Chapter 57 - Paradise in your arms

Killer slept heavily for many hours. It was an exhausted, dreamless sleeping which allowed him to rebuild his energies rather quickly. But as time passed, his rest became more agitated, as horrible images of the battle flashed into his mind, giving him horrendous visions. The image which returned most often was the face of Vicky, with her eyes squished into a bloody, ugly paste, tears of blood streaking down her cheeks. In Killer's dream, the voice of Vicky, coming to him as if through an immense distance, desperately asked him why he hadn't protected her. Why she had had to lose her eyes, why she had become blind for him, while she had believed with all her strength that he would have kept her safe from any and every danger.

Even the image of Vicky's drawings being cruelly torn apart and ruined popped up every now and then into his mind. It was, of course, a violence not even remotely comparable to the vicious way in which Sikanjal had stolen Vicky's eyesight away, but nonetheless it sent jolts of pain cursing through his soul.

And of course, he started having nightmares of Gaia, possessed by Shi and abandoned in the battlefield, in the middle of the apocalyptic wreckage, in the stench of death and destruction. And of Diana, with her chest and abdomen torn viciously apart, the black-furred female staring up at him with cold, dead eyes from the middle of a large puddle of gore and blood.

Even as the nightmares assaulted him, though, Killer did not wake up. He was spent, and his body was trying to make sure he would take the time needed to rebuild up his energies.

The huge male only awakened when he felt strong, enormous arms wrapping around his own, dragging him forcefully forwards. He awakened immediately at that feeling, his senses alert and his body ready to charge into action, even as he blinked tiredly and wondered if it was a dream, or reality.

He was standing, but his feet were dragging on the floor, as two massive shapes, one on each side of him, dragged him along forcefully... but he closed his eyes with a groan as an intense white light coming from a large, open door ahead filled his vision.

He reopened them immediately, just in time to look up the open panels of the double door: they were massive, at least a couple of feet thick and perhaps eighty feet tall, and they were made of maroon stone which expert hands had carved and chiseled, top to bottom, with thousands of scenes and statues and decorations.

His toes dragged over large slabs of stone of the same color, which paved an immense rectangular room with two orders of massive columns breaking the hall down into huge naves. The middle one was a vast open space, and that's where Killer was being dragged, while the spaces to the side were taken up with benches and chairs for a huge audience. But most of the benches were broken and ruined by the years, and a thick layer of sand and dust told Killer that the last time a full public had been using that room was in a time long gone.

Killer planted his feet on the ground, walking a couple of steps to verify his balance and evaluate his current energies and shape, and then he went to a full stop, pulling his arms back with a mighty flex of his powerful musculature as he said calmly: "Whoever and whatever you are, let me go right fucking now."

He looked at the two weird, massive creatures which had been dragging him forwards across the immense building, and he made a grimace as he realized that they were some sort of Construct, basically a living statue puppetted by someone. These, in particular, were massive, bulky jackals thick with muscle and wearing full, body-hugging armor. They looked at him coldly, the eyes glowing white and devoid of any real emotion or thought as they looked him over... then redoubled their efforts to bring him along against his will.

"Not bloody likely." Killer muttered, dragging both of the massive statues backwards, his enormous biceps bulging with power as he resisted to their efforts, standing in the middle of the room no matter how hard the two 25-foot Constructs tried to move him. They turned back, snarling at him as they drew huge curved swords from sheaths carried on their backs, and the huge male snorted, ripping free of their grip with one might pull of his arms.

Killer backstepped quickly as the first giant lunged forwards with a slash of his sword, the liger evading the assault and then twisting sideways as the other jackal stabbed his blade forth, Killer slipping between the two blades and lashing out a vicious punch in the head of the first construct. He grinned as he made full contact with the target and the head of the statue exploded... but his grin died down as he realized that the statues were actually made of incandescent desert's sand, which dispersed in a cloud when his fist hit, only to gather back together and reform the jackal's head like it had never been damaged at all.

"Oh, what the hell..." Killer muttered, making a grimace as he ducked another slash, squatting down between the two creatures and swinging out one leg in a turning kick which swept the legs off from under the warriors. Even these, though, quickly reformed as a might, hot wind pushed the sand back into the shape of legs, and the two statues merely stumbled before stabbing their swords down against Killer.

The huge male grinned and threw himself forwards, the two swords missing him and clanging loudly against the stone floor while he spread his huge, strong arms and rammed into the chests of the two beasts, expecting to shoot through them. He grunted as he felt himself shoving against solid stone, instead, but his features twisted in a grin as he turned his move into a full assault, tackling the two monstrosities into the ground.

The two statues lost their consistence a moment before the impact, turning into clouds of dust on impact and leaving Killer's hands and feet buried in a dune of incandescent, abrasive sand which burned and tore into his flesh. It felt like salt on a wound, and Killer winced in pain as he tried to stand up and move away... but the dune once more shifted and the sand moved in flows to reform the two warrior jackals, one of which seized the liger's wrists, trying to keep him down, while the other reformed directly on Killer's muscular back, holding the blade of his sword against the liger's throat.

Killer was undeterred, however, grinning coldly as he closed his eyes and let his wings burst into being, as supernatural fire erupted from his shoulders and solidified in the shape of massive, powerful wings which burst through the sand soldier, blowing him away like dust as Killer opened his fangs and sent a freezing, vicious wind of ice washing over the statue holding on to his wrists, trapping the sand in a thick encasement of diamond-hard ice, before the liger leapt to his feet, ripping his arms free and gripping as the frozen hands of the statue snapped off, remaining wrapped around his wrist for a moment, before the brittle fingers snapped and it all fell to the ground in pieces.

It was a short lived victory, however, as Killer looked quickly around himself and realized just how much sand covered the floor, the benches, and everything else. The far corners of the room were buried into real dunes of sand, which rained down in hourglass-like flows from creaks in the roof, and cascaded inside from large openings in the walls. Sand floated even in the air, shining in countless little bright dots whenever caught by a ray of light... and as Killer looked at this, he realized that he was breathing, and thus inhaling dangerous amounts of the fine sand. There was no telling what could have happened, so he immediately focused on stopping his breathing: as a God, he didn't really need to breathe anyway. The reason why he did it all the time was habit. His organism was very much used to breathing regularly, and as Black Killer often reprimanded, Killer was a divinity still acting very much like a mortal.

Killer sprinted away from the two enemies he had just taken down, and it was a wise choice because immediately after, a scorching hot wind gushed through the room and melted down the ice, and the two soldiers reformed from the loose sand they had become... before Killer winced as a large panel in the wall above the door slid open, and an immense quantity of sand came cascading into the room, flooding it quickly.

"Where the hell did I end up...?" Killer muttered, making a grimace as he flapped his mighty wings and launched upwards into the air, trying to avoid the tidal wave of incandescent sand, as the level rapidly augmented.

The huge male looked down with sharp attention, focusing on each and every ripple in the sand, as swords and arms and clawed hands shot up from below, lunging towards him as more and more Sand Warriors formed and stood up from the shapeless sea. He snarled and focus his energies to smash a telekinetic punch down into the sand below as a bulky, massive soldier leapt up towards him, and the statue was cracked apart and blown back over its comrades, crushing four more back down... but it was only a temporary gain, as the sand shifted and the warriors quickly reformed, while another jackal, yielding a massive bardiche, surfed on top of a wave of dust, slashing the heavy weapon against Killer's back.

Killer's senses shouted at him in a warning, and he swung his wings out, slashing them in a cutting movement, the feathers tearing through the statue like incandescent swords would through butter, before supernatural fire burst out of the wings and washed over a dozen more warriors, making them writhe in agony before they flopped down into the mass of sand with silent screams, their mouths opened wide but not letting out any sound.

Another jackal leapt up from the desert beneath, swinging a massive warhammer against Killer, but the liger effortlessly seized into the weapon and stopped the blow, shattering the heavy stone with a light pressure of his hand, before he slashed his foot out in a turning kick. The warrior of sand immediately lost consistence, however, turning to dust as the liger's foot tore through what had been a chest only moments before... and then, the sand warrior reformed, grinning up at the liger as it grew back in place around Killer's ankle, trapping his foot into its body and gripping into his legs with its hands.

The god immediately stomped his other foot down on the jackal's face, crushing its head into fragments, but as they fell away, they broke back down into sand once more, and even as his foot came free, Killer was assaulted from every direction. It was like punching the air and hoping to knock it out.

Killer leapt over the vicious slash of an axe, which vanished in a puff of dust as soon as it missed, before he smashed a turning kick into the face of another bulky, muscular jackal warrior which charged at him surfing over a wave of sand, sending the soldier crashing on a sword stabbed upwards by another arm pushing out of a dune below. The sword had been swung up to strike the liger's foot, but it ended up impaling a jackal statue instead, the creature letting out a soundless scream of agony before it fell away in a silent fall of sand. Yet more and more kept coming, and even as Killer beat them all back, they reformed immediately afterwards, making him snarl in frustration as he seized the arm of one warrior which lunged at him with a spear: the liger dragged on the limb, throwing the jackal hard to the side and sending it crashing into its comrades, knocking three of them flying backwards and stabbing through another. In the meawhile, Killer had already rammed his fist through the chest of another monster, cracking it into pieces, before another leapt against him and he seized it by the shoulders, ripping it in half down the middle like it was made of paper.

A burst of incandescent wind rushed through the huge room and pushed into the sand, lifting it into a vortex and throwing it against Killer, who snarled and closed his eyes on instinct, before arching his back as his senses screamed at him, feeling the rush of air and the hiss of a spear stabbing past, dangerously close. He threw himself backwards immediately, his muscular back breaking the long pole of the spear into pieces as he rammed a elbow backwards, grinning viciously as the deadly spikes jutting from his joint tore their way through an enemy, piercing a chest from side to side... before he backflipped in midair as two more jackals leapt up against him, donkey-kicking into their faces and breaking them apart like they were made of brittle glass, as his elbow-spikes ripped free of the enemy's body, tearing their way from the chest, through the head and out of the top of the skull.

As the sand washed around him in a hurricane, though, he felt like a massive grater was brutally rubbing over his body, trying to peel his skin away from the muscle and flesh, before he snarled in rage as swords, axes and other weapons formed all around him, the sand solidifying into blades all around him, slashing once against his body before breaking back into dust. He slapped back most of the attacks, but as the wind intensified, a sword cut a diagonal slash over his massive, powerful abdominals, sending blood splattering out of the wound even as the weapon cracked apart in the impact... before Killer snatched a spear out of the air as it formed to stab him into the eye, his other hand slapping into pieces a massive warhammer of stone which formed above him, swinging down towards his head. He kicked a halberd into fragments, but a dagger found its way behind his leg, stabbing him in the back of one knee, making him arch his back with a roar of pain and rage... and as he did, his eyes glowed with power, energy crackling in bolts around him as his fearsome power exploded outwards with a spherical blast which destroyed everything around him, blowing a hole in the sea of sand, smashing the floor down below into a deep crater and cracking the roof, sending it arching upwards to form a dome, massive cracks spreading all over the room's walls as the nearest stone columns were simply vaporized by the immense force, while the benches exploded into slivers and burned into ashes, as energy crackled in massive bolts through the room, cracking the remaining columns like they were egg shells.

The power radiating off Killer was so immense that Reality trembled hard around him, as the force blasting out from his body shattered everything and bent the whole temple out of shape, as the sand was blown away, the desert rippling like an ocean during a tempest as the waves circled around Killer but failed to get any closer than a good hundred feet away from him.

Killer looked slowly around himself, grinning viciously as new sand warriors took shape from the desert all around, leaping angrily towards him only to burst apart as they got too close to his incandescent, mighty aura.

Killer laughed at that, holding up a hand and pointing his open palm at a massive stone column in the distance, which trembled hard, cracking at the two extremities before breaking free of its base and from the roof, the massive 80-foot tower of stone floating smoothly to the huge male's hand. His fingers gripped into the rock, breaking deep into it as he swung the makeshift weapon like it was nothing more than a normal baton... before flapping his mighty wings, shooting forwards and ramming the immense piece of stone down over the crowd of sand warriors, smashing more than a dozen into puffs of dust, before he swung the massive column out at waist height, tearing in half several more of the statue-soldiers and breaking through two of the other columns, sending them collapsing down into piles of rubble.

Killer grinned viciously as he slashed the massive column out to the right, and them to the left, cutting down the jackals in swathes, like they were crops and he was harvesting with a scythe, before he lifted the massive piece of stone easily high above his head, and hurled it like a javelin, sending it smashing into the large port in the wall from which sand continued to cascade into the flooded room. The massive piece of stone sunk deep through the hole, smashing through whatever was beyond the wall, and it clogged up most of the opening, slowing down the flow of sand, while Killer seized another jackal warrior by the head and rammed him savagely into another column, which cracked loudly even as the creature shifted back into simple sand immediately after the impact.

"Stop him, stop him! He will destroy the whole courthouse!" A strident voice barked, and Killer turned around to look down along the central nave, easily spotting the glowing figure of a tall black-furred jackal, wearing an ancient crown and a golden necklace with a heavy Horus cross. His body was toned, not bulky like Killer's mighty form, but nonetheless muscular and athletic. He only wore a silvery chest plate with annexed pauldrons of simple design, with golden edges, and a white loincloth with golden tassel at the waist. In his right hand, he clutched a long, thick pole made of gold which, on top, was completed by a metallic circle containing a shiny, swirling sphere of white light. The circle then converged to form a long, thin sword-like spear tip, which made the magic-imbued weapon good both for slashing and for stabbing.

There was no mistaking the identity of the Jackal, much as Killer stared in surprise: Anubis glared at him from the top of a ridiculously high and imposing judge stand overlooking the massive room. The canine god glowed with an intense white light, which allowed Killer to look past him to see a huge, ancient scale of justice, which had, on one of its plates, a large white feather.

"Oh, fantastic. The looney." Killer muttered, making a grimace. He had been warned about Anubis: the ancient minor god had long fallen in disgrace. Once the most powerful and respected of the Judges of Death, the jackal had grown arrogant and self-absorbed, enamored of his power of deciding of the fate of the mortal souls. His attempts to expand his power and influence had not gone unnoticed, and when the war between Heaven and Hell had grown very hot, Heaven had decided that Anubis could no longer be left in the job. Controlling the flow of Souls, directing people to either Heaven or Hell, was a critically important role, especially during the war, as each soul was precious, since it could become either an angel or a demon, reinforcing one army or the other. With Heaven already in difficulty in trying to get a sufficient number of Souls, a corrupt Judge like Anubis could no longer be tolerated. He had been stripped of his charge, but he had refused to surrender or even just accept his fall: from a long time, Anubis was in hiding in his own pocket dimension or in other safe places, from which he continued to try and control the flow of Souls whenever he could. He wasn't controlled by Hell, either... by now, the jackal only wanted to feel important and powerful, and essentially used his powers to judge the Souls not into Heaven, nor into Hell, but into servitude to him. When he had fallen in disgrace, after all, the once mighty and vast following of disciples and followers that he had enjoyed had fallen apart and dissolved: Anubis now was a god without disciples, a ruler of a pocket dimension, a personal world which was mostly deserted and in ruins.

Anubis wasn't seen as too much of a threat, overall, by any of the two Planes at war, which had far greater problems at hand, but the jackal was more than powerful enough to hide from both Heaven and Hell, and "kidnap" several souls, whenever he saw a chance to do so. Ira and Vesta had warned Killer more than once about the very real risk that Anubis would soon or later try to get him: for the disgraced god, controlling the mighty Amon Ra would have been an absolute game changer. Killer had listened to the warning, but for well over a thousand years, nothing at all had happened, and anyway, at the end of the day, he had no idea of how Anubis would have approached him and, consequently, he had no idea of exactly how he could defend himself.

I was sleeping at Eaglenest. I was inside a fortress, with everyone around me... how did he get me here? What the Hell has happened...? Killer bitterly wondered, worried that something catastrophic might have happened while he was unconscious and low on energy.

"Looney...? You insolent monster, this will only add to the long list of your sins!" Anubis shouted indignantly, making a grimace as he slammed a golden hammer on the desk, before adding: "Now surrender, sit down orderly and wait for the sentence."

"Yeah, you bet." Killer ironically replied, grinning as he twisted on the spot and smashed a foot out in a kick against a massive, heavy column, sending a massive chunk of marble exploding outwards with a rain of fragments, the huge block of stone shooting against the jackal.

Anubis was startled and half jumped backwards, even as the column crashed against a translucent barrier of white energy, the impact breaking the solid marble down into pebbles. The fallen judge of death snarled in rage as he charged back to the desk, gripping into the solid stone with his free hand and leaning forwards as he furiously shouted: "Stop the prisoner, bind him, do something!"

The sand warriors surged forwards in thick ranks, charging at the huge male, but Killer only laughed, easily battering them backwards with the mere force of his immense aura, sheer, terrifying power radiating off him in incandescent waves.

The huge liger held up a hand and shoved his palm outwards, causing the sea of sand to ripple and then shoving it away, forcing the sand to form a massive tsunami wave which rushed against the judge's desk, making Anubis jump backwards in shock, before the jackal snarled and spun his spear in front of himself, the energy in the golden circle glowing brightly.

Spiritual chains of white, soul-draining energy burst forth from the judge's deck, each enormous chain ending in a vicious hook boiling with eternal flames, and they shot through the incoming wall of sand, rushing against Killer. The liger snorted as the hooks passed right through his arms raised in defence, the white energy burning through his flesh as it sunk literally into his very soul, while the heavy links of blazing light wrapped eagerly around his powerful body, squeezing down on his powerful form as spire after spire tightened in nooses all over him.

"You'll need to do much better than this, judge!" Killer exclaimed, grinning as he leisurely flexed his immense musculature, and the hooks were blasted back out of his body as the massive links of the chain all snapped pathetically apart, the huge liger shrugging the restraints off like they were nothing more than a spider's web.

Anubis recoiled violently as the chains snapped, his eyes going wide with shock as he stared at the incoming wave of sand, before the jackal grunted as he was rammed backwards by the force of a telekinetic blast coming from Killer. It smashed the judge's barrier into fragments, shattering it like it was common glass, sending it raining down in a deluge of shiny dust and crystal-like slivers. Just as the barrier exploded, the massive tsunami of sand rushed forth, flooding through the breach in the wall of energy.

Anubis stabbed his spear forwards, muttering a spell under his breath before he barked: "No one can revolt against the Judge!" The jackal sent a potent, scorching desert wing rushing into the wave, slowing it down and making it whirl around in a hurricane, the black-furred god grinning widely as he pushed the mass of sand backwards... before Killer shoved forwards with a hand, and a crushing, devastating force slammed forth, knocking Anubis flying and flipping thrice through the air before he crashed back-first into the wall at the end of the room, while the judge's desk exploded into pieces and collapsed into a pile of broken rocks.

"Stop me from doing it, dog!" Killer teased, grinning viciously as his eyes glowed with power. He felt spectacularly strong, and he loved the feeling. He was only using a tiny fraction of his astonishing force, but already it looked like Anubis was entirely outclassed.

The tsunami of sand, however, failed to wash over the jackal god, as a new, cold and growling voice announced calmly: "I will stop you, Lord Killer."

The huge male snorted in a mix of surprise and curiosity, his mind trying to guess who could be the owner of that voice, before his eyes found a tall, muscular crocodile wearing a black loincloth with red tassels. Killer immediately knew that he was staring at Sobek, another god fallen in disgrace in the books of Heaven's rulers. The crocodile, which had been a judge himself and had been the most expert and infallible of evaluators of souls, now was in hiding along with Anubis. His powers were great and dangerous, and Killer had an immediate demonstration, as the reptile swung a heavy, spiked scepter-mace into the air, drawing a simple but powerful horizontal cut: an enormous shockwave of pure force broke the wave of sand down into puffs of dust, before wind rushed forwards in a cruel, violent gale, catching up the colossal amounts of sand and blowing it in circles and clouds all around Killer.

The liger snarled and held up his hands to try and form a barrier, or even just to shield his eyes and face from the assault, but this time it was useless, as the terribly cruel wind rushing out of Sobek's mace seemed to multiply, coming from every direction, gushing up even from the floor, down from the roof, and out of the walls on all sides, the air feeling as solid and as sharp as razor blades, while the sand scratched his skin away and made him arch his back with a groan of agony as he felt his body quickly drained of all its liquids, his fingers beginning to get scrawny as the cruel wind of the desert mummified him.

It filled his senses, his vision, and it turned his whole world in a blur of maroon sand which formed into axes, swords and spears with every second that passed, the weapons acting of their own accord and stabbing into his muscular body from all directions. Before he could react, Killer found himself carried away in the vortex of sand, until his chest slammed into an octagonal pillar of stone, making him wince in pain, the air violently knocked out of his lungs as his face was rammed down against the solid rock, making him growl in pain even as sand continued to crush him down, as enormous flows of the malefic stuff washed over him.

A moment later, it was over, as the sand solidified into massive jackal soldiers which surrounded Killer all around. The huge male liger found himself kneeling against the stub of octagonal pillar, his face leaning on the stone, while long swords pressed down over him to keep him pinned and motionless: Killer counted nine swords crossed over his neck and pushing against his throat, keeping him blocked, bound to the pillar, while more sand warriors crossed their weapons over other important parts of his body, especially around the waist. His legs were pinned in similar way... and before he could think about how to break free, a vicious sand warrior charged forwards and smashed his heavy axe down right in the middle of Killer's back, making the liger arch his body with a roar of agony and fury, the huge male turning slightly backwards to blast his executioner into dust with a gaze loaded with terrible psychic power. Six more sand soldiers, which had stood near the main victim, were also mercilessly burned down into ashes.

"Resisting is futile, Lord Killer." The crocodile god teased, grinning with delight at the sight of the prisoner finally forced down over the torture pillar. "I think it is fair to say that you are now within my pocket dimension. You are on my planet, and as I'm sure you have been told..." The reptile paused, before Killer looked to the right and then to the left with a snarl of rage and disbelief, as two more Sobek gods appeared around him, one per side. "... when a god plays on home turf, he has all the advantages. I'm supreme, here. In this world, Reality quakes at my thought alone. I can be everywhere, I can do anything. Here, I'm afraid you have no chances to ever be able to challenge me."

The crocodile laughed, flexing his own bulky musculature as his other two selves leaned down towards Killer's ears, and teasingly chanted: "I'm invincible, I'm invincible. You are trapped in my own world, where I'm the one making the Rule!"

Anubis, standing near the crocodile, looked down at Killer with relief at seeing him bound down and secured to a torture pillar... as he gazed over the imprisoned liger, the jackal felt the victory within range and consequently burst into laughter himself, playfully stabbing the liger in the sides with his spears.

"You can't do anything to avoid being judged. You can nothing against the Judges!" The jackal happily barked, before he swung open a massive book with a thick leather cover, slamming it down on a piece of the shattered judge's desk, beginning to read in a clear, loud voice as Sobek walked to his side with a smug grin.

"Killer Huxley, you have one of the longest lists of Sins I have ever witnessed in all the Eons. You are accused, in no particular order, of slaughter, torture, rape, mass-destruction, uncountable sins of Lust, blasphemy, sins of Wrath..." Anubis went on and on, listing the many atrocities that Killer had committed in his life, but the liger did not listen, instead looking up at Sobek, studying the reptilian god with attention: it was undoubtedly true that this was his Sanctuary, as the crocodile brightly glowed with power, and his every breath made the whole area ripple slightly with energy. The aura of the god was everywhere at once, permeating every single particle of dust, and as Killer tried to close his eyes and focus, he snorted in frustration, immediately realizing that his senses were not going to help. He could feel Sobek's presence in every direction.

The crocodile god was muscular and strong, his body rippling with power and clad in a single, long loincloth. The tail of the reptile was much longer than normal, segmented and powerful and ending in a mace-like bulge jutting with a couple of deadly black blades. His jaws were lined with massive fangs, a row of which jutted down from the outside of the upper maw, the sharp teeth almost biting into the lower jaw as they bent inwards, and the divinity wore a crown-helmet of shiny gold, while long strands of black hair fell down from under it, flowing down his back all the way down to the waist.

"It is not necessary to read the whole list, Anubis." Sobek said after a short while, beating the bottom of the pole of his mace-scepter on the ground. "He is most clearly destined to Eternity in punishment. The extent of his Sins is too great to be quantified in thousands of years, or even in millions of years. He will have to pay for all Eternity, that's my proposal."

Anubis paused, then closed the huge book with a grin of delight as he easily replied: "I agree on your proposal. The arrogance and the lust for power and dominance that have burned this soul for a whole life, will be properly punished by an Eternity of humble slavery. His Sins will receive adequate payback with regular sessions of the worst tortures Hell has to offer."

"That sounds appropriate." Sobek agreed, grinning widely as he looked down at Killer with merciless amusement, adding with badly-hidden glee: "Special, additional punishment will have to be added for daring to resist the Judgment, and for almost destroying the Courthouse. But since the majority of his Sins are related to Lust and Pride, I suggest the main focus of the tortures should be his genitals, of which he is so proud. Cutting his vaunted cock into pieces will teach him a lesson. Doing it again and again, will punish his violence."

"And what happens if I stick my cock up your ass and rape you into tiny pieces instead, lizard?" Killer asked, grinning viciously up at the two judges, even as the jackal warriors holding him down tightened their grips on him, and pressed their weapons down, letting him feel the cold, murderous sharpness of the blades, which drew blood from his throat.

The two judges looked down at him coldly, then traded a gaze between them and laughed loudly, Sobek saying amusedly: "You continue not to understand. I rule supreme in this Dimension. You have no chances to do anything."

Anubis cackled at that, looking down at Killer with dark glee... before his laughter died in his throat as Killer grinned viciously and shoved back up to his feet, his form burning with tremendous power as he seized the torture pillar in his hands and crushed it into dust with a mere flex of his enormous biceps. Dozens of jackal warriors piled up over Killer to try and pin him down, but the huge male wasn't even slowed down, the liger laughing darkly as he stomped his bare feet on the ground, cracking the stone floor like it was made of egg shells, magma burning through the fissures as he straightened, shrugging off the soldiers wrestling him.

The immense force radiating off the god crumbled the weapons pushing down against him, breaking all of them into pieces, before the sand warriors themselves dissolved with pathetic, soundless screams. Killer leapt back up to his feet and swung out one powerful arm, ramming his elbow spikes into the abdomen of the Sobek to his right, while he seized the head of the crocodile to his left in his other hand.

"Being everywhere at once only means giving me more targets to destroy..." Killer teased, grinning mercilessly as he tore upwards with his spikes, dragging the crocodile god up off the ground and tearing him down into tatters, sending the creature falling backwards through the air, broken and leaking dark blood and gore, the guts spilling out of the tremendous wounds. Killer's left hand clamped down hard on the other Sobek's head, the liger lifting the crocodile high into the air and then crushing his head into a splatter of red pulp with a mere flex of his huge bicep, while Killer looked the original Sobek in the eyes.

"This might be your home turf, overgrown lizard, but even so, you are not strong enough to play with me." Killer said, walking forwards slowly and majestically, each step rattling the whole building, each foot sinking through the stone like it would through butter, magma surging up the cracks that broke open in and around his footprints, as he climbed the steps to the judge's desk, crushing the stairs into rubble.

Anubis swung his scepter-spear out towards him, stabbing through the air and sending a beam of white energy rushing against Killer, but the huge liger simply walked through it, flexing his powerful musculature and rolling his shoulders idly as the energy washed past him, the beam of force breaking down into weak motes of light that quickly vanished.

The jackal backstepped in shock, staring with eyes that opened wide in a mix of terror and disbelief, before the judge made a raising gesture and thick, enormous chains burst into being from the ground, ending in spiked manacles that clamped closed on Killer's wrists, ankles and waist. The spikes lining the inside of each manacle alternated between sharp metallic alloy and burning, soul-sucking energy, and Anubis laughed viciously as the manacles snapped closed, glowing brightly with energy.

"You can't really think Judges are going to be impressed by your strength! We judge even the most dangerous of souls, even the most terrible destroyers. We always have! We can chain down any monster, with these." The jackal aimed a finger at the manacles, grinning in delight as he added: "The steel spikes will dig in your flesh, hooking inside your body, while the soul-sucking spikes are built to sink deep into your very own essence, to suck your energies away. No one can break these chains!"

"I can." Killer replied matter-of-factly, grinning widely as he held up his wrists, showing Anubis how the metallic alloy spikes had bent out of shape and crumpled like cheap tin, failing to pierce inside the god's body. Before the liger arched his back with a roar, flexing his powerful musculature as he let his immense energies surge and flood through the chains, the links glowing a blazing white light as they tried to drain the huge male of his power, but failed miserably as his huge bicep bulged explosively, the chains tearing apart and exploding in a hail of burning, broken links which shot all around like projectiles, slamming into Anubis's chest and abdomen, sinking into the metal chest plate and ripping deep gashes into his abdomen.

"Doesn't seem to work that well." Killer teased, continuing to walk towards the two gods as Anubis backstepped in shock, while Sobek only glared at the liger with hate.

"There is much more than I can do. Let's see how you like it, when your heart is ripped out!" The crocodile snarled, leaning forwards and pushing his clawed fingers towards the liger, making a gripping gesture. Killer frowned, then snarled in a mix of surprise and agony as he felt a painful squeeze on his heart, the organ missing a beat as it gave a spasm of pain... before Killer groaned and staggered as his heart burst out of his chest, Sobek laughing darkly as the bleeding, beating organ flew slowly towards his hand, the liger's life fluids splattering on the ground and painting a red streak between them.

Killer's eyes widened in shock as he stared at his own heart, beating vigorously but uselessly as it landed in Sobek's hand... and he felt his energy level dropping violently, his forces abandoning him, even as he continued to advance.

He knew he could live without breathing, but he had no idea of what would happen without his heart in his chest, so he rushed forwards, charging at Sobek, knowing that, god or not, he could still be killed with the right amount of damage inflicted on him.

The crocodile laughed and leapt backwards easily, out of the way, before a second Sobek jumped literally out of the wall, launching himself against Killer and tackling the huge male, sending the liger flying off the judge's terrace to fall into the vast desert of incandescent sand that still filled the enormous room.

Immediately, countless arms formed from the sand, clawing at him and shoving blades through his body, swords stabbing again and again into his form as Killer roared in fury and agony, his eyes fixed on his heart as Sobek passed it to Anubis, who grinned widely as he threw it into a large amphora taken from the large scale.

The second Sobek then filled his vision as it leaned down over his face, grinning down at him viciously as it stabbed Killer's abdomen with the cruel blades of its tail, holding his hands up as a massive cleaver sword formed in them, made of sand which quickly shaped up together and solidified... before Killer roared and lashed out with one huge arm, breaking it free of the hold of uncountable sand warriors, ignoring the blades and hooks that tore at his flesh as he punched Sobek right in the face, knocking the god flying through the room, the head exploding with a burst of gore and blood and the upper chest blown apart like a balloon.

"Give me back what's mine!" Killer snarled, kicking his legs up into the air and jumping up to his feet, an eruption of fire and magma blasting out all around him, burning the sand warriors back into dust and sending more of them scattering backwards in fear, as the liger pointed a hand towards the amphora and tried to call back his heart.

"It won't work!" Anubis cheerfully exclaimed, hugging the amphora to his chest and grinning in cruel amusement. "You have no control at all on your own heart, when it is sealed in this jar for judgment!"

Killer, of course, knew the legends of the past well enough to remember how the Judges of Death would do the final evaluation of the value of the soul before them by weighting its heart on a scale, pitting it against a feather. If the heart was clean and honest, bare of sins and ready for the Heavens, it would weigh less than the feather. Otherwise, it was bad news.

It was ancient and immensely powerful magic at work, powers as old as the universe and meant to make the judges capable to fearlessly trial even the most powerful and most cruel of monsters... but there was at least one advantage in those ancient laws. At least, I think there is...

Killer suspected that the Judges were unable to do any harm to the heart of whoever they were judging. There was no other good explanation he could think of, for the two judges to just throw his heart into a jar instead of destroying it. What Killer knew for sure, anyway, was that he needed it back quickly: he most evidently could survive without it for an indefinite time, but his energies had dropped massively when it had been torn out of his chest, and they continued to drop lower with each passing moment. Eventually, he would die, in not too long a period of time... and anyway, he didn't want to trust his guess on the Laws of the judgment for more time than strictly indispensable. He wasn't going to leave his heart in the hands of the two gods for any second more than it was unavoidable.

Killer flapped his mighty wings once, sending jackal soldiers scattering all around him as they were thrown back and torn into pieces like dolls, clouds of sand and dust swirling around him whenever he tore swathes through the crowd. Anubis dropped the amphora on the plate of the massive scale, and then he got into a ready position, lunging forwards with his spear as a chain of white-hot energy shot out of the swirling sphere of light beneath the blade.

The chain wrapped around Killer, making him snort in rage as he was immediately dragged forwards, the incandescent links tearing into his flesh while the jackal god grinned widely, stabbing the spear towards his chest. Killer snarled and glared at the smaller male, smashing him into the face with a fearsome telekinetic blast, the canine divinity gurgling as blood erupted from his nose as his head was smacked backwards, his body rammed back onto the ground. The liger grinned as the jackal smashed hard into the floor, the huge male seizing the chain and dragging on it to tear Anubis out of the crater in the stone slabs, the judge shrieking in horror as he was pulled through the air towards Killer's massive, powerful fist.

Killer rammed his punch home into Anubis's face, the huge male laughing at the sound of bone shattering into dust, one eye bursting out of one socket as the jackal's face was simply annihilated in one burst of blood. The god shot down through the air, smashing into the floor once more and bouncing up with the force of the impact, before Killer dragged him upwards again, ramming his mighty fist home another time, as Anubis let out a broken howl of agony. Killer laughed darkly as he bounced the god two more times off the ground and against his fist, the jackal's blood painting his muscular body crimson, before Sobek swung an axe down onto the white chain, snapping it like it was thin wire.

Anubis flopped in the deep crater smashed in the floor, coughing blood out of his devastated face, while Killer turned with a snarl towards the crocodile, swinging his arm out against the massive axe, just as his golden energy flowed down his forearm and solidified into a large, thick shield.

The axe smashed against this, sending sparkles flying through the air as the blade recoiled violently backwards, but Sobek only smirked as he pushed up one hand which glowed with dark green energy, before Killer felt his body ceasing to respond to his will as he sailed backwards in midair, freezing in mid-jump, even his expression forcefully changing. The huge male liger easily realized that he had been just sent back in time by a while, and frozen in the past, in the middle of the leap he had taken against Anubis.

"See? I control everything, in this Dimension! I rule supreme, here!" Sobek cackled, grinning as he swung down his axe and chopped the thick, heavy blade right down into Killer's back, making the liger arch his back and scream in agony... even though he actually did not move and made no sound, frozen in time as he was.

"Poor kitty! So proud of your physical might, of your everything-shattering fists... but here, you are nothing!" The crocodile cackled, floating around Killer to lean down towards his face, grinning into the liger's eyes as he stroked a thumb down the blade of the huge axe, before seizing the pole with both hands and dragging it up above his shoulder, laughing as he chopped down hard on Killer's arm, the blade sinking through the liger's massive bicep, almost cutting his forearm off.

Killer could only shut his eyes in pain, sweat rolling down his forehead and rage pulsing in his veins as the crocodile cruelly twisted the thick blade into the wound, before ripping it back out and swinging it down into the liger's muscular, massive thigh.

Anubis, even bleeding heavily from an upper body that looked like it had been tossed into a massive meat grinder and then pounded with a wrecking ball, stood up with a maniac laughter, the few teeth left in his jaws grinding together as he floated upwards towards Killer, spinning his spear in one hand. "You punch hard, young god, but I will make sure you suffer even more. You'll pay for it all."

Killer winced inwardly at how ugly he had made Anubis, as the ruined god spat drool and blood over his face when speaking from jaws turned into little more than dust. The canine pulled slowly back his long spear, then stabbed it forwards with glee, piercing it through Killer's chest as the liger gave another soundless howl... before Killer channeled his energies into a blast of pure force, which took Anubis and Sobek by surprise, smashing both backwards and sending them crashing like meteors into the wall at the end of the room. Sobek, however, only grinned smugly as he vanished, passing right through the wall without any damage, before he reappeared below Killer, shooting out of the desert that had filled the room, the god shooting towards the liger as the massive axe and his heavy mace-scepter floated to his two sides, held up by the crocodile's energies.

Killer took his chance nonetheless, focusing all his energies on breaking out of the time prison, moving faster than light to shatter the restraints placed on him... and with a loud, deafening crack, Reality rippled and seemed to tear apart around the liger, a ghostly image of the huge male tearing free of the time prison and shooting through the room, faster than lightning.

Sobek shot right through the ghost image of Killer, clawing into it with a snarl as his axe and mace both swung viciously down to strike... but Killer was already long gone, as his faint image solidified in front of the huge scale.

"No!" Sobek roared, and Killer snarled as at least a dozen crocodile gods leapt at him, appearing from thin air on all sides just as his hand shot towards the amphora containing his heart. Unsurprisingly, the scale tilted over: my heart is much, much heavier than the feather. Not that I did expect anything different... The liger thought, the awareness nonetheless stinging him with regret for all the terrible things he had done in his life, before he growled in fury as crocodile hands pushed out of the wall and wrapped on the amphora, trying to pull it away.

Killer seized the top of the jar and immediately clamped hard on it, until the amphora cracked apart and burst into dust, his heart floating in midair, still beating. The hands shoving out of the wall lunged forwards to grab it, but Killer was faster, shoving the heart towards his chest: golden energy glowed from the terrible wound in his pec and connected with the organ, pulling it swiftly back to its place before the wound itself glowed brightly and sealed closed... And Killer grinned, letting out a growl of delight as he felt his full force returning.

It all happened in a second, and when he looked up, he let his energies flood his body, running down his veins with the fury of an angry ocean. His muscular body expanded, growing in size and power until he was more than seventy feet tall, his mane brushing the ceiling, his enormous muscles bulging with tremendous physical power as the energy he radiated cracked the stone walls apart. His pants burst apart as he suddenly grew, leaving his immense black shaft hanging majestically in the open, swinging heavily between his muscular thighs, glorious in its astounding immensity, as it rested, like a python sunbathing on large boulders, on two impossible, gigantic testicles full of obscene, excessive virility.

Killer laughed even as the twelve Sobek charged at him: one of them smashed the scepter-mace hard down on the liger's massive shin, but the huge male shrugged it off as the weapon uselessly recoiled. The giant grinned viciously as he pulled one massive foot up and then stomped it hard down upon the shocked crocodile, crushing in into paste with a sick, wet, loud crack which was lost in the booming thunder of the mighty footfall.

Killer easily caught another Sobek in one massive hand, fingers wrapping around the god and crushing him into paste which burst out in splatters as the liger laughed, lazily slapping two more crocodiles out of the air, before two more leapt against his crotch. The liger all but cackled at that, grinning sharkishly as he swung his hips to send his flaccid, immense shaft swinging upwards and outwards, the mighty organ smashing into the two gods and sending them crashing hard into the wall, before the cock itself rammed down upon them, squishing them both with a loud, wet splat.

"You don't measure up, bitch!" Killer teased, his immense cock dripping with blood as he caught another assaulting Sobek and thrust him hard into the wall, crushing him like a fly. Two more charged against Killer's eyes, thrusting spears towards his glowing irises, but the massive god burned both down to ashes with just one thought, before blowing the pitiful remains away with one contemptuous snort.

The remaining crocodile gods dived into the walls, vanishing through them, and Killer bent down to spot Anubis trying to sneak away, climbing out of the crater that the jackal had built crashing into the stone with his body. Killer seized the thick, enormous base of his cock with one strong hand and whipped the gigantic shaft down, smashing it on top of Anubis, cock-slapping the god out of the air and sending him crashing down like a meteor into the rippling desert below.

The jackal screamed in pain and horror, looking both disgusted and terrified as he swam his way back to the surface in the sea of sand, just for Killer to shove him back again, the giant liger settling one heavy, massive toe upon the jackal's head and shoving him down.

"Arrogant... bastard!" The jackal squeaked, awkwardly swimming in the rippling desert of sand as dust and dirt filled his mouth, before he barked: "I can grow too; you think that is so special?" The jackal shoved up against the massive toe, his body glowing as it expanded quickly, Killer stepping backwards with a smirk as the canine grew until he could, to almost eighty feet of height, until his head pushed up into the ceiling.

Anubis was regenerating his devastated body quite quickly, but his face was still a messy pulp, with one single eye glaring at Killer, red with blood and bulging out of its socket. It made Killer grin sharkishly as the liger easily replied: "No, I don't think growing is special. Growing as big as I could, though, is very special. And anyway, you might have grown, but you still look like shit. And I can make you look even worse." Killer paused, beckoning teasingly with a finger, and the jackal snarled in blind fury, lashing out with a punch in which he thrust all his strength... but Killer easily parried it, holding up one hand and catching the canine's fist before squeezing on it almost playfully, making the jackal howl in pain as the bones in his fingers snapped apart like twigs.

The canine god tried to pull his hand back, and as he shifted backwards, he swung up one leg in a powerful, elegant turning kick. Killer, however, pulled up his free hand and easily blocked the blow, before grabbing the jackal by the long black hair, dragging his face forwards and bending his spine forcefully forwards while slashing one knee up.

Anubis screamed in horror, but his resistance was useless against the liger's monstrous strength: Killer rammed his knee up into the jackal's face, smashing it apart in a splatter of dark blood and gross gore, sending the god stumbling backwards and collapsing on his ass, smashing through a large stone column.

"See...?" Killer teasingly asked, rolling his mighty shoulders slowly, before he snarled as a massive, flaming chain shot out of the wall to his right, and arched towards him, wrapping around his throat. Sobek pushed out through the wall behind him, ramming both feet into the liger's back and knocking him stumbling forwards one step while the crocodile twisted the chain around his wrists and pulled hard, trying to suffocate and behead the liger.

Killer had just enough time to push a hand up in the noose, shielding his throat and seizing into the chain, dragging it forwards and away from his neck, even as the crocodile snarled: "This is my world, mine alone! And no matter how strong you are, here you'll never be stronger than me."

Anubis scrambled back to his feet, howling in anger and pain as he launched himself against Killer, but right in that moment everyone looked up as a new, immense force rippled the fabric of reality, before the massive double doors of the courthouse exploded into fragments, blown off their frame by a massive psychic blast.

Alexis stomped into the room, her eyes glowing with rage as she flung the four sand warriors holding on to her arms flying through the room, annihilating them with a glare a moment later, before she looked up to see Killer wrestling the other two gods back.

She looked puzzled for a moment, but then she grinned sharkishly, licking her lips slowly, and Killer had enough time to grin himself as he said: "Oh, now you are so screwed..."

Immediately afterwards, Alexis roared and arched her back, flexing her powerful musculature as she let a massive blast of sheer power erupting out of her body, which blew the vast room outwards, making it bulge out of shape like a balloon as Anubis was knocked down by the tremendous shockwave, while Sobek retreated into the wall to the back, vanishing once more.

One moment later, Alexis had grown to match Killer's sizes, keeping herself only slightly shorter than him, as she always did in sign of respect and submission, and she walked forwards in all her beauty and deadly majesty as Anubis scrambled away from her, crawling backwards with a terrified expression on his face.

"We do not sleep often. But when we do, getting woken up by bastards like you makes us angry." Alexis coldly said, glaring down at Anubis before she stomped hard on his face, twisting the cruel steel sole of her boot upon his smashed features... before her foot fell down as the jackal god vanished from the spot.

"Anubis, you coward, come back...!" Sobek's voice ordered, booming through the room, and Alexis snorted as she easily replied: "Hear the lion-heart speaking! Come back and get your ass kicked, whoever the fuck you are."

Killer grinned amusedly at that, as the two lovers traded a high five, before the female slammed her fists together eagerly.

"Careful what you wish for." Sobek venomously hissed, and a moment later the devastated room was rattled like a leaf, before the roof exploded and rained down in massive boulders and blocks of maroon stone as two gigantic hands broke through, gripping into the walls and lifting the whole building upwards.

Killer and Alexis separated, leaping in opposite directions and gripping into the walls as the roof and naves collapsed, crumbling into pieces as more and more sand rushed in through the cracks in the walls and then through the collapsed ceiling. The light of the sun, however, scorching hot and blazing, soon came in from above as Killer stared in amazement at the sight of the courthouse breaking out of the surface of a vast desert of red sand which rippled as thousands of massive warriors pushed out of the dust.

Many rushed into the crumbling courthouse, while the sand already in the vast room all swirling up in vortexes that turned into further dozens of soldiers, all carrying heavy, large blades or warhammers, as Killer and Alexis both let themselves slide down the walls, standing alone in front of that armada.

They began to beat the sand warriors back, even as they gazed upwards as the courthouse was lifted higher and higher into the air, before a massive, muscular chest covered in thick green scales filled their vision, blotting out the sky completely as it cast the courthouse in total darkness.

"No one is bigger than me, in my own world!" Sobek cackled, as he easily lifted the building up to his eye, grinning viciously as he looked inside the courthouse, as small as toy to him, to see the two ligers battling back the dozens and dozens of sand warriors, which kept reforming every time they were destroyed.

Killer snarled as he seized a charging sand crocodile by the shoulders, lifting him high above his head before tearing him in half down the middle, tossing the two halves off to the side with a snort, even as they dissolved into puffs of dust. The huge male liger gritted his fangs angrily as he smashed his fist through the chest of another warrior, just to see both of his victims quickly reforming. The liger allowed himself to glare upwards, through the missing roof, to see Sobek sneering down at him, the god laughing as he stood uncountable miles tall, far more muscular and bulkier than ever before.

The crocodile was now simply immense, towering high above clouds that only reached the height of his ankles as he loomed over the desert. His body had grown bulkier and more muscular, matching Killer's astonishing build, but dwarfing it with the astonishing size Sobek was now standing at. The crocodile now sported massive bull horns arching towards the end of his muzzle, and his shoulders had changed in shape to accommodate the birth of two more pair of muscular, powerful arms. The god easily held the courthouse between the palms of two of his hands, while the other ones were all wrapped on the thick handles of gigantic, heavy weapons.

"And no one can kill the Sand Shadows. They will keep coming for you, Killer, until they bring you down! You can kill and destroy them all you want, but soon or later, you'll grow exhausted, while the sand of the desert will continue to wear down on you with the same unrelenting viciousness!" Sobek added, grinning widely as he shifted the building in his hands so he could better look inside it, the god eagerly watching as Killer and Alexis tore their way through the Shadows.

The huge male traded a gaze with Alexis, before he ducked as a Shadow swung out with a massive, spiked warhammer, the weapon hissing above Killer's head and smashing violently into the wall, before the liger's hand shot upwards and clawed into the beast's neck, shoving him upwards and backwards, knocking three more warriors flying backward before Killer squeezed hard on the throat and crumbled the statue. More and more leapt at him from all sides, however, and he blasted them into pebbles with a telekinetic shockwave, before he kicked the legs out from under a large warrior, sending him stumbling forwards with a silent growl.

The liger grinned at that, kicking the creature in the face and sending it shooting towards Alexis, who arched her back with a roar, burning down into vapor the enemies surrounding her with the force of her immense aura, before she seized the leg of the creature and twisted on her foot, spinning back and throwing the sand warrior with all her immense strength.

Sobek grunted in surprise and pulled back, but the sand warrior still smashed right into his eye, making him roar in fury as he arched his back, blinking painfully as his eye burst apart with a splatter of blood. "You tiny little bastards...!" The god howled, flexing his huge arms with rage as he shoved his palms together, crushing the courthouse into nothing but dust and fragments which rained down towards the desert far below.

Killer had expected it, and as soon as the gigantic hand of the crocodile smashed its way through the wall, breaking the room in half, the liger leapt up and smashed his feet on the head of a sand warrior, crushing his head into dust before jumping on top of a large cleaver blade swung against him by another Shadow. Killer ran up the large flat of the massive weapon as the room crumbled around him, the floor breaking apart and the sand cascading towards the ground, miles below as the walls exploded in a hail of fragments. Killer leapt upon one of the large blocks of stone, charging towards the gigantic hand of the crocodile god as he focused his energies into his right hand, a massive sword quickly taking shape in his grip as he took the final leap towards the gigantic index finger of Sobek.

Killer landed on top of the intermediate phalanx of the immense digit and ran up it, grinning in dark amusement as he leapt past one thick golden ring, twisting his wrist so to swing his sword downwards as he channeled further energies into the blade, making it grow tenfold in length as it bit down through scales and flesh.

Killer swung the sword easily out in a smooth, elegant rising crescent, the golden blade cutting the finger off like it was made of butter, before Killer let the blade continue to swing upwards, until it rested easily upon his shoulder as he leapt off the falling finger and onto the back of Sobek's hand. Here, Killer stabbed the blade down into the flesh and dragged it behind himself as he charged up the god's arm, slicing it open with cruel, surgical efficiency.

Sobek howled in fury and agony at that, stumbling backwards and shaking his arms out to try and send both ligers falling off, as Alexis charged up his other hand, laughing cruelly as she used her immense psychic power to slash deep, ugly gashes through the crocodile's flesh, every glare of hers sending blades of energy slamming into the giant god's body.
