“Conner! How long are you going to be in there!?" Daniella hissed from the kitchen as she heard a loud metal clang on marble sound and Conner fired off a string of curses in english and draconic.

“Could you give me a few more minutes… I dropped a fucking wrench on my foot!" Conner shouted.

Daniella heard something else fall “Can you please let me concentrate!" Conner shouted.

Daniella padded into the garage and looked at Conner who appeared to be adjusting himself before looking behind him causing her jaw to drop. “Heard you wanted a Mustang so I got you one." Conner said with a grin.

It was a black 2023 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 and Daniella jumped into Conner's arms and kissed him.

Daniella shook her head before snapping her fingers causing her body to be covered in clothes that resembled her scales in a way. She jumped into the Mustang and started it, the engine roared to life and she jumped in her seat slightly before looking at Conner with wide reptilian eyes. Conner grinned at her before he tapped his wrist screen causing the Dodge Charger to roar to life. Conner jumped into his Charger and they both took off out of the garage.

It was close to sunset when a few beach goers heard and saw two blacked out super and turbocharged V8 muscle cars with raised spoilers roll onto the sand.

Conner jumped out of his Charger, “What did you want to show me so badly?" he said as he closed the driver door and began approaching the open driver door of the Mustang he had followed onto the sand “And where the fuck did you learn to drive like that?" he added in a slightly shocked tone.

“Well watching you drive certainly helped but my father insisted I get a drivers license just in case." Daniella smiled as she returned to her dragon form.

Conner walked towards the water and the Charger rolled behind him but stopped just before the wall of wet sand, Daniella walked up behind him and sat on her haunches before wrapping her forelegs loosely around his neck with her forepaws crossed over his chest and rested her head on top of his.

Conner chuckled when he felt her tail rest over the top of his feet “Protective of our possessions are we?" Conner teased.

Conner felt Daniella tighten her grip slightly before she extended her wings out and hugged him with those too. Being held in her grasp wasn't suffocating in the slightest if anything it brought Conner an immense amount of comfort, she may have been a little clingy at times but if Conner wanted his space she would give it to him without much question. Conner wasn't a fan of the fact that Daniella tried to be the protector in the relationship but she was stronger and larger than him although he was a better fighter and had a number of ridiculously powerful weapons at his disposal so he was more of the protector in a sense but he would let her feel like the protector for now.

Conner felt the dragon tense and he noticed a group of people approaching, 'oh boy' he thought to himself as he saw a few of them pull out knives before reaching under his shirt and pulling out a small metal plate and shrugging Daniella off, Daniella began to snarl as the group picked up their pace towards them. Conner squeezed the metal plate causing it to form into a Scar-H battle rifle, he pulled the charging handle back and put his finger on the trigger and grasped the foregrip tightly.

“This rifle holds thirty rounds and it's currently loaded with armour piercing rounds so I'd suggest you rethink your decision before all twelve of you are dead on the sand." Conner said in a forceful and menacing tone.

Conner raised the rifle and the whole group turned on their heels and ran, Conner put a suppressor on before shooting one shot into the sand in front of the group. “That was your only warning, you won't hear the next shot before it's too late." Conner shouted as he lowered his rifle. Conner grumbled to himself as he turned around to find a very shocked and startled dragoness staring at him.

“Oh shit… that's an issue I kinda forgot about." Conner said as he quickly stashed the rifle back under his shirt.

“What… the… fuck?" Daniella said in bewilderment.

“You really thought I wasn't going to do more with nanotechnology?" Conner questioned with a raised brow.

Daniella sighed “Slightly surprised that you were so nonchalant about killing twelve people." Daniella said in a shocked tone.

“Slightly is an understatement and when people experience situations like that their fight or flight instinct will kick in and I've found out that my brain choses fight over flight." Conner said dryly.

Daniella and Conner moved a few kilometers down the beach before watching the sunset like Daniella had wanted in the first place. Daniella sighed once the sun had finally set and pulled Conner into a very passionate kiss exploring his mouth with her tongue. Conner stood on the balcony connected to his bedroom and looked up at the starry night sky and smiled. Conner awoke in complete darkness, he blinked his eyes a few times and was extremely confused. He stood up and couldn't shake the feeling of being watched. He could have sworn he fell asleep in his bedroom in Daniella's grasp.

Conner began aimlessly walking around in the darkness before he grew frustrated “Fuck this!" Conner exclaimed as he opened his hand causing it to combust into a bright flame, after he conjured the flame he noticed something in the darkness that caused him to freeze.

“You are quite the impressive Elemental!" the voice boomed in a very deep and masculine but very inhuman voice from everywhere around him.

Conner stood his ground as he saw a massive creature move just outside the light of his flame. The creature stood on two legs with three toed clawed feet and was at least sixty feet long from nose to tail tip and its head seemed to be about twenty feet off the ground and it had a speckled strip of red bioluminescence running across the side of its body from behind its ear hole to the tip of its tail, it turned its head and he saw its eyes, they were crimson red and reptilian. The creature was covered in a paint splatter pattern of red bioluminescence along the underside of its neck and its under belly. The creature looked to be a theropod dinosaur sort of resembling a t-rex in a way but its arms were longer and had three fingers and a thumb with massive claws and quills jutting out from its elbows and the back of its neck. The creature let out an unearthly sound almost like a tiger chuffing but much slower and much deeper.

“He has many plans for you, father!" Conner saw the creature's mouth move in time with the words. 'Wait? What!? Did it just call me father?!' Conner thought to himself “Who the fuck has plans for me and who the hell are you calling father?!" Conner said loudly in a tone laced with suspicion.

The creature scoffed before moving closer to the light “You act like you don't understand, God has plans for you and I am merely your unborn child he is using to more easily talk to you!" The creature regarded him with a smirk that reminded him of Daniella. “The fossils you have been collecting… come on father!" the creature said in a slightly annoyed tone.

“No…." Conner said in disbelief as the realization hit him. “I am successful?" Conner asked.

The creature just chuckled before making that chuffing sound again. “This may be just a 'dream' but you only ever saw a white one in the movie, never a black one with teeth that weren't crooked." the creature chuckled again “See you soon… father… tell mother I said hi when you wake up." the creature said before disappearing into the shadows, leaving Conner to try and wrap his head around what he just experienced!

“What… the… fuck!?" Conner said aloud into the darkness and rolled his eyes when he heard a distant and deep chuckling.

Conner was about to call out again when everything faded and he awoke in darkness once again but this time he could see faint light bleeding through the object covering him revealing the spider web of veins in the 'blanket' over him.

Daniella awoke with a start “What the fuck…?" she muttered under her breath as she began recalling such a strange dream, the booming deep voice, the distant flame, the massive creature covered in red bioluminescence and Conner's voice. She heard a conversation between Conner and this creature, a dinosaur. 'It called him father….' she thought to herself.

“Say hi to mother for me…." Conner muttered under his breath in confusion from under her wing.

“What?" Daniella said more out of shock than confusion.

“Oh nothing… just a really fucking weird dream." Conner said quietly.

Conner began shifting in the dragon's grasp before he realized something “Am I still inside you?" Conner questioned in surprise.

“Apparently so." Daniella chuckled.

“Sample extraction successful, all components of the genome have been collected. Ready to synthesize and incubate the egg when you are, sir." the AI chimed into Conner's ear. 'Some timing to have a dream like that.' Conner thought to himself as he pulled out of Daniella.

Daniella frowned as she looked at Conner's left shoulder, there was a massive scar in the shape of a dragon's mouth, her mouth. The nanites and Conner's superior healing factor to that of a regular human had closed up the wound almost perfectly but failed to prevent scar tissue from forming.

Conner noticed her frown and felt across his left pec and shoulder before sighing “Did I say I wasn't mad?" Conner said sternly “Please do not dwell on that… I'm fine!" Conner huffed before hugging Daniella tightly.

“Alright… I think we should get cleaned up, the smell of sex is still quite rich in the air." Conner said as he got off the bed before grabbing his hat and a towel.

“I concur." Daniella said with a flick of her tail as she followed Conner to the basement.

Conner stepped into the secret room in the garage before entering a hallway, Conner's footsteps echoed across the marble flooring and reinforced concrete walls that were painted white as he approached an elevator before pressing the call button. The door opened and he stepped in, he pressed a button that had B4 on it for basement level four. His garage had five levels and each could hold twenty cars per level. The garage itself could probably hold a total of one hundred thirty cars, one hundred twenty with a semi truck because the main floor garage had much more open space so he could work on his cars and the bottom floor had a lot of open space and a large turnaround area and elevator for a semi truck.

Conner poked his head into the fifth level garage and smiled at the behemoth parked in the centre of the marble floored garage. It was a blacked out Longnose Peterbilt semi truck with a sleeper cab and an eighty foot armoured trailer. He had actually based it off of the MOC from GTA V. Like all of his vehicles, the windows were one way and had a slight tint, about fifteen percent just to darken the glass slightly, Conner had done it more for aesthetics rather than practicality because one way provided more than enough privacy.

Conner stepped back into the secret facility in his home and walked down a few corridors before he approached a handprint lock. Conner pressed his hand to the reader and opened the door. The room was filled with extremely high tech lab equipment, Conner approached a computer and typed away at the computer navigating to a program before he pulled something out of his pocket.

“Sir, the nanites were able to extract a healthy egg cell and sperm cell." the AI said.

“Oh she's gonna kill me." Conner chuckled to himself as he placed the object in a machine next to the computer.

“Analyzing samples. Genome complete. Simulating creature appearance." a monotone feminine robotic voice said aloud.

Conner just about fell over when he saw the creature's simulated appearance on the computer monitor, it looked identical to the creature from his dream.

“The Indominus rex embryo has been synthesized." the machine said in a monotone voice.

Conner stared into the creature's red eyes, they looked so much like Daniella's.

The creature's black scales and red paint splatter pattern on its underbelly and sides gave him a good idea for a draconic title “Black Death." he said aloud to himself before snapping his head over to the machine as it hissed out air. He could come up with a name for it with Daniella later, he was gonna have to tell her eventually.

The machine spat out a large black egg with a red speckled pattern, possibly three times bigger than his head. He picked up the egg and walked it over to another machine in the room before placing it in the machine and closing the glass door and tapping a few buttons.

“Estimated incubation time… five weeks."

Conner sighed “Whatever, can't rush it too much." Conner chuckled as he pulled a cover over the incubator's glass to hide the massive egg.

“I will let you know when the egg is six hours away from hatching so you have time to get here." The sentient AI said in his ear piece.

“Thanks computer." Conner said with a smile as he walked out of the room causing the automatic lights to shut off.

Two weeks later…

“Well… how likely is it that he actually decided to commit to going to the gym twice a week?" Kyle said with a chuckle to the young adult wearing blue framed glasses next to him as they entered the gym they had a membership at.

“Fifty fifty chance although with her breathing down his neck in more ways than one now I doubt she'd let him chicken out." Connor chuckled as he pushed his long brown hair out of his eyes and readjusted his glasses.

Connor and Kyle snapped their heads to the sound of shouting “Ten more reps or my tail is going up your ass!" the voice shouted in heavily inhuman accented english but it was clear it was female.

They saw a large fit male on the bench press with a black dragoness around twice his size with a dark red underbelly and red paint splatter patterning on the underside of her neck spotting as the human burst into tear filled laughter. Kyle and Connor immediately recognized the pair.

“Your tail will do no such thing, hun!" Conner said through his laughter as the dragoness smirked down at him.

“You think I'm kidding…?" Daniella said with a smirk and a raised eye ridge.

Conner's eyes went wide and purple and his veins instantly bulged and began glowing a faint neon purple causing Daniella's veins and eyes to pulse the same colour.

“Hey! That's cheating!" Daniella whined in exaggerated frustration as Conner quickly did ten reps before shooting off the bench press bench.

Conner whipped around before speaking “My asshole is exit only! Thank you very much!" he said a little louder then he should have but he didn't give a flying fuck what people thought.

“Hey Conner!" the slightly shorter white male called to the taller white male next to the dragon “You stuck to it?" Connor added with a grin.

“Oh fuck off!" Conner responded with a chuckle.

Kyle and Connor walked over to the dragon and human couple “Have you seen the shit in Ukraine?" Kyle asked in a surprised tone.

“The damn Russians aren't giving up." Conner grumbled angrily “They've committed enough war crimes to fill a highschool textbook." Conner added exaggerating the details but sadly only slightly exaggerating.

Connor and Kyle finished up their workouts before meeting up with Daniella and Conner in a local park to continue their banter.

Kyle grumbled as he pulled up a few news articles “The nuclear threat continues to get worse as well, the US is very concerned that North Korea might actually launch one."

Conner just sighed as he tapped away at his laptop “Sir, the code seems to line up perfectly. All I need is close proximity to their power grid and everything is mine. The virus can wreak havoc on their digital network while you destroy the ground forces." The AI said into Conner's ear, his friends and girlfriend were none the wiser as to what he was planning. Conner typed a command to the AI on his computer

-I need you to tap into their network so I can avoid shooting people who aren't twisted or sick in the head.

“Affirmative. Kill list has been created."

“Earth to Conner!" Daniella jammed her tongue into his ear causing him to yelp and close his laptop. “Have you seen some of the shit North Korea has been doing lately?" Daniella asked with a hint of anger in her tone.

“Oh trust me, I'm well aware. It's getting bad, the way they brainwash their citizens and practically torture those who disobey is disgusting." Conner said with a sigh as his eyes turned a slight crimson before fading back to vivid green.

Daniella rumbled in the back of her throat before fluffing up her wings “I wish people would just pull their heads out of their asses, the nuclear threats are just getting tiring."

Conner just sighed and placed his hand on her shoulder. “I don't really know what to say other than the fact that our house has a pretty sizable fallout bunker that is a good four stories underground."

“Alright, a lighter topic I guess. I heard your dad bought Amazon." Connor said with a chuckle as Conner choked on his own spit.

“That's already public knowledge!?" Conner exclaimed in shock “Fuck he's fast with his deals!" Conner added with a chuckle.

“Also heard that the mining company he owned has been placed into your hands now." Kyle added to the conversation “The MAPRC was it now…? the Mining Aerospace and Paleo Research Company?"

“Yes, the entire mining sector of his company is now a completely separate company founded by me! Also I'm at a point where I could go full Jurassic Park if I wanted to." Conner said with a smile and his smile turned into a grin when his two friends and partner stared at him in disbelief. “I've been cleared for a test launch for one of the prototype spacecraft I've been working on too, completely AI controlled and its launch is in about a month and three days from now." Conner reopened his laptop and pulled up the blueprints for the starship he was cleared to launch. “I've gone with AI piloting because it's better safe than sorry if shit hits the fan." Conner said as he turned his custom built laptop around so Kyle and Connor could see the blueprints.

“I'm waaaay too high to even begin to understand that blueprint, why did I eat that edible and smoke those blunts earlier." Connor grumbled as he took his glasses off and wiped the lenses with his shirt before putting them back on.

The rest of the group began snickering at Connor's antics and Conner just rolled his eyes.

Chapter 16

The new data that came out about the Prime Minister of Canada was shocking, the rigged 2024 election that had the Chinese government all over it wasn't quite the shocking part or the embezzlement of money or the countless acts of treason, it was the drug smuggling, the arms dealing and the human trafficking that were shocking. A lot of Canadians already didn't like that certain political party or its leader but after that came out. Everybody had had enough and one person didn't trust that justice would be served accordingly with how corrupt the Canadian government was at the moment so they had decided to take it upon themself to serve justice.

“Target is leaving the building soon, be ready." a voice chimed into a hooded figure's earpiece.

The man sat on a rooftop of a parking garage and held in his hands a heavily modified blacked out modern design lever action hunting rifle chambered in 30-06 that was based off of a winchester. The entire lower half of the man's face was covered by a black mask that glinted in the dim light of sunset, the beak of a black baseball cap peaked out from under the hood of the black sweater. He looked down the scope of his military grade rifle causing the scope to tap his sunglasses before checking his ammo to make sure they were jacketed hollow points. He made sure the suppressor was secured before training his scope on the front door of the court house again.

“Target is moving to the front door, be advised, multiple innocents will be exiting with him, place your shot well." the voice chimed through the earpiece again. He grumbled before readjusting the grip on his rifle of his black gloved hands.

The front door opened and the shadow on the rooftop found his target “There you are." the man said in a slightly psychotic tone that made it obvious he was smiling as he aimed between the target's eyes and pulled the trigger. The supersonic bullet cracked through the air and he watched the target's head explode in a sickly meaty red explosion almost like a piece of meat detonating in a microwave but much messier. The crowd on the ground dispersed in a panic and the hooded figure dashed towards a blacked out Kawasaki Ninja sport bike, the rifle in his hand deconstructed into a metal plate the size of a smartphone before he tucked it under his shirt and sweater.

He threw off his hood and tapped his mask causing it and his hat to connect and a swarm of nanites exploded from under his sweater forming a helmet.

“Tek Helmet online, lights deactivated, colour scheme: matte black." the AI said in his helmet as he started his bike and cautiously made his way out of the parking complex not wanting to draw attention to himself.

Conner sighed in relief once he parked his bike in the lowest section of the parking garage inside the trailer of his semi truck.

A tv inside the trailer activated showing a news broadcast “Oh fuck… I shot him on live tv. Whoops." Conner said with a crazed chuckle. “Rot in hell you fucking cunt!" Conner added as he began exiting the semi trailer but froze when he heard the news caster add something.

“Police checked security footage of nearby buildings and they noticed a hooded figure wearing all black clothing holding a rifle on top of a parking complex across the street. The suspect was seen leaving the scene on a blacked out sport bike. Police are suspecting the individual is male because of their size and body shape but ethnicity is impossible to tell because he had his entire body covered and the bike had no identifying markings or a license plate. Police aren't even sure where the rifle went because the suspect didn't appear to have it when he was leaving the scene and the rifle was not found anywhere in the vicinity of the crime scene. The police also didn't find a spent casing in the parking complex or anywhere nearby either so the gun was a bolt action or had some other manual rechambering system or the suspect collected the spent brass before fleeing the scene."

“Welp. My bike is going to be staying here for a while." Conner chuckled as he shut off the trailer's electronic systems and closed the side door.

“Sir, I hate to be the bearer of bad news but a heavy snowfall is suspected for tonight and tomorrow. Satellite imaging of the incoming storm is suggesting a minimum of a meter of snow." the AI said.

“A METER!" Conner exclaimed in shock “It's fucking November! What a way to start my twenties!" Conner sighed as he began making his way to the lab inside the facility.

Conner approached the lab door and noticed that the light was on through the door “What the fuck?" Conner whispered to himself as he unlocked the door and stepped in. “Computer? Why are the lights on in here and why is the incubator's cover moved?" Conner said cautiously as he pulled out his Scar heavy.

Conner activated the laser on the side of the weapon and began sweeping the lab with the kind of skill seen by police but not quite as good as a military personnel. “I know you are in here!" Conner said a loud in a tone of voice that made him sound like a psychopath.

“I'm impressed you've gotten this far…." Conner let his words hang in the air “If I find out that any of my genomes have been tampered with or that any paleo research is missing… somebody's gonna be on a missing persons list." Conner said menacingly as his footfalls started sounding like metal on marble rather than a rubber sole on marble.

Conner tapped the collar of his shirt causing nanites to swarm from under and form the metal neck guard and mask as well as a pair of sunglasses. Conner glanced over when the heads up display on his glasses picked up an outline hiding behind a table, the outline of a dragon.

“Ah fuck!" Conner shouted “WHY! HOW DID YOU EVEN…!" Conner exclaimed in anger before calming down quickly and letting his rifle fall from his hands and get caught by the sling over his shoulder.

“Fuck! You are sneaky and this is what I get for not telling you when I should have." Conner grumbled as he made his way over to the transparent dragon.

“Ella, these glasses allow me to see the outline of a living creature through walls. I can see you."

“Why did you do this without my knowledge, Conner?" Daniella grumbled in irritation as she began reappearing.

Conner just turned away with a guilty look in his eyes. “I don't know ok but that egg is a mix of multiple different species of dinosaur along with human and dragon… yours and mine." Conner ended his sentence with a long sigh.

“I thought you didn't want kids?" Daniella said in complete confusion.

Conner chuckled, “I don't, but that… that is different." Conner said as he pointed to the incubator “Human children drive me nuts, I can tolerate hatchlings or gryphon chicks but human babies… no." Conner sighed.

“Should I destroy the egg?" Conner said in a saddened tone.

Daniella reared back and flared out her wings “What!? NO!" she exclaimed in shock.

Conner sighed in relief before taking off his sunglasses and deactivating his mask. He pulled his rifle's sling off his neck and took the mag out and cleared the chamber before putting the ejected cartridge back into the mag and placed it on the table next to him. Conner waved his hand at one of the large screens on the wall closest to them causing the screen to display the simulated appearance of the creature in the egg once it's fully grown.

“That's what I saw in my dream!" Daniella exclaimed before snapping her head over to Conner just as he almost fell over.

“You WHAT!?" Conner exclaimed in shock “You had the dream too!?" Conner added in bewilderment.

“No… that was actually you talking to that thing in that dream?" Daniella fell back onto her haunches as she tried to process what she was realizing. “We shared a dream…? How?"

“I-I don't know Ella." Conner sighed, “We are gonna need a name for him." Conner added.

“How does Ares sound?" Daniella cocked her head “The greek god of war."

Conner smiled, “Perfect."

“Hey Conner?"

“Yes Danielle?"

“There's a bar and grill about thirty minutes away that some friends want us to go over to…." Daniella said as she circled Conner.

“The occasion?"

“Just drive us there!" Daniella snapped.

“Fine. You are lucky my truck is built the way it is El." Conner chuckled as he picked up his rifle and put the magazine back into the magwell before deconstructing the rifle and tucking the metal plate under his shirt.

“Alright… Daniella just texted me." Cameron said as he put his phone into his pocket before looking over at his friends. “They are on the way." he added

“Treena… quit doING Thaaa…" Kyle gasped as Treena nibbled at his earlobe.

“Sooooo…." Cameron said with a raised brow “You guys fucking too?"

Treena smirked as she wrapped her forepaws around Kyle's neck from behind and nodded. Michael and Connor just chuckled and Cameron looked out the window to try and hide the smirk on his face.

“So when did you guys start dating?" Connor asked as he picked up a menu from the table.

“When I heard that Danielle finally got into Conner's pants I decided to approach Kyle and it turned out the feelings were mutual." Treena said with a smile as she licked Kyle's cheek causing him to chuckle.

“Fuck! Sorry we took so long!" Conner said as he walked up to the table covered in snow. “I had to pass so many people or drive in the ditch because everyone was driving so slow." He exclaimed in frustration as he sat down next to Cameron and Daniella sat in a seat specially made for dragons right next to Conner. “The snow is bad though, kinda understand why people were driving so slow but my truck is literally built to not get stuck no matter what." he added with a chuckle then smiled when Daniella leaned into him and rested her head on his shoulder.

“So everyone here is nineteen or older besides Daniella who is eighteen aye?" Conner asked and everyone nodded “Fuck, I wasn't planning on buying alcohol because I don't drink." Conner grumbled before using telepathy. 'I guess I'll buy you drinks and pretend to drink them El.' Conner side eyed Daniella and smirked, Daniella responded by quickly nibbling along his jawline and nosing at his beard.

Everyone got up to go get drinks but Conner stayed with Daniella and they decided to discuss the Indom. “So it will grow up faster than a dragon or a human but it will have an IQ of about one fifty?" Daniella asked and Conner nodded. “So you intend to have a weapons development branch of the MAPRC and also a private military branch as well?"

“Yes, I want to be able to work with the Canadian Armed Forces. The war in Ukraine has been devastating and once I'm done college, I will be enlisting." Conner said firmly.

Daniella sighed before seeing their friends walking back and smiling “I'll go get you some drinks." Conner said to Daniella as he got up and walked away from the table.

Conner walked up to the bar and showed his id before ordering a drink for Daniella. Conner turned away from the bar as the bartender began making the drink and froze at who he saw staring at him. “Oh fuck." Conner muttered as he saw his ex he broke up with about a year ago coming straight towards him. 'Help me!' Conner whispered into Daniella's mind in a panic.

“Hey Conner!"

“Hey Vanessa, long time no see." Conner said nervously as he backed away from his psychotic and abusive ex girlfriend.

“I've been looking for you for so long fuck face!" Vanessa snapped as she angrily walked towards Conner but froze and Conner felt a pair of paws land on his shoulders causing him to sigh in relief as he saw Daniella's head pass over his own.

“Hello Vanessa!" Daniella snarled as she covered Conner with her wings. “I hate to break it to you but this cock is out of stock!" Daniella growled as smoke began curling out of her mouth and nostrils.

“What!?" Vanessa exclaimed as she took a step back.

“He's mine!" Daniella snarled “I suggest you FUCK OFF!" Daniella shouted as the air around her became hazy from smoke and Daniella's veins bulged and began glowing purple.

Vanessa's jaw dropped when she saw Conner's veins and eyes pulse the same colour at the same time. Daniella released a plume of flame from her maw and Vanessa took off. Conner sighed in relief and leaned back into Daniella.

“I can't thank you enough El… she was horrid." Conner shuddered as Daniella carried him back to the bar and Conner collected the drink and a straw.

The entire bar stopped staring at the two and went back to what they were doing before as Conner sat down with Daniella practically on top of him with bared teeth.

“Ella you can relax now please." Conner said as he stroked the protective dragon's neck.

“You had my back when I had that incident with Rijyn. I'm going to have your back too." Daniella said as she nuzzled Conner and discreetly took a drink from the beverage in front of Conner before he pretended to take a drink after she drank.

The night went on without any other incidents besides Conner's ex getting kicked out for assaulting someone because she had decided to flirt with a guy while his girl was sitting right next to him and the girl got upset.

“Holy fuck the snow is bad." Conner said as he jumped the truck from the ditch and swapped his lights to red.

The truck roared through the unplowed roads before a fallen tree came into view. Conner grumbled to himself before pulling the laptop sitting above the center console closer to him.

“What are you doing?" Daniella asked in confusion from the specialized passenger seat.

“Just watch." Conner said as he began using the arrow keys. Conner smirked before tapping the left button beneath the trackpad causing the winch on the front bumper to fire out like a spear gun and pierce the tree.

Conner put the truck into low and reverse before pulling the tree into the ditch. Conner put the truck into four high and retracted the winch as much as possible before pressing the front bumper against the tree and flooring it with the wheel cranked to the right. The truck began turning and pushed against the tree causing the end of the winch to break free before he jumped the truck back onto the road.

Conner pulled into the garage and hopped out before Daniella walked up to him “You need to be careful with your vehicles Conner. I can't imagine that being legal at all!" Daniella snorted as she padded into the house.

Chapter 17

“Vehicles are en route to the base. I have located a military transport aircraft that is fueled and can hold all four vehicles."

“The Charger has the device in the front seat, once the vehicles are inside the nanites will pilot the aircraft and you cause havoc once they are five minutes out."

“Thanks computer."

“Two thousand meters." The depth warning beeped through the helmet as Conner dove down to the bottom of the Marianas Trench.

“Well that didn't take too long." Conner chuckled as his boots clanged on the seafloor of the Challenger Deep.

“Sir, the troops on the base put up some resistance but the forcefield generator was able to protect the cargo plane during takeoff." The AI said into Conner's helmet.

“Was anyone hurt?" Conner asked nervously.

“No. Some people were scared shitless when the Dodge Charger smashed through the gate and everyone was shocked when they tried firing tank rounds at your cars and truck…. Not a scratch." The AI chuckled.

“Good, just fly straight there. I doubt the RCAF will pursue over hostile airspace and the shield generator should block any anti air defense." Conner said as he began walking along the seafloor with the armour's flood lights on forty percent brightness. “What's your eta, Computer?" Conner asked flatly

“Two hours with the enhanced fuel."

Conner sighed before shooing a large squid off of him.

“We are ten minutes out. Canada has just notified the US and South Korea about the hijacked aircraft."

“I'm breaching the surface in ten seconds, Computer." Conner responded as he headed towards the Japanese coast.

A Japanese patrol boat was making its rounds when something erupted from the surface of the water and sent water over one hundred feet up before breaking the sound barrier. South Korea and Japan were in a panic about what was going on when an object flew over Japanese airspace and through Korean airspace and was heading straight to the border.

North Korean soldiers patrolling the border noticed something approaching from over South Korea.

“Sir, I'm in range, deploying the virus." there was a pregnant pause before the AI spoke again “Power grid offline. Disabling nuclear launch bays."

Conner began hovering over the capital. As his AI went to work “Sir, I've located the dictator and have confirmation on all nuclear warhead locations. Launching the Starships from your second facility at home. The Starships and drone fleets will over take the nuclear launch sites and destroy the nuclear research sites while you can deal with the dynasty." the AI said as Conner saw multiple spacecraft enter the atmosphere from above him.

“Guess I can see what this magical sword I found while spelunking can do." Conner chuckled as he killed the armour's thrusters and slammed into the ground shattering the asphalt beneath him in the capital of North Korea.

Conner almost instantly began getting fired upon. He chuckled before activating his railgun and leveling a building full of troops. Conner began muttering as he took out certain people and wounded others.

“Gotta remember how many people are just brainwashed and have no idea what they are doing." Conner muttered to himself as he launched a missile at a truck.

Conner grumbled before activating his armour's loud speakers “I Just want to let everyone know that basketball was actually invented in Canada and your 'great leader'" Conner said with air quotes “studied in Switzerland!" the armour translated his speech to Korean.

Conner tapped his back causing two scabbards with swords to appear crossed on his back, the one with the hilt of the sword pointing left formed from nanites and the one pointing right blinked into existence and that one was covered in draconic runes. Conner pulled the blade covered in draconic runes out and the blade of the sword began glowing purple before electricity began crackling along its surface. He dragged the blade along the ground before swinging the blade up in an arc cutting the ground as it went but no sparks came from the blade before it caused the ground to crack, the crack expanded and shot towards a group of soldiers before launching them into the air.

“Sir, your vehicles are inbound. I've located a stretch of road wide enough for the plane to land."

“Go ahead Computer." Conner said as he launched a bolt of electricity from his sword at a group of approaching vehicles.

“Where the hell is Conner!" Daniella grumbled to herself as she flopped onto the couch in the living room and turned on the tv.

“Conner, South Korea is sharing a broadcast with the US and Canada, they think this is an alien invasion. They are broadcasting to Canadian and American media."

“WHAT!" Conner shouted in shock.

The remote fell out of Daniella's paw and her maw hung open when she saw the emergency broadcast.

“Sir, all nuclear launch sites have been taken over. The drones are modifying the warheads." The AI said as Conner jumped onto a tank and ripped the top hatch off and dropped an Elemental grenade inside before jumping away.

The tank exploded in a giant fireball with crackles of purple and blue dancing along the outside of the fireball. Conner glanced over and saw ten more tanks approaching, the tanks became outlined in red as he raised his left arm and launched a volley of missiles destroying each tank instantly in a fireball with purple and blue crackles dancing along them before jumping away from the tank rounds fired in his direction.

“Sir, I'm approaching the landing zone. Keep them clear."

Conner looked up and saw the massive cargo plane approach and chuckled when he saw the active shield generator deflect incoming fire from ground troops.

Conner looked over and saw a drone flying near him, he waved at the drone when the AI told him that it was one of the drones recording for the broadcast.

“Surprised they are broadcasting literal combat but I guess if they believe this might be the end of the world… oh well." Conner chuckled as he approached the cargo plane and red lights bled out from inside and the entire aircraft trembled and vibrated slightly across the ground from the collective horsepower inside.

Daniella watched the first car launch out of the cargo plane, as it hit the ground the front bumper dug into the asphalt sending chunks of it flying and the car seemed undamaged before it drifted into a rolling burnout, the cars rear wheels were the only ones spinning until all four wheels locked up then all four wheels began spinning. The other three vehicles launched from the plane and did rolling burnouts, tire smoke coming from all four tires of each car.

“No…." Daniella muttered in disbelief.

The first car was a 2023 blacked out Dodge Charger Hellcat Widebody Jailbreak with a race front splitter, a raised spoiler, rear louvers, a rear diffuser and a quad exhaust. The three other vehicles had the exact same paint job with the dual black racing stripes, the other two cars had raised spoilers besides the truck which had a rollbar in the bed and a lightbar on the roof. A 2021 Mazda3 sport with a quad exhaust and a 2023 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing with a quad exhaust. The forth vehicle was a 2023 blacked out Ford F-150 Raptor-R trophy truck on steroids. Daniella knew who was wearing that armour and she didn't know what to think.

“Well Computer… let EM FUCKIN HAVE IT!" Conner shouted as he took cover behind the Charger and pulled out his Scar-H. “The damn sound bullets make when they ricochet off this armour is so irritating!" Conner shouted as he dropped ten men.

Conner moved away from the Charger and all four of his vehicles began launching missiles from their built in weapons. Conner chuckled when the Raptor-R fired its winch at a fleeing truck and began dragging it back. Conner walked over to the truck and ripped the door off the hinges.

“You drop your weapons and follow that car and I will personally guarantee your safety!" Conner shouted as he pointed at his Mazda and the armour translated it into Korean.

The soldiers immediately threw up their hands and followed the Mazda to a platoon of South Korean soldiers.

“That was unexpected." Conner said as he saw the South Korean soldiers run the North Koreans to safety. “Make sure they are safe!" Conner shouted to the fleeing soldiers and his armour once again translated it to Korean.

Conner made his scabbards on his back disappear before launching onto a building and pulling out his Barrett.

“Well hello!" Conner said with a smirk as he trained his scope on the very panicked face of the North Korean dictator through a wall. He chuckled because the dictator seemed to think he was safe, the rifle Conner was holding was classed as an anti material rifle and he had modified the shit out of it.

The shot rang out and echoed across the city as the tungsten titanium bullet ripped through the concrete like it was butter and the man's head, neck and shoulders became red mist as the brass of the fifty caliber round bounced off the ground beside Conner's feet.

“Sir, all nuclear research sites have been destroyed, a starship is inbound to collect the RCAF aircraft and your cars."

“Launch the nukes." Conner said flatly as he launched into the sky.

Daniella began panicking as she saw the nukes had been launched “No that's not him! He would never!"

“Override broadcast."

“Affirmative sir."

“Exciting atmosphere."

Conner followed the cluster of nuclear missiles to the edge of the solar system “Those Elemental upgrades did wonderful" Conner chuckled as he directed each nuke to a different asteroid located outside the solar system that had a risk of colliding with earth. The nuclear missiles would either redirect the asteroid's flight paths or destroy them entirely.

“That's something he'd do." Daniella sighed in relief as she heard the voice of Conner on the broadcast.

“How is South Korea doing in saving those poor brainwashed souls from that psychotic dynasty?" Conner's voice sounded from the tv speakers.

“They have completely finished what you started and the statues are no more." the AI chuckled.

Conner sighed before launching back to earth “The west can rest a little easier now that itchy finger is gone, laughing at memes at midnight wondering why the sun is rising is slightly less likely to happen now." Conner chuckled as he stopped at the edge of the atmosphere. “Although my girlfriend probably saw that broadcast and is probably still watching. You are gonna kill me when I get home aye hun?" Conner asked jokily.

Daniella rolled her eyes at how obvious Conner's Canadian accent was when he said aye. “No I'm not gonna kill you." she said with a sigh.

“Would you like me to tell him that ma'am?" the AI asked the dragon.

“Sure but tell him I might strangle him with my tail a little." Daniella chuckled.

“She responded sir. She won't kill you but she might strangle you with her tail." the AI chuckled.

Conner muttered a few curses in Draconic before speaking in English again. “Jesus dragon!" Conner muttered “AH FUCK! Disconnect Broadcast!" Conner exclaimed as he realized he was still connected.

Daniella burst into laughter as she heard the newscaster speak “Well that was interesting and better than the world ending. Hey dragon! You go easy on your human when he gets home." The whole news anchor crew burst into laughter before the broadcast ended.

Conner began approaching the base that he took the aircraft from, he touched down with a clang and the thrusters on his armour stirred up dust before walking over to his vehicles that began filing out of the back of the cargo plane slowly and took a duffle bag out of his Raptor. “Sorry for the trouble, I had no other way to transport my vehicles." Conner lied as he handed the duffle bag to the base's commander.

The man dropped the bag because it was too heavy and opened it to see a few million dollars worth of gold inside. “I think this can be brushed under the rug this time but don't make this a habit!" the commander said sternly and Conner nodded.

“Would love to have someone with your skill set around." the commander called to Conner as he walked away with heavy clanging footfalls.

“You'll see the face under this helmet once I'm done college, but you won't know for sure until the helmet comes back on!" Conner called over his shoulder as he got into his Dodge Charger.

The commander watched as the blacked out vehicles exited the base slowly before shaking the earth from the collective engine rumble accompanied by supercharger screaming and turbocharger whistling as they got to a safe distance before multiple sonic booms were heard.

“Sir, the Starships are a little busy at the moment."

“What is it?" Conner asked as he began making his way home.

“The labour camps or prisons are flooded and I'm using my resources to background check everyone to see which people actually belong in prison and who don't."

“A lot of people have been freed from that psychotic dictatorship, but so many people have been murdered. We don't even know for sure and I doubt enough documentation can be recovered." Conner sighed.

“The Dynasty has murdered around three point five million people." the AI said sadly.

“I knew it was bad." Conner sighed “At least those monsters can't harm anyone else." Conner grumbled as he white knuckled the steering wheel of the Charger.

Daniella's ears perked up when she heard the distant roar of engines and the screaming of superchargers before she heard the very distinct sound of multiple turbochargers sputtering.

Daniella dashed into the master bedroom before grabbing a bottle of liquid. She placed the bottle on Conner's desk and smirked when she read the label. “God I hate prepping for it but ooohh it feels so good!" Daniella shuddered before making her way back downstairs.

Conner grumbled to himself as he walked into the kitchen from the garage “Oh she's gonna chew me out big time for this." he chuckled as he made his way to the basement to shower.

Conner walked into the main section of the cave shower and turned on the water before the hairs on the back of his neck stood up causing him to sigh. “Must we have a conversation about today while I shower?" he asked aloud, knowing who was slowly approaching behind him.

“Damn! It's almost impossible to sneak up on you now!" Daniella chuckled as she circled her human.

“So… about today?" Conner said as he scrubbed shampoo into his hair.

“I don't know what you want me to say?" Daniella said as she grabbed some scale soap from the shelf.

“You ain't mad?" Conner questioned with a raised brow.

“No!" Daniella chuckled, “It was only a matter of time before fat ass launched a nuke anyways." Daniella snorted.

Conner just chuckled before rinsing his hair and grabbing a bottle of conditioner.

Conner walked into his bedroom and looked at the wall in front of the foot of his bed “Fuck… I still need to paint over the patch." Conner grumbled while looking at the spot where he had embedded his phone that he had patched a few weeks ago but forgot to paint it.

“I think the painting can wait, Conner…." Daniella said in a sultry tone as she walked past Conner with a raised tail. She grabbed the bottle on his desk before wiggling her haunches and stepping out onto the balcony.

Conner just smiled and followed her onto the balcony overlooking a large portion of his property.

“Is that anal lube!?" Conner gasped as he read the label on the bottle Daniella had placed on the balcony railing.

Daniella just smirked in response before beckoning him over with her paw. Conner walked over almost in a trance before Daniella wrapped her tail around his neck and squeezed just enough to stop Conner from being able to breath but not enough to hurt him.

“I did say I was going to strangle you just a little didn't I?" Daniella asked innocently and Conner made a muffled sound before he stopped struggling.
