Julie Ann isn't having a normal day. Written 2014.

Julie Ann found a parking place under a light pole and walked into the store. She headed straight for the manager's office, but before she could knock the girl behind the first register held up her hands, "I wouldn't."

She waved her over and held a finger to her lips.

A booming voice faintly escaped the walls, "This has nothing to do with Belle. You didn't show up for work for three days and you don't show up on time when you do. I don't know what's going on between you two, but that's between you and her. This is between you and me and my solution is to stop relying on you. Take your final paycheck and leave."

Another voice escaped the room, screaming, but faint, "You ass, you think I care about that pussy you keep upstairs? She's just a toy and you're a tool. I'll find some other way to get my money and have my fun and you can just go fuck her yourself."

Silence, then an exasperated scream and the door flung open. Randy came storming out and saw Julie Ann behind the register, "You fucking bitch! Are you taking my job, too?"

She looked to the office and Mr Miller was filling the door. She left the store with a shout, "FINE!"

Mr Miller looked to Julie Ann, "Looks like you've got some bad timing. Come on in."

She followed him into the office and let him sit down, "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to cause any problems."

He leaned on his desk with a sigh, "Oh, you didn't cause any. I made them for myself. I should have gotten rid of her a while ago, but I put up with her coming in late because she made Belle happy. I just can't have people not showing up at all. It makes things much harder on those that do. I'm sorry. You're not here to listen to me rant. Go on up, she should be there."

She wanted to say something comforting, but didn't know what, so she quietly went up the stairs.

She knocked on the door and a moment later, Belle opened it with a smile, wearing a knee length, dark blue skirt and a loose, white blouse, "Come in!"

Julie Ann stepped inside, examining her friend's outfit, "You're wearing clothes."

The cat closed the door and twirled around, "You like them? I thought I would wear something, so you could be more comfortable this time."

"You look nice, but you didn't have to dress so fancy just for me."

"Really? I'd be much more comfortable taking them off."

"Um," she wasn't quite sure what would be polite or rude in this situation. She didn't want to tell her friend to be uncomfortable for her sake, but she didn't want to tell her to take her clothes off, "Why don't you wait a little bit, so I can relax some."

"Oh that's fine. These aren't the most uncomfortable clothes I have to wear. My work clothes are pretty bad, but Mr Miller doesn't want to make an exception just for me. He says uncomfortable clothes are a small sacrifice for getting things we really want. Like the ones he wore when he married my mother. I'm glad he thinks she was worth it. I like having him as my dad."

Julie Ann smiled, "I think that's the first time I've heard you call him your dad."

"Well, he is, but it seems like such a casual thing to call him and he's a man that deserves a lot of respect."

"I believe that, but I think he would appreciate you calling him dad sometime, outside of work, of course."

The cat shrugged, "I'll think about it. Come on have a seat. I don't want to stand around, unless you want to dance. I could put on some music."

"No. I'm not in the mood for dancing," Julie Ann sat down at the little table and Belle joined her.

"So, what's wrong?"

"You first." She wasn't quite ready to confide in her internet friend in person, yet, "What happened with Randy?"

"Oh, I told her I didn't like how she treated you and she got upset."

"Why would she get upset with you?"

"I think she was feeling a little jealous. She ranted a bit about me trying to replace her, but I told her again that you aren't interested in females, that you've got your rabbit."

"And that calmed her down?"

"Not really. She told me I shouldn't see you again, but I told her that was a selfish demand."

"She sounds kind of dangerous."

"She didn't hit me very hard and she left when she realized she had done it."

Julie Ann was shocked, "She hit you?! Why didn't you say something?"

"She didn't mean it and she apologized when she came back. She said we're okay now, but she wants some time to herself."

"Belle, are you listening to yourself? These are the warning signs they taught us in school of an abusive relationship. She even got angry and hit you."

"No, she's not abusive. It was just this one time. You have to be able to forgive to make a relationship work."

"When is the last time you left the store?"

"Its not exactly safe out there for me."

"What do you do with her?"

"We fool around, play with our toys, wrestle, you know."

"Do you do anything other than sex?"

"Well, she doesn't like games and she's not much of a talker. When we try to watch a movie, we usually end up fooling around," she thought for a moment, "No, its pretty much just sex, but its good," she smiled.

"And how many times has she made you fool around when you didn't want to?"

"Oh, I always like it."

"That's not what I asked. Monday, you were talking with me and she pulled you away to have sex right in front of me. Is that what you wanted?"

"Well no, but I thought... I'm sorry. It sounded better at the time."

"If she started fooling around downstairs, would you let her?"

"Well, she can be pretty insistent sometimes."

"With your father watching?"

Belle looked at her, fear creeping into her eyes, "He'd kill her."

"Why?"

She was sounding meeker, "Because its his store?"

"He could just throw her out or call the cops. He wouldn't kill her and lose his store for nothing."

She shrank in her seat and her ears drooped, "He would for me."

"Why?"

The cat leaned on her knees, her eyes filled with tears that wouldn't fall, and whispered, "because she was hurting me."

Julie Ann didn't like making her feline friend feel bad, but couldn't leave her at the bottom like that, "Was she hurting you?"

The feline's voice was barely audible as she softly sobbed into her lap, "yes."

Her human friend slid her chair closer and put her hand on her shoulder, gently trying to get her out of Randy's emotional cage, "Why did you let her?"

She stopped her crying and took a breath to think, then swallowed and looked up, "Because she loves me."

"That's not love. Someone that loves you cares about you and doesn't want to see you hurt. Mr Miller loves you."

The cat paused as an image of her father posing seductively slipped into her mind, "Um, ew?"

"He doesn't want to have sex with you because he loves you. He wants you to be happy. He kept Randy around because he thought she made you happy, but he just fired her."

"He what?" the cat looked terrified with her ears flat on her head, "I didn't want him to do that."

"Well, she stopped coming to work and was constantly late. It was finally too much."

"So, he didn't fire her because of me."

"He kept her for you, but made it clear that you had nothing to do with him firing her."

"You were there?"

"I heard them through the wall."

She gave a weak laugh as she wiped tears from her fur, "He can get loud sometimes."

"So can she. She saw me when she left and started yelling at me, but your dad was there."

Belle slid forward and put her paws on Julie Ann's knees, "Oh, I'm so sorry. She didn't hit you, did she?"

"No and you shouldn't let her hit you anymore, either, but the one you should be apologizing to," she slid out of the chair to squat in front of her friend and push the cat's paws to her chest, "is yourself."

Belle sighed, "I really thought she cared about me, but you've been much nicer to me and you're just a friend. You're an amazing friend."

Julie Ann smiled and put her hand on the cat's shoulder, stroking soothingly, "You've listened to my problems enough, I can be here for you and yours."

Belle closed her eyes and started to softly purr.

Julie Ann couldn't help but chuckle thinking how much like a normal housecat this big morph was.

Belle straightened herself up suddenly and brushed tears from her fur, "Oh, I'm a mess. Let me get cleaned up." She got up and hurried to the kitchen to grab a towel and dry her face.

Julie Ann slid into the recently vacated chair and leaned over the back, watching the cat and her long tail twitching behind her, "Does your tail ever get in the way?"

Belle twisted to look at it, then smiled, "All the time, but I'm used to it. I used to hate it, 'cause the other kids would pull it or step on it or worse, but now that I'm out of school, I've learned how to live with it and its me." She walked away from the kitchen and stood by the bed to pose and swish her tail.

"It certainly is."

"Oh, I got spots on my blouse. Do you mind if I take it off now?" The cat was looking at her friend with pleading eyes that did the job.

Julie Ann smiled, "Yes, I'm okay now. You can take it off."

Belle quickly unbuttoned it and slipped it off her shoulders, then spun around, looking for a place to put it. She decided on the back of the chair, then reached back to unbutton her skirt. She paused and looked to her friend again, "Can I...:?"

Julie Ann gave in resignedly, "Yes, you can take off your skirt, too."

Belle smiled and quickly slid it off, laying it over the blouse, then stood with her paws clasped in front of her, "Do I look okay?"

Julie Ann got up and put her hands on her feline friend's shoulders and tried to sound supportive, "You're a good looking cat."

"Then why do I need to wear clothes?"

She dropped her arms to look at her friend's naked, fur covered feline form and shrugged, "I guess folks around here just expect people to wear clothes and it makes them feel uncomfortable when they don't."

"So, I should wear clothes because I'm a person?"

She looked into the cat's eyes and smiled, "Yeah, you are a person."

Belle hugged her tight and she slid her fingers through the fur on the cat's back. It reminded her of Don, but a little coarser. She ran her fingers through it as they embraced and smiled as she heard the purr again.

The cat caught herself and pushed away, "So, what's up with you and Don?"

"Why don't you like to purr?"

"Don't change the subject. I talked first, now its your turn."

"Just one question, then I'll talk about Don."

"I got picked on for it, now spill," she gave her friend a stern glare.

"You shouldn't let that stop you. It means you're happy, right?" she reached up to pet the cat again, but Belle grabbed her wrists.

"Oh no you don't," she shoved her friend onto the bed.

Julie Ann gasped as she landed on her back, then gasped again as the cat pounced her and pinned her to the bed.

The naked cat straddled her friend and held her arms by her head, then leaned nose to nose, "Time to talk. What's going on with you and Don?"

"Some guys attacked us."

"What?!" she released her friend's arms, and sat up, "What happened?"

"They beat up Molly pretty bad, but Don stopped them and they started beating him up until he fought back."

"Who's Molly?"

"She's his golden retriever."

"Oh. Why would they beat up a dog?"

"I don't know. They were just bad people, but Don still refused to hurt them too bad."

"I hear so much that he's a good guy. I'd like to meet him someday."

"I think we can arrange that. Can you get off me now?"

"Not yet. You still have to tell me how things are going between you two."

Julie Ann sighed and put her hands on the cat's slender, furred thighs, "We're still struggling with our feelings for each other. This would be so much easier if nobody cared, we could just get married and live happily ever after."

"Why don't you just do it and deal with what comes after?"

"I'm starting to think that's how its going to be no matter when we do it, but it might be too late. He's scared to even let me touch him now. He ran off and didn't come back."

"I couldn't imagine that. I have to touch," She rubbed the human's smooth belly, then slid her paws up and around her breasts.

Julie Ann grabbed those wandering paws, "Hey, are you getting frisky with me?"

"Who me? I'm just touching. What are you afraid of?"

"You're not Don."

"I know and you're not interested, but I'm just touching, like you were just touching him when he ran away."

Julie Ann blushed and pressed the paws against her breasts as she thought about her mistake earlier, "Well, I was reaching for his ears."

"Oh, does he purr?"

"No, he's not a cat," she reached up to gently rub behind Belle's ear, forgetting the paws on her breasts.

The cat closed her eyes, letting herself enjoy it this time and a low rumbling purr escaped her throat. She leaned down and put her head on Julie Ann's shoulder, gently kneading the girl's breasts against her own.

Julie Ann relaxed to the soothing purr and massaging paws. She moved her fingers through the cat's fur, over her ears, head, neck, shoulders, back and sides. Her mind drifted to Don as she felt whiskered nuzzles on her neck. She wondered what would have happened if he had let her touch his ears...

As she ruffled the fur between the base of his ears, she realized where she was and froze. Don stared at her expectantly and she looked up at his long, beautiful ears. She slowly traced the edge of one with her fingers and he moaned softly. She stroked the back of the other and he squirmed in his seat. She glanced down and saw the huge tent in his pants, begging to be released. She crawled up and licked up the inside of his ear and his composure was lost. He stood up suddenly, taking her in his arms. His raging erection burst from his pants and pressed between her legs.

Belle nuzzled and kissed the girl's smooth neck as she felt her fingers exploring her fur and teasing her ears. She slid her paws from the girl's tender breasts, down her smooth belly, and undid the button of her jeans. She carefully opened the zipper and slipped her paw under the light cotton fabric underneath. Beyond a patch of curly fur, she found her prize and began to rub, softly, yet deliberately.

Don's breath was warm on her neck as she felt the pressure of his desire between her legs. She wanted to let him in. She wanted him inside her. She wanted him to kiss her.

Belle reached under a pillow and retrieved her faux feline friend and discretely slipped it into her own vacant vagina. She listened to the soft moans and heavy breathing from her frustrated friend. She lifted her head and found the trembling human lips she was looking for, then captured them in a kiss that was returned eagerly.

The door opened.

Julie Ann kissed her rabbit's lips passionately, trying to show him how much she desired him. She pushed her hips against his, begging him to take her. Finally, his driving shaft pierced her jeans and found its home, slipping into her pulsing pussy. She broke the kiss with a gasp and a cry, pulling his hips tighter against her own, wanting more of his throbbing desire.

Belle pushed into her friend's wet hole, rubbing all the places that made her moan, as she nuzzled and kissed her neck. She rocked her hips to the rhythm of the human's thrusts and felt the lion move inside her. She knew the girl must be nearing her peak, because she felt her own orgasm approaching.

The door closed.

Julie Ann froze as she heard the familiar low mrowl and it tore her out of her fantasy. She shivered as she felt the cat's finger teasing inside her, but fought the urge to give in to it, "Belle, please."

The cat was lost to her impulses, hearing only the pounding of her own heart in her ears as she reached her peak.

Julie Ann pushed Belle's shoulders up, trying to snap her out of it, but it was too late. She watched in awe as the cat stretched her neck and opened her mouth to release a passionate yowl that stuttered as her body quaked with waves of pleasure. Her teeth looked very feline, very sharp and very close.

As the sound of her orgasm faded, the cat sank limply onto her friend and rested her head on her partner's shoulder, smiling blissfully.

"Belle."

She opened her eyes and saw Julie Ann instead of Randy. Beyond her surprise, she smiled bigger, glad to have shared with her new friend and happy they were close.

"Belle..." she was still stunned and embarrassed by what had just happened; not sure what to say.

The cat stroked her friend's patch of fur, "Did you enjoy that as much as I did?"

"I..." she couldn't think of a polite way to say it, "No."

Belle pushed herself up, not wanting to leave her friend unfulfilled, and slid down her body. She pulled her jeans and panties down her thighs and nuzzled below the red tuft, "I can help you finish."

She reached desperately for the cat, "No, I don't want that."

"Are you sure?" she licked slowly up her sensitive open slit and over her clit.

Julie Ann gripped the sheets and arched her back, crying out as the bristly tongue sent waves of mixed pleasure and agitation through her body, "Belle, stop!"

The cat froze and slowly pulled her tongue in to close her mouth.

Julie Ann panted, afraid to move, remembering those sharp teeth, now so close to a very sensitive area. The cat's breath on her wet clit sent tingles of sensation arcing through her body, "I'm okay. I just don't want you to do that."

"What do you want me to do?"

"Just... Can't we watch a movie or something?"

Belle brightened, "Sure we can. What do you want to watch?"

Julie Ann held her breath as the cat crawled up her body to reach a shelf over her head. A wet section of fur between her legs highlighted her sex, just inches from the girl's face.

Belle rolled over and slid down beside her friend, jabbing at a tablet as a screen lit up at the foot of the bed, "So, we've got lots of choices. What are you in the mood to see?"

Julie Ann tried to compose herself and hide her discomfort, "No romance or drama, I'm living it. No action or horror, had enough of that today."

"Well, that leaves comedy. Do you want intellectual, casual, slapstick, mindless..."

"Just pick a casual one, something I don't have to think about or get sick of."

"Okay, how about Vital Boredom?"

"Fine," she didn't plan on actually watching it. She just needed a distraction so she could have some time to get her mind straight. She pulled up her pants and slid up the bed while Belle got comfortable beside her and started the movie. It was about a guy trying to relax for a bit, but an unbelievable onslaught of events demanded his attention. She could relate and yet, it was just uninteresting enough to let her think about other things.

Most pressing was what to do about Belle. She didn't want to hurt the cat's feelings or do something that would push her back to Randy, but she didn't want her trying to fool around with her like that anymore. Not that it was bad. When she thought it was Don, it felt great, but then she woke up. She just wasn't interested in the cat like that. Perhaps the best action would be none. No awkward explanation or painful drama, just ignore it and go back to being just a friend. She could continue to be supportive, but not become a substitute lover. Feeling satisfied that one issue was settled, she moved on as the guy in the movie ran from a pack of angry dogs.

What about Randy? She seemed very upset downstairs, no, upset was an understatement, and Belle said she hit her at least once. She could actually be dangerous. She had seen the short girl throw the larger cat roughly on the bed. She wondered if Belle would have been able to stop her even if she had tried. Would she cool down and leave Belle alone or might she come back? Would she have done something to Julie Ann's car in retaliation? If she did, she would definitely call the police, no matter what Belle said. She should probably call them, anyway, but what would she tell them? All she could really do at this point was try to convince Belle not to let her back in. She doubted she could convince her to call the police if Randy came back, but she would try suggesting it, at least. Settled on a plan, she took a deep breath and glanced at the cat beside her, who smiled back and idly batted at her own tail as the guy in the movie frantically drove through traffic with a menacing guy in the back seat pointing a gun at his head and police cars following close behind.

Now, what about Don? Belle was right. Things were never really going to get better around here for them. There would always be people that would disapprove and always people that would tell them so, with words or worse. They should just do what makes them happy. She wouldn't mind moving to Australia with him. Sure she'd miss her family, but she could always come back to visit. However, she knew Don wanted to be in America, quietly making a stand for morphs, and she agreed that it was a good thing to do, the right thing to do. So, why were they waiting? What's more normal than getting married and having kids? Maybe they didn't need to. Sure, they'd only known each other for about a month, but they were so... She couldn't think of a word more perfect than perfect. She would have to convince him, of course, but now she had her own feelings sorted out and had a good argument. She took a breath and smiled with another issue settled and hopes of a future with Don warming in her.

She looked at the movie again as the guy sat back in his lounge chair with a smile, but was then lit by a spotlight and rose into the air. He opened his eyes to find a pure white cat woman smiling enticingly at him. She purred and meowed at him, speaking an alien feline language. The subtitles spoke of her being the last of her kind and he was genetically compatible and her only hope to preserve her species. He tried to object and begged to go back to his yard, so he could enjoy what was left of his relaxing day off, but she ignored his pleas. Instead, she began to unwrap her prize and play with her unwilling toy.

Julie Ann began to wonder if Belle had picked a porno to spite her. She glanced at her feline friend and noticed her paw between her spread legs, gently rubbing as she stared at the screen. It was a beautiful white cat and she was wearing only her fur and some jewelry and moving seductively with the camera getting all the most suggestive angles, but not actually showing anything. The now familiar low mrowl began and Julie Ann realized it was coming from the cat in the movie, as well as the one beside her. She smirked to herself as she watched both cats work up to their orgasmic, stuttering yowl.

Something shot out from between Belle's legs and rolled to her feet. The cat gasped and slid up the bed in surprise, staring at the slender, yellow, nubbed, object, then started to laugh quietly and looked embarrassedly at her friend, "I... forgot that was in there."

"I guess you like that movie."

"Yeah, its kinda my favorite."

"She's a pretty cat."

Her ears turned red, "How did you know I wasn't looking at him?"

Julie Ann propped herself on her side as the credits scrolled by on the screen, "You seemed almost as disinterested as me, until he got beamed up to her ship."

"She is the most beautiful feline I have ever seen. I just love watching her movies."

"And this one has her in a sex scene."

Belle grabbed the control pad and excitedly poked at it, "There's a much better one for that. Wanna watch it?"

"Another time," She needed to get around to talking about Randy, "Did Randy ever get jealous of her?"

The cat's ears turned back and she focused on the pad, "I don't think she noticed. We were usually already fooling around by the time her scene came on. Randy's not much of a movie fan."

"What did you two have in common?"

"She loved me," Belle's smile fell as she saw Julie Ann's disapproving smirk, "Okay, the sex was good."

"Really? From what I could tell, you seemed to enjoy playing with yourself more than her."

Belle slowly raised her eyes to look meekly into her human friend's smoky green eyes, "I like being with you. You make me feel safe and comfortable and you don't even have to do anything to me to make me wet." She rolled closer and put her paw on the girl's chest.

Julie Ann wrapped her hand around the paw and held it, trying to think of how to get back to talking about Randy. She needed to convince the cat to not let her come back.

Belle sighed and looked down, "I know, you're not interested in me. You've got your rabbit and his penis. I'm just a female feline surrounded by humans. Nothing's gonna change and I'm gonna be stuck up here forever. At least Randy wants me."

She took her friend's furry chin and raised her gaze to meet her own, "Hey, she's not the only one. I want to keep you as a friend."

"A friend is one thing, but I don't want to be a lonely old cat lady."

"Robbie likes you."

"But he doesn't want me."

"Yes he does. He's just focusing on finishing school, without getting distracted."

"He never wants to hang out with me. Its always online, or passing through my line at the store."

"He probably doesn't think he could keep his hands off of you if he got close enough."

"Really?"

"You're the only girl he's shown any interest in at all. He doesn't need to drive all the way across town to your store to shop. Its his only excuse to see you that doesn't betray his secret love for you."

"Don't joke like that."

"I'm serious. I was talking with him the other day and he said so."

"No he didn't."

"Well, he said he 'might be interested later' which is more than I've heard him say about anybody, girl or guy."

"'Might.'"

"Like I said, he's focusing on getting his school done, so he can get away from this town."

"And away from me."

"He probably wants to take you with him; get you away from here."

"That might be nice. Maybe Pittsburgh, I hear they like morphs there."

"Or someplace even better."

"But how do I know for sure if he wants me?"

"Just trust me. Show some interest in him. Support and encourage him as he works on getting out. It'll give you things to talk about and maybe reasons to get together sometime."

Belle smiled dreamily, "I'd like that."

"And definitely send him a message tonight. He was getting worried and asked me if I knew you were okay."

"Yeah, I didn't want to tell him about what was happening with Randy. He was always so happy for me when I told him things were going well for us. Are you sure he wants me?"

"He cares about you and wants you to be happy. That's more than just wants you, he loves you."

"That's why I don't want to tell him what's going on."

"Let him comfort you. It'll bring you two closer and he can be happy being the one making you feel better."

"That makes sense. I didn't want to make him feel bad, but he makes me feel good."

"And he'll feel good that you feel good."

"Oh thank you!" She pounced Julie Ann and hugged her tight.

Julie Ann rubbed her feline friend's furry back and sighed. She hated putting Robbie in this position, but he needed to step up. Maybe admitting his feelings for the cat girl would give him even more motivation. Something to work towards, instead of away from.

Belle pulled back, then caught her friend's lips in a kiss, losing herself to the emotion of her thoughts.

Julie Ann pushed the cat's chest away, roughly breaking the kiss and was about to scold her, but she looked into those emotional eyes and decided to let her have one last kiss. She stretched her neck and gently kissed those feline lips.

Belle returned the kiss and tried to press their bodies back together, but Julie Ann pulled back again. She knew she was pushing too hard, "I'm sorry."

"Its okay. I let you have one more, because I thought you could use it. I'm gonna borrow your bathroom to get cleaned up before I go."

The cat rolled to her back and looked between her legs at the toy still sitting on the bed as Julie Ann got up, "I've never shot it out like that before."

"See, you're already enjoying yourself better without Randy."

The cat giggled and crawled forward to grab the lion dildo, "This little thing has always been my secret treasure. Its so much smaller than my others, but it always seems to work for me. Do you think I'll be able to enjoy Robbie's penis?"

Julie Ann stopped and leaned against the frame of the bathroom door, "I don't know. You'll have to give him a chance to find out."

"Maybe I should order a human one to be sure."

"Well, there are plenty of choices there."

"What does Robbie's penis look like?"

She laughed, "I have no idea. We're not that close," then took the opportunity to slip into the bathroom and close the door. She relieved herself and cleaned up, then smiled at herself in the mirror as she washed her hands. She felt accomplished, helping her friend through a tough time, then remembered she still needed to convince her to stay away from Randy.

She walked out of the bathroom and found Belle playing with her lion toy. She sighed, wondering if the cat girl was ever not horny, then smiled, knowing she was at least enjoying herself without Randy, "Hey, Belle?"

The cat looked up at her as she teased the tip of the small rod inside her vulva, then pushed the whole thing into herself and gave a satisfied gasping moan. She closed her legs and rolled onto her side with a glowing smile, "Maybe next time you can bring your rabbit and we can both enjoy ourselves."

Julie Ann was still feeling selfish about her rabbit and embarrassed about needing the substitute. She decided to stay on track and get to the point, "Belle, I want you to promise me that you won't give Randy a chance to hurt you again."

"Are you telling me you don't want me to see her again? That's what she said about you."

"I know, but I'm not being jealous. I'm just worried that she might hurt you again."

"Don't worry, she doesn't have anything left here. We're over."

"Good," she looked at the clock, "Oh, its already nine? I need to get home. I'll send you a message and don't you forget to let Robbie know you're okay."

"Definitely not," she hopped up from the bed and hurried over to catch the girl before she left, "Hold on."

Julie Ann stopped at the door and turned around, just as the cat appeared beside her and reached for her breasts. She started to object, but Belle just tugged her shirt out from under her bra, leaving her a little confused and slightly embarrassed at her automatic defensiveness, "Oh. Thank you."

Belle smiled, then grabbed her friend and kissed her lips warmly.

Julie Ann broke the kiss with surprise, "Belle!"

"Sorry. I couldn't resist."

"How about just a hug?"

"Even better," she hugged her friend, pressing her naked furry body against her and purring softly.

"You're purring."

"You make me happy."

"Well, I'm glad, but I need to go," she tried to slip out of the cat's grasp.

Belle released her with a smile, "Just don't forget about me."

"How could I ever do that? You're going to keep talking to me, right?"

"Definitely."

"Then I need to go. I'll see you online."

"Alright. I'll be waiting."

Julie Ann slipped out the door and down the stairs as Belle watched her.

"How is she doing?" Mr Miller was at his desk as she came down.

"I think she'll be okay. She doesn't want to see Randy anymore."

"Well, don't worry about that. She's not coming in here again. I think I'm going to go by the hardware store tomorrow and get a lock for the door upstairs. Never thought I'd need it, since you have to go through here, but I can't stand guard all the time and I don't trust that girl anymore."

Julie Ann wondered what he would do if he knew what had really happened and decided it would be safer not to tell him, "Well, I need to get home. She knows she can contact me if she needs anything."

"You be careful out there. Do you want me to walk you to your car?"

"I think I'll be fine."

"You're sure?" he got up and walked around the desk, following her to the door. As she left the store, he called one of his employees over. After a chat, the boy jogged by and said hey as he passed her out the door.

Feeling a little paranoid about everything that had happened, Julie Ann checked around her car for damage or signs of tampering, then got in and sat for a moment.

She was feeling pretty good. She had helped Belle with her breakup and convinced her to keep it ended; even pointing her towards Robbie. They would make a good couple.

She had sorted out her feelings for Don and was ready to take the big step. She felt prepared to talk with him and sent him a quick message to let him know. Messages were waiting.

Hot4Red [Dinner's ready.]

H [Are you coming home?]

H [Are you okay?]

She'd be home soon, so she didn't need to respond to her mother. She was probably already in bed, anyway.

Dit Da Dit [I'm getting really worried and now you're not talking to me? Did the apocalypse happen while I've been studying or did I screw something up? I don't think I forgot any birthdays or anniversaries. Just give me something to say you're alive. I'm gonna go shopping tomorrow and check on Belle.]

She smiled thinking about what's waiting for him and considered leaving him in the dark to make him come out and see her, but decided not to be cruel.

BunnyJAN [I'm alive and so is Belle. She broke up with Randy and needed a girl to talk to. I told her to send you a message.]

The response came quick.

D [I'm talking with her now.]

D [She doesn't want to talk about what happened, just that you're a good friend and she's asking about my studies. What happened?]

B [Just go with it. She'll tell you when she's ready. I'm driving home now.]

It tinkled another message as she put it in her pocket, but she ignored him.

The boy was taking his time collecting the few stray carts in the parking lot and kept looking at her. She decided it was time to go and started her car and left, wondering if Mr Miller had sent the boy out to keep an eye on her anyway.

"Ow," Don rubbed his back as he stood up, finding new pains as the day went on. He tried to stretch, but it didn't help. "Maybe a warm shower would be nice. What do you say, girl?"

Molly looked at him and her tail started to wag slowly.

"Alright," he crawled out of bed and gingerly made his way to the bathroom, with the yellow dog following delicately behind. He turned on the water and let her come in before he shut the door, "A bath would be nice, but the only tub is out in the barn. Maybe we can do that, tomorrow."

He didn't worry about soap; he just let the warm water soak his fur and soothe his muscles. Molly whined below him and he looked down, then moved against the wall, "I'm sorry. Didn't mean to hog all the water."

He knelt down and gently rubbed her fur, getting her thoroughly wet as steam filled the small stall, "We're getting too old for that kind of stuff, girl. We can't take a beating like we used to. Not that it was ever easy, but they really could have done some serious damage to you. I think for the first time since I got here, I am actually scared. What if they had killed you before I got there? I don't want to lose you, yet."

She licked his face and he rubbed her ears, then nuzzled her nose, "You're my special girl."

She sat down on the wet tile and looked at him. He tried to figure out what she was thinking, but nothing came to mind. He sat down with her, under the warm rain of the shower, "I'm twenty-five years old and you're what, four or five? Sounds pretty bad, though you're more like thirty."

The wet dog snorted.

"Okay, you're twenty-five, like me," he ruffled her ears and hugged her lightly, "but Julie Ann's only nineteen. Is that too much of a gap? Mum and Da are only three years apart and they got some words about it."

She nuzzled his arm and wagged her tail in the water.

"You're right, I shouldn't worry too much about it. She's more than old enough to make her own decisions. If she does come back, and she wants to be with me, it will be her choice."

He moved and it hurt, but his mind went someplace else, "What if those men had killed me, or worse, her? What am I going to do to keep her safe? Should we go back to Australia, where its safe? That would defeat my whole purpose for coming up here. I want to marry her, but would that be condemning her to torture and death at the hands of men like those?"

Molly stood up and started to shake, but stumbled and whined.

He held her gently, "Oh Molly, life is too short to be worrying about what other people think. If Julie Ann comes back, and still wants me, I'll give her the choice. I'll ask her if she wants to be a part of our family."

He stood up, wincing at his aching body and let the water wash over his face for a moment, then turned it off. He let Molly out and grabbed a towel, drying her fur, then his own.

He sat down at his desk and woke up his computer. A message was waiting.

BunnyJAN [I'm sorry I left like that. We can talk about it in the morning when I get there.]

He smiled and felt lighter than air. If his body didn't ache so bad, he felt like doing cartoon cartwheels all around the room. He turned to Molly and grabbed her front legs, lifting her up to look into her eyes, "She's coming back. I'm going to marry Julie Ann." He kissed the dog's lips passionately, then smiled at her.

He picked her up and carried her to the bed, crawling in with her, then resuming their kiss. He thought about finally getting to let his desires play free as his fingers roamed through her fur. As excited as he was, his body still ached too much to do anything, so he just held his dog close and they lay together.

She pulled up at home and sighed as she turned off the car, then quietly went inside, not wanting to wake anybody up, but her mother was watching TV.

"Julie Ann!" She jumped up and ran over to hug her daughter, "I was worried. That rabbit morph was on the news. They said he attacked some guys. I was so scared he might have done something to you."

"Mom, he didn't attack them. They attacked him and beat his dog."

"How do you know that?"

"I was there. He was defending me, too."

"See, your father's right, you shouldn't hang out with that thing. Its just asking for trouble"

"Don is not a thing and THAT thing is not my father," she pushed away from her mother and headed for her room.

"We're just worried about your safety. We care about you. I love you."

Julie Ann took a breath and left her frustrations in the hall before entering her room. She left the light off and got undressed. She was ready to just go to sleep and make this screwed up day be over. Tomorrow was definitely going to be different.

She turned to her bed, but something was in it. Her eyes adjusted and she realized her brother was curled up on her bed. She quickly grabbed a night shirt and put it on, glad he was facing the wall and probably asleep. She pushed her annoyance aside and decided to carry him back to his own bed. She leaned over him and carefully slid her arms under his legs and shoulders.

As she rolled him into her arms, she froze as she noticed his penis hanging out of his pajamas, just a breath from her face. It looked like he had had a wet dream in her bed. She was shocked, She was angry. She was... curious? It was bigger than she thought it would be. No, he's her brother. She moved back, but her arms were still trapped under him. She carefully slid back out and stood over him, wondering what to do. She considered just tucking it back in and taking him to his bed, so she wouldn't have to acknowledge it, but she would have to touch it. A little voice in the back of her mind got excited, t_ouch it_. She pushed the thought down and decided to wake him.

She noticed his face was pressed between Albert's legs and remembered where that plush had been. The back of her mind taunted her with an image of her little brother's face buried between her legs and she felt something stir down there. She pushed the thought down and snatched the dog away, "Brian."

The boy stirred.

Horror shot through her as she noticed the slender shape of her rabbit dildo on the bed by his cheek. She quickly grabbed it, but with no pockets, she had no place to hide it, so she tossed it on her dirty clothes and turned back to her brother, "Brian."

He opened his eyes and looked at her, "You're home!" He sat up quickly on the edge of the bed, most of his penis slipping back into his pants, though the tip was still visible. "I guess I fell asleep waiting for you."

She tried to ignore his indecency, "What do you want?"

"You said you wanted to show me something and I didn't want to miss it."

Suddenly she remembered the videos from early that morning and her mood fell, "Oh no, Brian. I'm sorry I'm home so late, but you really shouldn't see that just before bed. It'll screw up your dreams."

"But I don't want to wait anymore. I promise I won't dream about it. Just show me."

"It doesn't work like that. I can show you tomorrow."

"Pleeeeeeeeease."

She realized he wasn't going to give in and wanted to get to sleep sooner rather than later, "Fine. Come sit over here." She held her desk chair for him and he eagerly moved to it. She reached around him to wake up her computer, "You know where morphs came from."

He gave an annoyed sigh, "I know. Sex makes babies, I already thought about..."

"No, I mean originally."

"Oh. Yeah. Some mad scientists in Australia made them and we tried to stop them, but were too late."

"Kind of. Forget the movies. After they were made, our government tried to exterminate them and invaded Australia, but the rest of the world stood up for them. Then our president tried to kill them all with a virus." She played the video for him.

"Whoa. He's an asshole."

"Hey," she smacked his shoulder, "but you're right. He was an asshole. The virus didn't work the way they planned. Most morphs were immune and the virus started killing humans."

"What an idiot."

"That's not the worst of it. He sent soldiers down to finish the job, but then they caught the virus and the ones that didn't die went crazy. They blamed the morphs for it and were doing horrible things to them," she played a video of some soldiers with a tiger tied to a pole.

They beat him and taunted him and tortured him. When the tiger finally begged for mercy, they shot him.

Brian jumped at the shot, "Oh shit, they killed him."

She let the language slide and watched him processing.

"Was that real?"

"Very real."

"What happened to the tiger?"

"He's dead, Brian."

"What about his kids?"

"I don't know. I hope he got away safely."

"Did those guys get arrested?"

"I don't know. There were a lot of them," she showed him the list of search results.

He picked another one and it started with a soldier yanking a rabbit around by his ears. The rabbit was begging for his life, trying desperately to plead with the uncaring soldiers. They stripped his clothes off and threw him to the ground, holding him spread. Julie Ann turned away, she couldn't watch them beat a rabbit, not after what happened to Don. The screams were hard enough to listen to and she reached back to turn the volume off.

"We've got to stop them. They can't do that."

"They've already been stopped. This happened eight years ago."

"Then why are you showing me?"

"Because there are still people that think like that. Some guys attacked Don today. They beat up Molly, his dog, then started hitting him. He managed to defend himself, but there are probably more. Its people like that that killed Gizelle's mother."

"You did see it."

"I did and its horrible. We have to teach people that morphs are people, too, so they'll know that this is wrong."

Brian was staring at the screen with his face frozen in shock and she hazarded a glance. The video had ended and was frozen on a soldier's chest, showing his name: GARVER.

"Is that my dad?"

"I don't know." She scrolled the video back, but the name belonged to the one with the camera and he never showed his face. "Don't assume its him. We don't know for sure."

"I know it is. He hates morphs. He did this."

"Even if that was him, its too late to do anything now," she couldn't believe she was defending that man.

"No its not. I'll kill him."

No, she was protecting her brother from doing something that would ruin his life, "Brian, you can't do that."

"Just watch me. He could do that to Gizelle. What if he found out and found her and already killed her? How could I live with myself for getting her killed?"

"He didn't kill her. I'm sure she's still fine. They probably just changed the locks so she couldn't get out again. We'll find her."

"He can't kill her if I kill him first. I'll skin him like he did that rabbit," he pointed at the screen.

"Brian, if you kill your father, they will lock you away forever and you will never see Gizelle again," she tried desperately to reason with him.

"But she would be safe."

"Not for certain, there are lots more out there like him."

"Then what do I do?" He was on the verge of breaking down in tears.

She pulled him close and he lost it. She didn't have a good answer for him, but tried to be comforting, "We have to be good examples of how to treat morphs and everyone. We protect them, but if we attack first, then we're the bad guys. We just have to be strong."

He clung to her and she stroked his head soothingly.

She was tired, but she didn't want to just push him away after that, "Brian, do you want to sleep here tonight?"

He was shaking as he nodded against her chest.

She pushed him up, "Come on, let's go to bed." She half pulled him out of the chair and he stumbled over to her bed. She pushed him into it and crawled in beside him. She finally noticed he was wearing the pajama pants that were 'too tight' to wear the night before. She smirked, but let it slide; he didn't need to be scolded right now.

He curled up against her and she wrapped her arms around him. It was nice to snuggle her brother again and she admitted, if only to herself, that she needed it too, after her crazy day.
