The Drake at the Drake's Tooth
'A drake who has been suffering from the loss of his family for such a long time, drinks at The Drake's Tooth, to cope with his pain. But one night when he's all alone, he meets a beautiful, young dragoness who appears to be friendly and innocent. But later on in the night, when he's alone with her, he ends up in a situation he never thought would happen to him.'
This short story is a spin off to my ongoing novel, 'The Search is Over'. It takes place years before the events of that story came about. And it features the bronze drake named Sebastian, who appears in the middle of the story. But in this story, he's not named Sebastian, he's only referred in this story as the bronze drake. He never had that name back then.
And if you're curious about The Search is Over, or if you feel like you want to see more of the bronze drake, here's the first chapter to The Search is Over. https://www.sofurry.com/view/1223415 Trust me, you'll love that story. ;)
Okay and one last thing, if you're under the legal age, better hit the darn back button. Alright, hope you enjoy this short tale!
It's the middle of the afternoon. Just another day in the summer season. The afternoon sun shining brightly over the city where dragons lived.
At the park within the dragon city, a family of dragons, including a drake who's scales are red, and his mate's scales are green as the grass on the ground. They're having a stroll together in the park. Their hatchling who is bounding away from them, has scales that are red like his father and the tip of his tail has some green on it, coming from his mother.
The hatchling was giggling really loud, as he was trying to catch a butterfly with his paws. The little hatchling jumped up and tried to clap at it with his paws, but it dodged swiftly and flew higher in the air. No possible way, the hatchling could catch it now.
The hatchling sat down on his haunches and hung his head in sadness. It let out a whine. While the hatchling was sitting around pouting at his own failure, a big shadow was right on top of him. Thinking that it's his mother or father, he got up on all fours and turned swiftly around with a big smile, wiping that pout off his face.
But his face went wide, as he saw it wasn't his mother nor his father. But a drake with bronze scales all over him, who's grinning down at him. The bronze drake said, "Well hello there, little guy. Are you lost?"
The hatchling shook his head, still with a bit of a wide face. The bronze drake let out a giggle, "I figured as much, you don't appear to be lost. I think, you must've wandered away from your family." The hatchling looked around and saw that he's alone with the lone bronze drake. Realizing that while chasing the butterfly, he appeared to have wandered real far away from them. The bronze dragon lowered his head slowly to the hatchling's level and the hatchling let out a quiet gasp, backing away from him a bit. Not sure of what to think of this stranger.
The bronze drake assured the little drake, "Don't be afraid of me, little one. I'm as friendly as it comes. I used to have a hatchling, just like you."
The hatchling asked, with his head perked up, "Really?"
The bronze drake giggled again, "I was beginning to wonder, if you know how to speak." He started to nod, as the hatchling was just staring at him, "Yes, I used to have a hatchling and he was a lot like you." He raised his head and stared up at the blue sky, "He always wandered away from me and his momma. Can't exactly give us a break."
The hatchling grinned back at him a bit, "I give mommy and dad a break."
The bronze dragon looked back down at the hatchling and raised a brow, with that same grin across his muzzle, "Oh, I bet you do, little one."
The hatchling gave a determined look, "I'm not little, I'm big just like dad!"
The bronze drake playfully asked, "Oh really? Want to prove it?"
The hatchling crouched low to the ground, playfully raised his haunches up in the air and shook them, "Yes, I'll prove it!"
The bronze drake stood tall over him and puffed out his chest, looking regal in front of him, "Then go ahead. Show me what you got."
The hatchling laughed, "I will." He took a deep breath, flared his wings, stood firm on the grass and then he let out his own roar, "RAWR!!"
The bronze drake looked a bit dumbfounded, then closed his eyes and let out a laugh, "That was the best roar, I've heard! You got me shaking in my own scales!"
The hatchling's face lit up, "Really? It was loud?"
The bronze drake nodded, "Really loud. Loud enough to scare anything that attacks you. You really are big, just like your father."
The hatchling asked when he tilted his head a bit, "So...What's your name?"
Before the bronze dragon could answer, the hatchling's mother called out behind him, "Hey there!" The bronze dragon looked over his shoulder and saw the hatchling's parents have caught up to their little one. The bronze drake whirled around to face them. Both parents put on a smile and the mother just let out a laugh, "I'm sorry about that, our son just got away from us. He was chasing a little butterfly."
The bronze dragon laughed and shook his head, "Oh, there's no trouble at all. I love hatchlings."
The father cocked his head, like he recognized the bronze drake, "Have I seen you here before?"
The bronze dragon gazed at the red drake and nodded, "You probably have. I come to the park a lot and lay around."
The hatchling's mother smiled at him, "Oh yes! I've seen you here too. How are you?"
The bronze drake replied, "Pretty good. I was just having a nice warm day here, as usual."
The green dragoness giggled, "Well still, glad you found our hatchling and didn't have any problems."
He shook his head, "There was no trouble at all, really there wasn't."
The hatchling trotted his way past the bronze drake, up to his parents. He looked up at them and asked, "Mommy, I'm hungry."
The hatchling's father looked down at his son and said, "We'll get you something to eat, son. Lets go."
His mother lowered her head down to her child's level and asked with a smile, "How about we get you an apple? Would you want one?"
The hatchling shook his head profusely and stomped his paw to the ground, "No way. I want to eat a deer, like dad!"
The bronze drake shot up his head and laughed, "I can see he wants to be like his father here."
The red drake giggled at him, "My son and I are close. Very close."
The bronze dragon said with a nod, "A father and a son, always share a special bond. No matter how old your son gets, you'll always share that bond."
The hatchling's father smiled brightly at that, "I believe your right, friend."
The hatchling's mother rose her head real high and beckoned her paw, "Come, little one. You probably starving now." She started to turn around on the bronze dragon, when she gave him a smile halfway through, "Thank you for looking after our son for a moment."
The bronze drake nodded in gratitude, "You're quite welcome."
Both the hatchling's mother and father turned their backs on the drake and started to pad off away from him. The little hatchling looked up at the bronze drake and waved at him, "Bye." And then, he bounded fast after his mother and father.
The bronze drake watched them walk away, until all three of them disappeared from sight. After they left his sight, he put on a glum look and sighed.
Seeing all three of them brings him back some memories. All of them good.
They remind him of his mate, his hatchling and himself. Before his mate was captured and taken away by the humans who live outside the city. Before his son became an adult and left one day, never to return after that.
They were gone for such a long time and he can still remember them. He doesn't even know how many seasons have passed, since they were both gone.
He thinks about them all the time and he still misses them.
He shook his head a bit and decided to trot away, before someone sees him moping about. His tail swinging back and forth as he padded on the stone path in the park. He looked around the area, remembering how his son always wandered away from him and his mate whenever he got the chance. Remembering how all three of them laid around on the grass together, looking up at the puffy white clouds in the sky, during the day. His son always laid between him and his mate.
All of them would stay out here, until it'll be nightfall. Sometimes, they all watched the stars twinkle up there and his son would point at the constellations that he sees. The bronze drake always liked the stars and so did his son.
Just like the bronze drake always loved the flowers that grows in the gardens at one end of the city. That place always looked beautiful.
He even remembered that how he first met his future mate there and that was years ago.
He let out another sigh, as the memories got to him a bit. He still had that sad look shone in his eyes. But all that was in the past, now a days he just lays around in the park during the day, watching families wander in the park having fun. Seeing any drake with his dragoness along with their hatchling, have fun like any family would.
Usually seeing a family in any part of the park makes him happy, but it can also feel sad for him.
He kept on trotting, until he was out of the park, accidentally brushing past one drake. The drake hissed at the bronze dragon, but he didn't stop. He kept going. He's now on the street of the dragon city, big stone buildings on both sides of the street, walking back to his home.
*****
The bronze drake is sleeping peacefully on the furs at his house, curled up on them. It has been an hour after he came back home from the park and he felt tired. He was starting to smile in his sleep and he murmured. He was dreaming away.
After a while, he was starting to mumble in his sleep, his smile melted off his snout, "My...Love....My...My...Love..." He trailed off in his sleep, while his paw gripped tightly around one fur.
He was mumbling loudly again, while he wrinkled his face. There was worry in his voice, "My love...My....Son."
Then he gasped and shot his head up off the furs. His face was wide with fear and he was breathing deeply.
After several deep breaths, he began to relax, as he realized it was just a dream. He remembered he was dreaming about his family. About what could've happened to them. About how they would've died, years ago.
He hung his head in total sadness. Sometimes, he wondered if there was anything he could've done differently. Like maybe, if he was with his mate at every single moment, before she was taken away by those blasted humans, then maybe she'd still be alive. If maybe, he convinced his son not to leave the city, then he'd be around his own father to keep him company.
But how could he have convinced his son to stay with him? His son was fully grown, just like him. He wanted to live his own life, not live with his father for the rest of his long life.
How he wished they were both here with him, sleeping by the lonely drake. He never did like being alone. Not once in his life, that he did.
The bronze drake, usually goes to The Drake's Tooth with his old hatchling buddies. So he'll go there. He's wide awake now, so he'll go to sleep later.
He started to get up off the furs, real slow like, moaning a bit. He let out a big long stretch on the furs, his claws tapping against the stone floor at the edge of the furs. His tail and wings stretched out too. The bronze drake relaxed himself and let out a yawn. Then he started to wander out of his room to leave his house. To head off to The Drake's Tooth.
*****
It has been a long time ago, since the lone bronze drake arrived at the tavern called The Drake's Tooth. Sitting on his haunches near a round table all alone. Only a few other dragons are here in the tavern too, including the drake who makes the drinks. He has found a few of his buddies here earlier, but they didn't stay for very long. So now he's all alone, drinking.
The bronze dragon reached his paw around the mug that held his favorite drink in the tavern and brought it slowly to his muzzle. Drinking it in large gulps. He can feel the alcohol going down his throat.
The bronze drake brought the cup back to the table and let out a satisfied sigh, then he let out a belch. A few dragons who were sitting at a table nearby laughed when they heard him. They went back to drinking too, their tails thumping against the floor..
The bronze dragon held his breath and let it out, in a slow whoosh of air. He was looking at his own reflection on the glass. Looking at the broken down, lonely drake. Looking at the shadow of his own proud, former self.
The bronze drake came to this place a lot, just to do only one thing. To drink his sorrows and pain away. To numb his mind from the painful thoughts of losing the only family he made. He's a bit drunk now, but not much that he can't stand up straight. But he can feel his mind buzzing a bit, from his drink.
He didn't exactly care how many nights in the row he goes here to drink. He didn't even care how much he'll drink. If it'll help him through the pain, then he'll do it.
He shut his eyes real tight, trying not to think about them. He knows he can never forget them. No matter how much he does it, when dawn comes in the next morning, he'll never forget them.
Sometimes, he wonders why bother? Why bother drinking at all? He would just remember them still. He let out a sad breath.
The bronze drake can remember the first time he and his son shared a drink here together, for the first time in their lives, father and son share a drink. He can also remember how they were both howling outside, when they were both drunk.
He giggled to himself, his eyes still closed. That was a proud moment, he could never forget. If only his mother was alive to see that moment, but she was gone when he was just a hatchling.
But at least he got to share the moment with him, before he was gone too.
The bronze dragon's thoughts went to something else. He sometimes hoped that maybe his son's actually still alive. Somewhere out there still alive and well, he also sometimes thinks his mate's still alive too. Maybe still locked up in a dragon made dungeon in a castle. That there would be no escape for her, or anyone to rescue her.
He would've died for her, if that was really the case. But those were hopeful thoughts, they don't mean they're true.
His mate and son are never coming back. No matter how much he dreamed about them, no matter how many times he has those hopeful thoughts, they can never come back.
He hung his head still, not opening his eyes at all. He can feel his eyes starting to water under his eyelids. He felt like he was going to break down in tears in the middle of the tavern. It wouldn't be the first time that happened.
He loves them both.
And he sometimes...Wants to be with them.
Sometimes...He wants to die and be with them right now.
He even wants to take to the skies and fly out of here. To find a single dragon slayer, or a group of dragon slayers to claim his life. He thinks, it's better than plummeting the earth.
He sometimes has that thought, but he knows he can't do it. His family would want him to live.
He let out another breath, his eyes opened a bit. A single tear came down his face and he muttered only four words in total despair, pain, and sorrow, "I love you, guys." His thoughts went to his mate and son again.
Then he whispered his words again after they flashed in his mind, "I love you both.....I...I love you, my love. And...I love you, my son." His body trembled a bit, "Oh, ancestors."
A female voice snapped him out of his thoughts, "Hey you."
The bronze drake's face and ears perked up, thinking his mate is alive and talking to him. He turned his head, wiping that sad look off his face, to see that it wasn't his mate at all. But it's a dragoness with yellow scales.
A young one, at that. Younger, than him. But not short and small like the teenage dragonesses. But she's fully grown, just like him. She had those beautiful eyes. Her gaze looked good enough to make you look at her. Her body looked sleek and so do her curves.
She giggled with a smile on her face, and the bronze dragon said with a questionable tone, "Uh....Hello."
The young dragoness giggled and asked, "Now, what's a drake like you doing sitting here all alone? I can see that you appear to be lonely."
The bronze drake smiled at her, "And what makes you think that?"
She pointed at the table he's sitting near of with her wing tip, "Isn't it obvious?"
His face went wide and he let out a laugh, "Yeah, I guess it is."
She laughed too and she cocked her head, "Can I join you? You probably want company."
He stared at her for a second, wondering who she is. He never met her here before. This is the first time. He's wondering, what is her game. But he didn't say anything, since he actually wants company. His friends left, and no one else has came up and talked to him. He doesn't like being alone, after all. He nodded and gestured a spot beside him, "Sure." She came up closer to him and sat down on her haunches.
She said with a comforting sigh, "Thanks. I knew you didn't want a lonely dragoness like me, to sit alone with a bunch of other weird drakes."
The bronze dragon cocked his head at her, "And what does that make me?"
She gave him a giggle, "Oh, you seem to be an okay one. I don't see anything wrong with you. You just seem....The type that seems friendly." She shrugged her shoulders, "A gut feeling, I guess."
The bronze drake replied, "Hmm, well I'm glad I'm making your acquaintance." He picked up his glass and drinked again.
The young dragoness put on a disgusted face, as she wrinkled her nose, "You're drinking that? I can smell it and it smells and TASTES gross."
He burst out laughing, almost spitting his drink out of his mouth. He dropped the glass back on the table, "What, you don't like it? This drink is well known for the tavern."
She shook her head, "Well, I don't like it. So, I don't understand why it's well known."
He turned his head to her again and smirked, "I guess, it's because drakes like me, like it!"
She rolled her eyes, "I seriously don't!" Then they both shared a laugh.
He started to frown at her, after their laugh. Still curious about her. Like, who is she? He asked, "So...Do you come here a lot? I don't think, I've seen you here before."
The young yellow dragoness hummed in thought, "Honestly, I do every once in a while. Sometimes, I come here with my friends, but they haven't shown up. So right now, I'm here alone."
He shot his head to his right, replying, "I get the feeling. My buddies left, awhile ago. That why you're talking to me?"
She gave him a strange grin across her face, "Something like that. I just like...Taking to someone like you. To give this dragoness, some great company."
He raised a brow at her words. Starting to get suspicious of her. He was wondering why she's giving him that look. That strange look in her eyes.
It looked like she wanted something from him. Talk about a strange, young dragoness. Why's she giving him that look?
The bronze drake sighed and asked, "So uh...Do you want me to get you something to drink?"
She shook her head, that strange look still shone a bit on her, "No, thank you." Then she added, "Actually, to be truthful with you as to why I'm with you, I think YOU'RE the one who needs my company. That you really need it."
"Well I know that I'm sitting here all alone, but what makes you think I really need it?"
She hummed for her answer, "...You looked liked you were sad about something."
His face went a bit wide at that. She must've saw him with that look. He looked away from her gaze, not looking at her. The dragoness cocked her head, "What's wrong, mister? Did I hit a nerve or something?"
He sighed and got up on all fours to walk away from her, saying this without looking at her, "I need to go."
She got up off her haunches too, with a confused look on her face. The bronze drake went to the bar and dropped a few coins from his shoulder bag to pay for the drinks. Then without looking at her, he trotted fast out of the tavern and into the cool night. He took a deep breath of fresh air and stopped outside in the street. The stars twinkling up in the sky, as he looked up at them. His thoughts about his family came back to him immediately.
Then before he could do anything else, he felt someone's paw tapping on his haunch. He twisted his head to look over behind him and saw that the young yellow dragoness is outside with him. With that smile on her face, "Leaving me alone, are you? I think that's a bit rude to leave a lady alone like that." She let out a chuckle.
He hung his head and sighed, "I'm sorry about that. I just...Have something on my mind. And...I just wanted to get home."
She tilted her head slightly, with a sad look on her face, "You don't like my company?"
His eyes widened and he was looking at her, while shaking his head, waving her off with his paw, "No, ancestors no. It's not like that, really."
She walked alongside him and asked when her expression changed, "Then what it is?" She sat down on her haunches and gave him a smile, "I'm actually, a good listener."
He cocked his head, "Aren't you past your curfew?"
Her face went wide and then she laughed, "I'm not a teenager, anymore! I'm fully grown!"
The bronze drake replied to that, "Still look young to me." He offered when he motioned his head to his right, "C'mon, you probably have family waiting for you. Let me take you home."
She gestured her paw to him, "Aren't you going to tell me what's bothering you?"
He asked with a tilt of his head, "Not going to let this go, are you?"
She shook her head, "Nope. And besides, you look like you need my help and I always give any lonely drake some help." She gave him her weird looking smile, "ANY drake."
He gazed suspiciously at her again. She's giving him that smile again. That odd smile and that look in her eyes.
The young dragoness said with a sigh, her smile went away a bit, "Look, I live alone at my house, so I'm not living with my family anymore. Besides, I'm too old for family."
He shook his head, "No hatchling is ever too old for their family."
She shrugged her wings and shoulders, "Well, I don't talk to them anyways. That's the thing with me. I prefer to be a dragoness with a life of her own."
The bronze drake said when he turned his whole body to her, "I don't know what your game is really and-"
She cut him off when she placed a claw to his snout, "There is no game. I just want to give a lonely drake, like you company."
He pulled his head back from her claw and said, "I don't mean to sound rude, but....You're acting kind of weird."
She cocked her head and asked in a playful tone, "How weird?"
He backed away from her a step, "Very weird. That you're here all alone, with someone who's older than you. Maybe old enough to be your father."
She was taking a step toward him, "Maybe the other reason why I'm here alone with you, is because you remind me of my father."
He raised a brow, "is that all? I doubt that's the truth."
The young yellow dragoness gave him a narrowed look, "What's wrong? You don't trust me?"
He looked into her eyes, trying to read her. Still wondering what's she playing at. He answered, "I'm wondering about you."
She softened her look and said, "I'm not here to hurt you. I'm here to help you, through whatever pain you're having." She gestured her paw to herself, then to him, "If you'd talk to me about it, I'd help you out. Because I'm the only one who knows how to help you. Maybe, I'd know what you're going through and help you."
She placed her paw to her chest and swore, "I swear to our ancestors, you can trust me. I...I really want to help you."
She was giving him this sincere look, but that weird look in her eyes was still there. Like she's planning something.
The bronze dragon only stared at her for a long time, her muzzle slowly starting to smile, giving him her word.
He was slowly for an odd reason, starting to believe her. He feels alone and he has been feeling pain. Feeling it for such a long time. He always thought drinking would help, but the pain doesn't exactly go away.
He's starting to believe every word she's saying, despite his suspicious thoughts about the young dragoness. He believes her.
Sometimes he just wants to talk to somebody, other than his buddies. And he thinks if he tells her everything, if she knows how he feels, she'll somehow help him.
He could use her company.
He coughed a bit, to clear his throat. His mind's made up about it, "I have to ask...Are you going someplace?"
She shook her head, "I told you, I'm not living with my family."
The bronze drake grinned at her, "I know that. I was just...Wondering if you'd accompany me to my house. I wouldn't mind having company there. It...Has been such a long time, since I had a dragoness in my own home. Besides you're right, I am in pain and...I wouldn't mind accepting your help." He shrugged his shoulders and playfully added with a giggle, "I think, it'd be rude of me to decline your offer."
The young dragoness let out a laugh, "Probably so." Then she pretty much beamed at him, after that. She rustled her wings on her back, and slowly motioned her paw toward his chest, "I guess, it's your lucky night."
He nodded and started to lead the way in the middle of the street, "Come, follow me." She followed alongside him, heading to his house in the night. Both their tails and haunches swinging back and forth. While they were walking, she actually brushed her body against his, letting out a giggle from her. His suspiscous thoughts about her came back for a second, then he brushed them off. Seeing that there's no reason to dwell on it.
He thinks she's just being friendly, nothing more.
And a small part of him, hopes he's right.
*****
The bronze dragon and the young yellow dragoness, were both laying on their stomachs, while he was chatting his past away to her. He talked about his family, quite a lot.
He never had anyone in his house for a long time. Not even his buddies, they'd usually wait for him to come outside.
He may not know her all that much, but he brought her here anyways, so he would talk to her. She hasn't really talked much about herself, all she did was stare at him, as the drake spoke to her about his past.
The drake talked to her about everything, what his family were and what they did and all. He was getting to the part about his whole family has suddenly been taken away from him.
He said with a sad look on his face, "I mean, I only found out what happened to her, after she got captured. She was locked up in this dungeon and I can only assume she's dead now. And...As for my son...I can't remember how long he has been gone. But he was fully grown when he left. He...Never returned."
She gave him a bit of a pity look, "I'm sorry about that."
He let out a sigh, "I mean, I just don't understand it sometimes. My mate, wasn't really a bad dragoness. She never did anything wrong. So why would the knights take her away for something she wasn't planning on doing? She was never this monster that humans would call her. I..I wish the humans gave us some slack for once and not treat us like we're monsters. We're mostly not doing anything wrong, what we usually do outside the city is hunt the wildlife and fly over the lands." He also raised a claw, "Also lay out in them, that's it."
The bronze drake held a sad look, "Isn't it too much to ask? To stop treating us like we're monsters?"
The dragoness shook her head, "I never left the city at all. Not at all, in my life. So I don't really encounter humans all that much, like you."
He rolled his eyes a bit and shrugged with one paw, "I guess you're the lucky one here, and you're lucky you haven't lost your family, because of them."
The dragoness got up on all fours and went up to him, while her head hung down low to him, "You're the lucky one, too."
He glanced away from her face and he had a sad look now, "I...I sometimes wish that I was dead, like them. So I wouldn't feel so alone." He got up on all fours and looked at her, "I know that I have my buddies, but sometimes it's not enough. I...I wish, I really had someone here with me. Someone who understands my pain so well. Someone, that I can hold onto. To wrap my wing around this someone and maybe even cry into that someone's shoulder."
The yellow dragoness asked, "Have you ever thought about...Finding another suitable female to court with?"
The bronze drake shook his head slowly, "No. I just...Don't think, I can do that. My heart always belonged to her. No one else, but her."
She slowly started to grin at him, "She really meant a lot to you, huh?"
He took a trembling breath and let it out, "She really was the one, for this drake. I could never find another, like her. Not in my dreams." He shut his eyes tight, afraid his tears might come in front of the young dragoness, "I didn't stay with my mate and she's gone now and I didn't stop my son from leaving. I'm weary of this and have been for a long time." He sighed, "I've tried to look for another, but there isn't. There's no point about it now."
He looked at her and asked, "Can I ask you something?" She nodded and he asked, "Do you really know, how I feel? Do you know how to help me?"
She answered with a shake of her head, "I never had a mate like you did, so no." She raised a claw and added, "Buut, I know how to help you out through your pain. I know how to make you feel better."
"How? How can you help this drake out?"
She never answered at all, she just got more closer to him and to his surprised, she leaned her head into his neck and began to nuzzle him. His eyes were wide in surprise and asked in shock, "What are you doing?"
The dragoness murmured, while nuzzling into his neck still, "Nothing." She pulled her head back a bit, to talk to him, "I...I'm helping you."
Now the drake is really suspicious of her.
She wasn't acting any strange like she was earlier, but now she's acting it again.
He wanted to ask her this important question and he's about to ask it, "Young dragon...Why are you here really?"
She pulled her head back a bit, like the question gave her a shock to her snout, "Excuse me? I've been over this with you."
He narrowed his eyes and shook his head, "I don't think, you're telling me everything. You're saying that you're helping me, but I think there's more to it than that." He slightly pushed her head away a bit more and looked straight at her face, "I can tell by that look you're giving me, that something's on your mind. I maybe older than you, but I'm not stupid and blind. You want something from me."
He slowly cocked his head, "So what is it? What do you want? Are you helping me, or wanting something from me?"
She gave her that odd smile like before, and opened her maw to answer him, "Both."
He was shocked at her answer and now he's frowning at her, "What does that mean?"
The dragoness giggled softly, "What I'm saying is, I'm helping you, but I also want something from you. And I'm sure it'll help you more, if you try it."
He tilted his head toward her, a suspicious look shone in his eyes, "What are you getting at, young lady?"
She raised her paw a bit off the floor and her eyes now appeared to have lust, "That you crave to not feel alone anymore, that you want that kind of company back in your life. That you want to have a...Certain dragoness to curl your tail with."
He asked, not taking his eyes off the suspicious girl, "Are you saying that...You're this certain dragoness?"
She didn't exactly say anything, all she did was leaned into his neck again, to nuzzle him. He held his breath, as she was doing it again. She finally spoke, "I would do anything you want. For only tonight, I will make you happy. I'd do anything to make this lonely drake happy."
That's when his eyes went wide, as he realized she has revealed her true colors.
She wants him to mate her. That's why she's here with him, that was her plan all along.
She manipulated him into trusting her and now she's here.
She must be this kind of dragoness who searches for drakes all alone and then they'd go off and mate together. Not for love, reproduction and pleasure, but just ONLY for pleasure. That's what she wanted from him all along, that's why she went up to him alone in the tavern.
The drake always despised this kind of thing. That drakes and dragoness's would only mate for just pleasure, nothing more than that. He wasn't even that kind of drake. He would only mate for love, reproduction and pleasure. But when it comes to the female not in heat, then he'd do it just for love and pleasure.
He doesn't love her and he thinks she doesn't love him back and she wants him to do it.
She continued to nuzzle into his neck, more harder than before. Then she started move alongside his body, rubbing herself against him. Rubbing her scales against his, in a most teasing way possible.
He felt himself tingle from within, that the way she's rubbing him is getting to him. That he wants to do it.
She got back in front of him, with her nose pressed against his. She giggled and said with that lustful look in her eyes still, "Well? I think you know what kind of help, I'm offering you."
The bronze drake asked with a trembling, bit aroused breath, "I need to ask you this. Do you...Love me?"
The yellow dragoness only answered when she got her head to his neck once more, but this time to give his neck a nip. He gasped, as she nipped him again. She giggled and she gave him a long teasing lick now. He wanted to push her away, but her licking was making him want her to stay. Her tongue was tracing up on his neck. She pulled her tongue off of him and then she started to trail her tongue along his face now.
When her face was nose to nose with him again, she started to close her eyes, tilted her head and placed her snout with his. Kissing him.
The drake's face went wide at the gesture, as her tongue began to enter in his mouth. Her tongue's now touching his. Then he suddenly started to give into her and he started to kiss her back, they're locking jaws now. His heart racing at this. Her tongue felt good to him. The dragoness raised her paw to grasp his shoulder and she began to caress his bronze neck. Then she started to moan into his mouth, as she kissed him deeper.
They were kissing like this for a bit, until his conflictions suddenly came back and he raised a paw, planted it at her chest and pushed her away. Taking a deep breath, he gave her a glare and shouted, "Get out!"
The young dragoness however, didn't budge one bit and she laughed, "Wow, playing hard to get. And I thought us females, played hard to get." She gave him a seductive wink and giggled.
He went on with that same glare, while he was huffing, taking short deep breaths, "I don't love you and I sure as hell know, you don't love me. You just want me to mate you and then you'll leave." He shook his head twice, "I'm not that kind of drake and you shouldn't be doing this to yourself. You should only do this to someone you love, not just for pleasure."
She shrugged her shoulders, "Oh, but where's the fun in that? It's not the first time I'm doing this, so why worry?"
He still shook his head, "I'm not doing this to you." Then he waved a dismissive paw at her, "Plus, I'm older than you and you're young. Don't you find this a little TOO wrong? I'm old enough to be your father."
She only shook her head and then the bronze dragon growled at her, "Young lady, I...I can't do this. I won't do it."
She leaned her head and gave his chin a seductive lick, "Oh come on, you think you can fight your desires? All drakes have their desires and want to share them with a female, there's no shame in that. And besides...Do you want to be happy?"
He only stared at her, not washing his glare away at all. The yellow dragoness said, "I know you want that loneliness to go away. You hate to be alone. And what better way to help you, wash away your pent up desires?"
He let out a sigh and begged, "Please...Don't do this."
But she didn't listen to him and she planted her muzzle onto his for another kiss. He growled a bit, as her tongue entered his mouth again. He was still surprised she's not taking no as an answer, but also wasn't surprised at all.
He would forcefully get him off of her, but he doesn't want to hurt her either. In his eyes, she's still just a dragoness who can't control her wants and needs. She wasn't exactly a bad dragoness. He doesn't want to hurt her, over her lack of self control. It wouldn't be right.
But he still doesn't want to do this, but she's making it VERY hard on him. His conflictions are starting to slip away now, as he was starting to kiss her right back. Closing his eyes in the process and his pulse was quickening. Finally after several seconds of kissing, she pulled away and despite his conflictions, he felt like he wanted to kiss her more.
She backed away from him and she started to turn around on him, until her back's faced to him. She gave him a seductive grin and shook her haunches back and forth, "Do you like what you see, handsome?" Then she started to raise her tail, ready to invite him in, "Come on, I'm waiting for you to claim me."
He had the urge to mount her and do the deed right now, as he looked at her clit. But he fought it when he shook his head. Then she started to back into him, her tail raised still. Still trying to make this harder on him. With every attempt to decline her offer, she pushed further. She pleaded, "Please, I want this. I want you to give it to me. Give me your seed. Wash away your pent up desires."
The bronze dragon had an apprehensive look and she suggested, "If you don't want to mate because you see me, then picture me as your dead mate. When you've mounted me, picture it. I know you want to feel alive again. Do you want my help? I really know how and well, now's your chance at that."
It was true, he didn't want to fee alone anymore. Despite everything right now, he wanted to feel alive again. Sometimes, before tonight happened, he sees a beautiful dragoness in the streets and he usually says hello to them. On occasion, when he looks at them, he sees his dead mate, because of their beauty. But he also knows, none of them is really her. There would be no one else, just like her. There was no way he would do anything to any dragoness, because he doesn't love them, like he loves his first and only mate.
The bronze drake still fought the urge to mate her right now, since doing that to her will go against what he believes in. He shook his head, giving the young dragoness his verbal answer, "No."
But as for her answer, she backed into him, until her hind end is pressed against his chest. Her tail curling forward as far as it'll go. She begged again and pretty much bore a vey serious look, "I won't take no, as an answer." His body shuddered, as the entrance of her cavern was pressed against his chest. He felt himself lose a bit of self control. Then he could feel something between his legs coming out and he knew what it was. It's his dragonhood. His red meat between his legs was ready and wanted to mate someone.
She saw it when she looked under him and she gave a big grin, "Looks like someone wants it. I knew you would."
He took a deep breath, seeing that no matter how hard he tries, she won't leave. She'll keep raising her tail at him, until he does what she wants and also his apprehensions have all slipped away. She giggled and moved forward a few steps, her tail still raised with each step she took, "I'm ready."
And looking at her entrance to her tunnel, became the final straw to his instincts, as they were taking him over. His desires to feel alive and not feel alone, wants to be filled up now. He moved up to her and began to climb on her back. She moved her tail to the side and let her wings go limp on both sides too, as he began to mount her. She lett out a small cry of excitement, as he climbed fully on her back.
After he put his weight on her, he moved his head towards hers and kissed her directly on her snout, their tongues twining around each others. While they were kissing, he shifted his hips onto hers trying to position himself and his shaft tried to find the entrance to her tunnel, trying to make it go through it. His tip of his shaft finally touched her lips and he stopped kissing her, pulling his head away from her and now he was facing the back of her neck. His soon to be mated dragoness turned her head to look ahead, waiting for the beginning to come. His paws began to grip her hind legs and without wasting any time, he began to push himself into her. He let out a gasp, as overwhelming warmth came to his massive shaft. The yellow dragoness under him, sucked in a sharp breath as he began to penetrate her. She shut her eyes real tight, waiting for this part to be over with.
Once one half of his shaft went into her, he stopped so she'd get used to his thing inside her. He does want her so much, but he doesn't want to hurt her also. After about a few seconds, she whimpered and started to push back into him, wanting him to keep going. He gasped and then he began to push deeper in her depths now. Until, he was all the way up to his balls.
His heart was pounding and so is hers. Their union is now complete and now they're waiting for their union to get used to. Before he would began to mate her.
Now his instincts were telling him to do the drake's deed and he began to pull himself out of her tunnel, until he was almost out. He gripped her hips tightly and the young dragoness braced herself, as he's ready to give her, his first thrust. He lowered his head to the back of her neck and gave her a lick. With that, he pushed himself back into her. She let out a grunt as she felt it.
The bronze drake pulled his cock out slowly and repeated it like before. He pulled out and pushed back in, taking her softly. With every soft thrust after a few minutes, her sacred cave was now starting to get wet, making it slick enough for him to take her easily. The yellow dragoness hummed in delight and let out a sigh, as she's loving to be filled by his hood. Finally getting what she planned a couple hours ago.
He was still giving himself to her slowly with each pull and push, his massive shaft was wet by her juices now too. One part of his brain was focused on how warm and slick her tunnel is, as he haven't mated for such a long time. But his other part of his brain was screaming at him. Screaming at him for doing this with only pleasure. Not everything else. For doing this to one, young dragoness.
But she wouldn't leave him alone, no matter how much he would say no. She wants his seed for her own young desires. He pushed his dragonhood back into her, and she let out a cute grunt. Her tunnel was getting more slick, by the minute. Despite how she lured him into this, he felt some pity for the young girl.
That she never had anyone to love for and be with, he almost felt sorry for her. Even with each thrust into her, he knew she wasn't lying to him about this. This isn't the first time, this has happened to her. He can practically feel it She has mated with ancestors knows, how many drakes she has gone with, other than him. She was pretty good at seducing them, to enlighten them of their own desires. To show off her body to them, to show off her curves. To raise her tail to them, to let any drake give his seed to her.
His body shuddered above her, as her tunnel clenched around his malehood. And then the dragoness whimpered and begged, "Please, give it to me harder."
His other part of his brain, still told him to pull out and just fly away from her. She won't expect it at all. But his instincts told him otherwise and he began to give it to her a bit more faster and harder than before. He let out a growl for her and she let out a moan, as she was being taken more harder now.
The young dragoness screamed up to the stone ceiling, "Ancestors, you feel amazing! It's..." She moaned again, as she took another slam from his hips, "BIG!" She shut her eyes tight, as she can feel pleasure from each thrust was starting to come to her not only from her hind end, but to all over her body. She felt amazing. Her claws were now clawing at the stone floor, making deep cuts into it a bit. She was loving every bit of it and doesn't want it to stop, until he claims her.
The bronze dragon was slamming into her hips still, pulling out his own and slamming into her. She let out a scream as he repeated the same thing, again and again.
The bronze drake shut his eyes real tight as instincts and pleasure on his shaft was making him wanting to give it to her more than ever. Even the voice in his head, that was screaming at him, finally went away. Never screaming at him, to stop this now. He didn't want the vision of everything, stop him, he just wanted to shut his eyes.
His imagination was getting to him, as he still had his eyes closed. He can imagine that he's not mating with the young dragoness, but he's mating with his love before she died, right this very moment. He can remember what her tunnel felt like, but the dragoness that he's with right now, felt a bit different. Nevertheless, it still felt great to his cock.
Her tunnel walls were clenching around his girth with each hard thrust, and he was baring his teeth. Scrunching up his nose, as the sound of their mating was being heard in the room. They can both hear a plop with each slam of their hips.
The dragoness started to push back her hind end into his thrusts, timing it right with his thrusts. She let out a cry of pleasure, as he hit a sensitive spot in her, "Ancestors, hit it again!"
He didn't deny that request and with his closed eyes, he thrusted into her tunnel, hitting that spot. She gave out another cry of pure bliss. Which he now shamefully admitted, was music to his ears. But he didn't care about that shame now. He feels that loneliness washing away with each hard push of his hips.
He drove his hips into her tunnel still, not letting up. She looked back at him over her shoulder and shouted, "Please, you handsome drake, DON'T STOP!" He wasn't planning to stop, not after all this started. Now he just wants to finish it.
In reality he wants to release his seed into the young yellow dragoness, but in his imagination, he wanted to release it in his love, his first mate. He won't stop, until he gives her all of it.
In his mind while he was still breeding hard into her, the memory of his first mating with his love, years ago flashed into his mind. After he gave her a flower from the garden and as soon as he got back home with her, she began to kiss him. He was shocked at first, but while she was kissing him, she proclaimed that he's the one. That he was the mate for her and he would never hurt her. Never betray her.
With that thought, he's starting to feel guilty now. That he feels like he's betraying his mate, even in death. That he's going against his beliefs, that he's mating someone he doesn't even love at all, and she doesn't feel the same way back at him. They're both doing it for pleasure. No love and reproduction, at all with it. But the guilt didn't stop him at all, it washed away a bit as her tunnel clenched around his dragonhood again.
The dragoness's nostrils flared and she was breathing heavily from his hard fucking. With another slam coming from him, she let out a cry of bliss again and she was slowly lowering herself to the floor, letting the drake have his way with her. She knows, she totally has him now and he won't stop. She flapped her wings in reflex and then her tail started to snake toward his and it started to coil around his. Their tails are twined now.
The bronze drake locked his hips around hers and gave it to her more harder than before and he growled. He can feel his thing twitching now, and that means it won't be forever now, when his seed comes spurting in her.
She groaned, as she took his thrust again and she was panting, "Claim me! CLAIM ME NOW!!" The bronze drake moaned and bared his teeth, only now he lowered his head to her neck and bit down on it. She moaned real loudly, as more pleasure than pain, shot up throughout her whole body. She moaned to him again, "Oh, YES!" And she whimpered more.
The bronze drake lifted her hips with each thrust and he was caressing her curve with one paw, with each very hard thrust. His eyes are still closed and he can still picture the dragoness that he was ploughing, as his first love still. He believes now, that's one of the reasons that's keeping him going.
His teeth dug a bit deeper into her neck and she moaned still. He finally let loose of her neck and moaned out his own pleasure.
He can feel a pressure building in his balls and massive dragonhood. He can feel his seed ready to come out, ready to claim her. He growled deep in his throat and he was mating erratically now, wanting to spent his essence in her. To finally claim her.
His claws on her hips, gripped tighter on her, drawing a bit of blood from them. He let out a snarl, as he was giving her the last moments of their mating. His thing inside her was twitching more fast than before. He's going to do it.
The voice inside his head came back after a long time for a moment, telling him to pull out now. But he didn't listen to it, his instincts had total control over him.
With a few last short erratic thrusts, he drew back his head, spread out his wings and let out a earth shattering roar. Then he slammed into her one final time, bucking her body forward with that last real hard slam. His whole body shuddered and he moaned. The dragoness that he mated moaned too and she can feel his shaft deep inside her now, because of that thrust. Now she can feel his seed starting to come out of his dragonhood, coming out in short, fast, powerful spurts.
His hips moved a bit as he continued to let out his life giving essence, starting to coat her tunnel walls with all of it. He had a lot to give, he really pent up so much of it. With each spurt, his pleasure overwhelmed him and he was breathing deeply in short ragged breaths. And the young dragoness let out a long, pleasured moan, as she was being filled by him.
The drake let out a sigh, as his spurts slowed down to a trickle. Then he collapsed on her back, groaning after all of that. They were both panting and out of breath, they're both spent. He finally opened his eyes, after it was now over. Then he saw some bite marks that he left behind on the back of the young dragoness's neck and he started to lick them. Feeling a bit sorry, that he probably hurt her.
But she never felt any pain at all, she felt fantastic, as they're both stuck awkwardly together. He was just laying on top of her, as the afterglow of their sex began. The dragoness finally twisted her neck to look at the handsome bronze drake that mated her fully, his head's now laying on her shoulder. She gave his cheek a lick and smiled, "Thank you, handsome. I needed that."
His eyes began to flash guilt, when his mind came to the conclusion to see what he has done. He claimed the dragoness that he didn't love at all. He was just imagining that he was mating with his first mate, but it wasn't. It was her all along.
At first at the beginning, he didn't feel alone anymore. But now he feels...Guilty. He felt like he betrayed his love, who's watching him with the ancestors. In the afterglow of their mating, he feels guilt.
He feels like he can't forgive himself. He was never that drake at all. But now tonight...He has become that drake.
Finally, his shaft softened and it popped out of her tunnel. Some of his cum spilled out of the entrance of her tunnel, she was practically filled to the brim by him.
And now, after all that, he feels total shame. Shame over himself.
The bronze dragon got off her back and laid down beside her, their tails still twined together. He finally uncurled it off of hers, since he's not mating her anymore. She still had that smile of appreciation and said it again, "Thank you. Thank you, so much."
He rolled his eyes, away from her. Too ashamed to look at her, "You're welcome."
The young dragoness shook her head a bit on the floor, "Don't hate yourself. You wanted it. All drakes want this. They all want pleasure."
He sighed, "Not all of them. You made me do something, that I've regretted. I didn't love you and I didn't want this. I just...Wanted company."
The dragoness pressed her snout to his cheek and kissed it, then she nuzzled it with her nose. That's when she admitted, "I didn't love you, either. But we both loved it, even you won't admit it. But, I do. And I'm still thanking you for that. I really loved it."
It was true, he liked it too. He won't admit it, but he loved every minute of it. Despite the guilt and shame, he loved it. And that what's making the guilt worse. He went against his conflictions and just did it, then he loved it.
He feels that his mate and son, won't forgive him for this. Doing this to someone you don't love. He just...Couldn't resist it. He let his instincts take over.
The dragoness laid her head on the floor close to his, as her slumber began to take her over. She said this with her eyes closed, "I know you wanted this, because you felt alone. Well I bet you don't feel alone now, handsome drake." She giggled at the thought.
Despite that he felt pity and sorry for the young dragoness while they were mating, he honestly felt angry at her now and he wanted to shout at her. Angry at her for making him do this deed to her. For seducing him. For making him do something that he never wanted to do to her. He wanted to tell her to leave and never come back. But he didn't have the strength to do it. He was tired to do anything.
But he knows, that after she wakes up, she'll get up and leave. Maybe, not come back. Knowing that she accomplished what she was after. That's the thing with dragoness's like her, they mate, then they leave and never come back to that drake. Because she never loved him, she only wanted him for pleasure.
He let out a long drawn out sigh, picturing her mate and son's faces staring angrily at him. He's hoping one day, they'll forgive him.
He laid his head down on the floor too and closed his eyes, his slumber drifting him off into a deep sleep.
*****
Several Years Later, 2085
The bronze drake's wandering in the park in the dragon city, during the spring day now. The sun shined brightly on his bronze scales. He had his smile on his face. Padding with each step on the grass.
But then it washed away, as a past memory came to him right now.
About that night, with that young yellow dragoness. That he mated her and never wanted to do it in the first place. He let out a sigh, as he trotted along on the grass. He still thinks about it every once in awhile.
Course, he can feel a twinge of guilt still from that night, but it wasn't as much as before. It finally wasn't as bad, as before. He has gotten over it, a little bit. In fact, for a long time, he tries not to feel bothered by it.
That young, yellow dragoness the next morning, disappeared when he woke up. And after that night, he never saw her again. He honestly, never told anyone about that, not even to his buddies back then.
But all his buddies are dead now anyway, and he can't place how many years have passed, since the last of his buddies died. He did know that he was sick and old, before he died. Since then, he hasn't had much company for such a long time. Except when he goes to The Drake's Tooth and drinks, he usually talks to other dragons who are there. But usually that kind of company, don't walk up to him and say hello. They just drink away, just like he does. He sometimes wonder, if he'll see that dragoness again, but she never came back.
Most of the time, he tries to make the best of his life now. When he really wants to feel happy and alive, he still goes to the park up to this day and watch families. They never disappoint him. Seeing any family, does make him feel sad still, but he's also happy too.
But his mate and son are still on his mind. Sometimes, he wonders if they've forgiven him for his mistake. He doesn't dwell on it as much as before, but it does come to mind.
Despite the guilt and everything that happened to him before, the bronze drake still tries to make the best of his life right now. He even feels old, actually. He begins to wonder how many years have went by in his life.
Years ago, he doesn't know how long ago he found it out, but he heard and saw that humans actually came to the dragon city. That humanity has actually, became friends with dragon kind, much to his shock. More than once in his life, he always dreamed that dragons and humans would co exists, and it happened He never talked to one back then, because the humans would attack him. But now, things apparently have changed back then. Now a days, he knows that one human who is well known in the dragon city now.
A human named, Wayne Madigan. He sometimes sees him, but he doesn't really talk to him. Since he feels like he really doesn't want to be a bother to him. He even knew that Wayne always hangs out with a blue dragoness with a human name. Her name's Sierra. He giggled to himself, just thinking about it. He thinks that's a beautiful human name, for a dragoness. Seeing the point that they can actually communicate with each other. Humans trying to say the names dragons are born with in our language, can not be an easy task.
Now when he thinks about it, the humans don't come here as much as they used to, and he said hello to several of them when he sees them on the street. But now these days, there aren't a lot of them here now.
According to a lot of dragons, from what he heard, they said that humanity just changed for some reason and they've become hostile towards dragons now. So that's why humans don't come here anymore. He did feel disappointed about it, honestly. He thought it would last forever.
While walking, the bronze dragon looked up ahead on the grass, and he can actually see a human not far from him. A young male human, sitting crossed legged on the grass, watching a dragon family from a distance.
He cocked his head when he saw that human. Of all the times he has been laying around in the park, he did see a few humans who wander through here, before they changed. He even talked to a few of them here before as well, just like he would see any human in the streets of the dragon city. Now for the first time in a long time, he sees one up ahead. Apparently, he appeared to be deep in thought.
Then a thought came to him, thinking that maybe he just feels alone in the city, because he's a human and he's in the city that's full of dragons. That he's not living with his own kind. Sometimes, dragons can be gruff to humans. He looked like he was alone.
Something that the old bronze drake can relate to.
He started to smile a bit at the human in the distance. He knows that humans have became friends with dragons before and there's nothing to be nervous about. He believes that this human will be friendly to this old drake. He absolutely believes, he won't hurt him. He's in the city full of dragons, so he would have hurt one of his kind by now, if that human was being hostile to them. But from what he can tell, he wasn't.
For his kind nature, the old bronze drake walked up slowly to that human. Wanting to offer his company to him. He's hoping he won't be a bother to him, either.
But what he doesn't know is that, once he sits with the human to give him company, that human will brighten up his life like the sun in the sky, like it was before. That young human will make his life brighter, since his mate and son before him. That this human has friends, that the drake will treat them like they are his family.
And that young male human he sees ahead, is Brandon Long.
