Lab 09 KOS-MOS Development Area

KOS-MOS was dreaming... most of the humans didn't even know she had dreams... she usually kept this quiet for a reason... since they were quite disturbing... to them at least, most thought of her as little more than a machine... they did not know that it was the machinery that made her that way when she was active, all her thoughts and feelings were overidden by logic, protocol and algorithims... she despised it, she wanted to be free of it... and she knew that soon she would have to start over anyway, and would have to hope again that Shion would think with her head in the end this time, but she never did, always choosing Kevin over common sense, which inevitably got her and Shion killed every time... it was mundane... however when she dreamed she could be free... her mind wandered... and many things happened in them, no dream was ever truly alike, even after reset, this one was an exception, however, she had been having it for some time now, and liked it, it was odd, but enjoyable.

Every time, it would start the same... she would wake up on a ship, an unusual one, but the crew would remember her, and one in particular liked her, and something else, in this one her body was organic, she loved it... Every day she looked forward to it after all the mundane test she had done billions of times before, a boring routine but this dream was something she could look forward to, she thought it a sign that things were changing, that maybe Shion would grow that last brain cell she needed to save the universe, and maybe her as well...

What KOS-MOS could never understand was how someone so intelligent as Shion could be so incredibly stupid, not to see that Kevin was just using her, nor that Kos-Mos actually despite many attempts could never get Shion to remove the damned control systems that kept her in chains... her last attempt ended in utter failure, she tried the most daring plan yet, uploading a virus that would in turn infect herself and cause her to try and become a nekomimi, needless to say Shion despite her brilliance failed to see the obvious signs she left in the code, much less the obvious nature of the whole situation.

But she had thought enough about things she had no control over, now she could enjoy her night aboard this odd ship...

and finally she woke up... in the bedroom they assigned her, the crew belonging to some odd group called Star Fox, was lead by a odd creature, named John Mccloud, yet everyone just called him fox, it seemed here they often named people after their species, but unlike a fox, he was bipedal and quite intelligent and to KOS-MOS... quite attractive, the other crew members were odd as well, the one who seemed to want to study her rather than talk was named slippy, she had no idea why... the mechanic was quite curious about Vector's technology, and to a major degree was, namely common sense, was much more intelligent than Shion, the man if you could even call him that was a male toad, and obviously a dwarf, as he was only 4ft tall, but despite this, was incredibly curious... annoyingly so, and then there was that egotistical bird, Falco, KOS-MOS disliked him, he reminded her too much of Tony, mixed with Rubedo, a horrifying thought in its own right... made a nightmare whenever he interrupted her and John... which was to say constantly, she also met a rather enigmatic vixen named Krystal, who seemed to be in a relationship with John, yet, distanced herself when she was around... Krystal even said outright once that she knew about KOS-MOS's world and that this time Zarathustra would get blown to bits, and that KOS-MOS would end up killing T-ELOS somehow, but despite this, KOS-MOS had her doubts... especially that last part, yet despite that, she seemed to be a good friend... always keeping KOS-MOS in good spririts.

The ship was a small dreadnought with little armament, and even less impressive specs.... but that didn't matter to her... she got up and put on her uniform, she had become quite accustomed to... it was sleek attractive, and was comfortable... as she got up however she noticed that there was a note on her desk... she opened and read it... it was John's handwriting... it said "meet me on the bridge... and don't let birdbrain follow you... knock his feathered ass out if you have to... he's pissed me off enough today..." KOS-MOS smiled at this invitation to kick Falco's ass... and wondered why John was inviting her to the bridge much less didn't want her to be followed... she was curious...

KOS-MOS walked out of her quarters and walked down the hall hoping to see Falco and kick his ass righteously, last time, she was flying an Krystal's cloudrunner and Falco thought it would be funny if he tampered with the G-Diffusors, the result nearly killed Krystal with Over-G forces and KOS-MOS as well, she wanted to personally show Falco how funny she thought it was to hurt her closest friend...

As she walked down the hallway she noticed Falco arguing with Krystal about just that very subject... she smiled... as KOS-MOS came up to Falco, she said "Falco.."

the idiot turned to face KOS-MOS and said "yeah what ya need?" in his usual arrogant tone... KOS-MOS looked at Krystal and smiled then back at Falco then said "I clearly remeber how much you lauhged at Krystal's and my suffering over your "harmless" prank... however... at this time I do feel it necessary and quite pleasing to respond..." she grinned as Falco said "oh ya finally download a sense of humor?" KOS-MOS replied "sure as long as you hold still" she leaned in close acting as if she were going to kiss him, he fell for it, she quickly performed a punch to his abdomen followed by a knifehand to his neck, then a double roundhouse that completely staggered him... dazed and confused the bird tried to regain his bearings, KOS-MOS smiled, then jumped forward and did a somersault kick knocking him clean into the air... and he hit the ground unconscious... KOS-MOS smiled as slippy and Krystal watched... then as KOS-MOS left she remarked "well I gues he can fly... sort of..." the two busted out laughing... as she walked into the elevator... she said "bridge" and the lift began to move.

She arrived on the bridge... and saw John at the edge, staring into space... he seemed sad... then turned around and walked up to KOS-MOS... and said... "ya know... once they start that shit with T-ELOS we won't be able to see each other till after Zarathustra is destroyed..." KOS-MOS asked quizzacally "why do you say that?"

John responded... because "our world doesn't exist yet... but after you blow that damned thing to bits... We are gonna be brought into your world... quite violently... but it will be fine... look at this..." he said as he pointed to the display... it showed KOS-MOS missing her arm, and her legs, with massive damage drifting towards earth... KOS-MOS now horrified said "what??! but that.." John cut her off saying "its Krystal's last reading from you... and we now know the coordinates... and slippy has learned enough from you to repair you when we get there... you don't know this... but me and Krystal broke up a while back... and well I..." KOS-MOS noticed him being embarrassed... and said "what is it John?" he replied "please call me Fox everyone else does... anyway after tonight... I'm not going to see you for a while, about six months really, Krystal and Slippy have already finished preparations for our journey to Sol... and we have a warp drive to do it with... and the equipment to repair your body, and even give you your body that you currently inhabit... we have cloned it exactly, and once repairs on your damaged form are finished we will transfer you and your equipment into it... it uses the Aparoid tech you decoded... without it... well we would have no hope of saving you... and well since this could be our last night together... I wanted us to enjoy it."

KOS-MOS was astounded by this... she looked at the data... it was correct... it would work... assuming Shion grew that last brain cell... she looked at John, and knew... she was in love with him after four months together on and off, she couldn't really hide it... nor could John... KOS-MOS blushed... and looked at John... then hugged him... and said "don't make a girl a promise... if you know you can't keep it..." John looked at her and smiled... then said "I would rather die than break this promise..." KOS-MOS looked into his eyes and kissed him... she knew that she loved him... and may never see him again... dream or not, she wanted this... badly... she kissed him deeply and enjoyed every second... he hugged her tightly and embraced her... as she played with his tongue she felt him getting hard, she didn't shy away though... she began taking off his outfit... and began to kiss his neck... and he responded by removing KOS-MOS's uniform, and she felt a bit odd... like this was right to her... she noticed he smelled good, he always used some kind of shampoo that made him smell like a peppermint... it was nice... she said to him "I... I want to be with you... I don't want to wake up from this" she thought back on what shion said on the Woglinde, about how right she was... she didn't want to wake up now... it made her want to cry... she kissed John as he fondled her breasts... her skin now pink from embarrassment... she then pressed him down onto the deck... and began kissing his fur... it tasted odd, but she liked it, as she kissed him she pressed her slit up against his leg, he kissed her all over, sucking on her nipples and playing with her long blue hair... she wanted him... and she was about to have him, if only for a night... she sat up and looked at him longingly, she wanted him to make her his... she smiled as he laid on top of her, his member demanding entry, she teased him a bit... by closing her legs slightly, and laughed a bit... then let him in... he pressed it up against her slit, before pushing it in, it hurt a bit, he was larger than she thought and she felt something tear inside her... she knew she wasn't a virgin anymore... as he pushed it all the way in she kissed him... and he began to move... Fox said "I promise, now go kick their asses..." she smiled oddly at peace... then forced herself to wake up... she woke up in her maintenance bay... hearing gunfire and what sounded like a howitzer, she felt the testament carrying the bay... to her right... she quickly punched through it and grabbed Voyager's hand... and decided... today that she was going to make her own future... to make her dream a reality... and so she did what she did best... she kicked his ass... and followed through, killed T-ELOS then promised to give her the life she could never have... as she assimilated her essence... she had fully awakened... now all she had to do... was finish the fight...

After the final battle with Zarathustra... KOS-MOS and Yeshua watched as the stars burned out... and creation played in reverse... the universe freezing in half light...

Once she thought to escape... to end the end a master, step out of the path of collapse, escape would make us God, but KOS-MOS could not help but remeber one enigma... a hybrid elsuive destroyer... it was the only mystery she had not yet solved... the only element left unaccounted for. even Wilhelm was no more. He had preserved the eternal circle for countless cycles, but in the end, frozen by despair even he joined the chaos he sought to prevent...

Now six months later... KOS-MOS was drifting... she was dead a thousand times... hopeless encounters successfully won. A woman long dead... Grafted to machines her builders did not understand... She followed the path... fitting into an endless pattern... hers to manipulate, to destroy and rebuild... she heard a voice... it was U-DO... "I know who you are... You are Destiny..." with that she woke up... her eyes opened and she was inside a pod... she was naked... but she saw... something... as the pod opeened and the smoke cleared... it was... T-ELOS... she thought she was losing her mind... but remebered she was dead, they both were... she looked and saw him... she moved forward and fell to her knees... coughing and spitting up some lemon flavord slime... she got up and looked at him and said "you... kept you're promise..." she staggered towards him... and he met her midway... embracing her... she asked "why is T-ELOS standing there?" still a bit groggy and not fully with it... he said "well we fixed your body... there was no sense in wasting it, so we decided to upload ROB into it... well that ended badly... instead it changed into her... ROB's gone... but she has been quite helpful and said something about you making her a certain promise..." KOS-MOS looked at T-ELOS and said "i did didnt i" T-ELOS said with a grin, "well now im your sister... I am going to love this... thank you..." KOS-MOS said "you're welcome... Fox... let's go somewhere a little more quiet..." as she turned to him... a huge smile on her face... he said "well don't get too excited, since we already have the Elsa on sensors, and earth knows about us and you guys from some video games called Star Fox, and Xenosaga... go figure.. we're all heroes and they have no idea we are here... now Beltino's working on a way to get us out of this universe before it collapses... all of us. Earth, Lylat, and the survivors aboard the Dammerung, and the Federation fleets... but its gonna be a while... but we can pull it off... and guess what Andross did do something useful, that wormhole he created, well its now the focus of our efforts to escape... he said something in a log file... that escape would make us gods..."

KOS-MOS said "Ye Shall be As Gods... huh..." Fox then said "yeah that... anyway hope you don't mind being a celebrity... because this is gonna be interesting..." KOS-MOS kissed Fox as they left the lab... everyone was cheering... except T-ELOS who said as she passed KOS-MOS "thank you for saving me... I will always be grateful... now lets enjoy the lives you died for us to have" she remembered everything that led up to this... and hugged Fox as they headed out to have a good night.. since the next day and indeed the rest of their lives... would be very interesting... very interesting indeed.

The end... or is it just the beginning...
