Theia and the Gorgon
This is an adult work if you are not 18(21 in some evil places) I must ask you to leave now. Note: Gorgons have been reworked so many times over the centuries that in researching for this story I found three distinctly different types I'm using a mix of Greek and Hindu so it's a Gorgon/Naga I shell call her Gorga...no, that's just lame: Theia and the Gorgon (Inspired by Greek myths) Long ago before the gods held power over all things, there were the titans. When god's and titans clashed, all things changed. It was Gaia who created the first Gorgons, to aid in the battle with the gods yet even this was not enough. The titans fell and Zeus crowned himself king of the havens, and banished the surviving titans. The Gorgon sisters to dangerous to confront were sent to the farthest islands to the west, Euryale, Stheino and Medusa there immortality striped away, they were killed over years by man for the power held in there blood and eye's. The last gorgon life was ended by Perseus who presented her severed head to Athena. So it was for centuries. Until. Born in a small settlement on the island of Cythera, a child who's true name long since forgotten by all but the fates themselves. She was a beauty that seemed to embody the term. Flawless complex skin soft as silk, eyes of the moon and stars. As is often true everything comes at a price, a simple slip of the tongue of an old man describing her as Aphrodite made flesh would end her joyful life. And so it was that the true Goddess of love, lust, and beauty did place a curse on the girl, twisting her form into that of the forgotten monsters of the past. Hair of serpents, long legs replaced by serpent's tail. Her flawless skin ripped and piled leaving her with shiny scales that shimmered and shined changing coolers In the light of the sun, her tongue grew long and forked and her eye's, the most cruel of curses were made into the greatest site that could be beheld on earth. There elliptical centers surrounded by a constantly changing iris's shifting ever color that the Gaia had ever devised. Sadly a mere glimpse of this wonder will be the final spectacle you're eye's ever witness turned to stone for all time only to be freed upon the gorgon demise. Athena outraged at Aphrodite's action of re-spawning the gorgons that she had made sure were no more, called forth her father, king of the heavens Zeus. His anger shook the sky and earth, as he drew forth a great bolt of lighting from the heavens above and hurled it forth at the only to discover the child was indeed empowered fully by Gorgon blood. Unharmed and still in shock form her transformation the child threw herself upon the ground thinking the brilliant flash she had see was meant only to frighten her. She begged and cried at the feet of the King of the Gods never once looking upon him. Zeus was wise, he new that as the child was he nor any god could kill her yet she could easily strike one of them down to mortal life, were they not prepared for her assault. Thinking how best to contain the danger he grabbed hold of Aphrodite arm, and proclaimed to the world. "Return to Olympus, Await my return. Athena you have dealt with the like of theses creatures before, however I ask that you spear its life for as long as it behaves loyally." Athena knowing the true meanings of Zeus took the girl to a cave on the main Greek lands. There she would remain were the power that was forced upon her would be contend. Cursed by one god and imprisoned by the others she lost all faith in Olympus. Immortal she waited in the darkest depths of her cavern. Days turned to months, then years. Years gave way to decades and century and yes even millennium past, during this time no mortal had ever come to her cave and the Gods of Olympus kept her as there pet in her cage. Outside the world changed many times empires grew and fell, mankinds rose to rival the gods themselves and were struck down like the titans before them. Artemis goddess of the hunt and animals convinced the court of Olympus that she could craft a new being who would honor them as they should using the beast of the world, and so the world is how it is. For four millennium, the Gorgon girl coiled in her cave time as meaningless for her as the gods. Her family gone, mankind gone she was as a relic of that world. Twelve more centuries, and the new races flourished under there Gods watchful eye's. It is at this time the child's story begins a new, a story of love, loss and death at the hands of the Gods. * * *
(New Athens Mid-day) "Theia, are you awake child your father needs you in the fields" "Mom, that's males work." "We have no son, so you will assist your family as needed. Now go young lady!" The sun is high in the day's sky; Theia's father is a shepherd as was her grandfather and his father before that. There small home sits on the outskirts of the ancient city, behind it a large filed that ended on the foot hills of a mention. Its old stone slopes well eroded by time, no longer tall enough to be caped in snow instead its summit is green and lush. "Theia! I need you to take this lashing and fetch a sheep that has strayed into the hills. It should not have gotten far. I would have gone after it but the wolves have been out the past few days." "Yes father..." "Be respectful! You spend to much time daydreaming there is nothing else for you in this life but this, the sooner you understand that the sooner you can fined peace in life." Theia begins her clime of the low hills they are not difficult her sharp claws easily grip the soft earth. Artemis had crafted her ancestors from a small house cat, as such she was petite and slender. Her fur a pail cream that blends to a reddish tone at her paws, face and tail tip. Nimbly she steps across the hilled earth complaining to herself she rather be writing. If only the muses would bestow her a more profound gift instead of the momentary flashes of brilliance she was know for. Cresting a small hill among many large ones she spies the lone sheep or what's left of it. "By the Gods they ripped the poor thing in half!" She drew closer knowing that she would have to bring back some proof of its demise or she would be scolded for not looking hard enough and making up lies...again. As she drew closer to the place of the kill she noticed a strange depression near the corps. Once closer she realized it was a hole the rock had given way to a cavern below, peering down she was shocked to see a wolf seemingly ready to pounce on a unseen threat. Yet it would never move again. Intrigued she tied the lashing off on a tree and carefully climbed down. It was not as deep as she had thought in fact with a good jump she could pull her self out without the aid of the lashing. Her eyes adjusted quickly to the dim light, around her three stone wolves stood all pointing down a tunnel to her right. Gorgons were not known to her people or any people in the world, only to Gods and the few remaining Titians. Her curiosity drove her onward. "How strange to put such statues down here, I wonder how long they have been here? Wow, there so realistic that's increasable they carved individual strands of fur that must have taken years." After examining the statues to the smallest detail she had to move down the path, what other wonders were down here unseen for untold time. Theia moved slowly not wanting to trip over the uneven ground, or at lest that what she first thought. The cave floor was actually worn smooth. As she moved deeper the walls became less rough and more rounded. Soon she saw more statues of many creatures that are often found in caves many bats sat unmoving in there perch. The sound of a serpent echoed past her ears and a voice. "I grow tired of this...what was I to do, I can not have wolves running about in my... Athena..." Too far to hear all that is said she calls out wondering who could it be that is down in this place. She moves with a greater pace trying to catch up to the sounds she hears up ahead. "Hello! Is some one there?" Deep in the cavern ears that have not heard the speech of mortals in time nearly immeasurable cause the gorgons mind to go blank confused she has no idea what the words mean she has only spoke in the way of the Gods that all life understands for so long. "Mortal are you? Come for my blood? You will stand as a warning for the rest of time, to all who dear enter my den Athena be damned!" The gorgon girl raced back down the tunnel, anger had built so strong over the years she had been imprisoned in this cavern, Grinding the stone floors smooth with her constant movements. This would have likely been the end of Theia, if the floor had been just a little less smooth she may not have slipped at that moment and struck her head. The pain saved her from an eternity as stone, closing her eyes tight as she rubbed her sore head. The Gorgon came upon the girl and for the first time saw something she had never invasion to her, another monster, cursed by the gods likely sent here to rot along with her. "What are you? I have seen all the works of Gaia you are not of them." "Ouch, awe my head, what..." Her gaze begins to travel up the gorgons forms but before it reaches her head she strikes the girls face away. "Fool! Do you wish to be stone? I am a gorgon looking upon me is a curse more powerful then the Gods themselves. Even they must shield there eyes to gaze at me." Theia mind goes dark long before the gorgons warning was spoken struck harder then intended. The gorgon now forced to carry the girl farther into the cavern if she was to lean what she was. The deepest was of course her own chamber, decorated by nymphs over the ages, the room was draped with silken tapestries in the center of the room was a single remaining stalagmite carved smooth from floor to ceiling, the water that formed it long since dried out and now around its base is a soft round bed. This was a gift from Apollo, he simply said an immortal no matter its blood should never have to sleep upon hard stone. It is here she places the girl then with a pinch of sorrow she took a thick black cloth form one of the tables that was pushed agents a side wall tying it over her two gorgons eye's. The five serpents that made up her hair twitched at this disturbed that there eyes would have to supplement hers. Equally spaced along her head starting at ear high they normally lay gently on her shoulders, the fifth switching from on side to the other depending on how it fells a that time being the largest of the five and set center on her scalp the only one of the five with its own set of fangs and a hood that gives fair warning to all. Now it has raised it self up looking down from its perch, golden eyes scanning the room for its owner. The gorgon takes a small blade form the table and pricks a finger on her right hand. This is important because blood form the right side of a gorgons body is said to have godlike healing properties were as the blood form the left is a deadly poison that nothing can survive. Genteelly she rubs the blood across the gums of Theia. No sooner had it made contact did she bolt awake. Terrified and with the metallic taste of blood in her moth she panics and tries to pull away. The bed she is on, being round for a gorgon to coil on, is not very wide and she quickly falls to the pillow laden floor. "I beg you mercy!" "Calm yourself, I have no need of your suffering. It would seem the Gods have punished you enough. Tell me girl, which one did you anger to be turn into that?" "What?...I ...I don't understand." "Truly you must remember being human at one time, so long has past and yet I still remember the fell of grass between my toes, yet as you can see toes are something I no longer have." "Whoman, what's a whoman?" "What's a human? How can you ask that? They... I know I have a bust of Athena in human form that should work one moment." The bust was old the white stone it was carved of had long since turned gray but the features of the goddess were still clean and easily seen. "That's not like any image of Athena I've ever seen? She's normally a strong lioness or sometimes an eagle. I have never seen anything like that before." "That can not be. When I was placed in this cave there were billons they could not all be gone this is a trick they have sent you to confuse me!" "No gorgon we have not." "By the Gods the stone talks!" "Yes Theia, long ago in fact this was a very common way for use to speak to mortals it is why this gorgon has one. However this should not have happened your curiosity has endangered everything I have done to make sure she never leaves this place. Because of that I mus..." "You will do nothing! Answer me Athena what has transpired outside, why dose she not know of your true from. What have you and your power mad siblings done?" "Watch your forked tongue gorgon! You speak to a God! You will show me respect! As for the people you speak of there all dead. Cast into the fires of Tartarus, and if not for Aphrodite's mistake you would have joined them long ago. For twelve centuries they have been gone you are the last thing that remembers them in any kind ways. The Gods past there judgment on them for high crimes gorgon I would have seen you destroyed with them but Zeus is still pleased that you offered you blood to his son to spear his life from the reach of death. She will leave this place and never speak of it to anyone. If she dose her fate shell mirror yours!" The stone head returns to its lifeless state, in a fit of rage the gorgon throws the bust down the caverns entrance shattering across the floor. "The arrogance! You! Do as you have been commanded never return! Speak to no one! If you do however fear not, ill kill you before they suffer you with my curse." "Wait, I still don't understand. Please if I have to be silent at least answer my questions first pleas." "...Very well. I haven't spoken in so long it will be enjoyable....:" The gorgon tells her epic, tells of what she once was and why she is what she is now. She covers her history and the long time spent in this cave. "What about your name? You said you can't remember it, why is that?" "It was taken form me, I am a monster the most hideous thing ever crated by Gaia." "No, you're not hideous, perhaps the humans thought that but to me your...yum you know." "What, ...please say it please it will mean so much to me" "Your.. O this is so embarrassing my ears fell like there on fire, you're very attractive there I said it." "Attractive? You really mean that?" The cloth that covers her yes dampens as tears build up into it, the two sit in silence for hours neither one wanting to let the moment end. Soon the two are embroiled in a deep passionate kiss the gorgons tail coiling around the little feline form, the two swept away in the moment of pleasure tumble across the floor, Theia legs rap around the slender gorgon tail and grinds her sex agents that of the gorgons. Time passes and there pleasure grows so long had she been imprisoned that any touch was nearly more then her mind could handle and no force in haven or earth could have parted them at that moment. Trapped in this moment of passion overwhelmed by a force the two had not even realized was part of the moment. As the two enjoy another passionate kiss and hand grabs the fabric that protects Theia form the gorgons gaze in an instant as there kiss breaks there eyes meet. The last thought the passes her mind is the amazing colors. The gorgon screams out in pain and loss, held tight by the now stone arms of the girl who had seen past the monster. "That is what happens Gorgon, when you forget your place. I was banned form ever touching the new mortals flesh why should you get what I can not, was it good for you beast." Aphrodite's laugh turns to a shriek as the fifth serpent's fangs sink into her immortal flesh. Immediately the goddess flawless skin begins to turn black and dead gorgon venom is incurable crafted by Gaia to kill even gods. "No, Aphrodite you should have remembered your place, you gave me the power of a monster created to kill your kind. Once I break free of this poor girls grip I'm going to find the surviving Titians I know there are some still out there, I know because the sky is still in the sky, the earth is still solid and the wind still blows! The ancient war is about to start again and you created the only one who could end your own evil. Perhaps you once were a god of love but you turned to hatred long before even I was born." With the Gorgon's words still ringing in her ears, The Goddess Aphrodite's glowing eyes begin to fade the shield that protected her form the gorgons gaze fading away with every passing second. I can not wait to for the day the gorgon comes to free me, so long have I been crawling across this desert of lost souls, soon, soon the others will come and set me free, I Chronos shell be Free! All because of the arrogance of the Gods and a Gorgon named Saoirse
