Demons of a Scarlet Throne
"Sheba ma'am you must get up at once the king is back and would like to see you." Said Ria her chamber maid
Sheba rose and stretched looking at Ria then saying "Ok Ria thank you be sure to tell him I'll be joining him and Queen Reisa as soon as I can."
"Right away ma'am." Said Ria walking out quickly with a quick curtsy
Sheba smiled and walked over to her balcony overlooking the city. She still didn't like the city much but it was refreshing in the morning walking out into the bright sun letting it warm your fur. She closed her eyes and leaned on the banister amazed that she has come from a place like this. It had only been a couple of days since she was taken to the palace that over looked the city. The queen told her that she would have to meet with her mate the king of all the connected worlds but he was out visiting a far off world at the moment and wouldn't be back for a few days.
So they had her wait in a nice room that was said to be hers when she was a pup, and get to know that world they were in now. She heard many stories about how they had been taken when they were pups and how it was the one called Drako_Lupus. But no one seemed to know anything else about what happened. It all seemed to be some kind of story that was rehearsed over and over until they got it right. On top of that she still had to find Tella and Art and let them know about Talon being back. But she knew that she had too shake off the Queen and her followers as soon as she could. She had tried to Teleport out once but for some reason it didn't work in the castle walls.
When she asked the Queen about it she just smiled and said "It's just the barrier we have up to keep the riff raff out you know." But Sheba couldn't think what they would need to keep out when the palace was guarded better than a military base Sheba had seen on earth. Something was going on and she knew it.
"I guess I have to play this game until I know what my next move is. I'm sure Tella and Art are fine. I only sent them to the bottom level." Said Sheba walking back into her room and dressing into her normal pants and a tight shirt. The Queen had said that she wore commoners cloths but she liked it a lot more than what the Queen wanted her to put on.
When she was done she walked up to door and opened it finding Ria waiting. The little mouse girl turned around quickly and said "Ma'am are you ready to see the King yet?"
"I am Ria take me to him please and also try and lighten up I'm not like the others you know I'm quite a nice person." Said Sheba
She still looked scared as she turned slowly and started to walk. After a few steps Ria said quietly "That's not what I was told."
Sheba frowned and stopped "What did you say?"
Ria stopped too, starting to shake "Sorry miss I didn't mean to speak when I shouldn't have."
Sheba put a gentle hand on Ria and said "Ria I'm not a bad person so please tell me what has you so scared. I haven't ever given you even a cross look."
"You promise not to say anything?" said Ria
"I do."
She shook harder, looked around, then said "A Dark Wolf that keeps a hooded cloak on at all times and works for the King came to me once and said that I must fear you. He said that you had evil power to take over the minds of the weak and you would kill them if they didn't do as you asked. I wasn't sure what to think at first until he told me your past was filled with death alone with your brother and that betrayer Dante....I mean Drako_Lupus."
Sheba looked a little shocked then whispered "Ria I don't want you to fear me please...but he was right I used to have great evil in my heart but that was many years passed and yes I did kill many things that didn't need to be killed but now I am trying to make myself better in the eyes of Drako_Lupus who is the War God to my people. But why did you say Dante before who is he?"
"Dante is Drako_Lupus's Real name the one he had before he ran off over 500 years ago more like 800 I think. We are told two stories as children one is the one you hear and the other is the truth. The True one is much harder to explain ma'am and I don't know it all. But I can tell you this...The King knows more than he will let on. Please if you have a soul and are speaking the truth please help me get out of here. I have two sisters who need me and the king will have me killed as soon as he can if he knew what I said to you." Said Ria shaking much worse than before
Sheba looked a little shocked but managed to get to her feet and say "Ria I will find my own way, go wait in your room until tonight. I'll help you get out of here then ok."
Ria looked scared and backed up a bit saying "I am not sure ma'am. How do I know I can trust you."
"You don't, But I'm all you have." Said Sheba turning and walking away before Ria could say anything else
She moved quickly down the hall knowing what she had to do now and hoping she could pull it off. She didn't hate the royal family really but they did strike her as hiding something. Ever since she had came to the royal family castle she felt a chill run down her spine. In over eight hundred years of living in different bodies and seeing many different lives she knew when to listen to feelings like that. It was time to find out what was really going on.
She walked slowly into the throne room taking a moment to take in the place. But all she saw in the large room was bright light from windows that went from the floor to the ceiling, a large marble floor, and a beautiful large red and black throne at the end of the room. Sitting on it was King Reith, he was a large intelligent looking tiger. He had blood red fur with black strips, dark green eyes, and long white hair.
"Ah Sheba as I'm told you call yourself it's nice to meet you at last. I'm King Reith." Said the king standing up
Sheba gave a quick bow then walked closer to the king saying "I was told you wanted to meet with me so here I am. Now maybe you can tell me why I'm here and when I can go out looking for a friend of mine."
He smiled and sat back down saying "My wife said you were funny. Miss I don't know why you call yourself Sheba and I don't really care as long as you don't do so in my kingdom. We banned that name for a reason and there is no way you can be the former Princess."
"I never said I was; it was your police and others who said it not me. I was just lost in a city when they took me to that police station." Said Sheba
His smile never left his face as he said "It's nice to see you aren't here to say you have some calm over my throne. You see you're not the first one to show up here telling me they are Sheba or Talon wanting to take over my kingdom or throne. But I always make sure to take care of them, if you know what I'm saying."
"I take it you want to kill me don't you sire."
"You are a smart female then, that's good. I guess I won't have to keep up with this small talk then." Said The King snapping his fingers
Four tall knights walked in blocking the doors. Sheba didn't move but smiled back at the king and said "Well King Reith I guess I won't be able to tell you about an enemy of yours. I'm sure that Drako_Lupus or as you know him from your stories Dante, will be sure to come by when he finds out you killed me."
The King's face lost its smile quickly and he put a hand up to stop the knights then said "How do you know his name? No one outside of the palace knows his true name."
"I know him personally sire how do you think I got here? As I said I don't know if I'm this Sheba that was once a princess here but I do know that I have a bother named Talon and I'm quite old. You see king I really don't plan on being killed today or anytime soon." Said Sheba
"You'll die here and now." Yelled the King and at that the four knights move toward her pulling out swords
Sheba only smiled here eyes going red. All four knights stopped in their tracks their weapons inches from her face. The knights all lowered their weapons and kneeled before her their heads bowed low. She put a hand on their heads then said softly "How I miss that feeling, the feeling of having full control over a weak mind."
"Kill her, Kill her now." Yelled the King
"They won't listen to you Reith they are long gone now stuck in my power. I will admit it's hard to hold them with that power blocker you have up and it keeps me from Teleporting out or taking over your mind but I am much stronger than you thought so taking over their minds was not too hard." Said Sheba
"What shall you have us do ma'am." Said one of the knights
"Kill yourselves." Said Sheba and without blinking they each pulled a blade from their sides and plunged them into their chests. Their bodies hit the ground hard and blood started to pool under them.
The king looked shocked but he didn't yell for help or even run for his life. He just smiled again saying "I wasn't expecting that but I guess that's what I get for trying to play this game the way I did." He clapped this time looking smug as he leaned to one side of his Throne.
Sheba was about to say something when all of a sudden there was a flash of black light and a hooded form stood at the kings side. Sheba backed up at the surprise because that power used to Teleport into the room was just like hers only the light was different.
"What is going on?"
The hooded form pulled his hood down reviling the face of a tall black wolf. He smiled and said in his dark voice "Sister I told you I would see you soon. What was that you said a few moments ago about not dying today?"
Art, Tella, and Ryan all stood just under some bars that led them to the top level that came out near the castle. They had planed quickly for this and they knew it wasn't the best idea to move so quickly, but after the destruction of part of their hide-out they knew they had too. Tella was still shocked to find out that Ryan was really the former prince. His father had led the kingdom before the king that was in power now who had been adopted when he was found on the king's Door step many years ago.
According to Ryan his Grandfather and Grandmother (The late King and Queen) had taken the child in when the priestess named Eskey had said the Child held great power in him. The Royal blood line had to have power to rule and so he was taken into the family. Ryan's father was a bit older and loved his baby tiger bother. Even though they weren't blood related or even of the same spices. The two got along like all brothers should did only a bit closer.
Ryan's Father, The Late King Chorales and his Brother known at the time as Prince Reith had worked well all the way to adult hood and Reith had stood as best man when Chorales got married. Chorales had done the same when Reith married his Wolf wife Riesa. To everyone the family looked happy. But Ryan said that his Uncle had decided to go look into a new world that was said to once be part of one of the oldest races known to them but who had died out.
It was from that day on that Reith has started to act strange. Chorales and Reith started to drift apart fighting every other day. Soon Reith started to say that he should be the king and not his older brother. Not long after that the King and Queen went off to see their people where an assassin had killed them then himself in front of hundreds of people. Ryan was only 6 when this happened and his uncle took over the throne and title as king. Ryan was supposed to take over when he came of age at 16 but right before his birthday he had gotten drunk and when he woke he found two dead females in his room.
The police had been called and a trial was held. Ryan had been put to death by the judge but the day before his execution his Aunt the queen had pardoned him and taken his title as Prince banishing him from the lands. Ryan said to this day that he didn't kill the two females and it must have been a set up by his uncle the king. So here he was now a few years later helping the Rebel group take down his family.
Tella had been a bit shocked to find out he was a prince and even more that he had almost been executed. But she really liked him and could tell he was a good person. The plan was then set and it was really a simple one. They set it up so that a lot of the lowest level residents would be let into the top levels and start a riot. While this happened the Rebel's would attack the castle. Today was the most important too, today the guard was light because it was some kind of holiday and not everyone had to work.
"Tella are you ready for this. Remember we need you and Art to be our strength here." Said Ryan sitting next to the large bars
"We will be ready." Said Tella looking into his Beautiful eyes
"I'm Ready....I will show them how powerful I can be." Said Art having a hard time moving in the tunnel
"Are you sure you can handle this Arty?" asked Tella putting a hand on his snout
"I...was born...Ready." He said
"Art make sure you keep your temper in check ok we can't have you killing us all in a fit of rage like last time." Said Ryan softly as a guard walked by only a few feet away
"I'll be good." He whispered back
Ryan looked down at a watch then said "Ok it should be starting right...about...Now."
As he said "now" there was a loud noise from far off. The guards they could see all looked toward it then a call came in on their radios and they ran off. Tella smiled and put her hands on the large bars keeping them out of the upper level. She pushed hard and the round bar door went flying with a crash.
"NOW IS THE DAY WE TAKE BACK WHAT'S OURS.....CHARGE!" yelled Ryan running out from the tunnel followed by Tella, Art, and Over a hundred other fur's
The castle gates stood in front of them, the large wood doors shut tight. Two Guards from the top of the wall pointed large guns at them and started to fire. Art jumped into the air and breathed fire onto wall making the fur's run for their lives. Tella smiled then walked up to the large doors. She drew back her arm then punched the door hard.
For a moment nothing seemed to happen then there was a loud boom one of the doors fell back crashing to the ground hard. They all cheered and ran into to the castle's court yard. A few guards where there, ready to fire their weapons but Art once again laid fire to the ground giving off a mighty Roar even for a dragon of his size. Some of the Guards dropped their weapons and ran while others fought back until they were taken down.
"This is way too easy." Said Ryan stopping before the doors to the castle
"I agree." Said Tella
Right as she spoke there was a boom from behind them. They both turned to see Jack standing there his arms crossed and his eyes filled with rage. Ryan moved forward and growled "Jack you fucking ass hole."
"Now now Ryan such language from the young former prince." Said the anthro dragon
"Tella you get inside with the others and Art and take care of my uncle I'll deal with Jack here." Said Ryan his hands starting to smoke as flames grew.
"Ryan he could kill you." Said Tella
"Don't worry I know how to take him down. He is an ice dragon and fire is his enemy. I can deal with him now get inside that is an order."
She took one last look at them then said "You better come back alive."
"I promise." Said Ryan
Tella, Art, and the others ran into the castle and Ryan stood there looking into the face of his former friend. He growled then yelled, his body starting on fire, waves of heat pulsed off his body burning the ground under and around him. Jack smiled and let out a long breath saying "Let's do this old friend."
"You'll pay for what you did." Said Ryan and he ran at the dragon...
"Talon what are you doing here?" asked Sheba backing up some
Talon smiled and pulled off the clock standing there in only his pants. His body had many small scars on it from the many battles he had been in over his life. For some reason that was one thing he could never get rid of even though he hadn't had his own body until a little while ago. His body was really buff and she could see he now had Long silver hair that fell to his mid-back that he kept braided. His blood red eyes still looked just like hers, the only difference was that his didn't hold any kindness in them at all.
"Sheba you still make me laugh when I see that confused face. You always think you're in charge and in control of everything in your life but when you realize there is something you didn't see coming then you get that look I love so much." Said Talon smiling
"You don't scare me Talon."
"Whoever said I wanted to scare you sister. I'm here to help the dear king with is little problem he is having with some rebels in the area and a couple of his worlds." Said Talon
"I don't understand how did you get to this world in the first place?"
Talon laughed then said "That is an easy one. You know that Fox you know...what was his name again....Nik or something like that."
"What did you do to him?!" yelled Sheba
"Quiet now sister let me tell my story." Said Talon "Well you see after that fight with Chaos and Drako and all of that bother I found myself once again lost in my spirit form. Only this time I was alone and my mind freed from that damned monster who made me do what he wanted. I knew that this time I couldn't go back to Earth and try to take you all on again. Drako was to powerful and at the time I didn't know where Chaos was. So I looked through the spirit world to find a new land."
Sheba growled a bit but let him keep talking "I found an old...well rip in the spirit world that took me to a forgotten land. This place was mostly destroyed and the world itself was starting to fall apart. But when I arrived I found that I had my body back only this time I was in a different form. It took me a while to get used to it, but once I did I went looking for any sign of life. I found that there was only one left and it was an old Raccoon with blue fur and some kind of odd Tattoo's on his back."
"What does this have to do with Nik?" asked Sheba
"I'm getting to it." Said Talon "Well this Raccoon told me there had been a war between his people where the Red's and the Blue's fought each other until there worlds were destroyed many years ago. He was old and told me he was not even born when it happened but his family never would leave the dying world. I asked him how he could do such a thing and he told me of a gift most of his people had to travel between different worlds. I wanted this power so I Killed the old Raccoon and took his power to move between worlds. I tried it out and ended up in a different land. The place is where you met that Dragon named Art. I watched as you fought and won against others of the same color as the fox you were with and that raccoon I had killed. I didn't feel like fighting with you at the time so I traveled on and found myself here."
"So you still have your power to steal the powers of others then." Said Sheba growling
"Well kind of. You see before all I had to do was beat them in a fight of some kind but now I have to take it from there dead bodies. In other words I need to kill them for their gifts." Said Talon with an evil smile
"I still don't understand why you would help anyone Talon. What do you owe this king?" said Sheba
"I never said I owed him anything I was just enjoying being home again was all. When I heard the stories of this place I was not socked but happy to find myself here. I will say that being the ruler of such a land like this would be wonderful." Said Talon
King Reith stood up and said "What are you talking about Talon I thought we worked this out. I'm the king and you will do as I ask as long as I let you do what you please here."
Talon turned and smiled "Tell me king, you are one of those people too aren't you the ones who were at war and helped make the worlds many years back like the blue Raccoon and that Nik. Only you're from the other side, your one of the Crim's."
"I am what of it."
"So tell me what is your power then; I really kind of want to know."
"I have the power to control anything metallic." Said the king moving his hand and making a sword hover in the air
Talon's face looked a bit bummed as he said "There is no need to take your power then. It a boring one and I really don't need something like that."
"What do you mean? My power is great I can move any kind of metallic thing I want!" Yelled the king
"Yes I know I know but I have many different powers Sire and all of them are much more powerful than yours so consider yourself lucky." Said Talon turning to face Sheba again
Sheba stood there looking at the king raging but keeping quiet as she watched them. She didn't understand how the king could use his power like that when he was weaker than her and Talon and the barrier was up. She then saw that next to him was some kind of device that gave off a green light. At the moment it didn't seem to be on as the king kept the sword in the air. She then realized that she could feel her power's again and she smiled.
"Sorry Sire but you see I kind of need my powers to fight my bother and seeing how that thing next to you seems to be controlling the barrier I think you should destroy it." Said Sheba her eyes glowing red
Talon growled at her but it was too late. The king's eyes had a red tint to them now and with a twist of his hand the floating sword flew into the green object. It sparked and then with a boom it exploded. Talon's growl grew louder and he jumped at his sister who vanished in a flash of green.
"You fool do you know what you did. That barrier was keeping our powers back there is something about the castle that makes us go crazy."
"You're already crazy Talon so I'm sure you won't notice a different. I have to get out of here to find my friends I'll deal with you later." Said Sheba who was now standing by the door
There was a boom from outside and both Sheba and Talon looked out the large windows. They saw one of the doors to the castle court yard fall to the ground and a bunch of furs running in fighting the guards. Sheba saw Art shooting fire and Tella Running with a Red Wolf.
"Well looks like I don't have to look anymore for my friends." Said Sheba
"No not now this can't happen now." Said Talon and Sheba looked over at him
What she saw made her shake. Her brother was stiff his body looked like it was in a lot of pain. His eyes were glowing blue and his body seemed to be changing. Spikes pocked out from his head, a white stripe showed up on his fur going from his head to the tip of his tail, His claws grew longer than normal, and his fangs were poking out form his muzzle now.
"You did it now sister now you'll die here and now." Said Talon his voice sounded Demonic
She was about to say something but Talon shot a blast of red light at her much like Bain's power. She was able to teleport out of the way in time but instead of going to where Tella and Art were she just showed up behind Talon. Something was holding her back. She jumped again as a blast of fire came at her. The king was yelling and hid behind his throne.
Sheba tried to take hold of Talon's Mind but he was to powerful and he pushed her away with his own. It seemed he had grown strong in the last few months. She jumped and teleported again and again trying to stay out of the way of his blasts. As he fought her Talon never let the faint smile leave his face finding it slightly amusing to see his sister dodge over and over again.
Sheba didn't know what to do, She had a feeling that something was keeping her from leaving the room. The more she thought about it the more it made sense that it was one of Talon's Powers that was doing it. But that was the least of her worries at the moment. What she had to worry about was what seemed to be wrong with her brother and on top of that something seemed to be growing inside her own body. It was odd and she couldn't seem to fight the urge to let it grow.
As this ran through her head she kept doing what she could to dodge the blasts coming from her brother. His face didn't look happy anymore as his grin turned into a snarl. He yelled and vanished then reappeared next to Sheba. He made a fist and tried to hit her but Sheba was able to dodge the attack in the nick of time. Talons Fist ended up hitting a stone pillar and with a loud crack and a boom a chunk of it went flying across the room.
Sheba appeared on the other side of the room growling at her brother. She felt the power in her grow again but she held it back not sure what was going on. Then the doors next to Talon opened reviling Tella and Art. The two of them ran into the room taking in the scene as quickly as they could. But nothing made a bit of sense to them. All they saw was Talon, Sheba, and the King in the room and lots of Damage from what looked like a great fight.
"Well sister if I can't get you then I'll take Drako's Daughter." Said Talon turning to face her
He raised his hand and pointed it at Tella and in a flash of bright red light she went flying across the room and was thrown through the hard stone wall. Sheba saw it in slow motion as she tried to teleport her out of the way but she was too late. She could see Tella's Body hit the ground and skip across the ground out of the window. Art just stood there frozen by fear as Talon slowly walked toward him saying "Finally Artalay it's time."
Sheba could feel the hot tears running down her face giving her beautiful face fur a damp look. She knew that no one could survive an attack that powerful. She couldn't take it anymore, The way she had feared her brother and his evil for so many years. Now he had killed one of the only fur's she had ever cared about. She screamed and let out the raging power in her. A blast of energy shot through the room and Sheba started to change.
Her body grew a bit, black stripped markings showed up down her back, Horns grew on her head and her eyes turned a black-red color. She then spoke in a voice like Talon's Full of Demonic Power "This is the last time you'll ever hurt someone I love." And she vanished
She moved so quick that Talon didn't even have time to dodge the attack. Her fist met with the side of his head and sent him flying through the air. She didn't stop to see if he would get up or not she continued to beat on him blow after mighty blow. Talon after a second was able to counter one of her attacks with one of his own. The two of them fought and small blasts of energy filled the air cracking stone under their feet, braking glass, and sending a powerful shock wave through the others bodies.
To anyone else it would have looked like two demons from hell had come up to fight there war but only in this large throne room. With every punch, kick, bite, or power attack it looked like one would kill the other but no, Both kept at it blow after blow. As they fought the fight in the ground seemed to be winding down as the Resistance was able to hold back the guards and police.
All of this was nothing but noise to Art who was still standing in his original spot looking at where Tella had been thrown through the wall. He only jumped a bit when the king walked up to him trying to keep away from Sheba and Talon as they fought. He looked up into Art's Face and said "So you're the dragon that my masters have waned for so long. I didn't expect you to be so young."
Art didn't look away from the hole in the wall but did say "What does it matter what you want or your master. Tella is dead.....she died and its all due to you."
"Forget her Artalay, You are here for a reason you know and I can help you fulfill that destiny. Forget the bitch, your powerful and don't need to be around riff raff like them." Said the King
As he said the last few words about Tella something inside Art snapped. His pupils turned to slits and he saw red. Once again the blue light surrounded his body and he started to grow and age. Only this time it was much faster than before. It seemed like he had aged over 200 years for he now was the size of a full grown dragon. If the Throne room wasn't so big he would have smashed it open. At the sight of the growing dragon Talon stopped fighting his sister to look at the large beast.
"Now that is power." Said Talon his markings going away and he seemed to go back to normal
Sheba on the other had was still in a rage and she screamed and attacked the first thing she could and that was the large dragon. But all that happened was she bounced off his body like a fly hitting a wall. He turned his head and roared at her a blue light enveloping her. In a split second she too went back to normal then passed out. Art then turned his sights on Talon and he growled.
"You killed her. I'll kill you for killing her." Roared Art
"I see I'll need to re think my plans with you Artalay. I can see you are much more powerful than I thought and my buyer didn't pay me for this." Said Talon then he turned and bowed to the king "Have a nice life Sire it was a joy to play in your kingdom."
"YOU WON'T LEAVE HERE ALIVE!" yelled Art but before he could even blink Talon was gone through a black portal
Art's rage was growing still and he swished his tail back hard taking out part of the wall to the outside behind him. He rounded on the King and gave a loud growl his head was bigger than three of the King put into one making the King shake with fear. With Talon gone he didn't know what he could do. So he just back up a bit and said "Now just calm down Artalay and maybe we can work this out. I'm sure I can help you find your real family."
"My name is Art not Artalay and I am with my family, or I was until you took the monster Talon into your kingdom and he killed her." Yelled Art
But right then Tella ran into the room only a little bit of blood on her from hitting the wall. She was accompanied by Ryan who had taken down the other Dragon when he saw Tella fly through the wall. Right then Sheba started to wake up and she looked up and took it all in. She looked at Tella then said "How did you live."
"Super Strength I think also means my body is tough too." Said Tella looking at Art then she Yelled "Art calm down I'm ok."
But it was too late, Art's mind was already clouded and all he could see was red and the fur in front of him shaking and begging for his life. Art smiled then said "You'll Die for killing her." And before Sheba, Ryan, or Tella could stop him he fired a long blue energy blast at the king.
For a moment it seemed that nothing was going to happened. Then the King started to Scream. It started slowly with his Body fur turning grey, then his skin started to sage, cataracts covered his eyes, then slowly his body aged more and more until he turned to dust in the glow of the beam. Then he turned his head to Ryan and he yelled "You! I know you would be back to take her away from me again." And he opened his mouth
This time Tella ran forward and using all of the strength she could she took hold of his jaws and forced them closed. Then she looked into his eyes and yelled "Art I'm ok please CALM DOWN!"
Then like that everything stopped. There was another flash of blue and Art was there back in his normal body and he was looking at Tella. A Tear was in his eye as he said "You're ok?"
"I'm fine."
"Thank goodness." He said then collapsed
It was all over and two weeks later Ryan was being put in as the new King of the worlds. Oddly Queen Reisa seemed to have vanished after the battle started. Some people said she was hiding, others said that Prince Ryan or now King Ryan had her killed, and others said she left for a new life. It seemed that the world here would start to go back on track.
Right after the battle Eskey came to Sheba and had a word with her saying "The reason you transformed into that Demon and so did your Brother was because you are both the true blood line descendants of the Scarlet Throne.
