Dragon Harem Reboot

Chapter 5: A Friendly Fox

For DrakeHavok

By Draconicon

Three days since Deborah claimed the status of Chief of Police…

“No, I don’t want the old police chief as one of my harem members. Stop asking me that!”

“Sir, he’s useless here. All he does is lay around and mope. At least up there he’ll be doing something.”

“Yes, moping around until someone forces him to do something that he’s no good at. Again, no thank you.”

“What’s stopping you from making him good at it? I can’t imagine everyone’s been good at sex before you got your claws in them.”

The black dragon glared at the suspended image of the Doberman woman, shaking his head a few times. He let her know a little bit of information, and she managed to logic out some of the other things that he had done with Drake and Joshua. He shook his head.

“I try not to do it too often. I don’t want to make it a habit.”

“Damn. The time you’re fine with leaving free will alone is the time when it would actually do me a favor.”

“Yeah, yeah. Is there anything important that you needed to talk about?”

“Aside from the former chief driving me out of my mind?”

“Annnnd that’s my answer, if you think that’s the most important thing on your plate today. I’ll check in tonight for the evening report. That will be all.”

Draconicon waved his hand, and the communication spell faded. He shook his head again, leaning back on his throne and resting his hands on the heads of his two harem members. Furry on one side, scaly on the other, they were surprisingly comforting under him. Just a little reminder of devotion, mostly willingly given.

The dragon overlord of the Soaring Sound looked down on the pair of them, a white dragon on one side, and a mouse on the other. Both knelt with their legs spread wide, showing off their ringed shafts, and both of them were drooling their arousal over the stone floor. They looked up at him, and he smiled at the way that they seemed concerned.

“Don’t worry. I’m just a little stressed right now.”

“Do you need some help, Master?”

“No, Joshua, I’m fine for the moment.”

He scratched gently between the rodent’s ears, even as he felt Drake looking at him with one eye-ridge quirked upwards. Doing his best to ignore the way that his first harem boy obviously didn’t quite believe him, Draconicon stood up and walked over to one of the few windows that graced the harem quarters, and looked out over his city.

The big place seemed more peaceful already, now that the Doberman had a free hand in cleaning it up. He planned to send Joshua out to oversee some of the different operations that the newly canine police force was doing, but he had every confidence that his harem boy would come back with good reports on what was happening out there.

At the same time, he was very aware of other problems that were out in the world. The threat from his supervisor still lingered over him, and he was more than aware that the measures he’d taken with the police force would put him on shaky ground with the populace. Some people would be happy to simply have the police back, others would be angry at him for further interference, and that wasn’t even counting what might happen with the more extreme groups that felt dragons were an abomination.

And beyond that, there were the dragon overlords that neighbored him…

Ugh, there’s never any sort of release from this stress…nothing permanent, at least, he thought as he leaned forward on the windowsill. His arms propped up his chin as he tried to think of something that would safeguard himself, and those that mattered. But…

Well, there was only so much he could do. His magic was powerful, perhaps some of the most powerful there was on this side of the country, but he had so much that he had to take care of, and his raw resources were smaller than those that neighbored him. Large clusters of land were arrayed against him, and he knew that it was only a matter of time before Paleral or one of the other overlords started moving against him, permission or no permission.

Grumbling, the dragon pulled himself onto the windowsill, standing on it. He heard his harem members stand up, and looked over his shoulder.

“I’ll be back later. I need to walk around. I need to…I need to think for a while.”

And with that, he leaped forward, his wings snapping open and catching the wind. It pulled him upwards, and he let it carry him higher and higher, further and further from the city to the place where dragons belonged.

The sky.

He floated along the wind currents, his wings making the instinctual adjustments he needed to stay in the air as he flew in slow, lazy circles. The feeling of being off the ground left a fair bit of his stresses behind, allowing him to close his eyes and just…relax.

The boys do their best, but there’s only so much that they can do down there, he thought as his robes fluttered around him, the wind buffeting him from every direction. The constant fight that dragons had with the sky followed his flight, but he barely noticed. It was an easy fight, an easy task to dominate the air around him, and let him keep soaring higher, and higher, past the heat on the ground and closer to the chill air that filled the heavens.

Draconicon smiled as he felt the air come near to freezing around him, and leveled off. His robes crackled with frost towards the hem, but he didn’t mind. The coolness was good…it was good.

He circled the city, looking down at it. With a lake on one side and a grand system of water and channels on the other, the capital of the Soaring Sound was truly a majestic sort of place, from a distance. It had been greened up since the dragons’ arrival, but most of that had been there before he had arrived. It was…a good place, and it was getting better.

He cast his eyes towards the east. Though the horizon kept him from actually seeing the lands out there, he could imagine them. The sprawling flatlands that were not that far away, the plains that were overrun with the creatures of Shisan. The dragoness who believed herself an empress, she treated her people like they were nothing but experiments, and she had a spell over the lands that led them to believe that she was a goddess, a creature of power that they should worship.

Sometimes I wonder if the rest of us fall for that, to some degree, he thought, thinking of how none of the regional supervisors had done anything to stop her as she had consolidated her control. No warnings for her…

Then again, it hadn’t been the fact that he had done it that had bothered his supervisor. It had been the way that he’d only taken a half-step, something that had left the humans with power that could be used against him and against other dragons.

He snorted. Rebellions were pointless in this day and age, and it was time that the other dragons embraced that fact. Paranoid as they were about the people they ruled over, they should be far more worried about the power that was arrayed against them by their own kind.

Draconicon cared greatly for the humans that he ruled over. Not precisely in the way that they might have wanted, he supposed, but he cared for them more than most of the overlords. He knew what they could do, and he knew what they needed help with. He’d fought against them and learned their capabilities over the course of the war, and he learned what their weaknesses were.

And what he’d learned had told him a very simple, graspable fact that all the other dragons seemed to ignore.

Humans…were weak.

Yes, they were incredibly adaptable. Yes, they had the ability to persevere through many kinds of hopeless situations. Yes, they were intelligent and could learn how to change things. But so could most people that had survived long enough to become the dominant species on their planet.

Their literature was filled with stories of humans that had been conquered and had eventually turned the tables on their conquerors, due to the overclass being overconfident, or finding a weakness, or – as many seemed to reach for – that humans were somehow more subtly dangerous than any other species in the universe.

He’d fought humans. He’d seen some of his friends die to humans. And he knew that those that clung to that idea were wrong.

Yet, at the same time, he didn’t despise humans for being weak. Draconicon saw them for what they were. People that tried, people that occasionally succeeded, but people that were of no serious danger to dragonkind. The longer that the dragons occupied the world, the more that they re-populated it with their own numbers, the weaker that danger would become.

Those dragons that believed that humans could successfully rebel these days were wrong. Unfortunately, Shisan and his other two neighbors were some of the few dragons that had figured that out, and unlike him, they weren’t so scrupulous about the idea of protecting their people. They were more likely to use them.

So…I will have to use some of mine, in turn.

Draconicon shook his head, a shiver running down his spine that had nothing to do with the cold air that surrounded him. He pulled his wings in, and began his descent back towards the city.

Sometimes, the emptiness of the sky led to an emptiness of the soul, and he didn’t want to make plans on an empty soul.

#

He landed at one of the transit terminals that remained from the old times, before the war. The humans had once called this an airport. Now, it served a similar purpose, though with different sources of transportation than the great steel beasts that had flown through the air in the past.

Draconicon passed by the few officials that still stood for security, allowed through by his species and his office. He passed by the silent metal detectors and the other tools that they formerly used, and walked past the people that were in line with tickets and other things, heading towards the terminals.

He came to the ones that allowed people in from the east. Another dragon, one perhaps two centuries younger than himself, stood around a four-pronged floor fixture, weaving his hands back and forth. Blue light flickered between his fingers, like lightning, and he whispered soft words under his breath. Draconicon remained silent, staying behind his fellow dragon, not wanting to interrupt the spell.

Suddenly, the lightning energy raced out of the blue dragon’s fingers, hitting the four prongs and creating a swirling circle of energy. It spun around and around until it snapped into a picturesque view of a number of people in a different terminal, people that were in Shisan’s territory. They started pouring through in droves, and Draconicon smiled.

Whatever else humans complain about, they can’t complain about teleportation, he thought.

One by one, the different people poured through. A good number of them were fully human – at least to his view – but there were others with modifications. Some came through with thicker muscle than anyone could get naturally, while others had fur that stuck through their clothes while still actually looking fully human beneath it. Some came through with antennae that flickered back and forth, and others stopped at security to get their claws filed down for their stay outside of their home town.

His neighbor did a great deal of things to her people. He didn’t entirely approve, but then again, with what he was doing with his harem…

He cleared his throat as the spell came to an end, and the casting dragon turned around immediately. The blue bowed at the waist.

“Overlord Draconicon. It is an honor to see you. What brings you to the teleport station?”

“I’m…looking for something.”

“I see. And what might you be looking for?”

“Just…someone. A person, I guess.”

“I…see. Do you need –”

“No, I don’t need any help…Actually, yes, yes I do.”

Partly out of boredom, partly out of something that he’d been considering for a while now. If someone was to make the first move, perhaps it should be him.

“Do you handle the paperwork for all the people coming through?”

“I do, sir.”

“Are there any visas for people moving out here?”

“I…think there might be, sir. Let me check.”

The dragon turned, his submissive attitude gone in the space of two seconds as he shouted for some of the humans to get him the files. Draconicon shook his head. Hierarchies were always interesting things, and while dragons had to respect dragons, those that were outside the hierarchy could be treated however one wanted.

It didn’t take long for the files to be brought back, pieces of parchment mixed with pieces of paper. He took them as they were handed over, and flipped through them.

“May I ask what you’re looking for, sir?”

“Someone that I can offer something to.”

“I’m not sure I understand, sir.”

“Good. That’s what I’m hoping for.”

The blue dragon arched an eyeridge, but Draconicon ignored it. He had an idea, and he was working it through even as he looked through the pages. Not that one, only looking to stay for a few months extra. Not that one, had lived too far out in the country to be useful. Not that one, had a definite focus somewhere else, though would be a good idea to keep an eye on…

Ah, this one is promising, he thought as he pulled out one of the different visas that had been stuffed in the pile. It was for a young man, one that had grown up in the capital city of Shisan’s little empire, and one that was still purely human, by his records. It looked like he hadn’t been out of that area since the end of the war, and was traveling to find a place to settle down. A work visa, rather than a traveler’s one…most interesting.

He pulled the paper free and handed the rest back to the humans. Giving the blue an encouraging smile, he walked away, muttering the human’s name under his breath to memorize it.

“Robert Grant…Robert Grant…”

#

Robert Grant was a computer technician, or at least he had been, before the war. The business was drying up rapidly back at home, with Empress Shisan’s insistence that so much of the technology world be replaced by her various magical gadgets and gizmos. Of course, it couldn’t be completely replaced – it was too ingrained in human society for them to move off of it completely – but it did mean that people like him were fighting for less and less work as they were made more and more redundant.

He’d left those lands to come here, on the rumor that Overlord Draconicon had permitted some of the mechanical and technological parts of the city to continue. It might be mixed with magic now, and become a hybrid of technology and mana, but that was a hell of a lot better than what he had been dealing with back at home.

Robert answered the border agency’s questions quickly and efficiently, as the twenty-four year old always did with anyone that he interacted with, and he was soon passed through. Adjusting his t-shirt, he walked towards the baggage claim…

And immediately found himself bumping into another security guard. This one, however, was already holding his luggage, and looked much more…stern…than the one in the border agency.

Don’t get all worked up, it’s probably completely fine. He’s just…delivering your luggage, Robert told himself as he forced a smile.

“Uh, thanks. I was gonna get it on my own, but I’m glad you saved me a trip.”

He reached for the suitcase, but the guard pulled it out of reach.

“Sorry, sir, but you’ll have to wait for a few minutes. There’s someone that wants to ask you a few more questions.”

“What do you mean? Am I in trouble?”

“No, sir. But there are a few questions that my boss has for you that you need to answer.”

“If I’m not in trouble, can’t I just get my suitcase and go? You have my contact information in the border place…”

“Sorry, sir. I can’t really deny this order.”

“…Okay, then.”

He sat down in a nearby chair, and tried not to be annoyed as the security guard stood next to him, holding his suitcase in a tight grip. It was probably just a misunderstanding…or maybe, maybe, he was really lucky and someone already had a job offer.

Robert chuckled at that. Impossible, really. He might have put out a few flyers, but…

Click, click, click.

He blinked, the sound familiar from the ‘inspections’ that had gone on in his workplace. Dragons always made that clicking sound as they walked around, their toe claws never trimmed enough to avoid it. He turned to the source of it.

Approaching from the south side of the baggage claim was a dragon. A seven foot tall, robed dragon with his hands clasped behind him. White eyes, black scales, and a series of runes along the robe he wore immediately identified him as the somewhat famous overlord of the Soaring Sound, and Robert jumped to his feet, bowing at the waist.

“Sir.”

He kept his eyes on the ground, holding the bowing pose until the clicking came to a stop. Those feet were right in his view, and he heard a soft chuckle above his head. Yet, he refused to move. What if he hadn’t bowed deep enough? What if he had been too late? What if –

“Stand up straight, Robert Grant. I don’t have the same needs as Shisan.”

Following the order immediately, he found himself staring up at the dragon, and bit back the urge to apologize. Better to keep quiet, he thought, than to make a fool of himself. After all, the dragons were known to be…quick to judgment.

The overlord gestured for him to sit, and he did. A different seat was pulled over, and Draconicon crossed his legs, sitting almost in a lotus-like position as he got comfortable. Robert, on the other hand, was getting more and more uncomfortable, wondering what he had done to get the attention of the overlord himself. He supposed he’d find out soon.

The silence stretched on, and he wondered if the overlord was waiting for him to speak. If that was the case, what should he say? What were the customs in this land? Should he be formal? Informal? It seemed unlikely, but –

“So, Robert. I see that you’re here looking for a job.”

“…What? I, I mean, yes, sir. I am.”

“And one in technology, of all things. A bit of a dying industry to be trying to find a job in.”

“Well…in a way, yes, though I’ve heard a lot of rumors that there’s still a lot of work to be done as magic and technology start to merge.”

“It is true, yes. But most of your kind don’t seem so interested in that. Are you saying that you are?”

“If it allows me to keep food in my mouth and a roof over my head, yes. It’s not my…preference, so to speak, but it’s something that I would like to continue doing.”

“I see, I see. And if I were to tell you that there’s an opening for something like that?”

Robert’s mind was racing. This was…this wasn’t anything like the courts of Shisan or her followers. This wasn’t like the society that had sprung up throughout the flatlands, or in the mountains that she had raised and lowered throughout her empire. This was…this was strange. He slowly nodded.

“I…would like to be part of something like that.”

“And if there was a cost to it?”

“It, um, it would depend on the cost, but I think I would be willing.”

“If the cost was your humanity?”

He shrugged, a slightly nervous smile crossing his face.

“Humanity isn’t something that’s so valued in the lands of Empress Shisan, sir. She tends to regard it as a liability, and it’s hard not to take on her values.”

“Why is that?”

He started to open his mouth, then paused. Why was that? Admittedly, she’d said it in an announcement months ago, and he’d gone along with it then. It seemed so right…but out here…

Shaking his head, Robert pushed forward.

“It doesn’t matter. If it is the cost, I’d take it. I’ve worked with enough partial humans to be comfortable with it.”

“And if the cost included working directly under me, as well? With access to a number of financial benefits, and private facilities?”

His instincts told him that there was a trap somewhere around here. No dragon offered something like this to a random human, not without something waiting to trap them there. He knew that there had to be more to the cost. Yet, at the same time, this was a deal he’d never find anywhere else. What would it matter, if he had to put himself under the dragon’s authority? The overlord seemed nice enough…

“I think it would be workable. As long as you –”

He bit his lip, but the overlord smiled.

“As long as I what, Robert?”

“As…” Well, he might as well get it out. If he wasn’t clear, he could end up getting in more trouble later. “As long as you aren’t going to make me make weapons or something…”

“Don’t worry. I’m not interested in that. I’m more interested in smaller gadgets. Little things that I can use for other purposes.”

“…I can do that.”

“Good.”

The overlord leaned forward, and Robert looked down, away from those swirling white eyes. He looked down, to the dragon’s lips, instead, watching them as the dragon asked one more question.

“And if the last bit of the cost included your body, when I called for it? For you to lower yourself to your knees, to open your mouth to taste me? To lift your hips and offer your rump when I felt the hunger for it? Would you accept that price, Robert?”

His breath caught in his throat, and he blushed worse than he ever remembered doing before. His cheeks almost hurt from it, but he couldn’t look away. His eyes went down, down, past a bulge that he hadn’t seen in the dragon’s crotch all the way to the ground.

How…why… He had heard of dragons taking human lovers, but he hadn’t thought that it was something they actually did. Shisan had a harem, admittedly, but they were all dragons…or so he was told. Was it a lie? Did the Empress take humans and alter them to her taste?

Was…was this the real reason that he had been approached?

Was he willing to pay that price?

Robert could tell that his cock was saying yes. Rising up in his pants, and only concealed by the fact that he had his hands folded over his lap, his cock was throbbing at the idea of being a dragon’s lover. He had always been interested in them, even before the war, and the mystique that they carried hadn’t faded, even if some of his fantasies had been ruined by the callous nature of Empress Shisan, a nature that he was becoming more and more aware of away from her.

The black-scaled overlord reached out, taking his hand, and Robert looked up again.

“I promise this. If you accept this price, you will get everything you need. I need someone that can understand technology at a level I can’t. I need someone that has an inventive, adaptive mind. And – being honest with you – I need someone that has been in Shisan’s lands, someone that knows how it is run, how it works. Because I have plans involving her, and I need information to take those plans to the next level.

“I will give you everything you need, if you’ll give me everything I need. Do we have a deal?”

He thought, and he thought fast. There would never be another opportunity like this, though it had a huge price tag on it. He could already imagine what his life would be like. Working through the day on the papers and programs, on the circuits and the inventions that the dragon would want, and working through the night with a dragon cock slammed into him, rutting him constantly.

Shuffling as his cock throbbed at the idea, Robert knew it would be dangerous to reject the idea. Even if he managed to avoid insulting this overlord, Empress Shisan would be suspicious of him if she ever found out that this meeting took place. He could be in danger for the rest of his life, if he said no…

“I’ll take –”

“Ah. I have a different way for you to accept.”

Overlord Draconicon stood up, and as he did, his black robes opened. Robert’s blush got brighter and hotter as the dragon’s cock flopped out, dropping down and hanging low. It was…huge, and he could already imagine it getting bigger, even though it was standing at half-hard as it was. The dragon pointed to the ground before him, and Robert dropped to his knees without question.

“You’re already trained, I see…”

“Formal…formal etiquette in the lands of Empress Shisan, sir.”

“I see. It’ll stand you in good stead. Now, open your mouth, if you accept my deal.”

He did, and the dragon slowly dragged his cock around his face. Robert shivered, a soft moan coming past his lips as he felt the warmth of that stiffening rod rubbing along his cheeks, over his forehead and down along his nose. Nobody passed them; only the security guards were watching, and he could tell that they weren’t going to say anything to anyone.

Draconicon tapped his forehead twice with that cock, and Robert groaned as he felt a spark of magic slip from shaft to skin. Immediately, a prickling heat spread across his forehead, and then down towards his cheeks and lips.

The overlord gave him no chance to say anything. That fat cock slipped down his throat, forced deep in one hard thrust before he could speak. Robert sucked on it out of instinct, gagging slightly as it pushed towards the back of his mouth, but somehow, the slick pre that filled his mouth seemed to make it slide back easier, pushing into his throat without any problems.

He laid his hands on the dragon’s thighs, trying to get his balance, but even as he did, he felt the prickling heat spreading down his body, and as he looked down at his hands, he saw why. Orange and black fur sprouted from the backs of his hands, and his fingers started thickening with it. He stared as his nails darkened, and extended, getting longer, and curling against the dragon’s thighs.

The fur spread further and further up his arms, somehow thinning his limbs, taking away muscle that he had built up in his basement over the years, and making them look long and slender, soft and supple. All the while, he kept sucking, dragging his mouth up and down that cock...without any encouragement, either.

“Heh, very good...keep going, boy...keep...mmph...going.”

Hearing the grunt of pleasure was all that Robert needed to keep going. With dragon pre flooding down his throat, he felt the change continue, rushing over him. As he bobbed his head, he noticed his lips pulling further and further out. At first, he thought that he was just getting more flexible, but as his nose stuck out too, he knew the truth. He was getting a muzzle, a long, slender one that was barely wide enough to fit that thick shaft in his mouth.

As his ears tickled and twitched, getting longer and moving up the side of his head, he felt his pants get tighter, and tighter, particularly in the back. He felt it spread, getting longer, for some reason, and the thought - Tail! - popped into his mind. With a small squirm, he managed to make it slip free, popping out and waving side to side as it grew longer, and longer.

“Such a clever man...you’ll make a clever fox…”

A fox...a fox...he liked that. He moaned as he swallowed that thick dragon cock to the base, holding his nose against the dragon’s musky crotch. Heavy balls pressed against his chin, and he smiled at the feeling of such a masculine male claiming him. Robert panted, feeling the heat running down his body. Orange and white fur started sticking out of the little holes in his t-shirt, and he groaned in discomfort.

Discomfort, it turned out, that faded in seconds as the dragon waved his hand. Robert groaned as he felt his clothes disappear, and only blushed slightly as he was rendered naked. He pulled his head back, panting heavily, and looked at himself.

It was clear that the transformation wasn’t finished. His head was vulpine, as was his upper body, all the way down to his waist. His cock was slipping down into a sheath, and he felt a tingle of pleasure for some reason as he saw some inches disappear from it. Almost like...almost like it was proper. Right.

His legs and feet were the only things still human, and he looked at the dragon, silently asking what to do.

His overlord - and Draconicon was his overlord, now, he realized - waved his hand, and those feet were brought to the dragon’s slick cock. As soon as they touched his soles, the undersides seemed to swell, getting softer and padded. A warm pink spread from heel to toes, and his feet started getting...bigger? Definitely longer, and wider towards the toes.

“You...you like big ones, then, sir?”

“Heh...I think it fits you.”

Despite himself, Robert found it true. As a fox, he should have large feet...or large paws, in a way, considering how much bigger his toes were. The tops of his feet were sheathed in black fur, and orange and white crept up the rest of his legs, leaving them as slender and supple as his arms had become.

His entire body had changed shape. From a muscular geek, he’d turned into more of a twink, with a soft rump and a slender, curved body…

And he liked it.

Overlord Draconicon put his legs down as they finished changing, and the fox stood up. Robert bowed at the waist, and smiled.

“How may I serve, sir?”

“In the future? As technical advisor, as chief engineer and programmer, and, perhaps, as a spymaster. For now?”

The dragon pointed to a bench.

“Bend over.”
