Winter Romance
Igneel Dragneel was a young red fire dragon in training. And, was currently learning the ancient art of fire magic and fire related abilities with his father, Sterling Dragneel.
The old dragon was the royal captain of the guard to the Dracos. He was often strict with the boys to make sure they were all strong and well prepared to defend their rulers. But ever since his dearly beloved wife passed away, he was both teacher, cook, washer, and bather to the young hatchling.
On the field, Igneel was at 8 years old and he was practicing with his father. "Hey Daddy, am i making the fire right?" He asked as he held a plume of fire in his paws.
Sterling chuckled. "Almost, son," he said and looked up at the sky to see the sun setting in the west. "Come along, Igneel," he said, "It's time that we'd be getting home." From up on the balcony, a young golden dragoness was watching them. She waved at Igneel with a smile on her face.
Igneel softly blushes and smiles, shyly waving back to the dragoness then yelped as he rejoins his father.
"Princess Luna is sure to make a wonderful queen when she comes of age," said Sterling, "And you must learn how to use your magic for good to protect her and her family. It has been our duty to protect the Draco line ever since the fall of the Dark Rhino."
Igneel perked his ears and frowned softly, "The Dark Rhino?"
"Well, I'll tell you when we get home," said the older dragon. Soon, they saw their house among the many other buildings in the city of Tundratown. When Sterling opened the door to the house, he snapped his fingers and a small flame illuminated at the tip of his fingers. He waved it away from him and sent the spark towards each candle in the house and it landed in the fireplace where three logs sat waiting.
Igneel gently walks to one of the logs and sat down on it, looking up at his father curiously.
"Well, it all began a long time ago before the Dracos came into power," said Sterling as he sat down in a chair and pulled out a pipe, "You see, Tundratown was originally under the rule of a rhino by the name Vladimir the Giant."
Igneel nods and took notes, wanting to learn anything from his father.
"Well, Vladimir was a warrior and a tyrant. He taxed the people till they had nothing left. They had to rely on ice money every winter, but when it got warm, they had to go back to charging items. Times were hard on everyone and no one was strong enough to stand up to the rhino. Vladimir owned a private army of mechanical soldiers to command and they all obeyed his every wish. He even had a mechanical steed that was invincible in battle and ran by steam."
"Why would he do that Dad? Did he ever feel any remorse for those poor people? I mean, he could've at least give them something in return." Igneel said.
"That's the thing," said the old dragon, "He would enslave anyone who got in his way or just make their lives miserable. But one day, Vladimir had set some of the woodcutters to chop down some trees from the Shadow Forest. That forest was the home to the Guild of the Four Seasons. The guild consisted of the Spring Unicorn, who brought spring; her husband, Summer Stallion, bringer of summer; their son, Autumn Colt, who paints the leafs for autumn; and lastly is Jack Frost, son of Father Winter. It's his duty to freeze everything for the winter snow to stay frozen."
Igneel perked his ears high at the mention of Jack Frost
"The trees in that wood were sacred to the seasons. And one dragon woodcutter named Julius Draco knew and respected the forest. If anyone knew how to overthrow the rhino, it would be the seasons. So, at night, Julius snuck into the forest to search for the seasons, but as he got further in, the dragon had lost his way and was worried that if he didn't make it out of there alive, he would never see his beloved wife again. Just when he was starting to lose hope, he saw a light from behind a group of trees. He went over to investigate and discovered the Sanctuary of the Seasons. He was welcomed by all four seasons and he told them about his people's suffering and the cruelty Vladimir was spreading. Father Winter, the keeper of winter, decided to take action and the next morning, he created a huge blizzard to blow the rhino's castle and metallic army far up into the mountains where Vladimir and his forces were trapped. Father Winter told Julius that the rhino would never stay frozen forever. 'There will come a day when the Dark Rhino will awake,' he said, 'Therefore, you, Julius Draco, shall be the new king of Tundratown. Rule your subjects fairly and with a kind, strong heart.' After Julius returned to his home, he was glad to see that the town was in celebration for Vladimir was vanquished from their lives and his tyranny had ended. As the years went by, the people built a new palace just for Julius Draco and his descendants. And that's the story of the Dark Rhino and how the Dracos came into power."
Igneel's eyes were wide in wonder, "Wow… I never knew that." He said.
Sterling nodded. "If it wasn't for Julius' bravery and perseverance, his people would never have been freed and he never would have made it to the Four Seasons. Oh my, it's 10:30." He got up out of his chair and then he tickled the little hatchling upstairs to bed.
Igneel giggled, "Daddy!" He smiled, snuggling up into bed.
Sterling smiled as he tucked his son into bed. "Get some sleep son," he said kissing the youth's forehead, "I love you."
Igneel purrs and then curls up in bed, "I love you too Daddy."
A few years later
It was at the end of autumn and the Autumn Colt had already finished painting leafs as he flew over. Both Igneel and the Draco Princess Luna had grown up. Over the years, the two dragons had gotten to know each other a little more and became good friends.
Sterling had sadly passed away, but Igneel prayed to his father each time for his father to give him luck. Igneel smiled as he sat next to Luna. The fire dragon was now 14
He and Luna would always play together out in the forest. But far away, within the peaks of the mountains, an ice-covered castle was starting to thaw, and the frozen body of a rhino resided within the throne room. Suddenly, the ice encasing the rhino began to break and the rhino roared in triumph. "I'm free!" he roared defiantly.
Igneel then felt a very powerful sense of magic in the air.
Luna felt it too. "What was that?" she said, "Igneel, let's go home. I'm scared."
Igneel held Luna close, "Don't be afraid."
"Are you sure we can make it home before it gets dark?" asked Luna as she and Igneel walked through the forest.
Igneel snaps his fingers and small fireball ignited in his claw.
Luna smiled as she saw the path. They followed it and they found themselves back home. "Uh, listen Igneel," she said as if she were trying to tell him something important, "I thought I should tell you that my father, King Eldor, is having me go to school in another city. I'll be there for 4 years at least till I'm 17. Promise you'll write to me when I'm gone. Please?"
Igneel smiles and hugs Luna tightly, "I promise."
The next day, Igneel watched as the servants loaded Luna's luggage into a carriage. King Eldor hugged his daughter once more along with his Queen and they both kissed their daughter good bye. The moment Igneel saw Luna leave, he felt like a piece of him left with her.
Igneel sighs but then, went off to find what was the cause of that magic he sensed last night.
It didn't take him long to find out as he saw in the distance a dark figure riding what seemed to be a giant horse made of metal.
Igneel gasped, "The Dark Rhino."
The rhino snarled as he saw the new castle that took the place of his old one. "Well, no matter," he snarled, "I am still near them to cause them great misery." He hurried off to steal all the peoples' gold and wealth leaving them poor. He laughed evilly as he road off back to his castle in the mountains.
But, Igneel wasn't planning to let the rhino get away with his plans
But the metal horse was too fast for the fire dragon to keep up and it soon out ran him leaving poor Igneel exhausted. The dragon knew he had to protect the city the next time Vladimir the Giant came back again.
The next day, Igneel had to stop Vladimir so he couldn't steal from the city.
But when Igneel threw a fireball at the rhino, it just bounced off. "Dummkopf dragon!" he snorted with a smirk, "I've grown fire resistant. How else do you think I can ride a horse who runs on heat?" He then got off his horse and punched the dragon so hard that it nearly buried the dragon 5" into the ground. The rhino chuckled as he mounted his metal steed. "On, Clankstomper!" he roared as he road off to steal more taxes from the city.
This had gone on for three years and the entire kingdom was broke. King Eldor was worried that the peasants would have no means of buying food for the winter. But their hopes rose whenever Jack Frost came flying around the earth covering everything in a layer of frost. That gave the Draco king an idea which he made a decree that every winter, everyone would use ice money as currency. The first thing Jack Frost did was to make lots of pretty icicles. Then the people took those icicles and sliced them up into ice coins. And soon, everyone was reach with their... frozen assets to coin a phrase. The point was thanks to the ice money, nobody was broke anymore and Vladimir didn't steal it from the people either. And nobody had more fun than Jack Frost. Being able to turn himself invisible, he could move down close to the mortals and really be part of their cheer and joy. And it was when Igneel was 17 that he saw a golden carriage pull up in front of the Draco palace.
The fire dragon curiously tilted his head wondering who the person was.
When the carriage door opened, he saw the most beautiful dragoness he had ever seen. Her golden scales glistened in the sunlight as her hair gently flowed in the winter breeze. Igneel soon recognized her as his old childhood friend.
"Luna!" Igneel smiled, running to his friend.
The dragoness looked to the side to see her old friend had grown. She smiled and hugged Igneel when he came up. "Igneel!" she said, "I missed you. But what happened while I was away? Everyone looks so sad and poor."
Igneel sighed, "The Dark Rhino is to blame. He stole everyone's money."
"That's terrible," said Luna and looked all around at the snow and smiled, "Well, thank goodness we never forgot about how we used to spend ice money. Everything looks so beautiful.
Igneel smiled and nods, "It really does. It really does." He agreed.
Later, Jack Frost was coming in to see what was going on. "Well, I'll see you later," said Luna to Igneel, "I've got to see my parents. And I almost forgot, this is Felicia, my schoolmate." Another young dragoness stepped out and curtsied to the red dragon.
Igneel smiled, "Nice to meet you."
Later, Jack Frost had finished frosting everything and then he saw a red dragon meditating on a tree stump... and a conveniently placed branch with some snow on it. He grinned as he flew up, pulled on the twig and watched the snow fall on top of Igneel.
Igneel yelped and then growled, being a fire dragon, if something angered him or annoyed him, his body would warm up.
Seeing how silly Igneel looked with the snow on top of him, Jack Frost laughed and laughed till he became visible as he floated in mid air. "That was one of the funniest things I've ever seen!" he guffawed.
Igneel then saw Jack, "Oh yeah how's this for funny?" He smirked, snapping his fingers and then, a small flame appeared on Jack's rump.
"YEOW!!" yelped Jack Frost as he turned around and blew at his rear to cool it off.
Igneel was now the one laughing.
"Oh, sure I laugh because of a little snowfall but since when do mortals set fire to immortals like me?" he snapped getting up into Igneel's face.
Igneel glared as he and Jack now butted heads, "It's because I'm a very powerful fire dragon and fire wizard." He retorted.
"You forget, I'm the one who makes the icicles to give people their ice money. And secondly, you couldn't even stop Vladimir the Giant!" sassed Jack Frost.
Igneel growled, "Oh yeah, you probably couldn't handle freezing an entire summer. I'd melt a whole winter."
"Hmph!" said Jack Frost, "Well, don't come to me if you happen to start a forest fire. Didn't your father ever tell you about us at all?"
"Yes he did. But, i have nothing to learn from you, so ha!" Igneel teased, pulling an eyelid down and stuck his tongue out, taunting Jack.
Jack Frost scowled and then made a snowball and threw it at the dragon's face. He laughed as he made a direct hit and then flew off to make more icicles for the people's ice money.
Igneel growls, "If i never see that boy again, it'll be too soon."
Later, Luna was out and about with her friend Felicia along with Igneel. Luna smiled at the sight of the snow.
Igneel grinned, "Hey ladies." He purred, flexing his muscles.
But Jack Frost was still sore at Igneel and he saw a puddle underneath Igneel. He froze it trapping the dragon's feet in it. Then he went over and touched Luna's nose. The dragoness gasped but giggled at the feeling.
Igneel yelped and got steamed, growling as his body went up in flames. The ice on his feet melted. He knew he had to find a way to get back at Jack. He then smirks as he pointed a claw at the feet of Jack, and then sent a small fireball at them.
"Igneel, don't get mad," said Luna as she stopped the dragon in his tracks, "It was just a joke."
Igneel sighs and smiles, "Okay Luna."
"I'm gonna go into the country side to enjoy the country side. It's like a beautiful Christmas Winter wonderland," said Luna. When she said winter, that got Igneel feeling upset about snow being favored over his fire magic.
Igneel sighed and then lay against the tree.
Jack Frost was invisible and near enough to hear the two dragonesses talking. "You're so romantic, Luna," said Felicia, "Why don't you find yourself a good husband?" "I will someday," said Luna. "But aren't you in love with anybody yet?" asked Felicia. Luna chuckled and replied, "Only Jack Frost." Jack's heart skipped a beat and from that point on, all he could think about was being mortal. "But Luna, how will you know to find Jack Frost?" asked Felicia. "Oh, I'm sure he'll show himself somehow," said Luna with a chuckle, "Besides, I'll know when it's cold and when he's nipping at my nose."
Igneel was watching himself
Jack Frost sighed as he slowly became visible while showing love sickness as he watched Luna skate on the ice.
Igneel was skating himself as he watches Luna and Felicia
Just then, Vladimir came riding his iron horse across the frozen pond after coming from the town. But the weight of the iron horse was too much for the ice to bear and the heat from its boiler melted the ice till Luna was stranded. She tried to escape but she fell on top of her right wing and she couldn't take off. "HELP!" she cried as her tiny block of ice drifted toward a waterfall. Just then, Jack Frost flew over, froze the pond and levitated the young dragoness to safety, though he remained invisible. "Oh, Jack Frost," she said smiling, "Not only are you a magician. You're a hero." That made Jack Frost both happy and sad and more determined to become mortal to be with her.
Igneel then saw Jack and crosses his arms, "You okay dude?"
"Huh? I'm fine-" he said but he turned invisible as Luna came over to Igneel. "Igneel, were you talking to someone?" she asked, "And why didn't you help me when the ice melted?"
Igneel sighs, "I'm not powerful enough to fight Vladimir. He pushed me like i was nothing."
"But you could have flown over to me first," said Luna, "Just because there's danger, it doesn't mean you should abandon your friends."
"I'm sorry okay!" Igneel said. Feeling frustrated enough as it is. Flying away.
"Felicia, can you go follow him? I'm worried about him," said Luna, "He's like a little brother to me." "Sure thing," she said and Felicia followed after Igneel.
Igneel laid down on his bed and curls up, his wings now around his body
There was a knock on his door and Felicia peaked inside. "May I come in?" she asked.
Igneel gently opened it, "Sure."
Felicia came in and sat next to Igneel. "Come on, what's on your mind," she said, "You can tell me anything."
Igneel sighed, "I'm sorry Felicia. It's just that, I've had a lot on my mind. I lost my dad, and, i failed Luna."
"Don't worry," said Felicia, "Why don't you tell me what caused you to think so little of yourself? After all, if you think you failed Luna, why did you think she sent me?"
"It's just, I care for everyone here, if i let everyone down, i feel like i failed Luna, my father and myself. I just sometimes don't trust myself to help out." Igneel sighed.
"But you do," said Felicia as she held Igneel's claws in hers, "Luna and everyone else will always support you no matter what." She looked up at the sad look on the dragon's face and she cupped his cheek to turn it to look directly into them.
Igneel gently looked at Felicia's eyes
"You know, you're just the way Luna described you," she said blushing, "And I've always wanted to meet you."
Igneel blushes, "R-Really?"
Felicia nodded her head. "Yes," she said as the green dragoness scooted closer to the red dragon.
Igneel smiles and then held Felicia, gently his fingers through her hair and feeling her scales.
Felicia smiled and she found herself closing her eyes as she leaned her head upward toward the fire dragon's lips.
Igneel gently brought her to his lap and kisses her deeply, his hands gently caressing her hips.
It was from that point on that Igneel knew that he would always have Felicia to look to whenever he was feeling low. Meanwhile, Jack Frost was watching Luna from her balcony. The golden dragoness was brushing her hair before going to bed. The snow imp had never felt so lonely in his life. He never realized that being the bringer of winter could be so lonely. "If only there was a way for us to be together," he thought. The next morning, he was invisible again as he watched Luna play with her friends in the snow.
They looked like they were having a lot of fun together. It filled Jack up with sadness, wishing he could be mortal, and wanting to be near Luna, instead of being immortal.
Jack stood by as he slowly appeared as he sat down on a stump, letting it turn to ice under him. It was by the whim of Father Winter that Igneel was able to see Jack Frost's sorrow and lonely heart.
Igneel gently walked behind Jack and felt sorry for him, he regretted his little joke he did on Jack. "Hey." He said.
The immortal looked up at Igneel. He stood up and tried to look carefree and proud, but he didn't have much success. "Yeah? What can I do for you?" he asked Igneel.
Igneel crossed his arms; he was very perceptive and could easily see through Jack's facade. "You know i could tell you look upset." He said.
Jack just frowned. "Is it that obvious?" he replied as he sat down on his stump again and sighed.
Igneel sat down next to Jack and nods as he rubbed the humans shoulder, "Yeah. Sometimes, us dragons are very perceptive."
"It just that... ever since I heard Luna say she loved me... well, you can figure out the rest," said the snow imp as he rested his head on his hands.
"Yeah. You've been wanting to be mortal so you can be in love with her." Igneel said, rubbing the imps back gently.
"But I'm afraid of losing her because I'm only allowed to be among the mortals once every year." He was so sad that it started to snow slowly to emphasize his sorrow.
"Sometimes romance can be complicated. Trust me, my Dad had the same thing with my mom, he was a powerful immortal wizard, but my mom was mortal, and, he wished to be mortal. But, he actually learned to live with it, and my mom accepted him for who he was." Igneel admitted.
"But where is your father now? I thought he died," said Jack confused for he remembered Sterling Dragneel.
"He did, i just pray to him whenever i ask for luck or help." Igneel replied.
It didn't make sense to Jack Frost, but he decided to just go along with it.
"I know it sounds a little weird, but i don't care. But it helps me, it helps me think my Dads still with me" Igneel smiled.
"That's nice, but what about me? I can still be turn visible and invisible at my own free will but I'm too scared to show myself to someone I just met... and loved at first sight," said Jack as he showed tears for the very first time in his immortal life.
Igneel hugs Jack, gently nuzzling him, "I'm sorry. I know this must be very hard, but you must accept who you are. I think Luna doesn't care if you would be mortal or immortal." The dragon said.
"I hope you're right," said Jack, "Will you help me? I don't think I can do this on my own."
Igneel smiles, "I will. Besides, Luna's been my friend since we were hatchlings."
"Did... did you love her too?" asked Jack as he tried to wipe away his own tears.
"Honestly yeah. But, her friend Felicia, I'm now in love with her, i accepted the fact that Luna wants to be with you." Igneel replied, holding Jack in his arms.
"But I don't know if she was just joking or not. For all I know, she probably thinks I'm just a fable," said Jack feeling even more miserable than ever. It was at that moment Luna heard Jack Frost and Igneel talking. She remained hidden. But when she heard Jack proclaim his love for her, she let out a soft gasp. She almost felt her heart skip a beat. She knew now that words had power and she decided that she would love Jack Frost no matter what. Jack turned his head when he heard the small gasp and yelped when he saw Luna.
Igneel saw Luna and Jack, giving the snow imp a pat on the shoulder. "Good luck Jacky."
"Luna... hi," said Jack shyly. The golden dragoness came up to the imp. "Hi," she said. "Luna... I was wondering, when you said that you were in love with me... did you really mean it?" asked Jack. Luna looked down for a moment and replied, "Well, I meant it as a joke to tease Igneel but hearing you say how much you love me in return... I guess I really do love you." The snow imp smiled as he and the dragoness hugged each other.
Igneel smiled as he watches from afar, he felt happy for the both of them.
But out of nowhere, Vladimir the Giant came riding in and snatched up Luna. Jack was knocked off his feet but then he flew after the rhino. "Luna!" he cried out. "Jack!" she screamed as Vladimir carried her off to his castle. "Soon you'll be my New Year's bride," he chuckled.
Igneel growled and flew after Vladimir, "You will not!" He growled, shooting a huge fireball at him.
When Vladimir got to his castle, the rhino was met with a very angry Igneel, who flew in to grab Luna out of the rhino's grip. Jack Frost knew about Vladimir and to stop the rhino from doing any more damage, he was going whistle up the worst winter the world had ever known. He kept whistling till the rhino's entire castle was covered in snow and ice. Not even Vladimir's metal soldiers could get out. Jack Frost laughed as how successful he had managed to trap the dark rhino inside the very castle Father Winter banished all those years ago.
Igneel smiled at seeing the whole castle covered in ice, and Vladimir trapped. "Perfect."
Jack Frost asked Father Winter to keep the castle snowbound. "I will but only until spring," said the keeper of winter. Jack quickly flew off to be with Luna, but when he arrived at the castle, he came face to face with a serpent. "Who are you?" asked the imp. "My name is Exortos," said the serpent, "Royal advisor to the king. And what can I do for you?" "I've come to see Luna," he said. "I'm afraid she's not here. She went back to school," said Exortos, "But I'll write to her and tell her you called." Jack Frost was heart broken as he flew off. As soon as he was gone, Luna came out of the castle. "Exortos? Who was that?" she asked. "No one important, your majesty," he hissed, "He said he was going away and never wanted to see you again." When the dragoness heard this, she ran back into her room and cried. The serpent grinned deviously. "Now that I've gotten rid of that snow sprite, it'll only be a matter of time before this entire kingdom will be mine," he cackled.
"Don't count on it Exortos." Igneel growled as he was standing behind the traitorous serpent.
The serpent yelped as he turned around to see Igneel. "Well you're too late, captain," he hissed, "You have no power over me! What's more is that I've finally got that pathetic Jack Frost to leave for good so I can have the princess as my bride."
Igneel growls and held his dagger against Exortos, "You will do no such thing. And if you know what's good for you, you will stand down."
"Don't threaten me boy," said the serpent as he struck the dragon with his claws, "I'm still the royal advisor to the king. That means I can easily have you banished!"
"Oh? Well I'm captain of the guard, and defying me will be seen as treason, against the king and the throne." Igneel said. "And you know the rule, traitors are to be eliminated."
"Hmph!" said Exortos, "And defiance against me will be punishable by death!" He was going to storm into the castle when he gasped and knelt before King Eldor. "I don't know why I hired you to be my advisor," snarled the old dragon, "Captain, see to it that this traitor is literally kicked out of here."
Igneel grinned down at the cowardly serpent's shocked face. He held the snake in his grip and then literally kicked him to the curb.
Exortos landed in the mud and he scowled at the palace as he walked away. "I'll make them all pay," he muttered under his breath as he disappeared into the shadows. Meanwhile, Luna was in her bedroom crying her eyes out. "I'll never see Jack again," she sobbed, "What do I do now?"
Igneel kneeled before Luna, "Don't worry my queen, Exortos tricked you and Jack. He only wanted Jack gone because he wanted to marry you and steal the throne for himself."
"Then that means... Jack's still out there," she said but she didn't know where to look but then it dawned on her. "Igneel, I need your help," she said, "Go to the Dark Rhino's castle in the mountain. Don't ask me why. I just feel that he's there."
"Yes ma'am." Igneel said as he and Luna left the castle to go the Dark Rhino castle.
There on the mountaintop, they saw a familiar form flying around the castle and it covered the entire mountain in solid ice.
"There!" Igneel pointed to the familiar place as it was covered.
"Jack!" called Luna. The imp stopped and flew down to the dragons. "Luna? Igneel? What are you two doing here? I need to keep this castle snow bound. Please go. It's not safe."
"Look, your majesty, we came here because, Exortos tricked you." Igneel explained everything to Jack about the serpents lie.
"So... he wanted me out of the way, did he? I trusted him," said Jack and then turned to Luna. "Can you ever forgive me," he said as he held her hands gently.
"I can my love." Luna smiles, kissing her mates lips as they hug each other warmly.
Jack closed his eyes as he felt the dragoness's lips upon his own and he just tilted his head to deepen the kiss. Suddenly, the snow flurry stopped. They stopped kissing and looked up. "Something's wrong," said Jack, "Luna, I need to go and check up with Father Winter. I promise I'll be back soon. I love you." He then took off into the air towards the Guild of the Four Seasons.
Igneel could feel something wrong as well. He held Luna close and brought her back to the castle.
Back at the guild, Jack Frost soon got his answer to why there was no snow coming in. "But sir, spring can't come early," said Jack, "I've got to keep that rhino's castle snow bound. Oh please sir, don't take winter away. Not yet." The white bearded immortal stroked the hairs in his beard and sighed. "It's not up to me, Jack Frost," he said, "I take my orders from Nature. When she gives me a certain sign, I know it's my time to let the Spring Unicorn come." "What sign, sir?" asked Jack thinking that there was still hope to save Tundratown and the princess he had come to love so much. "The awakening of a tiny animal from his hibernation. I refer to a little groundhog," said Father Winter, "At this very moment, he is starting to awaken. Very soon, he will leave his hole. If he stays outside, and is not frightened by his shadow, that will be my sign to move on." "But if his shadow frightens him?" asked the imp coming up with a plan. "Six more weeks of winter," said Father Winter.
Jack looked up at the sky and noticed the clouds hid the sun. There could never be a shadow that day… at least, not a real shadow. Jack had an idea. He flew down to the burrow of the groundhog and waited for him to come out. He turned invisible and snuck up behind the groundhog and pinched his shoulder making the creature shiver with cold. Then Jack Frost lay flat against the ground and took the shape of the groundhog's shadow. The groundhog looked around curious as to what pinched him with those cold fingers. Then Jack, still in his shadow form, stood upright and kicked the groundhog in the butt making the creature turn around and the sight of a scary shadow made him so scared that he ran back into his hole. Jack Frost returned to his normal state and laughed with glee. That meant six more weeks of winter. That gave enough time to be with Luna.
Igneel smiles as he watches the two and he then joined Felicia, snuggling her warmly. And soon enough she was pregnant with his only egg.
As for Jack Frost and Luna, Jack provided a small igloo where they could have some privacy. They lay on some soft, comfortable leafs where Jack stripped his shirt off for Luna and kissed along her shoulders. The igloo was warm and comfortable for Luna and she felt right at home. She purred contently and felt very relaxed. "Luna... I love you so much," said Jack as he kissed along her neck and noticed that she was starting to undo her own clothes. "I love you too Jack." Luna smiles and then moans loudly. Then both of them started to strip naked and Jack showed that he had plenty of muscle on his body giving him a swimmer's build. Luna purrs and gently ran a hand through Jack's pale body. Jack couldn't help but kiss all over Luna's body and for the first time ever; Jack Frost showed a warm side to his nature as he hugged the dragoness and he continued downward to kiss down her stomach. Luna let out a gasp as she felt Jack's breath upon her virgin clit. Jack knew this was probably Luna's first time and he didn't want to hurt her. So, he lowered his head down to lick the folds. Her arousal was intoxicating and filling his nostrils. The snow imp thrust his tongue in deeper drawing a deep moan from the dragoness. After several tongue thrusts, Jack slowly inserted his member into Luna's clit. "Oh, Luna," he moaned. Luna gasps loudly at feeling her clit now spread open "I'm not hurting you, am I?" he asked cupping her cheek gently. "N-No of course not babe. Keep going." Luna moaned. Jack smiled as he kissed her lovingly and kept on gently thrusting. Luna purrs and then moans at each thrust. Jack hugged the dragoness as he humped deeply into her and his seed went inside her. He panted and he kept her close in his arms. "I love you, Luna," he whispered softly. Luna purrs and then snuggles up, "I love you too Jack."
It was morning, and Igneel wad doing his daily duties and waited for Jack and Luna to return while doing so
Luna had her arm linked around Jack's as they came up side by side to the palace. He looked up at Vladimir's castle in the distance. "That snow storm's not going to last forever," said Jack and turned to the fire dragon. "Igneel, I'm going to need your help again," he said and turned to Luna, "I will return to you before spring comes at noon. I promise."
"Yes sir." Igneel said, saluting his king and awaited his orders.
They flew off to the castle and landed on the roof. That's when they realized the snow was half melted already!
"This is not good your majesty. At this rate, the whole snow will melt!" Igneel reported.
Suddenly, the melting snow beneath their feet collapsed the rotting roof and to both Jack and Igneel's surprise knocked the rhino unconscious. Jack laughed and noticed that there was a window overlooking the mechanical soldiers. "Now I know what we have to do," said Jack as he flew down to the rhino, "Right, Vladimir." Then he picked the rhino's head up and moved his mouth while he spoke in Vladimir's deep voice: "Anything you say, Jack Frost." The snow imp imitated Vladimir's voice perfectly. And what's more, he didn't even move his lips.
Igneel giggled at the silliness his king was doing with the knocked out rhino. "That's a really good impression sir."
"Quick, help me get this big dummy to the window," said Jack, as the soldiers were getting ready to march out to destroy the city.
Igneel ran to his king's side and helped him out. "Man, this guy needs to lose some serious weight." The dragon groaned.
"Okay, stay out of sight," said Jack Frost as he grabbed Vladimir's chin while Igneel worked his right arm. "All you soldiers down there!" shouted Jack in his Vladimir voice, "Halt!" Those soldiers all thought Jack Frost's voice was coming from the rhino. So they obeyed. "No time to use the secret passage," said Jack Frost still imitating the rhino, "Down the mountain side. Forward march! On the double!" Of course, the mountain was so slippery from all the snow and ice. And once the soldiers hit those ice slopes, down they went. They landed on the others down below and soon the valley was filled to the top with every last soldier. Vladimir came around and gasped when he saw all his forces were destroyed. "Blast you!" he roared as Jack and Igneel stepped back next to the window leading to the valley. Jack Frost knew what to do next.
"Sir, you ready for this?" Igneel asked his king, ready to take some action.
"Yeah, and I know what to do," said Jack winking at Igneel. Vladimir was so angry that he lowered his head and charged towards the two intruders. "Now!" yelled Jack as he and Igneel jumped to the sides and watched the rhino fly out the window and fall below to his doom. "Well, I guess that ends the story of Vladimir the Giant," said Jack, "Igneel, are you okay?"
Igneel smirks and gave his king a thumbs-up, "Never better sir."
"Good," said Jack, "Now, to get back to Tundratown." They flew back to the palace of the Dracos and Luna was pacing her room feeling worried. But when she saw Jack Frost land on her balcony, she rushed up to the imp and hugged him tightly. "Luna, did you really miss me that much?" he joked playfully.
"Of course I did you big dummy." Luna giggled, giving her mate a kiss.
Jack smiled as he kissed his beloved as he felt his heart feel complete but still saddened. "Luna, spring is almost here. I've got to go away soon," he said sadly.
Luna felt saddened and hugged her mate tightly, "Oh, I wish you would stay."
"Don't worry, I'll be back," said Jack kissing the dragoness's forehead, "I'll be back when you see the first snow of winter."
Igneel bows to Jack, "And I'll keep the kingdom safe till you return my lord."
"Thank you, dear friend," said Jack. Soon, the nearby clock sounded the hour. It was 12 in the afternoon. Spring had arrived. "I love you, Luna," said Jack Frost as he slowly vanished into invisibility but he left a small kiss on her cheek before he flew out the window and back to the Guild of the seasons.
Luna held the small necklace Jack left for her and smiled as she looked at her pregnant belly. Igneel's own kid was close to hatching.
A few months later, Luna was still looking forward to seeing Jack again. It wasn't until the first snowfall that she felt a great pain in her stomach.
Luna moans, "Oh Igneel, I-I think the baby's coming! Please, find Jack!" She ordered. Igneel nodded determinedly, "Yes your majesty!" He flew off in a hurry to find Jack.
Jack was coming in for a landing in the courtyard when he heard an infant crying. "Igneel, is... is that what I think it is?" asked the snow imp feeling hopeful.
Igneel nodded, "Yes. It's your son my lord. You better hurry."
Jack smiled as he flew up to the balcony and saw Luna on the bed holding a little bundle in her arms.
Igneel smiles as he also saw a small bundle in Felicia's arms too. "We're both parents now Jack."
"What're going to name your child?" asked Jack turning to Igneel
"Natsu." Igneel smiled, as he looked at his hatchling.
"Jack... how about our child?" asked Luna when the immortal came over and looked at his son. The little hatchling had sapphire blue scales and red hair. "Nathan," said Jack Frost as he caressed the top of his son's head, "We'll call him Nathan."
The End
