It was his first flight to chicago in the newly obtained warbird. trimmed up properly, rob found the lightning flew straight and level, requiring only a minimal amount of input to keep on course. the morning turbulence was nonexistent.

The rare german warbird was an ominous looking plane; it was painted in a matte black paint scheme, with a black and white spiral pattern on its spinner, and white stenciled luftwaffe markings, including an ominous swastika on the tail.
