March 2025 - The Last Musketeer
Hi there, this is my entry to the writers' crossing monthly prompts for march 2025. the prompt we had to work with this time was: “he challenged fate and won, but fate has a long memory and an even longer reach.”
Some Kind of Monster
This month the writer's crossing discord had a one year anniversary challenge to finish a work that has been dropped by the wayside. my mind immediately went to this, and i knew what had to be done.
Jar Jar's Bizarre Adventure - Exodus - Chapter 2
After some encouragement from writers' crossing, i opted to diverge further from the film's muddled pacing. i tried to balance this with what's said in the film, hopefully casting a new light onto what we do know transpired.
Dana's Elusive Trick
Submission to writer's crossing prompts by royal serperior. prompt: dana is trick or treating by herself this year.
Radio Land - "Brave New World"
Originally i'd wanted to submit this to writers' crossing's first anthology, themed around exploration, but i just couldn't do it. i didn't want to force it and mar the anthology with my sub-par piece.
Put Me in the Trash
A story by terry echoes () for the march writer's crossing prompt. there were a few nice new products on sale at klyder's department store that quarter, but the lime jello marshmallow cottage cheese surprise was not one of them.
Lost Shades
Second, this is not my first attempt with this month's writer's crossing prompt.
Put Me in the Trash
This was my submission for writers' crossing's 2022 march writing prompt. i don't know how i cranked this out as quickly as i did, though having a smaller limit on length than usual might've helped. this one's for anyone who's had to suffer in retail.
Through the Window
A writing server i'm in, writer's crossing, has begun trying out writing prompts again. therefore, i thought it a good excuse to whip myself into shape and get back into practice with writing.
