In the city of Barum, there lived a family of humble martial artists, who made a living trying to teach others how to defend themselves.

They mainly got their income from teaching others how to get stronger, discipline themselves, and to know different strategies and tackle different weaknesses and situations they may find themselves in.

The leader and father of the heroes of this tragic story was Aaron, a Lucario and a single father left to take care of his two sons, riolus who had been training with him since they were able to walk.

But at night, they would be something else entirely, they'd be more than just martial artists, they would be superheroes. Using their martial arts training and natural toughness, they would defend the weak and give hope to everyone that resided in the local area, to make them feel safe in their own homes peacefully without fear of danger.

Barum was being plagued by neanderthals, thugs, and even supervillains, the cops were having trouble, and even with their specialized equipment and moves, they may have been a match for the common hoodlums of the city, but the supervillains were a whole different case.

Nobody knew how villains emerged from out of nowhere, some say there was a rumor that they had broken into a rare candy factory and consumed them all, before breaking the machines and preventing anybody from becoming as strong as them. With the rapid growth of their stats and abilities, nobody at that time had been able to match their strength, that is until a new type of entity appeared just as they had.

Superheroes, everybody assumed that they had existed before the supervillains, some of them even being ordinary pokemon who revealed their bravery and fought the supervillains. One of them got lucky and landed a finishing blow on them, causing them to grow rapidly as their levels skyrocketed in that one hit.

Eventually, the superheroes would help other brave individuals become stronger, seeing the potential for them to become strong and use their newfound strength wisely, they teamed up with them and before long, superheroes were commonly found and among people.

But as time passed, superheroes seemed to have disappeared from all over this particular city, and nobody knew why. There were no memorials, and no such clues of their sudden disappearance, everybody chalked it up to them having fallen in battle, or captured for ransom, either way, everyone's lives went on as other superheroes took their place and it was as if nothing had happened.

But due to these disappearances, superheroes have become more cautious, and Luke advised his sons to do the same thing and to never go to dangerous territories or missions alone, which they agreed to be.

Luke, Aaron, and Meeko were one of these heroes who faced them, becoming an iconic trio in Barum known as the Aura Guardians. They each had a name for themselves:

Aaron was known as Aura Guardian Delta.

Luke was known as Aura Guardian Beta.

And lastly, Meeko was known as Aura Guardian Alpha.

Despite all the cautionary rumors of villains capturing heroes, they had no problems facing them at night, each one being hauled to prison and drained of their rare candy stats and turning them all back to normal, before placing them in jail.
