Carly and Mia phased into the digiworld as they had done several times before, with a flashing beam of light. The bright red digimon hopped slightly in place as she called for its trainer. Its white serrated the flashing wide in a smile, and its eyes widening in excitement.

Alraumon slashed furiously at Agumon, yet the yellow dinosaur wasn't fighting back. From where they were they could hear Alraumon yelling something, but it was too distant to be discernible. After a few more moments of bickering, Alraumon stormed out of the lake and Agumon stayed behind in the water.

Carly jumped down of their perching spot and nonchalantly walked down to the lake. Mia widened her eyes when she noticed what the girl was doing and hurried after her with a jump start. When Mia catched up to her, Carly was already talking to the Agumon. When Mia drew nearer, however, she noticed that there was something different with that Agumon.
