
Jason's heart gave a slight, painful jerk when he saw the big 'S' designed into the big, iron gates.
"Umm... This is where you live?"
"Yeah," Todd answered, unbuckling his seatbelt. "It was the Riley's summer home and my parents are pretty well-off. I mean, it's not like we totally took over their company or anything it's just that Ms. Riley is running the business all by herself now and my parents are good friends of hers. We bought this place at way more than its selling price to help her along."
Oh geez...
I never knew Kevin's mom was in so much strife...
"Oh... I see..."
Todd pushed open the door and gave Jason a big smile. "Well, thanks for the ride, Jason! I'll see ya later!"
That made him chuckle slightly. "Yeah, I have no doubt."

Day 3
When the school administration heard Jason Wolfe was coming in for a visit, naturally everyone was in a panic. There was a degree of smugness that crept into Jason as he watched teachers try to snap students into attention to make sure they weren't misbehaving. Being the school's most prestigious alumni, he was treated with more respect that he felt was his right to claim.
His life at Newroads High wasn't that spectacular... well... It was but it academically, it wasn't something to write home about.
Still, as he waited patiently in the small reception area to meet with the principal, he reflected on that life... and remembered who he had spent most of it with.
Connor...
There was a slight buzzing noise. The receptionist nodded.
"Mr. Norwood will see you now, Mr. Wolfe."
Norwood...? Now where have I heard that name before...?
Jason stood up and headed towards the door leading into the principal's office. He twisted the knob and stepped in...
His body instantly went on edge and his hackles rose.
Ted Norwood had been the bane of Jason's life in high school. The broadly build, hairy, man with beady, dark brown eyes had tried to put Jason into therapy or put him in the remedial class for no other reason than an unknowable vendetta. Graduating from Newroads High was a bittersweet experience. Bitter since Jason had to leave a place that had changed his life so drastically... and sweet because he was leaving behind people like Ted Norwood.
"Principal Norwood," Jason said forcing a smile. His fingers were twitching, getting ready to draw his blade and run the man behind the desk through. If steam could burst from his ears, he was sure it would knowing that this principal had done little more than expel the people that had tormented his son.
"Jason Wolfe," Norwood replied with mock honesty. He stood up and offered a hand to Jason. "A pleasure to see you again."
I bet it is.
You couldn't break my spirit so now you're breaking my son's!?
Is there no end to your evil!?
Reason bopped Jason's head lightly with his Epic Broom of Ass Kicking. "It's been over five years since you graduated from Newroads. You also_saved his fiancé indirectly, if you remember. His perspective has changed."_
Jason took Norwood's hand gingerly and shook it. "Likewise," he replied through clenched teeth.
"Have a seat, Mr. Wolfe."
"See? He's being very accommodating. He's respectful of you and your position."
_"That, or he's just setting you up for an epic fall,"_Pessimist grumbled.
Reason glared at the cynical part of Jason's subconscious and Pessimist retreated.
Jason sat down in the offered seat but Norwood remained standing.
"I know why you're here, Mr. Wolfe," the Principal began.
Damn straight!
My son is being bullied! I want assurances that he's going to be safe and that this stops!
"You do_realise that those incidents occurred several months ago, right?"_ Reason asked.
Norwood pulled out a small file from his desk and slid it across the table. "This is a special program we've been developing for cases just like Sam's. We hope the curriculum is to your approval."
Just looking at the title of the folder, 'Limitless Sky' sent Jason's blood boiling.
_"Whoa! Hold up there!"_Reason cried but it was too late.
Jason leapt to his feet, seizing the folder. "You are not putting Sam in a remedial class!"
Norwood gaped. "Wha -? No, this isn't a -"
"I know what you're doing!" Jason roared, throwing the folder back at Norwood's face, papers scattering everywhere. "You couldn't get me into your idiot classes and now you're gonna shove Sam in there! It won't work!"
"But -"
Reason sighed softly and strangely, through all of Jason's blinding rage, his voice managed to cut through. "Has it ever occurred to you to read_the contents of the folder first?"_
Growling, Jason peaked at one of the papers on that had fallen onto Norwood's desk.
It read 'Advanced Astrophysics'.
...
What the...?
"It isn't a remedial class, Jason," Norwood said, blushing slightly, "though I admit that I can see why you'd think that." He began gathering the papers. "Limitless Sky isn't a program for underachievers. It's a program to help develop budding supers."
...
Jason instantly sat back down, his eyes wide. "Sam is a super...?"
Norwood nodded grimly as he gathered all the pages and offered them back to Jason. "Yes... We think so anyway... He's had rapid muscle development in the past few weeks alone. His track records have become increasingly astounding. Academia-wise, he is absolutely brilliant. He's even teaching the computer classes. Did you know he made plans to build a cold-fusion reactor in shop class?"
The cogs were ticking away in Jason's head but their results just weren't registering...
Sam... is a super...?
He had suspected but...
"What are his powers...?"
"We're not sure yet," Norwood answered. "Limitless Sky is a government trial program that's being run in all schools. There's been an increase in supervillain activity and research shows that such development can be stemmed as early as childhood. I know Sam is a very sensible, calm and compassionate young man but we and the Alderonian Government would still like to give him a running start especially since he's living with a high-profile superhero such as yourself."
Jason picked up the folder offered to him and began reading its contents. There was a profile of Sam. The picture offered on it was absolutely glowing. Sam was grinning broadly and his sapphire-blue eyes looked to be like they were glowing. It stated all of Sam's records... he got straight A+s in all his subjects even gym - which Jason consistently failed at when he was in high school - and there were other notes mostly around his physical development.
Sam has been packing on the muscle recently...
"The program is meant to be a substitute for college," Norwood explained. "It starts in late high school before eventually easing into college itself. For the first year, they test to see what Sam's powers are and where his interests lie. After that, they start specialising. They'll start working a curriculum that complements Sam's abilities and gives him a better understanding of his abilities."
The subjects Sam had to take looked ridiculously complex... Electrical Engineering, Biochemistry, psychology, architecture... computer graphics... So much... All packed into the one year... It made Jason's head ache just reading all that was to be offered...
"I know we have a history, Mr. Wolfe," Norwood said, staring Jason squarely in the eye, "but you saved my fiancé... you saved the world. It was because of what you did that made my marriage possible. You don't know how much that means to me. I can't undo the past... but I can certainly make things better for Sam."
Slowly, Jason nodded and flicked through the pages of the folder he was offered. The program seemed quite well-thought out. It was a dynamic system that could change and alter depending on the preferences of the student. Interestingly, several retired supers or current superheroes such as Warhorse and Red Rush were going to be teachers as well.
They were good people.
"You're sure Sam is a super?"
"We're almost positive," Norwood answered. "We think he might has some degree of psychic powers or perhaps emotional control."
"Really?"
Norwood reached over and began shifting through some of the pages in the folder until he came to what appeared to be several observational reports. "We've noticed that everyone around Sam flicks immediately to the extremes of their emotions. Those former students that bullied him several months back might have been victim to his powers."
Wait a second...
Guilt began flooding Jason.
What if... they wouldn't have done that if they hadn't been exposed to Sam...?
What if... they could still be in this school?
Their futures might've been ruined because Sam couldn't control his powers...
That sealed the deal for him.
But this wasn't just his decision to make either.
Brett and Sam needed to approve first.
"Can I take this with me?" he asked. "I wanna run it through Brett and Sam first."
"I have already asked Sam about it," Norwood replied. "I've even attempted to get Coach Townes to convince him to sign it. However, he is insistent he has no powers and refuses."
Wait a second...
Coach Townes...?
He recalled Townes' attempt to get him to sign as football release form...
Was that really a...?
"Why wouldn't he want to enrol in this...?" he asked softly.
"You know him better than I do, Mr. Wolfe," Norwood answered. "I just don't want to know that your friend turned out to be a supervillain because of something he learned here. I would hope he'd grow up to be just like you."
Jason raised an eyebrow at the principal who chuckled faintly.
"Yes... I admit, that was not something I had thought back then," Norwood admitted. "However, I have changed, Mr. Wolfe... You are an honourable man worthy of respect."
"Thanks... Norwood."
Taking the folder, Jason headed out of the office and left Newroads High behind, driving straight home. His mind was filled with the thoughts of why Sam would openly reject such a great opportunity to develop his powers... or why Sam wouldn't tell them anything about it... Moreover, he was disturbed that Coach Townes would try to trick him into signing the forms...
Sam is a super...
He had fantasised about the three of them running around as a family beating up bad guys, saving Newroads and coming home to 'lick each others' wounds'. But all too often, those fantasies hit a brick wall which was his inability to tell Sam the truth!
Now... This was a chance to circumvent that barricade...
They could get to that fantasy without the truth being known...
"Are you seriously_considering that?"_ Reason asked. "If there's anything_that you should've learned from your experiences, it's that you should be honest with yourself and others."_
That was true... Lies and deceit had only led to heartbreak and drama... Both of which he really didn't need right now.
Ironically, here he was considering honesty when he was keeping a huge secret from Warren...
It was at Robin's request, of course, but still...
He pulled up in front of their house and noted that Dan wasn't working on the renovations. The TV was blaring from inside his dad's house so he guessed no one was currently at his. With a shrug, he grabbed the folder that Norwood had offered him and entered his home. After some rummaging through the refrigerator he found some nice, cool bottles of Ginger Ale and carried them through the open backyard and over to the backdoor of Dan's home.
He spied the tree that he used to sit in when he needed time alone from his family. As time progressed however, he found himself less and less in that tree - predominantly because the branches couldn't hold his weight - and because there was never a reason for him to actually be away from his father. With a smile, he entered through the back door and heard Dan and Brett in the lounge, their voices rising in tandem with the crowd of some televised sports game.
"TOUCHDOWN!" the television bellowed.
Must be a rerun of last night's game or something...
Brett leapt to his feet and pumped his fists into the air, turning to Dan and bumping chests. Dan caught the Rottweiler in a tight embrace, slapping Brett's wide, mountainous back while laughing joyously.
My family...
He imagined Sam amongst them... and it just felt right.
I think... I think it's about time a came clean...
There's a big change on the horizon... and it's a change I want to embrace... not fight.
Brett was the first to catch sight of him. "Hey, Jase! Hurry up and come over! The game is just getting good!"
"Didn't you watch the game on the weekend?" Jason replied, making his way around the couch and handing Brett a bottle of Ginger Ale.
"If you remember, we had dinner, you had your talk with Sam, I molested Todd, we went to have sex in bed and then we had to save the First National Bank."
"Oh... right..."
He sat down between his father and Brett, Dan wrapping a huge, muscular arm around his shoulders.
"How was your meeting with the principal of Newroads?" Dan asked as he took another Ginger Ale that Jason offered.
"Interesting," Jason admitted. "Turns out, Ted Norwood is principal now."
There was a pause.
Dan reached over and flicked off the TV. "The bastard that tried to brand you a delinquent?"
"The same one." Jason pulled out the folder he had been offered. "Turns out, Sam's been flagged down as a super and they want to transfer him to a program called 'Limitless Sky.'"
All thoughts of the football game went out the window as Dan and Brett leaned over Jason's shoulders.
Pulling open the folder, Jason handed his father and mate some of the papers inside. "Apparently, it's a dynamic program that changes and alters according to the preferences and powers of the super involved. It'll give Sam a head start in life."
"Sounds to me like the government is trying a more subtle way of controlling the growing supers out there," Brett murmured, taking other page from the folder.
"Huh?"
"The government copped a lot of negative publicity after Warren blew the cover on their Militarised Super projects," Dan explained, setting down the papers in his hands and frowning at them. "This government funded program just sounds like their attempt to brainwash the kids before they can grow a mind of their own."
Jason stared at the folder in his hands and had to fight hard not to drop them like they were infected by an incurable virus.
I... I never thought of it that way before...
During the Malefactor's attack, Greed had controlled a key government official by the name of Tara. She headed a program that involved purposefully infecting military personnel with Descent-like chemicals that gave them all superpowers but also caused any existing supers to become incredibly hormonal and lose their inhibitions. It was an imperfect system but she created a large number of supers all under the government's control.
When Warren told the media about it, countless others came to the surface reporting their cases. The existing government was impeached and a new one was set in.
If what Dan and Brett suspected was true... the face of Alderon's government had changed... but the soul remained the same.
Is that why Sam didn't want to join up...?
Because he could see through this?
"We'll need to do more research on this," Dan said, taking the folder from Jason and examining it closely. "We also have to remember that you're a very powerful and influential super, Jason. If you're backing this program, a lot of people will by default."
Dang...
Suddenly, Jason felt both dirty and angry.
And here I fell for Norwood's 'I turned a new leaf' crap...
"Or,"_Reason reprimanded, _"Norwood genuinely believes in the program. This is government-level_stuff. Not high school level. He seemed quite sincere in his intentions."_
Jason's anger ebbed slightly...
"Maybe Warren would know more about this," Brett offered, setting down the pages on the table littered with corn chips, empty bottles and a variety of dipping sauces. "He's still got a lot of contacts in the-"
Ding-dong.
Jason glanced over his shoulder at the doorway. "Who could that be?" He got off the couch and headed over to the door. There was a part of him thinking it might be some salesman trying to get the backing of Jason Wolfe on something they were selling. It happened often in the first few months since his face kicked.
A cynical part of him flagged it as more drama in his life.
He flung open the door and was instantly assaulted by a wave of alcohol.
"Heeeeey!" Warren announced, his eyes half-closed and a sloppy smile on his face. "There's my main man! Come 'ere you!"
"Warren -!?"
Before he could react, the huge, muscular dragon lurched forward, wrapping his arms tightly around Jason's shoulders and locking their lips together. The scent of alcohol filled Jason's nostrils and nearly made him gag especially when Warren began shamelessly running his tongue all over Jason's face, reaching down with one hand and groping Jason's package.
_"Speak of the devil,"_Reason sighed.
The big dragon's weight was overpowering but Jason managed to stagger back and shut the door as Warren slumped over his shoulders, giggling like an idiot.
"What are you doing here!?"
Brett and Dan came over from the lounge but shared differing expressions.
Jason's mate had a look on his face that said, 'Sweet! Drunk Dragon!'
Dan's looked more like, 'Not on the floor. Not on the floor.'
"You would not believe the day I just hand," Warren groaned, his deep voice slurred and his movements so wavy Jason was amazed just how limp the dragon's bulging muscles could be. "I need a drink."
"I think you've had enough..." Dan began but Warren staggered forward and snatched the bottle of Ginger Ale from Dan's hand and guzzled it.
"Aw yeah, that hits the spot." Warren wiped his mouth with the back of his hand and staggered into the lounge, collapsing on the seat and grabbing Jason's unfinished bottle before guzzling that too.
"He is so drunk..." Brett murmured. "And it's just two in the afternoon!"
Dan winced. "Thank god Ginger Ale isn't alcoholic... I'm going to get some coffee... If he looks like he's going to throw up, get him to the bathroom quickly."
"Sure thing, dad," Jason replied, heading over to where his friend was sculling a third bottle of Ginger Ale. He sat down on Warren's right while Brett took the left. They both rested a hand on the dragon's shoulders, steadying the ex-marine.
"You know what I love about guys?" Warren said, his voice constantly fluctuating in pitch. He hiccoughed and gave a goofy grin at the sensation. "Three things..." He held up three fingers. "One, they got dicks."
There... Jason had to grin and snigger. Brett shot him a disproving look but it was clear his mate agreed with Warren's statement.
"I love cock," Warren continued. "Love the taste, love the feel... hell, I love it up my ass. Chicks, they don't have dicks. They got boobs but it ain't the same thing. I mean, they give ya milk and junk but I like a guy's milk. It's goddamn tasty." A grin crossed his features. "In fact... I could go for some milk right now." He turned to Jason and mercilessly reached for Jason's pants. "Come on, Jase, I'm thirsty."
"Whoa!" Jason cried, pushing Warren away. "Easy there!"
"Aww... What? You empty 'cuz you gave your hot dog here all yer seed?" Warren turned his grin towards Brett. "Must mean you're the one packing the good stuff, eh, mate?"
"My milk is for paying customers only, solider," Brett said, holding his hands up.
"Eh, whatever." The dragon took another swing from his Ginger Ale and frowned when he emptied it. He set it back down. "You know what else I like about guys? They get me! I mean, if I was sex, a guy understands! We're all bros, right?" Warren wrapped his arms around Jason and Brett, pulling them together in a choking headlock.
Jason gasped and struggled, trying to prise himself free without hurting his friend. The overpowering stench of alcohol and Warren's sweat was making him dizzy. If Warren didn't throw up, Jason was pretty sure he'd be the one to soil his dad's carpet.
"Guys get guys. Chicks, they're like from another planet! They're all about 'commitment' and everything meaning something! Sex is sex! It doesn't have to be anything!"
Uh-oh...
Jason was starting to see where this was going.
Warren released them as he leaned forward and lifted a finger as if lecturing an invisible child on the other side of the coffee table. "And the last thing I love about guys," he began, waving that finger. "Guys don't get pregnant."
Jason and Brett exchanged knowing glances.
That wasn't entirely true in their case... Well... Brett didn't exactly get pregnant... more like got inseminated by Jason's spiritual light and gave birth to Sam in the same instant... sort of.
Wait a second...
The panic alarms began blaring.
He could see the same alarms going off in Brett's head as well and they turned towards Warren at the same instant.
"Pregnant!?" Brett exclaimed. "Who's pregnant!?"
"Someone's pregnant!?" Dan exclaimed, charging in from the kitchen. "Brett, please don't tell me you spawned another child of pure colour!"
"What!? No!"
Dan's eyes widened and he turned straight towards Jason. "Oh my god... Jason... I should have known... You were starting to gain a little weight..."
Jason gawked in horror. "What!? No! I'm not pregnant!"
Hang on...
"And what do you mean I was 'starting to gain a little weight'?"
"Brett and Jase aren't pregnant," Warren growled, swatting at some invisible fly. "It's Robin. She's pregnant."
Dan gave a nod of understand and slinked back towards the kitchen mentioning that coffee again. Jason poked his abs and felt hard muscle there. He tried grabbing some flab but couldn't and was satisfied he hadn't started fattening up.
"Robin... is... pregnant?" Brett repeated softly. "With your child?"
"Doesn't matter if it's mine or not," Warren muttered, lying back in the couch. "She wants a commitment. She wants me more to be than her fling. She wants me to give up guys! Dude! You might as well plug up my ass right now!"
Heaven have mercy should that happen...
"Well... She's worried that you might run off with some guy leaving the kid traumatised," Brett said.
"And that's what shits me!" Warren cried, burying his face in his hands, his claws digging into his scales. "God! It's all about her and the goddamn kid! What about what I want!?"
Erm... I don't know what to say to that...
We need Sam...
"No you don't,"_Reason said sagely. _"You know Warren better than Sam does. Sam gives generic advice that is global and affects all. This is a specialised case. Go on, just say what's in your heart. Dish out your own brand of 'Jason-Wolfe-Psychoanalysis'."
Taking a deep breath, Jason nodded slightly. "Well... What is it that you want?"
Warren groaned, grabbing the sides of his head and tugging at his nutty-brown horns slightly. "I wanna suck dick, get fucked and I wanna cum all over a hot guy!"
"No, no you don't," Jason replied, taking Warren's hand and patting his gently. "You wouldn't have stayed with Robin for two years and got her pregnant if that's all you wanted." He poked Warren's chest. "Deep down, I think you're in love with Robin. You like guys, I know that. But you love Robin. She's the one person in the world you're willing to change for."
"But I don't wanna change!"
"Then you're a goddamn idiot." Everyone in the room gave him a surprised stare. He had an eerie feeling that Dan had poked his head out of the kitchen just to stare as well. "We're all mortals, Warren. Mortals change. If we didn't, we would've died out a long time ago. Call it evolution, call it adaptation calling a stubbornness of clinging onto life and refusing to roll over and die. Fact is, we keep changing mentally, physically and emotionally when the cause is great enough."
He seized the sides of Warren's head and forced the dragon to stare directly into his eyes. "Warren, you don't have to stop liking guys. It's too much for Robin to ask that of you. But what you need to change is this stupid denial that you love her. Be a real man, soldier. Think with this" - he jabbed Warren's forehead with a finger - "and feel with this" - he poked Warren's chest - "and don't use this for both." He seized Warren's crotch before pulling away.
Warren stared into his eyes for a long moment... realisation and a sense of clarity filling those sky-blue eyes. His lips slowly parted open like he was struck in awe.
Brett's expression said, 'Who are you and what have you done with my husband?'
Jason smiled a little smugly.
"A little crass and 'in-your-face'," Reason allowed. "Certainly different from Sam's random insightfulness or Brett's soft, understanding lectures but still very effective..."
Warren spoke. "God you're hot when you're lecturing."
Reason groaned and threw his hands into the air.
Jason did the same, standing up and storming to the kitchen. "I give up!" he growled.
Brett followed him, telling Warren to stay put. Warren began talking to an empty bottle like it was a baby... or a cock... Either way, it was creepy.
Jason and Brett met Dan who had a few cups of coffee sitting on the kitchen counter.
"He's a mess," whispered Brett. "In his drunken stupor, nothing will get through. We either need to let him stay here for the night or find Robin and get her to talk some sense into him."
"It seems unfair that she's the only one that gets a say in this relationship," Jason replied with a soft growl.
"That's not what I meant," his Rottweiler answered. "I get this feeling that Robin wasn't so smart in demanding so much from him either. They were both in the wrong. Robin for being so needing and expecting Warren to miraculously change but also Warren for being so stubborn and afraid of commitment. The only way we'll sort this out is if we can get them both under the same roof."
Dan swiped his keys from the table. "In that case, I'll go get Robin. Hopefully she isn't as drunk as Warren."
As his father left, Jason felt his mate's eyes on him.
"You know, Warren was right on one thing," his Rottweiler said, moving in close and pressing their noses together. "You are hot when you're lecturing."
A grin crawled onto Jason's face as he gently kissed his mate. "So are you, stud."
A door opened and shut. Moments later a car drove away.
Hmmm... This would be a good time to bring up Robin's proposal...
"Brett... Robin told me she was pregnant yesterday."
His mate blinked in surprise and pulled away slightly but never released his arms from wrapping around Jason's torso. "Really?"
"Yeah... She asked if we'd adopt the child when it was born."
There, Brett frowned.
Oh no...
He's going to say 'no'...
He could just imagine it now... Brett would tell him that it was crazy... After the demands Robin was making of Warren... For her to give up the child to them? Now that Jason thought about it, it was ridiculous for him to get his hopes up.
If Robin was so opposed to Warren screwing other guys, why would she offer her child to an openly gay couple?
Hell, why would she even make those demands of Warren when she offered the child of up Jason?
Feeling his heart sink, Jason looked into his mate's calculating eyes and wondered what was going through their soft, brown orbs.
"We'll need a nursery."
Jason's heart skipped a beat. "Wh - what?" he stammered. "You're not freaked that Robin is offering us the child while demanding commitment from Warren? You're not mad I didn't tell you sooner?"
Brett rolled his eyes. "Babe, I know you. You were just waiting for the right moment. I completely understand. And as for Robin, I think she's just covering all her bases. It sounds to me she just found out recently. And hiding a baby is pretty hard you know. She wants to know that Warren is still going to be there even when she's all big and bulgy. That he'll stay by her side during the baby's birth and even after the child is born.
"She might still give the child away or she might not. The thing she wants the most is knowing that Warren will still love her. Now that I think about it... it sounds perfectly reasonable."
Yeah... It does...
Robin just needed that confirmation... Regardless of whether or not the baby was given to Jason and Brett, the child would still have Warren and Robin as biological parents. They had to be there to support the child... and they needed each other as well...
This would be their first child together...
Another door opened and shut and Jason straightened, wondering if Dan had returned.
"Whoa!"
That wasn't Dan.
"Uh... Jason? Brett? Dan? Why is Warren here?" Sam cried from the lounge room.
Oh...
Warren's lustful growl echoed throughout the entire house. "Hey there sexy..."
"And why is he really drunk...? Whoa! Hey! And why is he getting really naked!?"
Crap!
Brett bolted for the lounge room ahead of Jason. There, Warren was completely nude, his long eight-inch, pink cock bouncing in the air and already slick with a mixture of precum and what had to be Ginger Ale. The big dragon and Sam in his arms, those bulging muscles enclosing Sam completely and his draconic muzzle peppering Sam's neck with kisses. The oddly colour wolf was trying to scramble free, kicking in the air wildly as he was suspended in the air by the big dragon.
"Brett! Jason! Help!" Sam cried before his muzzle was encased by Warren's, the dragon savagely thrusting his tongue deep into Sam's throat.
Warren pulled away and grinned evilly, his eyes bright and lustful. "Yeah... You taste good, kid. I wanna taste your cock next."
"Oh crap..."
"Hold on Sam!" Brett shouted, lunging at Warren. The big dragon saw him approach and grinned. Before Jason could cry out in warning, Warren's arm snapped out, wrapping around Brett's waist and pulling him against Sam and catching the two canines in a tremendous bear hug. Warren assaulted Brett's muzzle, slobbering all over the Rottweiler's face, saliva dribbling down Brett's neck and shirt.
"Hmmm... You'll be next, Hellhound."
Warren threw Brett wantonly onto the couch as he crumpled to the ground, his massive, webbed wings wrapping around himself and Sam. The sound of tearing clothing and Sam's muffled cries filled the lounge room.
Crap!
"Sam! Hold on!"
Jason scrambled towards Warren and seized the big dragon's tail, tugging at it with all his might. The muscular appendage wrapped around his waist and suddenly yanked him to the ground. One of Warren's massive wings spread and enclosed him in the hot cocoon alongside Sam, their bodies all pressed against one another.
Warren's sky-blue eyes burned with drunken lust in the semi-darkness of his cocoon.
"God Jason, yours is the dick I've wanted for so long."
"Warren, you -"
He gasped as Warren's claws dug into his pants and tore them right off. There was no denying his eight-inch erect cock that bounced right next to Sam's monster of a dick. Warren licked his lips and greedily wrapped his muzzle around Jason's cock. The warmth of that muzzle mixed with the slick, wetness of his friend's saliva caused him to groan and instinctively thrust deep into his friend.
"Jason!" Brett cried. "Let go of him you - Hey! What the -?"
There was loud tearing followed by a soft whump. Warren groaned into Jason's crotch before he pulled away and turned towards Sam's member, grinning at it.
"Whoa kid... you're a monster."
"Funny, I'd say the same thing about you," Sam replied shakily. His eyes flicked over to Jason. "If we move at the same time, we can get fr - eeeee!" Sam let out a soft cry as Warren's tongue wrapped completely around his titanic member like a long, pink ribbon around a throbbing, meaty sausage. Warren drew his tongue all the way from the base of Sam's cock to the tip before coming back down again.
"Okay," Jason breathed, trying to control himself. "On three. One... Two..."
Before he could get to three, Warren suddenly spread his wings and folded them behind his back. Above the massive dragon's shoulder, he could see Brett pinned to Warren's ass. His mate's pants had been discarded and Warren's tail was wrapped around his waist. It looked like Brett was trying to pull away but every time he did, Warren pulled him back again, forcing his exposed sheathe to bounce between those huge, firms asscheeks.
What the -!?
Come on! It's three against one and he's still_winning!?_
He groaned as he felt Warren's muzzle wrap around his cock again. Pressure was building in his cock and he couldn't deny that having his member disappear into that broad, draconic muzzle while being pressed up against his son was completely and utterly hot.
Crap... I'm... I'm...
He locked gazes with Sam...
His son looked so helpless... but at the same time, overcome by the same pleasure he was. When Warren pulled away from his cock and turned to Sam's, his son whimpered, eyes shutting and a his soft features turning into an angelic sigh of pure beauty.
Jason couldn't help it...
... and he gave up...
He wrapped his arms around his son, protecting him from the big, red, sex monster that was assaulting their cocks. Sam's arms wound around him tightly as well and he heard his son whimpering. Grimacing against Warren's return, he pressed Sam's head against his chest, gritting his teeth and holding back a moan as he felt his cock slip all the way back down into Warren's throat.
"Aw damnit!" Brett cussed and he heard the soft, wet flapping sounds of his mate's cock being forced into Warren's ass.
"I wonder if this constitutes as rape...?"_Reason asked mildly. _"And if so... Who is raping whom?"
Don't you have anything helpful to say!?
"Why? You're clearly enjoying this."
He was... but it wasn't because Warren was sucking him off... It was because he was holding Sam so tightly just like a father should protect his son... His heart pounded hard against his chest, beating strength and courage into his son and he could feel Sam relaxing slightly.
Sam glanced up at him, a soft whimper escaping him.
"It's okay..." Jason whispered, kissing his son's forehead. He grunted as he felt Warren's muzzle leave his... and his cock press hard against Sam's. "We'll be okay... He won't hurt us..."
"Jason..." Sam whimpered. "I - Ah!"
Jason gasped at the same time when Warren suddenly shoved both his and Sam's cock into his muzzle. The sensation of his sensitive member compressed against his son's all wrapped in the dragon's muzzle drove Jason wild. Warren began mercilessly sucking, driving his hot, wet tongue between the two members and exploring every inch of them as precum poured out of them, spilling out of his ridiculously filled muzzle.
From the corner of his vision, Jason could see Brett had stopped trying to resist fighting against Warren. His mate was thrusting into the dragon, eyes rolled up into the back of his head. He also saw Warren's tail had slipped in between Brett's asscheeks, no doubt penetrating that tight, pink hole and giving Brett even more pleasure.
Jason prayed for his mate but knew Brett would hold strong somehow... He turned to Sam and felt his body tense, shaking as the pleasure and pressure built and built inside his body...
"Sam... I love you..." he groaned.
"I... I love you too..." Sam replied. He gnashed his teeth, his fingers gripping Jason's fur rightly as he buried his muzzle deep into the cleft of Jason's bouncing pecs for support.
Jason caught all four of their scents mixing together in the air. Warren's musky, peppery taste, Brett's spicy, steak-like aroma mixed with and finishing off with Sam's clear, crystal-like odour. Entree, main and dessert.
Sam succumbed to the lovemaking and his entire body relaxed suddenly before tensing up again. His hands drifted down to Jason's nipples, giving them a hard twist. Jason threw back his head and let out a pleasured gasp as his son also ran a hand over his abs, making him shake and shudder in pleasure. When he turned back, his lips instantly met his son's.
Jason blinked in surprise as Sam twisted his head into the kiss, their muzzles merging into a perfect union like two puzzle pieces falling into place. All shock left Jason. Closing his eyes, he brought his hand up to the back of Sam's neck, holding his son tightly into that kiss.
Their tongues danced over one another in a delicate waltz filled with grace, beauty and love. Jason drew his over the length of Sam's before curling it back. Sam instantly took the cue and ran his tongue along the underside of Jason's, the tips meeting perfectly in the union that was their muzzles, their tastebuds leaping for joy at the touch of the other's.
His son pressed up against him... Warren sucking him off with his cock pressed up against Sam's in that warm muzzle... and Brett shoving his dick into Warren... it was too much...
Every thrust that Brett made sent shockwaves down through Warren, the big dragon's cock spewing precum onto the carpet. Those waves translated into Warren's muzzle digging closer and closer to Jason's crotch, the two cocks funnelling down the big dragon's throat. Each time he drew closer, Jason and Sam pulled each other together more and more, almost to the point where they would've been one.
Sam moaned loud and hard into Jason's throat, meeting the echoing moans perfectly in the middle. Warren was groaning in absolute pleasure while Brett was grunting with each thrust he made.
Jason felt his son's moans growing in intensity and pleasure, the heat from their bodies boiling their blood to the point of eruption. His cock yearned for release as he yearned for his son to say that magic word that he knew would send him over the edge. A howl was building in his chest and he knew he was ten seconds for exploding.
Nine...
Warren suddenly pulled back slightly before shoving his tongue straight down Jason's cumslit. Jason gasped, breaking his kiss with his son as a new wave of pleasure entered him, his eyes rolling into the back of his head. He heard Sam panting rapidly, feverishly.
Eight...
Brett's pounding reached light-speed and he was almost a blur of dark fur. Warren's entire body was shaking uncontrollably with both pleasure and the Rottweiler's assault.
Seven...
"J - J - Jason..." Sam groaned.
Six...
Warren growled softly and shoved his muzzle all the way down Sam's shaft! An entire foot-long member disappeared down that throat and Sam let out a loud cry of pure ecstasy.
Five...
"I... I..." Sam gasped.
Jason turned towards his son... whimpering softly.
Oh god... God... Say it Sam... Please... Say it...
"I... lo... love..."
Four...
Sam suddenly gnashed his teeth together. "Dad! I love you!"
... three-two-one-zero.
Jason threw back his head and let out an ear-splitting howl as he exploded right into Warren's throat, his hot seed pouring deep into the dragon's gut. Sam twitched once before he too erupted. Brett was came a second later, shouting his pleasure. Jason felt something hot, wet and sticky splatter his thighs and he vaguely registered that as Warren cumming.
He was in absolute and total bliss. Holding Sam all the tighter, his son's words echoed deep into his mind and soul...
Dad, I love you...
Dad, I love you...
Dad, I love you...
Dad...
He was Sam's dad...
His howl died in his throat as the waterfall of seed from his cock trickled down to a stream. Gasping, he held his son against his chest, Sam breathing heavily and nestling his head against Jason's large, muscular pecs like a pillow. Jason would remember this scene forever in his mind... Not Warren managing to somehow overpower all three of them...
... but his son resting against his chest lovingly... Eyes closed blissfully and breathing slowing to a soft sigh... Their arms wrapped around each other... holding each other tight... Him protecting Sam from the world... and Sam protecting Jason's heart...
"I love you too, son..." he whispered.
There was a loud popping sound and a very loud sigh of relief. Jason's cock was suddenly exposed to the cold except for the part that was still pressed up against Sam's member. He glanced down at Warren who had a big, goofy grin on his face while cum poured out from the corners of his muzzle. The big dragon wiped his lips and licked the salty brew from his fingers.
"Damn... You guys should open a bar," he giggled, still terribly drunk. "Straight from the tap... Just my kind of drink."
Brett collapsed against the big dragon, the two of them falling in a fleshy, muscular heap. "Shut up and hold still... I'm gonna be stuck in you for a while..."
Jason chuckled softly and nestled in against his son who had drifted off into a delicate slumber.
So it hadn't started off as a typical love making... but it was still perfect.
He resolved to tell Sam the truth... The sooner the better...
Because telling the truth would bring more moments like this, moment of pure love and not just the sex, then he wanted the truth out.
Jason sighed contently and shut his eyes...
Click-click.
His eyes sprang open again as the front door open.
"Jason?" Dan shouted. "Warren? I brought Robin>"
"You ready?"_Reason asked, Optimist, Pessimist and Horndog beside him. The other three nodded. _"Give me a C!"
Optimist struck a 'C' position.
The Dan and Robin stepped to the entrance of the lounge room.
"Give me an R!"
Pessimist positioned his body like an 'R'
Robin's eyes widened and Warren just grinned at her.
"Give me an 'A'!"
Horndog made himself an 'A'
"Hey babe," Warren said in his drunken slur. "Wanna join in the fun? We're still fresh."
_"Give me a 'P'!"_Reason shouted, adding the last letter.
Dan's jaw dropped.
"My floor!"
CRAP!
