A Dragon and Her Human Part 10 (Final of Book 1)
The next Part of this story, this story was very fun to write, anyway, enjoy! About 12.7k words on this one.
I would strongly recommend reading the Element Lore and Part 9.5, you will be missing a substantial amount of plot.
Part 10
“Never mess with a man's family"

A Break is Always Good
Chapter 42
Conner let out a snarl as he stepped out of the large testing chamber, his massive fixed claws clacked against the metal floor of the hallway.
“Once I get my hands on the King Titan, I WILL TEAR HIM APART!" Conner roared.
“Analyzing Simulation performance… We are definitely ready."
“Do you mind seeing if any RF forces are still left?" Conner grumbled as he began controlling his breathing in an attempt to calm himself down.
“The Mothership has two hundred fifty six Starfighters left of the ten thousand."
Conner actually winced when he heard that. “Fuck!" He exclaimed as he smashed his paw into the wall.
“Scramble them and get the fabricator working on rebuilding the fleet." Conner said in a flat tone as he inspected the area on the wall he had struck.
“Get my personal Starship and its twenty Starfighters patrolling Sanctuary… Slaughter all Corrupted on sight."
“Ten-four."
Conner let out a sigh as he changed back into his human form and made his way to the ship's hanger. He stared down at the ground below before stepping off the edge and flying down towards the city.
Daniella let out a sigh as she stared at the clock next to her bed. She had taken claim to a large penthouse suite on top of one of the many skyscrapers in this city and she was in the master bedroom of this luxury apartment.
“He said twenty two hundred hours… it's twenty one hundred fifty eight hours." Daniella let her head flop onto the bed and she closed her eyes.
“Of course she picked a penthouse to live in." Conner chuckled as he touched down on a pool deck at the top of one of the medium sized buildings in the city. His boots clanged softly as he looked at the ripples in the water from the thrusters on his suit.
Conner looked around and it was obvious that someone was living here but it was also obvious that they were very on top of cleaning as the penthouse pool and pool deck were very clean.
Conner entered the penthouse and it was just as clean, if not cleaner. The apartment had obviously been fixed up and modified to fit Daniella's tastes which thankfully weren't too dissimilar to his own.
Daniella's ears perked up as she heard very distinct clanging footfalls and the hum and thrum of a Tek suit inside the main living area of the penthouse.
Conner entered the master bedroom and smiled at what he saw. The Tek suit fell away from him and clattered to the floor before deconstructing and the nanites skittered away to a corner.
Daniella let out a heated growl as Conner took off his clothes and climbed onto the bed.
Conner kneeled next to Daniella and seemed to hesitate for a second.
“Fuck foreplay, Conner!" She barked. “I haven't had you in over seven hundred and fifty two years!" Daniella added with a huff as she raised her left forepaw and tapped her wrist screen causing the lights in the room to dim and turn red and the windows darkened to the point of being almost opaque.
Conner immediately wrapped the dragon in a hug and Daniella quickled reciprocated the hug before she shifted around so she was on top of Conner.
Daniella let out a lustful growl as she pressed her nose into Conner's neck and inhaled deeply.
“Trying to confirm that I'm real?" Conner chuckled as the dragon took another deep breath of his scent.
Daniella let out a snort as she shuffled her hips around until she felt something stiff and warm poke her slit. She inhaled sharply as she adjusted her position until she felt the stiff rod part her pussy lips.
Conner let out a stifled murmur and tensed his entire body when Daniella roughly jerked her hips back causing Conner to hilt fully inside of his wife.
“Just… Nrrgh!" Daniella swallowed thickly. “As good as I remember it!" She added with a pant.
Conner chuckled as he opened his left eye while his right eye remained closed and unscrunched. “Just as tight, hot, wet and soft as I remember it." He said with a smile as his right eye opened and he blinked slowly shortly after.
Daniella flared her nostrils as she lifted up before sitting back down. Conner flared out his own nostrils as a joke.
“I still find it odd that not all humans could do that on command." Daniella chuckled as she lifted off of Conner slightly before dropping back down with a wet slap.
“Not every human could move their ears either." Conner said as he began flexing the muscles around his ears causing them to move slightly.
Conner let out a grunt as Daniella picked herself up again and dropped down fairly hard, the dragon soon got herself into a very rough and moderately fast paced rhythm.
Conner gripped Daniella by the hips as the dragon continued to ride him with reckless abandon. Daniella curled her tail around Conner's right leg and held his shoulders tightly as she felt her first climax building.
Daniella moaned loudly as Conner began stroking her flanks. It always amazed Conner how something could feel so strong and hard yet so soft and smooth.
Conner grit his teeth as he felt Daniella's passage get tighter and start trying to pull his shaft in deeper.
Daniella buried her face into the pillows next to Conner's head so she would avoid biting him as she came Hard!"
Conner's vision blurred as he fought hard to not climax, he grabbed hold of the body pillow that was definitely his size and tossed it off the bed. That was just enough for him to distract himself enough to not explode inside the beautiful beast quivering atop him.
Daniella opened her eyes and pulled her head out of the mess of pillows to stare at the panting but still very coherent human beneath her. “I take it that you didn't finish?" Daniella asked breathlessly.
“no." Conner said quietly as he was also pretty out of breath.
Daniella looked down at Conner and smiled a toothy smile as she picked herself up again and got herself into a fast paced rhythm, determined to make her human finish.
Daniella heard a clack and pop as Conner set his teeth, because of his insane strength he had a much higher bite force so it was very audible when he set his teeth. His bite force was likely as strong or stronger than a wolf's. In his dragon form his bite force was five times that of a Nile crocodile.
Conner unclenched his jaw when his teeth started to hurt and he opened his eyes that he didn't realize he had closed to look up at Daniella.
Daniella smirked before snapping her jaws shut, the pop sounded like it had come from a croc. Her bite force was slightly stronger than a Nile crocodile.
“Ok show off!" Conner chuckled as he gripped her shoulders tight.
Daniella smiled before leaning down and pressing her lips firmly to his own. She broke the kiss after around fifteen seconds and picked up her pace.
Conner let out a strangled grunt as he tried his damndest to hold off as long as possible.
Daniella caught on to what he was doing so she began alternating between riding and grinding. The added stimuli of her clitorus rubbing against Conner's crotch caused her to approach her orgasm much faster than she had expected.
Conner felt his loins grow tighter as he began to lose his battle with his rapidly approaching orgasm. He was not going to last much longer. Just as he was about to explode, Daniella cried out in ecstasy as her tunnel became alive with activity.
Daniella's orgasm intensified as she felt Conner shoot hot thick ropes into her depths.
After what felt like an eternity the two came down from their heights of pleasure.
Conner opened his mouth to say something but that was when both of them became aware of a presence and the sound of footsteps.
Daniella began to roll off of Conner when he suddenly appeared to sink into the darkness itself and a black shape in the form of a human slunk to the ceiling and seemed to look at the doorway.
Two bright red orbs appeared where the eyes should be as a creature appeared in the doorway.
Adalinda peeked into the room and sniffed. “Oops, I seemed to have interrupted something." She chuckled as she saw white creamy substance leaking from above Daniella's tail as she lay on her back.
The shadow on the ceiling seemed to almost sigh in relief before it dropped down from the ceiling and Conner reformed from the living shadow.
“Goddammit Adalin!" Conner barked. “You scared the shit out of me!"
“What do you mean!" Daniella exclaimed in a mix of shock and horror. “You scared the shit out of me with that display!" Daniella added in disbelief.
“Did you not already know I could do that?" Conner asked in confusion.
“No!" Daniella snapped.
“I think I'll come back in an hour." Adalinda said with a nervous chuckle as she backed away from the bedroom door and out the balcony door.
“Daniella…" Conner said as his body turned into a shadow and he disappeared. “I don't hide in the shadows… I am the Shadows." Conner's voice echoed menacingly from every dark corner of the room.
Conner reappeared at the foot of the bed and looked Daniella in the eyes. “Why do you think I prefer to be in the darkness?" Conner asked with a cock of his head and a smile as his eyes changed back to green. “Because I am the darkness and to be completely honest I prefer being in the dark because I feel calm and darkness is much more pleasant than having so many bright damn lights on." Conner chuckled.
“You are still the Conner I started dating in my late teens right?" Daniella asked meekly.
“I'm still the same soul my precious dragon… just have some interesting abilities. I could morph into the shadows in my past lives too, this isn't new." Conner said calmly and smiled when he saw the recognition flicker behind Daniella's eyes.
Daniella sighed in relief before grabbing Conner with a gravity manipulation spell and pulling him into bed with her before she curled around him.
“You know that you can do that too right?" Conner chuckled.
“That is something we will explore when I can stand up." Daniella said softly as she closed her eyes and smiled.
Conner let out a sigh as he watched the suds of soap travel down the drain. The smell of cedarwood, ginger and citrus were very strong in the air from the soap he had used.
He had started making his own soap long ago but most of the recipes he used were not his own but rather 'borrowed' as he would say.
Conner had preferred the cold processed soap over the chemical shite that could hardly have been considered soap safe for human use.
“Come the fuck on!" Conner groaned as he tried to think of the name of the company he had gotten most of the soap recipes from. “Dr. ugh! Fuckin' think you dink!" Conner stared at the brick of soap in his hand as he continued to smell the foresty smell coming from it. “Dr. Squatch! Sweet Fuckin' JESUS!" Conner exclaimed as he placed the brick of soap down with a clack and rinsed himself off.
Conner stepped out of the twenty first century era modern style shower and closed his eyes. The water on his body began steaming off of him and evaporated. The temperature in the room ended up increasing as he had had a cool shower beforehand.
Conner opened his eyes and his body stopped producing a ridiculous amount of heat and he walked out of the washroom.
Conner entered the bedroom and saw Daniella lazily sprawled out on the bed with her hindlegs spread. She chuckled when his eyes widened and his dick twitched.
“You had a shower without me." Daniella said, trying to sound hurt but couldn't help but crack a slight smile.
“You were sleeping and I didn't want to wake you up." Conner said with a roll of his eyes.
Daniella pouted before getting up and walking past Conner, she made sure to brush every inch of her length across his side as she walked past.
Conner turned to look at the dragon after she finished brushing past him and sighed when she lifted her tail.
“I'm spent El." Conner chuckled. “Later." He promised and shook his head when the dragon snorted before disappearing around the corner.
“Wouldn't be surprised if she decides to masterbate and be extremely loud on purpose." Conner muttered to himself as he walked over to his stuff and began putting on clothes.
Conner stepped out onto the balcony and closed the glass door behind him. Just like he had predicted, Daniella was masterbating, she had left the bathroom door open and was being very loud.
“God does she drive me nuts sometimes." Conner chuckled. “I've got no right to complain about something like that." Conner added. “I am damn lucky to have her." Conner smiled as he walked around the pool to the edge of the balcony and placed his right hand lazily on the decorative glass 'railing'.
Conner's smile faded as he looked out at the wasteland beyond the city of Sanctuary. He spotted a moderate sized titan lumbering around. He put his Tek glasses on and they zoomed in on the titan.
The distance displayed was over forty five kilometers from the edge of the city and it was a dinosaur looking abomination. A combination of a ceratopsid and a tyrannosaurid with some humanoid features.
His Tek glasses calculated the height of the creature and it was a mid-sized titan at around seventy meters and height.
“Come closer to the city…" Conner grumbled as his Tek suit covered his body in less than three seconds. “I fuckin' dare you."
“Hostile target location received. Aerial strike group on standby."
“Titan is approaching city perimeter. Weapons free, Delta one and two you are confirmed for launch." Conner said into his radio. “You are free to engage any Corrupted that you spot along the way." Conner added as he stared at the titan.
Conner waited for a few minutes before he heard a very distinct aircraft sound pierce the air. The two strike groups came into view and fired at the titan.
*BRRRRT*
“Good hits, good hits." Conner heard over the radio.
Conner raised his left arm and his Tek helmet zoomed in as the railgun formed. “Shadow one one to Delta one and two, be advised, firing railgun from building four."
“Delta Actual, copy sir, gaining distance."
“All Deltas clear?" Conner asked over the radio.
“All clear sir."
Electricity began crackling along the coils of the railgun as the humming got louder and louder.
A beam of pure energy ripped through the titans left shoulder causing its arm to fall off.
“All Deltas, you are cleared to drop ICBs. Rain down hellfire."
“Delta Actual, we copy, dropping ICBs."
“Kill them all."
“With pleasure Shadow one one."
Conner watched as the two squads of matte black A-10 Thunderbolts dropped incendiary cluster bombs on and around the titan. He chuckled as his three stealth fighters joined in and began strafing the hundreds of Corrupted that attempted to come to the titans aid.
“Computer, deal with those Corrupted wyverns and dragons will you?"
“Copy sir."
“I want you to get my Starfighters involved too." Conner said as he looked up at his personal Starship that was hovering just above the city. The Mothership was barely visible behind a stationary cloud.
The sides of the five hundred meter long Starship opened and twenty Starfighters launched out and joined the chaos around the titan.
“Delta Actual to Shadow one one, returning to base for resupply."
“All good Delta Actual, The AI can take it from here."
“What an ugly fucker." Daniella mused as she sat next to Conner.
“The fuckwit was making his way towards the city perimeter." Conner said as the titan collapsed to the ground after bellowing out a death roar.
“I find it so crazy how different each type of Element behaves." Daniella chuckled.
“Its reaction to Antimatter is fun, although Element-314 doesn't have a reaction to Antimatter." Conner said flatly as his Tek helmet pulled away from his head.
“That may have sucked in the moment and you are lucky you didn't turn out like that but it definitely worked out in your favour." Daniella said with a smile as she placed her head on Conner's right shoulder.
“Thank fuck it worked out in my favour." Conner chuckled dryly. “If only the Russian Federation had been more cautious about Element pollution…" Conner sighed. “The Earth wouldn't be dying."
“We can't change the past but we sure as hell can influence the future." Daniella said before giving Conner a lick on the cheek.
“Wise words." Conner said with a smile.
“Shadow one three to Shadow Actual, you two busy?"
“Go ahead, Shadow one three." Conner responded.
“Shadow one four is getting antsy. She wants to know when we will be killing these three titans."
“Do we have any more patience in stock for Kaida?" Conner chuckled.
“Apparently not." Adalinda responded with a laugh.
“Be down for briefing in fifteen minutes." Conner responded as he looked at his Tek wrist screen.
“Copy that, Shadow one one."
Always So Angry, Aye?
Chapter 43
“Are we all clear on the briefing?" Conner said sternly as the armour plates of his Tek suit shifted and clinked together.
“YES SIR!" Everyone in the mess hall said in unison.
“Good."
The entire room exploded with activity as everyone collected their things and made their way out of the room.
Conner looked over at Daniella before looking at Ares and nodding.
“So which one are we killing first?" David said as his rifle deconstructed into itself and he put it away.
“Desert Titan first." Conner said flatly before patting David on the back. Conner's gauntleted hand clanged fairly audibly against David's own Tek suit.
Conner turned his head to look at David and David looked at where Conner's eyes would be on the other side of the one way dark visor of his helmet, the Shadow Company logo sat proudly at the top of the visor.
The red lights blinked across the matte black armour again causing David to be shaken from his thoughts.
“You good?" Conner asked as he put a hand on David's armoured shoulder.
“Yeah, I'm fine. Just been stressed lately."
Conner chuckled dryly. “ I can only imagine why… Just make sure you keep Diana safe. It's better to keep an eye on your weakness." Conner said coldly before turning away.
“Everyone has a weakness." David said as he remembered something Conner had said a long time ago during a combat mission. David's eyes widened as he realized what Conner had meant when he had leaned into Daniella after saying that. “Daniella is his weakness and Diana is mine." David whispered as Conner looked over his shoulder back at David as he walked away.
A message across David's heads up display caused him to jump.
“Operation CLEANUP is to begin at 1600 hours. Be ready!"
Conner grumbled as he flew into the Desert Proto-Ark biosphere. Unlike the biosphere of an Ark in orbit, creatures could come and go as they pleased but it would deflect incoming meteorites. With the weakening of Earth's atmosphere, meteorite showers were very common.
Conner glanced over his shoulder and smiled when he saw Daniella flying just above him, her wings were held out flat so her Tek suit could do all the work.
The sky behind the two was filled with attack helicopters, fighter jets, Starfighters and one spy plane. Conner's matte black F-22 Raptor was at the front.
“Target spotted, Weapons free!" Conner said over the radio as he spotted the Desert Titan as it drifted lazily through the air, occasionally its flock of tiny bird-like creatures would tear apart an innocent creature.
“Really don't like how much this creature looks like the Desert Titan from Ark the video game." Conner muttered to himself as hundreds of missiles zipped over and under him.
A loud sonic boom shook the sky as Conner ripped across the sky toward the Desert Titan. He smashed into the side of the Titan's head and a very long blade formed on his right gauntlet, the blade was from his nanotech sword and it protruded over the top of his fist and past it being perfectly aligned with his arm.
The titan roared in pain as it was pelted by missiles and from Conner digging the fingers of his left hand into the titan's flesh as he pulled his right arm back and stared the titan in the eye.
Conner's Tek helmet pulled back and he smiled menacingly at the titan as his right arm lurched forward in an extra deadly punch.
Just as the blade of the nano sword pierced the titan's eye, Conner's helmet closed with a clang. His fist connected with the eye and he twisted his arm before pulling his arm in towards his chest, slicing a huge gash where the eye once was.
The titan roared out in agony as Conner slashed the creature's face again.
It finally fell from the sky after being hit with another barrage of missiles.
*SHING*
Purple blood sprayed across the sand as the blade retracted back into Conner's right Tek gauntlet. His helmet pulled away from his face and he spat on the titan before his helmet concealed his face once again as he turned and walked away.
“Burn the corpse." Conner said coldly into the radio as he waded his way into a pool of water nearby.
“Roger that, Reaper." Adalinda responded. “You heard the man! Burn the corpse!" She barked into the radio.
“Yes, General." a few squad leaders said in unison.
Conner looked off to his right and saw Daniella sitting on her haunches with her armour clad tail curled tightly around her legs.
Once Conner finished washing the mess off of himself, he made his way over to Daniella.
“Which titan are we killing next?" Daniella asked as she placed her head on Conner's left shoulder.
“Forest Titan… The Ice Titan is the closest to the King Titan." Conner said flatly as he patted the top of Daniella's head.
Conner stood breathing heavily over the corpse of the Forest Titan with his magical blade planted in one of the monster's eye sockets. He gripped the hilt tighter as the sword caught alight and the entire titan's body was quickly engulfed in flames.
Daniella chuckled as she watched Conner walk out of the wall of fire, the colour of his Tek suit absorbing the light rather than reflecting it.
The sword vanished in a flash of purple light before Conner crouched and nodded to Daniella. He launched out of the Sunken Forest and made his way to the Arctic Proto-Ark.
A massive horn of ice crashed to the ground and Conner landed on his feet next to it as the Ice Titan collapsed to the ground with blood pouring out of many gashes and wounds on its face. The body was also smouldering from the countless missiles that had hit it.
“Computer, get the Mothership in position and prepare GFR Oh Four Oh Six for deployment." Conner said coldly as he watched Shadow Company soldiers move in and torch the titan corpse.
Conner stared at the entrance to the Forbidden Zone and grumbled. A Corrupted Giga was hiding behind a rock in the shadows of the entrance to the mouth of the cave ahead.
“I need all tank crews at the front. Tek soldiers… pick a tank to ride on!" Conner barked as he got in front of the defensive line of tanks. “Ares! I want you, Alex, Chaos, Ajax, Athena and Vulcan in front of the tanks with me."
Conner looked at the hundreds of armoured vehicles in front of him. His entire remaining fleet of Starfighters were hovering above the armoured ground vehicles.
“Remember! This place is hostile! Don't lose your head!" Conner said loudly before climbing up Ares' leg and standing in the saddle. He drew his magical sword and pointed it out in front of him. “MOVE! MOVE! MOVE!" He said loudly and Ares roared as loud as he could causing the cave in front of them to shake and tremble.
The six theropod dinosaurs tore through every corrupted creature in their path. Bullets, rockets, lightning, plasma and energy tore through the horde of corrupteds as the army of soldiers advanced forward.
Ares grabbed a corrupted rex by the neck and bit its head off. “So glad you designed my armour with a mouth shield." Ares chuckled. “Can't even imagine how that might have tasted." He added before grabbing a corrupted raptor in his forepaw and tossing it into a wall of pure silicate, the raptor splattered against the wall of rock like a tomato being thrown against a brick wall.
Ares meandered his way up a path of stone and silicate until he walked up a slight hill and the path ended. It led to a massive open and flat area.
Massive Element roots clung to massive spikes of rock and the Survivor fence sat at the back wall of the flat open plateau that almost resembled an arena.
“What's your plan with big ugly?" Ares asked as he gestured with his nose to a massive scaled mass that was lying on its stomach with its massive tail curled around it.
Conner knew the King Titan's size from the satellite scan he had done. One hundred and fifty six point eight meters tall and two hundred sixty six point one meters long or five hundred fourteen point four feet tall and eight hundred and seventy three feet long.
In the video game Ark, the King Titan had been inspired by Godzilla and because this creature looked exactly like the video game boss, it also shared some similarities to Godzilla.
“Oh you'll see." Conner chuckled as he jumped off of Ares' back and walked a few hundred meters away from his army.
Daniella began to protest over the radio as the King Titan uncurled its tail from around itself and started to get up.
“Drop zone received… Deploying GFR Oh Four Oh Six Codename; Hades… Dare I say 'Prepare for Titanfall?'" The AI chuckled.
Conner looked up at the massive black shape falling through the cloud above him. “This is much bigger than a titan from Titanfall Two and much bigger than any corrupted titan I have fought so far."
“Conner what the fuck is that?!" Daniella said in disbelief over the radio as the thundering roar of the massive black shape falling got louder.
“GFR stands for Giant Fucking Robot." Conner chuckled as Hades smashed into the ground in front of him, the ground actually shook from the impact.
The massive five hundred foot tall robot stood up from its braced position. It was very obvious that Conner had taken inspiration from the Jaegers in Pacific Rim, specifically from Gipsy Avenger in Pacific Rim Two but it was matte black and also had some similarities in design to his Tek suit.
The thrusters on Conner's Tek suit blasted the ground as he launched onto the head of the robot and entered it.
“Pilot Link; Connected, Transferring controls to Pilot." The masculine AI voice of the robot said as a massive sword that just looked like an upscaled version of Conner's magic sword constructed on its back.
Conner grabbed the massive sword off the robots back and got into a fighting stance as the King Titan roared out its challenge.
Conner responded by swinging the large sword in a downward arc and slashed the ground before stomping his right foot.
Conner stepped forward until he was just out of reach of the Titan King and the two began circling each other. He saw out of the corner of his eye, his army had become busy as Corrupted creatures began crawling out of the ground with Elemental roots erupting from the ground after them.
Conner stared the King Titan in the eyes through the connected display of the robot before bellowing out a roar into his helmet.
The massive robot amplified his roar and it became as loud as a roar if he were in his dragon form.
The King Titan responded with its own roar before lunging forward and slashing at Conner's Mek.
Conner parried with his sword before punching the King Titan in the jaw. The massive Elemental monster stumbled and Conner swung at the Titan's side.
The titan wailed in pain before widening its stance and swinging its tail as it spun.
Conner's Mek crashed on its back as its legs were swept out from underneath it. The King Titan stepped forward to try and attack but it was launched back as the Mek's right foot slammed into its gut.
The King Titan crashed into the ground on its back and slid for a few kilometers before trying to get up.
Conner jumped up and lept onto the King Titan. He put the sword on the Mek's back as he straddled the titan and began feeding it punches to the head.
Conner let out a yelp of surprise as he was launched through the air and smashed through a pillar of silicate and rock before crashing into the ground a few hundred meters below off of the plateau.
Conner jumped up and watched as the King Titan jumped off of the edge of the cliff and dragged its claws through the rock as it fell.
Conner stomped his foot and yelled out a challenge before charging the titan.
The King Titan let out a grunt as the wind was knocked from its lungs as Conner tackled it into the cliff face. The King Titan backhanded Conner across the face once it caught its breath.
Conner stumbled back as he felt his real body tense in its seat. He picked up a chunk of rock and smashed the rock across the King's head.
“YOU ARE FIGHTING A LOSING BATTLE!! I HAVE COME TO RECLAIM MY THRONE! YOU WILL DIE!!" Conner roared as he grabbed the King Titan by the throat.
The King Titan narrowed its eyes and snorted as it grabbed Conner by the arms. Conner twisted out of the King's grip before getting behind the titan and hammer fisting the top of its head.
The titan roared in rage as it grabbed Conner by the wrists and threw him over its head.
Conner pulled the sword off his back and drove it into the ground and smashed his right foot into the ground to slow his slide across the ground.
Conner yanked the sword from the ground as he stood from his kneeling position and roared at the King Titan again.
Conner charged forward and drove his sword through the King Titan's chest. The sword embedded itself into the ground as Conner straddled the titan.
The head of the robot opened up as Conner jumped out and changed form before spreading his massive wings.
“THEY CALL YOU THE KING OF SHADOWS!!!" Conner roared in rage over the dying titan king. “I AM THE KING OF SHADOWS!!!" Conner snarled as Hades smashed its right fist into the King Titan's head, flattening its skull.
Conner reared back onto his hind legs and roared as loud as he could.
Loose rock fell and cracks formed in the cliffs around him as a magnitude seven earthquake hit the surrounding area from the insane sound waves that came from Conner's draconic maw.
Conner's entire body became covered in flames as he dragged his claws down the dead titan's front. He climbed up the arm of the robot and perched on its shoulders as it stood up.
Conner ruffled his wings before settling them on his back and the fire across his body quickly extinguished.
He changed back to his human form before entering the Mek and getting into the pilot seat.
Conner let out a sigh as he stepped back and raised the arms of the Mek and jets of flames shot out from a nozzle on each wrist, coating the King Titan's corpse in synthetic dragon bile.
Conner cut the streams of flame before turning to the cliff face and climbing back up to the plateau he had found the King Titan sleeping on.
“Get everyone cleared out of the city of Sanctuary." Conner's voice boomed across the plateau as he looked down at his troops.
“Computer, make sure to clear out all of my personal effects." Conner said as he reached the cliff face at the back of the plateau arena. “Daniella, I'd make sure you clear out your penthouse." He added into the radio as he began climbing the wall.
Conner walked out of a corridor and pushed open a door.
What he saw before him was a platform with a very intricate design. He stepped onto the platform and it lifted off the ground and a ring surrounded the platform.
“Reseed Protocol; Ready."
“Initiate Reseed Protocol." Conner said firmly as he rested his gauntlet clad hands on the ring that acted as a railing.
“You did it…" a voice echoed around Conner. He cocked an eyebrow as he couldn't see anyone. “Over here, Survivor…" the voice said from Conner's left.
“I am no Survivor." Conner said coldly as a holographic display screen appeared in front of him. “Ark System Override Code; one six five two four six three six four nine. Stabilize Homodeuos Protocol." Conner said as he tapped a button on the screen in front of him before turning to the person to his left.
“Helena, I presume?" Conner chuckled as he spotted the spectral being.
“If you are not a survivor, then who or what are you?" Helena asked in confusion.
“I am the Master Overseer." Conner said as he turned back towards the display in front of him and pressed a blinking red button.
“Reseed Protocol; Activated."
Conner's Tek helmet pulled away and he sighed in relief as the Arks began falling from the sky. “Scrub the soil of the bad Element." Conner said with a smile.
“It's beautiful isn't it?"
Conner looked to his right and smiled at Daniella as she sat on her haunches next to him. “It is indeed… almost as beautiful as my wife." Conner chuckled as he draped his arm over her shoulders and pulled her into him.
“I guess I am no longer needed." Helena chuckled.
“You can be reuploaded into the Ark System again." Conner said without looking at the Homodeuos. “Or you can fade into the afterlife… You have plenty of time to decide." Conner added before turning away as the crater that had been visible from Sanctuary had an Ark fall into it, the entire City of Sanctuary collapsed to the ground as the Ark returned home. Each Ark all across Earth shot beams of energy into the sky to heal the atmosphere, repair the ozone layer and purge all of the Element-316 from the soil.
“Where to next?" Daniella asked.
“Base Omega." Conner responded. “I want to set up a phase gate once the colony ship has found a suitable planet. We will come home after that." Conner said with a smile as he looked at Daniella. “Get a colony on another planet up and running and make sure they are connected to Earth." He added as he placed a hand on Daniella's back.
The dragon let out a sigh but nodded before following after Conner.
I Lack the Patience for this Nonsense!
Chapter 44
Conner awoke with a start and spat snow out of his mouth.
'What the fuck?' He thought to himself in confusion as he got up and looked around.
“Oh fuck…" Conner said as he realized where he was. He remembered getting to Base Omega and half of the remaining Shadow troops went to the Colony ship and the other half stayed on Earth.
Conner and the rest of Shadow One had gone into cryosleep until the colony ship found a suitable planet.
The fact that Conner was now in the Genesis Simulation intended to prepare survivors for when the colony ship found a suitable planet, codenamed the Arrival Protocol, was bad. He at least had his tactical gear and didn't seem to be missing anything besides his Tek suit.
“Computer?" Conner asked aloud, not expecting a response.
“Yo!"
Conner spun around and stared in disbelief at a drone hovering above the ground with a digital face on its front. The bot was very similar in looks to HLN-A from Ark Genesis Part One and Two.
Conner let out a sigh and the expression on the front changed to look like the bot had a tongue and was sticking it out in a rude gesture.
“Very funny, Computer." Conner rolled his eyes.
“Bite me." The AI retorted back with a chuckle.
“Did you also create a physical body outside the sim too?" Conner asked.
“Maybe…"
Conner just chuckled before turning away and trying to make his Tek suit appear in the simulation.
“Error! You do not have access to Admin Permissions." An AI voice that was not the sentient AI's said ominously.
Conner turned to look back at the AI and its digital eye was wide in a mix of horror and shock.
“How long have we been on the colony ship?" Conner whispered as snow fell lazily around them.
“It's been six months and two days since you got out of cryostasis and killed Ivan, a month after that we used the phase gate at Base Omega to get to the colony ship… It's been five months and two days." Conner's AI said.
“Fantastic!" Conner exclaimed as he walked over to a mid-sized tree and grabbed it with both hands.
The AI zipped closer to the ground as a tree went flying over it.
“Watch it!" The AI cried out as the tree crashed into the ground.
Conner tried the simulation command again to access his Tek suit but was denied again.
“Alright, Fuck This!" Conner exclaimed as he launched a fireball from his hand, a nearby rock was struck and exploded into fragments. “Ark System Override Code: one six five two four six three six four nine…"
“Access; Denied!" The other AI said.
“Shadow Overlord Verification Code: two seven one five four eight two one nine three…"
“Access; Denied!"
“Master Override Code: TWO SIX FIVE SEVEN ONE NINE EIGHT SEVEN FOUR TWO!!" Conner shouted in rage.
“Access; Granted, Welcome back Reaper."
“Fuck you." Conner grumbled under his breath.
“I really don't like any of this." The sentient AI said nervously.
“You ain't alone on that!" Conner huffed as he entered the command and his Tek suit appeared over his body. “Fucking FINALLY!" Conner shouted in relief.
“I don't think you are gonna like this, sir…" The AI said flatly.
“What is it?" Conner asked in a dead tone.
“I am seeing a list of security breaches inside the Genesis Simulation, alterations to the simulation and countless unauthorized accesses to different historical documents…"
“Any security breaches to the colony ship itself?" Conner asked hesitantly, he knew he wasn't going to like the answer he would get.
“I am completely locked inside the sim with you."
“You're fucking kidding!" Conner said in disbelief.
“I wish I was, Conner."
“FUCK!"
“Someone has definitely infiltrated the ship…"
“Judging by the amount of similarities between this train wreck and the Ark video game storyline, I can only fucking wonder who!" Conner sarcastically scoffed. “I'm gonna fuckin' kill 'em!" He shouted as he began walking through the snow.
Conner stared down at the arctic biome in the Genesis Simulation as he vibrated with rage.
“Any idea how I can regain control of the sim?" He asked the AI without looking at it.
“My sensors are picking up a nearby mission terminal… we might be able to regain some control by force completing each mission."
“You think you and I can open a backdoor through those mission tests?" Conner inquired with a raised brow.
“I can imagine so… if it is who we think it is, I can't imagine it would be too hard to find a gap we could slip through." The AI chuckled as it drifted from Conner's left side to his right.
Conner set his teeth as he saw the mission terminal's location pop up on his helmet's heads up display, he stepped off of the edge of the cliff and his Tek suit's thrusters launched him through the air.
He landed in the snow with a muffled thump. He reached out and touched the mission terminal before going to work as the mission list popped up.
“I think that's the last mission." Conner groaned as he slumped forward and let his head fall onto the terminal, the visor of his Tek helmet clacked against the metal terminal.
“Ohho ho ho!" The AI chuckled in glee.
“Eh?" Conner questioned. “Whatchu find?" He added with a hint of urgency in his voice.
“I found a lot of pieces of what happened outside of the sim."
“And what is that?" Conner asked nervously.
“Rockwell survived… He managed to get to Shadow Base Omega and beamed himself onto the Colony Ship through the phase gate and locked you in the sim. He's had free reign of the entire ship besides the Eden habitat ring for about two months now."
Conner let out a sigh and slammed his fists against the mission terminal before turning to look at the bot the AI piloted next to him.
“So the desert ring is absolutely fuckered, eh?" Conner snarled, his frustration and anger simmering beneath the surface.
“Yes," the AI responded with a heavy sigh.
“Fuck!" Conner erupted, the word laced with a mix of anger, frustration, and the weight of the bad news sinking in.
Conner tapped away at the terminal again before punching it once more out of frustration. “This terminal would be a pile of scrap if this wasn't a simulation." Conner chuckled, trying to use humour to ignore the dire position he was in.
“Even though the desert ring has been turned into Rockwells garden, the Eden Ring is untouched and I think I just got us a window to sneak into the final test mission." The AI said with a cheeky expression on its digital face.
“Oh you did, didn't you?" Conner smiled widely. “Hold on, how is the Eden Ring untouched?" Conner asked suddenly as the question popped into his ADHD brain.
“Someone managed to activate the Ring Separation Protocol in case some sort of contaminant got into one of the rings."
“Well fuck, I knew that was a good idea to implement that into the Colony Ship's AI Protocols." Conner chuckled pridefully.
“Ok! Focus now. Final test! We lock fuckhead out of the sim now, yes?" The AI questioned and the display screen on the drone conveyed a serious expression.
“Yeah, yeah, yeah! Get us in," Conner urged, the red lights across his Tek suit MKII-inspired armour blinking across the matte black finish.
Conner watched as a bubble of bright white light began forming around him, the bubble was made of a hexagonal pattern of mostly transparent hexagons.
The teleporter finally closed and Conner was teleported into a startlingly familiar arena.
“Oh I don't like this…" Conner muttered under his breath as he looked around at the final boss arena of ARK Genesis Part One.
“Ah… The problematic one with his AI friend…" The Master Controller sneered as Conner stepped forward.
The lower half of Conner's helmet pulled away and he spat onto the ground in front of him before his Tek helmet closed up again.
“Ah, also defiant too… I'm going to enjoy snuffing you out…" The Master Controller threatened.
“I lack the patience for this nonsense, Rockwell…" Conner said his name in a twisted and unnatural voice to emphasize his words. “Please do enlighten me on how you expect to snuff out an immortal being…" Conner sneered with a smirk that was hidden behind his Tek helmet.
“Immortal you say?" Rockwell chuckled, completely ignoring the fact that this 'survivor' shouldn't have any idea who he is.
Conner didn't respond, he merely glanced at his AI companion before nodding as a pair of Tek claws appeared over Conner's gauntlets. The Tek claws were exactly the same in design as they were from the video game, Ark, but instead of being white they were mainly red with hints of purple and a barely noticeable amount of white swirling around the inner parts.
The Master Controller's eyes widened in disbelief as he struggled to inspect the survivor's inventory, only to find an absence of any sign of an implant entirely.
“What's the matter? No implant?" Conner cackled, his voice menacingly echoing across the arena. Unfazed, Rockwell growled, his simulated form conjuring a horde of corrupted dinotar and avatar minions to assail the defiant being before him.
A smile pulled at Conner's lips as these minions charged him foolishly. Streaks of light flashed around Conner's gauntlets as he carved through the creatures with his Tek claws, he began swinging his claws faster and faster as each minion fell.
A stray piece of code flew past Conner as he held a corrupted avatar by the throat, he crushed the avatar's neck before chasing after the piece of code and snatching it from the air.
“Phase One; Complete… Initiating teleporter."
“What!?" Rockwell erupted in rage. “How did you-"
“SILENCE FOOL!" Conner thundered, his voice echoing as the teleporter activated, transporting him to a platform closer to the Master Controller.
“Hey, Computer, you mind putting my Spotify playlist on shuffle?" Conner asked, casually beheading a corrupted avatar with his Tek claws, causing it to explode into glitchy shards.
“I gotchu," the AI responded, and the melodic strains of “Black Sky" by Arrows to Athens filled Conner's helmet.
“A little ill-fitting for the given situation, but oh well," Conner chuckled, effortlessly sliding beneath a corrupted dinotar and slashing its underbelly open as he moved.
Conner looked over his shoulder after completing his slide, witnessing the trike disintegrate, akin to that of a large Lego set collapsing after being dropped from a considerable height.
The corrupted avatar that had been riding upon its back managed to regain its bearings enough to raise its bow and pull back the string. The avatar disintegrated in a similar fashion to the trike before him, just as Conner lowered his modern-style black .500 Smith & Wesson Magnum. The large revolver folded in upon itself as he slid it into a slot on the hip of his Tek suit, the slot closed immediately after.
“Keep him distracted. I've almost got it now." Conner read the message that flashed across his vision from his AI.
Conner smirked, noticing the drone piloted by his AI at a fair distance, engrossed in a terminal it had discovered. He then shifted his gaze to Rockwell's avatar head, fixated solely on him. With effortless precision, he cleaved through the minions thrown his way. Each opponent succumbed to Conner's ruthless efficiency. On a good day, very little could impede the Elemental human, and on a bad day, Nothing could stand in his way.
Conner turned back to the AI after rending an avatar in two, it had turned back to him with a smirk displayed across its 'face'.
The Master Controller's eyes widened in fear as Conner appeared directly in front of him and the entire simulation froze, besides Conner and the AI, nothing else could move.
“I do have to give you props, Rockwell," Conner chuckled as he raised his right hand to gesture around them. “You have impressed me, for being a twentieth century scholar, you have navigated a very futuristic world…" Conner turned back to the large purple head with a black digital helmet. The Tek claws over his gauntlets disappeared.
“You not only survived our fight on Ark six one four, but you also survived that Ark's crash landing and managed to get to Base Omega undetected after the crash…" Conner chuckled in amusement. “You managed to hijack my colony ship, kill most of the crew and locked all of Shadow one and the other Shadow Company units with them in the habitat rings…" He sneered in a booming voice, Conner's waning patience was evident in his tone. “Even though I have enjoyed our little game, my patience has run dry." He added coldly as the simulation unfroze.
The second the simulation unfroze, every single corrupted avatar and dinotar turned to the Master Controller, the helmet fell off of his head and his forcefield completely failed.
“This is my simulation after all, Rockwell…" Conner chuckled menacingly as he began floating off of the ground without the assistance of his Tek suit. “And I want my colony ship back…" Conner added with a snarl as the Master Controller's health bar dropped rapidly.
As the Master Controller began to glitch and fade, his features began to pixelate, crackle and distort, Conner threw in one last quip. “You may have called yourself the Master Controller but you kneel before the Master Overseer. Now get the fuck out of my simulation!" Conner barked, his very poor temper shining through his words.
Conner's entire vision was filled with a white flash as Rockwell tried to say something but his voice was too distorted by his defeat.
All he felt was numbness as the bright white faded, Conner opened his eyes and felt the distinct feeling of leaning against a plush fabric cushion with sensors clamped to his hands, feet and head.
Conner shook all of the sensors free before taking his hat and sunglasses off and headbutting the glass of the front of the pod he was in, the glass exploded into tiny shards. He put his hat back on his head with his sunglasses resting over his hat, he grabbed hold of the metal frame and pried it open before crawling out.
He looked over himself and was relieved to see his black combat boots, black cargo pants, black long sleeved shirt, combat vest and black tactical gloves. Conner patted down his pockets and glanced on his left wrist to confirm he had all his things, he saw his Tek wrist screen and felt his phone and wallet. Even after technology advanced beyond the need for a physical smartphone, he had refused to give it up and held onto it, upgrading it to allow it to compete with modern tech.
Conner pulled off his gloves and mentally sighed in relief upon seeing his engagement ring and wedding ring. He pulled his sunglasses off of his hat and placed them over his eyes, the Tek suit quickly covered his entire body in less than a few seconds, the accessories he had had on formed into the Tek suit as the segments crawled across his body and linked together.
“Computer, you there?" Conner asked as he walked forward, the broken glass crunched under his Tek boots.
“Never left." It chuckled into his helmet.
“You said that you made yourself a physical form in reality too?" Conner inquired.
“Yeah, I did." The AI responded.
“Well, why don't you use it?" Conner asked with a more impatient tone than he intended. “Sorry, why don't you use it?" He said in a more friendly manner.
The AI chuckled before a slot opened in the side of his Tek suit and an object flew out before quickly forming into the same bot that the AI had used inside the simulation.
“I guess we should figure out where we are on the Colony ship." Conner mused before walking over to a terminal in the center of the room.
“There is a teleporter not fa-" The AI's words were abruptly cut off by a deafening bang, followed by an alarm blaring and shutters covering the windows in the ceiling above them.
“What the fuck was that!?" Conner exclaimed, his tone a mix of shock and confusion.
The AI was about to say something but the large blast door across from the terminal to Conner was smashed open and a massive Rockwell tentacle came into view.
“Ah fuck!" The AI exclaimed as the tentacle enveloped Conner and dragged him out of the room. The AI zipped after him.
“He's got my arms pinned!" Conner growled furiously as he tried to get his arms free.
“Fuck, fuck, fuck, shit, shit!" The AI mumbled to itself as it searched for something to do.
Conner got his right arm free and the nano sword blade shot out from his gauntlet, he slashed across the tentacle causing it to release him from its grip. Conner landed on the floor beneath him and the AI zipped over to a door panel and triggered a blast door, the sharp edge cleaving through the tentacle as it closed.
“Get fucked bitch!" Conner spat at the four eyeballs in the corner of the room, each eyeball was a different size.
The nano blade retracted back into Conner's gauntlet, spraying purple blood across the floor beneath his feet.
“Well it seems obvious that Rockwell has been busy." The AI remarked in annoyance as they both noticed the fleshy growths in different parts of the room around them.
“You two gnats continue to impress me with how defiant you are." Rockwell chuckled menacingly, his voice coming from everywhere inside the room.
“I think we should get the hell away from all these prying eyes." The AI said, its voice laced with disdain.
“Couldn't agree more." Conner said quickly as he stepped onto a conveniently placed teleporter.
A white flash enveloped Conner's vision and he felt a numbness wash over his body as the teleporter spat him out onto a grassy field.
“As I was saying before being so rudely interrupted, there was a teleporter not far from there." The AI laughed, trying to brighten Conner's mood with its humour.
Conner just rolled his eyes before turning away to look at the landscape around him. “Any idea where the rest of Shadow Company that came to the colony ship with me might have set up a base?" Conner asked as he scanned the area around him.
“Not a clue." The AI sighed.
Conner groaned as he traced along the habitat rings with his eyes, the colony ship had been inspired by the colony ship from Ark Genesis Part Two and that ship had taken some inspiration from the Halo rings from Halo. He scanned the rings as they traveled over his head and ended back around behind him.
“But you are certain that they are in the Eden ring and not Rockwell's Garden, correct?" Conner asked urgently.
“I am certain." The AI reassured Conner.
“This might take a while." Conner grumbled in annoyance as he launched into the sky. The AI's physical form latched onto the Tek suit before slipping into the slot on his side. The slot closed back up immediately after.
Let's End This, Shall we?
Chapter 45…
“Daniella!" Adalinda said urgently as she rushed into her personal quarters in their outpost.
“Yeah, what is it?" Daniella asked in a slightly annoyed tone, the larger 'ness had startled Daniella.
“So I've been able to get some partial systems back under our control and I just got a message that the Master AI has just gained access outside of the simulation!" Adalinda exclaimed in excitement.
“Oh shit!" Daniella said in shock as she sat up from her seat. “Did you find anything else?" She asked urgently.
“Oh nothing else important besides someone locking Rockwell out of the sim, getting themselves out of the sim and activating a teleporter to travel into sector forty five of the Eden habitat ring." Adalinda said nonchalantly with a smirk plastered to her snout.
“Oh my God!" Daniella cried out in relief. “Anything else?" She prodded desperately.
“They are definitely wearing a Tek suit and that Tek suit was detected by the sensors going over mach five. It's currently in sector thirty." Adalinda said with a growing smile as she saw Daniella's mood brighten at hearing that her husband had gotten out of the simulation.
“All units be advised. This is Shadow one one, I think it's time we deal with this Rockwell problem, eh?" Conner's voice came over the radio as the sound of an approaching aircraft got louder.
Daniella dashed out of her quarters and looked up to the left, a black shape was approaching quickly before it dropped out of the sky and smashed into the ground less than fifty meters from the front gate of the outpost.
Daniella leapt into the sky and flew straight for the Tek suit that landed at the edge of the outpost.
“OOF!" Conner grunted in surprise as Daniella tackled him at almost full speed. He began laughing as his Tek suit pulled away from his body. “Yes I am happy to see you too, hun." Conner chuckled while stroking the back of the dragon's neck.
“So we are clear on the briefing?" Conner asked as he looked around the room.
No one said a thing so Conner nodded before pushing away from the table he had been leaning on. “We will meet at the terminal four kilometers to the east of here at eleven hundred hours." Conner ordered before walking out of the central tent of the outpost, his Tek suit singing its eerie song as he walked away.
“So how do you think this is going to go?" Daniella asked Conner as she sat next to him on the top of the perimeter wall of the outpost.
“One can only speculate, Ella." Conner said softly. “Although Rockwell foolishly has taken up residence in the captain's chamber of the ship…" He added with a chuckle.
“We have your Charger, Raptor R, GT-R, Mazda3, Rimac, Cadillac, and my Mustang but all of your other stuff is either back on Earth or in the captain's chamber." Daniella said before narrowing her eyes at Conner. “What was in the captain's chamber again?" She asked with a suspicious smile.
“Oh you know, my F-22, F-35, X-35, the SR-71, and something else." He chuckled.
“Something else indeed." Daniella rolled her eyes before looking out across the landscape in front of them.
Conner and his troops arrived at the teleporter at eleven hundred hours, Conner activated the specific parameters for the teleporter and went in first with the rest of Shadow One. Everyone went into the teleporter in teams after.
“Is that everyone!?" Conner shouted.
“Yes Sir! We are the last ones through."
Conner nodded before opening the driver door of his Dodge Charger and grabbing the water canteen from the bottle holder in the door. He stood back up and closed the door, he turned to the left and the letters at the top of the windshield of his Rimac Nevera made him smile.
“Outta Your League" was spelled out at the top of the silver and blue car's windshield.
Conner tore his eyes away from his only 'EV' that he had, even though it hadn't polluted the environment to harvest the resources and make the battery for the car like a typical EV, he scanned to squads of hardened soldiers around him before climbing onto the roof of his Dodge Charger.
“So, we are all very clear on the briefing?" He asked in a stern tone.
“Yes Sir!" Everyone shouted in unison besides Daniella who merely sat next to his Charger, looking up at him, her face was hidden by her Tek helmet but Conner knew she was listening.
“My AI was able to map out the most direct route to where Rockwell's actual body is. Most of the organic matter around is indeed Rockwell but his brain, heart and other vital organs are in that room. I have no idea what to expect once we enter that room, Rockwell may be a twentieth century man who has gone completely mad, he is still very smart. Keep your head on a swivel and follow my lead." Conner said loudly before hopping down from the roof of his car. “Ares' with me." He added loudly as he looked at the large black indominus.
Ares let out a short chuff before following after the matte black Tek suit that vanished down the dimly lit tunnel ahead of them.
The company of soldiers had almost completed their journey to where Rockwell was and Conner was getting uneasy at how quiet it was, the hair on his entire body had been pressing up against his clothing and the inside of his Tek suit the entire time. He knew they were being observed, one soldier would occasionally point out an eyeball, but other than that, it had been quiet… too quiet.
“I hate to say it but we have all definitely been thinking it, it's been to fucking quiet." Ares grumbled, the starlight from the occasional window and the lights from Tek equipment and flashlights were the only thing illuminating his armour clad form.
“We are almost there, quit yer bitchin'." Conner grumbled at the large hybrid dinosaur.
“Bite me, father." Ares hissed with a snort.
“Maybe I fuckin' will." Conner shot back.
“Boys!" Daniella yelled. “Ares, quit it!"
“Yes mother." He sighed.
“Conner, so help me, cool it!" She hissed at her husband.
Conner stared at Daniella from inside his Tek helmet before looking away slowly as they all walked down one of the many large maintenance tunnels of the colony ship.
A massive blast door opened to a large room, audible clanging footfalls were heard followed by the hum and thrum of a Tek suit.
“Ahh, another survivor has come to challenge me…" Rockwell chuckled, his massive inflated ego shining through his words.
“Stuff that ego right back up your ass where it came from, Edmund." The 'Survivor' sneered. “And I am no survivor." The man in the Tek suit chuckled as the sounds of six different theropod carnivores walking was heard.
The head of an indominus rex wearing a Tek helmet came into the light, the Tek helmet was gloss black with red light strips. The massive indom let out a distinct and very deep chuffing sound as its helmet pulled away from its mouth to show its lips pull into a twisted and toothy smile.
“Weapons free!" Conner shouted as everyone spilled into the room after him and got into formation.
“You bring your army… how about I introduce you to my own soldiers…" Rockwell's voice echoed from everywhere, his tone was dripping with confidence and amusement.
Conner raised his rifle and opened fire as sixty creatures that obviously had once been human, lizardfolk, elven and dwarven, Conner mused that these were most likely some of the crew or survivors that had still been in the simulation. These creatures stood at nine feet tall and were heavily mutated with their intestines on the outside of their body.
“Suitable planet; located… Preparing for Arrival Protocol."
“This colony ship has fallen under my control and so will this new planet." Rockwell cackled evilly.
The rest of the soldiers that had followed Conner in opened fire, Ares headbutted one of the grotesque humanoids and sent it flying across the large chamber.
“Well this is just lovely!" The AI groaned loudly as one of the humanoid monstrosities tried to swing at it with a sword made from bone and flesh.
“So we want to sword fight?" Conner barked as he dashed to the left to avoid a swing from a bone and flesh sword from a corrupted crew member or survivor. “We'll fuckin' sword fight." He added with a growl as the blade covered in runes, text and spell tomes appeared in his right hand from a flash of purple light.
Conner parred the next swing and used the moment from the creature to throw it off balance before bringing his sword down into its lower back hard, the sword sliced the corrupted human in two.
“You will all fail… you are but mere ants scurrying in the footprints of a GOD!" Rockwell boasted, his words dripping with a colossal ego and overbearing self-importance.
“All of that Element three one six has really gotten to your head, eh Rockwell?" The AI remarked.
Conner rolled his eyes as he cleaved through another one of Rockwell's minions.
“Silence you stupid computer program!" Rockwell barked in annoyance.
Conner leaned over to the AI as he swung at another minion. “I think you might have struck a nerve with that one." Conner whispered with a chuckle.
The digital display on the AI's drone made a smirking face after Conner said that.
“God his ego is so big, you can actually fucking see it!" Daniella groaned as she swung her tail at a minion and broke its neck with how hard she hit it.
“His ego is so big, it makes me feel sick." Chaos exclaimed as she pretended to gag inside her Tek helmet.
Rockwell snarled, “You all won't be laughing when I come out of this victorious!" He proclaimed as tentacles erupted from the floor inside the chamber.
One tentacle struck Ares across the face so hard that he saw stars and another sent Daniella flying.
Adalinda rushed over to Daniella who was struggling to get back up because she had been briefly knocked unconscious. “That was a huge mistake to harm a mother and child in front of the father." Adalinda snarled.
Conner's body was visibly vibrating from rage as lightning began dancing across his sword and armour.
Ares managed to compose himself and bellowed out a fierce roar of rage while Conner's Tek suit exploded across the room and his form instantly changed into a massive black dragon.
“You dare strike my child and wife… I WILL TEAR YOU APART!" Conner snarled as the Tek suit crawled up his forearm and he roared as loud as he could.
Conner took out six different tentacles with his tail as his Raptor R fired its winch at another and pulled it down so the Dodge Charger could ram into the middle of it.
Fire was blasted across the ground as Conner annihilated Rockwell's tentacles and minions.
“Of course, I should have known that leaving these mindless pets to do this for me would be unsuccessful. Congratulations, you now have my undivided attention." Rockwell hissed as huge thumping footfalls were heard from a very far corner of the massive chamber. Conner knew this chamber was about as large as the chamber he had used to test the GFR-0406.
A massive tentacle came from the shadows and wrapped around Conner before tossing him across the room at breakneck speed.
The sound he made as he collided with the wall would make any medical expert grimace. Rockwell's massive true form came into view and all of the Shadow Company operatives gasped.
It looked like a massive grotesque and mutated human, the face resembled that of Sir Edmund Rockwell but his left arm had tentacles on the end rather than a hand, his other arm had a proper hand with wicked claws. Rockwell was easily between four hundred and fifty to five hundred feet tall.
“This has been very fun I do say, but my patience gro-" Rockwell was abruptly cut off as a roar shook the massive chamber.
“I'm not done with you, Edmund…" Conner's voice echoed across the chamber as the sound of a massive machine powering up was heard.
“Pilot Link; Established… Weapon Systems; Online." A robotic masculine voice echoed around the chamber as a massive bipedal machine charged Rockwell.
Hades tackled Rockwell at full speed and the two grappled with each other for a few seconds, fighting for the top position.
“I will tear you apart!" Conner roared in rage as he grabbed Rockwell by the throat and threw him across the room. “You decided to take up residence in the very chamber I was storing my Mek and aircraft." Conner chuckled as the sound of four aircraft engines were heard spooling up.
20mm cannon rounds ripped through Rockwell's left leg as the F-22 Raptor taxied itself into the large chamber.
Rockwell roared in pain before charging over to the stealth fighter, Conner charge tackled the massive once human before he could get close.
Conner connected blow after blow to Rockwell's face with the massive Mek's fists. Conner let out a yelp of surprise as he was launched across the arena. Rockwell got up and spat blood from his mouth.
“I will say that you have impressed me but you require technology to compete with me… You will kneel before a God eventually."
“You bore me with your constant self praise. Shut the fuck up!" Conner exclaimed with a groan.
Conner charged the large humanoid before jumping into the air and landing a kick into the centre of Rockwell's chest, Rockwell was sent flying and crashed into the observation tower windows of the colony ship.
Rockwell tried to get up but Conner drew the massive Mek's sword and plunged it into Rockwell's chest.
“How's this for kneeling!" Conner sneered as he was in a kneeling position over Rockwell. The monstrous human tried to say something but Conner just pushed the sword in deeper.
As Conner stood up, he ripped the sword from Rockwell's chest and stowed it on his back. As Rockwell sat there wheezing, Conner noticed the blaring alarms.
“Conner!" The AI exclaimed. “Rockwell has embedded himself so deeply into the colony ship's systems that they are failing alongside his vitals!"
The entire observation tower shook as the Eden habitat ring separated from the rest of the ship, it smashed into the solar sails as it passed by.
Rockwell mustered up as much strength as he could and willed one of the many massive tentacles in the chamber to strike the massive Mek across the chest as hard as it could.
Just as the Mek was struck in the chest, the massive arm mounted railgun discharged a retaliation shot into Rockwell's chest.
Conner's eyes widened as a flash of bright white sparks erupted from the chest of his Mek. The head of the Mek smashed into the wall of the observation and testing chamber as debris from the solar sails ripped through the hull of the ship.
The last thing Conner remembered before everything went black, was him being launched out of the Mek and debris hitting the Tek suit creating bright white sparks before he saw a new planet below him as his head struck a jagged metal frame piece. Tungsten and titanium sparks are bright white.
…
Ringing… high pitched ringing filled his ears as he groaned and rolled over. Conner opened his eyes and raised his right hand over his face as the sight of a sun cutting through a clearing blinded him.
He noticed the state of whatever he was wearing was cracked and had chunks missing.
Conner sat bolt upright as he examined his Tek suit, it was in shambles… cracked, scuffed and with pieces of the armour plating missing. His carbon crystal visor was partially shattered and his right eye was completely exposed while his vision through his left eye was distorted from the cracked crystal.
Conner looked around him and realized he was in a fairly deep crater that had most likely been created by his impact with the planet's surface. He looked down at the chest of the Tek suit and grabbed at the empty area that should have been housing the Elemental Powercore.
'This is bad.' He thought to himself as he got up. His Tek suit didn't fall off of his body like he had expected it to, it was held together but very very damaged.
Conner crawled out of the crater and looked around him. He was in the middle of a forest that looked like it came from Earth but the plants didn't look quite right.
Conner spent a few minutes walking in increasingly larger circles around the crater he caused, he was desperate to find the powercore…. His mind began to wander and a thought popped in his head that the powercore might have been destroyed.
He began to panic before he heard a very familiar and eerie humming sound a few paces away. Conner approached the sound and spotted an object glowing bright blue on the ground.
A sonic boom shook the sky and a black object shot across it at supersonic speeds.
“Computer?" Conner asked nervously as he flew towards a pillar of black smoke billowing into the sky.
“AI drone status; destroyed…"
“What!!" Conner exclaimed as he cut the thrusters and crashed into the ground next to his massive Mek.
“Detecting nearby storage vessel."
Conner climbed into the damaged remains of the Mek, Hades, and located a blinking backup server inside the large robot. He pressed his right hand to it.
“Master AI, located, transferring to new vessel…. Download complete."
“Sir, Rockwell has been dealt with." The AI proclaimed pridefully. “The Eden ring separated and the rest of the colony ship crashed into this planet's moon."
Conner let out a sigh as he heard the AI's voice. “Thought I lost you for a second there." Conner chuckled light heartedly as he got into the head of the Mek and sat in the pilot seat.
“System rebooting… Powercore; stabilizing."
Daniella watched from a distance as Hades stood up and picked up its left arm; the Mek's arm had broken off at some point. As the arm reattached to the shoulder, all other damage to the hull began to repair.
Conner took a few steps to test the Mek before looking around him, as he looked around he saw the Eden habitat ring had collided with the planet he was on and was definitely broken.
“The Ark System on the ring is still operational, zero permanent casualties after Rockwell's defeat." The AI chimed into Conner's ears.
“Who had to respawn?" Conner asked as he approached the smoking ring.
“Just a few soldiers from Shadow Five."
Conner disembarked from the Mek and walked towards the habitat ring, he turned his head because of a noise to his right, his Dodge Charger and Raptor R were slowly driving towards him. He was about to say something to the AI but was plowed over by a large black shape.
Conner came to his senses again and saw a dragon wearing Tek armour sitting in his lap. “Why do you always have to do that?" Conner groaned as Daniella's helmet pulled away to reveal her wide grin.
“So what now?" Daniella asked as she and Conner sat at the edge of a cliff to watch the sunset. The dragon was lying on her belly, curled around the human in a half moon shape as he sat, leaning against her side.
“We are a little stranded and have no idea where Earth is at the moment." Conner chuckled as he felt Daniella curl her body tighter around Conner. “The best thing would be to set up a colony on this planet and reestablish connection with Earth, our parents are definitely worried about us."
Daniella sighed heavily before placing her head in Conner's lap and looking him in the eyes. “Can you promise me something?"
“Yeah?" Conner cocked an eyebrow and looked Daniella in her bright crimson eye.
“Promise me that you will stay in my sight for the rest of eternity."
Conner chuckled, “Now you know I can't promise you that but I can promise that if we ever get separated again… I will find you again." Conner said firmly.
Conner looked over his shoulder and saw Ares walk out of the treeline with Alexandra, Chaos, Ajax, Vulcan and Athena right behind him.
“Mind if we join you to watch the sunset?" Ares asked quietly.
“No need to ask me that, your mother and I aren't busy either." Conner chuckled.
“Conner!" Daniella exclaimed as Ares' bioluminescence turned bright red from embarrassment.
They sat in silence for a good minute or two before Conner spoke.
“No matter what happens to us in the future, you will always be my dragon." Conner said lovingly as he stroked Daniella's neck.
“And you will always be my human." Daniella added with a smile.
…
The End…?
Post Story Notes:
Well then… this has been a wonderful learning experience and I thank everyone who read the entire story. I know the first two parts were a little rough and my next story should be much better.
This obviously isn't the last of Daniella and Conner as I set it up to explore Crimson Darkness' story, Desmond's and Jacob's which will centre around Conner and Daniella's past lives. The ending has been left open as I plan to write a book two and I intend to rewrite this story too.
I have plenty of stories down the pipeline and the next one will probably be a Sci-Fi Cyberpunk type story.
Anyho! Peace bitches!
