'Two best friends from hatchling days, reunite for the celebration their clan's having. When night comes, feelings are revealed.'
Well everyone, here's the story that's been brewing in my brain for a LONG time. And now, I finally got it wrote down and finished it. This is a gift story to one of my friends that I've made on sofurry and his name's StormbladeF22. That guy has become a big fan of my work, leaving me faves and five star votes for my short adult stories in particular. Like, Cynder's Newfound Love along with it's sequel and prequel, The King's Affair, The Wizard's Apprentice, and most recently The Princess and The Drake.
Now here's my gift to the fellow user and friend. I really like this guy, he has a way with words, when he leaves a comment on my short stories. Oh and one more thing, he's a musician on here and if you like listening to music, go to his profile page! https://stormbladef22.sofurry.com/
I hope you enjoy this tale, my friend and it's a bit named after YOU! I think, you'll love it and as for everyone who sees this, I hope you enjoy this tale too. Trust me, you won't be disappointed.
And one last thing, here's my trademark warning for anyone's who's under the legal age. TAP, TAP, TAP that back button! XD
A big blue dragon with a grey underbelly, and silver eyes named Storm, has straps to this body from a harness and is pulling a garden plough, across a big garden. He grunted when he gave it another pull, using his dragon strength to pull it on the dirt. Since he's doing it for a very nice human female, named Marilyn. He would do anything for her, even do big gardening for her. The human, doesn't have horses anymore, since one just got killed over by accident and since then, she never did gardening of this place. Now since Storm met her, he's been doing this kind of favor for her. And he never minded it, one bit.
Course, some dragons from where he's from, would think of this as slavery to his kind, but he begs to differ with that. Marilyn's a nice woman and she never treated him as a slave, in any way.
Storm dug his claws for grip and gave another pull, the blade on the plough cutting through for the garden. He was breathing heavily and rustled his wings. He had a concentrated look, seeing that he's halfway of being done. He snorted and pulled real hard again, and after that he gave another very hard tug. When about three more tugs came, he has done his job for the innocent human woman. He put on a smile and sighed.
Then he began to pull the plough away from the garden and onto the grass, the plough's blades making loud clanking noises, as the blades were cutting past several rocks all over the place. Storm was dragging it all the way to the barn, not very far from the garden. When he entered through the entrance, with several more paces and pulls, he stopped at the spot where he found the plough and sat down on his haunches. He let out a breath and reached up with both paws to his chest and took off one strap and reached out to the side of his body for release of another strap.
As all the straps came loose, he pulled the harness off of him, his wings flexed a bit, as finally the harness came off. He got off his haunches and strode to the middle of the barn and stretched out his wings. Storm moaned under his breath, as it felt good. He furled them up on his back and walked out of there now, heading to the house of the woman he's helping out. On the porch, rocking on a wooden chair, he can see Marilyn with long raven hair and several wrinkles on her face, since he can tell she's not young, but a bit older. She was enjoying the fresh air of the summer season, feeling the cool breeze blowing at her a bit, blowing some of her hair.
Storm came up to the porch and sat down on his butt with a big smile, holding up his head in pride, "I'm done, my lady friend."
Marilyn laughed a bit and nodded, "I can tell, you show off." Then her eyes widened in exclamation, "And you even managed to take that harness off of you, this time! I'm surprised, I would thought you needed my help taking that old thing off of ya!"
Storm shook his head and snickered, "Oh no, it was easy enough for me. I did see how you took the straps off and you know how dragon's mind is, I have a sharp mind."
Marilyn got up off the wooden chair and paced off the porch and up to the front of Storm. Giving him a smile of appreciation, "Well, I'm glad you came over to visit me again and help me out. I really appreciate it."
Storm lowered his head to her level, real close to her face, "Hey, you were the one who saved my life from someone's poison arrow. If it wasn't for your 'nasty' herbs and having to swallow them, I wouldn't be here right now."
Marilyn raised a curious brow with her teasing grin, "Is that why, you help with my gardening?"
Storm partly admitted, "Well...A little bit of yes, but you also remind me of mother, cause of your motherly charm. Plus, you're the first human friend that I've made."
Marilyn reached out to touch his nose, rubbing it up and down, "Still big guy, I appreciate your help."
He sighed and grumbled in irritancy, "You might want to tell that, to some other dragons back at my home. They usually think that I'm your slave and I'm doing your dirty work."
Marilyn had a solemn look and pulled her hand off of him, "That's a little much. I hate when they accuse me of such things. I would always treat creatures with real decency. Not treat them as slaves. And...You're my best friend, since my husband died." Then she thumbed the small village nearby, past her house behind her, "Even the whole village knows, about your kind and none of the villagers would treat you guys like slaves."
He nodded, "And as a result, the ruler of these lands heard of my presence and thanks to my friendly presence, he declares that dragons are not harmful to any village, in any part of his land." He put on a big smile, "I have to say, what an honor."
His dear little human friend said this, "Yes, and you and your kind, do deserve that honor. None of you deserved to be treated like thieves and monsters. YOU especially, are nothing like that."
Storm gave Marilyn a lick on her cheek, "Yeah, I'm very charming."
They both looked at each other's eyes, both of them still having smirks and she cradled his chin, "You know, Storm. I'm so proud that you would stand up for me, if any of your kind would accuse me of slavery. I hate the word. I'm not exactly an overlord, I'm just a lonely old woman, living outside her village."
Storm replied, "You would've done the same for me."
She planted a kiss to his nose, "You're right, I would've. My favorite storm from the sky." She winked at him and they both giggled.
Storm let out a breath and raised his head above her, "I'd love to stick around all day with you, Marilyn. But I need to get home."
She tilted her head, "Why? Something going on?"
Storm nodded as he turned his body a bit on her, "Oh yes. You see, my clan is celebrating the season when the clan was first made and I don't exactly want to miss it. My clan usually has this big fire pit, and cooking in the middle of it, there's always this VERY juicy meat that all of us gather to eat for the whole thing." He licked his chops, "I love that meat and can't get enough of it."
She asked, "Is that the meat you eat, all the time?"
Storm's face went wide and he giggled and actually admitted it, "Oh, okay yes. We always have that meat." He raised a claw and added, "But tonight's meat is a special occasion!"
Marilyn laughed and motioned her hand toward him, "Well, you don't want to be late, big guy. Go to that festival."
He shot up his head, "I will." And he began to strode away from her, to get a good distance for flight. When he stopped where he's at, he looked over his shoulder and hollered at her, "I love you!"
She hollered back with a wave, "I love you, too!"
He was gazing at her. Knowing that he'll see her either tomorrow or the day after tomorrow. He now looked up at the blue sky with all the big puffy clouds. And with that, Storm began to spread out his powerful wings and made a running start. Leaping to the skies and flapping his wings after that. Now he was taking height over Marilyn's house and he can see her waving up at him from down below. He waved a paw back at her and he concentrated on his flight, as he flew over the small village nearby. One of the villages in these lands, that accept dragons as allies.
Storm flapped again, heading back to where his clan lives. He sure does NOT want to miss it.
*****
Several dragons of different scaled colors are in the middle of the forest, getting ready to have the celebration of their clan being made started. A very big fire pit was being made with so much fire wood being tossed in the pit. A fire pit, big enough for everyone's meat for about fifty dragons to be cooked and made. One of them had some logs on it's wing tip and dipped the wing onto the pit and the logs slid right off and fell in there. The wood making a loud sound as they crashed on plenty of other fire wood. They haven't started the fire yet, but they will soon.
One dragoness in particular, shows up with slow struts. Her scales are purple and her underbelly's blue. She has piercing yellow eyes and her body's sleek with curves, that'll make any drake look at them in lust. Her name's Blade and she had a smile across her snout, as she saw the celebration's being made. She hasn't been home for a long time and she sees, they're still having this celebration. She can never get enough of this meat, they always have.
Blade heard a voice stop her from progressing any further, "Well, hey there good looking. Long time, no see." Her head and ears perked up and she whirled around to see a familiar blue scaled drake, standing behind her. He had a big smile on his snout. She beamed at the drake and went up to nuzzle his cheek with her own, "Storm! You're still here. I can't believe it."
Storm nuzzled back and laughed, "Oh yes, I'm still living in the clan." They pulled back and he motioned his paw toward her, "I see that you're back here, from your mountain home."
Blade sat down on her haunches and he did too, "Yeah, I can tell the season has came here and I didn't want to miss it again. I've been missing this celebration more than once and I won't miss it." She made a smug smile and held up her head, "I can make sure of THAT. So as you may as well see, I'm here now."
Storm nodded, "I can see that." He titled his head to her looks, "You look like, you haven't changed."
She playfully narrowed her look, "I know, we haven't seen each other since we were young. But what did you expect me to look like? Look VERY old with a bit of gray scales? I haven't been gone THAT long, you silly dragon." She stuck her tongue out at him.
He rolled his eyes, "I know that, I was just messing with you." He winked at her.
Blade nodded twice, "Of course, you are. You always did have your moments."
He bumped his nose against hers, "So do you. I can remember that one time, we chased each other and you snatched my tail with your jaw, just because you wanted to make me think that a big scary animal was trying to eat a little hatchling, like mwah."
Blade laughed hard at that, "Oh, I can see your face still! You were pretty gullible!"
He defended with a paw to his chest, "I'm not GULLIBLE, anymore. I'm smarter now!"
She shook her head in disbelief, "You keep telling yourself that. You were once that Storm, and you'll ALWAYS that Storm."
Then he pointed a claw at her scaly chest, "And you will always be, that Blade." Then he looked at her scales and her body again, "But only, more beautiful than before."
She drew back her head and her purple cheeks were turning red by his comment. His eyes went wide, when he saw her expression and he waved a paw at her, "Uh...Sorry."
Blade giggled and shook her head, "Oh, don't worry about it. I know that us dragons are blunt about those things. I just found it a bit odd, coming from my best friend."
He shrugged his wings and shoulders, "I don't find it weird, at all. I really think you're...Beautiful. Nothing more."
Blade said, "Well, I sometimes get that comment from other drakes. You are the first drake that I know personally, who said that. Other than my father, of course."
Storm asked when he cocked his head, "So did you see any other familiar faces here?"
Blade nodded and smiled brightly, "Oh yes! I saw mom and dad today, too! And I saw the elder drake today! I can't believe he's still alive."
Storm's face widened, "That old drake?" He softened his look, "Yep, our teacher from our hatchling days, is alive. Even he's the oldest drake within the clan now."
Blade's stomach growled and she shot her head up to the sky and whined in need, "Drat, I'm hungry! I hope, I can light the wood on fire! I'm very hungry!"
The handsome blue drake let out a laugh, "I am too! So how do you think, I feel?"
Blade replied with a teasing grin, "That you're whining in hunger too, that's how I think you feel."
He pointed his wing tip at her, "I'm not whining, YOU'RE the one who's whining."
She playfully raised a forepaw and smacked his shoulder with it, "Shut up." They both giggled and got up off their haunches. Blade turned her whole body back on him and looked over her shoulder, "Well, lets ask someone who knows when the festivities will start. I want to eat something and if I don't eat some cooked meat." She pointed at a nearby dragon, "I'm going to eat a nearby dragon!"
Storm laughed and said, "I think, that's a good idea. And while we're at it, you can tell me what your life's like now."
Blade started to stroll away from him and nodded at that, "Sure thing, and you can tell me what you have been doing with your life, too."
Storm responded, "Sounds good." Blade looked ahead and he was watching her curves sway with each step of her paws. He couldn't take his eyes off of her. He just stared at her, before he shook off his trance and followed his best friend. He really thought that she's beautiful. It's been years since she became an adolescent and now she became a full grown adult. She became a very beautiful dragoness, indeed.
*****
It's now been a few hours and the sun's still up over the forest. The celebration already began and now everyone who ever lived in the clan, now's digging their jaws into their meats. Several others are just sitting on their haunches chatting, since a few others like Blade, have came back to their former home to come to the celebration. Like Blade, they didn't want to miss it. Storm and Blade have been among the dragons, in the grand celebration and they have been catching up on old times and onto new times. Both of them, having their meats and eating, while they're at it.
Blade nodded, after Storm talked about his human female friend and how humans have started to become friends with their kind, "I've heard that the humans in these lands, are being well friendly to our kind. I have to say, that's pretty odd to me. I never knew that humans would like us...As friends. That they would like us, that way."
Storm giggled, "Oh trust me, the humans in that village in particular, are friendly. They all know me, by my name."
Blade's good looking eyes went wide in surprise, "They know your name?" She cocked her head, "You just told everyone your name? Dragon names are sacred, you know."
He was waving his paw at her, "Not at first, mind you. I'm not that stupid." He looked up at the sky and sighed as the memory came back, "It was only when Marilyn, convinced me to do it. I told her my name, because of how nice and caring she was. And she, just told me that you can tell anyone your name, if you wish. She loved it and then I began to think...Why not share my name with the whole village? They knew I'm the dragon, who visits that woman, anyways. She...Reminds me of mother."
Blade had a pity look for him, "Oh...That really the reason why, you're with her?"
Storm looked straight at her and he knew what she was thinking. HIs mind, flashed to the memory of his mother. Years ago, Blade and him, found Storm's mother flying back to their clan's home, covered in sword wounds and a few arrows pierced into her body. She was breathing deeply. Very ragged, actually. And she practically collapsed in exhaustion and she was dying too.
Storm can remember that he was clinging to his mother's face, tears well up in his eyes and he was screaming at her to get up. She couldn't get up and she was near her end. Blade was screaming for help and he was left alone with his dying mom. She even told him to stay away from humans, they were the ones who did this to her. Then she told him to go on without her and always remember her. And with that last breath, she passed.
He can never forget that day it happened and he and Blade were just hatchlings, on that day. Before he met Marilyn, he was still thinking about that day, a bit apprehensive of flying away from home. Thinking, that he'd end up like his mom. Despite that he was fully grown and can breath fire, he was still afraid. He didn't want to face humans, but if he did meet one, before Marilyn came about, he'd kill it in defense for his life. That memory still haunts him. But it wasn't as haunting, as it was before. It was thanks to Marilyn's touch and her soothing, comforting words. She even has that voice, just like his mother's.
It was all thanks to Marilyn, that he thinks differently about humans now, not afraid to speak his mind to any of them now. He's overjoyed to have found her, when he was dying by an arrow, coated with a toxin that's made to kill dragons like him. Marilyn saved his life.
Blade's voice broke his thoughts, "Well, I think that's very sweet of that human, to save your life that day. She...Must've wanted a friend."
Storm replied, "Well, she lives alone in her house, with no one to talk to. She said her mate died, years ago."
Blade nodded, "I would really imagine, you'd make good company to her. She...Sounds like a sweet human."
Storm gestured a paw to her, "Maybe, you should come see her with me sometime. I know, that you're staying here for a few days. That home of yours is far away, you said."
Blade took a deep breath, puffing out her chest and let it out, "Yeah, and talk about a long flight to get back to your former home. You'd probably have your wings tired." She stretched out her wings and one of them made a pop, "And mine are sore! I don't want to do that, every day."
Storm snickered, "Whining again. That's so you, Blade."
She shot a glare at her friend, and furled her wings on her back, "Shut up, show off."
Storm defended with a wide face, "I'm not a show off ALL the time, compared to the other big ass drakes here!"
Blade rolled her eyes and her face softened, "You're right, you're not a show off ALL the time." She hung her head and said, "For all the drakes that I'd meet. They're always a bunch of ego filled jerks. I'm not that kind of female, who has a ego like them."
Storm nodded and held a pity look, "I can tell. You're head's, not so full of ego."
Blade's face lit and said with a bit of a tease, "And you, don't show off your pride to every female all the time."
His face flushed at her words and he shot up his head, "If I'm aroused, I can't help if it comes out! My pride wants to mate someone!"
Blade gulped in laughter and he did too. Both of them, slamming their paws to the grass and Blade was just holding her side, holding her ribs. Blade said, "Oh ancestors! If your mom was still around, she'd be surprised by your joke."
He shook his head, giggling, "My father wouldn't. He's a drake and he knows what that's like."
Blade cocked her head and asked with a frown, "Did...THAT really happen to you?"
Storm tossed his head to his right, "What do you think?"
Blade gave him a mischievous smile, "I'll take that, as a yes." Then he lowered her snout a bit to look at his spot between his powerful hind legs, "I can see it now. Dangling and wanting with need." Storm curled his tail around himself and she raised her face to look at his, "I can also see your face, when pleasure has washed upon you. The way you curl your snout and grit your teeth, releasing your seed. I can see it." She was giggling at that.
Storm cocked his head, "Was it sexy?" She laughed hard at that and nodded. He beamed at her, "Why thank you! I have to say, you have a wild imagination."
Blade waved him off, "I always had one, silly!"
Storm shook his head, "Yeah, but it wasn't THAT wild before. Your mind's pretty devious, now."
Blade replied to that, "That's because, my wild imagination grew over the years. So yep, you'd be surprised how devious it is." She gave him a wink and then she added, "And also because, I saw my father mating with my mom only once and I just...Watched it."
Storm cocked his head, "You what?"
Blade was waving her paw twice with a wide face, "I was curious! I was only a hatchling, when I saw them do it. I can see dad baring his face, when he's growling for her."
Storm gave her a devious grin, "Dirty girl. And you don't find it weird, watching your parents mating? I probably would."
Blade narrowed her eyes at him, "Of course, I found it weird. But however, I wanted to satisfy my curiosity."
Storm let out a playful sigh, "Excuses."
The purple dragoness just shook her head playfully, "Don't try to deny that you saw your parents mate, too. Don't even try to deny that."
Storm shook his head at that, "I'm not going to tell you if I did or not. You'll just tease me, just like I teased you."
She put on a big grin on her snout, "Yeah, you did see them. I can see your face, that you saw your daddy on your mommy's back. Rutting her."
He had to admit it and he won't admit it out loud, he did see his parents doing it. But it wasn't like how she pictured. He saw them while they were belly to belly, looking into each other's eyes, as they were passionately making love. Course, he thought they were wrestling back then, but now these days, he now knows they weren't. They were mating.
The funny part about it, that his father was on top of her, since he thought they were wrestling, he thought his father was winning! But it turned out, they were both winning, in their own way.
Blade waved a paw in front of his snout, trying to get his attention, "Helloooo. Anyone, listening?"
He shook his head out of those thoughts and said, "Sorry about that. I was...Thinking about something."
Blade put back that big grin on her face again, "You did see them, did you?"
He rolled his eyes and tossed back his head, "Oh, shut up." She laughed at that and only he just gave a small chuckle. And Storm dipped his head to his food, to take a big chunk of it in his jaws. He began to chew it, after that.
Then a drake who's older than them with black scales, came up padding to them and asked, "How's the meat, you two? Enjoying the celebration?"
Storm raised his head off the meat and they both nodded. Blade answered, "It's good. The meat's always great for a dragon's stomach."
The old drake held up his head, proud at her words, "No doubt." Then he began to stroll away from them, before saying this to Blade, "It's good to see you again, Blade. I haven't seen you for the past...Several seasons."
Blade said, "I was bound to come back, sooner or later."
The black drake said, "Well if you didn't come back, then that means, it's a human who either killed you, or captured you. That would stop you from coming back."
Blade replied with one brow raised, "Riiight. Thank you, for pointing that one out."
He strutted away from them, his tail swinging back and forth, "See you around."
Blade sighed after he left, "I'm glad that because of what you said, humans care about us now."
Storm had a glum look and sighed too, "Yeah, but some dragons in the clan, still don't get my words. They think that Marilyn's having me as her slave, but she's not like that."
Blade gave him a comforting and assured smile, "I know she's not and I believe you."
Storm smiled a bit at her words, "Thank you, Blade. Marilyn, would've loved you."
Blade replied, "And perhaps, I will consider you taking me to her. If she reminds you of your mom, then I want to see some of the resemblance."
Storm nodded at that, "That's a deal. Trust me, she's really, really nice."
She nodded, as her beautiful eyes hold honesty, "I know she is."
And with that, the handsome blue drake and the beautiful purple dragoness, ate some of their meat some more. Finishing it all, until it was gone.
*****
Now the nightfall has come and the black sky is filled with stars. The dragons in the clan is still having their celebration. Some of them, have went off to go to sleep in the caves nearby, some are still staying up. Blade was sitting in front of the flames of the fire pit. More fire wood, was already tossed in to keep the fire going in the cool night. Blade curled her tail around herself, as she looked deeply into the flames. She sighed. As her mind, is on something.
To someone from her past. And she's thinking about him, right now. She closed her eyes and let out a breath. Then after a few long moments, she got off her haunches and began to walk away from the fire pit. Past several other dragons who are sitting nearby. Her plan is to head off to this spot she went to, when she was a little hatchling. She was swinging her tail back and forth in fast strides, until one voice stopped her from moving anymore, "Where are you going?"
She stopped and she figured it was Storm's voice. She giggled and looked over her shoulder, "That's twice today, that you stopped me from pacing off."
Storm was walking up to her and giggled too, "Well, I would figure you're off to bed now, but...Guess not, huh?"
She cocked her head at him, "What are you doing out here? I thought you were sleeping."
He took a few paces more and stood right beside her, "I tried to, but I couldn't. So I came outside to stay up a little more." He shrugged his shoulders, "I probably need to loose some more energy." Then he cocked his head with a curious frown, "So where are you going? Not leaving your former home now, are you? It's a bit late."
Blade shot up her head, "Ha! No, I'm just..." She trailed off and looked up ahead, "I was just trying to get my mind off of things. Actually...." She looked at him again, "Storm, do you remember the place, we used to go off and play at? Those ruins?"
Storm's eyes shined brightly at the memory, "Yeah, I remember. These days, I sometime go there. But not all the time."
Blade took a step forward, while still her gaze is on him, "I'm going to go there and just...Sit down and relax." She smiled and asked, "Do you want to come with me?"
Storm paced a step too, "Sure, lets relive the good old days."
Blade playfully narrowed her gaze at the blue drake, "I'm NOT going to play with you. I just want to sit down and enjoy the quiet." She shoved her wing at him, "Don't ruin it, or I'll kill you."
He gave her a mock gasp and his jaw dropped, "Girl, I'm shocked! And how are you going to do that?"
Blade flicked her tail at his haunch and said with a devious gaze, "First of all, I'm going to punch you square in the balls, and then I'm going to jump on your chest and then close my jaws onto your throat. Until you stop squirming and die." She winked at him and laughed.
Storm rolled up his eyes, "Wow...You really have a wild imagination."
Blade chuckled and treaded off in the woods, "C'mon, old friend." He nodded and trolled alongside her, heading into the dark woods. Hearing the crickets and an owl, while they're padding past the bushes and trees. Both Blade and Storm ducked their heads under a low tree branch and kept going. Finally after walking for such a long time, they found the ruins up ahead. A couple of stone cutted buildings, that looked like a couple of temples, were the only things standing in the middle of the woods.
Blade sighed in relief and said with a few more paces toward the place, "Finally, made it." She sat down on her haunches and just stared at them. Storm joined her, sitting real close to his best friend. Blade giggled, after several moments of silence, "I can't believe, that place is still here. Even still standing up to this very day. Some things, can last forever."
Storm sighed without taking his eyes off the ruins, "Some things do last forever. But a lot of things don't."
Blade leaned her head onto his shoulder, and he wrapped a wing around her, keeping her warm during the night. She sighed, "Hey Storm." He only turned his head to her and she asked, "Do you remember all the times, we played here?" He nodded and she asked another question, "Did you remember we've played hunter, in this place?"
Storm chuckled as the memories flashed in his mind, "Yeah and I was the hunter, chasing you around the darn place." He was putting on a big smug grin, "I was very good at catching you. That's when I thought, I'd be a good hunter, when it comes to catching prey."
Blade groaned a bit in annoyance, she remarked, "I didn't like being pounced on hard and hit the stone ground and for the record, catching me all the damn time, doesn't make you a good hunter. You have to catch the real thing, to be a good hunter. Not your own kind."
Storm replied, "I did catch the real thing years later, you were just practice."
Blade whined and he chuckled. She hissed, "I hate being the prey, but I love going there."
He nodded, "Me too."
Then he had a pity look on his face and Blade could practically feel his emotion. He moved her head on his shoulder and asked, "Are you alright?"
Storm nodded, "Just a little bit. It's just...A thought, kinda crossed my mind."
"What thought's that?"
"The thought is...About Marilyn."
She removed her head off of him and raised her brow, "What about her?"
Storm gazed at the stars, "Well...." He took a deep breath and asked Blade, "Blade, did you know that humans don't live longer lives, like we do? That some of them don't get to live to be a hundred."
Blade cocked her head at the question, "Really? I didn't know that at all. I thought ALL things, live long. Like we do."
He shook his head, while he still has that look, "No...Humans don't." He hung his head and his whole body trembled a bit, in worry.
She asked, "Are you...Worried about Marilyn?"
He answered, "Just a little." He looked at her, "I...For about two seasons have passed, since we first met and we're the best friends, anyone could ever have. A dragon like me and a human like her. She...Really is like a mother to me." He turned his whole face away from her, "I just feel...Like I don't want to lose her too, just like...Mom, years ago. I don't want to go through that, again." He growled to himself, "I know, I have dad still, but we sometimes don't see eye to eye. Not to mention, he doesn't exactly understand humans, like I do. I just...Don't know what else to say to him."
He closed his eyes and went on, "I'm trying not to worry about it too much, but when it comes to mind, I feel bothered by it. I...I don't think, I could live without her. She makes me feel like, I'm that hatchling back then. Like the times didn't change, way before then. That I really have my mother back and she...Makes me happy. I don't feel alone, anymore." He sighed, "Like I said, I still have dad, but he doesn't get me. We're just too...Different."
Blade pushed herself out of his wing and turned her whole body in front of him, to face her sad friend, and asked, "Does she even know?"
He nodded without looking at her, "Yeah, but even I'm wondering if she's worried about it too. That she'll leave me, alone in this...World."
The purple dragoness said, "She's probably thinking about it. But...Maybe the reason why she's not worried about it, too much. Is because, she has accepted it. Accepted the fact that there are some things, you can't really change. Like make a human, live longer." She shrugged her shoulders and shook her head, "Some things live long and some things don't. That's how everything is. Including dragons, like us."
Storm said with his voice trembled, "Blade, I don't know what I'd do without her. I...I don't want to lose her."
Blade nuzzled his chest comfortingly, "I can understand your pain of losing someone. I don't blame you." She pulled her head away and looked down at her paws. Admitting this, "Even, I don't want to feel it...Again."
He turned his snout fast toward her and asked with a shocked face, "What do you mean? You're parents are still alive, we both saw them today."
She shook her head with pain shown in her eyes, "That's not who I'm talking about."
Storm cocked his head in confusion, "Who?"
She turned her face away from his now, "Before I came back home today, I...I had a mate and...He died."
Storm felt real pity for the girl and she went on, "His name was Blaze. Talk about a nice name for a handsome dragon. His scales were red, like the flame. Not to mention, he had nice balls."
Storm actually giggled at that and Blade let out a pained sigh, "And how he died, well....He got sick." His eyes went wide and she looked at him, "I didn't know what got into him. I never knew what really happened." She raised a paw with one claw, "I think...He ate something that made him sick. Cause, I didn't see any poison arrows on him. That's my guess, but I don't know really."
"I'm sorry, Blade."
Blade waved him off, "I'm a bit over it, but...I still think about him too." She shut her eyes tight and her wings and body trembled, when she sat down on her haunches. Storm can really feel her pain and he enclosed his wings around her, holding her in his winged embrace. Blade sighed when she pushed herself deeper in his embrace, leaning her body real close to his. She buried her face into his neck, "To be honest, Storm. That's why I came back here. That's why I came home. I...I wanted to start my life over again. I was staying in my mountain home for a long time. But I...I couldn't stay there anymore. If I did, then I would've gone crazy. That mountain just reminds me of Blaze. That I've lost my first real mate. One who doesn't have an ego. One who...Understands, what I want and doesn't question it. One who...Loves me."
Storm nuzzled the back of her neck and said, "I never knew that. I never knew the reason. I...I thought you were staying here, for a few days."
Blade sighed, "Truthfully, I was planning to leave this place, to find a new home, but I don't know where to go. Besides...I think, I'll stay here. It seems better, if I stay where my family's at. I already told them what happened to me today."
He asked, "Why didn't you tell me, sooner?"
"Because...I just didn't want you to worry about me. Just now when I think about it, I'm another thing for you to worry about, other than Marilyn."
Storm shook his head and gave her neck a lick, "I'm not worried, I just sympathize you."
Blade gave his neck a nuzzle with her nose, "I appreciate it and I'm glad you're not worried."
Storm took a deep breath and let it out, "I'll be honest now...I think, I should stop worrying about Marilyn and just take it day by day, season after season. Maybe I can live in her barn and live with her. Just to keep her company, after all she loves me. I...I wanted a place to live outside the clan, anyways. To live outside of it, you know?"
She pulled her head off his neck and looked at his with a smile, "I think, that'll be great. Besides, humans love you, so what would be the problem, if a dragon is living among them?"
He grinned back, "There's no problem at all. They would accept me as one of them. And Marilyn, would have her company to stand by with."
She gave his chin a lick, "Good."
Storm sighed, as he looked deeply in her eyes, "And...I'm sorry, for what really happened to you. And...I wish there was something, I could do."
Blade shook her head, "Don't worry about it. I'll get over it." She moved her eyes to her friend's chest, "But I don't think, I can find someone else, who's like him. But...I wish, there was."
He tilted his head and rolled his eyes to glance at the ruins, "Well...There might be someone for you."
She cocked her head at him, "Who Storm? Who else is there?"
They were both staring into each other's eyes, not saying any word at all. Until Storm, slowly leaned his head toward Blade and pressed his snout softly against hers. Giving her his first intimate kiss. Her eyes went wide by her friend's kiss and he pulled back slowly. Not taking his gaze off of her. Blade was a bit dumbstruck by the whole thing and finally had the courage to ask, "Were you...Talking about yourself?"
He glanced down at the ground, not meeting hers, "I'm sorry about that. It's just...I never had a real mate, like you."
Now her expression went wide again, "Really? You never had a mate? Why?"
He giggled and looked at her, "For one thing, because I'm friends with humans and second...I just wasn't sure, if I could be with someone here. Some females, can be real bitches."
She narrowed her eyes at him, "Like me?"
He laughed a little, "No, of course not. You're...My best friend, that I was always with back then. The one girl, who really talked to me and didn't run off from me. And...Truthfully, when I remember how cute you were, when you turned into an adolescent...I thought you were...Beautiful."
Blade replied, "That's what you said to me, today."
He nodded, "Yes, and you're still beautiful. And...I never stopped thinking about you, after you left. I kept thinking you might come back, someday. When you said goodbye and left, I just regretted not telling you the truth."
Blade got the picture and asked, "That you...Come to care for me?"
He said, "Blade, you never left my side, when mom died. And things were pretty lonely, when you weren't home. I know that you went to that far off, mountain home. Someone from the clan, told me where you lived. I...I wanted to find you there, so one day I left home. I know that I was a bit afraid to leave my home, because mom was killed by humans, but I didn't care about that. So I've fought through that fear and flew off. I tried to get to you, but....Lets say that a human tried to kill me and...That's how I've met Marilyn."
She gasped in disbelief, "So that's why, you were out there that day. You weren't just exploring and hunting, you were coming for me."
He chuckled and nodded, "Yeah...If it wasn't for you, I wouldn't have met Marilyn. Pretty odd, huh?"
She held a pity look for him, "You...Love me."
He gave her nose a lick, "I had for a long time. When you left, I wanted to find you. But...I just waited for you, after that." He glanced shyly away from her gaze, "Because I was also thinking that...You wouldn't want me that way. That I would always be your best friend."
Blade glanced at his chest again and finally after taking a deep breath, she said this, "Actually, Storm...I thought you were handsome, yourself. You...Really grown to be very handsome. When I laid my eyes on you, I didn't believe how good looking you became."
Storm snickered, "Looks who's talking. You became a very beautiful dragoness, still after from being adolescent."
She playfully grinned at his face, "You really love me, do you?"
He looked at her and answered, "I do." He cocked his head at her, his thoughts racing, "Do you?"
Blade answered, "I think, you were the only thing, other than my family, that makes me happy, since Blaze died. And...You really aren't some rude, drake with a ego who doesn't give a crap about anyone, but himself. You're still the same Storm. After I left you, you've never changed."
Storm shook his head, "I never would change. Not when my dad, nor anyone asks me to." He chuckled, "Now years later, we find each other here in our clan's home and now we're in front of our favorite place to play when we were hatchlings. Now we're both just grown to be beautiful adults. We really have gotten older, have we?"
Blade didn't answer that, but nuzzled the side of his face. She sighed in content, while in his winged embrace still. She said, "Storm?"
"Yeah?" He began to nuzzle her back after that.
Blade looked at his eyes once more. Her heart was pounding with those emotions that are about to burst. She answered, "I'm not seeing you as my best friend, anymore. I...I see you as...My love."
He beamed at her and asked, "You mean-"
"Yes." And without further ado, she pressed her snout hard against his, sticking her big long pink tongue through his jaw. His face went wide at the gesture and he tilted his head and locked jaws with hers, sharing their kiss deeper. Both of their tongues were twining and touching each others. Liking the taste of each others mouths. Blade began to stroke his newfound mate's blue cheek with her paw, moaning into his mouth. She was loving her second kiss with him.
Storm pulled his snout off of hers and reached to her neck and nipped at it. She gasped in delight and he continued to lick and nip at her repeatedly. She gasped again, when he gave her sensitive neck a long tantalizing lick, "Gah!" She began to purr at his intimate gestures and cooed to him, "Storm."
Storm tilted his head and pressed his snout against hers again, she didn't resist and let his tongue join hers once more. They were kissing a long time, that time. Then Blade began to back away from him, breaking their kiss. Storm removed his wings off of her, when she did that and curled them on his back. She backed away real slow, and turned around on him. She giggled, when she looked over her shoulder and slowly raised her tail, seductively for him, the tip of her tail brushing against his sensitive nose. She moved her tail aside, showing him her lips. The lips that lead to her mating tunnel. Storm then can smell something coming from her and by the smell of it, and he smelled it before. She's in her heat cycle and that means, she'll have an egg from him, when he claims her. Storm asked, "Are you sure? Once it's done, it's done."
Blade nodded, "I'm sure, my mate. I want this. I've found another drake, after Blaze and it turned out to be you. My best friend from years ago. The one who was with me always, until I left." She shook her head at him, "I'll be yours, Storm. I will bear your egg and we'll have our first hatchling together. I've lost that chance before, but I have a second chance at it, now." She backed into him a bit, giving him the message that he really wants it, "Please, Storm. I want a family. I don't want to lose the chance, again. Please...I love you."
That was enough motivation from her and he put on a determined look. Soon while he was looking at that cavern on her hind end, his massive red spear from between his legs, started to come out of him. Becoming erect and stiff. Knowing now, that he wants to do this too. And with that, Storm came up from behind her and he began to climb on her back. Mounting her. After he put his weight on her back, Blade moving her wings out of the way for him, drooping to her sides, he nuzzled the back of her neck, purring for his purple lover. Blade was purring back at him, closing her eyes as she loved the feeling of another drake, since Blaze mounting her. She's about to have her chance fulfilled. She held her ground, as he shifted his body above her back. She was feeling his belly, rubbing against her back scales. Storm gripped his claws on the nook of her hips, ready to have Blade full and completely.
Blade whined in total need, as her instincts were getting to her, she was backing her hind end toward his spear. She moved her tail, as far as she could. So he could take her. Storm's mating instincts were getting to him too and he thrusted at the air for her spot. There's no turning back now. They're about to form their union. When after a few times he thrusted, his tip of the pear found that target and he began to bury it into her, very slowly. The beautiful purple dragoness under him, was gasping at the alien thing entering in her and without wasting anymore time, she pushed herself back into it. She wanted more of it, right now. She cried out as more of his length buried deeper in her depths and Storm cried out too, but more in surprise than pain. Her tunnel was clenched tightly around his cock. He gritted his teeth, wanting her walls to relax for him.
They both were just like this for a minute and they both began to relax, their union is now completed. All of his shaft has now entered within her. Soon as his instincts got to his mind again, he began to pull out of her and took her softly with a thrust. He pulled out and repeated the process. Blade purred as he took her again, loving the feeling of it, since Blaze was gone. Now she has Storm doing this to her now. He really is gentle with the her, just like Blaze was.
When he pressed his hips into hers softly, his mate gave out a cute grunt. And she gave out another one when he took her again. She said his name, "Storm." He softly took her again and she held up her head. As he kept taking her, she didn't feel any pain anymore, but now replaced by an incredible feeling of pleasure. She let out a pleasured sigh and her body trembled under his, as she felt the red meat scraping against her walls. His tool continued to send tremors up her spine.
Her tunnel was getting wetter now, and now the dominated drake can take her more easily. He growled at that, his instincts were driving him mad. He began to slam his hips harder and faster, speeding up his thrusts. Blade let out a cry of bliss, as he took her faster. She cried out, "Ancestors, ah!"
Storm was smiling, while he was slamming into her. Knowing that the dragoness he loved for a long time, is loving being speared by him. Blade's claws were clawing at the soft dirt and grass, holding her ground and bracing herself from his thrusts. Her body being bucked back and forth by his hard earned thrusts. She was getting warmer and wetter and she began to pant. The willing mated dragoness screamed for him, "Go more faster, than THAT! Don't stop!"
He's never planning to stop, he's going to give the sexy, purple dragoness his seed. Give her an egg. But he's not done yet. He still has a way to go. Storm's claws were gripping her hips more tightly, drawing some blood, as his claws pricked through her scales. He was trying to go faster than he was before, slamming his massive cock into her hole, again and again. Pleasure was high on his cock and he moaned and so did she. Blade cried out her bliss and held up her head again, snorting. As she was being taken roughly still by Storm. His underbelly being rubbed roughly on her back.
But before anything else could happen, Blade stopped him, "Wait!" She had an idea popped up in her brain and that's why she told him to stop slamming into her.
Course Storm didn't want to stop, but he did so anyways. He didn't want to disappoint her. He pulled out of her and climbed off of her. He asked when he was taking in deep breaths, his chest was heaving, "What?"
Blade's only answer, was lowering her whole body onto her stomach, then she began to roll herself onto her back. Her wings spread out upon the grass and so did her legs. She gave out her explanation with a seductive, loving glance at him, "I want to see your face, when you give me your seed."
Storm laughed at that and he nodded. Blade swished her long purple tail along the ground and begged, "Come back in me, handsome."
Storm obliged at that and he was now towering his body over hers, they both feel their belly's touching each others now. He lowered his snout down to hers and pressed deeply. Both of them kissing again. While they were kissing, Blade's purple tail started to coil around Storm's blue one. Twining together now. Storm didn't waste anymore time and his girth entered through the entrance of her slick tunnel. Entered in her easily, since they already started this binding. He was slamming into her hard and fast like before. Resuming their passionate, love making.
He stopped kissing his lover and was looking down at her, while Blade's eyes rolled back into her skull and moaned real loudly for him. Her pleasured ecstasy was getting to her again. He was ploughing into her and pulling his shaft back out. Her sleek body being moved under him by his hard slams. Her claws were gripping his strong shoulders, as he banged her.
As of right now, he can feel the tip of his shaft hitting the entrance of her cervix. Her tunnel clenched around his cock in response to that. He grunted and she shouted at his ears, "Storm! Claim me! MAKE ME YOURS!!!"
He was snarling and driven by his mating instincts, he was giving her all he's got. And he can feel a pressure building within him and his length twitching with each thrust. He's getting close to claim her.
Storm slammed again and again, and again. And his lover was growling for him too. Storm held up his head and shut his eyes, not wanting his vision to ruin things right now. The pleasure was soring high on him and into her. He moaned for her, "Blade!"
"Storm!" She took another hard slam again and cried out in pure bliss. Then he lowered his head onto her neck and clasped it with his jaws. Not real hard to hurt her and she moaned in total delight at the bestial thing he did to her. He growled when he held her in his teeth.
Storm slammed his pride more than once, his thrusting was becoming more erratic now. He's close, very close. He wanted to finish it now. Feeling his thing twitching more intensely. Until after several more thrusts, he let go of Blade's neck and when he slammed into her tunnel one more time, his cock went through her cervix and he threw back his head, spread out his wings wide and proud and he let out an earth shattering roar, that echoed through the trees in the night.
Storm's girth was now giving Blade's womb his seed, he finally came in her. His lips were curled into a snarl and he gritted his teeth. His cock was spurting fast and large and he was thrusting into her again, adding more pleasure to his mate. Giving her all he has to give her. He finally claimed her and she's taking it.
Blade was moaning and it was music to the drake's ears, he looked down at her face, as he was cumming into her still. Wanting her to know, he hasn't forgotten her. That he knows, she wants him to look at her.
Finally, his spurts were slowing down and there was nothing left now. He slumped onto her chest and groaned. Both of them were spent, the whole thing is finally done. They became full and complete mates. They were both breathing deeply, tired from all this. He was still awkwardly in her, as Blade was looking up at the night sky. Thinking that Blaze's happy for her. Happy that she has found her love, after he died and happy that she'll have a family with her best friend, turned mate.
Storm's cock has softened and popped out of her clit. Leftover cum was spilling out of her. He had a lot to give her. His thing began to retract back into his body and moved his head to look at his new mate now. They were both smiling at each other and he just got off of her chest softly, their tails began uncurl off each other and he laid down beside her on his stomach. Blade rolled onto her and he draped a loving wing over hers. They nuzzled each other noses, both of them purring and Storm laid his tail over hers.
They both just wanted to sleep out there now, so they laid their heads on the grass and closed them. Not wanting to move from their special moment, until morning.
*****
Several Months Later
Storm nuzzled his nose lovingly on the egg that he and Blade created. Onto the hatchling, that'll come out of it soon. He pulled back and looked right at it in happiness shone in his eyes. It was the only emotion he has for the thing. The egg shell was colored blue with purple shadings. He let out a sigh down at it, "I know, you'll make mommy and daddy proud." He blinked twice at the egg. He's laying on his stomach in the middle of the barn, curled up beside his egg. He was waiting for his mate and Marilyn to come back from the village.
Not very long after the night he and Blade shared their first mating together, they both went to Marilyn's house and he introduced Blade to the human he cares for, as his mother. They even asked, if they could stay in the barn from now on and Marilyn didn't hesitate to say yes. She was glad to have company to live in that place. She actually planned to ask Storm about it, but they beated her to it.
For several months, they've been staying at their new home and as days go by, Blade began to show that's her belly's growing. That she was pregnant with their egg inside her. Months later, the egg came out and here he is now, laying with it. Storm's still looking down at it. Can't wait for the day, his hatchling comes out of it. He can imagine him and Blade will become great parents.
And as he thought about Marilyn and Blade, the two females of different species were strolling to the barn. His face lit and he waved his wing tip and paw at them, "Hey there, you two. Just keeping the egg some company."
Blade and Marilyn both laughed, when they've entered through the opening of the barn. Blade lowered her head to Storm's and nuzzled it, "Sorry we took so long."
Storm stretched out his pink tongue and gave her cheek a lick, "It's okay. I liked to be alone with our child."
Blade giggled and came up to lay beside him and the egg, "I'm almost jealous, that you're spending more time with the egg. I should be taking your place and I'm the momma, in the relationship."
Marilyn was chuckling and she strode up the Blade and reached out to caress her neck, "Oh there will be plenty of time for you two to bond. Trust me on that."
Blade said in response, "I know, but thank you."
Marilyn backed away from them and said, "Hey guys, can I ask you a question?" They both nodded and she asked, "I know that I don't mind you guys living in this place, but lately I've been thinking about it and I've thought, maybe you two really deserve a house to live in."
They both cocked their heads and Storm asked, "What are you implying? Dragons can't fit in your houses. We're too big for them."
Marilyn raised a finger, "But I thought, I'd ask the village to help build you two a house. One that'll house a dragon. That the doors will be easier for you to open, that you'll enter your house without any problems. That you wouldn't have to worry about how small the interior is. You'll live in a comfortable home, all to yourselves."
Blade smiled brightly at that and asked, "You'd really do that, for us?"
She nodded at her question, "Yes, my dear. I would. You're like humans and you deserve a home." She gestured to them first, then the egg between them, "For you and your child."
Storm nodded at the idea, "We'd like that, a lot. We...Never had any dragon sized homes, before."
Marilyn chuckled at him, "Hey, just doing a favor for you and my grandchild here."
Blade cooed, "Aw, you're calling yourself, grandma."
Marilyn looked at the purple dragoness, "I never became a grandma before. So I think, having a hatchling for a grandchild, would be an experience for me."
Storm said lovingly at her, "You'd make a great grandmother."
She winked at both the dragons, "Both of you would make great parents." She yawned now, "Well, I need to take a nap. So I'll talk later, alright?" She whirled around and trotted out of the barn. Leaving Storm and Blade alone together. Both of them basking in the late afternoon sun shining through the entrance of the barn house.
Blade leaned into Storm's neck and nuzzled. She was purring and he was too, as he leaned back into her. He said to his mate, "I love you, Blade."
"I love you too, Storm."
And they were both just laying there together, with their egg laying between them. Enjoying each others company as usual. Thee were no words to describe how they really feel right now. They both are mates now, they have an egg together, they both moved closer to Marilyn and soon they'll both have a house made for, by humans.
They both don't know what really lies ahead. But they know it'll be great. Storm has thought about what would happen to Marilyn one day, but that's okay. If she dies, he won't be alone when she does. He'll still have Blade and he won't feel alone. He'll also have his hatchling running around with them too.
And when their hatchling leaves them one day to start it's own life, Storm and Blade won't leave each other. They would always be together, until they die from being old.
