Chapter 7: Takeover
Daniel and R’kan get some downtime, and Lieutenant Dover executes a hasty plan.
R’kan woke gently, for once not in a hurry to do something or go somewhere. He sighed contentedly as he felt another being’s heart beating against his. They were both lying on their sides facing each other, with Daniel curled up against R’kan’s chest, breathing softly, emitting lots of warmth from his position under the blanket. R’kan had his entire frame wrapped around his human protectively, his tail wrapped securely around Daniel’s uninjured leg. Oh, and they were both naked.
Daniel murred softly, then slowly stirred back to consciousness.
“Mmm… mernin’…” he slurred, eyes drifting back closed. R’kan giggled and softly stroked his side, forcing a smile out of him and a small giggle. “Don’t start that again or I’ll be forced to rape you.”
“If that was supposed to be a threat, it wasn’t very threatening,” R’kan chuckled. “Sounds more like a reward.” R’kan let his fingers dance over Daniel’s ticklish spots again, making the human squirm.
“I’m warning you…” Daniel growled playfully.
“Warn all you like,” R’kan replied cheekily. “Keep the bed warm for a mo’? I’ll be back in a few minutes.” Daniel sighed and went limp, with his chin and upper body resting on R’kan’s powerful chest.
“Gaw… you chickening out? Afraid I’ll find your sensitive spot?”
“Oh, we’ll continue this when I get back, and I’ll win,” R’kan promised as he hauled himself out of bed, removing Daniel from his body lovingly. Daniel hunkered down and waited until, a few minutes later, R’kan returned, grinning mischievously. The sneaky Lahzid obviously had something planned. Daniel peered around his naked body, seeing no hidden objects behind his back or anything else of the sort. He narrowed his eyes suspiciously and folded his arms. “Hey Daniel,” R’kan started, a tiny bit of nervousness showing through. “When this is all over… will you marry me?”
“Of course buddy! We’ve been through too much together to just call it off now, haven’t we? We can do like a little hybrid thing where we merge both our kinds’ cultures together… and… is something wrong?”
“We don’t really have a culture anymore,” R’kan told him. “All physical relics were destroyed alongside our planet, and almost everything we retained in our minds was erased when we used Wulvan translation technology. You see, we didn’t really know how to work it, and we replaced our own language, customs, idioms and phrases with yours. We’re basically humans in every aspect except our personalities and societal expectations. Which means I don’t really know what we used to do to show mateship. Nobody does.”
“Oh… I’m sorry…” Daniel uttered.
“But that’s not important right now, because I have a score to settle with you!” R’kan pounced upon the prone human and began wrestling with him, not putting all his effort in, but enough to keep Daniel in check. Eventually, R’kan rolled them over so Daniel was on his back and R’kan was straddling his waist dominantly. “Aha! And so I have bested you human!” R’kan exclaimed, stroking Daniel’s cheek and leaning in close. “And do you know what my prize is for winning?” he whispered seductively.
The Lahzid ran his slender tongue over one of Daniel’s nipples, before sucking on it gently, eliciting a gasp from him. “Take a wild guess…” R’kan set to work on the human’s other nub, working it with his tongue until it was hard and able to be played with in his moist muzzle. Judging by the hard pole he could feel rubbing his lower back, R’kan could guess that Daniel’s mind was in the right place.
R’kan grinned at his accomplishment and swivelled atop his human, swiftly bringing his face down to the human’s member, his own cock well out of its sheath and dripping fluid. He leant down and swallowed the human prick in one go, right down to the roots, then slid his maw up to the head, swirling his tongue around the sensitive knob sensually, loving the way Daniel squirmed beneath him.
Surprisingly, he felt a warm hand grasp his Lahzid cock and then a pair of warm lips gave his throbbing Lahzidhood entrance into Daniel’s hot, moist mouth. R’kan hadn’t expected this, but growled out his approval and redoubled his efforts on Daniel’s delicious cock, his muzzle gliding up and down that stiff shaft until, all-too-soon, he could taste the salty pre on his tongue.
R’kan paused, closing his eyes and enjoying the sensation of Daniel bobbing up and down his length, twisting his head this way and that to create a unique feeling that combine with his explorative tongue, which covered every inch of hot meat it could reach. R’kan moaned, the vibrations travelling down the leaking spire resting on his tongue, making Daniel shiver. Then R’kan pulled away, leaving Daniel’s prick to stand in the cool air, and with a shake of his hips, he freed his dick from the human’s mouth, ignoring the disgruntled groan Daniel gave.
R’kan chuckled at his enthusiasm, before turning himself back so he was facing Daniel again. He clutched the human’s saliva-covered manhood and placed it between his cheeks so it was resting against his tight taint. Then he let his muscled rump take his weight, forcing Daniel’s hard-on through his tight ring and into his anal passage.
Daniel let out a cute squeak-gasp-moan sound at the velvety anal walls that gripped his prick like a tight glove. R’kan similarly was for the first time feeling the sensation of fullness that came with anal penetration, hissing lowly at the unique feel of a thick, meaty shaft sliding up inside him until his butt was on Daniel’s lap. Daniel moaned and hugged R’kan tightly, his dick twitching and tensing inside his alien lover, and for a moment, R’kan thought he was cumming. But Daniel merely ground his crotch against his lover, hoping for more of the red-hot friction of R’kan’s smooth anal passage, but found himself unable to get any leverage against the heavy male atop him.
R’kan arched his back and growled as Daniel’s movements ground against something inside him. That felt damned good, and R’kan found himself raising his hips and slamming them back down to get that electric jolt of bliss that shot through his body every time his human’s cock hit that spot inside of him. R’kan let out another, longer, lusty growl and ground his hips back and forth atop his lover, squeezing and releasing his prostate and milking out a dollop of precum from his achingly-hard dick. “Errrrrr yeah…” he grunted. He placed his hands on either side of Daniel’s head and stared into Daniel’s eyes with a wild spark dancing within him.
R’kan gave his human a quick kiss, before lifting himself back up and ramming every last inch back into his tight hole. Daniel felt R’kan’s inexperienced insides squeeze his prick mercilessly as it sent pleasurable jolts up the Lahzid’s spine, tensing and relaxing with every new sensation the role reversal provided. Daniel thrusted up into his partner desperately, giving a primal moan. R’kan decided to give in, and grabbed Daniel’s shoulders, then let himself fall onto his back so the human was on top.
With his new position, Daniel grabbed R’kan’s shoulders and used them to lever himself out of the Lahzid’s tight ass, before spearing back in and ramming his cock into his prostate as hard as he could, receiving a gurgled cry of encouragement. Daniel humped away happily, riding the alien ass with a hazy fever. Every little squeeze R’kan’s anal walls gave him drove him wild, making him saw in and out of his lover’s ass harder and faster, sweat matting his hair from the pure passion of his lovemaking.
R’kan was mewling submissively, desperately licking and nibbling any flesh he could get his teeth on to spur Daniel on with more pleasure on his most sensitive body parts. R’kan found a nipple and bit down roughly, making Daniel grunt and bite his lip, an extra hard thrust crushing R’kan’s prostate as a result. Daniel found claws digging into his back as he reamed R’kan thoroughly, the Lahzid arching his back and squirming with every thrust from his human. None of his ministrations managed to draw blood, but provided just enough pain to mix in with the pleasure into a blend of absolute primal lovemaking. Not a conscious thought crossed Daniel’s mind as his breathing became ragged and his powerful thrusts became more erratic, slowing down but striking harder blows to R’kan’s prostate.
Daniel cried out and bit his teeth into R’kan’s hardy scales, not even making a scratch as his back arched and he buried his length deep inside R’kan’s anal passage. R’kan gave him a few encouraging squeezes with his tight ring as Daniel’s cock twitched and spasmed pleasantly, then fired strings of hot cum deep into R’kan’s bowels. Daniel huffed tiredly, then collapsed atop his lover, breathing heavily. Soon, his limp prick softened and slid out of R’kan’s pucker, drooling a few drops of cum as it did so.
R’kan stroked his back gently; lovingly, painfully aware of his rock-hard erection. He reached down a clawed hand to jerk himself off so he could join Daniel in the blissful half-consciousness of post-sex, when the human began moving. Slowly, but surely, Daniel came face-to-face with R’kan’s throbbing, purple cock, and he rammed it into his mouth ravenously. R’kan couldn’t help but buck his hips and gasp at the sudden heat around his prick, driving his cock partway down Daniel’s throat.
Daniel moaned, the vibrations lighting up R’kan’s sensitive nerves like a Christmas tree, and R’kan felt Daniel’s lips kiss his sheath, every inch of his shaft buried within the human’s maw. Daniel swallowed, the convulsions of his throat massaging his prick and milking it in a tight, vice-like grip which sent him over the edge. He grabbed Daniel’s head forcefully and held it to his crotch as his hips jerked orgasmically, pumping thick wads of his cum straight into the human’s stomach. He gave a few final half-thrusts to milk out the last few drops, before releasing his head, which pulled away quickly with a hoarse gasp.
Daniel collapsed beside R’kan, panting heavily for air. R’kan’s eyes widened slightly when he suddenly realised Daniel hadn’t been prepared, but he got a reassuring pat on the stomach and a seductive lick on the lips.
“It’s okay bud. We’ve got the rest of our lives to get the hang of it,” Daniel whispered, before cuddling him lovingly. R’kan felt a different kind of warmth spread through him at that comment. He closed his eyes and nuzzled Daniel gently with his muzzle, wrapping his tail around their legs, tying them together at the calf. They lay there for hours – as long as they could before they got hungry – simply enjoying the warmth and relaxation of having somebody who loves you pressed against your body, the aroma of sex hanging in the air and within their addled minds.

Daniel relaxed, leaning against the trunk of a tree as he sat, soaking up the warmth of the afternoon sun. R’kan and his sister, Faya, were a few metres behind him in a clearing, chatting together and getting some brother-sister bonding time in before Faya had to leave on some urgent business. Daniel shielded his face with his hand to block out the bright sun as he heard a figure approach him. He recognised the yellow-scaled Lahzid as R’kan’s doctor-friend, Alph.
“Hi,” Daniel greeted him sleepily. Alph waved back, a little shyly.
“I, ah, I got something for you,” he announced, producing a syringe filled with a cyan liquid that Daniel instantly recognised.
“Is that…?” Alph nodded.
“It heals anything, but I figured if you use it on your leg again, it’ll speed up the process and remove your limp, effectively restoring you to full health – and making you have a hyperactive repair rate until your body uses up all the leftover chemicals. Take it; nobody else needs it.” Daniel nodded and accepted the syringe gratefully, then stopped.
“Thank you… but I can’t. I know some people who need it more than me.” His gaze drifted in the direction of the human outpost.
“R’kan will never let you,” Alph pointed out.
“That’s why you have to cover me, make sure he doesn’t realise where I’ve gone. Make up a lie… say I’ve gone to get us a snack, okay? I’ll be back soon.” Alph looked unsure, but nodded reluctantly.
“You’d better be. R’kan will kill me if he finds out.” Daniel patted him on the shoulder gratefully.
“Thank you. I promise I’ll be as quick as I can.”

Daniel held up the syringe to the light, exactly half of the liquid used up. One down, one to go. Daniel paced down the short corridor, and was intercepted by Lieutenant Dover.
“Daniel,” she hailed him. “You know she’ll try and kill you, right? She really hates you.” Daniel nodded.
“I know.” Dover sighed and produced a sleek, silver revolver out of her pocket. Clicking the chamber open, she revealed six shots were loaded inside. She held the gun out to Daniel.
“Take it, and that’s an order. I’m not moving until you put it in your pocket.”
“I’m not going to use it,” Daniel told her impatiently. She just shrugged.
“I don’t care. Take it.” Daniel snatched it out of her hand and shoved it in his pocket.
“There, now let me past.” Dover nodded and stepped aside, allowing Daniel to limp down the rest of the corridor and knock on the door at the end. A weary figure with long dark hair and squinting eyes peered at him for a few seconds.
“Who…?” the hardy girl asked, Daniel brushed past her, into her room, and faced her.
“It’s me, Daniel. Look! Lauren, I know I’m the last person you want to see right now, but –”
“You!” Lauren roared, leaping at him and clenching her hands around his throat. They both tumbled to the floor. Daniel kicked her, trying to throw her off, but her grip remained firm. “You have no idea how much pain you’ve caused me! I’m practically blind now! You fucked my brains and destroyed my face! I’ll kill you, you son of a bitch!” Daniel pulled the heavy revolver out of his pocket and bashed her across the face with it, making her grunt and roll off him. Daniel gasped and stumbled to his feet, clutching his sore throat in pain.
Lauren hauled herself back onto her feet, face crunching up as she struggled to make out Daniel’s form amongst the shifting shapes and colours. Her leg kicked something heavy and metal, and she snatched it up, whipping her weapon around the room. Daniel held his breath and remained still as Lauren stepped forward gingerly, revolver stretched out before her at arm’s length. Daniel waited until she was a foot away, then grabbed the revolver, stabbed her hand with the syringe, then spun around and jabbed it into her neck, squeezing the plunger down. “The fuck did you just –?”
Lauren collapsed onto her knees, clutching her head and shaking in pain. After ten minutes of this, she finally looked up at Daniel, her eyes red, teary, and full of recognition. “Wha…?” She held her hand in front of her face and flexed her fingers. “But… I… How?”
“Remember that Demon you tried to kill? He has a friend who concocts this stuff that can pretty much heal anything non-life-threatening, to an extent. I’d wager there’s enough in your system to heal those scars too, as long as you don’t go breaking an arm or something.”
Lauren stumbled over to her dresser and gripped the sides so hard her knuckles turned white as she stared searchingly into the mirror, at her own scarred face.
“I-I thought it would look much worse…” she uttered. She turned back to Daniel, who was rubbing his red, and probably bruised neck. “Why? After everything I did… I attacked your friend and tried to kill you. I don’t deserve this. Not from you.” Daniel plucked his gun from the ground and shoved it back into his pocket.
“We don’t always get what we deserve,” Daniel answered cryptically. “Sometimes life takes everything away from you, then gives you something special, as if rewarding you for remaining determined. I got my special something in the form of a fantastic lizard-man who wants to marry me. And the best part of it is, once you’ve been through it all, you take something away with you you’ll never forget. I’m taking away love and companionship, and hopefully, you’ll be taking away a hard lesson.”
“A-about what?” Lauren demanded, staring down at the empty syringe on the floor.
“Guess.” Daniel winked, before slipping outside and shutting the door behind him.
I didn’t take a genius to figure out what lesson he was referring to, and Lauren certainly did take it away with her. She remembered that lesson for the rest of her life.

Lieutenant Dover watched as Daniel left the camp. Once he was a safe distance away, she turned to Judo, who was leaning against a wall casually behind her.
“Did you tell Daniel about what we found in the flight recorder?” he asked. Dover shook her head.
“Nah, I’ll tell him later. We have some important work to do first,” she replied, dropping her formal mannerism while she was alone with her friend. Yes, that’s what they were: friends. Not comrades-in-arms or colleagues. Lately Dover wondered how cut out she really was for military work. If it weren’t for her father, she reckoned she probably wouldn’t have gotten past the rank of corporal.
“Oh? So it’s time?” Dover nodded.
“Yeah. We’ve pretty much rounded up every sympathiser in the region. And you know, with the whole flight recorder thing, I think the sooner we release what we’ve found to the public, the better. But to do that, we’ve got to take this base.”
“So what’s the plan exactly? Run around firing guns ‘til the others surrender?”
“Quick, clean and quiet,” Dover informed him. “First, we send an inspection team to the armoury under the pretence of stolen weaponry…”
Sergeant J. Rovel marched towards the armoury with a small squad trailing behind him.
“All units, please return all weapons to the armoury for inspection. We suspect there has been a thievery and need to do a quick inventory,” Dover’s voice rang out throughout the base. Rovel’s team counted up all the weapons in the shed that served as the armory, then began taking guns that were handed to them by obedient soldiers. Rovel nodded in satisfaction as he ticked the last armament off his checklist.
“All here ma’am,” he reported through his headset.
“Once that’s done,” Dover continued, “we assemble all non-sympathisers and organise them into search parties – without weapons. We’ll say that –”
“–We’re still sorting things out in the armoury, so we’ll have your weapons along shortly. In the meantime, I’ll be briefing you on your mission,” Dover finished, her eyes sweeping over the two-hundred-or-so men and women that were the non-sympathisers. “We believe we’ve found the location of the Lahzid base, which is why I’ve gathered so many of you here…”
“Meanwhile, in the armoury –”
“Get yer weapons, c’mon son! Not a single one of you goes without some big-ass lead-flinger in their arms!” a boisterous Warrant Officer cried, handing rifles, shotguns, pistols and machine guns left right and centre. The sympathisers were outnumbered two to one – but that just meant they got twice as many weapons. “If things go south we oughta be prepared boys! You too ladies – ain’t nothing more beautiful in God’s green earth than a fifty cal, amiright?”
“Once we’ve done with that, we march our little army over to the courtyard and spring our little ambush. This is where the plan ends. There’s no telling how they’ll react to having their own allies waving guns in their faces. If they surrender, good. We’ll put them all in the prison block until we sort things out. If they try to retaliate…”
“This could turn to a mass execution,” Judo concluded. “For them or for us.”
The ‘search parties’ were surrounded within seconds, all manner of firearms were trained on the human soldiers, and the next few seconds were filled with tense silence. Then angry mutterings began shifting around the enormous group of soldiers, making the sympathisers shuffle nervously, despite how many guns they carried.
All of the sympathetic soldiers wore bright blue banners around their left arm to make them stand out from the others, in case things turned into a chaotic battle.
“What is this?” a non-sympathiser demanded loudly, ceasing all other noise.
“We are the sympathisers,” Dover announced, her voice booming off the walls of the outpost. “We are here to make peace and end the war. There is no need for violence; if you surrender, we will not hurt you. If you wish to join us, you are most welcome. Before you make your decision, know this: I am in regular contact with the Lahzids – I even know the location of their base, and currently have two human ambassadors living there right now. I can guarantee you that they are not hostile, they mean us no harm, and will help us if we let them. Now, please choose. Will you join us, or continue your blind quest to annihilate everything humanity stands for?”
“Daniel’s one of the ambassador’s, isn’t he? That’s why he disappeared, isn’t it?” somebody cried out.
“That is correct,” Dover confirmed. A small group of soldiers stepped out of the ranks, their arms raised above their heads.
“We talked to Daniel one time. He’s a good kid. One day, his leg miraculously healed. The Lahzids saved him, didn’t they?” Dover nodded, and the small group joined the ranks of the sympathisers, receiving encouraging pats on the back and a few whispered words of gratitude.
“Anybody else?” Dover questioned them. A few individuals wearily emerged from the crowd and edged over to the sympathisers, but other than that, all was still. “So what do the rest of you plan on doing? You have a hundred guns pointed at you.”
“The thing is lieutenant,” a voice rang out from within the crowd. “The thing is that we knew your little plan all along. You think you’re the only one who can intercept frequencies? Do you think we wouldn’t notice a hundred soldiers being taken aside every couple of days? The Demons are masters of trickery; they attempt to use our very humanity against us. You’ve been fooled, but it’s okay. It’s not too late to change.” Finally, a grizzly, middle-aged man with hard eyes and the insignia of a Sergeant Major stepped forward and stared Dover down determinedly.
“No, you’re the one who’s been tricked. Tricked by the petty rivalries, greed and selfishness of mankind. Me and Daniel have been doing some digging, and guess what we found? Our governments – the rich and ‘important’ people – have been slaughtering millions of civilians. All the countries of this world are attacking one another and blaming it on the Lahzids just to settle old grudges, or to ensure that their enemies will have no power once this war is over.”
“Why did you wait until now to tell us? Seems pretty suspicious to me!” someone yelled.
“We don’t have solid, hard proof yet. Everything seems to be pointing to this, but we have no actual orders or written documents issuing the com–”
“So you have no proof? Then it’s probably not even true! Liar!” Dover glanced around, and saw some sympathisers shuffling their feet, looking about ready to turn back to the non-believers.
“Yet!” Dover yelled, but was drowned out by screams of agreement. “We don’t have anything yet! But we’re close!”
“We can take ‘em! For humanity!” the Sergeant Major cried. Roars of approval followed, and the non-believers prepared to fight, raising civilian-grade weapons from hidden places, and most of the sympathisers looked like they weren’t going to stop them. Then suddenly, the uproar was ended abruptly with a resonating clang! By the time Dover managed to pick out the Sergeant Major, his body was lying on a heap upon the ground, Lauren’s huffing form looming over him with a metal pipe in hand.
“Listen up jackasses!” the feisty girl commanded. “I don’t really have anything to say! But it’s good you’re listening, because that means you’re not doing stupid stuff!” Glances were exchanged confusedly, and soldiers awkwardly shifted around, unable to understand what was supposed to be happening. “Um… so, like, you guys know how much I hate Demons, right? I was like, a Demon-killing fanatic in our little ‘rebellion club’ thing. Well, I’ve changed my mind. Sure the scaly guys may look bad, but don’t you think everybody deserves a second chance? Think about it. What have they actually done to you? Do any of you have any personal experience with a Demon doing any major damage?”
A few mutterings, mostly ‘not really’s and ‘well, I had a friend…’s. “So if you keep thinking about it, doesn’t that mean our governments have been lying about how bad they are?” Shrugged shoulders, a few nods, and more muttering. “And maybe your lieutenant is wrong about this whole conspiracy thing, but does it really matter? Either way, the Demons don’t deserve to be wiped out. So let’s like, not try to kill each other over whether we should be killing them, alright? Maybe let’s try giving the aliens a chance, and see where it goes? I mean, it’s not like they outnumber us or anything. If we die, humanity can still prevail without us. But if we don’t seize this chance at peace, nobody will.”
“So you want us to potentially sacrifice our lives for a peaceful outcome that may or may not be possible?” somebody demanded.
“Isn’t that like, exactly what being a soldier is? Like, the very definition of signing up for the army? You know, if you got a dictionary and looked up the word ‘soldier’, isn’t that statement, word-for-word, precisely, one-hundred-percent what the word means? Like –”
“Yeah, we get it!” Lauren shrugged innocently.
“I’m just saying. That was a pretty dumb question. So, are you guys with me?!”
“Yeah!” everyone shouted in unison.
“Is everyone with her?!” Lauren pointed to Dover with both hands cheerily.
“Yes ma’am!”
“Oorah!” Lauren yelled, punching her fist in the air. Silence. “That’s not a thing here? Damn, I thought that was a thing. Okay folks; let’s get ready to do whatever the hell the lieutenant wants us to!”
