And I all comes to an end, for now at least...

Iren ran forward, striking Loraine to no affect even as she punched with all her power. The metal-skinned warrior simply grabbed her hand and pulled it up into the air, Iren catching note of that gave a simple energy blast to her feet and rolled up into the air, as Loraine’s arms rotated her body into the sky. Once again the Outsiders were facing the metallic threat of the nanobots, facing their two Generation One warriors, Loraine and Gene.

Iren pushed off Loraine and threw herself into the air, landing five feet away like a cat always should, on her feet. Looking around seemingly a crowd had gathered, capturing photographs of them fighting but at least staying back and allowing the Outsiders to keep control on the situation. In front of her, she watched as Erick and Ross combated against Gene.

Running forward, she raised her hands and they glowed with fire as she jumped onto a raised platform and tried to outrun Loraine. Quickly that stopped, Loraine simply just flashed right next to her and Iren stopped dead in her feet as the nanobot appeared right in front of her.

“Come on now then Outsider, you’re better than that, at least give me a little challenge, and live with some regret!” Loraine said as she grabbed Iren by the wrist and this time pulled her off in the other direction. Iren watched as the world flashed past her, her body failing as seemingly at least in her mind, she traveled around the world seeing every landmark and every person she wanted to see.

Quickly Iren flipped again, raising a shield in front of them, and as Loraine reacted, Iren managed to escape her grip flying away, but once again flawlessly landing on the ground. Erick ran around, feeling every around him with his powers. He could feel Gene’s exact location; he could feel the feelings coming off his body and he could track the nanobots as they tried to come up with a way to use Ross’s power against him.

While the dragon was able to somewhat move in his form, able to step maybe once every three seconds which wasn’t doing them much help, at this point, Ross was currently tumbling around a lamppost, that Gene managed to hit him on. Ross in quite humorous fashion started to spin all the way to the top, breaking the lightbulb as he did. Erick jumped out of the way of one of the Nanobot’s blast. He looked around and wondered why would anyone want to fight with them, they’re brash, and have to wide a set of powers to deal with.

“So now, then let’s figure you guys out. Why don’t you have individualized superpowers?” Erick said as he dodged one of Gene’s attacks, just by the tip of his mohawk. He looked at the nanoleader and seemingly Erick managed to hit a nerve. Erick smiled and looked at him as he backed up.

“Why would all have the same abilities spread to just two of you? Unless maybe you were planning an army or something, maybe one nanoleader to turn you all into Generation Ones and one to rule them all.” Erick said as meanwhile a massive crash took place behind him, Ross flying off the pole and crashing into an empty cabbage stand.

“You might be close, you might be wrong I can’t give you exact details but do know stumble on too many secrets and then you’ll be in more trouble than you might think yourself able to handle.” Gene said as he raised his fist and suddenly Ross to Erick’s place and quickly freezing up, taking the punch. Ross’s body rung with energy as his metallic covering vibrated. Erick quickly game back and kicked Gene in the face.

Iren looked at Loraine and threw a set of fireballs at her, focusing her energy into it. They flew at her and just before Loraine could defuse them. The fireball exploded into a series of tiny strikes and all hit the lady. Iren ran forward, while she had the distraction and she suddenly felt the rain on her orange and black fur.

Jumping up into the air, Iren quickly kicked Loraine down to the ground, and she smiled seeing the nanobot trapped under her foot. Iren stepped down and pushed on her foot as Loraine struggled underneath. Loraine pushed her off and as thunder started to strike around them, Iren smiled they had a battle now.

Iren ran forward with all her might and quickly with a single push of energy to her claws created a massive energy sword off her middle claw. Smiling as she ran forward, she slashed it forward and Loraine quickly caught it in the air. Loraine grabbed it and started to pull at it, probably intending to pull the whole of Iren in with it. Luckily Iren managed to let the claw go and Loraine was knocked back.

“Oh come on, remember when you were hard to face. Now we can toe to toe for a while and I haven’t even broken a sweat yet. Bring out Frostbite and Flashpoint; maybe all four of you can finally give me a challenge.” Iren said seemingly taunting the nanoleader, Loraine smiled and simply put her finger forward.

Loraine smiled as a pulsing ball of black energy formed in front of her, purple energy arcing around the ball and causing worry to Iren as she waited for her to simply do something. The ball expanded and Iren could start to feel the foreign energy come off it.

And then Loraine raised her finger and shrunk the ball down, right up to her finger tip. And then like that Loraine threw the ball forward, Iren quickly dodged it but even as she saw it go by her, she felt it coming still for her. Iren shielded her behind and was still knocked to the ground as she felt the blast hit her.

Suddenly above her the sky rumbled it wasn’t thunder as she thought. Above them, suddenly there was a gust of wind that pushed all of them. Iren looked above and a massive shadow appeared, quickly it condensed into one person and the shadow landed on the ground. The shadow’s shadow was removed and they could better see its body.

“Retreat now!” Loraine yelled as she and Gene started to run from the shadow, Iren looked at them wondering why they were running from the shadow. Looking forward it was a Riftwalker, one they met before Elijah. He stood their laughing as a delta symbol on his head, flashed on and off. His brother was missing, which was strange as normally Joel stood right next to him, if only they knew.

This time two stones were pulled on his chest. They stood silent and Iren wondered what the Riftwalker did to make the nanobots run away. She should have taken the warning from them instead.

“Elijah, what did you do to get them to run away?” Iren asked as she walked forward towards Elijah. The Riftwalker simply smiled and showed his teeth, they seemed jagged and changed. Iren stood in place as Elijah started to laugh out loud, seemingly on his own accord. The Riftwalker put out his hand and fired a blast, Iren quickly rolled of its way and looked at him, he seemed changed and not in a good way.

“Erick, can you get me a general reading on this!” Iren said as she looked back to Erick. The face on dread on the komodo’s face said it all. Elijah grabbed one of the stones around his neck and pulled it up to his shoulder. Releasing it as it touched the other one it fused and suddenly an energy wave was released. Iren held up her hands and tried to block it, she was nearly knocked away.

The stone defused and as the stone flew up to Elijah’s shoulder, unimpeded by all those things that would make a neck pendulum physically impossible, Iren backed up and shielded herself behind a lamppost. She looked forward and wondered what was pushing the Riftwalker to do this, another wave of energy was release and they all stood still as the city square shook.

Planets were stripped of their petals as the second large energy wave was released and then they were ripped from the ground as the stone flew up past Elijah’s shoulder and nearly to his ears. Iren looked as the lamppost above her started to bend from the quick secession of waves. Elijah’s stone kept flying up higher and higher until it just reached the apex of her head.

Iren ran back with the wave and took cover behind a concrete wall, not wanted to know what would happen if the stone made a full rotation. Suddenly the stone flew past Elijah’s right shoulder and continued to fly past Elijah’s hair; it glowed as it flew back down to the ground at full speed and slammed back into the stone.

Iren stood back and listened as a massive roar screamed into the square and suddenly she heard the sound of wings unfurling. Above her she heard the sound of wings flapping and just like that she saw a massive shadow fly away, with no doubt that was Elijah as he fled.

Iren stood up and looked at the damage he did, everything that was facing him was bent away from him and all plant life in the square was devoid of life. And then she was knocked to ground by the last wave of energy.

“Oh god what the hell just happened!” Finn yelled as he and Isaac arrived at the bottom of the massive hill. Someone was just shooting at them; Finn turned back and wondered who did it. Stepping out of his car, he looked around and examined the sky, wondering if any airships or Vertibirds had fired at them, Finn found the sky empty except for the clouds raining on them.

“I don’t know I was just fighting Elijah and then we’re fired upon you called for us to retreat, I didn’t get to see who fired on us.” Isaac said as he slowly breathed, he looked around. No one seemed to be following them down the road, Finn looked around and settled as he tried to breath. He looked around and he could hear it, the marching in the distance. A massive screaming came from the forest, shaking the woods.

“Hide!” Upon hearing Isaac yell that, Finn quickly took shelter in the car and closed the door, deactivating his perception filter as Isaac joined in. As whatever screamed flew over them, the car shook and dust was brought up from the ground. Finn felt on as the car nearly was shaken over onto its side. Finn held on for his life, closing his eyes as he hoped that they would stay still.

“Oh god.” Isaac spoke in disbelief, in front of them a massive shadow flew ahead and Finn realized that was some sort of massive beast. It wings seemed to be a hundred feet across and it just seemed to be glowing with such an energy. Finn stood still as it seemingly flew down towards Carson City. Finn opened the door and stepping out onto the road, he watched as it seemingly shrunk into the portrait of the city.

“Oh, both of the Riftwalkers and the Kagens are going to see that.” Finn said as he stepped out and looked at Isaac who nodded. “Isaac, I felt that energy and I think its Elijah and if both sides can feel that then they’re going to come for it. The Riftwalkers march through the valley and the Kagens this way.”

Finn stepped back into the car and Isaac started to the engine and turned off the radio as he drove forward in the rain. Windshield wipers splashed away the rain and Finn looked forward and as he tried to see if he could make out the shadow in Carson City. Suddenly he felt a tiny wave of energy passing through his body, both him and Isaac shivered feeling the energy pass through their body. Both of the sharks looked at each other as the energy stirred conversation.

“Well then we’ll have to stop them, if I figure this right then both sides will meet at Carson City Airport. I can drop you off at the square and it will only be a walk from there. From that I can go back to base and see if I can get something to contain the Riftwalker.” Isaac said as he drove into the city, seemingly the streets were devoid of any car activity, maybe the rain pushed people in or maybe they felt something happening, but the streets were empty today.

“Eerie.” Finn reacted to the streets in the best way he could and looking at it, he saw as Isaac stopped the car in the middle of the street, not worrying about any of the cars coming. Finn waited a second and watched as Isaac grabbed the shifter and put the car into park. The car stopped and Finn waited.

“Would you like me to turn the car off as well?” Isaac asked as he grabbed onto the keys and seemingly had that intension. Finn laughed a bit and looked over to Isaac. Finn leaned over and kissed Isaac, Finn backed away and waited for Isaac to stop blushing. “Bye, good luck. I, I love you.”

“I love you too.” Finn said as he opened the door and stepped out onto the streets. Looking around, as the rain feel on him, he looked around. Isaac drove off and Finn waved for a second, as the car disappeared in the distance, going to the Outsider base. Finn wondered how long he would have until the Kagens and the Riftwalkers arrive, both of them were about a mile and a half out of town, which would give him at least fifteen minutes.

The buildings seemed empty, no lights on in any of the building. It was like the city was emptied and evacuated while they were away. He looked over to the square, the lampposts normally illuminated in the rain were blank, and that suggested that something was affecting the power in this area. He wondered could Elijah do that.

Walking over to the square, all the palm trees and the planets were stripped of their green leafs and even a lamppost was bent. Everything seemed to be spread out from one place, where energy was radiatied from. Finn walked forward wondering what was done in order to apply such energy in order to do all of this; the city square was completely empty.

Walking forward he heard something from behind a concrete guard. Finn ran forward and looking, he quickly bent down and looked as he found Iren on the ground. Finn ran over and saw her moan as she kept still on the ground, her fur was burned in places, and the shark looked down and saw her as she tried to move her orange body. Ross and Erick stood by, both of them knocked down to the ground.

“Ok, just stay calm, I’m so sorry, but someone can fix this.” Finn said as he reached into his pocket and pulled out his phone. Finn reached over to turn off Iren’s perception filter but looking over her body he found it was broken. Looking over to Erick and Ross both of theirs were off as well. Finn pulled the phone to his face and clicked the buttons on the screen, 9, 1, 1.

“Hello, I need an ambulance at Carson City Square. There are three victims, all of them are burned and they need quick attention.” Suddenly the ground shook and Finn looked up. The shadow arrived; this was his opportunity to fight Elijah. Did his hand slip, did he release the metal pipes? Was this what it was for, did Joel die at his hands? “I can’t stay with them but they are behind a concrete block.”

Finn hung up the phone and looked at Iren. She seemed to still have some hope left even as she stood on the ground in pain, he really wished he could do something, but for now it seemed that he didn’t have powers to heal her. “You’ll be fine I called the ambulance, they’re coming for you.”

Iren smiled as she closed her eyes and Finn looked at her as he measured her pulse, it was weakening but she might survive an hour. He smiled as he stood up and walked towards Ross and Erick.

“Finn you need to be careful, he’s powerful.” Ross said for a second before he closed his eyes as well. Above him, suddenly filling the air with rotor noise, three airships flew overhead. Finn looked and saw one was carrying a tank, they were heading towards the airport as well. Finn looked down at the two of them, he needed to defend his city.

“I’m sorry but I need to do this, I might have killed Joel and now Elijah, well they’re brothers and something tells me big brother might want revenge, just keep my story alive.” Finn said as he nodded at the unconscious Outsiders and walked away, he realized this was a duel, this was his battle against Elijah and he needed to do this for so many reasons.

One, he needed to defend his city against the Kagens and the Riftwalkers; he would not allow his city to be sunk into war. He walked forward, looking at the plants in the park and told them mentally at least that they would regrow, and he would keep this city alive.

Two, he wondered back to the battle against Elijah and Joel, an hour ago, he tried to remember back to the final seconds before he ran from the shots. If Elijah’s focus was taken away for just a second would Finn be able to send his metal pipes through, did he impale Joel? If he did, then he needed to pay for that, he needed to at least defend himself.

Three, he was an Outsider, this was his job, he fought against the supernatural and unexplainable. He went to beyond the Earth and fought those who came with it, if a duel with Elijah would protect he city, then if electricity was his gun and he methodically fiddled with the trigger. With his cuffs on he wondered if he would be able to take out Elijah if he turned on the city.

Walking forward, he walked into alley, mice and other woodland creatures moving out of his way as he walked forward. Exiting the alley he crossed the empty street and walked into the airport, passing through the double glass doors and into the grand Concorde. It was empty; the white lined hallways empty as he looked around trying to see if anyone was coming.

Walking forward, into the cathedral of an airport entrance, he walked up to the second level and looked around. Finn stepped slowly to the second level and looked down, a three airships and one tank all stood in front of something, they stood as suddenly a purple wave shot back against them. Finn knew they might not survive much longer.

Running towards the empty desk, he passed through and then the second wave hit. The glass behind him exploded and spread over the ground. Finn turned back and quickly saw the tanks moved back quite a bit. Finn saw the opening and figured so long as he didn’t make it himself, he was in the green, and thus jumped through the opportunity.

“Retreat men!” Crying out, a solider started to back up the tank. Maverick stood behind a shield watching as his men were defeated by something simply standing there. Finn landed on the concrete airway and saw hell happening around him, soldiers took refuge behind pieces of the building that fell off and other natural places to take cover. They fired at the person behind the tank, the airships rotating around the ram.

“What are you doing men? Get back, I didn’t say we could leave this place. None of you have died yet so fire on him!” Maverick yelled from behind the barricade as he raised his rifle and setting an example for his men started to fire bullets on Elijah. The soldiers took aim but even as they fired it had no visible effect on the ram, he just roared and knocked the bullets away. “Fire tanks on him!”

In the tank, the man watched Elijah on a screen and waited for the right time. His fingers methodically fiddled with the trigger as he aimed towards the ram, simply standing there and smiling as his necklace rotated around and fused with a standing one. Putting his finger on the trigger as he did, he pressed it in and clicked it down. Above him, a massive gun activated.

An explosion accelerated a massive bullet forward. It flew out of the tank probably going a thousand feet per second. Finn watched as suddenly the bullet was knocked back by a wave and into the airport, the building engulfed in fire as Finn looked back shocked as it happened. The tank backed up and the airships started to fire on Elijah.

“All of you step out of my way, this is his battle now.” Elijah said smiling as with a simple click of his fingers, a wave of energy exited from his body and pushed the airships away. Finn watched in horror as they crashed into the edge of the airport.

“Ok, stop this now Elijah, I know your brother is dead but you can’t do this, I don’t know if I killed him or if someone else killed him, but you cannot throw this city into war just because of that. If the Riftwalkers go to war then think of all your friends that will die.” Finn said as he walked putting his hand out and letting free electricity arc down his arm, trying to intimidate the Riftwalker.

“Oh please, the Riftwalkers are not my friends, I am just apart of them. They abandoned me on this planet with my younger brother for a million years. So you damn well better think that I’d be happy will all of them dying, so don’t try to get into my head and act like you know me. Trust me, because you will be wholly disappointed.” Elijah said as the necklace completed its rotation and fused with its counterpart completely. A triangle appeared on Elijah’s forehead and he smiled as he seemingly stood up, despite already standing.

His fur turned grey, he gained blood stained Kagen Armor, a massive cape following down. Two large wings seemingly appeared on his shoulder and he started to fly. His horns curled up and lengthened, he smiled as he floated into the air, arcs of energy hitting the ground and throwing concrete material around.

Seemingly he raised his hand and out of the ground, a hundred large bone spires rose out of the ground, sharp in their ends, unlike Joel’s that stayed anatomically correct. Finn looked around as he was seemingly trapped, suddenly below him the ground opened up and Finn barely rolled into the ground and got away.

Finn watched and suddenly he moved again, he started to run as he realized that he was trapped in Elijah’s trap. Bones appeared behind him, spiking up and falling back into the ground as they seemingly followed him in the “arena”, attempting to impale his body. Finn smiled as he looked behind, and jumped off the wall of the area; shinesparking disappearing in an instant. Slamming into the bone wall, he didn’t even manage to make a mark as he slammed into it.

Suddenly the walls were knocked down, as Finn landed on the ground. Looking up he watched as someone else shinesparked into the arena. Tidus entered and as Livewire, he slammed himself into Elijah. The large ram was knocked into the ground and crushed a portion of his bone arena as he landed on the ground.

Livewire saluted at Finn and Finn saluted back, the walls fell back into the ground and seemingly the ground closed back up. Michelle appeared and started to fire on Elijah, raising her hands and forming a pair of pistols in her hand. She looked at Finn and smiled; Finn just nodded at her and figured he might as well let her jump to her own drum.

“Now then, you seem to have a made a mistake because you cannot just fight me Elijah, you also fight my friends, Livewire, Armory, we can all do this, so trust us and just surrender right now!” Finn boasted as he walked forward and put his hands out. He threw electricity at Elijah and he shocked him, keeping him on the ground as they all stood waiting for him to pass out.

Elijah shook as he was shocked, his body going into alert mode. A wave of energy was released out and Finn stood and faced the blast. Yet looking back, he saw Tidus and Michelle knocked back. Finn kept his position as he looked forward at Elijah standing back up and looking around.

“So then Outsider you think that we are week, you think that the Riftwalkers are just here to be pushed around by you and the Kagens, because we will bite back hard and you will regret ever fucking with us.” The ram said as he landed on the ground and put his hand forward. Suddenly a blast flew out and Finn quickly threw himself out of the way as it blasted away the ground next to him.

“You are all monsters, you just want to attack but you never consider piece you just want to wipe out the Kagens and move on, but I can’t allow that happen. I want you both to survive and if I have to keep on pushing you until I find the right amount of peace between you then I will!” Finn yelled as thunder stuck around them, Elijah just smiled and looked to the east. Suddenly out of the storm fog, marching warriors dressed in black and chainmail appeared.

And then to the west, warriors dressed in red walked forward coming down from Lake Tahoe and waiting to attack. Elijah smiled as he looked to the Kagens, turning towards them and seemingly just waiting. Quickly the Kagens took position setting up and firing their energy. Finn backed out of the way as Elijah was stuck by a layer of attacks but to no avail.

“You see this is where it all begins, this is where the war begins and where it ends, the Kagens and the Riftwalkers will engulf this planet in fire and you will regret the moment that you decided to mess with us!” Elijah said as his eye glowed blue and he grabbed ahold of Finn telepathically. The shark struggled in his invisible hand; he was lifted into the air.

“Let me go, we don’t need to do this, we can find peace, what is wrong with putting your weapons down and just having peace for once!” Finn yelled as he was lifted into the air and then as Elijah smiled, the ram threw him forward with one look of his eye. Finn was thrown past the broken windows of the airport and slammed into the front wall.

Landing on the ground, Finn groaned as he closed his eyes. Death seemed so nice; he could just close his eyes and allow the white life to engulf him. And then he heard two sets of footprints around him. Looking forward he saw someone dressed in a kingly fashion, and one dressed in an Outsider like attitude.

“Well look at this, is he the one who will manage to bring the Kagens and Riftwalkers to peace?” The King said as he walked around, looking down at the shark. Finn groaned and King laughed a bit as he walked around. “Oh trust me it only gets worse from here young Outsider.”

“He is destined to but not in his current state; maybe he has powers like mine, but trust me on that one. You do need to stand up and fight Elijah, because if you don’t everyone you know, everything you see, everything you have done will be erased.” The Outsider shark said laughing as he sat down on the stairs and looked from a distance.

“Ok fine, I’m standing up.” Finn pushed his hands on the dirty white tiled floor and managed to slip his legs under and sit down. Putting his legs out, he managed to get a grip on the floor and like that he was standing up again. He walked forward, the two who talked disappearing to him. Finn wondered who they were and instead walked forward. “Where did you go, who was that?”

Finn looked around surprised, but knew that he had a battle to face. Running forward, he released electricity and shinesparked away. He slammed his body into Elijah as he appeared again. Elijah turned and looked at him and only laughed at him. Finn quickly jumped off the ram and landed on the ground, his body screaming in pain as he landed.

“Ok, Elijah you should sit your fat ass down!” Finn yelled, jumping up into the air and his hand sparked. Using his powers, he propelled himself into the air and slammed his fist down into the ram. Elijah grabbed his hand and simply pulled it away from Finn. The shark looked surprise, but Elijah then slammed him down into the ground, the concrete bending around his body.

Finn stood up still, managing to pull himself back up as he managed to stay alive against the ram’s attack. He needed to do this, he needed to protect the city and he needed follow his instinct and save the city. Finn running forward grabbed onto the leg of Elijah and started to shock him. The ram screamed out in pain as his eye glowed blue again.

Out of the ground, once again a layer of bone walls appeared, protecting them from the gun fire; however Finn was trapped with the Riftwalker again. Luckily this time with a better idea of what he was doing. Jumping up and backing away, Finn saw Elijah raise his hands, seemingly to summon the barrage of bones that would follow him.

“Come on, shinespark!” Finn threw his body into Elijah, surely shocking the ram as he knocked his body and with it all of its momentum into it. Finn watched as the ram stood seemingly unaffected, but his attack was canceled. Instead the ram just laughed and put its hand out, Finn watched as a ball of energy formed.

Quickly the shark threw himself out of the way as the ball surged towards him, and he watched as it barely missed the wall of bones. Finn quickly started to run around Elijah, the ram following him and the same with a series of black energy balls as Elijah tried to keep up with him.

Finn raised his hand to Elijah. Gathering his electricity and putting his hands right into front of an energy ball, as he reached forward he seemed blocked the ball with a layer of electricity on his hands and held it in place. With a swipe of his hand the energy deflected into the wall. Finn smiled at Elijah and honestly wondered how long he could continue to do this until he tired himself out.

“Come on now, we can talk about this. Surely in your heart you can find the measure to want to give the Kagens peace.” Finn said pausing, suddenly a bone jutted out next to him and quickly the shark got the memo, rolling out of the way he watched as a series of pointy bones were raised where he once stood.

Looking around, the concrete on the ground was cracked and seemingly all separated. Putting his hand down, Finn smiled for a second and released a burst of electrical energy from his hands. For a second the arena was too bright for them to see anything important, but then in a second all the concrete parts were zipping around as Finn’s attack propelled them.

Grabbing one of the rock pieces Finn threw it at Elijah, knocking the ram in the horns and probably causing more anger in the Riftwalker. Unluckily that would continue the cycle, but this time the ground was gone and the soddy layer of top soil was revealed. Landing on it, he nearly sunk into the ground as the dirt quickly absorbed the water and turned into mud, however Finn would not need to work about that in order to win.

Quickly shinesparking one last time, he grabbed on to the top of a bone pillar, careful not to poke himself, and let gravity do the work. The bone started to wobble as he was pulled back towards the ground and this time, seeming the bone was pulled all the way. Finn nodded at Elijah and jumped out of the gap formed.

Seemingly Finn could make a run for it then, maybe shinespark away and hope that Isaac at that time made a device that could work for them, but it seemed like the world didn’t want them to exactly get away that day. As for looking into the distance it seemed like the Riftwalkers were firing everything on the Kagens and the Kagens were giving it everything they got. Elijah broke out of his bone prison and bones flew over the airport.

Elijah looked around and Finn knew that he had taken target to the Kagens, quickly the ram flew over to them at top speed, and probably getting their quicker and faster than Finn could. Finn watched as the Kagens took aim at the Riftwalker and started to fire at him, some in the front line repositioning themselves.

“Come on men, it is only one fusion beast, we’ve faced greater in the deserts of Alpha Teroniss!” Twilight yelled as he threw all his raw energy at Elijah, briefly he knocked the Riftwalker to the ground as the flamed energy exited his hands. He smiled for a second, but as expected the Riftwalker rose once again and started to attack the Kagens.

Finn quickly made a run for the Kagens, feeling his body and looking down to his wrists he quickly found he was running on borrowed energy. He didn’t have much time left and what little he did have, he was running out of quicker then he could gain back. Finn ran forward and arrived at Elijah, the Riftwalker seemingly blissfully unaware of the shark behind him.

Finn jumped on Elijah and as he took hold in the ram’s fur, he grabbed on to his wings and pushed himself up even as the Riftwalker tried to shake him off with all his vigor. But then he grabbed ahold of the horns and started to nestle his foot into the fusion’s wing. Finn sighed and started to summon what was left of his energy.

Elijah screamed as he was directly shocked, his body shaking and backing up from the Kagens as Finn tried to play bull with him. Elijah backed up and started to shake and flap his wings, stomping his feet and everything he could and would try to get the Outsider off his back. Finn held on, even as the ram seemingly shook him back and forth and tried to get him off like he was the plague.

“Get off of me you little bastard!” Elijah screamed and reaching his arm back, fired an energy blast. Finn was perhaps too stuck in order to do anything and was quickly removed from the Riftwalker’s back. Landing on the ground, he watched as one Kagen fired quite a horrible shot at him. Finn looked at the Kagen and quite quickly it turned back to firing on Elijah.

Elijah landing on the ground simply laughed at the Kagens. Putting his hands forward a bubble of energy formed around his body and like that he was protected from the Kagens. However, that was not all the Riftwalker intended to do. Clapping his hands together, energy gathered upon his palms. Expanding outwards, the ram simply pulled his hands apart and allowed the Kagens to feel apprehensiveness for their incursion.

“Fall back!” Twilight yelled as the Kagens quickly broke formation and all jolted back for the forest. Elijah and smiled and threw forward the blast, a massive black line of energy seemingly lined with yellow all heading towards the Kagens. And Twilight stepped in; spreading his arms out Finn looked in surprise as he took Elijah’s judgement.

Twilight’s body was nearly knocked back, but he digging his feet into the ground the Kagen shark closed his eyes as he took all of the attack. Finn wondered why he would do such a thing; even if it was honorable he would die. But then he realized Twilight had family and friends among the Kagens and even if he was a bit of a dick to Finn, he still wanted to protect them. Twilight was as moral as Finn was and so were the Riftwalkers.

But what Elijah was doing now, was eccentric. He wasn’t protecting his people, he was encouraging more violence, and he could have been starting an endless cycle. And looking back to the Riftwalkers, even they started to question the unhinged behavior that Elijah was giving off. It was then that Finn knew he had to end it, one way or another. Maybe an honorable death for the ram or removing his power, he would end this war before it began.

Cracking his fingers, Finn felt the electricity travel between his joints seemingly creating a thunder like noise. Walking forward, Finn watched as Twilight took charge of the situation. The shark put his hands forward and as they clapped, one large blue blast formed and deflected the ram’s blast to the sky, probably on its way to knock a satellite out of the sky.

Twilight was knocked to the ground, and as he landed on the ground all the Kagens stopped and all turned towards him. Twilight’s eyes lay open, his mouth hung open and his pulse stopping as he stood their dying. The Kagens didn’t move, seemingly waiting for something to happen.

“What are you waiting for? Your leader is dying, go help him!” Finn yelled as the Kagens seemingly looked at Elijah, both of them staying still and looking at Twilight. Suddenly an orange glow started on his body, like little fireflies inside his body traveling around his body. Elijah stayed back seemingly knowing that something was happening.

“The Kagen sacrament of Regeneration; a most sacred occasion to be viewed by those lucky enough to strike a kill on all but the twelve-times reborn.” Bright said as he stepped forward and made himself known to Finn. Elijah stood still, Finn wondered why the Riftwalker didn’t strike the Kagen in his weakest state. “Any who sees it should be smart enough to know not to risk striking.”

Suddenly from Twilight’s hands and head glowed as three pillars of fire blasted into the sky, creating a fire storm above them. The Kagen’s face shifted as regeneration flooded the atmosphere around and his entire body. The metamorphosis had begun. Melting like wax, Twilight’s face seemingly reorganized itself and a new person was born. The orange glow stopped and once again rain fell over Twilight’s body.

Finn saw the Kagens they were running, if the Kagens were gone and the Riftwalker’s warrior knocked out, then they might retreat. The war would be over before it began and peace would return to the city. Finn ran forward and grabbed all the static electricity from the air. Shinesparking forward, he grabbed back on to Elijah’s back and as the rain fell on them, Finn started to shock him once again.

Elijah screamed Finn knew that he was doing something right. Twilight stood up and Bright helped him up as the Kagens behind them started to retreat back to the forest. Elijah backed up and was unable to place his attention on the Kagens as Finn distracted him. Yet Finn’s electricity storage was slowly draining out.

And a miracle happened; a series of thunderstrikes lit up the airport in twilight and as one would guess Finn was struck. The shark screamed as the jolt of static hit him, he absorbed and gave it back to Elijah. Both the Riftwalker and the Outsider screamed as the prolonged thunder strike transferred electricity.

And then as the Kagens disappeared into the forest, Elijah fell to the ground, the large Riftwalker shrinking as his seemingly stable fusion destabilized and he reverted back to his normal form. Finn rolled off Elijah and saw that the Riftwalker was out. Bright appeared with his sword, and Finn nodded to him. And with that Elijah disappeared too. And seemingly in peace Finn closed his eyes.

Finn laughed as Isaac feed him a peace of the celebratory cake, it was his celebration, and they had averted war, they had reason to be happy and plus who didn’t want a party. Yet he and Isaac seemed to be the only one partying. Ross and Erick seemed to be frozen in place, both of them having multiple broken bones.

They stood still nibbling on their cake as they tried to manage their injuries, meanwhile Iren didn’t even arrive seemingly she was ignoring them for the time, but time would heal everything as it does. Finn kissed Isaac as both of them shared their celebratory cake both of them laughing as they celebrated war not happening, glorious endings. Maybe they could chase peace now.

Of course in the game of life, everything had been building up to that. Maybe if their life were a board game then perhaps, it would appear to be a singular path, the only one you could take in order to get into that one situation. Of course that would be wrong, maybe different paths would end in the same situation everything the same but different memories. Think of when the universe was created, all the chemicals and properties that had to be established and gathered in order for multiple complex molecules to exist.

Yet still the Outsiders still fight, every day they fight while the nanobots push against them and the Kagens and the Riftwalkers keep pushing their attention and attempt to gain one up on each other. Peace would be established but for who knows how long it would stay like that, or not. Maybe peace would keep its foundation for one month, or three days before it broke down again and then war was threatened again, but then that was how it always went. Sometimes things happened like they were supposed to and then sometimes the car of life took a dive off the road and drove through the corn.

Still life happened on Tau Ceti in some universes, a star light years away from Earth, it just so managed that life had been established their as well. How random would it have been that life was just established there or was it not random instead did electromagnetic differences pull just a molecule mover enough that the chemicals for life gathered on that star instead of ours. Is the universe random chance, seemingly endless combination of molecules knocking off each other and combining with each other?

“I’m not sure but if over the years that I’ve existed and seen this planet, there is one thing that I am most sure of…” Flashpoint and Frostbite bowed before their master, seeing the silhouette on screen, one fin on the shadows head wobbling back and forth. And then seemingly as a sharky smile appeared on his face, he spoke the eternal words. “Everything happens for a reason.”

Suddenly the door to the Outsider base swung open, everyone turned towards the door as the tiger, and then Iren walked in the brightly lit base. Finn watched as she walked in, closing the door behind her. She had a frown on her face and that look of dread Finn hated. She walked forward, seemingly holding a hand on her stomach as if she was trying to hold in puke.

She walked forward saying nothing as Finn watched her and suddenly she just started to laugh, as if she knew something that Finn knew and it was funny and then looking up to Finn as she approached him, she smile at him. Finn looked at her and wondered why she was acting strange. And then she spoke.

“Well Finn, here’s some news for you; you’re the father of my baby.”
