pat's dad was out with some friends and as usual pat was home alone. having always been a pretty independent kid pat didn't mind the lack of his dad's presence, in fact he was enjoying the peace and quiet.

They were pretty close considering pat was seventeen. whenever something bad happened pat always told his dad about it. what happened in the forest last night though wasn't something pat wanted to talk about yet.

He closed the box and handed it to pat while he grabbed one of his own. pat looked at his box and stopped alex right before getting a bite from his pizza. "what are you doing? it's cold!" pat told him.
