Syngeneia Kathairein part 34
#35 of Syngeneia Kathairein
First weekly update on here :D
> You say "Feels really good... blood magic should have some combat purposes, no?" You hear the clattering of armor as more guards storm the room, looking shocked at their dead allies and 2 dragons (you and Disarria) standing in the room. "Kill them!" the guard captain shouts. > You use your newly acquired blood magic to control the guards like puppets. You stand, covered in blood, and begin to control the guards. You feel your very essence become more powerful, you can sense other living things like never before! "Kill the unbelievers! Do my bidding or suffer my wrath!" you say to the guards. They nod eagerly, and turn to attack their allies. The guard captain stands, dumbfounded. "Wha- what are you?" he asks fearfully. > You end them by forcing the blood outside of their systems! "I," you say, standing and walking towards them "am a vessel of chaos." You force the blood in their veins to move towards their brain, causing them to die. > You say "Dis, look for the crystal? I think we did what we must do in this area, after this we get to mess with souls I think!" "Yeah! souls are cool!" You nod, and begin to walk out of the castle, the courtyard has the crystal levitating in front of you. You grab it, and once again an arch appears out of the ground. The portal appearing for you to go back to the hub room. > You say "Let's go back, Disarria! " "Yeah, let's go back!" You nod, and begin to walk through the portal. Back in the portal room, Mazatl smirks ''you truly are chosen! see if you can do the soul room and 5th room in a record speed too!'' Disarria meets her gaze ''oh, you bet!'' you, as usual, are more reserved... but you're confident! "Let's do this!" you say. One of the portals begins to glow, and you step through it, arriving in a room made of a black, veined marble. The room is dimly lit by candles sitting in among the countless human skulls that make up the walls. In the center of the room sits a brass circle containing dozens of candles. > You say "This place is haunted alright, full of souls... Hey! above the circle! smash that dodecahedron, Dis!" You look up, and spot a dodecahedron made of brass, with a candle sitting in each face. You look back at Disarria. "You see it?" She nods, and you begin to fly up to it. Once you reach it, you punch at the dodecahedron. It begins to wobble before falling down and hitting the ground. The candles all go out, and the room begins to get brighter and brighter with a dim blue light.
The screeching of the dead permeate everywhere... However, you feel new power! > You say "See that closed door? I think we need to do something with those souls to open it... " Disarria nods. ''I got an idea...'' She holds her claw out and moves a soul with success! it is guided to inside a candle by her, the candle is now haunted... ''I think you need to do the same with the rest of them...'' You look at her. "That's it?" Disarria nods, smiling, she has a bit of blood on her teeth. You begin to manipulate souls. It is surprisingly easy for you, and you have all the candles haunted in no time. The room begins to shake and rumble, and the sound of screeching souls begins to pierce your ears. > You say "God dammit Dis! fucking noise! " You cover your ears as the noise becomes louder and louder. The walls begin to bleed, and the candles begin to be blown out by the wind that is picking up within the room. "What the fuck did you do?!" you scream at Disarria, as you continue to block out the sound of screeching souls that permeates the room. The candles begin to go out one by one, until the only light source left is the eerie blue glow coming from the center of the room. > You let out a psychic scream to silence the souls. ''ENOUGH!'' You clench your head and unleash a psychic scream, submitting all the souls in your range. The noise stops immediately. You take a deep breath. "Let's get out of here." You look up at the portal, which is now open. "After you, my lady." Disarria looks at you, and smiles. She walks over to the portal, turning around briefly to blow you a kiss. You catch it, and pretend to be choking on it as if it's toxic gas. > You say "Got the crystal, too? " "Yeah, and I'm keeping it." She enters the portal, and disappears. You follow her through the portal. You find yourself in the hub room again. Disarria is there, smiling. "See? That wasn't so bad, was it?" You smile. "So we're done here?" ''well, we did test out the four hidden schools... there is a fifth portal. let's enter the final test I suppose.'' > You run through the final portal, this is the final test which will test all 4 magic schools. You walk over to the portal, and look in. The portal is pitch black, with silver lights slowly pulsating. You reach out to touch the portal, and it feels like static. Mazatl's voice can be heard and it's all serious moody-gloomy now. "This is the final test. We must enter the portal, and you will be tested on all your magical abilities. If you fail the test, you will be teleported back to the start of the test. If you pass... you will get to keep these abilities for Syngeneia itself...''
You arrive on a asteroid in the void. no stars.... this must be a pocket dimension of it's own, so barren, so agoraphobic and vast... "What... what is this place?" You look around, you see the portal close, and realize you can't go back. Not that you'd want to. You look over to Disarria, she's stood still, looking around the void, trying to find something. "These are the mysteries of the galaxy. Outside the realm of mortals, outside space and time..." You look around, seeing an old man sat on a rock. The old man looks like a mystic in rags of some sort, you can sense great power radiating from him as no normal man could get into here. He turns to you and Disarria. ''so, purple dragons of mine. You completed all four training goals, yes?'' You nod in response. "We did." He smiles, and slowly stands up. You notice he's missing a leg, and there's a wooden stump instead of it. He begins to limp over to you both. "Good. Good. So you're both prepared for the final test..." You look at Disarria, who looks around nervously. The old man stops in front of you, and holds your hand out to him, palm up. ''well then, you need to be clever for this one. You, after all..'' His voice changes to a darker, angrier two-tone. ''ARE MY CREATIONS!'' red lines form a web all over the skin of the old man, and he explodes into a bloody mess.... a giant shadow of a dragon forms in the distance! Apocalion? no... this one feels different..... You walk backwards slowly, and Disarria stands in front of you, growling. "I won't let you harm my purple dragon." The dragon roars, and flies towards you at a tremendous speed. You feel your soul being crushed by the sheer presence of this beast. It's like staring into the heart of a black hole... everything is over. The dragon stops right in front of you, and stares into your eyes. > You say "The Warchief? creator of the purple and violet dragons?!" "The very same." You stare into the dragon, and feel your willpower being drained. You can't help but be entranced by it, the beast is radiating power... you look over to Disarria, who is still growling at the dragon. You feel your heart pounding in your chest, are you scared? are you nervous? are you anxious? no.... you feel excitement. "Purple Dragon! Embrace your legacy!" The Warchief lifts his massive claw and summons something; a pile of meat, and next to it, a pile of soul gems. ''you got unlimited power of the four Annihilatoran magic schools. Only true gods can bind life, but go ahead and make a construct out of these.'' You and Disarria nod. > You say "Dis, I say we purify the meat with antimagic first, all life, living or dead, got latent nature magic and i don't want it to interfere."
She nods. ''You're right.'' You both cast your purifying magic, and the meat changes color from red to blackish red, you can feel it's... empty... > You say "step 2, let's use mutation magic to shape that flesh now... hm. I was thinking a torso with eyes where no eyes should be, we can imbue them so they can attack with magic later. " You both focus, and Disarria's hands turn purple as she begins to twist and morph the dead flesh. It glows a faint purple as it transforms. "I'm going to give him an eye on his hand, that he can use to blast wherever he wants to" You nod. "That's a good idea." You both begin to work on the abomination in front of you. eventually, you warped and stuck the meat together in a horrible fashion. The abomination resembles a cross between a scorpion, shoggoth and a dragon! it is still empty meat, with no life force... your blood magic should be able to reinvigorate this creature. "We have a creature!" You begin to channel your power into the beast, and it slowly begins to feel alive and vibrant, without a soul it's not much use. The Warchief senses you are soon to run out of mana and raise his claw once more. a blue cone of mana overwhelms you and Disarria! This feels amazing! you feel as if you could do anything! ''Dark Siphon should be used to provide mana in regular situations, dragons'' the Warchief remarks with his overwhelming presence. > You say "Disarria, I'm going to grab a few soul gems. I want to imbue each eye with an individual soul so it can target independent of the body, I will then use bestow to gift the eyes frost eye-beams to attack with. Sounds good by you?" "Yeah, that's a great idea!" You look into the eyes of the abomination, and decide on where to put the gems. You place a soul gem in the forehead, above the eye, and another in its mouth. The gems begin to drain the energy from the soul within, and it soon loses all color you use your magic to imbue the gems with the power to attack with frost beam. "I can feel it changing!" Disarria says excitedly. > You say "Yup! the gems are dissolving! the souls are settling! This is going to be one unethical mess and I love it!" The creature stirs to life... a horrid amalgam with multiple souls. A shadow of life, but an extremely powerful abomination nonetheless. The Warchief steps forward. "I have given you two the gift of creating life, something only the gods may do. I have shown you my power. You will now join me in my crusade to unite the world against Apocalion!" You begin to hear a voice in your head, it's the Warchief.
"The world needs you both!" The Warchief lets out a roar that shakes you to your core. The void stirs, and darkness swirls! From vortexes, mechanical abominations still. most small, some medium sized. It's obvious; the Warchief wants to test your creature out in combat! > You say "well then, this looks fun! You need a name... yes, Nihiloid will do for our abomination. Nihiloid, attack!" You watch as the abomination lurches forward, it's body moving in unnatural ways. It's head has a tentacle like feeler with an eye on the end, and it whips around as it walks, as if looking for something. You give the command again, and it begins to search the area. The eyes begin to glow a faint blue, and it unleashes a blast of frost at an enemy! > You say "Awesome! Nihiloid, charge and fire frost rays at will!" The abomination begins to move forward, seeking its prey. It's eyes begin to glow brighter, as it unleashes a flurry of frost at the enemies! You watch as the enemies begin to slow down and be frozen in place. Soon, they begin to shatter and explode! The abomination lets out a screech, the leader of the mechanical eldritch horrors engages! > You say "Focus fire the big one! full power!" The eyes begin to glow a bright blue, and the leader soon has ice crystals forming all over it's body! The Warchief watches intently. "This one is certainly useful for my purposes...'' With another purple haze, all the creatures, including Nihiloid, fade into the void. The Warchief seems pleased. ''Very interesting, purple dragons. That... creature of yours will do well. Nihiloid will be trialed for mass production into the Annihilatoran Onslaught'' Disarria asks about a reward, in which response the Warchief infiltrates your mind with a new spell! Summon: Omikouillin. You realize this is the name of the Gorgors given by their creators! Demonic spiders that fuse to the spines of the deceased to puppet their bodies is macabre but immensely useful. "We shall meet again, my allies. The crusade to save the world will be underway soon!" With that, the projection of the Warchief disappears. a crystal fades into existence itself. Disarria is quick to grab it, and a portal rises from the ground as well. You make your way back to the hub where Mazatl awaits you. > You say "As you can see, 5 crystal shaped slots on the doors. We won and also got a spell to summon Omikouillin!" Mazatl looks at you with a neutral expression. "I see you have done well for the Elders. The Gorgors are a powerful force that can easily be turned against our enemies.... but only if used correctly, demons are never a good idea to get too messy with... Anyway... see that circular platform in the center of the room? It will take you to the top of this building, these crystals are a power source and you are inside an extremely powerful teleporter! I assume you wish to go to Chernitrov? Klyanev's a mess... We Violets see all.'' > You say "Yep, Chernitrov. Disarria? Join me on the platform." You both get on the platform, it spins around while ascending. Magical... no visible way it's powered. Once you are high up, gravity has ceased working as it's outside the sphere of influence of the asteroid. > You say "Dis... this is weird, there is no... weight here? we're floating!" Disarria looks around, she seems to be enjoying the experience. "I know right? We should go back up here when we can!'' You use the air to move towards a console, seems straightforward... Button press ahoy! Energy tingles in the air.... a ray of purple shoots towards Syngeneia planet! Soon you are channeled towards Chernitrov...
