You're Mine

Chapter 1: First Signs
Jason's POV
I was walking back to camp, carrying the fish that I've caught for my dinner. I went camping to clear my head and find ways to come out as gay to my family. That's why I love camping, as it lets me do just that. I mean, they were fine when my cousin came out, but I don't know if they will with me, as I'm their only child, their only son. I love my family, my parents even more, so it'll hurt if they don't accept and support me. Though, I will cut them out of my life if they turn toxic with me, but it'll be difficult. I hope it doesn't come to that. I can't imagine what my life would be like if I didn't have my family.
I finally made it back to my camp as I was thinking, so I set up my fire to cook the fish and to light the surrounding, for it was getting dark. After I started the fire, I had to gut the fish and prepare it for cooking. As I was doing that, I heard a noise behind me and felt eyes looking at me. This sent shivers down my spine, as I didn't like the feeling. I quickly looked behind me but couldn't see anything at all. This made the unease feeling worse, but chose to ignore it, hoping that the fire would keep me safe from what is out there. I really didn't want to die, especially before telling my family about my sexual preferences. They also didn't deserve not knowing, so I'm going to make sure I live.
After I ate, I decided to go to bed. I put some mothballs around the perimeter of my tent, then fully extinguish the campfire before going to bed, like how I remembered my father teaching me to do. I do not want to accidently cause a forest fire. And like how my father taught me, if i put mothballs around my tent, it should keep any predators away. I also keep a hunting rifle, a shotgun, and a handgun with me for protection. I also carry flare guns in case I need them. I will always be prepared for anything. I even have a taser on my person for a less lethal way to take down someone. Thank goodness I live somewhere it is legal to own these things.
~Line break~
It was finally daytime, so now I have to hunt for my breakfast. That was the only con thing about my family's way of camping. We have to hunt for our food, and we can only get one animal to kill. So, if I fish, I must fish one fish. This is supposed to teach us how to survive and respect the animals in one. We also say a prayer after we kill them and thank them for what they are providing for us. Anyway, my mind is getting away from me.
The thing is, when I got out of my tent, I found something weird. There is a dead rabbit, just outside of my tent. I know that I didn’t hunt this animal yesterday, for I didn’t see them. And judging by the marks on its neck, it was killed by an animal, not human. I don’t know what to make of it, and I’m unsure I can eat this without getting sick, so I had to put it away from my tent. After I did that, I went on my way to hunt. As it is breakfast, I decided to fish again, for it is easier to get then to hunt.
As I was walking, I once again felt something watching me. I quickly looked around in hopes to catch was watching me, but once again couldn’t. I quickly turned around back to camp, so I can get one of my guns. I chose my shotgun, as I thought it would be easier to use on predators charging at me. To be honest, I think it's one of the animals that usually stalk their preys before they pounce on them, so the gun brings me comfort. Then a sudden thought hit me.... wolves stalk prey, but they don’t rely of sudden burst of energy to kill as they have endurance on their side. I sincerely hope it isn’t a wolf, because if it is a wolf, then there probably more than one.
