#31 of Syngeneia Kathairein

You like dark fantasy, dragons, adventure and a bit of romance?

You want to see the work of a professional video game writer?

You find AI's interesting?

This story of mine has all of that! Syngeneia Kathairein puts you in the shoes of Entropion, a purple dragon tasked to ''make the world right again''. (although he is a jackass in this prequel intro!) The view is set in first person view from Entropion's POV. This story is inspired by warcraft, forgotten realms, spyro the dragon and dragon age, among other things. AIdungeon's makeup is a bit messy, but > arrows denote saying or doing something. Part of the story is AI generated, please keep that in mind.

NEW PHONE, NEW CHAPTER AHOY! HYPE!

When asleep and inside dreamscape, it is the usual floating morphing islands in purple nebulae. Nalomuzo explains "manual travel is highly inefficient. Active targeting is far faster. Where to first, Entropion?" You think for a bit, but visiting Koriza seems a good call. You miss your consort too, so it's a nice excuse. So it is done, after a purple flash you find yourself in Korisana's garden, where both sisters are surprised but happy to see you. Koriza rushes to you. "Enty! I missed you!" She says as she hugs you. After a moment it stinks in... "Enty? Dis? Is that a vio-" Nalomuzo cuts her off. "Affirmative. Queen of Korizan, we are in need of your expertise." Disarria takes her turn. "Yeah Kor long story. Let me fill you in...." Disarria gets Koriza up to speed of what happened. "Eclipse twins... huh? Seems simple enough. They are identical twins, when I was on a mission in Bastarkia I've dealt with this before. Magical twins are nearly invincible when together but they still are physical entities. Misdirect, separate and neutralize." Koriza explains to you, her experience as commando really helps here! Koriza brushes up to you "Can you stay a bit longer, my king?" Korisana smirks "adorable. Sure you got a bit of time for your stepsister and queen, Enty dear?" Nalomuzo shakes his head. "Negative." As he teleports you, Disarria and himself out of there. Once in the purple Void Disarria pouts "you really are the fun of the party Nalo" she says. Nalomuzo doesn't respond. He's busy concentrating. Nalomuzo focuses, and after a moment he manages to take you to an Ietrosian temple on the cloud. Xenia's dream! You ask Nalomuzo how he knows about her. "Fat yellow dragon told me." Disarria snickers. "Lord Blobulon works better" As the 3 of you advance inward the sky temple, you hear soft moaning? Then it becomes clear. Xenia is having a certain type of dream involving you. Disarria seems to be enjoying the show, licking her chops as she stares. Nalomuzo covers your face with his wing. Xenia notices you as a projection of you does... things.... to her. "Eep!" she goes as she notices you. "It's not what it looks like!" she says. Disarria snickers as Nalomuzo just shakes his head and makes the projection of you disappear.

"I called us here to discuss the mission. We don't have much time so I'll get started." After explaining the story to Xenia, Disarria is still amused about the former situation. "Xenia, you still got something.... yeah, on your chin..." Xenia blushes and wipes. "Kirpichnikov gives me far more dangerous signals than these twins. I'm not too sure why but it's a good idea to bring Nalomuzo with you. Kirpichnikov has know how about violet dragons and you remember what Deimodo did with a violet dragon cannon." Disarria nods. "Thanks, Xenia. Your spying seems to have it's merit. Even if you harbor some gross fantasies" Nalomuzo nods. Adamant and determined. "Fantasies of subject Xenia shall not be mentioned again. Natural but nauseating. Celibacy intact regardless." Once again Nalomuzo teleports you away. Nalomuzo checks with you and Disarria, for now there is nobody else you need to talk with. Time to head to Catharsion's realm! You warp to the temple within Catharsion's realm. The ancient, first purple dragon is busy having his manicure pedicure done by a group of female red dragon servants. He nonchalantly turns his head to you. "Found the violet dragons? Way too soon. Kirpichnikov is quite annoying" "Understatement. Thief and deceiver. I want to open a portal to the Xenic Dusk" Catharsion gives a dry "nope. Disarria and Entropion are too much ahead of their paths already. Take them to the four Xenic magic chambers. A bit of Warchief pep could help squat that gnat known as Kirpichnikov." Nalomuzo nods. You are puzzled how Nalomuzo is so compliant with Catharsion. "all purple and violet dragons got created from my original life force. I got loyalty from the violets." Catharsion explains as Nalomuzo opens a magenta colored portal. > You say "Well, you know the drill Dis! Let's go!" You and Disarria rush the portal. It takes you to the first of the four "rooms" this tiny dimension is dedicated to the magic school of Mutatio. Wild, chaotic magic that warps life into grotesque beings. The room is empty, save for a few tomes. You are about to head out when you hear a loud rumble. "Oh I missed breakfast again?! Thanks mother!" A large abomination, part flesh, part crab, part human lumbers out of a hidden room in the wall. "Wild magic! That is how aberrations are made?!" "This must be outer realms magic!" > You say "Disarria? Dimensions have their own rules right? " "In the outer realm, rules are made to be broken. Here is where the impossible is made possible. Well, possible in the loosest sense of the word." "Time for some out-realm magic!" You walk over to a large tome. It seems to be written in Common Tongue, but the words are not anything you've ever seen before. "That one is mine!" The abomination says. "Back off!" "Forgive me Disarria, but intuition demands it!" You turn to Disarria and focus magic on her. A ray of Mutatio hits her and turns Disarria in a horrifying mutant. She has a large crab claw, a human body, a human head with a fish mouth and fish eyes on top of her human head. The monstrosity eats the other monstrosity. Meanwhile you approach the tome and a tentacle sprouts from it, it wraps all around you. Somehow this feels very comfortable and the bizarre words somehow... just makes sense. Mutatio. This is the unstable and extremely dangerous magic that was the shadow schism! You can control Mutatio infused beings a bit, but the future holds so much more. You are a bit disappointed that the tentacle doesn't take the backdoor entrance of your form, but this isn't that kind of story. > You say "Yeah uh.... Disarria? Read this tome. Next room these mutations on you should be gone. " "Yes, yes. I'll be sure to do that." Disarria says as she picks up the tome. You pick up the tome and proceed to the next room. You walk in and find a large group of people fighting a large group of.... goblins? Well these aren't traditional goblins, they seem much more intelligent than normal goblins! "Ah! A wizard! I knew we'd get one eventually!" A goblin shouts as an obese goblin walks forward. This is the room of blood magic, Nalomuzo points to a puddle of blood as it pulses, slow and first, but faster and faster... "What does blood magic do?"

You ask impatiently. Nalomuzo points at the pulsating blood puddle as it explodes, splatters on the wounds of the fighting parties. It soon buds in. Disarria tilts her head. "Life force is bound to blood. Direct manipulation was thought to be hardly possible as it needs the 4 classical elements and even then it hardly works!' Part of the blood splattering on the humans instantly closes their wounds, while the goblins convulse and drop down dead. Nalomuzo points out "blood clots, they are good or bad. It is all about timing and location" The obese goblin clutches how s heart and falls to the floor, dead. Nalomuzo seems confused "that one wasn't even hit?..." Disarria snickers "nothing magical about poor life choices" she jokes. You walk around the celebrating human footmen and open a door to another location. You step through the magenta Void. You enter a new room, Nalomuzo and Disarria in tow. This room appears to be the inside of a giant mausoleum. This is the room of soul magic, anima! You have to admit, even you are impressed by the magic on display here. Nalomuzo points at a giant hourglass that is flipping over at an alarming rate. You notice the sand that is pouring through... is actually people. You watch as the souls pour through, some of them are so old and feeble that they disappear into nothingness. Nalomuzo explains "binding life is the privilege of elder gods. Haemo and Anime let you control the flow... The next best thing." Disarria flies over and she looks at the hourglass with curiosity. "and this is different from regular animation and summoning because it manipulates the souls instead the vessels?" Nalomuzo nods. It's demonstration time as a few souls are shot from the towards a group of statues with death masks. The statues animate and move towards one another. They start small talk as it seems the souls know each other. It's clear this is different. The souls were put in a vessel by force, and the construct has an actual identity. A soul gets absorbed by Disarria, who seems puzzled at first. "What? I.. I feel.. better? I can access new powers!" Nalomuzo nods. "Absorbing a soul allows you to use all it's knowledge and abilities. That is why Apocalion is such a threat" > You say "Is my dark siphon a soul based power then?" Nalomuzo says "I would assume so. I know so little about it. You'd need to ask someone who has more experience with the dark arts." "Well there is Apocalion, but I don't think he'd be willing to help teach me, let alone talk to me" You reply. Nalomuzo nods, but then he looks up and a strange smile appears on his face. "dark siphon, to my educated guess, is an anti-magic anima ability. Yes... The final room, anti-magic" The hourglass spins so fast and turns into a pitch black orb. The portal to the last room. The soul leaves Disarria. She seems let down and seems she wanted to stay a tad longer and experiment. Anti-magic.. The cosmic energy flowing in the void. It is why the void outside worlds is empty. A force destroying weaker forms of magic not protected by a celestial sphere around a solar system. The door opens and you are in the last room. The hourglass is a void of darkness. You step forward to look into it, but it seems like you are looking into another dimension or world. A black hole of the void. You can see creatures moving about slowly. It's like they are moving through honey... No, time itself has become thick here. > You say "That orb... It is the blackest thing I have ever seen. As if it's a hole in reality itself." "Indeed, it is a ball of anti-magical energy. I believe the ancients called it a black hole. It sucks up magical energy and life force. A powerful tool for killing wizards and gods..." The orb floats in the middle of the room, and your friends stand around it. The room is completely dark, aside from the light given off by the orb. You can see Disarria flying around freely. There is no gravity as long you don't get too close to the anti-magical orb. This is what gods fear. Deep space itself can and will corrupt them. That happened to Apocalion, but what came from anti-magical life energy is not only immune, but also to the most powerful magic such as mind control or mutation!

Normally the metaphysical spheres around solar systems stops the void in it's tracks. Nalomuzo explains, you, he and Disarria were made by dark anima, souls of void instead light. The eclipse twins mutation powers can't harm you at all, and you can learn anti-magical powers, as can Disarria! You have the power to defy divines! Don't get cocky as a slip can still end you. "I'm going check out the orb, this is just dreamscape anyway" Disarria heads for the black hole. You follow her lead, you feel no different. The orb isn't actually sucking anything out but rather it warps reality around it. "I wonder if it would be possible to create a sphere of this size and power a airship with it." You think to yourself... "Oh, I don't think so. This thing would destroy a city within an hour." Disarria replies. "Indeed" You cross the event horizon, here sense is nonsense, nonsense sense.... All paths lead towards the singularity and energy and matter are one and the same! You see the future of the multiverse. You see the past of it. You see the present of it. You see an infinity of parallel existences, some with you in them, most without. You see the multiverse as a whole and how it's all one entity made up of energy and matter, life and death, creation and destruction, good and evil, love and hatred. The void is indeed a powerful force to be reckoned with... "We should go back" > You say "Yeah, about that? Black holes are one way. " You feel really weird.... Time gets rewound to before Disarria enters the black hole. The black hole changes shape into a dragon silhouette. You wonder. "Apocalion?" Nalomuzo bows "that is the Warchief, my master. Void titan to wage wars on the god's behalf." The dragon stares you and Disarria down. It's eyes glow a dim magenta as it telepathically speaks to you. "The vista of a stellar eclipse will fleet, like the star itself darkness will exist after it's demise. Strike!" You and Disarria get empowered with void! You and Disarria get a massive power-up! You see the past, present and future, but you don't understand what you see. You see people you know die. You see yourself die. You see things you don't understand. Your mind can't comprehend it. However, you now have a powerful force behind you, the end is near... "I'm ready to strike." You say. "Then let you begin their end" your tether gets cut, and the 3 of you wake up. Back in this plane of reality, you find yourself on the submarine. > You say "That... That was a trip. Dreamscape is.. weird. " Disarria nods "let's kick the asses of the eclipse twins then, shall we?" You and Nalomuzo agree, but first, speaking to Zalisi and tolerating Redsamuru. Owh, and a overindulgent brunch! You, Disarria and Nalomuzo explain excitedly what you learned in dreamscape. Zalisi goes wide eyed and gasps. "4 magical schools, based on dark anima?!" Disarria nods "yes, and we got a gift to one of them. Anti-magical void." You continue ".... And that is how we are going to murder the twins" Zalisi goes silent, she obviously feels murder is a bit overboard. "Um... Do you really think that's necessary?" "Yes. It is necessary. They are going to destroy the entire city if we don't stop them." Zalisi sighs "I don't know why I bother..." Redsamuru has been silent the whole time, he clearly disapproves of murder as well, but unlike Zalisi, he doesn't seem to care too much about it. "Of course the Chad has to use his knuckle headed violence" you ignore him. > You say "So, Nalomuzo? Zalisi? Disarria? Is it decided then? I and Disarria will murder the twins?" Zalisi and Nalomuzo look at each other, Zalisi is still silent. "I'm in" Nalomuzo says, the first words he has spoken in a while. Disarria looks at you, "It's decided then, I'll go with you." Zalisi sighs. "Fine, I guess I'll let you as well" She is clearly unhappy, but you place duty above her feelings as that is what you need to do. You nod and smile. "Great! Let's get to it!" > You hold Disarria's hand and focus way-point teleport to Klyanev. You hold Disarria's hand, and you both teleport to Klyanev. You and Disarria end up teleporting into the middle of the street. You are immediately accosted by several people asking you questions about your magical abilities. You try to fend them off, but they insist! They are mostly mutant humanoids, but some blue dragons join in as well. Soon an angry mob leads you to the eclipse twins. They stand back, waiting for you and Disarria to disable them first. The Eclipse Twins notice you.

They don't seem impressed at all and charge up their violet dragon mutation artifact "Now you done it you nincompoop. We gonne give you tongues where tongues don't grow naturally" > You smirk and step forward, the void souls you and Disarria have make you impervious to Mutatio magic. The twins are in for a rude awakening. It flows off of you as it does with Disarria. A blast of magenta colored anti-magical energy from the both of you destroys any magical capacity the twins would have left. Disarria struts over with a smug grin and takes the catalyst. "It's mine, you cannot have it" the female twin says. You nod and smile. "Nobody can have it but us" you reply. Klyanev is yours. You've taken the city with a minimal amount of fuss and bother. The people are grateful to you, but not the Eclipse twins! You walk off as the mob shreds them apart. It is nothing pretty as you and Disarria fly the scenic way back to the sub. > You say "These Eclipse Twins went down way too easy. I got a bad feeling about this..." Disarria shrugs, "You don't think they were holding out on us? Like, maybe they had some kind of secret weapon?" "Could be..." The two of you step into the sub and you find your bed. Disarria has to update your friends. You just want to get shut-eye. In your dream you see the image of Eleos flash by a few times. It is all very vague... The throne of mercy wants to tell you something. The next day you, Nalomuzo, Zalisi and Disarria have a day off, you flown to a field and play in the snow. The winter is near and at that point Volecia will be baptized in darkness for the entire season. Polar winter and summer work in strange ways. A month passes and the darkness has swept over the nation. The eclipse twins were easy to find, the boisterous pair seeded chaos and demanded praise too! One day the submarine, with all of you inside jerks violently. Redsamuru yells out whining. "WE GOT HIT BY SOMETHING" > You say "Looks like a tentacle... No, a root! Baab Yaag's handiwork maybe?!" > You say "The sub jerks more, everything goes black... Later you wake up in a familiar place with the sub near you. Everyone is present but Redsamuru crawls back in the stranded sub. He is not in the mood to help you out. As per usual." "Awww, he can't be helped. He's a selfish prick." "You're not wrong there." Disarria says. "So what now?" you say. "See what Yaag Baab needs." Nalomuzo suggests. > You head deeper in the Palacipede, looking for Yaag Baab. You continue to walk through the halls of the Palacipede The walls are lined with machines that hum and glow faintly. Each one is shaped like an egg, with a single button on the bottom. You reach out to push it, but Zalisi stops you before you can break the pristine wall. "Don't touch that!" she hisses. "You don't know what it does." "We're just looking for Yaag Baab." You find her in her throne room, like the last time. The colossal blue dragon doesn't seem happy to see you at all. A scowl digs into you as you wonder what you did this time. She speaks "Entropion and Disarria... You got some nerve for how you interpret your destinies...' As your group looks confused, Yaag Baab continues. "Olga and Sebastian! The twins! You two let a mob brutalize them, they were rotten youth but what you facilitated was disgusting! Guess, why do you think the twins look so much like Zalisi?!" "I.. I am your daughter. Aren't I?" Zalisi asks. Yaag nods, this means you are looking at the queen of the blue dragons! Yaag Baab! "I do not wish for you to become as vile as your father. Kirpichnikov!" Nalomuzo shakes his head "unexpected data." Disarria snickers "another messy breakup, hilarious!" "You lack vision. You will never be a true leader if you cannot see what is wrong in your group. What can you do to save yourselves?" You are given two options, and the choice is yours. Yaag Baab sighs. "I want my daughter back after you caused my other 2 children to get... Murdered." Zalisi has her head buried in her hands. Crying softly that the family reunion has to be this way. Yaag Baab knows she will lose a direct fight with you, but that killing Zalisi's biological mother will not be appreciated by Zal either > You say "Hey, Zalisi? What do you want and choose?" Zalisi breaks down into tears. "I want to be with you, Yaag I'm sorry for everything, but I just want to be with you." Yaag nods, and Zalisi opens her arms.

She wraps them around the massive dragon, and they embrace. "Now you listen to me, Yaag. You think that I'm a monster, but I've never seen a more manipulative creature than you." Nalomuzo whispers something in your ear. It seems like a genius plan. Disarria smirks at your expression. You pretend to play along and say "okay, she made her choice. We will be leaving Zalisi here, with you, Yaag." "Very well, if you must exercise bloodlust, destroy Kirpichnikov!" Zalisi looks up at you, tears in her eyes. "I want to get to know my mother, but I want to be with the main character of our story." Disarria rolls her eyes. "We have bigger things to worry about than a silly girl who doesn't know how to pick a side" you nod. > You use relay teleport to teleport you, Disarria and Nalomuzo inside the heart with the nature gem keeping it alive. You nod. You turn to the rest of the group. "We're going to get the gem now, you stay here and keep an eye on things here" You relay teleport in front of a massive, beating green heart. Nalomuzo and Disarria appear next to you. "So this is it?" Disarria asks. "This is the heart that has been causing so much trouble?" "Yes, time for wanton destruction." > You use dark siphon on the heart. You fire a stream of dark energy at the heart, which begins to suck it in. You grin as the heart begins to shrivel and die. The green nature emerald lies bare! > You say "Okay, so, there is still residual life force in the Palacipede before it fails. Uh uh! Houster attack! Keep the off of me while I lens dark energy through the emerald." "What? You want me to just stand here while you use all the power?" "Exactly, you are the distraction. While they are biting your head off, I can focus on channeling all the energy from the gem. Be a dear and do this for me, okay?" Disarria sighs, but nods in agreement. "Okay, but make it quick!" You nod, and begin focusing your energy into the gem. The dark and nature energy merge together, and a cloud of spores shoots out the gem, infesting and eating anything wooden on it's path, that means the housters and Palacipede The moment a hole is corroded, you flee with the nature gem on your back. You fly up in the sky and Yaag Baab flies free too. Facing you with fury in her eyes "millennia of life gone! Here I will make my stand you purple monsters!" Yaag Baab breathes a shower of the ice shards. You avoid the elder blue dragoness! It is a BOSS FIGHT.
