I pitched the idea of doing something like that to him since he was winding down the series and spinning it off into redwing. i forget who thought of it first, but the idea is basically two characters doin' it in the captain's chair.

Currently, redwing station only had a few phase cannons up and working. there was nothing for launching torpedoes. or tri-cobalt devices. so, they were remedying that. the launchers were already in place. they just hadn't been hooked up to anything.

The other half (mortimer and seldovia, milka and benji, and himself and prancer) was still aboard redwing station, biding their time. waiting to hear from the away team. there wasn't much to be done today.

(i thought i'd take a brief break from my luminous/redwing relaunch 'universe' and do a short story. i haven't done any in a while. as usual, it's very romantic and passionate, and features two of my long-time leads. i hope it's enjoyable!)
