The lava gnorcs weren't actually covered by lava as flame had feared, but strong volcanic rock. they could, however, _spit_ lava which was just as bad. flame had been ready to take on gnorcs maybe, but not gnorcs spitting lava.
Spyro's Woolly Adventure
Spyro was satisfied at least and after a celebratory drink the pair headed to where the last of the gnorcs was. a lone gnorc was standing leaning on a rock while not paying any attention.

Since when did gnorcs knew how to apologize? as they walked into the gnorc lands, they saw more and more gnorcs. all of them were taking down the banners and knocking down the statues of their leader gnasty gnorc.

As if on cue, two breeds of gnorc, a warrior gnorc and a common gnorc respectively, bust into the room.

With one swipe, spyro sent him sprawling, and tumbling off of the fortress like so many gnorcs had already. deciding to let him go, spyro flew over to assist ember. the rest of the gnorcs fell like dominoes.

Flame was home, because he didn't have his fire breath and couldn't fight gnorcs. but there has to be more to do in the other realms than torching things and fighting gnorcs, flame felt. but there were many things flame could do!
Spyro - Hero
He fought like an animal, incredibly, cutting down gnorcs left and right. a gun shot pierced his tail; blood trickled out of the wound. he cried out and threw the gnorc that shot him bodily into a building, bringing it down on top of him.
Years On
He was fighting gnasty gnorc...again....and the huge gnorc was most definitely losing. spyro didn't have to give the gnorc his full attention, this was too easy.
