A Biography of a Human

Chapter Thirty-Eight:

“Crowned by Spring"

The Historian-

Excerpts from the Imperial Biography of Imperial Alpha Ulric, the High Ancestor, from the Book of Kutlar:

Eternal Concord 3rd Year. The 2nd Month, during spring. On the 14th Day, Imperial Alpha Ulric departed for his father, Imperial Alpha Wuffrim II, The Middling Ancestor's mausoleum. The previous day's divination was indecisive on the prognosis of the journey.

Consort Dowager Jao executed a plot to have Alpha Ulric meet with death in the progress and had stores of manure planted at the bases of the aqueducts adjoining the imperial road. The attempt failed due to the actions of the Human Talent Iskander Koff, who had accompanied the Alpha unbeknownst to the rest of the court by desire of the Imperial Alpha who wished his company.

Ulric went to the eastern fort and amassed an army with which he stormed the capital. The loyal wolves at the gates opened it for them and they took the outer city with little bloodshed. The palace was taken and Ulric appeared before his court in full regalia, thus reassuring to them all of his state of being.

The traitor Beshir was killed in struggle, the head of him smote from his body. Usurper Jao fled to the Imperial Park and took his life by drowning himself the Pond of Peaceful Clarity within the Abode of Tranquil Water. The Shaman Exorcist preformed a cleansing of that place in the days following.

Imperial Dowager Nu was rescued from the Armpit Palace's laundry chamber. Imperial Mate Gao'ao was also located. Ulric's Consort Kun and her new born litter were without harm. The eldest son of the Alpha, the lone-whelped pup, First Prince Bakti survived likewise, though his mother, an unnamed lowborn palace wolf was slain in the chaos.

Within the following days, Alpha Ulric issued out orders to have the areas in the palace that were damaged to be repaired and followed with one issuing the replacement of Alpha Dowager Nu's processions of status be started. Lord Yun, the commander of the forces that took the palace was granted the title of Marquis with the appellation, “Who Secures the Pack," for his actions as well.

Ulric wished to give his Human Talent Iskander Koff a reward for his selfless actions and furthermore for his fondness he had for the human. He desired to have him promoted to a higher station. Prime Beta Titus was hesitant but relinquished after the Imperial Alpha fought for it…

Laid before me were my garments of state, fine crimson silk with small stag badges sewn across its bodice. A small coronet laid atop the neatly folded garments of glossy silk, its openwork of gilt brass petals arraigned in a small dome dazzled me despite it being nothing compared to the ornaments worn by those of higher ranks.

Yosef was peering over my shoulder as I picked up the marvelous little headdress, its dangling pears chiming against its frame as I held it aloft. He gasped lowly as a ray of light bounced off its reflective surface and cast itself on the walls.

“It is a good thing you hair has grown out now, this will surely frame you well," Yosef remarked as I glanced his way, gleefully unable to hide my own pride at this all being awarded to me along with the new title of Concubine of Shinning Countenance.

“Not only that, Yosef, but we will also move into our own palatial compound and not be her Highness pet lure," I snidely stated, relieved at being free from Gao'ao's clawed thumb now. “Of course, she will still think she owns me, but she will see I am no longer her pawn anymore, we'll have to play it cautiously from here on out."

“Jao's final words?" Yosef, eyebrow raised, questioned as I took a seat on the bed and ran my fingers across the fine silk of my ceremonial robe of state.

“Yes…" those last words of his echoed back in my head, his warnings. No person lies when faced with unavoidable death. “There's no turning back, we are in an uncertain time and if we are to endure we must aim for stability. Being made Concubine of Shinning Countenance is a step to that but its not enough for that to be gained."

“So, when will we be stable, Sire?" he addressed me with titled honor, which I waved down for him to cease as we were alone.

“I am not sure of that myself. Look at Siao, he's a consort, and despite having fallen out of favor he's stable for the most part, so being of the same level is what should be strived for."

“What about Imperial Mate?" Yosef asked.

“That's something even I am not sure would be even possible, there has never been a human in that position and furthermore that seat is already filled by you-know-who."

“Yes, but she is more barren than a dried-up pool! You know how I am practicing my Wolven by speaking with others in the harem and not one I have spoken to says any good about Gao'ao, she's a bitch..." I laughed hard at this. I was not surprised in the slightest, on the contrary it was well known, but hearing it put so bluntly.

“One step at a time, Yosef. I've only recently gotten promoted to where I am now and that in itself was a bit of a hurdle. Titus was set against it and it took a full fortnight of near constant nagging by Ulric to get him to concede," even saying the name of that wolf made me grow red with anger now knowing of him selling out Gernan. He needed to be gotten rid of. This was a tidy solution that was twofold: one, it would ensure my future in this precarious place and two, it would make him pay for what he did to Gernan.

“It's not going to be easy to take down a Prime Beta, look how long it took Jao…I'm going to need allies in the court, wolf mandarins."

“How do we go about that, Xan?"

“I don't really know for sure. You, Maria or her mate might be of help in that since they are allowed to go in and out of the palace and Harem and thus act as a go-between," as I thought, an idea came to me on further ways to be in contact with any future allies in the government. “Ah! My new position will give me privileges to leave the palace…"

“Maybe Gernan's Temple could serve as an ideal meeting area to discuss with those wolves? What do you think, Yosef?" he merely nodded in agreement as I finished with how this was all in the future and we needn't rush into everything right away. Only my coming investment ceremony was on our minds, when I would be confirmed in my new position as Concubine of Shinning Countenance. An auspicious date had already been picked for it and it was also near my own birth date as well, being but a week before it.

I was rife with eager anticipation for this, not only for the reasons given above but also for the fact that lengthy nights laboring over the collective ledgers and spreadsheets of vast sections of the palace would cease. Thinking of that task though makes me feel regret in retrospect.

The constant small batches of fertilizer being ordered by Jao…I should have put it together that it was going to be used for that awful day I nearly lost my Little Wolf! Then I remember how if I did, I would have never known the truth he told me in the end. The divining of the bone, this was all clearly the Will of Heaven that this would happen for it needed to occur.

“Heaven speaks not, it is the cosmic law of the universe and manifests itself in the conduct of both nature and beast," that was how First High Alpha Ysengrim framed it in his rule of the days when he dueled the Fox, Reynard, in high antiquity. It was all very much like the force of Anim.

I was taking the time to study the wolf classics in the aftermath of the fall of Jao. In fact, on the same day, I received the garments for my entitlement while I was in the middle of reading the Book of Changes, a text I had long wished to read but had never gotten the chance to previously.

Yosef asked what the difference was with this one compared to the other ones I was in the process of reading. Honestly, I was surprised such a text did not reach the Cult of Muni as of yet, after all, its such an ancient text, so old that no one knows how old it could be. Last conjecture was from nine thousand years to ten.

I can see that moment as clear as day, he was taken aback by such a large age range and sat there in thought. I could see him bring up the current date 3081 A.A and subtracting from nine thousand and then him exclaiming, “THAT'S NEARLY SIXTY CENTURIES BEFORE THE CHIMERA CAME!"

“Shush! It's late, Yosef, you'll wake up the whole harem," he did not even respond and rushed over, snatching the text from my hands, “Is there any military info in this!?" he frenziedly asked, which caused me to snicker.

“Yosef, I am shocked you even became a monk, you should have been a general," he was too busy flipping through it and its vague entries before stopping and reading aloud one of them perplexed as to what he was looking at.

“Six at six, divided, shows us the city walls returned into the moat. It is not the time to use the army. May, indeed, announce his orders to the people of his own city; but however correct and firm he may be, he will have cause for regret," Yosef finished and then looked at me, deeply confused.

“That's just how it is, it's old and vague and full of arcane symbolism."

“I can get that Xan…but what are these lines here?" he pointed to the adjoining image of a hexagram comprised of broken and unbroken lines, which I explained to him before asking where they came from.

“It's said the first human being formed them, all that's certain is that its was kept throughout the ages because it contains the inner workings of the cosmos."

I would later send off a copy to Manetho who gratefully took it and added to the old scriptorium. I could not help but to miss it in a small way, but my love for Ulric was worth everything and having nearly lost him I felt even more bonded to him. Overprotective? Maybe, but that's not for me to decide. This is not the medium for musings on myself and actions.

The pride I felt with the honor was great. Often, I would wake up in the middle of the night just to look at the coronet, place it on my head and stand there in total silence, taking in the feeling of just wearing it. Part of me understood why Gao'ao would wear her great headdress despite it being reserved for ceremonial rites.

On the first day of every week, all of the Ranked Consorts and Concubines, both human and wolf, would come and pay good tidings to Her Highness in a familial pack rite. She would wear her ornate and heavy headdress despite this being a small scale event. I would be by her side due to me being pretty much in her service.

Now soon, I would be no longer. I would be among those who have their seats reserved in such meetings along with the others during such events from now on. Still beneath her but no longer her butler. No more would I be forced to degrade myself by washing her paws and massaging her mother during visits to her arrogant daughter.

One of the other reasons for preparing for my investiture was furbishing of my own palatial compound, 'My very own courtyard palace,' was the thought in my mind. It would be nothing of the scale of Gao'ao's Abode of Regal Standing, being that she, as head of the Harem, it is her prerogative, so that was to be expected. Hereto the only comparable residence was the 'Dwelling of Lofty Clouds,' of Alpha Dowager Nu.

Of the Grand Names of dwellings in this city-like palace, that of my own was to be called 'Court of the Loyal Savior,' I was with my handsome Alpha when he decreed that was to be its name. He issued that Prime Gamma, Chu Hege, that friend of my wolf father and known for his calligraphy, to do the placard to be raised on the eaves of the central structure.

It was during this singular event which I noticed something odd: Chu Hege was hesitant. First he offered up polite excuses of his being too aged to wield the large brush for such a board. Ulric, being that sweet naive wolf he was, believed this claim and sent him a gift of cooling peppermint salve for his joints so that he would not be deprived of his most cherished hobby.

When a few days later, Chu was in the presence of Ulric, he was bidden to stay after a conference of the most senior members of the government: Titus and his groups. Ulric first asked about the middle-aged wolf's health since giving him the ointment. Chu said he was much better to which Ulric pressed him to do my palace sign.

Chu looked cornered but had managed to keep his cool as he gave pheromones of slight unease when he tried to form a retort. He, being rather quick-thinking, did not keep his Alpha waiting long. The wolven bureaucrat thus fell to his knees and spoke out with the most solemn ritual reference.

“This low wolf official cannot!" Ulric, perplexed, inquired as to why he would reject such a request. “Imperial Alpha, I cannot, for it is improper. He is a human! For a wolf to do the bidding of a human is contrary to the natural order! This is why I cannot carry out your august decree of me. I am a worthless wolf!"

Ulric found such a remark deeply offensive, so much so that his hackles were raised, “Can you not make an exception!? This human you speak of is the one that made sure your Imperial Alpha lives still!" such boldness was unexpected for Chu, for he had to have assumed that like before when facing an obstacle, Ulric would back down.

The two went back and forth, with Chu resorting to quoting the words of the First Wolf and Ysengrim, to which Ulric retorted on how his Grandfather the Alpha Lycan would have granted his human such an honor, if not more, bringing up Lycan's favored human Yaya as precedence with his burial being a grand affair which no human prior had was granted.

Chu, defeated and at a loss of how to argue any further, relinquished and assured he would carry out his Alpha's request. Dillian was by Ulric's side and witnessed this and it was him that told me of this first and fully. Chu was firmly against me, that was what I clearly gleamed from this, and so he was grouped with Titus as a threat to me. Another chauvinist wolf that I had to guard against.

I was, in no capacity, astonished at this. After all, was it not Chu who found the idea of a human having good handwriting unbelievable those years back when Gernan made a wager with him over it?

“Chu Hege wants to do away with me as well!" I said in a huff at the seemingly maturation of a faction against my every being, whether I saved their Alpha or not! Yosef, taken by surprise at seeing me in such a state, having just come from the very encounter during which Dillian revealed this to to me.

“Who, what?"

“Name matters not! For he's but another mutt that shall bite upon my ankles!" still furious at hearing about what Chu Hege had said about me, my pride hurt at being labeled as just a human, not even an ounce of respect and I was fuming at it all.

“Damn these wolves! They are all forming up a battle line against me and I've done nothing yet! I need allies, I need them now!"

“Xan, while you were away, Maria came bearing a message from a petty wolf official," Yosef told further of how it was given to Maria, by my wolven foster sisters, who had received if from said wolf who called upon them in their new dwellings restored to them after being recalled from their exile.

“Its good to see that there's an effective path of communication from the outside," I muttered, while taking the paper from Yosef's hand and opened it up. It was a terse dispatch. I will quote it here in full from memory.

To the most brave Human Talent, Iskander of the Koff clan,"

Grand Salutations to you, Sire, for your daringness to snatch from the claws of danger our most August Imperial Alpha, saving our Empire from the wickedness of that vile Jao."

To your coming entitlement, I give most splendid acclaim. I heard his Eminence, the Prime Beta, was of issue to not grant you such a reward. He must have been muddle-headed from his nearness to death."

Lowly scribal Beta, Saab Quong of the office of the Prime Gamma."

“What does it say, Xan?" Yosef asked, eager to know what it said himself. Handing it to him, I let him read it as I took a seat on my lacquered couch, pondering something which had taken hold of my mind. The name, I had heard it before but I could not place it and was attempting to find it.

“That butcher's pup!" I declared, abruptly causing Yosef to jump with mild surprise and followed with confused look on his face.

“It's him! That wolf!" I said, having stood up and took back the note again to reread it with the knowledge that I now knew who wrote it. “I saw him at her Highness' new years greeting to the court," I explained to Yosef, who, though still quite perplexed, was understanding what I was meaning.

Could this be an ally?" I thought to myself as the annoyance of Chu's act of moral puritanism against me subsided and was replaced by a sense of feeling of this being the start of the building of my own faction. I then quickly put down a reply thanking him for his words along with veiled mentions of patronage in the form of an idiom.

A growing tree needs firm ground to be tall," if this wolf was clever, he would see clearly my meaning, if not, then I shall find others who would be better for my survival in this den of wolves. I would not be disappointed though, it was clear to me from his composition he was no dull claw.

The day had dawned for my elevation. I was only able to sleep briefly, for I could not take the waiting much longer, the anticipation of it all was strumming through me. Hours before dawn, I was to start preparing. A bath was drawn for me in my quarters and I sat in its perfumed waters, cleansing my body. Yosef was there with me and further more, I was joined by four others sent to be of assistance. Two human males and two female wolves, who performed their duties silently, helping me up and enclosing a towel around me once I had gotten up from the waters.

Outside in the palace, things were prepared for the small rite of my promotion. Dillian, as the acting envoy of Ulric, waited for the set hour after daybreak when he would come to me and give me Ulric's bidding and guide me to my new residential compound.

Though that was later, first I was dressed. I initialy dressed myself in the undergarments of white linen, finishing with a linen under shirt. One of the Humans approached to start the task but Yosef wished to take charge of this and waved him off.

Once all was done, Yosef reverently placed my coronet upon my brow. He looked at me with an expression of felicity and I could only do the same back at him. Then came the waiting, the waiting for the auspicious hour to come. I sat, hands folded in my lap and eyes closed, taking the moment to meditate on it all. My thoughts were only of Ulric, my wolf who I loved most dear.

Hours passed and the sun dawned its rays.

“Human Talent Koff!" the sound of Dillian's pitched voice bellowed out, the time had come. Yosef helped me up and walked me out to the sight of Dillian and a small processional made of twin fan-bearers and a sole canopy-bearer for my use.

Then the walk to my new compound, it was no grand affair. The paths were deserted all the way there, as was the custom for this. Then the entering my own courtyard palace was the rite to conclude.

Before my hall, I knelled and received my seal and the badge of status and paid my thanks to the command for my promotion in a formal statement that was rehearsed to me days before by the Master of Palace Ceremonies' Deputy.

There, it was all concluded and finished. Dillian took time to lead me within my newly prepared palace with Yosef drawn near to me. Within a small company of servants, all human were knelt. They paid greetings to me in unison. Dillian whispered to me, “I made sure none of them have any form of link with Nu or Gao'ao"

I nodded in reply as Dillian then spoke aloud.

“Now, sire, Alpha Dowager Nu expects you to pay homage to her later this afternoon and his Imperial Majesty has desires for this evening for you to come serve him," the bear withdrew and left me and the others. Taking a seat upon the small low throne in the audience foray, I gave peace to my household to rise and asked of who they are.

A fellow human who was most prominent in the group, a man with dark hair and light complexion came forward, bowing curtly with respect, “I am Boris, your household manager."

“Boris? You don't happen to be Maria's Boris?"

He smiled, giving away the answer, “Yes, Maria is my wife. Or my mate, as the wolves would put it," surprised and wondering how he was here and now employed for me, he responded saying. “One might say I got transferred or promoted. My Maria as well, for she now manages the laundry department itself,"

I had not seen Maria in a week so this news had not reached me until now. Dillian had chosen well, I was most pleased and assured with this turn of events.

Boris waved off the others, who went out to their stations or quarters in my small compound, “Well, Boris, it's most pleasant to finally meet the one who has married Maria," I said, eager to inquiry of Maria's being. Boris said she was thankful for not having to blister her hands with washing anymore, which I laughed at.

I then told him I knew her from Safehaven, he rolled his eyes and said that he was told all of that when she rushed back to him and told him how she found the little boy from her home island all grown in the palace.

After Boris withdrew himself after we talked, I took the time with Yosef to view our accommodations and also change into something more casual. My thoughts were on the evening, the word serve the Alpha raced across my mind and I wondered if it would be what I hoped…I had to sit down from a churning in my stomach at the thought and images it presented and the way it made my loins tighten.

Though greeting Nu was standing before that, which did not help me feel better. I knew that once that was done with, I could return to waiting and dreaming about the coming night and the idea that maybe tonight I would finally be his.

“Yosef, lets go and pay our greetings to the Alpha Dowager. Best to do that task now and washed off our hands," my mind was also forming plots and schemes, and though being in her presence was not something I wished, I was going to use it to my benefit in the long game. Gao'ao and Dowager Nu, pitting them against each other would be good for me. It would make them all focused on one another instead of me. Meanwhile, I would play both sides, helping it along.

This is why after paying my obeisance to her and laying on subtle compliments, I told her of what Gao'ao had said of the Kutlar Clan, that of being totally inferior to the likes of her own. This raised the elder wolfess' ears right up. She kept her stone-faced countenance though, but those ears gave away her great interest in what I had revealed. I knew from this alone I had started the whole thing going and from henceforth only needed to prod it from time to time to keep it going.

“She said that, huh? I knew she was always an arrogant pup but never knew she would be as foolhardy as to say such lese-majeste. Thank you for bringing this to light," she reached out her paw and placed over my hand.

“Your Highness is the Imperial Mother of the Pack. I'm simply doing that which I should," I responded as I took my other hand and paced it atop her paw, giving it a subtle squeeze and a flirtatious look. I knew she lusted for me and felt I could also use this to my benefit as well, so why not?

I was most pleased with myself when I left. Yosef saw what I was doing and he walked out besides me with a smug look on his face as if to say to me, 'you're good'.

A shrill voice interrupted us before we could begin to take another step, ambushing us from a corner, “Well, look who comes before me? Baldy!" It was Siao, who looked in no form amused and red with hidden anger.

“Greetings unto Noble Consort Siao, may peace be upon you sire," I flatly uttered without pause while taking a crouched kneeling position to him. Remembering what happened last time, I was not going to let the snide bastard take from me any slip in decorum to humiliate me and get off on it.

“Ah, I see you still remember that I still outrank you! Good! I was worried you would have it all go your head and think you are the master of the place."

then another voice interrupted, looking, it was a well-dressed she-wolf clearly of rank in the harem.

“Dear harem brother Siao, bullying your inferiors I see," she mockingly said as she approached. Siao's face grew more sour at having what was clearly another rival and one of equal rank to him butt in on his scene. He left in a huff without so much as a further word or even a greeting to the she-wolf.

I did not have to guess who this wolf was, it had to be Consort Kun, who up to this point was indisposed from her swollen teats due her recent litter. This was my first encounter with her and I wondered what she would do now.

She bid me rise and, still not knowing her temperament, kept my head low, not wishing to commit any offense, “You are Iskander right? I thought so," she said calmly but warmly.

“You do bear a passing resemblance to Siao. Do not mind him, he's not much since Jao has died. But I must be on my way, the Imperial Mate desires to speak with me," Kun sighed, finding such a request a bother considering how Gao'ao was.

I was left unsure of Kun's position in regards to me. I could tell she was not against me but she was not for me either. Which is not shocking in retrospect, considering she was a female wolf in the Eastern Harem and had the gain of having issue with the Alpha. I felt as if I was not much of a matter to her, which was good, for the last thing I needed was another wolf insider to be opposed to me.

Dillian was on my side, that I was sure of. If I could draw out the factions in the court it would go as a follows.

The Titus partisans, of whom have links to Nu and Gao'ao as well as Princess Selene.

Then there is what could be best termed as Alpha Loyalists, which Dillian is part of and I would claim myself of that group as well. Of course, Titus' is the one that was currently reigning supreme. Dillian, though uncertain at first, had by now seen me as an ally in his desire to protect his Alpha.

He once admitted that due to him being castrated and thus never will be a father, looked upon Ulric as a son and his sole reason for living is seeing him happy.

“That's why you fetched me to make Ulric feel better on his wedding night to Gao'ao," I said to him and his bearish eyes gave me a knowing look back.

“He did not need to even ask for you, I just knew how much he looks up to you and knew you would make him feel better."

“That night you stopped me and demanded what my aim was…" I asked aloud, my voice trailing off as I brought up that incident. The ursine groaned, showing some embarrassment at his actions and explained himself.

“I am sure you see now, the factions in the government. I was worried you were going to exploit His Majesty like all the others. It didn't reassure me you were brought in by Her Highness' orders, she-"

I finished what he was saying for him, knowing well of things, “Is one of them?"

He nodded his head silently, “There is only so much an ursine eunuch can do, even one of my high ranking. Wolves do not like meddling in pack affairs by non-wolves. I'm sure you know then reason well for this if you know anything about the Late High Alphate."

“The Fox Republic using a minor debt from High Alpha Toghon to sack Nutag and make the Alphate into a puppet for their mercantile ventures?" I asked confidently and he gave me a nod with an approving gleam in his brown ursine eyes.

“That was almost four hundred years ago and caused so much conflict, so naturally they are paranoid of such things," the bear opened his maw and gave a sigh. “I am but only one ursine as well. There are only limited actions I can perform to protect my Alpha from these leeches," he then stopped, turned to me and looked me in the eye from his tall stature.

“That, Xander, is why I was so distressed at you. I was certain you were another leech and knowing how much Ulric looks up to you, the idea of thinking you were another was a betrayal. I am glad I was wrong."

This conversation occurred in a moment after the time before my elevation to Concubine rank. During one of the moments when I performing my Talent duties, of changing the Alpha's bedsheets during my rotation of that duty, Dillian would supervise me and we would converse.

He was a good bear truly. He cared for his Alpha as much as I did.

Now, I shall recount the day I was made Ulric's bedmate officially. It was mentioned before the same day I was put up to my new rank, a pseudo-wedding night I would like to call it in retrospect, for I went into it viewing it as such, as did Little Wolf.

The time came and Dillian arrived with four other ursines and a small sedan to ferry me to the Reclining Lupine Hall, which waited for me in my courtyard. I had dressed beforehand in something loose and easy to remove. I did not bother with undergarments, only wearing a handsome brocade gown, my shoulders exposed and covered only by a gauze stole.

Two Urines came in along with Dillian, bearing a bronze basin containing that of the Alpha's fresh urine and a third, wielding a fabric-tipped dabber to mark me with my Alpha's scent on me.

My shoulders, my upper pectorals and the nape of my neck were stamped with the potent fluid of my Ulric. The smell was sour and strong but it was what made me his human. It filled me with pride and made me feel all tight inside.

When this was all done and I was deposited at the doors of Ulric's chambers, I took a deep breath before opening the wooden doors and entered my Little Wolf's chambers, knowing he was waiting for me filled with excitement as well.

I did not even have to find him, the wolf waiting at near the doors once I opened it, “Xan!" he cried out and lifted up waiting paws for an embrace, which I rushed into, burying my face into his loosely enrobed chest, which allowed for my nose to slide past the fabric and into his chest fur. It smelled so lovely the mild canine musk layered with woodsy scented oils rubbed on his pelt.

Ulric's wet nose pressed into my bare shoulders, sniffing his own scent on me. Instantly, I felt a prodding near by abdomen. I was not in the dark about what it was that was emerging, and pulling away from his lean chest, I looked up into his muzzle above me with a coy grin.

He pulled at me, my garments falling to the wayside. I pulled at his own, exposing more of his chest in the lamp light. Human kisses from me and wolf licks from him abounded as we danced, arms in arms.

“I love you, Little Wolf"

“I've been waiting for this so long, Xan"

Seeing the top-most row of nipples of the handsome Alpha wolf's chest, I leaned in and kissed them, eliciting pelvic thrusts from the wolf as his member grew and its fiery-hued surface glistened in the light as it rubbed against my bare stomach.

I was leaned backwards into the cushioned bed, Ulric gently lowering my form rather than just pushing me back without care for me. Oh, the sight from my position was one that caused me to go fully erect at once.

Ulric's full lupine body with wagging tail was before me, beyond the rounds of my knees. His chest was lean; not muscular but toned and defined, and still much more powerful than me, the weak human laying before him, ready to be knotted by his Alpha.

The rows of nipples were visible in full due to his thinner spring coat of fur exposing them. I wished to give each one a kiss and maybe a nibble.

Crowning it all was the shoulders and muzzled face of my Ulric. His maw was open, panting with eager excitement, his blue eyes darting up and down my own bare body, my supple, smooth skin waiting for him. He said nothing, but I could understand what he was saying without saying it 'Where do I start, there is so much I want to do?' was what I read from him.

“Ulric, Alpha. Mate me, this is the first of many!" I cried out to answer him as I felt my pre-fluid dribble down the side of my own member. On cue, he threw my legs over his shoulder, the sensation of fur under my calves thrilled me even more as he drew near my waiting entrance with his imperial member. Closing my eyes, I waited with growing excitement for the moment of meeting between his into mine. I could just scream out how I needed it now, but bit my tongue.

When Ulric's pointed tip did make contact with my orifice, it did not even have to make an entrance for me to let out a moan of desire. Near wild for him, I shoved down my body to force it in myself, not content to wait anymore; I needed it now!

Everything for us was enfolded in a haze of semi-lucidity of our amorous movements. Flashes of memory, visions, smells and sensations coming and going. Arching my back upwards and thrusting my face for a kiss into his neck fur before letting go and free-falling back. Him thrusting again and again, faster and faster. My hands going down to my own member to rub it in moments of my own vigor that ebbed and flowed according to the individual intrusions of the wolf's hefty pointed phallus. I felt his padded hand-paws with clawed tips run all over my rapidly rising and falling chest. I grabbed a corner of the yellow silk bedding and clenched down on it in anticipation for my own feelings of eruption.

I went first, the battering made me unable to take it anymore. I came, arched back, clawing at the sheets and eyes rolling back in my head.

Moments later, he came too, and the force of his shots within me choked on the very air itself! The powerful spurts of his seed were square on that same sensitive area deep within me that was battered earlier.

Ulric let loose a howl of passion which must have been heard across the entire palace city. This was not the end though, for my body was not to get a reprieve, for the bulbs of his knot rapidly swelled, locking wolf with human firmly as one, and Ulric gave slower and slower thrusts, winding down and falling upon my chest.

Panting and panting was all we did for a good long time after this. We did not even try to unhook ourselves, knowing it was pointless and also not wishing to, due to desires to hold one another.

We stayed that way for half an hour, after having both scooted as one into the full space of the bed and rolling sideways into a more comfortable interlocked position of both of our forms. I finally found my voice and only managed to say a few disjointed words.

“Ulric…Little Wolf…Love…"

He said nothing himself but replied with actions, nuzzling my neck and giving it a light nip with his twin canines. The two of us stayed there for much longer than normal, even after the knot had gone down and he could thus remove himself, we were both so exhausted that he only removed from himself from me through action of his member going fully down and back within its sheath.

I was Ulric's now, officially. I was his! I had found my life partner.

Not only that but anyone with ears in the palace, be it human or chimera also knew. This was only the beginning.
