#7 of Jason Wolfe: Descent

**Chapter 7: He's My FOAF (Friend Of A Friend)

Newroads High School**

It was hard to think just how much had changed for Jason Wolfe over the course of a single weekend.

First, he now had a boyfriend... Well, that really wasn't the first thing. The first thing was that he found out he was gay and the guy he slept with from the onset became his boyfriend.

So getting a boyfriend was the second thing.

Third was that he was rapidly developing superpowers. He wasn't sure exactly what they were yet but as the weeks melted into months, Jason started putting on muscle faster than usual. With each passing day, the gym teachers would comment just on how much he was starting to look like his father and suggesting he join the football team the following year just as his father did. He was already sure he had rapid regeneration has a power. Any cut or bruise would fade within a few seconds of being inflicted. Supernatural strength was also an added factor. He was even stronger than average supers his age. The weights in the weights room were practically weightless.

Fourth thing... yeah... His dad was a god.

But Jason readjusted fairly easily. With all and by all, that meant all the secrets Jason, Connor, Robin and Dan were aware of out in the open, life started to drift away from the ridiculously bizarre to the painfully mundane.

Sure Jason never held Connor's hand in public and he constantly worried that someone might find out and then hed be branded as that gay kid for his entire life but that was all part of his normal, neurotic self-torture. Even the therapy sessions with Mrs. Le'Tombe had gotten pretty funny.

The week after Jason had his entire world blown apart before being reconstructed into something better, V10 the Valiant (the No One of the Mind) and I5 the Ingenious(the No One of the Soul) both accompanied Jason to his next therapy session. Naturally, that snake, Le'Tombe didn't see either of them. So it really horrified her when Jason started spilling secrets about her that she thought she had trapped well behind her professionalism as a school psychologist.

With V10 reading her mind and I5 looking into her soul, Jason had Le'Tombe tending her resignation within a month. Unfortunately she was also a Senior level Biology teacher. Since then, he started burning through the therapists fairly quickly. Dan didnt approve but V10 and I5 were just having too much fun to stop. And really, Dan couldn't do anything but ask nicely for them to stop.

And why would they?

They wanted to make sure everyone knew their 'nephew' was perfectly normal... Sort of. If people weren't going to let the fact Jason should be severely traumatised from being abandoned as a child, running with a gang, being involved in a school shooting and having his father return miraculously to pick him up, then they were just going to make sure all the therapists ran out of the building screaming until the school stopped sending him to therapy.

Oddly enough, getting school psychologists to flee in terror skyrocketed his popularity with the student body.

Clang!

Robin slammed his locker, just barely missing his fingers as he reached for his Social Studies book.

"Hey!"

"I take it you have another therapy session this afternoon?" Robin asked, staring at him critically.

He smirked at her and pulled open his locker again. Nope. He popped his jaw at the 'p'. "The school is still trying to find another person to replace that other guy... The walrus. I forgot his name."

"Your reputation with the staff is hardly improving with these antics," she said darkly. "Many of them are starting to resent you for draining funds out of their respective divisions and pooling them all into finding a new school psychologist."

Jason pulled out his Social Studies book a thick, red volume entitled 'To the Rescue'. "Well, when they realise that Im perfectly stable and not a delinquent, everyone will be happy."

"Your failing grades are hardly testament to that."

He growled at her. His entire body had grown rapidly in side over the last two months and he was bordering the point where he could be mistake for one of the schools football players. Whether that was because of his developing powers or his dads interference, he wasnt entirely sure. "Hey, I'm passing all my classes."

"Not all of them."

She pulled out a small piece of paper from the folds of her books and showed it to him. It was his current report for gym class.

He was failing.

Bad.

"Gym!?" he roared, shaking the hallway. Some people around him froze... then kept walking. Others probably mistook him for another jock flying off the handle. A lot of them were doing that lately. Except Connor, of course.

Connor... Jason mentally sighed.

Robin whistled and clicked her fingers in front of his face. "Focus, Jason! While it may not be apparent, you are required to pass gym class if you are to progress beyond this year." She turned her back to him and headed for her next class which they shared, of course." I suggest you speak with Coach Townes at gym today or after school. Perhaps he can find some way for you to salvage your dismal grades."

Despite being f'riends' with Robin for the past two months and essentially being on the same level as her, she was still such a bitch. Okay, he had to admit that she would've had to go through a lot of trouble to obtain this information but did she have to be so cold about it?

Wouldve been nice if she just said, 'Hey, Jase! Youre failing, gym but I think theres a way you can work it out with Coach Townes...'

Jason shuddered at the thought of the big, burly mountain lion with the slightly paunchy belly. Some said he played professional football at one point but quit due to some scandal regarding his personal life mixing with his professional. A lot of students like Townes because he was somewhat encouraging and pushed the more sporty students to their limits. For the others... he was a real hardass.

Towards Jason, he was the devil incarnate.

As Jason headed towards Social Studies, he recalled that one incident when he was they were playing basketball and he kept passing it to the other team -accidentally, of course. Townes roared at him, calling him a disgrace to all lupines, a disgrace to his father and a waste of muscle. Jason theorised that Townes was just pissed because Jason looked about ready to join the football team and excel in any sport he tried but just sucked.

But... I don't want to disappoint my dad...

I want to get a good career out of this...

Maybe be a superhero just so I can work with my dad...

Thinking of his dad, the previous night and Connor, made his brain a shut off for a moment and his manhood take over all bodily functions. He snapped out of it before things got out of hand and entered his Social Studies class, taking up his seat right next to Connor.

His tiger had lost all the cute baby fat that made him so cuddly and replaced it with lean muscle. The thick, orange, striped fur was still warm and fluffy -Jason still recalled from last night- but there was hard muscle beneath all that fur now. Dan would occasionally give Connor a taste of what i'td be like to be really huge and Jason just at it all up. He particularly loved it when Dan just developed Connor's cock into a monster as big as he was. The two wolves would spend the night coddling that thick, feline rod and the next morning cleaning of the sea of semen Connor shot out.

"Pssst, Jase."

Jason jerked towards Connor, those emerald eyes making his heart skip a beat.

"You're saluting a little too early, bud." The tiger pointed subtly under the table.

Jason felt his own erection and blushed, adjusting himself so that it wasnt so evident. Then a thought crossed his mind.

"Thanks for paying attention," he said, winking at his boyfriend.

Connor grinned back. "Like Coach keeps telling me, can't take my eyes off the balls."

Mr. Laurence was away for the second time this week. Not that Jason was complaining. His Social Studies teacher had it in for him even harder since his grades started picking up. Jason found that it was easier to study now that he was getting along so well with his dad and his boyfriend lived under the same roof. Of course, he'd have the occasional distraction but that was bearable.

However, Laurence was dropping in and out of school lately. It made the constant changing of substitutes, conflicting teaching styles and obligatory ten minutes of students messing with the substitute at the beginning of class 'detrimental to their studies' as Robin put it. Luckily, todays teacher was someone they had before.

Apparently, they were supposed to watch fifteen minutes of the SHTV (Superhero Television) Channel and then spend the rest of the class working in groups analysing the events that transpired. Jason had to fight not to wince loudly. He hated SHTV. Even if he was developing his own powers, that channel was more sob-stories and shallow pieces of news focused more on what would be controversial than actual news.

It pained him to write reports about how SHTV portrayed superheroes in a positive light while keeping their reports informative and factual. SHTV reports didn't care if they slandered supers or the victims of supervillain attacks. Just as long as it made people respond.

The substitute brought in a TV and played the recording the Mr. Laurence had assigned them.

"Another Flame Runner story..." Connor sighed, crossing him arms on the desk and resting his head on the makeshift pillow. He yawned softly. "Wake me up when it's over."

Jason could watch Connor sleep all day but he figured at least one of them should watch the wretched news report. It would be left unsaid that the two of them would work together on this report. A lot of people have been seeing them together and while Jason admitted he amped up the testosterone whenever someone saw him with Connor, he was starting to think they all suspected...

But, as his father told him, if they didn't say anything yet, then they didnt care.

He watched the SHTV report, vaguely recalling the newest supervillain in Newroads, Flame Runner. Well, not necessarily super just yet. Flame Runner was more an annoyance than a real threat. It started off with a few arson attacks downtown and then witnesses finally saw a flaming man running into a building before the structure erupted into flames.

CGID analysts explained that Flame Runners body fed off the friction from running and increased that energy exponentially, expending that energy in the form of flames. As long as he kept moving, he would be on fire, literally. Unfortunately, he was also supernaturally fast and the three superheroes of Newroads Warhorse, Blue Wolf and Red Rush were unable to catch up. The Blue Wolf and Red Rush came close once.

Red Rush was a huge bull that was unstoppable when he started charging. Problem is, he found it hard to stop and his turn-rate was terrible. Normally, he had to work with his other two compatriots as the finisher. Warhorse- the strength specialist -would hold down the foe, Blue Wolf -the support specialist- would disable any powers and then Red Rush would charge in and use his incredible momentum and might to knock the villain out.

Jason recalled watching a live view of the Blue Wolf and Red Rush fighting Flame Runner with his father and Connor one night. The Blue Wolf tripped up Flame Runner before Red Rush came charging in for the finish. However, Flame Runner unleashed all his stored energy and blasted both supers to the ground in a huge fiery conflagration that Jason could see from out the window!

Naturally, the news downplayed the failure and reasoned that it was a slight miscalculation orchestrated by a devious mind.

The SHTV news report ended with warnings that should anyone see Flame Runner, they should run... in the opposite direction. Jason nudged Connor awake and they proceeded to work on the small assignment. Naturally, Jason had to curb his distaste for SHTV Connor helped with that and they finished with what he hoped was a passable piece of fiction.

The rest of the day flew by quickly but as each class started and ended, Jason dreaded more and more the talk he would eventually have with Coach Townes. That... and the locker rooms.

All those big, hot, sweaty guys in the nude... yeah.

Jason normally showered last but he only had a small window before the football team Connor included came rushing back in and got ready for practice.

Unfortunately, during gym, they were playing baseball again.

Jason was picked last.

Everyone still remembered the 'Ricochet Incident.' Jason was batting and when the ball came zooming towards him, he swung. Unfortunately, his hands werent gripping the wooden stick tightly enough and it flew out of his hands as he swung. It hit the ball... only...

The bat swung through the air and hit a teammate before flying back towards Jason. The ball at the same time bounced off three teammates heads before slamming into the side of Jasons head. That impact was shortly followed by a hard whack from the bat that Jason just sent flying.

No one needed to go to the hospital much to everyones surprise but they all vowed Jason would never bat again.

He mostly warmed the bench.

Which gave him the perfect opportunity to speak to Coach Townes.

"H-Hey, Coach..." he began.

"Not now, Wolfe," Townes growled, baring his fangs. "Hey! Royce! Keep your eye on the ball! And not the way Wolfe did!"

Jason winced.

Lately, he had been the butt of a lot of sports-related jokes.

On the plus-side, I kinda set the benchmark...

I'll always be worse than someone... and everyone will always be better than me...

"Um... Coach, this is about my grades..."

"Wolfe, unless you can miraculously learn how to play baseball, I don't wanna hear it." The mountain lion's harsh, yellow eyes made him cringe. "If you wanna talk grades, talk after school."

"But-"

"Arnold! What the hell are you doing!? Janice can pitch better than you!"

The problem with talking to the coach after school was that being the Head Coach Townes oversaw the football team. They had practice after school every day. Usually, Jason either spent his time in the library waiting for Connor before his dad brought them both back home. If he waited until after school, the only chance hed get would be after practice... and they were having a very special guest over tonight.

"Would it be okay if I talked to you tomorrow after school, then?"

Townes glared at him, glowering. "Look, you wanna pass my class, Wolfe? Man up and face your fears! It's after school today or I'll see you next year!"

Jason winced.

Damn...

When gym class ended, his side won no thanks to any help on his part. Jason didnt get changed or take a shower with the other students even after they all left to go home. He remained within the locker room and pulled out a small, black cell phone from the pocket of his shorts.

While the phone looked uninteresting and normal, it was actually a teenagers best wish come true. It was free, there were no charges were call and he could call anyone, anywhere at any time.

It was a No One phone.

The phone was linked to some sort of network that V10 set up. Anyone at all on Enria, he could call and there would be no costs attached. Telephone companies would merely register the call coming from some foreign, small company and dismiss it. It was also his primary form of communication with the No Ones if he wanted to call them instead of relying on them popping up at their whim.

He dialled hi's dads number and placed the phone to his ear.

"Jason? Is something wrong?"

"Nothing's wrong dad," Jason responded with a faint chuckle. "Well... Not really..."

"Oh god... Who'd you injure this time?"

He had passed the point where he was insulted by that assumption.

"No one... Just... I'm failing gym and I need to talk to Coach Townes after school. I don't know how long itl'l take and I know with whats happening tonight, we can't afford to be late... So... I was thinking...

"I'll get one of your aunts or uncles to pick you two up."

"'Kay, thanks dad." The football team was arriving and they regarded him suspiciously. No one else was meant to be in the locker room at this point. Connor gave him a wave and Jason waved back. That stopped all suspicion. "Love you."

"Love you too, son."

He hung up and crossed his arms, eyeing Coach Townes as the big mountain lion berated a lot of players before sending them out onto the field with a clipboard in one hand. Jason made to intercept him but the lion stopped him with a stare.

"After practice, Wolfe," the lion growled, low and hard.

Jason swallowed loudly. "Y-Yes, sir."

When the coach left, Jason let out a heavy sigh and wondered what hed do for the next two hours. Going to the library was always an option but with the looming threat of failing gym hanging over his head, he wasnt feeling much up to burying his nose in a book or two.

"Heeeeey..." Horndog said, slinking up to Jason. It frightened him a little that, not too long ago, Horndog had turned into a min-devil-Connor. His boyfriend was sitting on his shoulder, grinning mischievously from ear to ear with tiny red horns and a pitchfork in one hand.

"Where are the other two?" Jason asked.

"They're on their 'trial period' right now. Last I remember Optimist was shoving his dick up-"

Too much information!

"So....Connors out there practicing, right?" Horndog said, nudging him with an elbow slyly. "You've never seen him in that tight uniform before. And think of it, him, tangled in a mess of sweaty, muscular male bodies..."

Jason was convinced.

He slipped out of the locker rooms and arrived at the schools football field. Absently, he recalled the one other time he had been on this field two months ago when the Malefactor had attacked. The grandstand had been fixed and that was where he positioned himself, watching as Connor- number 9 -moved and weaved through the mess of blue and yellow uniforms. It wasn't hard to spot him in that crowd.

Jason could find his tiger anywhere.

Huh...

It occurred to Jason that Connor was actually the one calling the plays... Was he...

Is he...?

Is Connor the quarterback?

He had thought Connor was a wide receiver...

Must've switched positions lately...

"Wow... You're dating the high schools quarterback..."

Connor threw the ball. It slammed hard into the chest of a teammate far down the field. Jason wasn't sure what the term was, exactly, but he was pretty darn sure that was a good throw.

"Might even be the star quarterback."

"Shut up..."

"I didn't say anything."

Jason jumped and leapt to his feet. Coach Townes was standing next to him.

How'd he sneak up on me like that!?

He and Robin had been training under Dan to help focus their powers and discover Jason's. Robin had gotten so good at altering peoples attention that she could almost cast illusions, deceiving peoples attention instead of shifting it entirely. Believe it or not, that was actually a harder process. Something involving creating and warping visual imagery instead of just diverting focus.

Jason had gotten pretty good as well at resisting her attention-altering powers.

Not perfect, of course.

But Jason was pretty sure he should've been able to sense Coach Townes approach.

Maybe i'ts part of being feline...

He recalled those many times he and Connor had 'surprise-sex'.

"Um... Sorry, Coach," Jason muttered, forcing down his erection. "Just talking to myself."

"I'll bet," Townes growled, regarding Jason intensely. "Look, Wolfe, the only reason I put up with you is because of your dad. He was the star of the football team back when I was a freshman. I looked up to him. Married the mousy librarians assistant. Pity."

Jason was about to defend his mother... when he detected something in Townes words. Was it... regret...? Jealousy?

Connor mentioned something about this before...

... I think he called it 'gaydar'....

Is Coach Townes...?

Nah.

Horndog grinned lewdly. "Wanna find out?"

"Sorry I can't be him," Coach, Jason answered, looking away more to keep his eyes from roving along the Coach's body than anything else.

"Maybe not, Wolfe, but I think you can be your own person, at the very least."

"Huh?" That question came with the obligatory glance back at Townes. Jason froze when his eyes shamelessly drifted up the lions big, meaty hand wrapped around that clipboard veins popping up the thick forearm and that large bicep. There was a bit of fat there but Jason was pretty damn sure if the Coach flexed...

Gah!

He was on the verge of slapping himself to get rid of the thoughts. However, he was on thin ice with the coach already and Robin did tell him most of the faculty hated him for burning through the school therapists. Giving Townes even more reason to think he was a drain on the school wouldn't help his grades.

"Look, Wolfe," Townes said, glaring at him, "you and I both know youre not about to take up football. You got the body but you ain't got the soul."

Of course not. My soul consists partly of my mousy librarian mother and the god that controls all mortal bodies!

"So we need to work out some way for you to make sure you at least pass the minimum requirements for my class."

"How do I do that?"

Townes began ticking off the list with his fingers. "First, you need to be involved in some sort of sporting activity. After, before or during school. Extracurricular stuff. Secondly, you need to do better in my class. You're purposely failing."

"No I'm not!"

"Dude, you so are," uttered Horndog. "You're just stuck in the same loop of 'I suck at sports' that despite all your training, despite all those hours you spend lifting weight and despite all those twisted positions you, Connor and your dad get into, you lower yourself to being substandard."

Jason mentally glowered at his subconscious. You just had to find some way to insert a horny comment in there, didn't you?

"I've got a list of them. But it's true, you know. You're built, you're flexible, agile and strong. You're even pretty damn coordinated. Have you seen your knife skills when you cut up vegetables? Are you telling me that none of that transfers over to sports?"

That's unusually insightful of you...

"Well, me and the other two have been getting together every night and -"

I don't want to know!

"What? I was going to say 'exchange notes'."

Somehow, i doubt it.

Jason sighed loudly and met Coach Townes gaze. "Alright... I guess I am... Im just so used to being bad at sports that... I guess I can't get out of it..."

"Admitting you have a problem is the first step, kid," Townes said, his eyes softening slightly. Then his tone turned harsh again. "And thirdly, for the love of god, stop kicking out all those shrinks! You're killing the rest of us!"

If there was a little light bulb above his head, it would have just flicked on with a soft ding.

"Tell you what," Jason said, smirking and folding his arms across his chest. "You get the school to stop sending me to the psychologists and I'll stop tormenting them."

Townes scowled. "I won't be blackmailed, Wolfe."

"This isn't blackmail. It's just a mutual arrangement. I don't want to go to the school psychologists. My dad even told Vice-Principal Norwood that I should stop but Norwood keeps sending me anyway. Keeps calling me a 'degenerate'. Convince him to stop and your money problems stop."

The lion growled but ended the sound with a sigh. "I suppose youre right there... Norwood is a real ass... I'll see what I can do." His yellow eyes flicked back to Jason. "But you've still got a problem about extracurricular activities. Most of the other sports teams are full by now and those that arent wont touch you with a ten foot pole."

"Hmmm... Ten foot pole..."

Shut up, you.

"I don't suppose the football team...?"

"No," Townes said firmly.

"Didn't think so..." Jason sighed and rubbed the back of his neck. "So... What do you suggest...?"

He felt Townes' eyes appraise him and he got the distinct feeling it was more than just a cursory glance at his build. "You lift weights, right?"

"Yeah... My dad had a personal gym built in the basement last month..."

It was really handy. He didn't have to go to Kevin's gym every weekend to work out anymore. Of course, Connor and Dan joined him and their workout sessions tended to end with all three of them sweaty, covered in semen and on the ground panting.

"Why don't you come to the weights room after practice?"

"Huh?"

"If you can get a good log of workout sessions signed by me or any of the other coaches and submit it to me by the end of the school year, I'll pass you for that criteria."

Jasons heart leapt for joy.

That was a perfect arrangement! He already lifted weights and he enjoyed working out!

Finally, gym class didn't sound so bad...

"That sounds awesome!"

"You still have to do better in gym, though."

"Oh yeah, sure, no prob," Jason replied, giving the coach a slight salute.

"Not today, though," Townes said, checking his watch. "I got other things I gotta do. I'll see you tomorrow?"

"Sure!"

Jason was practically bouncing with every step when football practice ended and it wasnt just from watching Connor tackle a guy twice his size. Dan came to pick them up, reporting that dinner was taken care of. Robin made some snide remark about Jason probably having eaten before then but that didnt curb his good mood.

He reported the talk with Coach Townes to his family -yes, he even considered Robin family. Dan was pleased as was Connor who licked his lips in anticipation of Jasons inevitable and permanent growth. Robin commented that he couldn't afford to lose any more brain cells to muscle.

When they arrived home, there was a lavished dinner waiting for them consisting of lightly seared scallops in butter sauce with black truffles as an entree and veal with seasonal vegetables and with a sweet, soy sauce for a main. For dessert, a mouth-watering guava and grapefruit sugar bomb- which was basically a frozen guava puree encased in thick caramel toffee set on a bed of grapefruit granita.

Jason couldn't wait to sink his teeth into that one.

He bolted upstairs after he tore his gaze away from the meal and stopped drooling. There was only one time when he undressed any faster and that was when he was in bed with Connor. He threw off his school clothes, ran to the shower nude and hastened to make himself presentable. The bouncing was still in his step as he lathered the fur shampoo into his short, black fur and scrubbed himself all over.

The shower door abruptly opened and Connor stepped inside, pressing his nude body against his and with a lewd smile on his face.

"Connor!"

"What?" the tiger replied, pressing Jason up against the shower wall. "You want me to get out." He didn't give Jason a chance to reply as he pressed his lips against Jasons and ran his paw though the soapy, black fur.

Hormone-Charged Jason Wolfe was about to win again- not that he lost often but Jason resisted and pushed Connor lightly away. He bumped noses with his tiger.

"Save if for later," he growled with mock seriousness. "I don't want to be late and stinking of sex when our guest arrives."

Connor pulled away, his cock halfway out of his sheath and disappointment on his face. Even a little bit of jealously. "Is Kevin Riley really that important to you?"

"Of course he is," Jason replied, removing the suds from his body. "He's my best friend and..." He trailed off, avoiding Connors gaze.

"And...?"

No more secrets...

"He's sorta my first crush..."

Connors eyes widened and Jason could just see the possibilities flooding his mind. "Really? Is he...?"

"No. God no. Kevin is so straight he'd put rulers to shame."

The tiger pouted, giving Jason that Heart-Melting stare again. "Aw... I was kinda hoping you, me, Kevin and your dad could..."

"No," Jason said, poking his lovers nose.

Connor sighed and took the sponge off Jason's hand, running it all over his striped body. Jason was found himself mesmerised by the circular motion as it ran over Connors tight chest and abs.

Wait! That's what he wants!

Jason shook himself free of the grasp. He was about to growl at Connor when he noticed the tiger wasnt paying attention to him but instead was looking worriedly at his feet.

"Something wrong?" he asked.

"Oh..." Connor whispered with a slight start. "I was just... I was just wondering... If he's your first crush... Does that mean you still have feelings for him?"

Oh... I see...

"Of course I do. But it's because hes my best friend."

"And I'm not?"

To answer that...

Jason leaned forward, cupped Connors cheek in one hand and slipped his tongue down the tigers throat. He felt Connor's legs wobble and he held pressed his boyfriend against his body to keep the smaller tiger from toppling over in the shower. Slowly, he pulled away, smiling lovingly at his one and only.

"You're my boyfriend. There's a difference." He slipped out of Connors grasp and out of the shower. "No come on. I wanna show you off to Kevin."

"Does he know?"

Jason froze.

No... No he doesn't.

"Erm... No. I meant I just wanted to tell Kevin how awesome it is that my... ahem..."

Connor just grinned. "You are so cute when you're flustered."

"Yeah... I'll bet," he muttered gruffly.

Jason returned to his room and dressed himself in dark blue suit with pinstripes, a clean, white shirt and a tie that matched his jacket. Grinning, he checked for any debris in his fangs and combed his hair so there werent any golden strands from his forelock loosely flying about. Kevin was used to dining with royalty, dignitaries, other multimillionaires and with the elite of the world superheroes included. Jason didn't want to look like a total loser in front of his friend.

Once he was satisfied, the doorbell rang.

Jason bolted down the stairs, past a stunned Connor who had emerged in a handsome black suit that matched his fur and practically bowled over his father in his rush to the door. He flung the door open.

"Kev!"

"Jase!" Kevin Riley exclaimed, spreading his arms wide and grinning broadly. The thick, muscular human was a head shorter than Jason but far more built that Jason for the moment. The two of them embraced as two friends should.

Kevin was the first to pull away, regarding Jason at arms length. "Hey! You bulked up!"

"Yeah, my dad built a gym in the basement."

"That figures, "Kevin laughed, his bright, green eyes sparkling. Those eyes reminded him of Connor... Hell, Kevin reminded Jason of Connor... only human. They even had the same dark brown hair.

Maybe that's why I fell for Connor...

"Ahem."

Jason turned and remembered Connor and his dad were standing just behind him. "Oh! Right. Kevin, this is my dad, Dan, and this is Connor my- " He froze.

"Friend from high school," Connor finished, reaching a hand out towards Kevin.

"You're living with Jason?" Kevin asked, taking the offered paw and shaking it firmly.

"My parents sorta kicked me out and Jason was kind enough to take me in."

Kevin regarded Jason, impressed. "Wow. Jason Wolfe, you're growing up to be quite the philanthropist."

A what...?

"On the note of introductions, however," Kevin said, releasing Connors paw. "I hope you don't mind but I invited someone else to our little get together. He was most interested in meeting you, Jason."

Huh...?

"Who?" the three living in the Wolfe household asked in unison.

Kevin turned towards the limo waiting just on the curb and signalled. The chauffeur stiffly opened the car door...

...

... and out stepped the Blue Wolf.

Jason's jaw dropped.

His three separate subconscious parts and gawked. Pessimist was now himself dressed in an all black attire completely with black trench coat and looking much like a goth while Optimist was Dan with a golden halo and dazzling, white wings.

"B-Blue Wolf!?" he stammered.

The world renowned superhero walked up the driveway, hunching his shoulders to preserve heat. The temperature was rapidly dropping and the already cold environments of Newroads, it wouldn't be long before snow started setting in.

The Blue Wolf came up to stand beside Kevin, smiling and shivering a little. Wearing leather armour in such weather wasn't a very good idea.

"It's a pleasure to meet you again, Jason Wolfe," the Blue Wolf said, hugging himself slightly. "May we come in and get out of this cold?"

Jason's brain fizzled out. Not even his three subconscious selves could help. They were just as dumbstruck.

"Of course," Dan said, gently pulling Jason aside to leave room for the two to enter. "It's an honour to have you in our household, Mr. Blue Wolf."

The Blue Wolf laughed, a deep, baritone so similar to Dans but holding a more... heroic tinge to it. "Please, just call me Blue. Everyone in the Justice Guard does."

"Sure thing, Blue."

Jason just kept gawking as the Blue Wolf and Kevin slipped by. He vaguely noted that Kevin had this smirk on his face like Jason's expression was nothing short of what he was expecting. Connor was shamelessly checking out the Blue Wolf who blissfully ignored the roving eyes.

"Close the door, Jason," Dan said, a smile tugging at the corners of his lips. "You'll make the Blue Wolf freeze."

"Oh! Right!"

Jason slammed the door a little too hard, making a deafening sound echo throughout the house. He hoped he hadnt broken the door. They quickly convened to the dining room where they were one plate short. Jason didn't trust himself to set the plate in front of the Blue Wolf and Connor took the job instead.

"Here you go, Blue," Connor said, giving the Blue Wolf his best, Heart-Melting stare.

"Thank you um... Connor, was it? the Blue Wolf replied."

"That's it."

They were arrayed around the dining table in such a way that there was a clear division between the two groups. Jason sat at the head of the table with Dan and Connor on either side of him. At the opposite end, Kevin and the Blue Wolf sat opposite to one another.

Jason lost his appetite and only nibbled on the entree as he stared at the Blue Wolf. He was about to perform another system reboot when Dan held his hand tightly down.

"So... I noticed you never replied to that letter I sent you," Kevin said halfway through the seared scallops.

"Huh?"

"That invitation to be part of Project Descent."

The HOP (Horndog, Optimist and Pessimist) instantly jumped to work, shuffling through the files in Jasons brain to look for the memories of that letter. They remembered him memorising it and if they could just

"Found it!" Optimist cried.

"Oh! Right!" Jason exclaimed. "Project Descent is the name of that procedure youre hoping will reduce the mortality rate of artificial superpower acquisition, right?" Then he became painfully aware there was a natural superhero on the same table and he wasnt sure what the Blue Wolfs view on the subject was.

"Don't be an idiot!" Pessimist snapped, kicking his head. "Kevin announced to the world that hell be undertaking this project! If the Blue Wolf doesn't know, hes been living under a rock!"

"That's the one," Kevin answered with a smile. Dan took their entrees and brought in the mains a second later. "So, I take it you don't want to be part of it."

Jason noted that the Blue Wolf's ears were perked in his direction. The superhero was trying to look very nonchalant about it.

"He probably thinks the reason you would reject such an offer is because youre already a super..." Optimist mused. "He's just waiting for verbal confirmation. Perhaps hell whisk you away to Reprieve..."

"Idiot!" Pessimist cried, crash-tackling Optimist. "He doesn't want to go to Reprieve!"

"Heh... I love it when you're angry..."

Jason dropped a mental curtain over the two and focused on the conversation. He couldn't believe that the two opposite ends of his personality were now going at it in the recesses of his brain... leaving him with...

Horndog waved, an evil grin on his face. "Hiya."

Oh no...

"I'm happy with my life as it is," Jason responded, keeping his eyes firmly on Kevin in an attempt not to think about what the Blue Wolf looked beneath that leather armour. Then he remembered Kevin was his first crush and reminded him of Connor.

Connor...

_Damnit! Focus!

"Why!?"_ Horndog cried. "Just jump his bones already! You know you want to! Hey! Theres five guys here! Think we could have a-"

He dropped a mental, soundproof curtain on the horny little tiger.

"I'm having trouble juggling school and my social life as it is!" Jason laughed, rubbing the back of his neck. "I don't know what things will be like if I have a superhero alter-ego!"

"That's the purpose of Project Descent," Kevin said, smiling sagely. "We at Road to Dawn feel that the supers are being isolated in Reprieve and we want to invite them back to their rightful home, Enria. We want Reprieve to descend back to Enria and we, the civilians, to welcome them with open arms as equals. We feel that the only way to do that is if they feel we can understand their plight, to put themselves on even grounds with us, so to speak."

"So you intend to give everyone superpowers?" Dan asked sceptically. "If you don't mind me saying, Mr. Riley, tha'ts an awfully daring and expensive venture..."

"That's where we at Reprieve come in," Blue Wolf said, setting down his fork lightly and regarding Jason through that horned mask. "We also find that enmity between our two... let's call them factions has grown quite a lot. Those on Reprieve feel that the time for separation has ended. We need to come back down to our home, on Enria, while making sure people dont interpret it as some sort of attack or hostile takeover." The Blue Wolf scowled lightly. "Conspiracy theorists have gone wild lately about us trying to purge Enria of the non-gifted."

"Yeah, heard about that," Jason murmured. "So you guys really support this venture?"

"Completely."

Wow... I guess it says something about the Justice Guard if they're willing to leave their one haven to be with everyone else...

... and to give up what makes them special to bring equality to the world.

"It will be just as my father envisioned," Kevin replied a little bitterly. "'A better, brighter, safer world where mortals are not judged by how they differ from the masses.'"

Jason had never heard Kevin talk about his father since the funeral. As far as he was concerned, Kevin was still very resentful of Vale Riley.

But is he really doing all this for his father...?

"Whoopsie..." Connor said. Jason glanced over at him briefly. The trigger had dropped his fork and went under the table to get it.

Who says 'whoopsie' anymore?

Jason dismissed it and focused on Kevin and the Blue Wolf. "Sorry, guys... But, to be honest, I'm not interested in getting superpowers."

A gentle hand fell on his shoulder and he flinched, briefly glancing to his left.

L4 the Liaison of Life stood beside him, a small smile touching her rosy lips. Jason was sure Dan could see her as well but he kept silent about it. The No One who governed Life was dressed in sleek, shiny leather that appeared like bikers suit. It hugger her figure very well and the multitude of red stripes that ran over her body simply screamed speed. She wore a pair of headphones with a black visor concealing her eyes. It was impossible to see around the visor or through it. Long, ebony hair as long as she was tall was tied up into three separate ponytails that hung down her back.

"Say this," she said softly, in a gentle, uplifting voice.

Jason turned back to Kevin and the Blue Wolf, repeating every word that L4 uttered.

"If we're going to accept one another as equals, we have to do so without being forced to change each other to reach that compromise. This isn't just two people were talking about, it's billions of individuals. It'll be impossible to satisfy them all. We just have to learn that there are going to be supers and there are going to be people who are not supers. But, in the end, were all mortal, we all live on Enria and its either we get used to that fact or we destroy each other."

...

God that did not sound like me...

L4 chuckled but remained otherwise silent.

"That's really deep for you, Jase," Kevin said, his eyebrows raised. "I mean, no offence or anything but still... Wow."

"Incredibly insightful for one so young," the Blue Wolf said, leaning forward curiously. "I wonder what could've brought on such wisdom."

Jason grinned sheepishly and felt like a giggling schoolgirl meeting her latest pop-sensation fling. "I-"

Zzzzzip!

He froze.

And glanced down in horror.

Connor was grinning back up at him from under the table, peeling away layers of clothing.

Oh no...

Oh no, no, no, no, no, no!

"I think I should leave," L4 chuckled. "Oh, Jason..."

He snapped his gaze back up to the Blue Wolf, biting his lower lip to keep himself from moaning as Connor massaged his balls.

"... Keep an eye on your friend, Kevin. One who dabbles in so much power will either wield it incorrectly... or end up getting burned."

Her form became consumed in blinding, blue-white light that quickly dissipated into a shower of glowing, blue flowers, fluttering butterflies and bird or two.

Connor ran his tongue up the underside of Jason's sheath, coaxing its prize slowly out. Jason grabbed his fork and held onto it tightly.

"I heard that you and your father were recently reunited, yes?" the Blue Wolf asked.

"Y-Y-Y-Yeah..." He was shivering as Connor's warm breath washed over the tip of his manhood.

Every part of him wanted to buck, to shove his dick up that warm, slick mouth and dive beneath the table. Forget Kevin, forget the Blue Wolf Dan could join if he wanted. But what little of his self-control was left held on... just barely.

"If you don't mind me asking, did that give you some new perspective on life?"

Why would he ask something like that!?

I had a new perspective from life the instant I could talk to the gods!

"I I definitely discovered a lot about myself," Jason replied, managing a shaky grin. Connor was massaging his cock which was now fully erect. "I don't think the discoveries are going to STOP anytime soon. It's just I think things are a little hectic right NOW to go injecting superpowers into the equation. Then he thought of a way to placate Connor. Maybe LATER!"

If anyone else on the table noticed his hints, they didn't show it.

Connor certainly didn't.

Oh god... Oh god...

He knows I can't hold it when someone is watching!

Crap! And it's the Blue Wolf too!

"By and by," the Blue Wolf said, "I never got to thank you for saving me that day two months ago."

"M-Me?" Jason said. His tail was wagging hard and his right leg was bouncing in an attempt to keep himself under control. "I-I really d didn't do ah-nything..."

Connor did that thing with his tongue that simply drove Jason wild. He wrapped that raspy organ all the way around Jasons cock and drew it slowly upwards. Feeling the rough edges stroking every inch of his penis just made Jason want to scream, the sensation being that euphoric.

"Nonsense. I believe we already had you flagged down as a potential super a while ago. Of course, we only increased our observation when we noticed that you ran with that gang. We feared you might turn bad. Then you save the school and then me..." The Blue Wolf smiled at him. "You might have what it takes. You're just not opening those doors."

"There are s-s-some doors that are best k-k-kept shut."

"Huh... A pity. You do know your father was part of the Justice Guard once before, correct?"

Jason finally had the strength to push Connor away and stared at the Blue Wolf in shock.

"Yeah, he told me that." His eyes slowly drifted to Dan who sighed and got up.

"I'll get dessert," the big wolf said. "Connor, you okay down there?"

Connor emerged, no signs of his assault on Jason evident on his face. He seemed just as bright and cheery as before. "Yeah." He waved his fork. "Found it."

Dan left with their plates.

"I hope it wasn't too much of a disappointment knowing you have to powers while you father was part of the Justice Guard," the Blue Wolf said.

"He really doesn't speak that much about that time," Jason answered. "Which superhero was he?"

"Not a superhero, actually. Something much worse and more powerful."

What could be more powerful than a superhero?

A No One?

"What?"

"A lawyer. We called him 'Black Hole'."

Why would they call him that?

"You wanna know what I think?" Horndog asked, poking his head under the curtain.

No!

Jason shoved his subconscious back into the bottom of his mind.

"There are a lot of legal issues when it comes to being a superhero," the Blue Wolf said. "A lot of collateral damage and sometimes, there are some pretty messy divources. Superheroes are still mortals, after all. Your dad was one of the best."

"Why wasnt he well-known?"

Jason just knew his father was in the kitchen, just waiting for the conversation to end.

A look of sympathy crossed the Blue Wolf's face. It was impossible to truly tell beneath that mask of his but by his tone and the way his lips curled down slightly, Jason just got that feeling. "He was obsessed with looking for your mother. He used the resources of the Justice Guard to try and find her but to little success. Eventually, two years ago, he gave up and went to rebuild his life. And there went our best lawyer, the Black Hole..."

Oh for the love of -

"Who else is going for the project?" Jason asked.

Suddenly, he felt something warm and rather dexterous against his cock.

Not again...

He dared a glance down...

Connors bare foot was slowly sliding up his dick, the two biggest toes massaging the organ with surprising flexibility.

Jason glanced at Connor.

Really bad move.

The tiger was looking away blissfully and that just turned Jason on more.

Aw crap...!

DAD!

Wait...

Would getting his dad into the equation be such a good idea!?

"Here's dessert!" Dan announced, sweeping into the room.

NOOOOOO!

Jason was about to faint from all the pressure. He was gripping his fork so hard that it bent under his grasp. As his dad set down the small, sugar covered ball sitting on a bed of flavoured shaved ice, his last thought was...

Why me...?

"AAAAAAH!"

Jason jerked back as his semen surged forward from his dick.

Time seemed to slow as three large splotches flew through the air. All eyes traced their trajectory as they reached the zenith of their flight just at the middle of the table. Jaws dropped open with ever inch they travelled. The first barrage feel down with a wet splosh right...

...

... on top of the Blue Wolf's dessert.

Jason's entire body was shaking as his cock was caught in several spasms, leaving a trail of semen running from the landing site to the launcher.

Kevin just blinked in surprise... before peeking under the table. He straightened with his eyes wide but the rest of his face frozen in shock.

Jason couldn't even muster the strength to say, 'Sorry'. He just kept staring at the Blue Wolf, expecting the superhero to either storm out of the house and tell the world that Jason Wolfe was gay or beat him to a pulp there and then.

He was hoping for the latter. Then, maybe he wouldn't have to die of embarrassment.

The Blue Wolf stared at the thick, drops of creamy, white goo all over his dessert and shrugged. He cracked the opaque, crystal ball with a spoon, scooped up a large portion of the sugar ball and granita semen included and tipped it into his mouth.

"Hmmm... A perfect balance of flavours. Sweet, salty and sour."

Brain overload... again.

Dan sighed very heavily. "Just like old times, eh, Blue?"

"You had better aim, though."

Double brain overload.

"So you two...?" Connor began slowly, his jaw dropping open. A smile was slowly curling onto his face.

"We were lovers," Dan admitted, staring at the ceiling absently. "I was his lawyer, best friend and... more. Hell, Jase, he mightve been your other dad if I didn't decide to move back here."

My...?

"If I recall, I was the one that gave you the nickname 'Black Hole', correct?" the Blue Wolf asked, eating more of the dessert. Jason just couldn't believe he was watching his semen disappear down the Blue Wolfs throat!

"Can't believe that stuck..."

"Well, you weren't exactly monogamous..."

Dan smirked, folding his arms and sitting back down. "As I recall, you didn't mind. I believe your motto 'was the more the merrier.'"

Wham!

Everyone jumped in shock.

Jason wasn;t sure what happened. One second he was watching his dad converse about the good ol days with the Blue Wolf - particularly their homosexual escapades - and the next, he was staring at a particularly fascinating stain on the table...

"Jason!" Connor cried.

"Dont worry," Dan sighed. "He's just trying to give himself amnesia." Jason felt his dads hands on his chest as he was forced to sit back up. "Come on, son. It's not that traumatic, is it?"

"B-But... you... you slept with... with..."

"Yes, Jason," the Blue Wolf said a smirk on his face as he finished his dessert. "I slept with your dad. Incidentally, are you going to eat that?"

Jason pushed his dessert towards the superhero only realising at the last second that the largest collection of his cum was on that plate.

No!

Too late.

The Blue Wolf began devouring it... all of it.

"Stop that, Chris. You're giving my son a heart attack."

"But it's soooo good."

Jason saw the irony.

The Blue Wolf was like the Connor of Dans life...

Oh boy...

He stole a glance at Kevin who was blissfully his non-cum stained dessert, a grin on his face.

Oh no... He's going to tell Jen and Warren!

Crap!

"K-Kevin, I-"

"Oh don't worry about it, Jase," Kevin said, waving at him absently. "I'm surprised you'd come out so spectacularly but we already knew. Pun definitively intended."

"You knew!?"

Kevin rolled his eyes. "Jason, you're hardly subtle. Whenever we workout, your biceps aren't the only muscles you curl. Oh, and whenever Warren walks into the room, you spend a good ten seconds drooling. Plus that one time you and Jen's brother had to sleep in the same bed because Jen was having friends over, he told us you were dry humping him."

"I was what!?"

"Dry humping. It's when you-"

Jason tore himself from the dinner table and sped up to his room. He shut the door lightly it had been repaired a while ago and buried himself into his bed, shoving his head under his pillow to hide from the world.

With any luck, I can suffocate myself...

He just couldn't believe that all his friends knew he was gay... Worse... They knew he was gay before he did!

That made him wonder of all those times he went out to an innocent movie with them or played soccer.

Were they all purposefully trying to avoid him?

Did they think he was some horny, overly hormonal dog that would jump them the instant they let down the guard...?

"The funny thing is, you probably wouldve had you known," Optimist said.

"Shut up."

"I didn't say anything."

"WHA!"

H2 the Harbinger of Havoc stood a few metres away, his one eye filled with endless mirth. Even beneath those many layers of belts, Jason could see the guy smiling.

"What? Come to laugh at me now?" he muttered, returning to his sulking.

"Sort of." H2 sat at the foot of his bed. "Not on your emotional plight. That's terrible. What's funny however, is just how much chaos and havoc youre causing yourself without even knowing it."

"What?"

"Jason, you're blowing this whole situation completely out of proportion. Kevin obviously doesn't care and neither do Jennifer of Warren. If they did, do you think Jen wouldve let you stay at her house and actually sleep in the same room with her brother? Do you think Warren would spend the few weeks he has of his leave from the reserve to come over here and spend it with you guys?

"If they were in anyway repulsed by you, they would've left you on the curb to die. All this agony and fretting is caused by you."

Jason rolled onto his back and scowled. "Okay, then what about the fact that my dad and the Blue Wolf were lovers?"

"Are you complaining?"

"Yes!"

"Why? What your dad did or does is his own concern, not yours. I thought you said you'd be proud of him regardless of his decisions."

He did say that...

"But... This is something else! He slept around! He slept with other superheroes! Does that mean the entire Justice Guard is gay!?"

H2 rolled his eyes. "Jason, there are over six billion people on Enria. Statistically speaking, how many people do you think of those people are gay?"

"Erm... A lot?"

"Pretty much. You increase that number if you include those who are bi. Jason, this a new age where people dont care what your sexual orientation is. Hell, most people will try anything once and they might just discover they like it. Everyone has an open mind. Well... most people do. Those that do are just afraid of change.

"Ironically, its that minority of people who are afraid of evolving that are in power but thats neither here nor there." H2 stood up. "Look, Jason, I'm all up for you causing absolute bedlam around you. Break wall, shatter a window and hell, set fire to the entire state. That'd be awesome. But I can't sit by and watch you suffer."

Jason gave H2 a confused look. "Why not? You're the Harbinger of Havoc. You command Chaos. I thought you'd like people to suffer."

"There's a difference between pain and chaos, Jason. Chaos is the confusion before the onset of change. Chaos is what happens as people are trying to reorder themselves. Pain... Pain is just pain." H2 rested a hand on Jasons shoulder." You are in chaos right now, Jason, but only you are inflicting pain upon yourself."

A knock came to his door.

"Jason? Jason, it's Connor. Theyre leaving... You can come out now."

"I believe that is my cue to leave," H2 said. "Keep my advice in mind, Jason. Chaos rules. Pain sucks."

Big, red-black belts shot out of the ground and encased H2 in their embrace, forming a dark cocoon. When the belts peeled apart and vanished back into Jasons tan carpet, the No One was gone.

"Jason? You okay there, buddy?" Connor asked.

He's right... I'm being such a cry baby...

Jason took a deep breath, straightened himself and headed for the door. He yanked it open and Connor started up at him in surprise, caught halfway to another knock.

"Are they gone yet?"

"No. But-"

"Great."

"Jason-"

He bolted down the stairs just as Kevin and the Blue Wolf were about to turn away and leave.

"Wait!"

Dan, who saw them at the door blanched as Jason bowled past him and stood before his friend and the one superhero he actually respect.

"I'm sorry I've been such an ass tonight," he said, rubbing the back of his neck. "I... I guess I'm still coming to terms with the fact that not everyone is out to get me and lynch me for being gay... So... Let me start again." Jason took a deep breath and stuck out his paw, grinning broadly. "My name is Jason Phoenix Wolfe. I'm gay and that's my gay dad and my gay boyfriend. Pleased to meet you."

Dan sighed heavily and slapped his forehead, shaking his head muttering something about saying 'gay' too much.

The Blue Wolf and Kevin exchanged glances before the Blue Wolf shrugged and took Jason's...

... penis.

Jason yelped as the Blue Wolf grabbed his cock... which was still hanging out from when he ejaculated from the dinner. His eyes bulged as the Blue Wolf gave the organ a firm shake.

"Pleased to meet you, Jason Phoenix Wolfe. I hope to get to know you better in future visits. See you around."

The Blue Wolf gave him one last squeeze before turning around and headed towards the limo, leaving Jason completely dumbstruck. Kevin leaned forward dramatically and grinned.

"Yeah, I think just about everyone was about to tell you that you were hanging out a little there, bud. Oh, even if you're not going to get superpowers, you wanna come to the grand opening of our first Descent Facility here in Newroads? Your family, boyfriend included, are invited, of course. It should be in about a year or so. Still working out the kinks in the system."

Jason was still in a haze.

Dan rested his hands on his sons shoulders while Connor reached over Jason's waist, stuffed the wolf's penis back into his pants and zipped him up.

"We'll be happy to attend, Kevin," Dan said.

"Great! I'll send you formal invitations when the date draws closer!" Kevin waved and ran down the driveway. "See ya later, Jase!"

Dan and Connor bid the two farewell on Jasons behalf.

When the door was shut, Jason was still rigid from the experience.

"What do you think is going through his mind?" Connor asked.

"I'm willing to wager, 'Oh shit, the Blue Wolf held my cock'," Dan answered smugly.

"How do you think hell snap out of it?"

"Hmmm... I put ten on shaking his head rapidly."

"You're on."

They shook on it.

Jason fainted.
