Part 10a: Tokyo, Japan (Cat & Crypto, Part 1)

Once the plane had taxied to a halt and the warning lights had gone off, Ace's voice came through the intercom. Everyone unbuckled and started to get up and move around, stretching their legs after the 9 hour first leg of their flight. Some of them had been to Tokyo before, but some had not and were planning on seeing what they could while the plane refueled. None of them would forget the mission, but if it was 'forced' downtime anyway, they might as well enjoy it.

Crypto took Cat's hand and stood up, leaving his laptop bag behind, bringing only his cell. “Let's ditch most of the electronics and just go check out the city for a few minutes, eh? If we spot somewhere that looks good to eat, we'll see if we can get the food delivered. If not, we'll just ask Ace where the best food is, she looks like she knows a thing or two about Japan."

Chameleon and Blade and their wives were getting ready to leave, but it looked like Tzar and Zlata were going to stay behind, probably for safety. Ice and Snow got up and headed out of the plane as well, together, but Snow hung back for a moment as if she wanted to wait for Radar, then stepped out into the sunlight, unsure if he would even be leaving.

Sambuca, for his part, stayed right where he was, hanging around for a moment until Radar emerged from the cockpit and stretched, looking around as if to find Snow. Sam approached him and words were exchanged. Radar grinned and chuckled and spoke for a moment with animated hand gestures, then patted Sam on the back and the both of them left the plane together.

Bullet spoke to Skorch in a low voice, as Timber stayed back with Tzar and Zlata. The dragon and salamander went to get food for the trio staying behind. Both had been to Tokyo before, so it didn't take them long to find something and get the food to go for five of them.

Cat left her bag on her seat, but dug out her cell phone from it, unhooking it from the ministation and slipped it into her back pocket. Her other hand remained in Crypto's and she nodded. “We can ask her just in case on the way off the plane, but there's bound to be somewhere to find what we want. I mean, it IS Tokyo, after all." She moved to his side, her hand sliding from his, just long enough for her to slide it into his back pocket, and giving him the chance to slip his arm over her shoulder and tuck her closer to him.

Crypto nodded and once they were both ready he walked toward the front of the plane. Knocking on the cockpit door, he pushed it open and popped his head in. “Hey Ace, you know any good places for food that are close by? We thought about taking a walk and if we can walk toward food that would be better," he laughed. “If not, we'll just order into the plane and eat here when we get back. Didn't know if you had any recommendations or anything."

Ace looked up from the instruments, noting numbers in a log, and smiled over at them. “One of my favorite places is Nanosato. It's actually in the main building of the airport, so you won't miss it. But if you want to get out of the airport to try something, Inaba Wako is less than half a mile from the airport, so within walking distance from here. Nanosato is perfect with its pageantry - they cook the food at the table." Cat looked at Crypto, both places sounding interesting to her. But the final decision she'd let him make, especially since she didn't know anything about the actual cuisine from either place Ace mentioned.

Crypto didn't exactly know anything about the Japanese cuisine either, but both of the places that she mentioned sounded good. “Great, thanks." He gave Ace a nod and then ducked his head back in, heading for the stairs out of the plane, “Well, if we want to be kinda quick and not go far, the Airport is good, but it's also bound to be packed with lots of people just showing up to eat from various planes, or eating before they leave. So we may want to make the walk, which will give us a chance to stretch our legs and maybe get a little ways away from the airport too."

Cat thought about it then smiled up at him, “We did have the idea of taking a walk, so let's stretch our legs and go to the further one. Who knows? Maybe there's something we see that we want to get along the walk. And we have our phones to take pictures, if we want to get some taken." She held on tight to him, knowing it was going to take a lot of willpower for her to take this half mile walk with him. But Crypto was her rock, and as long as he was with her, she could do anything.

Crypto and Cat had moved on from the others, roughly following the directions that Ace had provided on how to get to the restaurant. They were in no real hurry, since the plane had to get refueled anyway and everyone had to also 'refuel' on lunch from various places. So they could take their time. There were people literally everywhere though, but none of them even cared about the extra two people in their midst. They were able to just stay to the side for the most part and walk with his arm around her shoulder, “It's amazing how sometimes being in a crowd of people is the same as being alone. All of them have their own troubles, their own thoughts, so that they don't notice you. It's kinda the same for cyber security and things. Everyone goes on with their lives and never even notices the little security intrusions…. But you know what, I should shut up about stuff like that. We're out here alone looking for food and being tourists, not hackers."

Cat was holding tight to Crypto, her agoraphobia and anthropophobia trying to freeze her up as she walked along the edge of the crowd of people hurrying here or there in the airport. She was starting to sweat as she fought her fears, her breathing starting to come faster as they threatened to overwhelm her. Seeing a shop, she veered from the crowd, pulling Crypto behind her to it. Entering the store, she started to calm down as the press of bodies around or just near her dropped off to something she could handle better. She picked up a fan, opened it, and started fanning herself with it, as she looked around, trying to get her breath back and her heart under control.

Crypto had hoped that with him by her side and the fact that none of the people were really noticing them, she would be better able to handle the stress of walking through the airport. He could feel her getting more and more tense though, her fingers got slick and he heard her breathing increasing. So he wasn't exactly surprised when she suddenly yanked him off into one of the many small shops that lined the thoroughfares in the airport. “Hey hey…" he cooed softly as she frantically fanned herself with one that she pulled off a rack. He reached up to stroke her hair back from her face where some of the stray strands were sticking to her forehead, “Shhh… you'll be ok."

In the small shop, Cat was able to slowly calm down, slipping into his arms and holding tight to him. Her face was lifted towards his, her focus solely on him as she fought back her demons. It wasn't so much her agoraphobia causing this reaction, but her anthropophobia. It was the fact that there were so many people near her. Her body trembled in his arms, mentally battling her dual fears into submission. She wasn't going to let them win. Not on this mission! Finally, the trembling stopped and she stretched up on her toes to kiss him. “Thank you," she whispered against his lips, then sank back to her flat-footed height and rested her cheek against his chest for a few more moments.

“Hey, no problem baby." Crypto said to his girlfriend as she thanked him for being there. He held her tightly and kissed her back, then kissed the top of her head, “You know, just being here in Japan is like some kind of dream come true. I've flown all over the world, but it's really been more like 'work trips' each time. I did get to go to South Korea once for a programming convention and that was pretty epic, but I've always wanted to come to Japan and just explore. They have given Nerds so much over the years…" He laughed, winking at her as if to tell her that he meant anime and hentai, “We should make coming her for a vacation a priority." Jason was just trying to get her mind off of things, help her to think about something else.

Cat nodded to Crypto, holding him tight as she finally gained control over her fears. Taking a deep breath, she lifted her head, “I'd like that too, but I don't think we have time now. And I think we need to get me further along in my therapy with Tara before we try the full touristy experience." She looked at the fan in her hands, then got an idea. “Get me a few more of these, babe. I have an idea that I want to try on some of them when we get home. And I want to give Tara, Isabella and Zlata one each too."

Crypto nodded, “I'm just rambling. I know you'll need time, but I was inspired to tell you what I was thinking...where I would like to see ourselves someday, you know." He squeezed her tightly to his chest until she moved to gently pull away and ask him to get her some more of the fans, “Sure, I'm sure they would like some souvenirs and I'm intrigued by your idea too." He stepped only a few feet away and gathered up six more fans for her, and then three more in various styles for Tara, Zlata and Isabella. “Want me to pay for them?" He asked, because he wasn't sure if she wanted to interact with anyone else right then.

Cat smiled and nodded, looking around a bit more, then tucked herself against Crypto's side as he paid for the fans, keeping the one in her hand as he paid for the six fans total. After they paid and she had a small bag with the fans in it, they headed back out, and she stayed as close to him, and as far from other people, as she could. They walked down and she window shopped when she felt the need to calm down, then a few feet away, she saw a store that made her blush, giving Crypto a look from the corner of her eye. “Can we go in the store ahead, babe?" The store she motioned to was between two others - one an anime store, the other a crafts store. And in between them… Victoria's Secret.

Crypto paid for the fans, but she was right there by his side. The lady behind the counter gave the two of them a smile and thanked them for coming in, and then they were off again, but this time sticking to the side of the crowds and pausing every once in a while when Cat needed to take a break from moving through the crowds. They had just browsed past an electronics store when she asked if they could go into the one coming up. He glanced up and forward and then turned to look at her with one eyebrow raised. After half a second though he smiled, “Hey, far be it from me to stop you from going in there." He winked and led her through and around the last groups of people, straight to the entrance, which was adorned with the usual half-naked women in lingerie, though obviously befitting the styles of the year. Evidently ultra-tiny bikinis were in, according to one advertisement, and they were having a sale on panty and babydolls according to the other, which featured a woman covering her nude breasts with one arm while pulling at one side of her underwear with the other. As they stepped in a very pleasant electronic voice spoke, “Welcome to Victoria's Secret. Changing rooms are in the rear of the store. Please don't hesitate to ask our sales associates any questions you may have, or for a demo of any products. Happy shopping, and remember, Secrets are most fun when shared…"

Cat looked around the lingerie shop with wide eyes, having never been in one before. Her hand was in Crypto's as she turned, looking at everything they offered. It took her a few minutes to wander over to the sexy thong bikinis and she looked through them, trying to see what she liked of them, finally moving to the side, picking up a few g-string panties that would just cover her front side in a variety of shades, then found the babydoll tops to go with them. “What do you think of these, Jasmir?" she asked quietly, holding one set against her first. This set was royal purple in color. As she held it up, his phone chimed that he had a text message that just came in.

Crypto had never felt the need to really enter a Lingerie shop before either, having only had a few girlfriends over the years, and none that were really that serious. So this was new to him He found the designs of the various pieces of Lingerie to be alluring and very provocative, and to say that he didn't imagine what Riona would look like in them would be a lie. But he also kept a sharp eye on his girl, watching as she drifted from one place to another before finally stopping to look at and choose a tiny panty and babydoll set. He stood a few feet away and appraised her as she held them up, “You know that I'm going to tell you that you would look absolutely fantastic in any color or style. It's all...fresh...to me." He licked his lips, “But purple of that shade does seem to suit you" He felt and heard his phone chime and he slipped his hand into his pocket to fish out the phone. Blue eyes flicked to the screen and then read the message and looked at the photo. He texted back, Right, we'll get on it ASAP when we return to the plane. Glancing up at Cat he gave her another smile, “Something from Isabella. Seems that Chameleon wants us to try and locate any information on a missing young man. Have to get more details later but I'll start Circa running searches."

Cat nodded then pulled her phone out and sent him a text, his number memorized. “Send me the picture too. I'll search my DarkWeb haunts for information." She liked the bikinis, but she wasn't sure if she could handle going to the beach. But it was definitely something that she wanted - she could wear them when she was able to handle the beach. Going over to them, her hand still in Crypto's, so he was dragged over to the bikinis, after getting to watch her look through the babydolls and panties, most likely getting ideas in his head.

“Right." Crypto nodded, forwarding the photo to her phone so that she could utilize it when they got back to the plane. He put his phone back in his pocket though, because there was nothing more they could do right then and there. The texting had momentarily distracted him from the very serious matters at hand, that being helping Cat choose lingerie that he knew was going to be for the two of them to enjoy. The thought of her in the panties and babydoll she had already chosen was bouncing around in his head, and now he found himself being drug away from them to the bikinis he had seen earlier. Thoughts of her frolicking on the beach in a tiny bikini made him hard almost instantly. He wondered if he could find a private beach close to the town where they could go…

Cat hadn't been to the beach in years, but she'd seen his quick glance at the bikinis when they entered the store, and she knew he wanted to take her to one. She picked out a few, including a wonderfully soft, blue velvet bikini that would never see water touch it, a risque pink and blue micro-bikini that might never see the light of the beach, and a slightly less risque, but still sexy red bikini that would show off her figure. As she turned with what she wanted to get, a single full suit caught her eye - the last one left, or maybe the only one in the store. Picking it up, she looked at the black suit with an embroidered set of flowers going up one side and knew it was something she needed to get. Maybe not for her, maybe it was for Ciara. She never knew. But she had things in her closet that she had never worn, and it was due to ordering clothes for her twin. She would never leave her twin without clothing. Which reminded her… “We need to find a shop with jeans and t-shirts for Mouse," she said as she saw a robe that she grabbed a couple of, one for her and one for Ciara. After she was done, she had more than she'd planned on getting, but she was not about to leave her twin without her own clothes. And that also meant she had to get for Mouse. Going to the register, she bit her lower lip, once more having to fight off the fear of the people around her.

Crypto watched her from nearby as she chose the bikinis that she liked from the racks. He felt something like a voyeur watching her, because he was imagining each one on her supple body. He had only seen her naked and gotten to gently touch her before, and he was glad they had waited, but he wanted to see her in these and so much more. He had a thing for topless girls in jeans, tank tops and panties, etc. He loved casual/normal clothing and frankly he was looking forward to just living with Cat. She had instantly attracted him and nothing he had seen or found out about her had turned him off yet. He came closer and admired the ones that she chose. “I never really thought I would enjoy shopping, but getting the idea for what you are going to look like in these made me change my mind," he chuckled, then nodded in response to her request to find someplace with clothes for Mouse. “We can look for a shop on the way back to the plane. We should probably get going." He headed with her over to the checkout, staying right beside her.

Cat bit her lip as they faced the cashier with her purchases, trying to deal with her phobias in the face of complete strangers. Her hand was in his, and she gave him a look from the corner of her eye. “You know, we still need to grab something to take back with us to eat on the plane," she said, then slid her arm around his waist. “I think I had fun, other than the phobia issues kicking in." She handed the cashier her card, doing her best not to touch the cashier as she did. She had a feeling that if she did, her phobia would kick in and there'd go the fun, other than her earlier meltdown. “Maybe some Ramen?"

The young woman behind the counter smiled at the couple and ran the card, charging the amount that she had rung up, which wasn't cheap, but Crypto knew that Cat could certainly afford it, “Thank you for shopping with us. I hope you come again!" she said brightly, handing the bag back across the counter with all of Cat's purchases. Crypto took it for her and nodded, “We're just passing through, short layover in flights. But you never know. Thanks!" And with that he turned to lead Cat back out of the store. “Ramen sounds good," he said at last. “Though I kinda feel like 'it's Japan' so I should try something unique." He laughed a little.

Cat grinned at Crypto, and nodded. “I know what you mean, Jasmir, but we do have a bit of a time constraint. And we can come back to go traditional another time. She slid her arm around his waist and snuggled in against his side, giving him the option to either walk with his arm around her shoulders, or around her waist. As they headed out the store, she pointed over to a shop. “Let's grab something from there for Mouse."

“Ok, Kitten," he said with a smile, leaning over to kiss her on the top of the head and put his arm around her waist. She was just the right size and fit next to him so perfectly as they walked. He turned them in the direction of the other store that she had pointed out and they started looking through a few simple things for Mouse. Crypto had no idea what her brother would like, but he could guess at his size from the photo they had seen and he picked out a couple of t-shirts. Then they headed to the jeans and he let Cat pick out a pair or two. Just the basics for now really. Socks, Underwear. He realized that they hadn't thought about her sister when it came to clothes. “Do...ah… did you and Ciara wear the same size? Did we need to grab anything for her?" He just wanted to make sure their bases were covered. At that moment though he heard his phone ping with a received message.

Cat nodded. “We always shared the same clothes growing up. I figured a couple things I grabbed at the last store could go for her. With that Chameleon said about what she was expected to do, I figured she might not like bikinis, so the full suit was for her, and one of the robes. But my jeans should fit her, along with my shirts. If not, we can always pick something up when we get her back." She pulled his phone from his back pocket and handed it to him as she got the clothes together. “It was yours, not mine, Jasmir," she chuckled. “I felt you searching for my phone."

“Huh?" he said, then laughed as she held up his phone and she took the clothes from him. “Fuck…" he muttered, shaking his head. “See what you do to me? I have that same damn notification tone for five years and I get next to you and immediately forget it…" He grinned and activated the screen with a finger press to the reader on the back of the case. His eyes read over the message. “We need to get back to the plane. They need us there ASAP, something about that picture we got sent earlier. I guess Ramen it is." He put his phone back into his pocket and headed to the checkout. Once again they passed through the gauntlet of paying for the items and soon enough they were back out, walking toward the plane.

After paying and leaving the store, they stopped at a shop and ordered their food to go. It was fixed quickly, and they were able to head back to the plane. “Marketta should meet us by the plane, or rather, on the way to the plane. She'll see whatever's going on, so she'll try not to cause problems with anyone. But there is something different about her, which is how she got here in less time than we did and without a plane."
