Halloween came finally and Lilith was over the moon excited. She had picked a wolf to go as for her costume. A free day no work at all everyone wandered the castle finding candy, talking, playing in their costumes, or finding small snacks. Food was placed in the kitchen and restocked all day. Everyone ate as they please. It was wonderful. Lilith searched for candy with a few friends, ate lunch with Aspen and Poppy, then went off with Alex and Luna after lunch for more candy.

As they strolled the never ending halls every few minutes she heard shrill screeches and then loud laugher from other rooms and floors. Brogdrin has been popping around all the rooms all day. Showing off his teleporting powers and scaring his girls. After their night together Lilith felt much better since yesterday. She laughed with her sisters and celebrated Halloween. Like she always wanted to.

Finding an old dusty single bedroom Lilith went in to search for candy. Alex trailed behind her and asked.

“You coming to the meeting tonight Lilly?"

“Yep. Master has no idea about anything."

Lilith replied looking in an old bookcase. Finding two chocolates she smiled and dropped them in her bucket. Alex came over and said.

“We're meeting in Luna's room at the end of the hall. After lights out."

Lilith nodded but was sad she would have to be late to Brogdrin's room.

“Alright, aren't you scared?"

“Actually no."

Alex replied with a shrug and a smile.

“We will slip away and leave no tracks, the gates aren't locked, and it's a like a mile run to the closest safe house area. Luna's been working maps heavy. He won't know what happened until it's too late. We'll barter for a ride back to our world and poof. Gone."

Lilith was grateful Brogdrin kept the barrier a secret. Seemed a good idea to keep his rules enforced without having to actually do anything.

“Good plan."

Luna came in showing off her bucket.

“Six pieces. Six! Must have been a room no one has been to yet. Come on. I saw another group just down the hall. I think they found cupcakes."

Lilith informed Brogdrin of her plan right before lights out. He happily agreed and let her do her own thing, after she promised to be nice to him that night. Since it was his birthday and all. How could she say no. He also cautioning her to be mindful of herself.

Lilith got out of her costume in her own room. It had been so long since she was there it seemed different. Glancing down to her table she eyed the paw print in clay Brogdrin had made her. Knowing it was his own paw made it that much special. Putting her nightgown on under her worker clothes she then left for Alex's meeting.

Arriving at Luna's room she pushed the door open and was greeted by Alex.

“Lilly. Hey, you're just in time. Come on in."

Lilith came in and instantly looked around to see who else had betrayed her Master. Luna she knew but the others were just in passing. Thank goodness. She prayed not to see another familiar face. Still angry at them but grateful it wasn't Aspen.

“Alright everyone. Settle."

Alex stepped into the middle of the room holding her hands up.

“Now that Luna found a place for us to barter a ride our plan is set. Tomorrow night. Tomorrow we escape this place and make our way back home."

Lilith was surprised. They said in the winter. Tomorrow was too soon for her to get through to all these girls.

“Remember to pack light and bring warm clothes. We will be walking for a while. And please, everyone pee before we go. I don't want to have to stop."

A murmur of giggles spread across the room. Luna sat beside Lilith and nudged her.

“Surprised to see you here."

She thought the same of Luna.

“I dunno…still difficult I guess."

“I won't poke. This is not a light choice."

Lilith nodded and turned back to Alex.

“Tomorrow night we meet at the garden. Way later than tonight so make sure to sleep well. We'll sneak out together and make a break for it. Don't stop for anything or anyone. Ready?"

“Ready."

The room chanted. Lilith's heart broke for these girls and Luna even more. She had to at least try and save her. Of all of them maybe she would listen.

After the meeting Lilith stayed behind to talk with Luna alone. Smiling Luna patted her bed beside her.

“Sit. What's up?"

“I wanted to see if there was any way I could change your mind?"

Lilith took her hand and looked her in the eyes.

“I have a bad feeling about just running away. I'm scared."

“It'll be alright Lil."

Luna said with a smile.

“Alex has looked into all this. She's actually quite brilliant. We just gotta be ready to run."

“I dunno Luna. Master says he will hunt us down."

“He has to find us first. Plus it's getting cold. He doesn't leave when it's super cold. This is the best time to try and go."

“But what about the hunting. He could kill us."

“We will be alright."

Luna patted her shoulder reassuringly and laughed.

“You panic way too much sometimes."

Lilith sighed heavily and squeezed her hand.

“It's dangerous. Is there nothing I can say to change your mind?"

“Nothing. Sorry Lil. I am happy you are going with us. This place I thought had changed you a bit. Now I see you just learned to play well."

“Right…"

Lilith could feel her heart breaking for Luna. If only she would listen. They talked for a while then Lilith said her goodbyes and left to return to Brogdrin's room. Happy to get away from all this.

“So that's it Master."

Lilith had told him everything on their walk that night. Each worker at the meeting, Alex's plan, the area where they would try and barter a ride from. Everything.

His words of advice echoed in her head as she spoke. Not to hurt herself trying to help someone else.

“It will be alright Little Flower."

He consoled her as he always did. A caring hand on her shoulder as they walked. Letting out an aggravated sigh she pulled her coat closed around her.

“I'm going with them to the gate tomorrow Master. Please don't think I will actually run."

“I trust you."

His hand squeezed her shoulder making her look up to him. He smiled to her.

“You promised me to stay and I believe you. You don't know how to make stompers yet. No way you'd leave without that information."

A small smile crossed her lips as she looked away from him. He was sweet.

“Thank you sir and you are right. I need to know how to make them. Are you going to do anything tomorrow? When they leave I mean."

“I will try once more to remind them of my rules. Yes I will make an appearance."

Lilith almost had hoped he wouldn't. Just let her try and stop them.

“I won't get in your way sir. You handle the castle."

He stopped suddenly and turned her towards him.

“I ask you to be ready for what you see that night. I am kind and sweet to you. I take my castle seriously and enforce my rules with an iron fist."

“I understand."

Lilith nodded her head once. Meeting his serious gaze.

“This is your dream sir. I am not surprised you would do anything to protect it. You already ask so little of us. I am ready to lose my sisters because if they want to leave this family they are no longer my sisters."

“It will still hurt Lilly. Be ready."

Brogdrin warned.

“You are still human."

“I'm sorry Master, but you are wrong."

She gave him a smile and then said.

“I am a demi-demon. Slitter of stomper throats."

His own smile grew as he laughed.

“Forgive me. Slayer of stompers."

“Forgiven Master. Now let me be nice to you. It is your birthday after all."

He growled and stepped towards her.

“Do I get to choose?"

“My gift to you? Yes sir!"

Lilith watched his sinful smile come out and she felt the hairs on the back of her neck stand straight up. His hand cupped her cheek. His thumb tracing her lips.

“You know what I want."

“Happily Master."

She exclaimed smiling to him. Knowing before even asking what his answer would be.

“Anything for you."

Lilith muddled through her duties the next day. Breakfast and lunch just a blur of a memory. Every time she saw Luna she made sure to try and slip in a few words of her worry for this plan but it just seemed to fall short. Set in her ways Lilith was more sad today then yesterday.

Working in the library after lunch renting out books helped take her mind off things. Sitting behind the counter checking in a few books to her logs. She flipped pages in her own book beside her. Another pick from Aspen. If Lilith hadn't known better she could have sworn Aspen knew she was sleeping with their Master. It was way she hinted at things and gave…odd…tips for no reason randomly.

“Hey Lil."

Lilith looked up to Poppy smiling at her.

“How are things?"

“Good. Logging some books back in. Anything I can do for you?"

“Tell me why you've been walking around like your head is in a fog?"

Poppy's expression remained kind as she spoke. Lilith gave a heavy sigh and closed her log book.

“Easy to tell?"

“I've been here a while."

Poppy leaned on the counter smiling to her.

“What's up?"

“I dunno…"

Lilith gazed down at her books. Poppy was the oldest worker here. She could trust her.

“It's just..."

“Alex's plan messing with your head?"

Poppy reached out and held Lilith's hand.

“You're not thinking of leaving are you?"

She stared back at Poppy. Surprised but somehow sorta of not. She probably knew more than Lilith did about this place.

“No. Never."

“Sad then?"

“More sad about Luna…"

Lilith confessed.

“She was like a sister to me…"

“Aw Lil."

Poppy squeezed both her hands around Lilith's.

“Take it from someone who has lost quite a few sisters. It will get better. Just give it some time."

“How do you deal with this so well? How does Master? I'm so angry and sad at the same time."

Poppy let out a soft sigh shaking her head.

“There is nothing I can say that will make you feel better Lil. Just know I am here for you and so is our Master. If you ever need to talk or vent or anything."

“Do you remember your first?"

“Of course. I remember all my lost sisters. But I remember them fondly. The laughs we shared, the times when we cried together, birthdays and Christmas and Thanksgivings. Yes they are gone but the life of the dead gets placed in the memory of the living."

Poppy let out a small laugh and then said.

“Master's words echoing out of my own mouth…it'll be okay Lil."

Lilith was comforted by Poppy's words. She did sound a lot like her Master. Wise and true. Luna was still her friend and sister regardless of her own life choices. Lilith may not agree but they didn't have to agree to be family.

She slowly nodded her head. Pieces clicking together in her head. Weight seemed to lift off her shoulders.

“You're right. Thanks Poppy."

“No problem. So how long has it been now?"

Lilith gave her a confused look. Standing up from her seat. Poppy giggled and came around to her side. Holding her hand and leaning in close she whispered.

“You and Master."

Lilith mind stopped. She stared at Poppy watching her laugh and sit right beside her.

“Oh don't panic. I'm not telling anyone. I've known Master for a very long time now and he hasn't acted like this in just as long. Sealing away in his room each night isn't because he is sad."

Giving her a side eye glance. Poppy looked her up and down.

“And you never take the same hallway as we do to the kitchen. So now that we have that out of the way. A month?"

Lilith let out a breath then smiled to her.

“Almost two now. He speaks so highly of you."

“Really? Aw that old dog. I care for him. Glad he has you now. He was so lonely for so long. Smiles more that is for sure."

“What was he like? Before all of us I mean."

Lilith nearly begged. She took in another breath. Settling herself.

“I'm curious."

“Lonely."

Poppy said. Her voice held a slight sad tone.

“Paced the halls endlessly. Hardly ever smiled. I don't think I heard him laugh until well after we gathered thirty or so workers. I remember him being quiet."

Lilith's heart broke a bit for him. Poppy nudged her shoulder and smiled.

“But seeing him now…what a change. You do good for him Lil."

“It's so strange to me. Coming from where I was to now. I'm the same but different. I'm allowed to have emotions and actually feel things. And…I'm so new to this sometimes the feelings confuse me."

She turned to Poppy. Focusing on her eyes.

“I feel so strangely for him lately. The best way I can explain it is; when I am with him it's like my heart is just singing in my chest. My head feels funny and I am all smiles."

“Someone has been bitten by that love bug."

Poppy teased with a laugh.

“Early too. Such a human. Or maybe it's fate, I dunno."

“Love?"

Lilith was confused. He was a demon. He couldn't love.

“He's a demon."

“I'm more saying for you Lil."

Her voice was softer then. Almost motherly.

“All that crap you described. Yeah, that's love hon. Like I said bit early but yeah."

“Early?"

“You've known him for a short time and already head over heels. Very human of you is all I'm saying. Demons “date" for hundreds of years before they decide to fall in love."

Lilith realized she had no knowledge of the way demons formed relationships. Maybe this was why Brogdrin didn't answer her the other night. About what they were. She had more said dating. And oddly enough his response was to call her human like Poppy.

“Should I tell him?"

“You could. That's up to you. Either way I am happy for him and happy for you."

Poppy patted her hand then stood up.

“I'm off. Duties to tend to. Don't you worry anymore about Alex. And try to have a good night with Brogdrin instead."

“Alright, thank you Poppy. Master definitely rubbed off on you a bit."

“Yes he did."

The night came and Lilith prepared to go to the gate. She was nervous and scared all over again. Like something was being taken from her. Dressing up warmly she readied herself mentally.

It was cold out. The air still and so quiet. Everyone was asleep in the castle. Not a light in sight but the crescent moon. The moonlight bathed the garden so brightly it was almost like daytime. Lilith's breath came out in a thick vapor as she exhaled. It was so quiet she finally started to understand what Brogdrin meant about the loudness of silence.

Alex soon joined her in the brush then a few others. All dressed in all their clothes and bags slung to their backs. Alex looked her up and down and asked.

“Where is your bag?"

“I'm not going."

Lilith said shaking her head.

“I'm going to stay and help others. I'll watch the grounds while you all leave. Others will want to leave once they see you all are free. I'll help them."

Alex nodded and patted Lilith's shoulder trustingly. She felt like a super spy.

“Smart. You're great Lilly. Thanks."

“Is everyone here?"

“Not yet. Soon."

Lilith nodded and stood up out the brush.

“Go wait by the gate and I'll send the others along after you."

Alex nodded and Lilith knew this was the last time she would ever see her. Lilith waited and watched. Few others came then soon Luna. She stopped her before running off and pleaded one more time.

“Stay…please…"

Luna sighed and shook her head.

“I can't."

“Then I love you."

Luna smiled and hugged her tightly.

“I love you too Lilly. Be safe."

“I will."

Luna squeezed her hand then ran off to join the others. Lilith settled back against the cold castle wall and let her tears flow. Sadden so harshly by this now. Anger long gone.

“Good bye."

As the last girl joined the group Lilith moved to the gate with them. Alex tugged the rope and the large door creaked open. Lilith felt the wind suddenly pick up. Alex heaved the rope and finally opened the door.

Looking out Lilith let out a loud gasp. Brogdrin stood there in his demon form. His silver eyes bright and piercing. He wasn't looking to her though. He stared at the others. Silent and fierce. The wind settled and the air went still again. Lilith could almost hear her heart beat. Brogdrin let out a deep growl and then spoke.

“This is your final warning. Turn back and I will show you mercy. Pass me and live with your choice."

Alex took off without a thought. Sprinting full speed around him. Lilith watched a few others dart away after her. Then the rest. Even Luna. Lilith held tight to the gate frame just watching in awe. Brogdrin turned and stared out into the grass field.

Alex hit the barrier first at full speed. Just inches after her body slumped down to the ground and slid to a stop. The others didn't have time to even process what had happened. They ran right to her falling as well. No screaming, no yelling. Just the sound of bodies thumping on the ground.

Lilith watched Luna drop and her heart broke into pieces. Closing her eyes she let out a sob. This was unlike any physical pain she had ever felt. The air quiet again she could hear Brogdrin turn and come to her side.

“I am sorry Little Flower."

She threw herself into his arms and sobbed into his fur. Breaking down to her emotions. He picked her up and went back into the gate. Closing it behind him suddenly they appeared in his bathroom. Lilith stopped crying instantly as he laid her down in a warm bath. Already scented with her lavender. As the water touched her, her clothes melted away to nothing. Just disappearing. She looked up to his muzzle, his sad eyes gazed back. Reaching out quickly she grabbed his paw.

“Don't leave."

“I am not. But I will not fit like this."

He let go of her hand and she watched as his fur melted off his body. Slowly he morphed back to the man she trusted so deeply. Stark naked he reached out for her hand again and asked.

“May I join you?"

Tears starting again she nodded and held her hands out to him.

“M…Master."

Lilith slept late the next day. As she awoke she could smell maple wafting through the air. Pushing herself up out of the blankets she fixed her nightgown, blinking towards the door. It was wide open and she could see Brogdrin busy in his kitchen. Smiling at the normality of her morning she hopped out of bed and nearly ran to join him.

“Good morning Master!"

He turned and caught her in a hug.

“Good morning Lilly. How did you sleep?"

“All in all actually pretty good."

She smiled against his shirt and squeezed him tightly.

“Taking a bath with you was fun too last night. We fit well together in there. I am surprised. You are tall."

He chuckled and pulled away to show her what he was making.

“Pancakes? Strawberry?"

“I had a rough night. I deserve it."

Brogdrin flipped the pancakes laughing. Lilith patted his back then wandered over to the table. She felt better. Still a bit sad but better. Brogdrin had treated her so sweetly until she fell asleep in his arms. Ready to get back to normal after breakfast she would eagerly return to the library.

Brogdrin plated a few pancakes in front of her with a red lily in the center.

“It's edible so no worry Little Flower."

Lilith sighed but smiled up to him.

“To make me happy?"

“My favorite job."

“You sir, are doing it well."

Lilith worked happily in her library that day. With everything finally being over it was like a sigh of relief. The castle whispered of the missing girls but no one said anything out loud. All beside Aspen. After lunch she found her and spilled to her.

“They're gone-gone Aspen."

“It's so shocking."

Aspen helped her put books away daily now. A good time for them to talk it was fun having her around this much.

“Can we not talk about that?"

“Fine. Now that Halloween is all said and done. We have Thanksgiving to plan for. Then Christmas! I like Christmas."

“I've never had a real one. I've read all about it. Excited for that to happen. What do we do here?"

“Whole month there is no work. We all take rotation turns in the kitchen cooking so everyone can just eat during the day whenever they want. Master gets a tree and we all decorate it together. All of us. It's starting to get crowded and Master keeps having to get bigger trees each year."

Aspen let out a laugh stretching her arms a lengths apart.

“Then we all write down two things we really want and Master makes one of them come true. Within reason of course."

“I know. No freedom. What did you ask for?"

“Last year was a dog or my telescope. I got the telescope. That was when I was into astrology. Kind of moved pass that this year. Now I want a microscope."

Lilith nodded and climbed down her ladder. Maybe she would ask for more bath salts. She liked that forest smell Brogdrin used for his soap.

“That sounds fun. What about Thanksgiving?"

“A grand feast. Master makes…pretty much the same speech every year. It's nice."

“And this is every year?"

Aspen laughed nodding her head.

“Yes Lil. Every year. Like a family."

“Halloween too?"

“Yep. Everything. We really are a family here. You'll see."

Lilith really did like it here. This was the home she had always dreamed up.

“Glad I will be here to see it."

Aspen nodded and hugged her suddenly.

“Me too Lil. Me too."

Lilith finished up in the library that night. She had finally found some books on demon “dating". It had more pages on the spell for making children than the actual courting of a mate. But a few others had different information. As she stowed them away for tomorrows reading time the clock chimed 7pm. Then her door opened. Brogdrin appeared and looked to her.

“Evening Lilly."

She smiled. Happy to see him.

“What can I do for you Master?"

“Two things actually."

He came over to the counter and picked her up from under the arms. She squeaked in surprise as he sat her on the counter then collided with her in a fierce kiss. His big body squeezed between her thighs as his hands wandered up under her shirt.

“I am frustrated and need to release some aggression. Let me have you. I won't hurt you."

Lilith wrapped her arms around his neck pulling him back into a kiss.

“Of course Master. Just a bit public here isn't it?"

“This is my castle. Those doors won't open unless I allow them too. Is that a yes?"

“Yes Master."

His hands pulled her worker pants down off her hips. She helped him get her free then watched him fumble with his own trousers. The need was almost palpable from him. He must have been upset about something.

Lilith guided him into her body, hooking her ankles behind his back. He let out a groan as their hips met. His head burying into her neck. Lilith gasped as he hit her center. Holding tight to him she kissed his ear and neck sweetly. Letting him just do as he pleased.

Muffling herself in his neck her nails dug into his back as his speed picked up. The counter she sat on knocked a bit under his force. He was growly and forceful now, not his normal sweet self. Lilith liked it.

Holding her where he wanted. His teeth nipping between soft kisses to her collar bone and shoulder. One hand planted behind her and his other curled around her lower back. Pulling her onto his length with each stroke.

A book fell off the counter startling Lilith. Her whole face red with embarrassment if anyone was to walk in right then. Her worker pants hung off one ankle locked around Brogdrin's wide body. He hammered in between her thighs. Burly and strong. She loved it.

Didn't take him long to force an orgasm out of her. His hand quickly covered her mouth as her legs pulled tight against him. A low hiss met her ears as he pushed his body as tight to hers as he could get. Spilling into her.

Lilith's eyes rolled back in her head as she groaned against his big hand. Her body trembling. Breathing heavily he moved his hand to kiss her.

She murmured again his lips. Still riding high. He tasted wonderful and loved the feeling of his soft tongue in her mouth. Letting out another moan she ran her hand down his shirt pulling away. He looked magnificent buried between her legs.

“You feel so good Master…you make my toes curl! First time that's ever happened."

He chuckled and pecked her cheek.

“You do the same for me. Your skills unmatched by you age."

“It's all the reading I do. Speed learning."

Brogdrin laughed again. He removed himself from her body and helped her redress. Standing shakily to her feet she reached to pick the book up off the ground.

“Glad no one came in sir. That would be so embarrassing."

“Adds to the spice."

He teased with a smile. Lilith giggled and fixed up her counter.

“Right…demon. Into those things sir. I forget. Now what was the second thing you needed?"

His smile faded and she watched his eyes fall to the ground.

“I need you to do something."

“I am ready."

Lilith promised him. She trusted him enough to say this. He nodded not meeting her eyes.

“Don't go out to the garden for a while. Please."

“Of course Master. Not a problem at all."

Replying with a smile. She adjusted her pants a bit. Her undergarments sticking to skin now.

“Was that all Master?"

He blinked surprised at her. Lilith just smiled and crossed her hands behind her back.

“Why so shocked? I am a good listener Master. You tell me not to do something and I won't do it."

“Not even going to ask why?"

“I am figuring it has something to do with what happened last night. Thank you for sparing me that sight sir."

Lilith had just started to be at ease with seeing Luna's death. She did not want to see her body strung up as a warning. He nodded and studied her face. Lilith was at ease though. He would find nothing.

“Alright, well."

Brogdrin fixed his shirt and smiled to her.

“It is our time now. Come with me back to our sanctuary."

Lilith nodded tugging at her pants.

“Yes please sir. I'd like to change."

“Oh?"

He teased.

“What-ever for?"

Lilith blushed squeezing her thighs together. She could feel his seed spilling out into her undergarments this whole time. A new feeling, she would admit she enjoyed it.

“I'm a mess sir…"

“Yes you are Little Flower. I do enjoy making messes with you."

She blushed but gazed to him.

“So do I Master. Is it weird that it gets me excited?"

“Not at all."

He growled and moved to kiss her.

“Glad I please you."

Lilith nodded and touched his face as they kissed. He was perfect.

“Let's go Master. I am getting hungry."

“Alright, I do yearn to see you walk back to my room like this. Go on then."

Her cheeks on fire she nodded thinking of all the workers she would have to pass as they walked.

“Yes sir."

Lilith made it back to Brogdrin's room without dying of embarrassment. She showered, changed into her favorite nightgown, and then ate with Brogdrin. He cooked for them often now. Before just gathering food from the kitchen for them. Now she ate from his family recipe book locked in his mind. It was sweet.

After they ate Brogdrin took his turn to bath as Lilith got their bed ready. Puffed up his pillows and set the blanket across the soft sheets. It was a bit warm tonight so she opened his window just a bit. Quickly she stripped out of her undies and fixed her nightgown.

Brogdrin returned with a towel wrapped around his waist. She watched him go to his dresser and pick up the wolf paw pendant. She smiled as she saw him put it over his head. First thing he did out the bath. He really did like it.

“Master?"

“Yes Lilly?"

“I was talking to Aspen and she said you give gifts for Christmas?"

Brogdrin nodded and smiled over to her.

“Small things I try and grant. You get one too so make sure you think about what you want."

Lilith nodded and snuggled into bed overtop his blanket.

“What about you?"

“What about me?"

“What do you want for Christmas Master?"

Brogdrin shrugged his shoulders and started digging for shorts to wear.

“I have everything I want already. My castle, my land, my workers, you."

Lilith smiled over at him and leaned up on her elbow.

“Asking for me doesn't count sir. I'm already here. There has to be something?"

“Not that I can think of right now. I have two months so I'll figure it out."

Lilith watched as he dropped his towel finding his shorts. Lilith's eyes danced down his body to his center. At rest he hung low and thick. It made her insides tingle with want.

“Master."

She sang to him. He grunted and looked over to her.

“Yes?"

“Why put shorts on if we are going to bed?"

She danced her fingers up her outer thigh, raising her nightgown.

“They will just get removed later."

His eyes narrowed on her and a low growl left him.

“Do you ask this of me?"

She nodded and moved to lay out on her back.

“Yes please sir."

Brogdrin dropped his shorts and came right over to her. He slipped into bed beside her and wrapped her up in his arms.

“For you, I'd do anything."

Lilith smiled as he kissed her cheek.

“It's this nightgown Master. Puts thoughts in my head."

“Good thoughts I see. Does that mean I get a yes to touch you?"

“Yes please sir. I like falling asleep in your arms after riding such a high like that."
