Yawning in the same usual way that I always do when I wake up, I slowly pushed myself up and stretched. As I did so, another yawn decided to play my lips and as always I was happy to do so. After several minutes I assured myself that whatever had popped out of my computer wasn't here to hurt me. If it was, it would've chased after me the moment I screamed like a little girl so after deciding this, I swallowed my heart back into my chest and slowly crept back upstairs towards my bedroom. There I paused with my heart pounding in my ears once more before taking several breathes and peered inside.

At that I turned back to see my computer monitor was normal so I figured to do something about it. Maybe if I learned more about the digital world then maybe I'll be able to figure out how to get her home. And out of my house.

"Okay so let's start with what you are." Looking over at her I asked what she was and she answered quickly. Veemon so I did the only thing that could possibly answer it. Google. God how much I love that thing, having the answers to everything you could to possibly answer it. Because of it I came up with a great little motto. Don't know the answer? Google it! At least I think I made it. Can't really recall any more.

And so I did, quickly learning of what it was she is and was surprised to find out why she was in our world. "Says here you will only appear when a person receives a 'Digi-egg of courage' and 'a Digi-vice.' Whatever those are." Spinning in my chair I smiled warmly at her. "So if we find the person so has them, they may be able to get you home!"

The Veemon only sighed discouraged. "But where are we suppose to find them?!" She whined and I turned back to the computer, my fingers dancing across the keyboard.

"Well maybe I can find an answer that can make it easier." I murmured only to blink suddenly. My screen went fuzzy again and I smacked the side of the monitor. I should have learned by then that it meant something was coming but of course, I was dumb. The next thing I knew, a small blue device smashed into my face making me moan in pain as I sat up. But it wasn't as bad as when an egg the size of my head with flaming colours smashed into me, making both me and the chair fall back onto the floor.

Above Veemon bent down to stare at me, a small smile of laughter on her face. "You were right." She snickered as I groaned out loud, my nose rather red at that moment. "You did find the answer."

"Era." I paused and turned to look at her and she in turn did the same. "My name." She explained as she pointed at herself with a clawed finger. "My name is Era." I nodded as I stood up and held my hand out, she taking it gladly as I helped her to her feet.

And that was when it started. Shortly after, a mere three days of hiding her somehow in my basement from my parents (a feat in which even now they are baffled), more Digimon began to appear. But unlike Era, these ones weren't all sunshine and daisies. No these bastards were either small and vicious, or large and destructive. They kept coming too, for some years they continued to appear from what me and Era began to call 'rifts,' portals to the Digi-world. And it was up to us to send them back.

But despite the dangers, despite the many times I've faced death as a kid, they were some of the happiest moments of my life. I've met many new people, others like me who had obtained their own digimon a of various personalities and abilities, in different shapes and sizes. And most if all, I got to know Era more and more with each victory we made. To those with whom we travelled together with, thank you.

But enough of this mushy stuff, this is about me after all. Back to what we did. You see everyday we had Digimons of the Digital World come to ours only to be sent back by us. During these battles we had learned more and more about what we were, who our partners were, and how to help them Digivolve. We were all surprised when we first did it, change our friends into powerful fighting machines and especially me.
